Spider-Man Meets the Flex Fighters

At the Academy for Future Leadership, the Stretch Fighters in their civilian identities along with some of their closest allies were sitting at a lunch table to discuss some soup hero business. Jake Armstrong looked around the table at his fellow Flex Fighters Nathan Park and Ricardo Perez and then at Riya Dashit and Erika Violette. Theses were some of Jake's most trusted friends who were al aware of what a real monster Rook was and needed to be taken down. The group discussed some current important issues going on in their lives and the city.
The first order of business was to try and figure out how to wake Dr. Celo AKA Dr. C from the coma Rook had put her in. They had let Mr. Savic examine her and then had reached out to scientist Don Robertson to examine Dr. C to figure out what was wrong with her. According to them Dr. C had been sprayed with a powerful nerve toxin compound capable of putting people into long lasting comas. The Flex Fighters went about trying to find a chemical that could undo the nerve toxin compound and had located it, unfortunately it was in a very secure Rook Industries lab and Rook most likely knew they would come for the compound, so he probably had a trap of some kind already set up. The team was trying to figure out a way to get the chemical without running into trouble, but weren't having too much luck. Dr. C was currently in one of the many safe houses scattered around the city with a robot monitoring her condition and tending to her.
Next order of business was Officer Reynolds. He was a part of Rook's security team and had learned about the truth of the Flex Fighters and Rook's actions, during the Tech Men's attempted takeover of the city. After the incident the Flex Fighters had thought for sure that Reynolds would for sure go out to the public and tell them everything regarding the Flex Fighters and Rook, but instead he had been promoted to Rook's head of security and had backed up Rook's story about the Flex Fighters being villains working with the Tech Men. This could only mean that Reynolds was either being mind controlled by Rook or that the man claiming to be Reynolds was an imposter. If it was the second one, what happened to the real Reynolds? Was he dead or being held captive somewhere. The group made plans to try and lure out Reynolds and capture him to see if he was the real one being mind controlled or an imposter.
Next up to discuss was Erika and the powers she had gained to help defeat the Tech Men's plans. Erika had gained the power to manipulate and generate energy, which could come in handy in dealing with Rook and the Tech Men in future battles, though Nathan was concerned since Erika didn't have much training and fighting experience in using her powers, but Erika insisted she wanted to help fight and defend the city and the others assured him that they would protect her.
The second of last thing to discuss was taking Rook down and exposing Rook for the monster and criminal he was. Easier said then done. Rook practically had control over all the city and the media and had spent years presenting himself as a nobleman who used his powers for good. Rook had been careful with keeping his past secret as well as his Stretch Monster identity hidden. The man was very smart and had tons of resources at his disposal. True he had allowed his obsession with the Flex Fighters to send his entire security force after them allowing the Tech Men to take him down and take control of his tower, but it was very unlikely that Rook would make that mistake again.
Finally the group decided to discuss the new hero Spider-Man.
"So you think this Spider-Man is working for Rook?" Asked Ricardo.
"I don't know. Rook hasn't publicly endorsed him or anything like that." Said Jake.
"Maybe he's just a huge fan of Scarlet Spinner." Said Nathan.
"We need to find him and confront him to see what he knows." Said Riya.
"Let's talk to him first and see what he's about. Don't want to waste our time fighting someone, who could potentially be an ally. We can use all the help we can get." Said Jake.
"You're right." Said Riya in agreement thinking back on how she and Dr. C had first fought against the Flex Fighters instead of talking them and telling them the truth about Rook and his plans.
"So how do we do that?" Asked Erika.
"We just have to monitor the police and Rook security scanners and hopefully that'll lead us to Spider-Man. Also keep an eye out for him, you never know when you might just run into him." Said Jake.
"Sounds like a good enough plan to me." Said Ricardo.
"Hope this guys on our side and not just another Rook lackey or super criminal." Said Nathan.
"I hope so too." Said Jake.
Meanwhile across the city at the local prison Mickey Simmons the former head of the Stickshifts gang was in his cell grumbling about his life. Since Simmons wasn't a super criminal he had been put in a regular jail and would most likely spend a very long time there. Simmons had heard that his gang had been trying to cause trouble to force the police to release him, but hadn't had much luck in that endeavor. He also heard that a new hero called Spider-Man was giving the Stickshifts and other gangs a hard time. Things just weren't looking well for Simmons.
It was then that there was a loud explosion outside Simmons's cell and smoke began to bellow into the hallway. Simmons peaked out through the bars to see guards rushing at some unknown intruders only to get blasted by a concentrated blast of vibrating air that knocked them to the sides. Ricochet came bouncing around the hall taking out some more guards. Shocker walked down the hallway followed by Ricochet and Ox as they headed over to Simmons's cell.
"Mickey Simmons, we've come to bust you out and offer you a chance to join a new organization." Said Shocker.
"I'm in! Whatever you're planning I want in." Said Simmons exited at the opportunity to be free.
"Good choice. Ox let the man out." Said Shocker.
Ox ripped the door of the cell off and Simmons walked out. Shocker then blasted a hole through the floor to what appeared to be the sewer system and the four man jumped down and began to run. After several minutes and a dozen twists and turns they came to a ladder. The four men climbed the ladder and came up to an alleyway where a limo was waiting. Shocker got into the passenger's seat next to a man who appeared to be a driver and Simmons and the others got into the back. Simmons found himself facing a man he had never seen before, but from the looks of him he meant business. The limo drove off and joined the normal traffic and the man spoke.
"Mickey Simmons, the former leader of the Stickshifts. I'm Hammerhead. I'm new in town and I plan to setup shop here with the local gangs. I had you freed to put in a good word with the Stickshifts and other gangs, so I can unite them into one criminal organization."
"Have the gangs unite? That's easier said then done. What makes you think you can do that." Said Simmons.
"Because I have a lot of experience working with gangs and creating criminal organizations. The Stickshifts and the other gangs are powerful, but they keep fighting among themselves making themselves weaker and bringing in less profit and business. If they unite and join forces they can become stronger and richer then you or them can possibly imagine. I have the know how, plus I can set them up with some real dangerous weapons and gear like my associates who just sprung you. This is a golden opportunity to become something great." Said Hammerhead.
Simmons thought for a few moments and then spoke.
"Alright I'm in."
"Good choice. This'll be the beginning of something beautiful." Said Hammerhead with a smirk.
