It's time everybody! Time for an all-new update for "Metamorphosis". In our last chapter, our heroes got samples of the venom from the stinger on Xenon/Blake's tail, but some of them got affected by the venom that made them drugged. They also got confronted by the police when they were starting their quest to get the required ingredients for the antidote that'll turn Blake back to normal. Now, the mission will continue here and now! Enjoy!
"Progress report?" Leonardo asked.
"Well, we got the carbonated water." Michelangelo answered as he took out a soda bottle.
"Soda? Really? Soda is soda, Leonardo, it's not water!"
The turtle sighs. "Seriously, Leo? Even YOU don't know that soda has carbonated water in it?"
"Oh, of course. Sorry."
"Well, we also got a sample of Xenon's DNA, considering he's already with us." Kate said.
"I got some glucose." April spoke up. "It wasn't easy because the only place where glucose can be found is inside plants. I had to extract the sugars from the plants thoroughly."
"Well, that's good. So, Xenon? Do you know where we can find some MacGuffum 237 and some Metasi-porium?
"Oh, it's not so simple as it looks, Kate." Xenon answered. "Those two compounds are extremely rare, and it would take a week to find some."
"Not even in other labs?" Michelangelo asked.
"Nope. It's so rare to find Metasi-porium that only one last scientist has it."
"Who is it?" Splinter asked.
"Baxter Stockman. But MacGuffum 237 can easily be found in 200 other labs."
"Do you know the nearest one, Doctor Jekyll?" Donatello asked.
"Just Mega Sci Scorp in New York, owned by Dr. Marz. But he is known to be very strict and doesn't like the public too much and doesn't do favors."
"Then we'll force him under threat of prosecution for resisting the High Council on important business. Simple as that." Raphael said.
"If it wasn't for the fact that he's really good friends with the mayor, then by all means, let's threaten to arrest a government favoring lead scientist."
"Then, why not just secretly break in and just take the stuff?" Donatello suggested.
"I doubt it will work. Dr. Marz' labs have more security than the Pentagon. Not even someone as small as a mouse could make it through without being caught. There's laser grid, energy fields, motion sensors, turrets, super soldier robots, and about 500 cameras. There's even the worst thing security technology has ever come up with. Silent alarms."
"Well then, that changes everything." Kate commented.
"What'll we do, Leonardo?" Michelangelo asked his brother.
"C'mon, Mikey, we've been through worse scrapes than that, right?" The turtle replied.
"Actually, Leonardo, there's one flaw." Donatello spoke up. "Remember when Cynthia's employees captured and extracted our mutagen."
"Yeah?"
"There's a good chance that if we get caught, everyone will lose trust in us."
"BLAST! You're right."
"Then that's it!" Xenon complained in defeat. "I'm finished!"
"How about this?" Donatello suggested. "What if, we do something that'll make the mayor lose interest making Marz her favorite? As if, if he is doing an illegal experiment that he thinks would benefit all things living, or even, a secret agent to any villain teams, or even an embezzlement scheme?"
"Well, Marz does have a history, a negative one at that. The mayor, regardless of her friendship with Marz, has however disapproved of some ideas, like this one time when he wanted to make a super weapon guaranteed to make all pest species extinct! Luckly, the mayor fears being morally frowned upon, so she nixed the idea, especially if the EPA gets word of it."
"Well, since a simple break in is out…sensei, do you know if Marz is up to anything that would make him fall out of the mayor's favor?"
"Yes." Splinter responded. "He is in secret making that super weapon, despite that the mayor discouraged the idea. But do not think the mayor will take me seriously, because, well, my age works against me. She'll think I'm just a delusional old fool."
"Ok, then we're gonna have to get physical evidence, and we also have to shut down the power of the place!" Leonardo declared. "It'll be risky, but a life is at stake!"
"We of course have to be very smart about this." April agreed. "We need someone to take out the guards and keep Marz distracted."
"Me and Donnie got the keeping Marz busy part." Raphael said. "We'll go as two rich guys who will offer him an endless funding to his work!"
"Me and Splinter will handle the guards!" April exclaimed.
"Leave disabling the power, and any backup generators to me!" Xenon also exclaimed. "Fortunately, Marz was foolish enough to only have ONE backup generator! Also, I once read in a thrown-out newspaper that his superbots are on the frits, because an idiot guard spilled soda on the super-computer, so, the robots would basically be useless, and they have yet to actually repair the problem."
"Then Operation: Mega-Sci-Exposure, is a go!" Leonardo yelled.
At Mega Sci Scorp, two normal guards stand guard. "I'm bored." One of them said.
"Yep, not a lot of action here." The other one replied. "Hey, wait. If this were a cartoon something bad would've happened to us right about no—" Splinter and April knock them out.
"We must hide them!" April exclaimed. "If another guard sees them, there'll be a good chance we'll get caught."
"I'll take care of them." Splinter said before hopping with both guards onto the roof and placing them there.
Donatello and Raphael watch the action while disguised as millionaires. "Alright, Donnie, are you ready for this?"
"Ready when you are." Donatello answered.
"Well, let's blow out this candle." The two turtles walk down toward the company in a gentleman-like posture.
"Okay, here we go!" Xenon said before retracting his wings and gliding over to the roof."
"Alright, it's up to us to get the evidence we need to turn the mayor against Dr. Marz." Leonardo said like a fearless leader. "Let's roll!" He and Michelangelo slide into the building while Donatello and Raphael walk towards the door. Then Donnie knocks.
Dr. Marx, an angry-looking ram answers the door. "Yes, who is it? Who are you and why didn't the guards stop—" He notices that the two dog guards are gone. "Darn it! Those twats must've had another unionized break again! I miss the days when unions didn't exist. Ok, what do you want?"
Donatello clears his throat and speaks in an English accent, "Greetings, my good man. Are you the bloke they call Dr. Marz?"
"Uh…yeah?" Marz answered.
"Jolly good. Allow us to introduce ourselves. I am Sir Turtleson III and this is my assistant, Sir Raphans."
"And we have come a long way to look for you." Raphael said in a disguised voice. "We have a proposition for you."
"Oh. Well, then come on in, make yourselves comfortable." Marz said and the two disguised turtles entered the building.
"Leo to Xenon, Leo to Xenon, the turtles are in the building." Leonardo contacted Xenon through a walkie-talkie. "I repeat, the turtles are in the building."
"Copy that." Xenon replied through his walkie-talkie. "I'm already on it!" He ends the transmission and crawls down an air vent.
"Splinter, have you and April taken out the rest of the guards?"
"We're working on it!" Splinter answered from his walkie-talkie. "We found a lunchroom full of them, but we need Xenon to take out the power and the generator before we make sure they won't become a problem."
"We're hiding from the cameras. Found out what Mr. Marz was working on from two lab cronies. You are not gonna believe what he wants to unleash upon the pest population! In a nutshell, he's ripping off that sci-fi movie about carnivorous locusts!"
"You mean 'Locusts: The 8th Plague'?"
"Like a madman, yes!" Michelangelo answered. "Didn't he know that in the movie, the locusts ate more than just the pests, they went after livestock, and people too?! And if he is a scientist, he should be aware that regular locusts cause famine because of their continuous eating! Can you even think of the detestation meat eating locusts can bring?! Hence the title of the movie!"
"What do you mean, Mike?" Leonardo asked his brother.
"I'm saying that if Dr. Marz completes this project, he'll pretty much destroy the city."
"Then we must stop it pronto! Oh, boy, is the mayor gonna be furious when she sees this."
"Uh, I think we're only doing this because we have another mission to do if you don't mind!"
"Oh, of course. Fall out!" The two turtles slide down the vent.
In Dr. Marz's office, the ram scientist is talking with Donatello and Raphael. "I assure you, gentlemen, the Mega Science Corperation is a good investment to any socialites like yourselves, my inventions are revolutionary, history at the making! I have created potions that, when finally corrected, will be able to make you regenerate lost limbs. So far, I am still trying to work out the side effects of the potion turning you into a reptile hybrid. Machines of advanced caliber. Many of them are still experimental, but soon, they will revolutionize the way we see things! And finally, my prized, and most experimental, top-secret invention. I normally refrain from reveling this to investors, but I think I can actually trust you guys. You see, I am working on a way to make pest problems a thing of the past. Think about it, an invention, that'll put an end to overly expensive exterminators, anoxiating bug spray, crop tainting pesticides, and even the fear of a pest explosion, an invention, that'll benefit the lives of all, homeowners, apartments, farmers, pet owners, everything. An invention that makes the world a better place. I give you," He opens a curtain, reviling a tank filled with the carnivorous locust. "The Locust-ivore!"
"I beg your pardon." Donatello said still in a British accent.
"Meat eating Schistocerca Gregoria, the desert locust, or at least they were. When I reverse engineered them, they became an entirely new species, faster, more efficient, and tireless, as well as hungry, and from what I recently learned, fast to reproduce, there were only 50 each of one gender, but I looked away for only a moment, and thousands of new generations were granted It's amazing what only feeding them steaks would do!" Marz pushes a button, and another steak is briefly shown before the locusts began to eat! "Just think what will happen when they eat the pest population of every pest species to extinction." Donatello and Raphael's jaws drop. "Ah, you're speechless, I see. It's so amazing I amaze myself. Would any of you like a bon-bon?"
"Uh, pardon me, Dr. Marz?"
"Yes?"
"Uh…haven't you even thought of what other stuff these, shall we say, mutant locusts would eat if they were to be released?"
"Hmm…I don't think so."
"Oh, yes, he has a point, doc." Raphael said in a British accent. "These locusts might even go after civilians and other living things other than just pests. Have you even given that thought yet?"
"Well, no, but—But that's why I had said were experimental, gents. I am planning to fine-tune them before releasing them to the public."
"With all due respect, Dr. Marz, it may be too dangerous to release these locusts into the world, regardless of how many fine-tunes you add." Donatello said. "Sometimes you can never edit away any creatures ability to be tempted by something with much more meat than pests. I say that they must be destroyed immediately."
Marz scoffs and laughs. "Are you questioning my genius, sir?"
"He's right, doc." Raphael said in agreement with his brother. "What will happen if the mayor finds out, huh?"
"Oh, I'm sure she'll be fine with it. She'll be glad to have the termites out of her house."
"You don't understand, doc." Donatello said. "Why would you endanger the lives of millions by creating these monsters without authorization?"
"I have nothing further to say to you both. I am going through with this project, end of story."
"Well, fine then." Raphael scoffed. "But don't go blaming us when New York turns into a complete post-apocalyptic wasteland with a mutant locust plague."
Donatello slaps him. "Silence, Sir Raphans! That's now how you speak to a gentleman. Sir, we actually came here to offer you an endless funding for your work."
"Really?!" Marz asked in a surprised tone.
"Oh, quite yes, we so filthy rich we ran out of ways to reduce our money to avoid making the other rich people jealous."
"I don't know what to say. Makes me overlook your nitpicks to my greatest project. And I get why the criticism existed. I bet you saw that sci fi movie about meat eating locusts going around and eating people! Well, it's because those locusts were not properly controlled! To avoid a repeat of that film, and in the assuringly unlikely case they started to target something not considered a pest, I am constructing a kill switch, one push of the button will cause all the locusts to pass away. There is special microprobes in the locusts that kill them as quick as a micro-second. But of course, I assure you, the locusts are designed pacifically to target only pest creatures, the chances of them doing otherwise, I assure you, are very small, and more fine-tuning will see to that. The switch I mention is in the experimentation room, to pardon the pun, work a few bugs out!" He laughs heartily while the two turtle brothers laugh awkwardly. "So, is there a contract for me to sign to make the endless funding happen?"
"Why yes!" Donatello pulls out a very big and long piece of paper. When rolled out, the underside begins to roll out the room. "Just sign on the many dotted lines, and it'll be official. Now, if you'll pardon me and my associate, we'll be at the gentlemen's restroom facilities."
"Of course, by all means." Donatello and Raphael went off. "Endless Funding, here comes Dr. Marz!"
Two rat scientists in a generator room are doing their business. "All systems are currently normal, you take?" One of them asked.
"Nothing out of the ordinary." The other answered. "Can I ask you something, Point?"
"Yes Daxter?"
"Aren't you a little worried about Dr. Marz's little project with those meat-eating locusts? Aren't you worried they might not just target pests? I mean, rats are considered pests, so, aren't you worried the bugs might come after us?"
"Marz ensured us it'll go after the non-sentient rats and/or non-sentient pest animals. He said so himself. If it's not sentient, it's locust chow."
"It's just that I saw this movie conveniently about meat-eating locusts. You know it's on the sci-fi channel? It's called 'Locusts: The 8th Plague'."
"Pfft, he insisted everyone that it was just a scary movie, and he said he made a kill switch in case something were to go wrong. You worry too much Dexter. Next I suppose your gonna say a mutant lizard monster is gonna come in and kick our posteriors."
Xenon sabotages the cameras, the silent alarms, and the turrets in camouflage without the rats noticing.
"And just what is that supposed to mean, bozo?"
"I was only coining a normal phrase."
"Well, then there's nothing to worry about! This isn't a cartoon, it's real life…I think." Xenon leaps down while camouflaged and knocks out Dexter.
"GHOST! AAAAAA—" "Xenon spits paralyzing venom onto Point's mouth, covering it up. "MMMMPPH! MMPH! The rat tries getting goo off, suddenly weakens and falls into unconsciousness.
Xenon grabs the two bodies and stuffs them into a locker. "There!" The mutant gecko turns off the generator and the power goes down. Everything is pitch black.
"The lights!" Dr. Marz screamed in his office. "What the devil? Blasted! Where's the flashlight I keep? AH-HA!" He turns on a flashlight. "There, now I can resume the contract. Though I should probably call the guards to check the generator first." The ram picks up a walkie talkie. "Listen here, you gun-toting fools, I want one of you to check on Point and Dexter and see what is going on, understand me?"
"Sir thing, sir." A voice answered. "Just as soon as we get our flashlights!"
"Good. Dr. Marz out."
Nothing can be seen except the guards' eyes in the lunchroom. "Ok, men, now that we got our flashlights that we'll turn on in a minute, one of you must volunteer to go alone in a dark, spooky laboratory hallway to check on the lab rats. Who volunteers?" No one said anything. "Oh, come on guys, you're guards for crying out loud! Nothing is gonna pop out of nowhere and hurt us!"
"How could the power just turn off like that?" A duck guard asked. "The generator's the most advanced thing we have! What if we're attacked by monsters, or an extreme group of thieves, or worse, Dr. Marz's insane science project on flesh eating locusts got out and they're gonna eat us all!"
"For crud's sake, it's just a power outage. It can happen to anyone—" Splinter and April knock out all the guards. "Good work, April!" The rat congratulated the girl when his eyes are finally seen. "Nobody saw us coming."
"Nobody except me—" A guard said before getting knocked out by April, whose eyes are also seen.
"Splinter, you should really think before you say those words." The girl said.
"Sorry about that, April." Splinter replied.
"I can't see a thing in here."
"Why not just use the flashlights these guys apparently didn't use right away."
"Oh yeah, that could've helped." April grabs a flashlight from one of the guards and turns it on. "Well, we're not out of the woods yet. We need to be ready for what we must do next."
"Hey, it's dark in here!" Donatello complained in a hallway with no light. "That means Xenon did the job! But if only we had some light!"
Raphael brings out a lantern and turns it on. "Checkimondo."
"Aw sweet! Good thinking, bro!"
"Now, I think it's best we stay out of sight and out of trouble so we don't end up losing it up somehow."
"Good idea. The more we stay clear of everything, the better."
Leonardo and Michelangelo sneak into the laboratory with flashlight in hand.
"Ok, let's find any forms of evidence." Leonardo announced to his brother. "Mikey, see if he made any video journals about his latest project, while I take pictures of the bugs! We're gonna check for any incriminating files!" The two turtles scatter!
Michelangelo takes out a camera. "Okay, no flash, no flash!" The turtle tries taking photos, but the darkness can't give it a clear picture. "Oh, drat it!" He contacts his brother on a walkie-talkie. "Leonardo, we've got a problem! I can't take any clear pictures because it's too dark. And if I use flash photography, Dr. Marz will catch us!"
"Urrrgh! Okay, I'll just have to brighten your pictures a bit, Mike. Just hold on." He takes out a tape recorder and slips into the other room ninja style without Dr. Marz noticing and then plays the tape recorder, which plays "Highway to Hell".
"What the heck?" Dr. Marz asked before walking into the room after the turtle disappeared from it.
"Now to shine a little light on the subject." Leonardo takes out a glow rod and drops it on the top of the tank full of locusts. "Ah, that's better!" He takes five photos before Dr. Marz comes back after the turtle turns the glow rod's light off. "Now we got photographic evidence."
"Found the file cabinet, Leonardo, but I'm gonna need the key!" Michelangelo alerted his brother.
"This calls for a diversion!" Leonardo contacts Splinter and April through his walkie talkie. "April and sensei, we need your stealthiness to snag the keys to the file cabinet! What are your coordinates of your location?"
"We finished the guards and are gonna head to the lab." Splinter replied from the walkie talkie. "One of you guys need to draw his attention incognito!"
"What we do best. Mikey, you know what to do!"
"I'm already on it, Leo!" Michelangelo crawls through an air vent into another room where he lands.
"What the?" Dr. Marz asked before seeing the turtle who doesn't move a muscle. "A turtle? In New York? There's something screwy going on here, and I don't like it." He looks at Michelangelo. "Maybe he's harmless."
Michelangelo knocks the ram out cold before calling his adoptive rat father on his walkie talkie. "Alright, guys! Dr. Marz is in the snooze. You are clear to enter."
"Copy that." Splinter replied. "Let's go, April!" He and April enter the lab and look at the mutant locusts. "Whoa! And I thought rhino beetles were huge."
"This is the perfect way to get the MacGuffum we need to cure Xenon." April said.
"No kidding. But where are the keys?"
"They're right here, Splinter!" April has found the keys after picking the locks on the locker with a paper clip.
"Oh, way to go, April!"
April gets the keys. "Now we'd better do this quick! Dr. Marz could wake up any second."
"Then do it!" April unlocks the cabinet and gets out a video journal. "Excellent work, April!"
"Now all we need to do is download it into my video journal. But we haven't got much time." April hooks up Marz's video journal to her video journal, and does a few key commands, then video journal says "Loading...". "Now we wait..." DING! "Yes, we did it!: A Moiwah, moiwah, moiwah sound on the video journal is heard, and a password setting appears. "DRAT!"
"What's the big idea?"
"Marz's video journal is enabled with safety mode. Any files in the journal that are downloaded into another will be deleted automatically unless I enter in the deactivation password."
Splinter picks up a piece of paper. "There's this weird word that says 'Marzisgenius.' I think he meant to say 'Marz is a genius', but—
"That may be the password!" April quickly types in the password.
"Access granted." The voice journal voice sounded.
"We're in!" April hooks in another VJ to Marz's VJ, and file importing is successful. "We got it!"
"Uh, we have a problem!" Splinter suddenly said in alert. "The guards have regained consciousness and are scouting the building."
"Well, we'd better get out of here!" April turns off Marz's VJ and her VJ, places Marz's VJ back into the cabinet, and shuts it gently. "Let's split!" The heroes go into hiding, clearing any following evidence.
"Where am I?" Marz groaned as he regains consciousness.
"Dr. Marz!" A guard exclaims as he comes into the lab. "Are you okay?"
"I think so. I saw a turtle and I got knocked out. How are you guys?"
"Sir, I think we have a problem. We were knocked out by something strange. I think there may be an intruder in the building."
"Oh, no, you don't!" Michelangelo declared as the hiding heroes watch the conversation. He takes out a Men in Black neutralizer and flashes it at the entire group.
Later, Marz wakes up at his desk. "Uhh... What happened last night? I must've fallen asleep on the job. Oh, well, at least we didn't have an intruder in the building last night." He can't find the endless funding contract. "Aw, crap! The overly rich millionaires were a dream too! An oddly realistic dream."
Other guards wake up in the cafeteria with no memory of the following day.
"Mission accomplished!" Leonardo shouted in triumph outside the building.
The next day, Dr. Marz watches the locusts eat another steak. "Eat up my pets. Soon, you will free New York City of the problems of pests."
There was a knock on the door.
"Dr. Marz?" A female voice said. "We have a problem."
"If it's about the missing potion, we have plenty." Marz answered. A female Canada goose walks in. "Dr. Lesley, you look distressed. What's wrong this time? Did one of the tatty guards touch you inappropriately again?"
"Sir, you need to come to the lunchroom. The news reveals one of the projects! We've been linked!"
"What?! Which project?!"
"I believe it is Project: 8th Plague."
"WHAT?! Who the hell had discovered it?"
"Come with me, and I will show you."
A guard in the lunchroom sees Dr. Marz enter. "Dr. Marz! We're in big trouble! Our classified 8th Plague Project has been discovered!"
"BY WHO?!" Dr. Marz shouted.
"Take a look!" The guard points at a TV.
"This is Scorch Scorchington coming to you live at the mega corporation of Mega Sci Corp." A news reporter announced. "According to reports from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Mega Sci Corp has been planning an unauthorized project meant for the extinction of non-sentient pests."
"THE TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES?!" Marz yelled.
"Leonardo, can you tell us about this so called 'Project: 8th Plague'?"
"Well, we discovered material evidence that Dr. Marz has been doing a secret project meant for wiping out non-sentient pests." Leonardo answered. "We have photos of the project's mutant locusts that we managed to take last night."
All five photos appear on the screen.
Marz's eyes engorge themselves as he screams, "WHAT THE BLAZES?!
"And we also have video proof as well."
The video plays. "Work Log: Dr. Melvin Marz."
"If you are watching this, you must never reveal it to anyone what-so-ever." VJ Marz said. "So far, Project: 8th Plague is going splendidly. As you can see behind me, I have genetically engineered a strain of mutant locusts. Soon, pests will be a thing of the past. This project will ensure that no pests will ever spread diseases, cause famine or cause complications to farmlands again. These locusts will devour only non-sentient fleas, ticks, rats, mice, ants, termites, fruit flies, flies, spiders, and other pests. But I can assure you, they will devour nothing else. Project: 8th Plague will be initiated in 48 hours. This is the work log of Dr. Melvin Marz. Thank you." The video ends and Marz's eyes explode and cartoonishly blow out like a balloon.
"So, you're telling me, Dr. Marz has been doing a somewhat dangerous experiment without authorization from the mayor of New York City?" Scorch asked Leonardo.
"Yep." The turtle replied.
The New York City mayor watches this on TV and gets mad.
"Well, there you have it, folks. Once again, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have stopped mayhem once more."
Marz's eyes twitch.
"Uh, sir, please find your happy place!" The guard pleaded. "You know what happens when you get mad."
"I cannot believe this!" The ram screamed. "I WAS INTRUDED!"
"Sir, to prevent us to be morally looked down upon, I advise we turn ourselves in and accept whatever penalty is intended to be granted!" Lesley suggested.
"That may be fine for you, Lesley, but I have other plans! I am going to the escape pod!" Marx runs off. "Have fun rotting in a government prison, Lesley!"
"No sir, please! Running will make it worse for you!"
"I will already be at an uncharted island when it does!" Marz grabs a tank with a locust in it. "And I am taking the breeding female with me, to start a new strain, and no one will prevent me from-" He opens the door, and Splinter is blocking the doorway.
"What's up?" The mutant rat asks.
"Great lamb!" Marz pulls out a fancy ray gun. "Out of my way, rodent! I am armed and am not afraid to use this!" Splinter takes it and breaks it apart! "Meep."
"Dr. Marz, the mayor of this city will see you now."
"Uh…tell her—Tell her I ran away."
"I HEARD THAT, MARZ!" The mayor's angry voice shouted.
"Crap!"
The mayor walks in and grabs Marz by the neck. "Dr. Marz! Who the hell do you think you are making this project without my authorization?!"
"I-I can explain!"
"You can explain nothing!" The mayor drops the ram. "Outside, now!" The ram obeys. "You've disgraced me, Marz! I'm shutting you down!"
"But you can't do this! My company can build the future!"
"I'm sorry, Dr. Marz, but my word is final! You were gonna destroy the lives of millions by introducing dangerous and destructive mutant locusts, just to put pests into extinction! You have any idea, HOW MANY HUMANE GROUPS, WILDLIFE GROUPS, AND THE EPA WOULD HOUND ME IF THIS WERE ALOT TO GET LOOSE!?"
"Please, I did it for you!"
"You did this for yourself Marz! You're fired!"
Lesley and the others looked on. Point and Dexter appear.
"Oh boy, looks like we'll all have to find new jobs." Point said.
"Well, Marz is kinda loopy anyway." Dexter replied.
"Here's the thing, this is our fault too, kinda." Lesley said. "We tried to warn Marz and talk him out of it, but we participated anyway. Let's at least make up for it by turning ourselves in."
"Well, maybe if the mayor didn't have such a bad—" Point started to say but was cut off his goose co-worker.
"Look, she is mad, but not always unreasonable."
"Oh, ok, I hope you know what you're doing." Dexter said.
And chapter five has come to its conclusion! Looks like our heroes have acquired the final ingredient they need to turn Xenon back to normal. Unfortunately for Dr. Marz, his business has been shut down now that his unauthorized project is publicly broadcast. And for good reason, because if it was completed, he would've put a bunch of innocent lives in danger. Please review, thanks!
