chapter twenty five
Arthur and Athena returned to Hogsmeade House by floo powder, and when they came out of the fireplace, they found Minerva waiting for them.
When Athena saw her mother, she smiled and ran to her and hugged her.
Minerva said, "How was your day, my kitty ? Did you have fun in the Burrow today?"
Athena said, "I had a lot of fun, Mama, and I got to know all my brothers and sister as well."
Minerva looked at Arthur and said, "Thank you, Arthur."
Arthur said, "Don't thank me, Minerva. Athena was among her family." He smiled at Minerva and continued, "I must now return to the Burrow." Arthur went to Athena and hugged her, kissed her on the cheeks, and said, "Good night, my little one, and See you soon."
"Good night, Papa," Athena said, smiling at Arthur. " See you soon."
Arthur returned to the burrow using floo powder.
Minerva said as she hugged her daughter, "I missed you so much today, my little kitty ."
Athena put her hands on her mother's cheeks, then kissed her cheeks and said, "Me too, Mama, I missed you very, very much."
Athena was carrying the dragon doll and book that Charles had given her, and a box of cookies and cakes that Molly had given her, and George and Ron had filled her pockets with some candy as well.
After a while, Minerva said, "How do you want us to return to Hogwarts? Should we walk or use floo powder?"
Before Minerva could finish her words, Athena yawned, and Minerva laughed and said, "I think we should use flo powder. There are small kitten that we should put to bed because they are sleepy."
Athena said while rubbing her eyes from sleepiness, "But I want to tell you about today's events in the Burrow and about my siblings, Mama."
Minerva took her daughter's hand and said, "you can Tell me tomorrow, my kitty. Tomorrow is a day off, but now we must prepare you for bed."
Athena said, "Okay, but I want to sleep next to you today, Mama."
Minerva said, "As you wish, my dear kitty."
and then Minerva and her daughter returned to Hogwarts .
Arthur returned to the burrow and sat with Molly and his children for a while, talking, and a large part of their conversation was about Athena.
After that, his children returned to their homes and their small families, and Arthur and Molly continued talking for a while until it was time to go to bed.
In Arthur and Molly's bedroom in the burrow, while Arthur was sitting on the bed with a book in his hand, reading from it a little before going to sleep, and Molly was preparing to get into bed.
Molly said as she slept next to Arthur, "But have you noticed that Ginny is nervous and avoiding dealing with Athena, my dear Arthur?"
Arthur said as he closed the book and placed it next to the bed and took off his glasses, "Yes, Mollywobbles, I noticed that, but I don't want to pressure her any further. We will leave her enough time to adapt. It is enough that she agreed to come today, and I also have a feeling that Jenny will soon accept Athena and the two will become very close."
Molly said, "I agree with you, my dear Arthur. I hope they both will agree soon."
After that, the couple went to sleep hugging each other after the events of that busy day.
At Harry and Ginny Potter's house
Ginny returned home, her children had gone to sleep, and her husband, Harry, was waiting for her.
Ginny started telling him about the family gathering today and about her parents and brothers, but she did not talk much about Athena, and Harry noticed that, as she avoids talking about her.
In the bedroom of the couple , they were sitting on the bed.
Harry said as he placed his hand on his wife's hand, "How do you feel, my dear Ginny?"
Ginny looked at him in wonder and said, "What do you mean, Harry? I'm fine."
Harry said, "You know what I mean, my dear. Even though today's gathering was for her, you are avoiding talking about her."
Ginny sighed and said, "I don't know how to describe my feelings to you, Harry. The girl is nice and I feel like she is someone I know before and is familiar, but I cannot accept the circumstances of her birth, and I cannot get over the fact that her mother is Minerva McGonagall and that my father betrayed my mother with her mother ." She was silent for a while, and Harry continued to hold her hands tenderly.
Ginny continued, with some tears streaming down her cheeks, "I feel that she should not be part of the family, and that it is not right for her to be among us. She did not suffer as we suffered, and she did not grow up with us, and she did not grieve for Fred like we did. She did not even recognize him." She was silent for a while, then continued, "I don't know, Harry. I feel like I'm jealous of her. How can I be jealous of a little girl? What a fool I am."
Harry hugged Ginny and after a while he said, "I understand your feelings, my dear, but the girl is not to blame for all of this, Ginny."
"I know, Harry," Ginny said, "but I can't accept her."
Harry said, "Have you tried talking to her, Ginny?"
"No," Ginny said.
Harry said, "Why, my dear, we were agreed that you would give the girl a chance."
Ginny sighed. She and Harry had agreed before she went to this gathering that she would try to talk and deal with Athena and give her a chance.
After a while, Ginny said, "I have always wanted a sister since I was little. Of course I loved my brothers very much, there is no doubt about that, but among this number of brothers, I wished there was a girl sister who would understand me and be my close friend." Ginny smiled sadly and She said, "Why now? And why her mother is McGonagall?"
Harry said calmly, "Sometimes things happen without our control, my dear, but we must try to look at the bright side of the matter. After all, Athena is your little sister."
Ginny smiled sadly and said, "She is only four years older than Jamie. She is at the age to be my daughter, not my sister, Harry."
Harry smiled at her and said, "This does not change the fact that she is your sister, Ginny, the sister you wished for when you were young." Then he scratched his chin a little and continued, "Regardless that the wish came true after a little while time, and that your mother and her mother are different."
Ginny sighed. Talking to her husband had reduced the tension and storm of emotions inside her, and she felt a little acceptance and reassurance.
Ginny hugged Harry and placed a kiss on his cheek and said, "Thank you, my dear Harry. Talking to you always makes me feel comfortable."
Harry hugged her and said, "You're welcome, my dear."
The couple slept peacefully, and some of Ginny's thoughts entered her dreams. On this night, she saw a number of mixed dreams, some of which included Athena and other members of her family.
One morning in the middle of the following week
Athena was sitting in one of the comfortable armchairs in her mother's office at Hogwarts. Athena was reviewing some of her lessons before going to school, but she lost focus on her lessons and began eavesdropping on the conversation that was taking place between her mother, the headmistress, and the caretaker of Hogwarts, Argus Filch. .
Filch had knocked on the headmistress's door about an hour ago while Athena was reviewing her lessons and her mother was sitting at her desk doing some Hogwarts works and correspondence.
Filch's face was red with extreme anger because of the new trick that the school students were using on him, especially since after he succeeded in finding one of this trick, he found on a sticker on the method of use that the person should use it on him , Argus Filch, which made him more and more angry.
Filch was sometimes exposed to students' tricks, but this was the first time a specific trick targeted him, and he felt that its purpose was only to harass him.
Of course, the trick was from George and Ron's store (Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes), and this is what made Athena listen and focus on this conversation.
"You have to put an end to this, Madam Headmistress," Filch said. "This trick is only designed to upset me, one of me in particular. It's not enough what I suffered when these naughty people were students at school. Now they want to make sure that I continue to suffer from their deception and tricks ."
Unintentionally, a laugh escaped from Athena as she imagined her brothers as students playing tricks and pranks on Filch.
Filch and Minerva looked at her, and when Athena noticed, she put her hand on her mouth and apologized in a low voice.
Minerva narrowed her eyes and said to Athena, "You must prepare, Athena, to go to school, and you must also finish reviewing your lessons before that."
"Okay, mother," Athena said quickly, putting her face into the book, but she couldn't stop listening to the conversation.
Minerva sighed and said, "Don't worry, Filch. I will try to meet with both Messrs. Weasley today, and I will try to make them stop this trick intended for you, but I hope that I can find them in their place, because as you know, whenever I try to meet them, I do not find them there."
Filch said, "Thank you, Madam headmistress. I'm sure you will solve this matter, but what will you do with the students that I caught them with those tricks ? Will they be punished?" A smile spread across his face as he thought about the types of punishment he might be subjected to. These students.
Minerva said, "I will alert the heads of the houses to warn the students that using this trick is forbidden in school. As for the students you caught, I will deduct ten points from each one of them and warn them that if that matter happens again, they will be subject to detention in addition to a deduction points"
Filch sighed. He was hoping for a more severe punishment than deducting points, such as being suspended in chains or being beaten with a whip, but he knew full well that Headmistress Minerva McGonagall would never, under any circumstances, allow any of the school's students to be subjected to corporal punishment at all.
After the conversation ended, Fletch left the office.
Athena said, "Mama, can I go with you to ( Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes) ?"
I want to visit George and Ron? "
Minerva said, "No, my child, you cannot come with me. You have school and lessons to attend, and I do not go to them on a family visit, but on an official visit in my capacity as headmistress of Hogwarts."
Athena sighed and said, "Okay, mother."
Minerva, who sensed the sadness in her daughter's voice, said, "Do not be sad, my kitty. You will meet all of them on this weekend."
Athena said, "Were my siblings naughty when they were students at Hogwarts, Mama?"
Minerva laughed as she remembered the members of the Weasley clan and said, "Yes, some of them were very naughty, especially the twins Fred and George."
After Athena smiled, Minerva quickly said, "But Athena, when you become a student at Hogwarts, I don't want you to be naughty, my child, okay?"
Athena smiled and said, "I will try, Mama," and Minerva smiled at her as well.
After a while, Minerva said, "Come on, Athena, come. I will take you to your school on my way to Diagon Alley."
Minerva and Athena left the office on their way to Athena's school.
After Minerva dropped her daughter off at her school in Hogsmeade, she went to Diagon Alley to meet George and Ron Weasley.
It was a little early, so Minerva decided to go to the Flourish Blotts store first.
She wanted to ask about the latest book published in the field of transfiguration and ask whether it was available in the store or not, and she also wanted to stop by the little wizards and witches section of the store in order to buy some new books for her daughter, Athena.
She went to the store official and asked him about the book. He told her that it had not arrived yet, so Minerva had reserved the book so that he would save her with a copy as soon as it arrived at the store.
She then went into the depths of the store until she reached the little wizards and witches section and began examining the books there, deciding which ones she would buy.
But she noticed a little girl with thick, fiery red hair next to her, looking at the books on the bottom shelf.
She was very small and seemed to be two or three years old at most.
The little girl was looking at the books with wide blue eyes.
Minerva looked around but did not find an adult next to them. Minerva got down to the child's level and said to her gently, "Hello, little one. Where are your parents? Are you lost?"
The child took her eyes off the books and looked at Minerva, then looks around nervously after realizing that she was alone with a stranger person .
Then Minerva heard the sound of footsteps approaching her and a woman's voice saying, "Here you are, Rosy. Didn't I tell you, my little girl, not to move away from me and to stay close to me?"
The little girl quickly ran to her mother and hid behind her legs, holding her skirt.
Minerva stood and looked at the child's mother, who was one of her favorite and smart students.
"Ah, Professor McGonagall. Hello, It's very nice to meet you, Professor. " Hermione said, smiling at Minerva.
Hermione was carrying a basket full of some books and was dragging a stroller with a baby sleeping inside of it. Minerva guessed he was baby Hugo.
Minerva smiled at her and said, "Hello, Hermione. I am also very happy to meet you, my dear." Then she looked at the hidden child and said, "So this little one is Rose. Hello, Rosy how are you ? ."
Hermione said, "Yes, she is her, Professor. Come on, Rosy, say hello to Professor McGonagall." But Rose did not move from behind her mother's legs, but she began to look at Minerva with curious looks.
"Oh, she's just a little shy, Professor," Hermione said.
Minerva said, " Don't worry, most children are shy."
And both Hermione and Minerva started talking to each other. Hermione was come to the store for the new edition of the Transfiguration book as well, and when she did not find it, she decided to reserve it and go to the little wizards and witches section so that she could buy some books for her daughter, Rose.
Minerva smiled. She loved talking to Hermione and discussing all the areas she loved. It was very easy and fun to talk to her.
"Ron hasn't stopped talking about Athena since he saw her," Hermione said. "I'm so excited to meet her this weekend."
"That makes me happy, Hermione," Minerva said. "I hope the rest of the family has the same opinion as you do."
"I'm sure they'll love it," Hermione said, "I already loved her just from what Ron said and through his words."
Minerva smiled at her, and both Minerva and Hermione remained buying books for their daughters and talking.
At the end of this shopping trip, Minerva was able to get a hug from the little girl, Rosy, who came out from behind Hermione's legs and began choosing books with them.
Minerva said goodbye to Hermione, Rosy, and Hugo after they left the Flourish Blotts store and separated.
They agreed to correspond with each other again.
Minerva then made her way to the Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes store.
Until she meets both George Weasley and Ron Weasley, to reprimand them for the trick and asks them to remove Mr. Filch's name from it.
Minerva arrived at the door of the Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes store, sighed, opened the store door and entered the store.
I am very sorry for the delay in updating the story, I will try to update it always.
The next chapter will be about Minerva's adventure in George and Ron's store and about Athena's visit to the Burrow to get to know the rest of the family.
