Putting a waypoint inside my base I start to dig out a staircase on the surface, finding some more ores like copper, iron and tin. Nice!
When I reach the surface, I block the staircase put another waypoint at the entrance and look around. The sun is setting down. The sky has colored into pink-red shades. A plain field with the river in the distance. Cubic animals minding their buisness, peacefuly chewing the grass.
I head to the river. The harmony of wind shufling the leaves on the rare trees, chirping of the birds and the sound of my steps on the grass made the walk feel like a breeze.
When I approached the river I felt... strange. It is like somebody is staring at me. Fuuuck this is unpleasant. I get goosebumps all over my back.
I try to locate where this gross feeling is comming from and my eyes land on the treeline on the other side of the river. I look over my minimap and see red dot in that tree line. There's also an arrow comming from that dot that shows what way it looks and it's direcred straight to me. Uuuugh, really? Guess problems just love going for my ass.
You know what? Two can play this game so I start staring back where the enemy is, my eyes as wide as possible. It lasted around 2 minutes and the best thing is that I never blinked once because of my body. Just a stare that goes deep into your soul.
However our silly little game was abruptly stopped by a knife flying right into my forehead. The hit took half of my hp, but I'll heal anyway. I let my body fall down like a puppet without its strings.
Laying on dirt I focus on my minimap waiting fpr the person to come closer. I hear its footsteps comming closer and closer to me until they stop right over my head.
I take this as a chance, press [space, my body straightens immediatly and I leap right into the air while equipping my sword and slashing the agressor. I feel it tear through the flesh.
—"Gaah" - I hear a feminine voice shout in pain. Oh well guess that's she after all.
—"Heeey, why are you so agres~sive~?" - I question, almos hissing, as I turn to her and rip dagger out of my head. A faint smile slowly crept its way on my face.Oh, it's not a dagger, it's a kunai.
—"..." - she galres at me in anger, though paling slightly. Well, I can't clearly see her emotions through the mask, but her eyes are more than enough. Suddenly, he starts to fold her arms together in weird ways before raising them to her mouth and... Oh no. I try to jump away but it's too late. A small ghust of fire rushed in my direction.
—"AGRH FUUUCK" - I scream in pain as flames hit my right foot and engulf me completly. River! I sprint to the river at my maximum speed, and extinguish the fire, leaving me at half a heart. But I can't let myself relax as shortly after 2 more kunai fly right after me making me roll right to avoid damage.
I hastily consume an apple refilling my hunger bar and letting me regenerate. I swap my sword with cobblestone and build a wall right before the ninja. I hear a couple of kunai hit the wall, doing no damage. Taking this opportunity I eat another apple and get on top of the wall.
Focusing as much as I can I use my game-esc movement to jump in the direction of my enemy, turn 180 and spam blocks 'till they reach under me. I put blocks in my off-set hand and whip out my sword.
Being over her I try to drop-kick from above but she evades it so I press [LMB] looking straight at her and... I land a critical hit!
—"Gh" - soft grunt escapes from her as she stumbles back. I seize this opportunity rushing forth, swinging my blade furiously.
It hits, and the flesh is torn away. Then I swing again. And again. And again. And again.. And again.. And again... And again... And... Again... And...
I stumble backwards and I see a very unpleasant sight. The whole body is in deep cuts. Blood is pouring out of all the cuts through her body. She sends me final death glare and collapses to the ground.
Anyway, I need to loot the... body... Ok, one of the most outstanding think this ninja wore is the protector. Yep, a metall plate with a symbol of musical note. For real? Well, should've guessed sooner that I'm in the fucking shinobi world. Oh yeah, she also has a bag of kunai n' shit so that's useful, might smelt it into steel.
Now back to main objective — clay! Well, actually y'know, while I'm at it I might stack up on sand and gravel as well! Though I need to be quick as that b...ninja's teammates might be near so I should hurry my ass and GTFO.
Around 5 minuts later I have finished the complete excavation of the surrounding area. What used to be a nice shore near the river has become a shallow ravine flooded whole with water(minecraft liquid physics) but my inventory was stacked completly with the resources mined. I even found some iron ore!
With that done I haatly hopped to the entrance to my base, dug down, reached staircase, closed it off with dirt, started walking down... until my leg slipped and rolled down all the way. Though I didn't even recieve half a heart of damage, my whole body was in searing pain and fatigue from the fight has caught up to me, so I fell asleep right at the beginning of the stairs.
