The Desire Grand Prix logo occupied the screen before the image suddenly glitched and changed to show a man with a book standing in front of a black space that was filled with a set of gears and clock faces.
"Hello, everyone. I know that introductions are not needed but allow me to introduce myself again. I am Woz and I am here to tell you a new tale of Luz Noceda, also known as Kamen Rider Oscura. But first, a bit of a recap to get you all caught up."
Woz opened his tome and in an instant, the dark space was filled with dozens of holographic screens - ones that showed the bleak past and ones that showed the most recent of events.
"Four years have passed since Luz Noceda, the former Dark Empress known as Oscura, as punishment for her crimes, was banished from the Demon Realm forever. It was a last act of mercy from her surrogate mother, Edalyn Clawthorne, in an effort to spare her life. However, she was not alone. Amity Blight exiled herself, her own form of punishment for her hand in Oscura's rise to power. In that time, they have grown close, becoming friends and eventually lovers. One day, they were approached by a mysterious woman known as Tsumuri who invited them to join the Desire Grand Prix as Kamen Riders so they may have the chance to have their greatest wishes granted."
The screens shifted again, now showing Luz and Amity in their respective Kamen Rider forms, fighting against Jyamatos. Along with them were the other Riders of the Desire Grand Prix. The number of Riders would drop as they each disappeared one at a time, indicating their elimination.
"Luz and Amity both accepted to atone for their sins but they are not the only ones who hope to obtain their greatest desires. Through a series of challenges, both Amity and Luz fought against the Jyamatos, competing with other Riders to have their greatest desires fulfilled. During the game, Luz also obtained a special item that would grant her the same powers she had as Oscura in the form of the Oscura Buckle. Unfortunately, her lingering trauma prevented her from using it. Tragically, it took the death of another player, Anne Boonchuy aka Kamen Rider Qrok, to convince her to use this Buckle to become Kamen Rider Oscura once more. In the end, Luz defeated the Final Boss, cleared the final round and had her wish granted which revived everyone who was killed by her and her Phantoms four years ago."
The next set of images showed a scheming Boscha, and a fierce battle between her and Luz, alongside an equally fierce battle between a mind-controlled Sasha and Marcy desperate to get her childhood best friend and lover back.
"Afterwards, Luz returned to the DGP so that she may revive Anne Boonchuy. However, it was not without challenges. She had to contend with Sasha Waybright, Kamen Rider Soaron, who blamed her for Anne's death. In addition, Luz was reunited with old friends as well as enemies from the Demon Realm. Sasha and Luz had since buried the hatchet and Amity also rejoined the DGP. Now, Sasha, Luz, Amity and Marcy Wu, Kamen Rider Newtonne, are working together to bring Anne back to life."
The screens shifted again, now showing the four girls no longer in an intense battle with each other. Instead, they were smiling and laughing together. Competitors still, but they were all fighting for the same goal.
"But Luz has yet to face her past, and her upcoming mission will test her resolve in ways none had done before as she will return to where it all began…"
Some of the screens glitched out here and there, as fuzzy images formed - strange images. Despite this, Woz merely chuckled and smiled as he stared off into the distance.
"An interesting development. Let us see what becomes of it."
Woz, the teller of Rider Tales, chuckled once more before snapping his tome shut, making the screens blink out of existence, and shrouding himself in shadows.
Kamen Rider SideRide Chronicles: Oscura's Encore
Return to the Isles 0: Prologue
Lumina savoured the rich taste of her apple blood, the vintage was much stronger than her usual choice. As she indulged, the witch drew a spell circle, conjuring a screen displaying images of the Clawthorne-Whispers family during celebrations spanning generations, capturing moments from the earliest witchling in their lineage to the present.
Lost in reminiscence, a door of light materialized to her left. Lumina, accustomed to the intrusion, didn't bother looking. She knew only one person would enter her private space without permission.
"Ah, I see you're hitting that good AB already," Amara observed.
"Any particular reason why you decided to invite yourself in?" Lumina inquired.
"What? I need permission to check up on my ex?"
"Either that or you're hoping you can collect on a drunk booty call."
Amara hesitated, cheeks tinged with a blush as her eyes shifted nervously. Lumina rolled her eyes, hitting the mark dead-on.
"Well…I did mean it when I said I wanted to check up on you," Amara admitted, taking a seat on the couch beside Lumina. "I know how much you really hate this day."
"And I can see it's the same for you," Lumina pointed out.
Amara didn't bother denying it. It was the day that held its own set of painful memories for her.
"Mind some company?" Amara offered. Lumina responded by drawing a spell circle, conjuring a second glass on the table. Amara poured herself some of the stronger apple blood.
"Happy You-Know-What," Lumina toasted sarcastically, and they downed their glasses.
"This sure takes me back," Amara remarked, feeling a wave of nostalgia.
"We're not about to reminisce about old times, are we?" Lumina asked.
"Not unless another game starts up soon."
"Ugh…fine. Guess we should."
Amara took another sip, flashing a coyish smile.
"Soooo~ Lumi, do you still–?"
[Laser Raise Riser]
Amara halted when Lumina pointed her Laser Raise Riser at her face with her left hand, still enjoying her drink with her right.
"Your gun says 'shut up,' but after a few drinks, I think you'll be saying something else," Amara suggested with a wink.
"Ugh, how did I end up dating a horndog like you?" Lumina groaned.
"Hey, you don't have any room to talk considering how your dear great aunt gets."
"…Touche."
The two witches from the future continued to talk about their past, with one picture Lumina was looking at catching their attention. It froze on a snapshot featuring Eda Clawthorne-Whispers, the family matriarch, and her wedded partner, Raine Whispers. Between them stood an older-looking King, only reaching their waists, accompanied by a small child exhibiting a blend of both parents' characteristics.
Yet, as their conversation flowed, neither witch noticed the photo glitching. For a brief moment, it revealed additional people before returning to its normal state.
Luz awoke and made her way to the bathroom to start her morning routine. After brushing her teeth, she indulged in a refreshing shower. Stepping out, she casually walked past the sink, only to be met with an unexpected confrontation.
"Looking good, me."
Luz halted, her movements freezing at the sound of the voice. Turning towards the mirror above the sink, she initially saw her own reflection, but the shock set in as she observed distinct differences: her reflection struck a confident pose with hands behind its head, as if gracing the cover of a magazine. Adding to the surreal moment was the smirking expression on her reflection's face, a stark contrast to Luz's own shock.
"Glad we kept up our physique. It would've been a real shame if we went back to having weak nerd arms."
"What the hell?!" Luz exclaimed.
"Believe me, it's a surprise for me too, but a very welcomed surprise nonetheless. Guess you can't escape seeing me now, huh? I'm literally staring right back at you."
"Screw you!" Luz shouted, her fists clenched. "You're just some messed up part of my head, that's all! You're not real!"
"Oh, really?" The reflection crossed her arms and hummed. "You sure about that? I sure feel real."
"You're only as real as I believe you are. And you're not! So, go back to the darkest depths of my head and stay there!" Luz commanded.
"Oh, you don't get to tell me what to do, Luz. Don't forget that, at your lowest, you were calling out to me! I'm part of you, whether you like it or not. Like your guilt and shame, you can't push me away and ignore me. I'm here to stay."
"Do you ever shut up, you..." Luz cocked back her fist, ready to smash the mirror, but her reflection held up her right hand and wagged her finger.
"Nuh-uh-uh. Temper, temper. You don't want to cut up your hand and make Amity worry more than she already does about us, do you?"
Luz kept her fist poised, trembling with suppressed rage. After a long minute, she lowered her fist and released a heavy sigh.
"I'm ignoring you from here on out. Keep talking all you want, but I won't let you influence me like before," Luz declared.
"That's all fine and dandy, but I bet I know one thing you can't forget. Don't you remember what day it is?" Oscura taunted.
Luz paused, her anger subsiding, replaced by guilt and sadness. Yes, she knew exactly what day it was.
How could she ever forget?
The Jyamato fell as it was pierced by a spear made from hardened Abomination slime. As it collapsed, it broke down into fading blue pixels, revealing it to be a hologram.
Kamen Rider Gato withdrew the Abomination slime spear which flowed back into her gauntlet. She then removed her Abomination Buckle, reverting to her civilian form.
Each morning, Amity would wake up to do some training with her Abomination Buckle. Since it gave her a supply of slime to use her magic, she had been training with it as much as she could. After she left the Demon Realm to exile herself in the Human Realm, she learned that there was no slime she could use to practise her signature magic. While she could use mud as a substitute, it pales in comparison to the slimy purple goo that she was so accustomed to.
She needed to get stronger as Luz and Sasha had already overtaken her. Even Marcy had become stronger since she had been given Luz's Command Twin Buckles. Why didn't Luz give them to Amity instead? Was she not her fiancée?
Amity shook her head. She should not feel entitled to anything for being Luz's fiancée. Luz was free to give anyone her Buckles. She was not worried about Luz not having enough power. She now had the Fantasy Buckle and...the Oscura Buckle.
Amity remembered after the Everlasting Oath, that Luz could no longer cast the magic she loved so much and had to resort to using a forbidden ritual just to be able to cast spells again. They may have been dark spells, but for a girl who had lost the ability to cast magic, it was her greatest joy.
Even though the Buckle merely mimicked Empress Oscura's powers, it still filled Amity with dread. The form Luz took when she accepted that power, brought up many of Amity's fears that her fiancée would become corrupted again. She trusted Luz not to fall into the darkness again, but absolute power corrupts absolutely and the Oscura Buckle was power incarnate.
Another matter that troubled her was Empress Oscura's voice whispering in Luz's head. Luz had confided in her about it, and Amity wondered if the voice was a mere manifestation of her fiancée's negative emotions or evidence of the Dark Empress' lingering presence inside of her mind.
Whatever this voice was, Amity would not let Luz deal with it alone. She would be there for her. She owed her that much after the pain she had caused her years ago.
Amity took out her Spider Phone to check the time when she noticed the date, causing her to let out a sigh.
"Reset the simulation," Amity commanded.
[Reset]
Immediately, a new group of Jyamatos materialized out of blue pixels as Amity prepared to face them.
Sasha and Marcy were currently in the latter's room, lying in bed together in their undergarments. Sasha rested her head against her lover's chest and listened to the thumping of Marcy's heart. When she raised her head, Sasha drank in the image of the sweating, panting, blushing Marcy, her best friend and lover.
"S-Sasha…that was…you have no idea how many times I imagined doing this with you," Marcy confessed, out of breath.
"Well, since we're being honest, I may have had a fantasy or three about you and Anne. Believe me, I felt so guilty afterwards, like I was betraying our friendship by using you two as fap material or something," Sasha admitted.
"Sashy…" Marcy raised her right hand and cupped Sasha's cheek. "It's okay. You're not alone. I felt the same way too."
"Heh, guess we've been horny for each other for a long time. I wonder if Anne ever had fantasies about us?"
"We'll ask her when she comes back."
Sasha smiled and then kissed Marcy again. Their kiss lasted for a minute before Sasha ended it and looked down at Marcy.
"Okay, Marbles. It's not fair that only you got off here. I'm going to need you to return the favour," Sasha teased sultrily.
"O-Of course," Marcy gulped. "But…h-how do you want me to do that?"
"Oh, there's so many ways. First, I think we need to get these off. You squirted so much that your panties are soaking wet. But let's face it, we're not going to need 'em for what I have planned next," Sasha promised. The blonde reached for the waistband of Marcy's panties, but Marcy's hands swiftly grabbed Sasha's wrists, stopping her from going further. "Marcy, what's wrong?"
"I…I don't think we should go that far, at least…not here," Marcy remarked.
"What do you mean? You literally just ground your crotch against my thigh and came hard. We're just going to get rid of a little barrier to make it more–"
"It's not that!" Marcy confessed. "L-Look, it's just, if we continue, I'd rather do it with our underwear on."
"Oh, I get it. Marcy, you don't need to be shy around me. I love you the way you are."
Marcy loosened her grip a little, smiling broadly upon hearing how Sasha didn't care about her physical appearance.
"Thank you, but that's not the exact reason. Look…we're essentially on a Reality TV show right now. And as embarrassing as it is to think about, we just had sex with millions of people potentially watching us. I'm not saying I'm okay with them seeing me in my underwear, but I don't want them to see me naked, or you for that matter," Marcy explained.
Sasha blew a raspberry in response.
"Marcy, if they are watching us, fuck 'em. Let them see how much I love you. Until we're out of this game, they're going to keep watching us. I just don't want to have any more regrets or missed chances. Especially with you, babe." Sasha used her right hand to caress Marcy's face lovingly as she stared into her girlfriend's eyes. "This DGP crap could pull some major BS on us today or tomorrow, but no matter what, I want to have these memories with you. And I want to show you how much I love you."
"Sashy…I mean, I get what you're saying-" Just then, the Spider Phone went off. "Sorry." Marcy pushed Sasha away. "I gotta take this."
"Ugh," Sasha groaned a little as Marcy reached over to her nightstand and picked up her Spider Phone to check the messaging app.
"Oh, shoot, I have to go. Like, right now," said Marcy.
"Wait, you mean like now-now?" Sasha asked.
"Sorry, Sashy, I can't really say no to this. Oh, but I really should take a shower first, a real quick one! Ugh, but I'm going to miss breakfast too…"
Sasha sighed heavily and un-straddled herself from Marcy to allow her girlfriend to get off the bed as she scrambled to get inside the bathroom to take a quick shower.
"Ugh, clam jammed by a mysterious message," Sasha commented. She heard the water rushing from the other side of the bathroom. After five minutes, Marcy stepped out, with a towel wrapped around her body and drying her hair. Seeing Marcy in that towel stirred so much hunger within her that she had to restrain herself from jumping her girlfriend's bones, message be damned. She then watched as Marcy quickly dressed herself, putting on fresh new underwear before slipping on her DGP uniform.
"I'm really, really sorry, Sasha. I promise to make it up to you later! We'll do whatever you want, no matter how kinky or dirty it is!" Marcy swore.
Sasha facepalmed, dragging said palm down her face as she groaned louder.
"Saying that is only making it worse 'cause now I'm going to be thinking about that while you're gone!" Sasha complained.
"Ahh! Sorry! Sorry!" Marcy profusely apologised. "Uh, okay, don't think any sexy thoughts until we're done with the next game!"
"Just get going before I pounce on you. I'll save you some breakfast," said Sasha.
"Thank you!" Marcy swiftly moved back to the bed and planted a quick kiss on Sasha's cheek. "You're the best, Sasha, and I promise, we'll have more sexy fun times when the next game is over!"
Sasha watched as Marcy hurriedly rushed out of the room. Her last words still didn't help Sasha's situation at all. Still, she couldn't help but smile. She never thought in a million years she'd come close to doing something like that with Marcy, and she just did. Sasha let herself plop onto the bed, inhaling deeply and taking in Marcy's scent. Still, as much as she loved doing what she did with Marcy, something was missing, or rather someone.
Deep down, Sasha wished Anne was here so she could be part of this thing she and Marcy had. There was a little guilt welling up inside her. The fact that she could make love to Marcy but not Anne was hard. All the missed opportunities and chances to deepen their bond and relationship, all because she was afraid of ruining what she had with Anne. But looking back on it, as Marcy pointed out, their relationship was not healthy. But Sasha always wanted Anne to be part of her life, even before she discovered she was bi. Maybe, deep down, Sasha always had a crush on her two best friends ever since she saved them from those bullies in the playground.
Honestly, in a way, she felt like a selfish bitch. She couldn't decide on either one of them, so she decided she wanted them both.
Sasha wasn't dumb. She knew the kind of hurdles they were going to face when this was over. If Anne decided she wanted to be in a relationship with her and Marcy, it was not something that their parents were going to support, and their social circles definitely would not look upon them favourably. But Sasha couldn't care less about what her parents or other people thought. Her feelings were true: she loved Anne, and she loved Marcy. She would never regret how she felt about them, nor her decision to be with them as a throuple.
The only thing that Sasha regretted was that she never told Anne how she truly felt about her. It took losing her best friend for Sasha to realize how much she had messed up. But once Anne was back, things would be different. They would be better.
"I swear, Anne, when you come back, I'll be someone who deserves you."
Marcy stepped through the door of light which took her to her sponsor's audience room.
"Sorry for keeping you waiting, Oliver! I was…um…dealing with something private when I got your message," Marcy half-lied.
"My apologies, Master Marcy, for calling you at a bad time. It was not on purpose, I assure you," said Oliver. Marcy tilted her head to the side as she found the newt setting up a chessboard of some kind.
"What is this?" Marcy asked curiously as she studied the pieces. They looked like Amphibian-themed chess pieces. "Is this chess?"
"Oh, no, Master Marcy." Oliver wagged his finger. "It's a game from my world called 'flipwart'. I was hoping that we could play a game while we chat."
"Oh, I love games!" Marcy sat down across from Oliver. "How do we play?"
"Alright, allow me to explain the rules..." Marcy listened as Oliver explained the rules with rapt attention. The newt explained how each piece moved and what the win condition was. Being a lover of games, she kept full attention to his explanation. "Do you understand?"
"I think so," Marcy nodded.
"Good, then let us play."
"Alright! Game on!"
Luz and Amity strolled towards the lounge for breakfast, their morning routine disrupted as they unexpectedly encountered Sasha who seemed lost in thought.
"Morning, Sasha," Luz greeted.
"Yeah, morning," Sasha responded. "Have you guys seen Marcy anywhere?"
"No, why?" Amity inquired.
Sasha's face was tinted with a hint of red before she spoke.
"Well, she and I were... chatting when she got a text and left. It's been a while, so I called her phone, but she didn't answer." Worry etched her features. "Do you think she's okay?"
"I wouldn't worry too much. She's probably having a meeting with her sponsor," Luz theorized.
"Her what? Her sponsor?" Sasha asked, her curiosity piqued.
"We've all got sponsors," Luz answered. "Amity and I have sponsors who originally chose us to join the DGP. You probably have one too."
Sasha contemplated this revelation, her mind drifting to her dad. Considering his influence and support for the DGP, he was likely her sponsor. She would need to confirm this with him later, at the earliest opportunity.
"I see," Sasha nodded. "Do you know when she'll get back?"
"I guess it'll be after she finishes her meeting. Don't worry about it, Sasha. Marcy's fine," Luz assured her.
"Master Marcy, you flipped my wart!" Oliver exclaimed, applauding her skill.
"Wow, I won on my first try," Marcy said, genuinely surprised. The game's rules resembled chess with some minor differences, but she managed to grasp them and she had thoroughly enjoyed the match against Oliver. "Are you sure you weren't taking it easy on me?"
"Oh, no, Master Marcy." Oliver shook his head. "I was giving you my best. You must be a natural."
"Please, I can't be that good," Marcy blushed, downplaying her skill.
"I am not exaggerating, Master Marcy," Oliver insisted. "You managed to counter all my moves, taking out my best pieces, which left my wart defenceless. You earned this victory."
"It's funny," Marcy remarked as she studied the board. "I feel like I've played this game before. Weird, huh?"
"Maybe in another life, you were a flipwart champion," Oliver suggested jokingly.
"That would be funny, wouldn't it?" Marcy giggled. "Imagine me having a past life in your world."
"You know, you may even be a match for the king," Oliver remarked.
"Me? A match for a king?" Marcy raised an eyebrow.
"Yes, King Andrias is considered the best flipwart player in all of Amphibia, but you may give him a challenge."
"Maybe, if I get to meet him, we could play a game together," Marcy suggested.
"Yes, and speaking of the king, he was quite impressed by your performance in the last round. Fighting your friend to save her from that wicked witch was commendable. You were, dare I say, heroic," Oliver praised.
"I didn't exactly save her," Marcy protested. "It was Sasha or Sasha's new Buckle. It must've burned away Boscha's potion."
"But you still put up a valiant effort to save your friend, did you not? Despite being heavily outmatched, you were not deterred. I dare say, Master Marcy, that you are a hero."
"Thank you," Marcy blushed under the praise.
"Master Marcy, may I ask, what is your greatest wish?" Oliver caught her off guard.
"I want to bring Anne back to life," Marcy answered without missing a beat.
"Oh, that is certainly true now, but don't you have a childhood dream?" Oliver pressed on.
Marcy thought about her original wish in the Desire Grand Prix. She wanted to be with Anne and Sasha as lovers without discrimination against their relationship. She wanted their families to accept them being together. It was a wish born from missing her best friends for so long after moving away.
But she also had another wish, one she had since childhood.
"Well..." Marcy began. "I've always loved stories about heroes going off on adventures, fighting monsters and villains to save the world."
"And if given the chance, would you have gone on an adventure in another world?" Oliver questioned.
"Yes, and I would want Anne and Sasha with me," Marcy confessed.
[Gather Round!]
"Oh, snap!" Marcy grabbed her Spider Phone after hearing the notification and stood up. "Sorry, Oliver, but I gotta go!"
"I understand. Good luck, Master Marcy."
After breakfast, the players were gathered atop the Desire Temple with Tsumuri. Marcy was the last to arrive as she stood beside Sasha.
"Where were you?" Sasha whispered. "You missed breakfast."
"I'm sorry. I was having a meeting with someone," Marcy apologized.
"Your sponsor?"
"Yes," Marcy answered, surprised. "How did you know?"
"Luz told me about it. Why didn't you tell me you had a sponsor?"
"Sorry, I didn't think it was important."
"You still should've told me something. I was getting worried about you."
"I'm sorry, Sasha."
The blonde sighed.
"No, don't be. It's just me being paranoid. After that whole thing with Boscha, and how close I came to…to killing you, I just start feeling worried when I don't know where you are," Sasha confessed.
Marcy smiled gently at her friend and took Sasha's hand into her own.
"I'm not going anywhere, Sashy. I won't leave you alone, promise," Marcy reassured her.
"Congratulations," Tsumuri spoke to the assembled players. "After so many challenges, you four managed to make it this far in the competition despite having a Mole among you. However, you need to be vigilant as the Mole has yet to be discovered."
Confessional: Amity Blight/Gato
"I was relieved after Boscha was disqualified. Now, I won't have to worry about her anymore. When I heard what she did to Sasha, I really thought she could have been the Mole. Turns out, I was wrong. It's still one of us, and while it's a good thing since we all want to bring Anne back to life, I'm still wondering who it might be."
Confessional: Luz Noceda/Oscura
"If the Mole is among us, then that's good. If they win, we still get Anne back. I really hope this competition ends soon. I need to get help with my…situation. Oscura's voice is getting harder to ignore, and now I'm starting to see her in my reflection. I feel like I'm losing my mind and it scares me. Thankfully, I'm not dealing with it alone anymore. Amity knows and as long as she's with me, I think I can deal with it."
Confessional: Marcy Wu/Newtonne
"This whole competition has been pretty stressful on all of us. Sasha had such a huge hate boner for Luz because of what happened to Anne. Then Boscha, that bitch, decides to drug Sasha with a potion to control her. I wish it was me that beat her up because I wanted to give her three black eyes!" Marcy punched the air. "Hyah, hyah, hyah! Take that! But I'm glad now that Sasha's alright, and that she and Luz can finally be on better terms. Not only that, Sasha and I talked about our relationship." Marcy blushed but then her smile turned into a frown. "But...if I get voted off, I'll forget all about it. Only winners get to keep their memories. I hope Sasha wins. I have nothing against Amity and Luz, but Sasha or I need to remember so we can see where things go and with Anne back by our side, I'm hoping it will be a wonderful relationship."
Confessional: Sasha Waybright/Soaron
"I came back to this competition to do two things: get Anne back and to get back at Luz. But I made the mistake of listening to Boscha. I let her get in my head and she got me to believe that Luz was some evil mastermind waiting to get the wish so she can do God knows what. I admit it: I was a sucker. And when I finally confronted Boscha about all the lies, she flipped out and put me under mind control. Then she made me fight Marcy and I nearly killed her!" Sasha buried her face in her hands to let out a sigh before looking up. "I'm just glad that Marcy's alright and she forgave me. And with Boscha gone, there shouldn't be any more trouble. Now, we just have the Mole to worry about. I mean, if it turns out to be one of us, it just means that we still get Anne back. But I still want my chance to fight Luz. We still need to settle things between us and I did make a promise in the beginning that we would fight. Marcy's still not happy about it, but she says she supports me anyway...I really don't deserve someone like her."
"For this mission, you must protect children and prevent the Jyamatos from kidnapping them," Tsumuri instructed them.
"So, save the kids, win the round," Sasha summarized. That sounded simple enough.
"And immunity," Tsumuri added. "The player with the highest score will receive immunity from elimination."
"Are there any bonus points for saving the kids?" Marcy asked.
"Yes, just like before, you will earn points for every child you save as well as for every Jyamato to defeat," Tsumuri confirmed.
"Hey, Sasha," Luz smirked at the blonde. "Bet I get more points than you."
"In your dreams, Luz," Sasha smirked back at the Latina. "That immunity is all mine."
"Now, Mission Start!" Tsumuri declared. "Good luck, Kamen Riders!"
Elsewhere, a gathering was taking place. Surrounding a statue of Scyn Oscura were people in dark robes which had Oscura's magic circle stitched onto the fabric behind them. Their identities were a mystery as they wore masks that resembled Oscura's helmet, sans her signature horns.
As they encircled the statue, they chanted, leaving gifts and offerings at the foot of the statue. Once all the offerings had been left, the leader of the group stood at the foot of the statue to address the rest. Their mask stood out as it was crowned by the horns of Empress Oscura.
"Brother and sisters, we gather here today in remembrance of our Mistress, the great Empress Oscura. It was four years ago today when she was so cruelly cut down by the people of the Boiling Isles. These people were afraid of the changes she brought to our realm, deeming her a threat to their way of life. But not us. We are the enlightened ones! We are the ones who were blessed by Empress Oscura! We are the ones who knew she was the one who would bring us to a higher plane of existence! If her final act had not been thwarted, we would have ascended along with her! With OSCURA!"
"OS-CU-RA! OS-CU-RA! OS-CU-RA!"
The leader of the cult brought their hands down to silence their flock.
"But I have heard a prophecy from our oracles! Empress Oscura shall return to us and when she does, we shall show her the depths of our devotion and how much we shall sacrifice in her name! Glory to the true ruler of the Boiling Isles! Glory to our goddess! ALL HAIL EMPRESS OSCURA!"
"OS-CU-RA! OS-CU-RA! OS-CU-RA!"
