3rd Person (P.O.V)
Jacob had been running in wolf form for the past hour. He had a lot going through his mind. All he could think about was what could he offer his imprint. In his mind he and Cassie were from two different worlds literally not their species but more financially.
He had been fortunate that none of his brothers were patrolling. Sometimes it was difficult to have them in his mind as nothing was ever kept secret from the pack it could be extremely hard to keep certain things to themselves as long as they didn't think about it.
Jacob still wasn't happy at having to share his mate with his mortal enemy. He felt like someone on the other side was getting a kick out of screwing him over again. He didn't wanna lose Cassie, so agreed to put his dislike for Edward Cullen aside.
It was a few hours later, Jacob found himself in his barn working on his car that usually helped take his mind off of things.
Cassie's drove her motorcycle up to a small red house. She turned off the ignition and hopped off of her bike, removing her helmet, her hair was currently radiating magical sparks which made her hair even wilder than usual.
She walked up the ramp that led to the door before knocking on the door, and waiting as she could hear movements from inside. Billy Black open his house door to see a very angry redheaded girl.
"Hello, may I help you?". Billy asked confused as he had never seen the girl before.
"Hello, Mr. Black my name is Cassie Potter-Black I'm looking for Jacob". Cassie said gaining control of her anger, not wanting to scare her future father-in-law.
Billy's eyes widen as he hadn't thought he would be meeting his son's imprint anytime soon and now he was wondering what his son had done to make his imprint so angry. "What did Jake do?". Billy asked worriedly hoping his son hadn't done anything stupid.
"It wasn't anything bad Mr. Black, although it's something that I completely disagree with, and would like to talk to him about". Cassie said preferring to keep it private.
"I understand, unfortunately Jacob isn't home at the moment I know he stopped by but left a few hours ago. Maybe you should try checking out the barn as that's where he spends most of his time if he isn't at home or with his friends". Billy said as he pointed to a barn in the distance a motorcycle leaning against it.
"I'm sorry if I'm being rude Mr. Black I hope to see you again, but it's important I speak to Jacob". Cassie said hoping she didn't give her mate father a bad impression.
"Don't worry about it I completely understand my son can be a bit of a handful sometimes. You can stop by anytime and there's no need for calling me, Mr. Black just call me Billy". Billy said offering his son imprint a smile.
"It was nice meeting you Billy". Cassie said smiling before she waved goodbye.
"You too Cassie". Billy said watching her head towards the barn. He had a thoughtful expression on his face as there was something different about Cassie but he couldn't put his finger on it as she didn't feel like the other imprints.
Cassie walked towards the barn door that was opened to see Jacob was fixing something inside the car, so chose not to say anything as she didn't want him to hurt himself. It took a few minutes for him to finish as he removed his head from inside the hood, and moved to put the tool back when she finally spoke.
"So Jacob Black are you really going to doubt our relationship just because I come from a wealthy family?". Cassie asked out loud cause Jacob to yelp knocking over the small tray that held his tools.
"Cassie what are you doing here?". Jacob asked his eyes widen as he saw his imprint looked angry her arms crossed over her chest, her hair bigger than it had been that afternoon. With his vision he could see some type of sparks, jumping off of her hair.
"I came by to knock some sense into you. Do I look like the type of person to care about materialistic items just because I come from a wealthy family doesn't mean anything". Cassie said glaring at her mate.
"Who told you that?". Jacob asked his eyes widening.
"My sister is a seer Jacob". Cassie said rolling her eyes. "If you must know, I grew up in hamdy down after my parents died. I didn't know about any of my wealth until I was 18 years old. I knew they left me a small inheritance when I turned 11, returning to my real world but I was completely ignorant of the fortune I was left with". Cassie said her eyes glowing as she stood in front of Jacob.
"Cassie I'm sorry". Jacob said swallowing thickly for some reason he felt intimidated by his imprint.
"If you want this to work you have to get used to the idea of being with someone who is wealthy but don't think for a minute that I'm materialistic because if that was the case I wouldn't be standing here. If it helps you feel any better I could easily introduce you to my account manager who could help you with investing whatever money you have. They are goblins and are fierce warriors who run the wizarding bank in my world they know how to make you money". Cassie said as she had gotten the idea during the beginning of her rant, as she never wanted to be the type of person that was seen as materialistic.
Jacob's mind was whirling with the information. It was something he would have to think about he dropped out of high school, being a protector of the reservation his life was tied to his home, and there wasn't much when it came to work in the area.
"I'm...". Jacob tried to respond but didn't know what to say.
"Hey for ranting I just wanted to make it clear that I don't care what you have, all I care about is you loving me for who I am and never turning your back on me as I've had people do in my past". Cassie said as she stroke his cheek.
"I would never do that Cassie" Jacob said as he grabbed her wrist and pulled her to him, wrapping his arm around her waist. "I'm head over heels for you from the moment I looked into your beautiful eyes, your forever stuck with me". Jacob said smiling before leaning his head down his lips meeting hers.
Cassie felt Jacob warm lips on hers as her magic begun to sing as she wrapped her arm around his neck, pulling him closer to her body. Her magic itching under her skin as she felt her stomach tighten and a warm sensation between her legs.
She couldn't help wonder what it would feel like to have Edward lips upon her.
Had Edward Cullen been human he would've already had a migraine after the family meeting. His family has been disappointed in him and Alice, but Carlisle has been more disappointed in himself for always relying on his children abilities, they were now in a huge mess because of Edward insistence of being with Bella.
Edward knew his family were now agitated what was going to happen. Finding his mate everything was now more complicated as Aro and his brothers had enforced he had to change Bella or kill her. He wasn't going to lose Cassie, but he knew he would have to ask for her help in order for a way for Bella to be silent as he wanted to leave killing her as a last resort.
He knew Bella wasn't going to let this go but for now the best idea he could thinking of was to bring up her obsession with Jacob Black. Edward was glad to that for some reason he hadn't been able to give his mother's engagement ring to Bella, he ended up buying one.
He was lucky as Bella looked to be the only one home. He didn't need Chief Swan breathing down his neck as he knew her father had never supported their relationship after what happened the first time after the baseball game.
During his drive all Edward could think about how toxic his relationship with Bella was. He was so clouded by his bloodlust and the idea of her being his mate that he ignored everything. Before he could get out of his car, he heard a loud pop next to him which caused him to growl as he held his ears.
When his ears stopped ringing he looked at the cause of loud popping to see a creature with bat like ears and tennis ball size green eyes.
"Who are you?". Edward asked cautiously at the creature that sat in his passenger seat.
"I be Dobby a Potter-Black house elf. I'll be following instructions of Miss Moon to bring Missy Cassie mate bloodpop. She be worried you wouldn't be able to control ye self". Dobby said as he held up a small arrangement of blood pops.
"What type of bloodpop are they?". Edward asked cautiously as he couldn't get a smell on them as they were individually wrapped.
"They pictures on them. Some of the blood pops be dragon from a Chinese fireball, some be from a acromantula for now". Dobby said handing over the bloodpops to a shellshocked Edward, who had no idea what was a acromantula.
"What's a acromantula?". Edward asked curiously as his perfect vision could see the small drawings on top of the bloodpop rapper.
"They be huge man eating spiders". Dobby whispered his eyes even more wide. "Miss Moon said it would be best to eat one before visiting Miss blood bag". Dobby said as Edward looked at him with widen eyes.
"Miss blood bag?". Edward asked incredulously.
"Yes muggle I'll be calling her Miss blood bag. Miss moon also said to give ye warning the bloodpops will change ye eyes color". Dobby said before popping away not letting Edward respond.
Edward sighed after seeing the little house elf creature disappeared before his eyes. He looked back at the blood pops that were still in his hand before picking a random one. He shoved the rest into his jacket pocket, he unwrapped the one that had a picture of a dragon and his nose was hit with a unique scent.
His mouth watered with venom as he closed his eyes and brought it to his lips. He was relieved to be alone as the moan that left his throat with something he didn't want anyone to hear ever. He wouldn't be able to live the embarrassment down when it came to his brothers, especially Emmett.
With just the single blood pop thirst for blood was quenched. Even on his diet feeding on animals he never felt satisfied. This was a whole new level, he felt even more better than when he had fed on humans in his past during his years of rebellion, years that he was ashamed of.
Edward jumped when he heard a knock on his window. He looked to see Bella standing in front of him wrapped in his old jacket she had taken. He sighed knowing he had to get it over with, even though he hadn't wanted to do it in public.
He opened the car door and got out. "What's wrong Edward your car has been sitting in front of the house for the past 10 minutes?". Bella asked raising a brow as she noticed he hadn't closed the car door.
"We need to talk Isabella". Edward said causing Bella to stand up straight as he had never called her by her first name.
"Don't call me that Edward you know how much I dislike it". Bella said stiffly as she had a sinking feeling.
"So i've been thinking some things over after what happened this afternoon and realize how toxic our relationship has been from the beginning. I made a mistake, pursuing a relationship with you when I knew perfectly well deep down inside we aren't mates". Edward said as he saw her eyes widen.
"Edward what are you talking about of course we are mates". Bella said her eyes going a bit wild not liking being cornered.
"Isabella if we were truly mates, I wouldn't have to hold myself back all the time just because your human I wouldn't struggle every day to be around you. You wouldn't be doubting our relationship to go after another boy, You know exactly who I'm talking about". Edward said finally understanding what his blindness had done.
"Stop calling me Isabella". Bella yelled angrily. "Edward your getting cold feet. I understand our wedding is only in a few months. I won't talk to Jacob anymore if that's what you want". Bella said frantically at seeing her future slowly disappear.
"Isabella I'm sorry for doing this, but it's for the best. I've spent the day thinking comparing my relationship with you to that of my family. It's not even a fraction of what Carlisle has with Esme or any of my siblings. Every time I near you I have to hold back from ripping you apart". Edward said his mind no longer clouded as he began to wonder what he had seen in Bella.
"Aro said you have to turn me you said in order for that to happen I had to marry you". Bella whispered as she looked into Edward eyes no longer seen the love she used to see in them.
"You will be safe Isabella you should have never been introduced to my world. That is a mistake I would have to live with". Edward said remorse in his tone.
"Who is she?". Bella whispered the only reason Edward would call engagement if she wasn't his mate.
"What are you talking about?". Edward asked trying to fake ignorance.
"Who is the girl claiming to be your mate?". Bella yelled angrily.
"I haven't found my mate yet. Goodbye Isabella". Edward said as he turned around to get back into his car, only for the door to be held open.
"If you break up with me, I will expose your family secret to the whole town, the whole world if I have to". Bella said causing Edward to stiffen. He knew he would have to get in contact with Cassie to get her help.
Edward didn't respond as he got her to release her grip from holding his car door. He quickly got in and started ignition, ignoring Bella hitting the window after he closed it. He could see the wildness in her eyes as her hit started getting more frantic. He quickly pulled out off the curb as she tried holding the driver side door by the handle, but quickly let go as he took up more speed.
Bella Swan cried angrily her hands pulled into surface as she watched her future slip away. For a second time her mind fractured even more than the last time it did, when Edward slipped through her fingers, her anger and resentment growing as she felt if she couldn't have Edward and the immortal life, she thought she deserved no one would.
Bella thought went back to how the day had played out. Her relationship with Edward had been fine before that morning and his mate had to be one of the two new girls, but the red head had claimed to be Jacob's girlfriend.
Her brown eyes widen as Jacob wasn't allowed to be with any girl that wasn't an imprint, leaving the blonde as Edward's possible mate not once did it cross her mind the Edward and Jacob were mated to the same girl.
