Chapter 7: First Day

"Izuku wake up, Layer 7 just dropped!"

"Mr. Gabriel its 3 in the morning!"

Sorry this chapter came out late, got sick and that really clouded up my focus for a few days. But I'm better now and I plan on catching back up, I'm gonna try and release another chapter either on or after Christmas. I'm honestly surprised how many people are invested in this story. I honestly didn't expect such a response from such a niche idea, so thanks you all I appreciate it and I appreciate you.

Let me know what you think of the chapter.

"Class 1-A–class 1-A…gah! This place is like a maze." Izuku lamented while throwing his hands up in frustration.

The rest of the teen's middle school life came and went like a blur between now and when he got his acceptance letter. In truth he couldn't even really remember the last few days within the confines of his now old school. Izuku sort of just tuned out everything and everyone around him at the time.

His focus primarily fell onto Gabriel's new training regimen and his upcoming entrance into the heroics course. The former of two turned out to be far more intensive even by the Archangel's standards. The machines were one thing, testing Izuku's resources to their maximum with the barest margin for error. But Gabriel was on a completely different level, forcing the fifteen year old to use everything with no room for mistakes. And more often than not Izuku would find himself flat on his back anyway.

Though the toughness of his new training did not deter Izuku in the slightest. In fact with each failure, he became more motivated to improve. Ensuring that a mistake was never repeated twice.

Except for parrying, Izuku was still working on that one.

"Couldn't they have given us a map or something." Izuku muttered underneath his breath as traversed the halls aimlessly.

"It might be a test of some sort." A familiar deep voice sounded behind the green haired teen. "If we cannot find our classroom, how can we hope to become heroes?"

"Gah! Tokoyami, don't sneak up on me like that." The angel jumped slightly before turning to face the shadow user.

"Apologies, I didn't wish to interrupt you like the entrance exam." Tokoyami bowed his head apologetically.

"Ah you're fine, just surprised me is all." Izuku chuckled bashfully. "So, you got in too huh?"

"That I did, I placed in the top ten, far better than what I expected." The broody teen confirmed with a proud nod.

"Oh ya, I think I saw you got tenth place, congratulations." Izuku complimented kindly.

"It should be I who commends you, Midoriya. You far exceed everyone else by a large margin." Tokoyami dismissed the praise in favor of giving his own.

"It wasn't that much." The greenette blushed before quickly changing the subject. "So, what class did you end up in?"

"Class 1-A." The other boy answered.

"Oh, cool, so did I." Izuku beamed, feeling his mood dramatically improve at the news. "You uh, wouldn't happen to know where our class is would you?" He chuckled bashfully while rubbing the back of his head.

"Indeed, I too have spent a good while searching. Thankfully, Dark Shadow was quickly able to point me in the right direction." Tokoyami replied.

Together the two traveled down the hallway, passing a variety of classrooms along the way. Izuku could see that some of the rooms were already filled with students, idling mingling until the school day started. Eventually the pair came upon a room with a sign overhead that read 'Class 1-A'.

'Well, things are off to a pretty good start.' Izuku thought while pulling open the sliding door. 'I wonder who else is in here?'

"Get your feet off the desk this instant! This is a hero school, show the proper etiquette you hooligan!" Another familiar loud voice yelled incredulously.

Upon opening the large door, Izuku and Tokoyami came face to face with a rather confusing, but somewhat amusing sight. The glasses boy that the angel saved was currently doing some kind of knife hand, chopping motion while shouting. Though Izuku figured after that this was probably pretty normal based off his last encounter with the other teen.

However, what was most amusing was the actions of the glasses wearer were directed at none other than Bakugo himself. The blonde had his legs propped up on his desk while he leaned back in his seat. An annoyed scowl stretched across the explosive quirk user's lips, clearly agitated by the other teen's actions.

"I'm going to become the number one hero; I can do whatever I damn well please." Bakugo grunted with a fiery look. "What's an extra like you to tell me what to do?"

"Excuse me, I am Tenya Iida from Somei Private Academy!" Tenya answered while adjusting his glasses. "You can't simply call people extra simply because you don't know them!"

"Yeah, whatever four eyes." The explosive user taunted.

"This…'friend' of yours, is he always like that?" Tokoyami leaned over to whisper to Izuku.

"This is him being nice right now." The angel deadpanned while stepping past the two arguing teens. Making sure to stay out of their way to avoid Katsuki from seeing him.

Tokoyami followed after the taller boy, casting an amused side glance at the argument. Izuku took a vacant seat a few down from where Bakugo and Tenya were. He was behind a brown haired girl with very adorable looking cheeks. Tokoyami decided to take his own place next to Izuku, which was coincidently behind yet another familiar face.

"Hey, I remember you!" The pink haired girl exclaimed excitedly. "You're that dude that saved my butt back at the entrance exam!"

"Midoriya, you know her?" Tokoyami curiously asked while turning to face said teen.

"Kind of, I just gave her a little help, it wasn't much." Izuku answered with a small red tint to his freckled cheeks.

"Ha good one dude. This guy came in out of nowhere, knocked two robots on their asses and let me get the points." The girl laughed before enthusiastically telling her story to the shadow user.

"Quite noble of you, Midoriya. I can see why you achieved so many points." Tokoyami praised with an impressed look.

"He also helped Moi as well." A blonde boy cut in from behind Tokoyami. "He lifted me into the air so that I could use my 'sparkling' quirk to take out so many of those nasty villains." The teen finished with a dramatic, happy sigh. "Simply magnifique."

"Yeah…no problem." Izuku sweat dropped at the posh demeanor. "I'm Midoriya by the way, Midoriya Izuku."

"Ashido Mina, nice to meet ya Midori." Mina beamed.

"I am Aoyama Yuga, such a dazzling name I know." Aoyama greeted, somehow looking ten times more fancy.

"Well, it's nice to-"

"Deku!"

"And here it comes." Izuku muttered under his breath.

The greenette should've figured Bakugo was bound to notice him sooner or later. Turning around the young angel came to face the snarling expression of his former childhood friend. The rest of the students watched the interaction with various forms of interest.

"What the hell kind of sick joke is this huh?!" Bakugo ranted, practically foaming at the mouth. "You get accepted into U.A and become the number one of the entrance exam?! What fucking bullshit did you pull?!"

"I don't know what you're talking about, Kacc–Katsuki." Izuku corrected, almost falling back into old habits. "I took the exam the same as everyone else here."

"You think I'm stupid enough to believe some worthless fuck like you managed to do better than me!" The bombastic blonde snarled while slamming his palm onto Izuku's desk. A miniature explosion occurred, but the greenette was not fazed.

"That is no way to talk about a fellow student!" Tenya cut in with more chopping motions.

"Yeah, the hell's your problem dude." Mina added while crossing her arms.

"Shut it Kirby, no one is talking to you!" Bakugo briefly turned to glare at the pinkette before setting his sights on Tenya. "And I'll talk to this useless bastard however I damn please!"

"He is anything but you delinquent!" The glasses wearer verbally combated. "He saved me and numerous other examinees during the exam. We should all aspire to be as heroic as him!" He finished while frantically gesturing toward Izuku.

"If you needed fucking Deku's help then you extras are even more useless than I thought." Bakugo snorted rudely.

"Such reprehensible behavior! I-"

Before the teen could continue the back and forth, he and the rest of the class were pulled to the sound of a sharp gasp. A ponytailed, black haired girl was currently staring wide eyed as the now open classroom door. However, what captivated everyone's attention was the tired face of a middle aged man poking out of a yellow sleeping bag. Said man crawled into the room as though he were a caterpillar. It only took a few seconds for the room to become completely silent as all focus was now on the strange man at the front of the class.

"Eight seconds, that's how long it took for you to quiet down." The man drawled before producing a juice box. He took a long, loud sip before unzipping his sleeping bag and standing up. "You problem children aren't very rational if you can't realize time is precious."

While the rest of the class regarded the man with various expressions, Izuku had one of curiosity. He was certain that he had seen the man in front of him before, but the specifics were alluding the greenette at the moment. Though what he could confirm was that the guy was definitely some kind of underground hero. The lack of a flashy costume, the brooding demeanor, all of it pointed towards a Pro Hero who didn't spend time in the spotlight.

'Which probably means he's going to be strict like Mr. Gabriel.' Izuku concluded with a contemplative hum. The revelation not bothering him in the slightest, he sincerely doubted anyone could beat Gabriel's standards.

"I'm your homeroom teacher Aizawa Shota, nice to meet you." Aizawa deadpanned his greeting. "Now, go change into your P.E uniforms and meet me out on the grounds, you have ten minutes." The Pro Hero commanded before exiting the room without another word.

*U.A Grounds*

It took less than five minutes for the entirety of class 1-A to change and reconvene back onto the school's grounds. Some whispered to one another, wondering what exactly they're depressing looking teacher had in store for them. Others complained about being stuck in the sun on their first day. Izuku was just happy that he managed to avoid his confrontation with Katsuki. Making sure to stand on the complete opposite side of the class in order to avoid the blonde bombshell.

"Guess you kids have a sense of urgency after all." Aizawa noted, almost making it sound like a compliment. "All right, we're going to begin the quirk assessment test."

There was a series of confused muttering that ran throughout the class. The only one to actually speak up was the brown haired girl Izuku remembered.

"Bu–but sir, what about the entrance ceremony? Aren't we missing important information?" She stuttered with a raised hand.

"Such things are a waste of my and your time. If you want to become a hero you'll need to focus on the important stuff." The teacher answered with a lazy wave. "U.A is known for being 'freestyle' with its educational system. That extends to us teachers and what we deem necessary for our class to learn."

"A–ah ok." The girl blushed before lowering her hand.

"Now, I'm sure you brats remember doing physical fitness tests back in middle school right?" The class gave various murmurs of agreement. "This country is stupid by not allowing you to use your quirks but then also using those same results. It's irrational, Bakugo, how far could you throw a softball in middle school?" The man asked the blonde in front of him.

"Almost seventy meters." He answered with a raised brow.

"Not bad, now do it with your quirk." Aizawa said while tossing a baseball at the teen. "Just don't leave the circle." The teacher added when the blonde stepped past him onto the mound.

The quirk user reared his arm back, tiny sparks forming in his hand. With narrowed eyes and a snarl on his lips, Bakugo threw the ball with all his might. Powerful explosions emerged from his hand as the ball left his hand.

"Die!" He shouted as the ball dispersed clouds and disappeared from view. It took a few moments before the object finally fell back down onto the earth. Now sporting a few scorch marks as it rolled to a stop.

"It's important that we know your limits." Aizawa said while pulling a smart phone from his pocket and showing the results. The numbers '705.2' meters could be seen in a clear bold, blue font. "Otherwise, we won't ever uncover what kind of heroes you can become."

"Hell yeah! That was so manly!" A red haired teen cheered.

"Such improper behavior, you can't just yell die!" Tenya scowled, which was easily ignored.

"Aw man this is going to be awesome! Using our quirks for everything, the hero course is going to be so much fun!" Mina whooped with a large smile.

While the rest of the class continued to talk excitedly amongst themselves, Izuku could feel a small frown tug at his lips. Like the entrance exam, the angel had some reservations about the upcoming tests. Those who didn't have a physical enhancing quirk were bound to not do nearly as well. It left a bad taste in Izuku's mouth, like some were being put at a disadvantage for simply not being born with the right quirk. He also wasn't fond of how most of the class seemed excited about their new freedom regarding quirk usage.

Though a quick glance towards Aizawa showed that the older man certainly agreed with Izuku in that regard.

"Fun you say? You think becoming a hero is going to be fun?" The Pro Hero muttered darkly. Immediately the class became silent, overtaken by a wave of worry. "If that's what you think then how about this, the one with the lowest score across all tests will be expelled." He finished with a sadistic smile. "Welcome to U.A's heroics course."

Izuku let out a low hum, somewhat expecting such an ultimatum from his new homeroom teacher. Though the young angel was far from worried, he was confident he could pass all the tests no problem. His worry came in the form of his fellow classmates, some who wore expressions of pure distress. A few others had more determined looks, which Izuku could respect.

"Wh–what?! You can't do that! That's so unfair!" A short purple haired boy cried.

"Villains, natural disasters, human error–I'd say there's a lot that's unfair about this country." Aizawa shot back with a cold stare. "It's the job of heroes to correct all that unfairness. If you think you'd get to spend your time here goofing off, think again. These next three years are going to be the toughest of your life, U.A is going to run you ragged." The Pro Hero told the group of students with a firm voice. "So go beyond Plus Ultra, give it everything you've got."

The phrase seemed to have the desired effect as the anxious looks were replaced by ones of steel. Izuku could see pure determination within everyone's eyes, all ready to push their limits. Rolling his shoulders and cracking his neck, the teen also gained a fiery look in green orbs.

"Demonstration is over, time for the real deal. Line up, we'll start with the standing long jump." Aizawa drawled tiredly.

Test 1: Standing Long Jump

Izuku waited patiently as student after student completed the exercise with varying degrees of success. Some easily cleared the distance, going past the sandbox by a few meters at least. Others didn't make it nearly as far but still cleared a sizable amount of the sandbox with the help of their quirks,

"It appears to be my turn." The shadow user casually commented as he stood next to Izuku.

"Good luck, Tokoyami. I know you'll do great." The angel encouraged with a bright smile.

"Your belief inspires the darkness within me." Tokoyami thanked him in his unique way.

The greenette softly chuckled, quickly getting used to the other teen's way of speaking. Green eyes watched intently as the bird headed boy got into position. With the go ahead he took off in a running sprint, reaching the end of the runway in seconds. At the last moment, Tokoyami used Dark Shadow to propel himself into the air. The dark boy flew through the sky in a horizontal line of pure darkness.

"Good work, Midoriya you're up." Aizawa praised as Tokoyami landed a couple meters past the end of the sandbox.

Wordlessly Izuku stepped onto the runway, waiting for the signal to start. With a nod from his teacher the teen took a deep breath before sprinting forward. He became a green blur as he reached the end in no time. Without any hesitation he leapt forward, his ethereal wings and halo sprouting from thin air. With a single, powerful flap of his wings, Izuku soared forward with great speed.

With ease, the greenette landed well over fifty meters past the end of the sandbox. Of course, he could have easily flown farther, but he didn't want to waste his teacher's time. The point was made and Izuku was fine leaving it at that. With his wings still out, he floated back over to the rest of the class who wore awestruck expressions.

"Wha–ho– he went so far?!" A spiky blonde said with a dropped jaw.

"Dude…those wings are manly as hell." The redhead commented with a toothy grin.

"With a quirk like that he could have kept going, why didn't he?" The ponytail haired girl muttered under breath.

"Deku!"

Most were impressed anyway.

Bakugo stomped towards the greenette, radiating murderous intent as explosions popped off in his hand. With how his teeth were gnashed, Izuku might have mistaken the blonde for some kind of wild animal.

"What the hell is going on, Deku?!" The explosive user shouted as he rapidly approached. "You trying to fuck with me, huh?!"

The angel narrowed his eyes, body tensing as he mentally prepared himself for a fight. Thankfully, he didn't have to as the blonde was suddenly wrapped in thick cloth, his explosions disappearing from his palms. Bakugo attempted to free himself, but no matter how much he struggled his efforts were for naught.

"What the hell?! This cloth…why is it so stiff?!" The blonde struggled.

"It's a capture weapon meant to restrain villains or problem children." Aizawa explained, holding the end of the cloth. A pair of unique looking goggles were revealed to be hanging around his neck. "Ugh, I didn't want to use my quirk today, I already have dry eyes."

'Floating hair, red eyes, Katsuki's quirk disappearing…that's who he is.' Izuku realized as he finally recalled who his teacher was. "You're Eraserhead, the Erasure Hero." The angel noted, somewhat ashamed it took him so long to remember.

"Hmm, perceptive one aren't you." Aizawa raised an impressed eyebrow before sighing and releasing his capture weapon. "We're wasting time, let's move along. Don't pull a stunt like that again." The Pro Hero shot a warning look at Bakugo.

"Tch." Said blonde grit his teeth as he gave one last glare before trudging back to the group of other students.

Test 2: 50 Meter Dash

Everyone was lined up along the track, doing various forms of stretching in preparation. The greenette allowed his leg to fall back onto the ground as he finished his own stretches.

"Alright, everyone ready?" Aizawa said. Waiting until everyone got into a ready position. "Start."

Immediately several students shot far past the rest of the class with a great show of speed. Bakugo used his explosions to propel himself forward, leaving others in his dust. Aoyama flew backward with the help of his navel laser. Tenya surged forward with the help of the engines within his legs. Even Mina seemed to somehow keep up with the boys despite their advantage.

But none were nearly as fast as Izuku.

The teen was practically a lightning bolt, being nothing more than a brief flash of green before disappearing from view all together. By the time the other students had registered that the greenette was gone he had already crossed the finish line. What made the feat even more astounding was that his wings weren't even present.

"2.03 seconds." Aizawa monotonously stated as he showed the results. "Not bad, Midoriya."

"Thank you, sir." Izuku accepted the praise with a smile.

"But you're holding back." The Erasure Hero deadpanned unamusedly. "I thought I said to give it your all."

"Ah, sorry I don't want to seem like I'm showing off or anything." The angel rubbed the back of his head as he looked away.

"It's only showing off if you have the attitude to go along with it." Eraserhead countered easily. "I don't know about you, but I think that's the least of your shortcomings."

"Right." Izuku agreed with a nod.

"Oh, and don't help anyone else." Aizawa commented causally as he turned away. "I know you were thinking about it."

"I–uh…mm." The teen wanted to argue but knew that his teacher was absolutely right.

Test 4: Grip Strength

After completing their sit-ups one by one each student took their turns in showing off their strength. Most got a fairly average score, though others like a multi armed teen managed to acquire a high record. When it came to Izuku's turn he decided to take Eraserhead's advice and not hold back his strength.

Gripping the device in his hand, the angel began to squeeze with increasing pressure. However, he only managed to apply about a fourth of his power before he crushed the machine in his palm. Sparks flew from the now busted device as Izuku opened his fist bits of metal and wire fell onto the ground below.

"Uh, sorry Aizawa-sensei." The greenette sheepishly muttered.

"It's fine, we have plenty more." The Pro Hero waved off. He showed the results on his phone, displaying the numbers '1,000 kg'. "Moving on."

"You are full of surprises, Midoriya." Tokoyami commented as the teen joined the group. "I don't think there's been a test that you haven't come first in."

"Ah, well I don't think that'll remain the case." Izuku replied back. "I've just been lucky that these tests and my quirk go so well together."

"For such a simple quirk you seem to have quite the range of abilities." The shadow user hummed thoughtfully.

"Well, my mentor did train me for ten months before the entrance exam." The angel revealed for the first time.

"And they got you in that shape?" Tokoyami raised a skeptical brow.

"It was demanding." Izuku answered with a serious look. "Very demanding."

"Ah, I–I see." Tokoyami shivered slightly at the intensity within his companion's green eyes. "I'll take your word for it."

Test 8: Ball Throw

The other tests passed in a blur for Izuku. He knew without a doubt that he outperformed everyone in almost all of them. He cleared the distance run even faster than the 50 meter dash. The greenette also managed to kick up a cloud of dust by side stepping so quickly, much to a few of his classmates' annoyance.

The only one he really didn't perform the best in was, unsurprisingly, the seated toe touch. Izuku could admit that flexibility was not his strong suit. Nor had Gabriel put an emphasis on working on the area either. Being nimble was one thing, but flexibility was something the Archangel often ignored in favor of working on other areas. Though Izuku wasn't too bothered by it, he placed somewhere in the middle which was good enough for him.

"Alright we've reached the final test." Aizawa announced as the class gathered back where they started. "Just like the demonstration, you'll stand in the circle and throw the ball. Go nuts and use your quirks in whatever way you can, just remember you can't leave the circle."

One by one each student went, some sending the ball hundreds of meters while others didn't get nearly as far. As each one went, Izuku thought to himself how he would tackle this particular test. He couldn't exactly use his wings, since he'd be technically leaving the circle. The greenette briefly considered just tossing the ball as hard as he could.

That idea was quickly dismissed, both from how easy it was and how little effort it really required. Everyone else was pushing themselves to their absolute limit, while he only had to apply his minimum strength. Izuku felt as though he wasn't trying nearly as hard as everyone else, which made him feel a bit guilty. If everyone else was giving it their all, it was only fair he should too.

'Hmm, I could try parrying it.' Izuku thought to himself. 'But there's no guarantee I'll even hit it…' He mulled over for a moment before shaking his head. 'No, everyone is putting in the effort. That means I have to try too.'

"Midoriya, you're up." Eraserhead called as Tokoyami stepped off the mound.

With a nod the angel stepped into the white circle, catching the baseball thrown at him with ease. Taking a few moments of how he could parry the ball, Izuku clenched his hand before throwing it in the air. He swung his other fist in a horizontal jab, aiming to send the ball flying.

Only to miss it completely.

"Uh…what's he trying to do?" Mina leaned over to whisper at Tokoyami.

"I…am unsure." The shadow user answered, just as confused as she was.

The rest of the class mirrored their sentiments, muttering confusedly about Izuku's strange actions. They watched the greenette try several more times, some beginning to laugh at how often he kept missing. Even Aizawa raised a perplexed brow as he watched the teen's actions.

"Midoriya, I don't know what you're doing but hurry it up." The Erasure Hero grunted as greenette missed the ball once more.

"Sorry sir, just trying to give it my all." Izuku answered back absentmindedly.

Taking a deep breath to steady himself, Izuku held the ball tightly in his hand. He'll admit he was becoming slightly frustrated with each miss. No matter how much he tried to anticipate the ball's movement he was always a millisecond too slow.

'Don't predict, react.' The voice of Gabriel sounded through Izuku's head. A phrase the Archangel repeated every time the teen missed a parry.

Calming himself down, Izuku kept his gaze forward as he tossed the ball into the air once more. As soon as the white color appeared in the edges of his vision, the angel's arms shot forward. A loud, thundering crack could be heard as his fist made contact with the ball. Like a bullet, it was shot with inhuman speeds into the sky. Clouds were split apart as the baseball disappeared with a final twinkle.

"...fair enough." Aizawa muttered with the briefest look of surprise. He turned the phone around to show the infinity symbol.

"Dude, that was so cool!" The redhead cheered as Izuku rejoined the crowd.

"Ah, I guess. I messed up a bunch though. Still trying to get that one down." Izuku sheepishly replied back.

"Midori–you punched a ball into space." Mina deadpanned before gaining an excited look. "That is easily the coolest thing I've ever seen."

"I agree, it was a most impressive display. Regardless of how many attempts it took." Tokoyami chimed in agreement.

"Indeed, my friend, not as eloquent as Moi but still most impressive." Aoyama added with a flourish of his hand.

"Thanks guys, I really appreciate it." The angel blushed from the amount of praise. He gave a kind smile, feeling a nice warmth filling his chest.

"Grr." Off to the side Bakugo growled. Agitation etched in his features as all the attention was given to Izuku. "Fucking Deku." He snarled under his breath, explosions popping off in his palms.

"Here are the results." Aizawa drew the attention of the class towards a large holographic board.

For the greenette it was surreal to see his name in clear bold letters at the top of the board. Even though he knew logically it was the most likely outcome it was still a bit of shock. It was even more jarring to have several of his classmates congratulate him on his performance.

Jarring, but also nice.

"Oh, by the way, no one is getting expelled." Aizawa revealed with a lopsided smile. "That was just a ruse to draw out your full potential.

"What?!" The class collectively screamed.

*?*

"Hi and welcome to–"

*Bang*

The metallic head of the greeting robot was immediately blown to pieces as a single gunshot rang out. Walking past the now headless robot, a blue humanoid machine entered the large facility as though it owned the place. A set of yellow wings were on its back and its lone yellow eye scanned the halls it traveled. On its left breast plate, in barely eligible black writing, were only two symbols.

V1

The machine idly wandered the halls of the facility with no clear motive in mind. Its revolver held lazily in its hand. Occasionally a security bot or two would make itself known, telling the blue intruder to surrender. They were quickly turned into a pile of scrap and drained of whatever spare fuel they had.

This cycle occurred for a few minutes before V1 eventually stopped, becoming intrigued by a set of large double doors. There was a sign cautioning something, but it was swiftly ignored by the machine as it kicked open the doors. If V1 had facial expression it would wear one like that of a kid in a candy store.

In front of it was a large circular device, several rods sticking out of the cylinder. An elaborate series of cables, wires, and other machinery connected to the device. Most of the ones that weren't outright turned off were flashing with a red light. Several bodies of other machines were strewn about on the floor or slumped over onto the terminals.

Stepping into the room, V1 approached the biggest terminal, assuming it would be the one that was the most important. Without remorse it pushed the destroyed body of a Streetcleaner off before carefully clicking on the screen.

If V1 could sigh it would have with how many red dots appeared on the screen, showcasing just how many pieces were needed. Though with a few more button presses, the screen lit up, showing just the locations where it could find them. With its new objective V1 twirled its revolver and exited the room. Fetch quests weren't its favorite thing to do but it was better than doing nothing. Besides…

Mankind is dead.

Hell is full.

And V1 was willing to bid its time if it meant it could get to the other side.

:O A wild V1 appears.

There you go for those asking about V1, it 100% will be part of the story and play a very significant role. As I'm sure you've noticed the canon story for Ultrakill hasn't started yet since V1 isn't at the Mouth of Hell yet. Once it does get into Hell though prepare for things to get absolutely wacky, completely bonkers, maybe even a little silly.

On a side note, I played through layer 7 (it was amazing btw) and absolutely love the new machines that were introduced. When things really ramp up I can't wait to include how much destruction and chaos the Machines as a species can really cause, not just V1. Though that won't come until much later so don't be disappointed if you don't see it within a couple of chapters. I'm really excited for the next chapter since you'll finally get to see Izuku in his armor and in action against his fellow classmates. Until then I hope this chapter was enough to hold you over.

Next Chapter: Mock Battle
