ONE OF THE LAST CHAPTERS GUYS!

LET'S GO!

Note: So…I was going to do something with the traitor thing, three points if you know who I'm talking about, but then I realized that it's not officially revealed in the anime yet, so…yeah. I was going to have this really cool scene of "the League is in a time of desperate need, but you're my friends, so here's a monologue while you hopefully get the hint and attack while they're distracted," but…yeah. On the one hand, it means I'm not killing off Midnight! On the other hand…well, yeah.

PLEASE READ THE END NOTE, I SWEAR IT'S IMPORTANT.

"Huh?!"

"You all have your assignments on this battlefield," Aizawa-sensei-Eraserhead-said, looking over the class as they all gathered together. There were heroes all around them, too, all gathering together for this raid. Class 1B was there, too, as were their upperclassmen-even Oboro was there, standing with 2A-he'd waved at 1A upon arriving, but otherwise, he was doing something else.

"This-why weren't we told about this sooner?!" Aoyama exclaimed, face pale. "This is sudden!"

"To prevent any leaks, information about this raid has been limited to a select few people," Eraserhead said, glancing at Izuku. "The only person that knows exactly what's happening everywhere on this field is Nezu. The rest of us are being given who's where and what we're supposed to be doing, as well as who we should be fighting and general weaknesses of who we might encounter. We have a team of analysts looking through cameras and on our communicators that will be hopping from person to person to let you know weaknesses and what actions you should take-listen to them, but most of you will be kept from the battle field as much as possible. Wide-range quirks will be used to help wipe out enemies, then you will be taken from the battle field and off to the side in order to fight off anyone that gets past the heroes, as well as evacuating citizens once you're given the signal. That will be your job, and you will be obeying any order given. Do you understand?"

"Yes sir!" everyone said.

Eraserhead glanced at Izuku and gave him a small nod. "As for you, you know your assignment already."

"Wait, you won't be with us?" Shoto asked, concerned.

Izuku looked at him and shook his head.

"Flere is going to be on the front lines at a different location than most of you-he'll be over with me," Eraserhead said. "Again, we're limiting knowledge of the whole battlefield, so unless it pertains to you, you won't know."

"But you're on the front lines?" Iida asked. "We're still students-first years! That's not wise, even if you-"

Izuku looked at him. "There are sixteen of me, with eighteen quirks between us. By getting inside, I can turn on Occupy and end a fight quickly. Add on my copy quirk with the number of healing quirks I know and all the possibilities that come with that, it's a smart decision to place me in the thick of everything."

"I…I suppose you have a point-just…be careful," Iida said. "Even one reckless move-"

"My recklessness is standing over there-trust me, we'll be careful," Izuku promised. "You guys be careful, too-I brought Oboro back from the dead, but he was already halfway back, and I don't want to have to try the same with you guys."

"Heh, as if we'll die," Kacchan snorted. "We'll see you at the dorms later-unless you get your *ss into the hospital, then you'll never hear the end of it."

Izuku gave him a grin. "You'll never hear the end of it from me if you end up there."

"Bet," Kacchan said.

Shoto pulled Izuku into a quick hug. "We'll see you later, ok?"

"Of course!" Izuku said.

"Alright, you have your assigned groups already-get to them," Eraserhead said. "Flere, with me. And students? Don't die-I don't want to deal with the paperwork or your parents."

"Yes sir!" everyone said, then split up as Izuku joined Eraserhead over to their group-

"Don't go dying on me either-any of you," Eraserhead said.

"Right, sensei," Izuku said as the two reached Present Mic.

"You two ready?" Present Mic asked.

"I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready…ready as I'll ever be," Izuku sang softly, adding a little bit of quirk into his voice to add a confidence boost in it. (two points if you get the reference)

..

"We're on the front?" Kaminari squeaked out.

"Just for a few minutes," Midnight assured him. "We just want to use your quirks to knock out as much of the enemy as possible, then you'll fall back with the rest of your classmates."

"Understood," Tokoyami said.

"More experience is good for this," Honenuki said, cracking his knuckles slightly. "The more villains we take out, the less for you pros to do."

"Exactly-but once you're done, we'll be surrounding the area and all the villains, nullifying their chances of escape," Midnight said. "But it'll be easier once you take out as many as you can."

"Right!" the students said.

Midnight turned to the fifth student, giving him a smile. "And you are going to be around to take down villains with me-stay close, ok?"

"Of course!" Oboro said, adjusting his bo-staff in his hands-being back in his costume was…honestly the best feeling after all this time. It was brand new and made by Hatsune, who had…gleefully said she'd added some upgrades to it, and honestly, Oboro would figure those out later.

"Now, let's get down to business," Midnight said as they all stepped forward, heading into the fray. (two points if you get that reference).

Izuku took a few deep breaths as he looked at the hospital they were about to raid. Izuku and the Sides would be immediately going downstairs, while the heroes went to arrest Dr. Garaki-stop him quickly and hope the Nomu would stay inactive-which isn't likely, we might be fighting Nomu solo for a while while more go upstairs, we don't have backup-calm down, Darlina, we can do this, it's going to be alright-we have Disconnect, remember? We can destroy Nomu immediately with that, completely unravel them like we did at the USJ-it's logical to send us downstairs, and we will have backup once the doctor is secure.

A hand fell on Izuku's shoulder, and he looked up.

"Are you ready, Flere?" Eraserhead asked. "If you're not up for this…"

"I can do this-but…you'll join me right when you can, right?" Izuku asked. "And keep your ear piece on in case I need you?"

"Of course," Eraserhead said immediately, grip on Izuku's shoulder tightening. "I'm not sure why Nezu's sending you down there alone initially."

"We don't know when the Reapers are planning on showing up," Izuku said. "The less people that can think of them as our enemies, the better." He took a deep breath. "I've…I've got this. I'm not alone, either-there are sixteen of us-and Nexu had me talk to Ectoplasm the other day so I can copy his quirk if I need to-I don't know what point quirk exhaustion will kick in, if it does at all, so I won't start with copying it, but I'll bring it out the moment I feel like I need to."

"Good," Eraserhead said, looking like he was going to say something-

"Alright, everyone, it's time to go!" Present Mic said.

Izuku squared his shoulders, turned, took another deep breath, and started to walk as his Sides left, beginning to spread out.

We can get evacuation protocols ready.

Someone start heading downstairs to report on the situation.

On it!

Dr. Garaki is over this way! Doesn't know what's about to hit him. Dumb*ass.

I almost feel sorry for him. Almost.

Nah, he deserves what's coming for him for making the Nomu. Wonder if the Reapers want him.

Eh, he's going to die without his quirk, anyway. Calling it Lifeforce-that's our quirk.

"That way," Izuku said quietly, pointing down the hall. "I'm heading this way-I'll see you soon."

"I'll see you soon-backup will be joining you soon-keep your locator on and send a Side to alert us if you need to," Eraserhead said as Miriko took charge and led the heroes down the hallway.

Izuku watched them for a moment, then copied Mirio's quirk, grateful that his hero suit was already DNA based so he could easily pass through to the other side and down to the labs.

Aizawa wasn't sure about Miriko leading the heroes to Dr. Garaki at first.

It wasn't questioned, of course, since she was now the No. 4 hero, and Nezu had said that she should do it himself. However…

"Oi, Garaki!"

The doctor turned in fear as he saw the heroes rushing to arrest him, and he started to run-

Yeah, no. This was the man that had turned Oboro into a Nomu-and yeah, sure, it meant that he was alive now, that they had been given the choice to bring him back, but the Nomu had done so much damage. They were so horrible that the Reapers gave up on their neutral stance to give the heroes information on this, which was saying something.

Aizawa erased the man's quirk as they reached him, using his capture weapon to immobilize him to start the arrest.

This man was going to pay.

Izuku ran down the corridor.

Right here! You're coming up on the lab.

Let's bust down the wall-scare the sh*t out of the real one!

I like the way you think!

Izuku turned on Odin's strength quirk, reinforced his feet with Kirishima's hardening quirk, and burst through the wall, eyes immediately locking on Dr. Garaki, who looked horrified.

"Surprise, motherf*cker!" Izuku yelled as he landed, glaring at the doctor as he landed. "Now, Imma go on a limb here and say that you're the real doctor behind the Nomu-so you can either come peacefully, or I might hate to use excessive force, and trust me, neither of us really want that."

The doctor stumbled back in fear, then he shouted out, "Nomu! Come protect me!"

Several small Nomu came to protect the man, but Izuku quickly turned on Disconnect and Attraction, easily destroying the Nomu as he glared at a horrified Dr. Garaki.

"The hard way it is," Izuku said-

-just as Dr. Garaki pushed a button and said, "High-Ends! Destroy the heroes!"

High Ends?

Heroes, plural…that's not something we can allow.

"Why don't you worry about me first?!" Izuku snapped-this is a sort of recklessness that even Oboro wouldn't approve of, but if those are Nomu and rush us, we can take them out easily-

Something suddenly slammed into Izuku's side, causing him to fly backwards, but he managed to steady himself on the wall and stare at-yep, that's a Nomu-there are several Nomu there-

"Understood," one of them said.

…well, sh*t. They can talk.

Kurogiri could talk, too-they probably don't have the same quirk as Kurogiri-

Oh my ghosts, imagine that many Nomu and all of them were duplicates of Oboro's body and quirk.

YOU AREN'T INTRUSIVE THOUGHTS, DUKE, WHAT THE EVERLOVING SH*T?!

Sorry.

Pushing that conversation aside, Izuku turned on Disconnect-

The Nomus started to rush at him-ok, which looked the most dangerous-just destroy one and turn on Kirishima's-nope, abort, use Advanced Copy for Kirishima's quirk, that's going to hurt-!

Izuku turned on Kirishima's quirk and Disconnect, letting the impact be absorbed-it hurt like a b*tch, this thing was heavy, but he couldn't turn on Attraction right now-he had to focus on keeping Hardening going, which meant physically grabbing the strings to break them-that sounded so gross, he didn't want to-Attraction was one thing, but physically touching them like Dave would have-DO WE WANT TO SURVIVE?! IF SO, GRAB THE DAMN STRING!-Izuku reached up to the one that slammed into him-it had a hood over it's head and had a face in those ghosts-and manually snapped the strings, causing the Nomu to disappear entirely as Izuku steadied himself and turned to the remaining ones-they also had faced that Izuku could see, that was disturbing, but at this point in time, he didn't really care as he glared at them. They all looked afraid of him as he fully faced them, his glare turning into a grin as he got ready to fight, Confidence swarming through him.

"You Nomu have a huge weakness you weren't paying enough attention to," Izuku said. "Me."

"Flere!"

Izuku immediately turned, ready to fight, fists raised-

He lowered his fists as he saw Present Mic running over to him.

"Hey-any more backup right now?" Izuku asked.

"Eraser's on his way-got caught up," Present Mic said. "He sent me down here to help you-he'll be down as soon as possible." He looked around. "Where's-"

"Dr. Garaki-the real one-is further ahead-we were just fighting his Nomu-six of what he called High Ends, and a bunch of lesser ones-we got rid of all of them, but since there were so many, we just sent someone ahead to get eyes on-" Izuku paused, eyes wide as he stumbled slightly.

"What's wrong?" Present Mic asked, moving to catch Izuku-

Izuku caught himself and looked at his teacher, fear raging through the Mind Palace, and by Present Mic's reaction, that was clear.

"We have to get there now-All for One's ghost is there," Izuku hissed, then turned and started to run for it.

..

In another universe, there was a villain named Dabi. Dabi was the villain that the League used to check if Hawks was trustworthy or not. Dabi wouldn't push Hawks away, instead letting him closer to the League, where Hawks would get close to a villain named Twice. This would be the time that Hawks cornered Twice in order to keep him from multiplying, having more allies on the field, ultimately having to kill him once Dabi showed up and used his fire. This fire would cause Hawks to go out of commission and, in an act of desperation to assure the villain couldn't escape with Dani there, he would kill Twice. Dabi would go on to hunt down Endeavor and ultimately reveal his true identity, which would be broadcast around Japan, including to his mother sitting in her hospital room, to his siblings that had assumed he had died so many years ago.

But this universe…things happened differently.

In this universe, as this raid happened, Dabi was sitting in a hospital himself. Due to his cooperation with the police with helping find Izuku Midoriya, as well as the lesser amount of crimes he committed since he didn't join the League, he would have to do some time in jail, which was mostly spent in a secure hospital, treating the burns that were caused by his own quirk, given some visitation with his family, but not very much-he would still go home after all of this.

Touya-that was so weird, he could finally…go by his real name-was watching the news, hugging his pillow as he read the headlines. There was an attack on Jaku General Hospital-connected to the League of Villains. The League that he had almost joined. Various reporters were around the city, those dumb*sses reporting on the incident as it happened…in the back of this footage, there were UA students. That was Class 1A helping with evacuation-

There was Shoto, gently talking to young children that were scared. The news feeds couldn't show what he was saying, but…he was ok. He was alive.

Touya watched the news with a small smile, flicking through the news channels, trying to catch a glimpse of his younger brother in the evacuation. There was no sign of Izuku Midoriya in the footage, but did that really matter? That kid helped take down All for One-he was there at the Overhaul incident, too, from what Dabi knew. He won the Sports Festival, too. The kid was probably doing something big, like fighting a League member.

Twice had trusted Hawks-he'd had to trust Hawks. The League was struggling when Hawks came to them, promising that he didn't want to fight, just wanted to help. Twice had been put in charge of that situation. Making sure he was trustworthy. And he was! Whenever he showed up, he brought food with him, never poisoned, no trackers, just wanting to help them. Where did it go wrong? When did Hawks decide this wasn't the world he wanted to see? Was it always this way? Had Twice been that blind? When Hawks had comforted him after Toga got arrested, after Magne died, after Mr. Compress lost his arm-Hawks was the one that brought bandages to them! Shigaraki hadn't been fully trusting of him-

Shigaraki was the one in the right there, apparently. It was…it was sad, honestly. That only one of them had been right about Hawks.

And Twice was only finding out now, with a bunch of sharp feathers surrounding him-even making one clone would only result in the clone dying immediately. There was no chance of getting out of here. Twice…Twice couldn't help his friends.

"I really am sorry about this," Hawks said. "You're too dangerous to let join the fray, especially now that you aren't afraid of your own quirk. The Commission sent me in, and Nezu contacted me to tell me personally to gain your trust and take you out at the right moment. Guess that's right now, huh?" Hawks took a deep breath. "The League…the Meta Liberation Army…the Paranormal Liberation Front, all of them end here." He sighed, giving a small smile. "I'm glad you trusted me, though. You really are a good man, Twice. Maybe after you've paid for your crimes, you can start over, get a fresh start. I can help you, if you want."

Twice wanted to fight back, he really did. This was making him so angry-

"I might be able to help Toga, too."

Twice turned off his quirk immediately, just staring at Hawks. "H-Huh?"

"Society failed the League," Hawks said. "Toga was a starving kid. I can't guarantee anything, especially with everything the both of you have done, but…she's a kid. You both needed help that you never got. Not all heroes are good people-and not all villains are bad. Sometimes we end up on the wrong path." Hawks sighed. "Just…let me get you started on the right one."

Twice should fight back. He really should. If he makes enough clones-if he uses Sad Man's Parade, he should be able to get the feathers back far enough to get out, outmatch Hawks, help the League, help the Front-

"Shigaraki's with his doctor below the Jaku General Hospital," Twice found himself saying instead. "No, he's not. All we were told was about a powerup. No, no, he was going to get weaker. Gigantomachia's purpose is to kill Izuku Midoriya. Gigantomachia can't fight worth anything."

Hawks' eyes grew wide, then softened.

"Thank you for your cooperation," Hawks said, stepping forward with quirk suppressing cuffs. "I'll relay the information and get us both out of here."

Twice didn't make any moves as the feathers retreated. He didn't move when Hawks handcuffed him. He didn't move when Hawks tapped his earpiece and reported the news, including the threat.

"You promise?' Twice asked once Hawks stopped talking into his earpiece. "I'll…I'll get to see Toga? We'll both be safe? My family…all of us will be safe?"

Hawks hesitated, then looked at him and gave a short nod.

"I'll do everything I can to help you," Hawks promised.

.without Dabi and Toga, it's almost too easy to break Twice's resolve….

"Huh?" Fat Gum asked, tapping his earpiece.

"What's wrong?" Tokoyami asked, looking at him as Fat Gum's eyes went wide.

Fat Gum looked at Gigantomachia. "I know I just said he won't move without direct orders, but change of plans-we need to take him down!"

..I have plans for Gigantomachia, so they fail :)...

Izuku and Present Mic ran at Dr. Garaki as Odin exited the Mind Palace and stood facing her brother, both invisible, on top of the cylinder that held…held Tenko.

"Ah, my sister, how long it's been!" Junichiro said, standing up and smirking at her, his ghost form…well, to be blunt, not making him look like a Goddamn potato.

He really did look like her older brother right now. Older, but…that was her brother.

"Junichiro," Odin said coldly as she leveled him with a glare. "What is wrong with you?"

"With me?' Junichiro asked, pretending to be shocked, but it was just that. Pretend. He gestured downwards, at the cylinder they stood on, where Tenko was. "My quirk is getting transferred to him-I was slowly draining the original and leaving myself with copies, all for Tomura to inherit the originals."

Odin tensed up as Izuku rushed at the doctor, Present Mic acting as his back up-

A few more Nomu appeared.

"Present Mic, you keep fighting the doc, I've got the Nomu!" Izuku said, making a quick calculated risk and not turning on Hardening, instead using Disconnect and Attraction, using Oboro's Cloud quirk in order to add some cushioning for the impact as Present Mic rushed at the doctor, who ran from the consol, Present Mic leaving that be-for now, but yelling out that it said 64% complete. (He's been in there less time, about a month and some change, versus the several months previously).

"You can't be serious," Odin hissed at her brother.

"Of course I am," Junichiro said. "And I'm sure you remember a particular quirk-it was one of my very first, one that I'm sure you'll appreciate along with me." He smirked, looking down his nose at Odin. "Revival."

"You want him to revive you," Odin said.

"Well, that will be a bonus, I'm sure," Junichiro said, in a tone that Odin didn't like. "He can't see ghosts-no one but the two of us-or, well, I suppose Izuku Midoriya-are aware that I'm here, and I'm sadly not at the front of Tomura's mind. He will be using that quirk, though-do you think it will break that boy you so desperately cling to if he sees all of you die over again? Not you, of course-no, I won't let Tomura kill you, my little sister." He held out a hand towards her. "Join me. We can get revived and rule over this new world together, go back to living-and isn't that fitting? I was the reason you died, and now I'll be the reason you're alive again. We can find a new sibling dynamic without Yoichi there, but he hated the both of us anyway-I'm sure we'll both be better off-"

"Stop," Odin said as one of the Nomu slammed Izuku into the cylinder, causing it to shake and crack, not that either of the ghosts stumbled. "I hate you, Junichiro."

"You don't mean that, sister," Junichiro said. "Your mind has been poisoned after all these years-"

"It hasn't!" Odin said. "It's been two hundred years, Junichiro, and yes, I've changed during that time. Of course I have! You've changed, too! You're no longer the brother that I used to love-the brother that I looked up to! That I helped carry to Japan after our birth parents died! You're not the same brother that saw me die that day!"

"I'm stronger-I'll never let you die again-" Junichiro started.

"I hate you!" Odin yelled. "I hate you! I hate you! Open your f*cking eyes, Junichiro!" She gestured down. "This child was innocent-did you know that I knew him personally?! This is Tenko-I cared about him! Him and his little sister, Nana's grandchildren-and you're turning him into a monster Junichiro!"

"He was meant to fight the Users-the people that used you," Junichiro said. "And isn't it great that he's still around? I froze him for twenty years, and you can still watch him continue to grow! He's still part of our little family-our family that will continue to grow! Grow with people that we care about!"

Odin's hands clenched into fists. Punching Junichiro right now won't be good. Punching him won't help her anger. She has to stop all of this.

The cylinder continued to crack and shake as Izuku kept getting slammed around, as Present Mic continued to shout-as Eraserhead joined the fray at some point to assist Izuku with the Nomu, leaving Dr. Garaki to Present Mic, the panel thing moving along, now at 66%.

"You're a villain, Junichiro," Odin said. "Nothing else matters to me about you anymore. You're not…you're not my brother anymore." She leveled him with a glare. "I have a new family now, one that I will always love and care about. I won't let you take that from me by manipulating Tenko into this."

The cylinder completely shattered, Tenko lying on the ground in the liquid as Present Mic fully threw the doctor to the ground, taking out quirk suppressant cuffs, Izuku and Eraserhead finally dealing with the last of the Nomu and starting to move towards Tenko.

Junichiro frowned at Odin, then smiled.

"Then I guess I'll just have to destroy that little family of yours first," Junichiro said, and the world suddenly…swirled.

.

Tomura was in a…strange place.

He had pushed down all the memories of his family, but…here they were. Mom was asking if he wanted to be a hero of all things, telling him to stop scratching his eyes. Father was screaming about his study-all he'd wanted was to see a picture of his grandmother, he barely had memories of her, but he just wanted to see if that girl was in those pictures-she hadn't been-Tomura killed his father and continued moving.

All for One appeared-oh, it must be time to get out of here.

Tomura stumbled forward to leave with him, but his family held him back. He brushed them off-

Two more sets of hands replaced the previous ones, and those ones…they made him stop.

"Tenko," Hana pleaded with him, and as he looked back, she looked…different, almost. Healthier, different clothing than he'd ever seen her in, but that was Hana. "Please, please-don't be a villain-come back to us, Tenko!"

"I'm going where I need to, Hana," Tomura said, brushing her away-no, no, he really did need to join his sister-

The second set of hands grew more firm, and Tomura was face-to-face with Ofa, who looked the same age as he'd last seen her, wearing a costume that almost looked like Flere's-Hana was, too-why were they wearing his clothes when they were his family.

"Tenko," Ofa whispered, shaking her head. "All for One…he's a really bad man. I want to save you…I want to help you, but there's no turning back when you walk down the same path as him. He's killed so many-he killed your grandmother-"

"You're not real," Tomura said, pulling his hands away and turning back to Sensei, stepping forward. "This is just part of the process-a test. The two of you aren't around-you haven't been around for so long-Sensei's around, and he's making me stronger." Tomura took Sensei's hand-

"Do you think the raid is going alright?" Mindfreak asked, glancing towards the hospital.

"ITch, watch, they'll all be leaving soon with all the villains rounded up!" Ground Zero said, clenching his fists. "And Deku's the only student there right now-we could be getting so much action, but no, we're stuck on evacuation duty-"

The hospital suddenly blew up, and Dual didn't even hesitate to start running, Ground Zero right behind him.

so, I'm not including a LOT of heroes that were also here, but I have an explanation! A few, including Rock Lock, stayed behind to deal with Dr. Garaki, while others were thrown with Izuku's quirk and immediately started again on evacuation, including Manual, figuring that Izuku is a one-man army, so they're better spreading their resources to places like evacuation (and slowing our dear friends down from getting to Izuku, of course)...

Cloud and Black whip were incredibly useful in this situation.

Izuku activated his quirk immediately, trying to save as many people as possible, using his wings himself as Eraserhead and Present Mic got onto one of his clouds, throwing other people with Black whip, to avoid Decay.

We were…

We were in Tenko's mind…he pushed us away because he didn't think we were real.

We can focus on that later-Disconnect, Disconnect!

Izuku turned on Disconnect-that was a lot of strings, he couldn't see which one was glowing, they were more packed together than All for One's had been at Kamino-he started to pick off the ones on the edge of bundle, but it wasn't enough-why wasn't it enough-

We need to stop panicking!

Tenko's going to kill us and you want me to be calm?! We can't die here-we still have things we need to do! We still have to become heroes!

Izuku stared at Shigaraki as he continued to slowly pick away the strings and quirks-

-and Shigaraki turned and looked directly. At. Him.

.

It. Was. That. Brat.

Something was wrong. Tomura wasn't as strong as he should be-was that brat messing with his quirk again? Well, there was a perfect solution for that.

Carefully, Tomura picked up the doctor's phone-where is the Doctor? Is he dead? Tomura would be happy for him to be dead-oh, but who would keep making Nomu? Someone else could take care of that-Shigaraki didn't particularly like the Doctor. Mr. Compress could take care of it. With him missing an arm, it might do him some good to work on the Nomu instead.

Tomura picked up the phone and called Gigantomachia, who answered immediately, like he was waiting for these orders.

"Bring everyone to the city," Shigaraki said. "Come here fast-I want you to kill Izuku Midoriya, and I'm looking directly at him."

"Get down!"

Tokoyami dove out of the way as Gigantomachia broke through the bindings immediately and roared, moving upward-where was he going?!

"We can't let him escape!"

Gigantomachia reached to grab the League of Villains major players-not Twice, though, Tokoyami noted, Spinner and Mr. Compress, the League was dwindling-not the time to celebrate that fact, something was happening!

.

Izuku pulled and pulled at the strings as Shigaraki looked directly at him-he's going to kill us, we have to run-we can't run, we can't let him start killing others in our place-

Shigaraki raised his hand, and Izuku barely managed to dodge the large beam of light that was shot in his direction.

"Flere!" Eraserhead yelled out, turning his erasing quirk on to look at Shigaraki-

Shigaraki turned on him and started to move-

Duke appeared and slammed into Shigaraki's side, sending him sprawling-

-and out of Eraserhead's line of sight.

Duke disappeared before Shigaraki could use decay on him, but it was very close. Too close for comfort. Way too close for comfort.

"That quirk would have brought your dead allies back to life-it's very clear what my dear Tomura is doing," Junichiro said coldly, moving away from Odin as the two floated in the sky. "Bring your family back to life, just to kill them all over again. And kill Izuku Midoriya when he's grieving."

Of course, Odin immediately relayed this information, but she didn't move any closer to Izuku. Instead, she moved closer to Junichiro.

"Of course, the plan has some faults-I have a feeling you'd be more powerful alive," Junichiro said as Yui exited the Mind Palace, Dasu joining her along with Eimi and Kai as the group spread about to fight Shigaraki. "Perhaps some of your allies as well." Shigaraki moved to do another attack, this time aiming it at Duke-

-it hit.

There was an alarm sound in the Mind Palace as a string-a light green one-snapped.

Duke has been disconnected from the Mind Palace. Duke has been brought back to life. I repeat, Duke has been disconnected from the Mind Palace. Duke has been brought back to life.

MOTHERF*CKER!

Duke fell to the ground-or, at least, he started to, but Izuku quickly made a cloud for Duke to land on instead-that was a big fall, and the ground was still crackling with Decay energy. Add on that Shigaraki was moving fast, and this battle was going to be determined by who wasn't on the ground.

"HOLY SH*T I'M ALIVE!" Duke yelled out-

Shigaraki lunged for him-

The cloud moved.

"-and I should probably stay that way!" Duke yelled, stumbling slightly, wincing as he grabbed out a gun and aimed for Shigaraki, firing away.

"Tomura will kill him soon," Junichiro said as Shigaraki aimed for Dasu, who dodged…barely. He didn't dodge the next one-he created a platform for himself to land on as a red string snapped-

Dasu has been disconnected from the Mind Palace. Dasu has been brought back to life. I repeat, Dasu has been disconnected from the Mind Palace. Dasu has been brought back to life.

Junichiro laughed. "That will eventually hit the both of us as well-you're invisible right now, aren't you? But rest assured-Tomura will bring us both back." Junichiro suddenly dropped, and Odin quickly followed-

He's sticking close to Izuku, Odin realized as Tomura took aim for Izuku, who missed-it was the other side of him, but that was too close to Junichiro for Odin to be happy about it.

We don't have a trapping quirk, and we can't perform an exorcism here! Mom, can you lure him away?!

I can try-it'll bring me away from the battlefield-

There was another blast. Izuku dodged. It did nearly hit Eraserhead and Present Mic-their cloud was hiding behind a large bit of rubble, so it didn't.

"Flere!" Eraserhead yelled.

"I don't think that's going to hurt you-it's a quirk that brings ghosts back to life!" Izuku yelled back.

"Wait-it already hit-" Present Mic yelled.

"Exactly!" Izuku yelled as Shigaraki moved to aim again, his hands glowing with a very different energy this time-

"That's not the same thing!" Duke yelled out.

WELL NO SH*T-wait, he can't hear that.

"Damnit," Izuku muttered as he kept pulling at strings-that was, whatever he was about to set off, was visible-

Izuku pulled at it, enough to cancel it for a second, but then the strings completely disappeared, and Izuku winced-quirk exhaustion kicking in for it…well, that made sense, he destroyed countless Nomu and has been pulling for a few minutes to get rid of Shigaraki's quirks, so it wasn't surprising. Advanced Copy was wearing down, too-he couldn't use that even if he wanted to to get more quirks, not to mention he'd have to have Attraction active at the same time. Cloud was getting difficult, but he had to keep pushing that one-he was still evacuating people, that was taking some attention that he couldn't afford right now-

Shigaraki roared as Izuku retreated slightly, turning on Telepath to send to Eraserhead-

Disconnect is out for the count, and quirk exhaustion is starting to set in for Advanced Copy.

Probably not something that Shigaraki should hear.

Meanwhile, Odin inwardly cursed as she racked her brain for songs that might help here-

Junichiro smirked.

"You have no chance of winning here," Junichiro said as Shigaraki noticed that Izuku was struggling slightly, aiming towards him again, his hands glowing with the ghost quirk as he started to fire-

But, unlike before, he made a sweeping motion, spiraling around him to get everything in his path-

Junichiro dove for it-he's going to revive himself-I can't-I won't let that happen-

I can't dodge that-I won't be fast enough-

EVERYONE ABANDON SHIP!

"SH*T!" Izuky yelled as he turned towards Junichiro's ghost-just above the rage that Shigaraki was aiming for, getting closer and closer as Odin dove for her brother-

ABOVE ALL ELSE, HE CAN'T GET REVIVED!

Yui dove towards Junichiro just as Odin did, all the ghosts in the Mind Palace exiting immediately-if we revive in Izuku's head, there's no telling what will happen-

Odin grabbed onto Junichiro and quickly looked around as the quirk got closer-there was a bit of rubble to hide behind, it wasn't shaping around the rubble, she just had to get him there-

Junichiro struggled, but just in the nick of time, Yui and Odin managed to wrangle him behind a large bit of rubble nearby, Odin yanking him backwards as Yui tackled him behind the rubble-

The light missed Junichiro. The light missed Odin.

The light did not miss Yui, catching her foot, but that was enough.

Twelve strings snapped.

The voice was saying something, but Odin-Izuku-couldn't pay any attention to it as they watched the scene around them, their family no longer connected to them.

Yumio came back to life, rolling on the ground, missing the Decay energy as he held on tightly to Hinata, and he didn't waste a second for their yellow and purple strings to snap before he took off running behind a nearby piece of rubble-neither could fight here, Hinata suited for indoors while Yumio himself wasn't much of a fighter.

Darnell's orange scales stayed orange as he quickly turned into a snake-a smaller target, harder for Shigaraki to focus on-as he slithered behind the same piece of rubble.

Emory and Kamari-light brown and black strings- dove for a different bit of rubble-Odin couldn't tell what they were planning-split up, more targets?

Darlina, gray, fell behind the rubble that Odin was behind, Yui, light blue, standing her ground there, ready to fight, too.

Hirah's wings immediately shot out of her back, as dark red as her string, as she grabbed Dot-dull pink-and Yuki-dark green-starting to fly away with them-still too young to be part of this, they're children again, they need to get away-

Eimi and Kai-magenta and turquoise-didn't even hesitate the moment they were stuck on the ground before coming to focus their water attacks on Shigaraki, barely phased.

"What the hell?!" Junichiro yelled, swiveling to glare at his sister, who only smiled.

Izuku…

It's…I can only hear you-I can't hear anyone else-it's so quiet, it's too quiet-

Calm. Down. We can do this. We just have to…plan out loud. Give me a few minutes to take care of Junichiro-

Darlina-Hana? Which name was appropriate here-suddenly gasped, turned on her feet, and stepped directly into Shigaraki's line of sight.

Did you notice that I was careful about if Shigaraki physically interacted with Hana before this :)….

Kill him, kill him, KILL THEM ALL!

Shigaraki would kill all these people standing here, break Izuku Midoriya's resolve, then Gigantomachia would show up and finish him off-or Shigaraki could do it himself! Hed win this, he'd win this, hero society would fall-

All thoughts vanished from his head the moment that child stepped out from the rubble.

She…Shigaraki had just seen her. She wasn't really there, though, surely, her and Ofa, but…

Hana stood there, clear as day, wearing a gray dress, her hair just…all of her, just like the day she…

Just like the day Tenko killed her.

Immediately, everything stopped. Decay stopped, the air felt…different, Tenko couldn't hear anything.

All he could focus on was Hana.

Deep inside him, something started to snap. Something he'd been aware of once, placed there, but he'd grown so used to it over the years…and now it was starting to break.

"Hana?" Tenko whispered, feeling so…so small in that moment as his sister stared at him.

"Tenko," she whispered, her voice feeling like it echoed in the dead silence. She hesitated for a moment before walking forward.

"Wait-" the girl next to her said, reaching for Hana, who paused and looked at her.

"I'm going to be alright, Yui-trust me," Hana said.

The girl hesitated, then sighed, nodding as she stepped back and let Hana approach Tenko.

Tenko watched as Hana stepped forward, every single step feeling like an eternity as more memories flashed through Tenko's mind.

Hana and him playing in the backyard with Ofa.

Playing alone.

Hana handing him the tissues when his…his allergies acted up.

Hearing their father yelling downstairs, Tenko tucked away in Hana's room as she promised to protect him if she needed to.

"We can be heroes together, Tenko! We'll be the best heroes out there, and Father will never hurt us again!"

Tenko felt tears fall down his face as Hana got closer, and he took a step back.

"S-Stay back-I don't want to hurt you," Tenko said, afraid, taking another step back as Hana took another step forward.

Thankfully, Hana stopped just far enough away that Tenko couldn't reach her.

"Ok," Hana whispered, looking up to meet his eyes. "It's…it's been a while, Tenko…hasn't it?"

Tenko let out a wet laugh as he collapsed to his knees, more tears falling as he gave her a small smile.

"It…it has," Tenko whispered as the thing inside him continued to snap.

.

"No…no, no, no!" Junichiro yelled, struggling out of Odin's grip. "It wasn't supposed to happen like this!"

"You were never going to win," Odin said, standing up straighter as she looked over at Izuku, who landed on the ground, letting Eraserhead and Present Mic's cloud set them down and disappear as he looked back at her.

Should I…

Izuku looked at Shigaraki and Darlina-Hana, then back at Odin and nodded.

Go.

Odin gave him a small smile, then made herself visible and stepped out from behind the rubble, starting to walk over there herself.

"Only one of them left, huh?"

Izuku barely stopped himself from jumping at the sudden voice, instead turning his head to see…

"Kesshuu Aikawa," Izuku whispered, the Reaper in question standing next to him.

"Yep," the Reaper sighed. "We sent you to destroy the Nomu. This was a possibility, but not a likely one." She looked off to the side. Izuku did, too-

All for One was shocked, but starting to make his way over to Shigaraki-

"I should have gotten rid of him much sooner," Kesshuu hissed, holding out her hand-knit

Chains appeared from the ground, and based on the fact that Yui wasn't reacting to that-not really reacting to Kesshuu's appearance, either, so maybe Kesshuu was remaining invisible? Either way, the chains wrapped around All for One, who started screaming. Odin hesitated and glanced back, eyes wide as she stared at the scene.

"No, no, no, no!" All for One screamed, struggling as more chains came to drag him down. "You can't do this to me! He's going to bring me back to life-I can't leave this world yet! Not now, not ever! You can't do this-"

The chains dragged him into the ground, leaving not even a single trace behind.

Kesshuu lowered her hand and looked at Izuku. "I will be having words about this situation, I'll have you know. I won't be interfering further, but we've been meaning to grab him and that Doctor's ghosts. We'll be having a chat soon-Shimura over there already destroyed the lab and research, and you got most of the Nomu…" She sighed, then started to fade. "Just a few Nomu left…they're nearby, and we'd like for this to be done quickly. Any chance of being able to step away to take care of it?"

"Disconnect is pretty much out for the count…" Izuku whispered.

Yui looked at him at that. "I can copy Disconnect if you need me to. I'm ready to keep Darlina and Odin safe-"

"Do you mind stepping away for a moment, actually?" Izuku asked.

"...huh?" Yui asked.

"Kesshuu's here," Izuku said. "There are a few Nomu left, and I can't destroy them with Disconnect."

"I can't step away-you need me-" Yui said.

Izuku could see the moment that Kesshuu appeared to Yui based on her jolting, but she made no noise about it.

"The remaining Nomu are close-there were a few a distance away, but they were killed already," Kesshuu said. "You won't be gone long, but this is the perfect moment to take care of this problem."

Yui looked at Izuku, then at the remaining Sides (former) scattered around.

"We'll be fine-I promise," Izuku whispered.

Yui hesitated, then moved to give Izuku a quick hug.

"Don't die on me when I'm gone-I don't think I can handle it if you die now that I'm…not," Yui said.

"I won't die-you don't get to die, either," Izuku said.

Yui nodded, then looked at Kesshuu. "I can't pass through anything, so keep that in mind as you lead the way."

Kesshuu nodded, then pointed. "Then let's go."

Yui followed Kesshuu off the battlefield, and Izuku felt a hand on his shoulder-

"Status," Eraserhead said.

"Odin's the only one dead," Izuku said. "Yui's heading to kill the remaining Nomu, and Kesshuu said something about having a chat later."

"Gotcha…but bringing your ghosts back to life seems like a dumb idea," Present Mic said.

"He was planning on killing all of them in front of me to see me break-I can't use Disconnect right now, if he…if he decides to kill Darlina right now…Disconnect is down for the count, Advanced Copy is getting there-so is Cloud, I still have a bunch of fighting quirks to fall back on, but with my canceling quirks almost down for the count minus Odin's song quirk if I can think of something-"

"You're not alone here," Eraserhead said gently. "I need you to remember that, ok? The rest of the heroes seem to have run away, but we won't."

"We might have to, though," Yumio said, and the three looked at him.

"Yeah," Izuku said. "You, Emory, and Kamari take the kids and run-the rest of us got this."

"Ok," Yumio said. "Advanced Copy have enough to tell the others to run? I'd rather not shout right now."

"It should," Izuku said, reaching out to everyone to say, Run to the evacuation point. Please don't get hurt. Yumio, Emory, and Kamari are in charge of you until we get the rest of this figured out. His head hurt a little. "That might be the end of Advanced Copy for this fight."

"Don't wear yourself out-is everything settled over there?" Eraserhead asked, nodding at the three.

"I don't know," Izuku said. "Odin's not focusing on keeping me updated right now. Which, fair. One wrong move, and…"

..

Tenko's eyes grew wider as Ofa stopped next to Hana, giving him a small smile, a pair of wings on her back-had'nt she mentioned that once? He didn't think he'd ever see them himself, but…here they are. She was wearing Flere's uniform, but it was her.

"Ofa," Tenko whispered.

She nodded, then carefully leaned forward and pulled him into a hug. "Tenko."

Tenko carefully hugged her back-he wasn't disintegrating things right now, he had finally learned how to turn it off, but…

"I don't want to hurt you," Tenko whispered as he let the older-younger, now-girl hug him.

"I'm glad you're concerned about me, but I'm fine, Tenko-happy, even," Ofa said, staying still for a moment before leaning back and sitting next to Hana. "It's been a few years, huh, Tenko? You've grown so much-I'm sad I didn't get to see you grow, but…I'm glad that I get to see you now."

"I'm happy to see you, too," Tenko said, more tears coming to his eyes as he leaned forward and hugged Ofa again. "I'm sorry…I'm so sorry!"

Ofa hugged him back as Tenko cried, and after a few seconds, Hana joined the hug, too.

This was Tenko. Tenko, who had been through so much in the last thirty odd years. Tenko, who had grown up on the wrong side…who Odin couldn't forgive for all that he'd done. She couldn't…she couldn't redeem him after this. As much as she wanted to…as much as she wanted to help him have a better life…

Well…she had to get him to…she had to subdue him somehow. She…she had to arrest him. But what was…what was the best way to do that? She didn't want him to lash out and hurt Darlina-Hana-she's alive now, she can actually die while Odin's still dead-the only one dead left, the only one that can't be affected if Tenko decides to kill her after all.

So, Odin took a deep breath-she doesn't have Advanced Copy, she can't use Disconnect, she doesn't have quirk erasing cuffs…

…but she does have her own quirk. Wings. Super Strength. Song.

I need a song that would take his quirk out for the count…make it…not work…

So, Odin hugged Tenko a little tighter as he cried, took a deep breath, and quietly started to sing.

"Can you see my wretched tears?

Burning in these eyes now clear

All life's vivid colors are blurring.

Tell me exactly what you're leaving behind.

I call your name as I fall from life.

The blue and red white all are

Blurring with the light and I

Shout within this world that is muted.

Tell me exactly what you are looking for.

I chase your shadow, collapsing more.

Give me the end tears have bore.

Tell me, am I breaking down?

All I am is broken now

Even so I want to keep

On breathing, I'm breathing.

Hey tell me if I just saw you

Like the dreams I have in my solitude.

My words now can't even reach you

Error."

Tenko started crying harder as he hugged Odin tighter. Odin hugged him tighter in turn, tears in her own eyes as her breath stuttered for a moment, but she didn't let that stop her singing from long.

"On a distant day, empty

Tender light had shone warmly,

Flood all the sky with its color.

Tell me exactly what is the choice you made

Tears fill my eyes as I lie in wait.

The consciousness that floats on by

Slowly starts to leave and I

Blur away completely to nothing.

Tell me exactly what you're comparing to.

It's sad, but I can't recall its hue.

When will this life go cold and mute?

Tell me, am I still the same?

Nothing left of me remains.

Even so I want to keep

On breathing, I'm breathing.

Hey tell me am I just dreaming?

Is this time the last we are meeting?

My words are silent yet weeping

Error."

Odin paused for a moment between versus, and in that moment…

Eraserhead has quirk suppressant cuffs on him-you're going to make it so we can get close enough, right?

Yep-I'm going to use this song to short out his quirk…s for a bit-hopefully, he'll come willingly, too. I hope, I…I can't guarantee anything.

Ok…we'll start approaching from out of his sight.

Good. Stay safe.

I will. Same to you-keep Darlina safe, too-the others have left already.

Good.

"Tell me, am I breaking down?

Do you know what's broken now?

Even so the tears I cry

Are hurting, I'm hurting.

Hey tell me did my words reach you?

That last song I sang in my solitude.

The colored words that I gave you

Are gone and are blurring, my eyes are burning.

Tell me, am I breaking down?

All I am is broken now.

Even so I want to keep

On breathing, just breathing.

Hey tell me if I just saw you,

Like the dreams I have in my solitude.

My words now can't even reach you.

Error."

Odin let the last note of the song fade away as Tenko continued to cry, Izuku, Eraserhead, and Present Mic approaching now, out of Tenko's sight.

"Ofa," Tenko sobbed, hugging her tighter.

"I'm here, Tenko," Odin said.

..

That thing in Tenko…the thing that started to snap?

It fully snapped at those words. Maybe it had something to do with that song. Maybe it was just…all of this.

"Ofa…I'm so sorry," Tenko whispered, letting go of her and falling back, looking at the ground as he sat there. "All of this…I shouldn't have done any of this. The League…Sensei…Hana, we wanted to be heroes, but I…I'm going to jail, aren't I?"

Ofa and Hana immediately tensed up at that, and…that was all the answer that Tenko needed.

"I won't resist," Tenko said. "Just…can I see you again? Can you…Hana…Ofa…can you visit me in prison?"

"I…I can't promise anything," Hana whispered after a second. "Tenko, I wish that was a promise that I could make-"

"It's one I can make," Ofa said quietly. Tenko and Hana both looked at her. "You…you might not always know when I'm there, but…I'm still a ghost, Tenko. I'm still…I'm still dead. I can go through any security-I can make that promise-"

"I don't want you to be dead," Tenko said, carefully reaching out and touching her hand. "I…I can bring you back to life-"

"Tenko," Ofa said quietly, shaking her head. "I've…I've been gone for two hundred years now." She looked behind Tenko and gave a short nod. Tenko looked behind him-

Present Mic. Eraserhead. Izuku Midoriya-

Just minutes ago, Tenko had wanted to kill that boy. Just minutes ago, he gave an order to-

"I need-where's that phone?" Tenko suddenly asked, patting around-sh*t, sh*t, sh*t, did he destroy it in the chaos?!

"It's over, Shigaraki-no calling for backup now-" Eraserhead started-

"I gave an order to kill you!" Tenko shouted, looking directly at Izuku Midoriya, and everyone froze. "And the phone's gone-I can't-I can't call him off!"

"...motherf*cker!" Eraserhead cursed, "How long do we have?!"

"I-I don't know-I can't call him!" Tenko said, freaking out a little. "He's-He's very strong-stronger than me, and he's huge-"

There was a roar in the distance.

"And I have no line of communication with him right now-all he does is follow orders," Tenko said.

let's backtrack a little bit-as you've noticed, I have a hard time killing characters that should be dead, and I have trouble keeping my dead characters dead…..

Oboro stared at the large villain that was giving Mt. Lady trouble-holy sh*t, that villain was huge.

And Oboro had been close enough to hear exactly what was said over that radio around his neck.

"Bring everyone to the city," Shigaraki said. "Come here fast-I want you to kill Izuku Midoriya, and I'm looking directly at him."

Like hell Oboro was going to let that villain get even close to Izuku.

The huge villain broke free from Mt. Lady, and Oboro needed to follow him.

"Midnight, we need to follow him!" Oboro yelled out.

"On it!" Midnight said as Oboro switched from Cloud to Warp-the transition between the two quirks wasn't exactly seamless when it was intentional, but he was still able to warp above the villain-

The League of Villains-Spinner and Mr. Compress, at least-were on top of the villain-Mr. Compress turned to look at Oboro and started to throw something-

Oboro used Warp to land next to Midnight, running right along with her.

"Spinner and Mr. Compress are on top of that thing," Oboro said as he ran with her.

"Of course they are-where's this thing going?" Midnight asked.

"That radio around his neck sent a single message to him from Shigaraki," Oboro said. "That monster's been ordered to kill Flere."

"Not the time for a joke-" Midnight started.

"I am not joking," Oboro hissed. "Izuku's in danger-my family for the past several years is in danger-don't you dare accuse me of joking-"

"Right, sorry-think you can head over to Jaku Hospital to warn Flere, Eraserhead, and Mic?" Midnight asked as Oboro created a cloud that she jumped on to use as leverage to leap towards the giant villain.

"I'm helping you stop him here," Oboro said, noticing Mr. Compress start to throw something-marbles, who knows what are in those, not something that Oboro wanted to find out, that's for sure. He threw up some clouds, causing the marbles to collide with the clouds-rubble, apparently.

Midnight was able to jump and throw some sleep gas at the villain, who thankfully stumbled a little bit before manading to grab her and throw her to the side-not so great. Well, damn.

"Midnight!" Oboro yelled, running towards her as Midnight said something over her comms.

"We have to keep following him-Classes 1-A and 1-B are being sent in to help do more-I'm instructing Creati to create an anesthetic and figure out how to intercept him-we're going after him!" Midnight yelled.

"Right!" Oboro said, quickly making a dense cloud. "Hop on!"

Midnight hopped on, and Oboro quickly followed the huge villain…

...all the way to the honestly awesome trap that the first years (almost second years now!) set up.

Midnight and Oboro quickly landed and started to help with the ropes that the students were using to restrain the villain as others were preparing to sedate the villain-

Mr. Compress threw some rubble at the students, only to be blasted away by Aoyama's lasers, and he continued to keep blasting at them, causing the villains to take cover on the giant villain's back as the students continued to do everything they could to attack the villains-

The giant villain blew a huge gust, blasting the students away as he shook his large head, dislodging some of the students holding the ropes-

-however, this only gave Oboro the chance he needed to get him and Midnight close enough to the villain to leap onto his back and rush at the two villains standing there. (There's no fire villain keeping them back :))

Mr. Compress threw more rubble, but Midnight was able to dodge that as she ran at him, Oboro running at Spinner.

Midnight ran at Mr. Compress, dodging more rubble as she used her whip to latch onto him, rendering him temporarily unable to throw more marbles as she grabbed the edge of his collar and slammed her head into his, activating her quirk at the same time in order to knock him out for the count, and she quickly got out her handcuffs, cuffing the man and tossing him to the side as she tapped one of her earpieces-

"Someone come grab this villain and get him out of here!" Midnight said. "The sooner the better-we don't want to risk this guy grabbing his comrade!"

She didn't stay on the comm long enough to see who was deciding to do that as she turned to Oboro to help him-

"You have an extra set of cuffs, Midnight?"

Midnight blinked at her (former) underclassman (now student) as he stood there with one of Spinner's swords in hand, pointing at the lizard's neck as some clouds kept him trapped there.

Quickly Midnight moved and cuffed the lizard villain, too.

"That was quick," Midnight commented.

"Yeah, well, if there's one thing I learned from Duke and Paz, it's how to avoid getting hit by swords as I get in close," Oboro said, hoisting Spinner onto one of his clouds-

-just as Mt. Lady crashed into the villain, sending all three stumbling away and falling off the villain.

Oboro quickly went to summon another cloud, but of course this was the moment that, instead, Warp activated, instead causing the three to stumble to the ground a few meters farther than intended-wait, actually, that's really good, they aren't in the giant's way, they were safe-

-especially when the giant's body started to transform.

"God f*cking damnit, of course it had more of a final form," Oboro hissed as Midnight heaved Spinner off the ground and dragged him further from the absolute beast standing in front of them-he literally threw Mt. Lady back as he went to continue onward, and no matter how hard the first years tried…

…they were simply outmatched.

I can't kill Midnight guys, you probably noticed that already…

Dr. Garaki simply started to laugh, much to Rock Lock's absolute horror, at the loud roar in the distance.

"And now Gigantomachia is marching this way!" Mr. Garaki yelled. "He's a calamity that lives and dies only for the sake of his master! The Nomu were modeled after him. After all, a king needs good, strong soldiers to serve him, and now that Gigantomachia is on the move with the order to kill, Flere has absolutely no chance of survival!"

"Get him as far from here as possible-!" Rock Lock started-

Red chains suddenly sprouted from the ground, locking onto Dr. Garaki and pulling him to kneel on the ground, causing everyone to yelp in shock-

"Excuse me," a voice suddenly said, and everyone turned to see-

"Hey, it's too dangerous to be here-" Miriko started.

A person wearing a dark robe suddenly appeared in front of Dr. Garaki, and Mikiro moved to make sure he stayed secured-

"Wait! She's on our side!"

Everyone stopped and stared at the girl-wait, is she wearing Flere's costume-

"You," the robed person hissed as the chains tightened on Dr. Garaki, "have been an absolute thorn in our side and have broken countless laws of the dead."

Everyone took a step back at the sheer energy coming off the robed person. Everyone except the girl wearing Flere's costume-wait, now that Rock Lock thought about it, she looked…strangely familiar-where had he seen her before…?

"Kesshuu," the girl said.

"I'm aware, Yui Midoriya," the robed figure-wait, did she just say Midoriya-said, glancing in the girl's direction before turning back to Dr. Garaki. "We'll be reading off your list of crimes very shortly-"

"We?" Dr. Garaki asked, suddenly getting much more pale.

"Yes," a new voice said-

-and everything seemed surrounded in darkness for just a moment. A moment that the heroes felt…oddly safe in, like nothing would hurt them here.

"Sh*t!"

The hero students, in any way they could, ran after the villain, many heroes following them, others taking Spinner and Mr. Compress back to the complex in order to hand them off to the police there-many villains there were already defeated, so as many heroes as possible were focused on defeating that damn thing.

Momo created a few jetpacks, handing them to some of the other students, and she was currently in the air, trying to drop whatever possible on this villain just to even make him slow down.

However, nothing they were doing was working. This monster kept his charge-to kill their class president-to kill Izuku.

To kill the boy that had helped tutor all of them.

To kill the boy that had helped take Endeavor down.

To kill the boy that had helped kill All for One in Kamino.

To kill the boy with the biggest smile, as well as the most tears, with so many voices in his head that it was a wonder how he could function, but he still managed sixteen-nineteen at one point-people inside his head, as well as their entire class of twenty students.

Izuku could take down this villain without any problems at full strength. Momo didn't doubt that for a second. He helped All Might kill the villain in Kamino after however long on quirk suppressors, after exhausting his quirk right before then, with his quirk weakened before that after living through one of his Sides-one of his family-dying violently.

But. just because he could didn't mean that Momo would let him. Izuku would never be alone in any fight. Not if their class could help it.

So, even as she felt her fat reserves start to run out, even as she started to feel exhausted herself, Momo kept pushing, kept going, kept fighting, her classmates right alongside her to do the exact same thing.

"Gigantomachia's not going to stop until he reaches me," Izuku said, looking at the destroyed area around him-nothing left to destroy, almost an arena made for the two to fight. "I'm going to stay here and face him-you guys get to safety."

"You'd better not mean us, too," Dasu said, Duke nodding in agreement as he got out an electric bo-staff.

"We're staying, too," Eimi said, Kai agreeing.

"And I'll be damned if you think that I'm letting you fight him alone, Problem Child," Eraserhead said.

"We aren't leaving, little listener," Present Mic added.

"Someone needs to get Shigaraki to the cops-" Izuku argued.

Tenko coughed a little. "I'm the only one that can make Gigantomachia surrender. I'm not going anywhere unless you want him to kill you."

Izuku sighed. "Guys-"

"You're starting to fall into quirk exhaustion, Izuku," Darlina said quietly. "You…you can't die."

"I won't," Izuku promised. "Darlina, you head out to the evacuation point now, ok? Find Yumio, Emory, or Kamari-they'll keep you safe."

"And you'll return safe?" Darlina asked.

Izuku nodded. "I promise-"

"And the only way you're keeping that promise is with our help," Eraserhead said. "We need a plan of action against him-we don't know what heroes are coming to our aid, if any, and you're already falling into quirk exhaustion. I'm personally against leaving Shigaraki here-"

"I'm your best chance at surviving right now," Tenko said. "I won't fight, only call off Gigantomachia, but if I'm not here…well, there's a reason I ordered him to kill you-he's completely capable of doing so, just like the USJ Nomu was capable of taking on All Might at full strength."

"And look how fast I destroyed him-" Izuku started.

"Flere," Eraserhead said.

"-but I see your point," Izuku sighed. "Fine, just…don't die."

"Same goes to you," Present Mic said-

-that roar was way too close.

"I hope everyone got evacuated," Izuku said, turning as they could see Gigantomachia approaching. "Because otherwise, this will not end well."

.

Yui ran through the destruction as Kesshuu directed her to more Near High-End Nomu, one after the other falling, either to the hands of a hero-or student, Yui gave a small smile upon seeing Lemillion using One for All to destroy a huge Nomu, watching Best Jeanist focusing on getting Gigantomachia to slow down, at least-

"That thing is attempting to kill Flere," Kesshuu mused in Yui's ear, distracting her for just a second-

"Oi!"

Yui barely had time to turn before she heard an explosion behind her, and a Nomu fell to the ground, pierced through by an icicle.

"Dual, Ground Zero, Sonic, Mindfreak!" Yui said, immediately relieved to see the four.

"I don't remember your acting hero name-what's Flere's status?" Ground Zero asked.

"Not sure right now," Yui said before turning and pulling at another Nomu, killing it in an instant.

"The f*ck you mean-" Ground Zero started.

"I don't have time to explain!" Yui said, looking at the four, then at the Nomu around them. "I have to keep killing the Nomu-I need you to head to Flere-that monster in the distance has a single order to kill him right now-that's where he's heading!"

Dual swore at that and turned to continue-

"Why aren't you with him right now-we can take care of the Nomu-" Mindfreak started.

Yui turned and destroyed another Nomu-seriously, there weren't supposed to be this many left! "Yeah, well, the Lead Reaper showed up and had a single thing to say-if we kill all the Nomu here-Kesshuu, how many are left?"

"About 20," Kesshuu said.

"There are twenty left in the area!" Yui yelled, copying Present Mic's quirk to shout at a particular Nomu that was rushing for a hero with their back turned before she quickly switched back to Disconnect and Attraction-quirk exhaustion should have kicked in by now, it really should have, but it was like her quirk was reset when she was brought back to life, and when the Lead Reaper appeared…right!

"If we kill all the Nomu, the Lead Reaper will appear and take care of Gigantomachia himself!" Yui said, glancing at the four that looked surprised. "But I'm not sure how long my quirk will last like this-Flere reached quirk exhaustion with Disconnect a while ago, as well as Advanced Copy, so we're working on fumes here, but we'll get the rest taken care of-you guys take out any that you see, but otherwise, head to Flere and be backup in case he needs it! And don't die!"

"Right!" Dual said, taking off running towards where Flere was-

"Don't think we're going to step away from this-Icyhot is going to be enough there," Ground Zero said. "Twenty, you said? And I think I remember Deku saying Kesshuu was one of the Reapers, so she knows exactly what's going on."

"Yep," Yui said.

"Good-directions to the last ones," Ground Zero said.

"The next closest is to the left, 50 meters, behind some rubble," Kesshuu said.

Yui repeated.

"Then let's go kick some *ss," Ground Zero said.

..

There were fifteen Nomu left-this fight was almost over.

Gigantomachia broke free from Best Jeanist's bindings.

Fourteen Nomu left-the Lead Reaper couldn't attack until those fourteen were gone. Technically, he shouldn't at all. The Reapers were not supposed to interact with the world of the living, only doing so in instances where the living interacted with the dead.

Thirteen Nomu left. That boy, Shoto Yukito, reached Flere and his group just in time to throw up a thick wall of ice, one that Gigantomachia broke through in an instant, but that second was enough for a formation to be made.

The Reapers, at first, barely noted anything about Izuku Midoriya. Quirks such as his were rare and did interact with the dead, which was their area, but it did so based on consent of both parties, which made things more…easy to ignore.

Twelve Nomu left. Tenko Shimura attempted to yell for Gigantomachia to stop, but the giant villain had kicked up quite the dust storm, one that Tenko was coughing through-and, through that, Tenko Shimura was thrown back, Gigantomachia even more unable to hear him, let alone give the command to stop.

The exorcism wasn't quite supposed to work as it had. The Reapers typically paid those no mind. Well, it was rare that they even actually happened on a ghost rather than some wind. Reapers sometimes felt compelled to check on the ghost present, sometimes lead them to…after, or whatever after there was. That was rare, though.

Eleven Nomu left. Gigantomachia threw another hit at Izuku Midoriya, who was able to throw up a large, spiked shield. Gigantomachia didn't feel pain from it, but it did puncture skin, enough to make Gigantomachia pause and look at his hands before becoming more enraged.

When Izuku Midoriya had performed the exorcism, the Lead Reaper himself had felt…compelled to go answer his call, which had never happened before. He couldn't answer, of course, instead sending the nearest Reaper, Kesshuu Aikawa, to the scene with the order to dispose of the Wraith-disgusting creatures, truly. That incident had placed Izuku Midoriya higher on the Lead Reaper's radar-the Lead Reaper had taken note of his quirk when the boy had been born, but since it was based on consent, he hadn't really kept up with the boy.

Ten Nomu left. Gigantomachia finally noticed Tenko Shimura, struggling to catch his breath-he wouldn't die from this, of course, that would be a very anticlimactic way to end him once and for all. Gigantomachia stopped for just a moment with his attack on Izuku Midoriya and instead lunged to grab Tenko Shimura. Blood dripped onto the ground as Gigantomachia snatched Tenko Shimura, nearly stomping on a few heroes along the way but not particularly focused on that as he yelled in joy of finally reaching his master, despite Tenko Shimura still trying to catch his breath to order the giant villain to stop his attack.

Bringing people back to life was something that the Lead Reaper took issue with, but not in the way that would get Izuku Midoriya in any sort of trouble over bringing Oboro Shirakumo back to life. In fact, the Lead Reaper was relieved that a Nomu such as Kurogiri was destroyed. He had brushed the previous Nomu Izuku Midoriya had killed off as a fluke-it wasn't like he was the only one to do so, Stain had killed one, after all, it wasn't like those abominations were unkillable. However…to push all the ghosts out and only leave a single fragment of a soul? One that he was able to attach the rest of the soul to? Oh, the Lead Reaper regretted not keeping a closer eye on the boy, but Izuku Midoriya had done him a favor with that, so it wasn't out of the question to believe that he would help them get rid of all the Nomu, especially if the Lead Reaper gave him-through Kesshuu Aikawa, of course, he couldn't appear personally-some intel to help the heroes do this as well. It benefitted all parties, really, which meant that technically, the Lead Reaper could walk away from all of this with all parties satisfied, but…with most of the ghosts no longer ghosts, the Lead Reaper could think of a way to express his gratitude for this. It wasn't particularly…ideal, but enough of the Reapers' laws had been broken, a few could be bent here.

Nine Nomu left. Gigantomachia apologized for being so late, having been delayed by "some insects." heading to place Tenko Shimura on his back before he noticed that Tenko Shimura was wearing handcuffs.

Eight Nomu left. Gigantomachia roared in anger at this, stomping over and over as he grew larger than before, shouting that how dare these heroes do this to his master, they had no right to do such a thing. Gigantomachia was able to gently grasp onto the cuffs and pull, but unfortunately, these cuffs weren't able to be broken that way-if Gigantomachia pulled much harder, he would tear off Tenko Shimura's hands. Maybe he realized that, since he seemed to decide to take care of this later, placing Tenko Shimura on his upper back before continuing his attack.

Seven Nomu left as a punch thrown for Izuku Midoriya was thwarted by Shoto Yukito, the taller boy curling around the shorter boy and instantly turning to make sure he was alright-

Gigantomachia went to throw another punch for the two, and Izuku Midoriya grabbed onto Shoto Yukito to get him out of the way, Odin Midoriya immediately moving to get closer to them as Gigantomachia brought both of his fists closer to the two-

Tenko Shimura looked around him, possibly looking for his comrades that he'd ordered to be here, too, but unfortunately for him, they had been arrested back near the villa. Tenko Shimura cursed slightly through his coughing fit before using all of his strength to smash his handcuffs against the giant's back, trying to break the latch. Good luck to him, but those things are made to withstand anything.

Six Nomu left as Odin reached Gigantimachia's face, reared her fist back, and punched with all her strength, causing the villain to stumble back-

And, in the moment, the jossling caused the latch on Tenko Shimura's cuffs to snap, breaking one hand in the process, but with his regeneration ability activating, that didn't do much to even phase him as he turned slightly, aimed, and fired a quirk that the Lead Reaper hated, hitting a shocked Odin Midoriya, who hadn't had time to react before she was suddenly alive again, at her clear surprise and Izuku Midoriya's clear shock as he cried out.

Five Nomu left, and the Lead Reaper was going to make sure that quirk was gone after this. Revival, the very quirk that had brought 14 ghosts back to life, mostly in one fell swoop. Odin Midoriya stumbled in the sky as she was immediately brought back from the dead, a green string momentarily appearing on her arm, only to snap moments later. She stumbled for hardly a second before she continued to fly, an angry look on her face.

Four Nomu left. Oh, the Lead Reaper hated that quirk. When it had first appeared two hundred years ago, he thought nothing of it. The sheer amount of energy it required wasn't something that the original user could handle, so it was never going to be used. The Lead Reaper didn't have cause to take it at the time, so he figured that he would have to take it down the line, if the quirk ever got more powerful through the generations and could be used.

Instead, Junichiro Shigaraki took it.

He never used it, but he certainly had the energy required. But he had many quirks that he didn't use, more collecting them, so the Lead Reaper still didn't have a good enough excuse to end that quirk throughout the years since the man never used it. Or, well, at least not fully.

There was once he used it, in his fight against Toshinori Yagi and, back then, Irene Shigaraki. He had meant to bring Irene Shigaraki back to life, and in a way, he had. Irene Shigaraki had pushed all of her living memories down, essentially killing her spirit and leaving her barely more than a husk. One blast from the quirk, or however many blasts he used from that quirk, only brought her memories back. Brought her into being a true ghost. It hadn't brought her back to life back then, but now…

But now the Lead Reaper could take it. After bringing fifteen ghosts back to life, he could finally take it for good. This was over. All he had to do was-

Three Nomu left-almost there, this nightmare was almost over. Odin Midoriya was swat out of the sky, unable to turn into a ghost and simply phase through as Izuku Midoriya collapsed with tears. Shoto Yukito immediately picked him up and dodged another blow as the child was devastated by all of his ghosts leaving. And they were also in control of parts of his well-being, which meant that things would be…tricky after this for him to get back on his feet-but the Lead Reaper had ways of manipulating. As a thank you for all of this, he could restore full control to Izuku Midoriya. It was technically against the rules, but after all of this, the Lead Reaper could afford to do this for the ghost-quirked child. Or at least speed along the process of getting him back on his feet-a few Reapers here and there had quirks, and there was one in particular that the Lead Reaper was thinking of.

Two Nomu left. Tenko Shimura finally stopped coughing and tried again to touch and destroy Gigantomachia, yelling something, but his words were not reaching the villain as he tried to kill Izuku Midoriya based on the previous order. Unfortunately for the heroes, Izuku Midoriya was sluggish-Odin Midoriya had been barely keeping him going with all of the ones controlling his emotions gone, enough to finish this fight, but now that the two weren't connected, the only thread he had been hanging by had snapped. The heroes there were doing everything they could while Shoto Yukito and Izuku Midoriya were essentially playing a game of keep-away as Izuku Midoriya tried to pull himself together enough.

One Nomu left.

"Last one!" Kesshuu yelled.

"One more!" Yui yelled out in turn as she rounded on the last one-so this is what they actually looked like, she wasn't seeing the clusters of ghosts anymore, just what everyone else saw-her head getting a little fuzzy-quirk exhaustion was starting to kick in-had she ever used her quirk this much while she was alive? Not to mention the whole thing with Gigantomachia-and what if Shigaraki was still active? No, there were enough heroes on this scene that Yui didn't need to use her quirk-

Ground Zero took care of that, sending a large blast at the Nomu, one that more did smoke than anything else, He rushed in, setting off a few more explosions as he got close-

-and thank everything in the universe that that was the moment that Chargebolt appeared, more of Class 1-A, 1-B, Oboro-oh, Yui was so happy to see him right now-and Midnight came crashing in.

Chargebolt was acting as a human taser towards the Nomu as Momo tossed a long sword at Sugarman, who made a snapping noise with his teeth, powered up slightly, and swung, cutting the Nomu's head clean off-

"That's all of them!" Kesshuu said, and Yui immediately collapsed to the ground.

"The Lead Reaper already knows-he'll be making sure to keep his promise," Kesshuu said as Oboro quickly ran over to Yui, helping her up. "Hey, Yui, you…you're bleeding."

"Yeah…yeah, I am," Yui said, leaning against him. "Nothing a hospital visit and some bandages can't handle."

"...hospital?" Oboro asked quietly. "But…it should just hurt, not…you don't bleed like this, and…just going into the Mind Palace-"

"I can't go in anymore," Yui said.

"...you can't?" Oboro asked as the rest of the students began to mutter.

Yui slowly shook her head as she steadied herself on her feet.

"...Flere's that way," Yui said, pointing and starting to walk. "The…the Reapers promised he'd be alright against that monster he's fighting as long as we killed all the Nomu. But Shigaraki might be another story-other villains are another story, and he's almost alone right now-"

"Then let's get going," Oboro said, and with that, the students and heroes nearby started to run.

..

I have to stop Gigantomachia-my throat hurts, I can't yell, should I climb down to his ear? He's moving too much, I can't-what quirks do I have to help in this situation-do I even know all the quirks I have-

Ah, there we go.

Tenko jumped slightly at the voice-he didn't know that voice, reaching to steady himself on one of the spikes-

Tenko's original quirk, Decay, activated in an instant, quickly killing the large villain and sending Tenko into a free fall.

..

Odin immediately dove for Tenko-that fall was too high, he'd die in an instant, she had to save him-

Just before Tenko hit the ground, Odin rammed into his side, curled around him, and skidded across the ground, her clothes and skin taking the hit-there was blood, that hurt, but she was alive, she was alive and needed to get this arrest done again-

"Ofa," Tenko whispered in horror as he sat up, as the heroes nearby ran over, some getting out cuffs, Izuku using his wings and getting there first, making a quick decision to get cuffs on Tenko, who didn't fight back, just stared at Odin as Izuku immediately rushed to her side, tears running down his face as he hugged her-it hurt, but Odin couldn't find herself caring as Duke, Dasu, Eimi, and Kai quickly reached them, too, Shoto a second behind them to join the hug.

So…I've made the choice to move over to writing fanfic over on AO3 as well as updating here, but I might eventually switch over to writing over there entirely.

As I said towards the start of this fic, this is technically a shared account between me and a few friends, so every update on here sends a ping to them, too, when they're keeping up with the email, which is kinda…I don't think it bothers them, but I'm kinda…done, you know? I'd post on my personal account, but honestly, I can't even keyword search my own fanfictions on here when I'm intentionally doing it, so…yeah. I find the tag system over there to be nicer. My AO3 account is Lunar_Heartwood if you want to check it out! Later on, I'll even be doing a rewrite of this fanfic, but only with canonically dead characters like Oboro, Hana, and the One for All ghosts, and the OFA backstory will match the canon one! Yep, my All Might bashing days are lessening (to a degree), and I'll give Izuku One for All. Odin would be happy with the latest user in that AU, as well as a few other AUs I'm planning on writing where Izuku still gets One for All. So…yeah. Once I have this one done, you can probably expect my next fanfic to be posted over there almost immediately after alongside this, but after that...probably just there. I'm already done with chapter one, just waiting to post it.

Sorry if that's a little disappointing to hear, but…yeah.

Also, a few notes! I was NOT actually planning on bringing everyone back to life. Really, I swear! I was actually planning on having everything balance back to sixteen sides by having Kesshuu being ordered by the Lead Reaper to keep a close eye on Izuku, so she was going to become his new Recklessness…but then I remembered that I established a ghost reviving quirk and my brain went, "ooh, I have to do something about that!" So you got that idea shown to you.

I'm planning on having an aftermath of this chapter that might lead into a time skip of after graduation when they're all pro heroes.

Until next time!

Peace!
