Scene: Collège Françoise Dupont. Adrien, Chloé, Marilyn, Marina, Jessica, Ivan, Alya, Juleka, Mylène, Max, Alix, Nathaniel, Nino, Rose, Kim, and Sabrina are in their classroom with Miss Bustier, while Alya cuts out a picture of Ladybug. Alya used the Ladybug cutout, and puts it over their faces.
Marilyn was a French-Danish caucasian girl with straight brown hair going down her shoulders. She had sparkling green eyes. She wore a green sweater dress with a rainbow ribbon tied around her waist. She had black tights and yellow hightops. She had a green bow headband.
"I'm very pleased with how you all did on your last assignment. Some of you have really stepped up, and I do appreciate it. Now it's time to move on to our next assignment." Once Alya puts the cutout over Chloé's, she points at Miss Bustier.
"Is Marinette still in the girl's room?" Miss Bustier asked.
"Uh, I don't know, miss." Alya said. The bell rings, and the students prepare to leave the classroom.
"Tonight I want you all to read chapter three of 'The Breathtaking France, the First Thousand Years.' Then, answer this simple questionnaire." she gives two of the assignments to Alya. "See to it that Marinette receives her homework."
Scene: Outside the classroom. Alya tries to call Marinette, but gets her voicemail instead.
'It's Marinette, leave a message. Beep! He he.'
Scene: Bathroom. Alya is searching for Marinette.
"Marinette?" Alya called, but she wasn't there.
Scene: Outside the classroom.
Alya sees Rose and Juleka.
"Uhh, have you guys seen Marinette anywhere?" Alya asked but Rose and Juleka shake their heads.
Alya enters the locker room, where she sees Marilyn and Chloe talking, while Marilyn takes something from her locker. It's a Diamond Pixie suit and a toy mallet.
"Marilyn's Diamond Pixie?" Alya whispered to each other.
Scene: Outside the school.
Chloé and Marilyn board Chloe's limousine, Alya follows them.
"Hey, Marinette. Ring me ASAP. We gotta talk." Alya said, calling Marinette. She sees Nino. "Nino, wait!"
"Yeah?" Nino said.
"Come with me, I need your help!" Alya said.
"So-" Alya shushes him.
Alya tries to call Marinette again, but...
'It's Marinette, leave a message. Beep! He he.'
"Ughh." Alya groaned. "I hate when she goes AWOL. She's not calling me back! Where is that girl?!"
"Seriously. My man Adrien's the exact same way. But I guess you gotta be sly when Mr. Control Freak is your daddy-o." Nino said. "Rina too, though again, Miss Lara is kinda strict, so I get it."
Alya gets a notification from her phone and on it is a news report of the Miraculous Quad.
"Once again, the Miraculous Quad have saved Paris from the clutches of a dangerous villain," Nadja reported, the footage showing Diamond Pixie, Light Cat, and Chat Noir comforting the akumatized victim, while Ladybug shyly waved her yo-yo and grinned, basking in the glory and admiration. Diamond Pixie was shown in the recorded battle, swinging her mallet against at the akuma.
"Hey! I think I've just sniffed out who the real Diamond Pixie is!" Alya said and whispers to Nino. "Marilyn."
Nino laughs. "Marilyn? Seriously? I mean yeah, I can see her being a superhero. But Diamond Pixie specifically? She's way too nice to be her. You are cray-cray, lady!"
"I am so not! You'll see!" Alya said, she closes her bag and drags Nino from the bench.
Scene: Paris.
Diamond Pixie is soaring above ceilings. She reaches behind a tree and detransforms into Jessica.
"Time flies fast when you're saving the world. The day's already over!" Amy said in her hair.
"Tell me about it. I missed an entire half day of school." Jessica groaned, she dreaded the fact one of the downsides of being a superheroes was her grades potentially tanking.
"Hawk Moth certainly keeps us on our toes!" Amy exclaimed, pointing to her shoes.
"Yes, he does," Jessica agreed. "But we will always be prepared for him." With that, she made her way into her grand mansion and up to her room, ready to tackle her homework.
Just as she settled in, her phone pinged with a new message. It was from her friend Nino, and the text caught her attention. "'Alya says she knows who the real Diamond Pixie is?'" Jessica's eyes widened as she read the words aloud.
"No way! Do you think she actually knows?" Amy asked nervous.
"I highly doubt it," Jessica replied, her tone tinged with skepticism. "Alya always has theories, but she tends to jump to conclusions. If she keeps doing that, she'll never make it in the journalism world."
"But just in case..." Amy trailed off, her worry evident.
Jess let out a sigh, realizing that she couldn't ignore the situation. "Alright, Amethyst, I'll take care of it."
Determined to get to the bottom of Alya's claim, Jessica reached for her phone to call Nino. However, to her frustration, there was no signal.
"Damn. No signal," she cursed, feeling a pang of annoyance.
Thinking quickly, she headed to the balcony, hoping to find a better reception. Instead, she spotted a man working on the cell tower nearby.
"Sorry, miss. We're doing maintenance on the cell tower. The whole neighborhood will be without signal for the next hour," he explained apologetically.
Realizing that there was nothing she could do at the moment, Jessica reluctantly accepted the situation. "Guess there's nothing we can do right now. We'll have to try again later. I'm going to go back in my room and finish my homework," she said, addressing Amy.
With a nod, they both made their way back inside.
Scene: College.
Chloé, Marilyn and Sabrina enter the school, and some students are watching her, including Aurore and Mireille.
"Hey there! Hi! You look totally fab! Is that a new dress?" Marilyn greeted as the trio walked.
"You need to have your head examined. If she's Diamond Pixie, then I'm the Wizard of Oz." Nino said.
"I'm telling you, she's Diamond Pixie!" Alya said.
"Can you prove it?" Nino asked.
Scene: Marinette's room. Marinette and Tikki wake up.
"Uh... what time is it?" Tikki asked.
"Uhh, school starts in..." Marinette checks her phone. "An hour ago?!"
Scene: Locker room.
Alya talks to Nino.
"Now don't mess up your lines." Alya said and pushes Nino to the lockers.
"Oh hi, Nino." Marilyn said, noticing him.
"Oh, uhhh... Diamond Pixie! Look over there!" Nino said, pointing elsewhere.
"Where?!" Chloe asked, falling for it.
"Um, what's going on?" Marilyn asked.
"Uhh, well, that was... Did you see Diamond Pixie yesterday? Isn't she amazing? I wonder who she really is." Nino said, leaning into her face.
"Uhh... up too late DJ-ing, Nino?" Marilyn asked, pushing him back.
Alya takes a photo of Marilyn's locker.
"Uh... Marilyn! Alya's looking in your locker!" Sabrina yelled out.
"Uhh... that's a lie! I so was not!" Alya lied, hiding the phone behind her back. But Kim steals Alya's phone.
"Hey! Give it back!" Alya said, reaching for it.
"Who's the little liar now?" Chloe said.
"Alya..." Marilyn said, surprised but upset.
Scene: Mr. Damocles' office.
"She's guilty of invasion of privacy! We have proof!" Chloe yelled.
"What?! Seriously! All I did was take a measly photo!" Alya yelled.
"I'm sorry, Chloé and Marilyn. But there's no school policy on invasion of privacy." Principal Damocles said
Marilyn, clearly disappointed, scolded, "That's absolutely terrible!"
"Then... then it's breaking and entering!" Marilyn suggested, desperately searching for a way to justify their anger.
Alya quickly defended herself, "I didn't break into her locker! It was wide open!"
"And nothing was stolen, correct?" Principal Damocles questioned, trying to establish the facts.
"Only my very soul! My locker is my sacred sanctuary! Anyone who enters without permission is like a thief, stealing my essence!" Marilyn dramatically declared.
Chloe nodded in agreement, supporting Marilyn's passionate statement. However, Marilyn paused her theatrics and added, "Besides, it's not like she even asked for permission!"
"Right. An hour of detention for you, Alya," Mr. Damocles concluded, his voice firm yet fair.
"Thank you, Mr. Damocles! Hopefully, she'll learn her lesson." Marilyn said.
"She's no superhero, she's super-psycho!" Alya said as she ran out the room.
Scene: Hawk Moth's lair.
"Ahhh... School life. Such a science experiment. A petri dish of cultivating secrets, lies and betrayal, the thriving vivarium for my evil akumas." He turns a butterfly into an akuma. "Fly away, my little akuma, and evilize her!"
Scene: Collège Françoise Dupont.
Marinette runs to the front door.
"I'm late, I'm late, I'm late, I'm so, so late!" Marinette yelled.
As Marinette runs upstairs, Alya walks downstairs, running away from the school, quietly sniffling. She tries to call Marinette, needing comfort.
"It's Marinette, leave a message. Beep! He he!"
Alya's head went into her knees as she sobbed.
The akuma phases into her cell phone, evilizing her.
"Lady Wifi, I heard through the grapevine that you're seeking to unmask Diamond Pixie... I'd like to help you if you agree to help me too."
"I'll expose the lies of anyone who covers up the truth! Sign me up!" Alya said as she turned into Lady Wifi.
Scene: Miss Bustier's classroom.
Marinette sneaks into the classroom sitting down as Miss Bustier was writing on the chalkboard. The bluenette noticed that Alya was not in the room and turns around to Nino, "Where is she?"
"She got a detention, so she left."
"What?!" Marinette yells, standing up and making the students look at her.
"Marinette, if you're going to come late, would you please do it discreetly?" Miss Bustier asks.
"Sorry... " Marinette apologized softly. She whispers to Nino. "What happened to her?"
"The short story? Accused of breaking into Marilyn's locker. I mean, Diamond Pixie's locker..." Nino said.
Marinette yells again. "WHAT?!"
"That's it, Marinette! Go to the principal's office!" Miss Bustier scolded.
Marinette takes her bag and she leaves the classroom.
Adrien whispered to Nino and Jess, who was also intrigued. "What are you talking about?"
"Exactly what I said, guys. Alya says Marilyn is Diamond Pixie! She is crazy!" Nino said.
Adrien and Jess glanced over at Marilyn and Chloe. Marilyn flashed them a warm smile, while Chloe slyly winked at Jess. The two friends exchanged confused glances before redirecting their attention back to their tablets.
Marinette arrived at the principal's office and knocked on the door.
"Mr. Damocles?", Marin asked. Hearing no response, she opens the door.
"Sir?", Marinette continued. Inside was a frozen Mr. Damocles, and a pink stop icon is in front of him.
"Huh?!", Marinette exclaimed, shocked. The computer screen lights up, revealing Lady Wifi.
Back in Ms. Bustier's class, the projector lit up and projected him onto the blackboard, surprising everyone. "I'm Lady Wifi, revealer of the truth! For our first exposé, your principal would like to share a little tidbit with you. So, Mr. Damocles, is it true you gave detention to a student named Alya today?", Lady Wifi asked.
"Uh... yes, it is.", Mr. Damocles admitted. "So, you were biased? Unfair? Totally unjust?!", Lady Wifi urged.
"Yes, I was.", Mr. Damocles agreed.
Marinette noticed the phone Lady Wifi is holding and the ladybug charm on it. "Oh, no! Alya! Tikki, time to transform!", Marin said.
"You're going to have to fight your best friend!", Tikki pointed out. "Nope! I'm gonna have to save my best friend!", Marinette said determined.
"Tikki, spots on! Yeah!", Marin called out, as she transforms into Ladybug.
"For my next scoop, I'll be taking you to meet the guy who's been hiding behind the Diamond Pixie mask!", Lady Wifi said. She puts a pink stop icon on Mr. Damocles, freezing him.
"Stay connected!", Lady Wifi continued. He then turns the screen off.
"Everyone, for your own safety, go directly home right now! And don't forget to read chapters four and five!", Ms. Bustier said. The rest of the students ran out the school.
Scene: Bathroom.
"If Marilyn is Diamond Pixie like Alya said, then Lady Wifi's gonna head straight for her or Chloe's apartment!" Adrien deducted.
"And it also means Marilyn has been flirting with Chloé!" Plagg pointed out.
Immediately, images of Diamond Pixie and Chloe flirting and then sisterly bonding moments of Marilyn and Chloe bonding flashed in their heads.
Afterwards, the two let out sounds of disgust.
"Let's not think about it?" Adrien asked. "Plagg, claws out!" Adrien transforms into Chat Noir.
Scene: Dulce Bakery
Chat Noir landed near the Dulce Bakery, he saw Ladybug also there.
"We need to warn Marilyn! Diamond Pixie or not, she's in danger!" Chat Noir said and Ladybug nodded.
The two went inside. They quickly skipped in line to get to that front.
"Sorry, this is important, I promise!" Ladybug apologized.
"Excuse me! Superhero business in action here!" Chat excused.
Finally reaching the front, they were faced with Vance Dulce, a tall man with striking features. He had fair skin, captivating blue eyes, and his long blonde hair was neatly tied in a low ponytail. Dressed in a stylish blue and black sweater vest, paired with blue pants and brown loafers, Vance exuded an air of sophistication.
"Excuse me, but unless you both have a reservation, I'm afraid you'll have to join the back of the line or find a table. No exceptions, even for superheroes," Vance scolded them firmly.
"It's an emergency, sir!" Ladybug pleaded, her voice tinged with concern.
"Regarding your daughter!" Chat Noir interjected, his words emphasizing the gravity of the situation.
"Wait, what happened to-" Vance began, only to be interrupted by his own question. Turning to the heroes, he urgently asked, "Which one of my daughters is in danger?"
"Marilyn!" Chat Noir and Ladybug exclaimed simultaneously, their voices filled with worry.
A sense of panic washed over Vance as he shouted, "Oh no!"
Curiosity piqued, a brunette woman named Miriam, Vance's wife and Marilyn's mother, inquired, "What's the matter, Vance?" Miriam's long brown hair cascaded down her back, complementing her green and black striped dress, black fishnets, and high heeled black boots.
"Ladybug and Chat Noir just informed me that Marilyn is in danger!" Vance explained, his voice laced with anxiety.
Confusion and concern mingled in Miriam's eyes as she questioned, "What? Why? Is there a reason?"
"Lady Wifi suspects that Marilyn is one of us and is planning to target her! Is she here?" Ladybug clarified, her tone filled with urgency.
Wishing for a different outcome, Vance replied, "We wish! Marilyn went to Le Grand Paris to hang out with Chloe Bourgeois!"
"We better get going!" Ladybug exclaimed, and the two of them set off.
"Hold on!" Vance called out.
Ladybug and Chat Noir turned around to face him.
"Do you need anything for the journey?" Vance asked, realizing that he couldn't let the heroes leave without something, especially since they were on a mission to save one of his daughters.
"Well, actually I would like-" Chat started, but Ladybug quickly covered his mouth with her hand.
"We're all set!" Ladybug interrupted, pulling Chat Noir along as they exited the store.
"But they have passionfruit products here!" Chat complained as he was dragged away.
"Make sure to bring Marilyn back safely!" Miriam shouted after them.
Scene: The city.
Chat Noir and Ladybug gracefully traverse the ceiling, their eyes catching sight of the hotel. They gracefully land, only to find Light Cat already perched on a rooftop, waiting for them.
"Light Cat?" Chat Noir and Ladybug exclaimed simultaneously.
"Hey there, guys," Light Cat greeted with a warm smile.
"How did you manage to arrive here so fast?" Ladybug inquired, genuinely intrigued.
"My super speed and a touch of women's intuition," Light Cat replied playfully.
Little did they know, Chloe and Marilyn had extended an invitation for Marina to join them at the hotel. However, she politely declined, claiming she had something important to attend to. And that something was precisely this. After school ended, she wasted no time in transforming and dashing off to keep a watchful eye on Marilyn and Chloe.
Chat Noir takes his staff and sees Chloé dressed as a genderbent version of him and Marilyn as Diamond Pixie.
"What? This can't be!" Chat exclaimed.
Suddenly, Diamond appeared out of nowhere, causing Ladybug and Chat Noir to jump in surprise. However, Light Cat remained calm and composed.
"Hi, Diamond," Light Cat greeted, acknowledging her presence.
"Oh, Diamond. But-" Ladybug started to speak, but Diamond interrupted her with a sly remark. "Come on, you don't actually believe she's the real Diamond Pixie! And I suppose you thought Chloe was Ladybug."
Ladybug's expression turned sour, clearly offended by the comparison.
Meanwhile, Marilyn attempted to mimic Diamond with a toy rendition of her mallet. However, the weight proved to be too much for her, causing her to spin around and fall over. Chloé keeps playing with her staff but and ends up hitting herself by accident.
"Yeah, of course not," Chat replied, trying to brush off the absurdity of the situation.
"And besides, who would believe that she's the original Diamond Pixie? She's obviously just a fan," Diamond chimed in, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
Light Cat interjected, correcting herself, "Maybe, but we're magical gir-people. For all we know, you look really different from what you look right now."
Diamond hadn't considered that possibility, but she still held onto the hope that her true identity would remain a secret. For now, they watched as Chloé and Marilyn played, ready to step in and protect them if needed.
Scene: Chloé's room. Marilyn quickly grabs her phone as it starts ringing, while Chloe also gets up.
Marilyn answers the call. "Hello?" Suddenly, her phone emits a pink glow, causing her to instinctively throw it away. In that moment, Lady Wifi materializes before her.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't Diamond Pixie!" Lady Wifi smirks. Marilyn attempts to escape, but Lady Wifi uses her powers to freeze her in place with a pink pause icon.
"Hey, what's going on?" Chloe starts to question, but before she can finish, Lady Wifi freezes her too with a pause icon, rendering her immobile.
"We've caught our Wifi signal!" Light Cat exclaims. The Miraculous Quad, along with the others, make their way to the hotel.
Lady Wifi places a camera icon above Marilyn. "Ah, so my suspicions were correct all along," she taunts, projecting images on screens. "Everyone believed the girl behind the Diamond Pixie disguise was an innocent little angel. Think again, folks! The true Diamond Pixie is..." With a swift motion, she removes Marilyn's fake wig, revealing her natural brown hair. "It's Marilyn Dulce, everyone!"
Just then, the Miraculous Quad, including the real Diamond Pixie, enter the hotel.
"Who are you?" Lady Wifi asked.
The Miraculous Quad stopped, not knowing how to answer that.
"Uhhh..." Chat exclaimed as he poses with his muscles in front of them.
Diamond Pixie gave Lady Wifi a disapproving look and facepalmed at her lack of intelligence.
Taking the question seriously, Light Cat confidently replied, "We are the Miraculous Quad. I am Light Cat, this is the REAL Diamond Pixie, that's Chat Noir, and the grumpy one over there is Ladybug. And we're here to defeat you!"
Ladybug rolled her eyes in response to Light Cat's enthusiasm.
Lady Wifi looked at the motionless Marilyn and exclaimed, "Wait, I thought you were Diamond Pixie!"
"Sorry to burst your bubble, my dear, but you should really fact-check before jumping to conclusions," Diamond Pixie taunted.
He uses his cellphone to delete the pink icons, releasing Chloe and Marilyn and making the latter trip and fall.
Diamond turned to Chloe, "Get you and your friend to safety!"
Chloe nodded and managed to get both her and Marilyn to the door, to which they exited.
"Alya?", Ladybug asked.
"Alya's been disconnected. I'm Lady Wifi. News flash! Diamond Pixie, let's find out who you really are!", Lady Wifi replied. She flicks more pause buttons towards they, to which they dodged.
"Follow me!", Diamond Pixie said, and the two ran down the stairs of the hotel. "So what's the plan?", Chat asked.
"He gets his powers from his phone, so let's lead him to the basement, where there isn't any service!", Ladybug explained.
"No service, no power. Nice one, LB!", Chat complimented.
Lady Wifi almost hits Ladybug with a pause button. "We have to go lower!", Diamond Pixie said.
"I've got you now, Diamond Pixie!", Lady Wifi laughed, voice echoing through the chamber. Lady Wifi flicked another pause sign, only to see a low signal on her phone and groaned.
Finally, the two were at the last floor, ready with their weapons. "Get ready!", Diamond commanded.
"So, what do you guys do when you're not superhero-ing?", Chat asked, casually.
"I enjoy writing, reading, and plotting my world domination plans," Diamond Pixie replied, causing Chat Noir and Light Cat to widen their eyes in shock.
"Just kidding, we have to focus on defeating Hawk Moth first," Diamond Pixie added with a playful tone.
Ladybug was taken aback by the distraction and looked like a crazed horse. "Can't you see we're busy right now?" she exclaimed, noticing that Lady Wifi had retreated back into the hotel.
Chat Noir noticed that all the doors had been locked with pink locks. "She's locked us in! Who knows, we might even know each other in real life," he said.
"Doubtful," Ladybug replied.
"Maybe," Diamond Pixie chimed in, noticing another pink lock on the door.
"The door's locked!" she exclaimed.
They reach the top door, which doesn't have a pink lock on it.
"She's left this one open." Chat said.
"Get ready for an ambush on 3. 1, 2, 3!" Diamond Pixie instructed.
They burst through the door to the dining room, only to find that Lady Wifi is nowhere to be found. Phones are on all the tables.
"Ahhh... So much for the ambush." Chat said.
"Follow me. Where is she hiding? And what's up with all these phones?" Ladybug said.
"Probably a-" Diamond Pixie started.
A pink light comes out from a phone, and Lady Wifi appears.
"-trap." she finished
She attacks them.
"How now brown cow? I thought it was you she was after!" Chat pointed out.
Ladybug ties Lady Wifi with her yo-yo, but she disappears, re-appearing above one phone after another.
"Ha! You can't get me!" Lady Wifi taunted.
"Yes we can!" Light Cat countered. She breaks all the phones with her scythe, causing the other two to follow her lead. Lady Wifi runs into the kitchen. When the three heroines follow her in, Lady Wifi locks the door behind them, leaving Chat in.
"No, no, no... Hold on in there, Kitten!" he yells. He checks the hotel map in his staff. "Of course! The service elevator!"
In the kitchen, the trio dodged Lady Wifi's relentless attacks until their hands were trapped by two lock icons, firmly pinned to the wall. Lady Wifi cunningly placed a camera icon in front of them, with Diamond Pixie being the main target.
"Who on earth is Diamond Pixie? Or any of these heroes, for that matter? Are they actual superheroes or just a couple of super-weirdoes? How can we trust them when we don't even know who they truly are? We deserve to know!" Lady Wifi exclaimed, appearing as a projection in the sky. She yanked at Diamond's hair, hoping to reveal a wig, but to no avail.
"Ouch!" Diamond winced in pain.
Next, Lady Wifi turned her attention to Light Cat. She attempted to pull at her hair, but nothing budged. Trying to tug at her cat ears, Light responded with an actual hiss, mimicking an actual cat, and used her free legs to stomp at Lady Wifi's foot.
"Cut it out!" Light snapped.
Finally, Lady Wifi tried to remove Ladybug's mask, but it seemed to be firmly stuck to her face.
"But they won't come off. Why doesn't they come off?" Lady Wifi asked.
"Uhhh... maybe it's because of magic?" Ladybug replied. That was the explanation for Diamond Pixie and Light Cat, but in reality, Lady Wifi simply hadn't considered removing her earrings.
The service elevator door opens, and Chat Noir comes through.
"You're out of minutes, Lady Wifi!" Chat Noir said.
"Oh, how romantic. Tomcat's come to save his love bug, nympho, and his mate for life." Lady Wifi said.
"I am not his love bug!" Ladybug said.
"Ew! Don't talk about us, like we're his harem!" Diamond said, disgusted.
"M-Mate for life?" Light Cat muttered, flustered.
"Gross! I see Ladybug and Diamond more like sisters," Chat Noir retorts to Lady Wifi, his disgust evident. "But we can discuss that later," he adds with a wink directed at Light Cat.
Lady Wifi attacks him, knocking him into the freezer room. His ring comes off, releasing Plagg, and Chat Noir turns into Adrien.
"My ring!" Adrien said.
"Ooh... so chilly in here." Plagg said, shivering.
"Where is it? I could use a little help!" Adrien said.
"Well, well... what am I gonna do with the four of you?" Lady Wifi asked.
"Let him out!" Light Cat yelled, struggling with her bonds.
"Get them to use their special powers! It'll force them to switch back, and her true identity will be revealed, and their Miraculouses will be mine."
"If you don't get him outta fast, your partner in arms and crush will soon be slush. Ha ha ha!" Lady Wifi laughed. She removes the locks from their hands. "Good luck with your cat popsicle! I have other news to cover!" Lady Wifi said, disappearing.
"Huh?" Ladybug exclaimed.
Scene: Outside Le Grand Paris.
The mayor, Miriam, Vance and two police cars are there.
"Come on..." Andre muttered, Vance and Miriam also waited with baited breath.
Thankfully, Chloé and Marilyn exits the hotel and hug their parents. Marilyn checks her phone, but Lady Wifi comes out from it and flies into the sky, broadcasting herself.
"What's up, peeps! Listen everyone! I present you with the award-winning news story you've all been waiting for!" Lady Wifi announced.
In the kitchen, all three heroines were trying to break down the door to the freezer room to no avail.
"We'll get you out of there, Chat Noir!" Light Cat said, worried for his safety.
"Take your time!" Adrien said, still shivering.
Diamond Pixie and Ladybug stared at each other, before nodding.
"Don't blink, 'cause Diamond Pixie and Ladybug's about to drop the bomb on their real identities!" Lady Wifi said.
Diamond Pixie closed her eyes, held her hands together in a praying motion, and the gem on her headband glowed.
She saw Ladybug destroying the lock by putting a box in the microwave, Light Cat and Lady Wifi battling it out on the roof before Light Cat sent a Kerauno to the cell tower, destroying it.
"Ladybug, do your lady charm!" the pixie hero instructed and Ladybug hummed, unsure.
"It's okay! We'll win, promise." Diamond Pixie reassured.
Ladybug nodded.
"I hope that box brings us some luck," Light Cat remarked, a hint of skepticism in her voice.
"Quick, put it in the microwave!" Diamond Pixie urged.
"What?!" Ladybug exclaimed, taken aback by the unexpected request.
"Ugh, we don't have time to waste!" Light Cat groaned in frustration. She swiftly took the box from Ladybug, placed it in the microwave, turned it on and kicked it to melt the lock icon.
"Gotcha! Gotcha!" Adrien said, upon grabbing his ring.
"Come on, micro-thingies, jam this signal..." Light Cat muttered hopefully.
As the box electrified the microwave, the lock vanished, allowing Light Cat to pull open the freezer door. Chat Noir tumbled out, trembling from the cold, but Light Cat caught him in her arms.
"Are you alright, Chat?" Light Cat asked, her voice filled with genuine concern. Just as she spoke, the Miraculous of Ladybug and Diamond Pixie beeped urgently.
"You used your Psychic Connection and Lucky Charm...there's not much time left." Chat said.
"Exactly!" Lady Wifi said, watching them.
"Zap open the kitchen door!" Chat suggested.
"We can't, microwave's busted." Light said to him. "I could try shocking the door open myself?"
Light Cat started grunting hard until electricity starts to crackle unstably from her hands. The other heroes looked fearful and concerned for the lightning heroine.
Diamond Pixie chuckled nervously and put her hands on Light Cat's arms, stopping the unstable electricity. "Thank you, Light Cat! B-But how about we do something a bit less dangerous?" As Diamond lowers Light's arms, the lightning starts to disappear from her hands.
Diamond whispers to the group. "I have a better idea. Here's what we'll do, listen to me..."
"Got it." Chat said as Ladybug and Light nod.
Chat Noir smiles goofily while he puts a pan over the top of the camera icon, blocking Lady Wifi's screen.
"What are they up to?" Lady Wifi said.
"Don't let my Miraculous get away!" Hawk Moth said.
"Right!" Lady Wifi said.
Light Cat stepped into the service elevator. "I'll go and disable the wi-fi antenna," she declared confidently.
"Good luck!" Diamond Pixie exclaimed, giving the up button a firm press. As the doors closed, she began her ascent.
With a beep, the service elevator doors opened, and Lady Wifi burst out. She was hot on Light Cat's heels, determined to catch her.
Meanwhile, inside the elevator, Light Cat swiftly dodged a barrage of pink icons that Lady Wifi was hurling at her. She managed to escape through a nearby door just in time, narrowly avoiding the relentless attack.
In the kitchen, Ladybug and Diamond Pixie coughed as dust rained down from the elevator shaft. The chaos was escalating, and they could only hope that Light Cat would make it out safely.
"Kitten!" Chat Noir called out in a worried tone.
Scene: Hotel Roof.
Light Cat dashed through the door and glanced up, spotting the Wifi antenna. With a burst of energy, she leaped towards it. "Found you! Kerauno!"
As she prepared to strike the Wifi pole, a sudden surge of pink electricity enveloped it, revealing Lady Wifi perched on top.
"Well, well, kitty cat. Nice try, but I won't let you disconnect me so easily!" Lady Wifi taunted, launching a pause icon towards Light Cat, who swiftly somersaulted out of harm's way.
Scene: Kitchen.
One of Diamond Pixie's facets vanished from her headband, while Ladybug's earring emitted a beep. Ladybug now had only three spots left. "Hurry, Light Cat..."
Scene: Hotel Roof.
Lady Wifi relentlessly attacked Light Cat with pause icons, but Light Cat skillfully evaded each one.
In a desperate move, Lady Wifi hurled her scythe at Light Cat, who managed to dodge it effortlessly. However, the scythe split into two, and Lady Wifi fired two pause icons towards them.
Looking down, Lady Wifi realized that Light Cat was dangerously close to destroying the Wifi pole. "No!"
But it was too late. Light Cat successfully casted Kerauno on the Wifi tower, causing it to rust and collapse. Lady Wifi came crashing down with it.
"Who would've thought I'd ever be glad to see the wifi go down..." Light Cat remarked.
Scene: Kitchen.
The recording icon and lock icon on the kitchen doors vanished into thin air.
Diamond and Ladybug exchanged triumphant smiles.
"Yes! I always knew she could do it!" Chat exclaimed, grinning as the trio finally left the kitchen doors.
Lady Wifi's recording icon vanished into thin air.
The villain glanced at her phone, only to realize that the Wifi signal had disappeared. "Lost the signal!"
Light Cat lunged towards Lady Wifi, desperately trying to snatch the phone from her grasp, but she skillfully evaded the attack.
With a swift kick to Light Cat's chest, Lady Wifi sent her flying backwards. Undeterred, Light Cat made another attempt to seize the phone, but Lady Wifi swiftly pinned her to the ground, rendering her defenseless.
Lady Wifi chuckled triumphantly, but her laughter was cut short when a yo-yo wrapped around her wrist, forcefully pulling her to the ground and causing the phone to slip from her grip.
Chat Noir caught the phone and smashed it against the ground, shattering it into pieces. The Akuma emerged and began to fly away.
"Get out of here, you pesky bee. Bugger off, little akuma. It's time to de-evilize!"
Diamond's eyes turned a brilliant white, and the gem on her headband emitted a radiant glow. Strangely, the Akuma seemed drawn to the light, flying towards it. However, it was momentarily stunned, and the darkness dissipated, transforming it back into a pure white butterfly. Diamond Pixie's gem ceased glowing, and her eyes returned to their usual purple hue. The now pristine white butterfly fluttered away.
"See ya, little butterfly."
"Miraculous Ladybug!" Ladybug exclaimed, tossing the Lucky Charm into the air.
In a dazzling explosion of energy, everything returned to normal, and Lady Wifi reverted back into Alya.
Alya stood there, completely bewildered. "Huh?" she exclaimed, her confusion evident.
The Miraculous Quad exchanged a triumphant fist bump. "Pound it!"
Alya's eyes widened in amazement. "No way! All four members of the Miraculous Quad! Can I please have a quick interview? Let me just grab my phone!" she exclaimed, rushing off to retrieve her phone.
Chat Noir's attention was suddenly drawn to Ladybug's earring, while Diamond Pixie's headband started beeping. "Uh-oh, we've got to go. You both only have a minute," he informed his partners.
Both heroines nodded in understanding as they, along with Light Cat and Chat Noir, swiftly made their way towards the exit.
Finally, Alya returned with her phone in hand. "Alright, let's do this," she said, only to realize that the Miraculous Quad had vanished. "Oh no! Where did they go?" she exclaimed, disappointment evident in her voice.
Scene: Hotel Lobby.
The Miraculous Quad arrived.
Ladybug dashed into a room, intending to close the door, but Light Cat managed to grab it before she could.
"Wait, stay!" Light Cat pleaded desperately, just as her choker beeped. "I promise I won't reveal your identity. Cat's honor." Light even made a girl scout sign to emphasize her sincerity.
"Nobody should ever find out who we truly are. Not even ourselves," Ladybug declared firmly, closing the door. Light Cat attempted to open it, but Ladybug closed it just in time, transforming back into Marinette.
Chat Noir and Light Cat turned their attention to Diamond Pixie, who seemed unsure. "I-I'm not ready yet. But it's not never, just not now!" Diamond exclaimed before flying away.
"Phew, that was a close call!" Tikki exclaimed in relief.
"Tell me about it," Marinette replied. She opened the door cautiously, finding no one outside.
Adrien and Marina left the hotel.
"'Nobody should ever find out who we truly are. Not even ourselves' Yeah, right!" Lita scoffed. "I've always despised that rule. It's not even a real rule, just something superheroes do because they think it makes things better. But in reality, not knowing each other's identities also brings its own set of problems."
"Well, as much as I'd like to know, I can't force them to reveal themselves," Marina said sadly.
"Don't worry, Princess. The night is still young. How about we grab a bite to eat?" Adrien suggested.
"That sounds nice," Marina replied, her spirits lifting slightly.
"Oh, and get me a cheese platter!" Plagg chimed in.
"And something with fish for me, please!" Lita added.
The two chuckled at their kwamis' requests and continued on their way.
"Your masks will fall one day, Miraculous Quad. You'll have no choice then but to hand over your precious Miraculous!" His window closes.
Scene: The Place des Vosges.
Jessica and her cousin, James, found a cozy spot on a bench to catch up.
"Wait, you're actually going to spill your secret to them?" James asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I'm torn, James! Usually, I rely on my logical side, but when it comes to the team, my heart just wants to burst from the seams and spill the beans!" Jessica confessed.
"So, you're finally listening to your heart, huh?" James teased, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"Don't say it like that," Jessica muttered.
Suddenly, a voice chimed in from Jessica's jacket. "I've always believed that a balance between the head and the heart leads to the best outcomes," Amethyst said.
Just then, Alya's enthusiastic voice broke through, grabbing the attention of the cousins.
"Got it! Wanna see my new smartphone? It puts my old phone to shame! Just look at these pics!" Alya said.
Confused, Marinette noticed that most of the pictures were of Adrien. "Um, why do you have so many photos of Adrien?" she asked, sounding a bit possessive.
James, giving Marinette a side-eye, whispered, "Doesn't she know that Adrien and Alya are friends too?"
"Well... with a mask and a costume, don't you think he looks a little bit like Chat Noir?" Alya pointed out.
Jessica stood there, frozen in thought. The idea hadn't crossed her mind before.
"Are you out of your mind? He's tons more legit than Cat Noir!" Marinette said, clearly offended.
Suddenly, a voice interrupted Marinette's words. It was Marina Storm, storming towards her with anger in her eyes.
"I can't believe you would say that! Chat Noir is an incredible hero who risks his life every day to protect people!" Marina ranted.
James, observing the scene, smirked and commented, "Looks like Chat Noir has a devoted fan!"
"Yeah..." Jessica replied, her mind still grappling with the possibility of Chat Noir and Adrien being the same person. Could it be true? Their personalities seemed so different.
Another OC: Marilyn Dulce, I describe her as being a rambunctious slightly tomboyish (though don't call her a tomboy, she loves being feminine) friend of Marina, Chloe and Sabrina. She also holds a elemental miraculous, it'll be a while before I tell you what it is.
Nothing on Light Cat, though Jess is starting to question Adrien probably being Chat Noir.
Real talk here, I have a mixed relationship with Alya. Maybe I'll be positive to her or maybe I may start salting her in the future. Just thought I'd say it now.
Also Lita's favorite food is fish! I just thought funny as Plagg's love of cheese. I thought it'd be funny if Lita had a stereotypical love of fish!
