Hello, again, everyone! Your favorite author is back! Previously on "Metamorphosis", our heroes heard about Amilio and consulted the police about him. Now they're off to begin their mission to discover his motives. Meanwhile, we were introduced to five people wanting to find a way to turn Amilio back to normal. Get ready to read chapter 3!
The turtles, April and the police officers arrive at the Mini-Mart crime scene where they are explained by the store's security officer.
"Fortunately, the guard was ok, just paralyzed, and was taken directly to the hospital." The security officer explained. "All the creature was doing so far is stealing food, paralyzing only guy police officers, and so far hasn't harmed any civilians."
"Has the creature left any form of DNA other than the slime from its mouth?" The police officer asked.
"Yeah, this scale we found by the pumpkin aisle."
The cop picks up the scale and looks at it. "Well, we know the thing's obviously a reptile."
"And I think it was some kind of lizard." The cop's partner, Jennet, added.
"Yeah, the fact that thing had, oh, I don't know, ARMS, kind of prevents it from being a snake! And it didn't have a shell, so it couldn't be a turtle! So, yes, it is a freaking lizard!"
"You didn't have to be mean."
"Well, you didn't have to be a she-twat, but you're doing it anyway!"
The police chief, Bullington, appears and says to the male cop, "Take it easy, Axle. She's just a newbie, they tend to state the obvious and ask a lot of mostly simple questions. She'll be a good cop soon enough. I would like it though if she becomes a good cop without an attitude like yours, Axle. You're the best of the best of the best of the best! So, get over it, zapparooni!"
"Does anyone have an idea on how we dispose of the problem?"
"You mean you want to kill it?" Jennet asked.
"It's sci-fi rule number one. If it's a monster, it must be destroyed."
"What makes you think the guy isn't still there in the creature?"
"Trust me. Did you ever read the book 'Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde'? There was little hope for Jekyll to escape Hyde, and he knew it! Chances are, this implies to our perp as well."
"Please, Officer Axle, this monster is not really a monster." April pleaded. "It just needs help!"
"I'm sorry, Ms. O'Neil, but I've made my decision. I'm finding this beast, and I am taking him out!"
"Axle, what if they're right?" Chief Bullington asked. "What if Xenon is just an innocent victim of circumstance?"
"Sorry, chief, but if I don't have any proof of that, then I cannot change my mind. Now excuse me. I'm gonna hunt me a monster!" Axle leaves.
"Oooh, that selfish grouch!" Leonardo complained.
"I know." Chief Bullington replied. "He's ben like that since he was 13."
"What should we do now, Chief?" Jennet asked.
"I want you to follow Axle, and make sure he stays out of trouble. But don't let him see you. I don't want any shock marks on our case."
"You can count on me, sir!" Jennet leaves after Axle.
"Well, I haven't spoken for a while, so I'll just say, what'll we do now?" the store security officer asked.
"Now, we continue our investigation, Mr. Tucker." The police chief answered. "Who knows where this monster is or what it's capable of."
"Yes, sir!"
"The rest of you, go find Xenon."
"No problem, officer!" Donatello said while saluting. Then the turtles and April set out to search for Xenon.
In a dark alley, Xenon is feeding on steaks. "Oh, God, how am I gonna find that cure? I've got only five days until death! I need a plan. And man, does it feel weird I am actually eating meat! Must be part of this mutation I have."
"Hello?" Leonardo's voice calls, causing Xenon to gasp, go into camouflage mode and run away very quickly. "Is anybody here? Huh. I could've sworn I heard a noise out here."
"Well, let's keep looking." Donatello said. "This Xenon thing has gotta be around here somewhere."
"The monster was last here!" Raphael spoke up. "And he smells like both the sewers, this alley, and a strange hint of a good steak dinner."
"You got the scent of the monster?" Michelangelo asked. "How?"
"I got it from the scent of the paralyzing goo puddle we saw a mile away. And it went that way!"
"You ready to go for it?" Leonardo asked.
"It's now or never!" Donatello replied and they all headed down the alley.
"Uh-oh!" Xenon thought while making a break for it before he's detected while still invisible. "I better get my lunch and jet! Who to think that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles themselves got involved. I read about them in thrown away newspapers, but I never thought I would cross paths with them! All I did was steal food and beat cops... Oh darn it! It's because of my condition isn't it?! How horrible? Even the greatest heroes ever judge me on my appearance!"
"I can smell him." Raphael said. "He's not too far away."
"Well, that's a good thing." Michelangelo agreed.
"I gotta hide, gotta hide, gotta hide!" Xenon thought and climbed to a roof.
"He must be here somewhere." April said.
"But where?" Michelangelo asked.
Xenon suddenly retracts wings from his arms and flies over the alley, but the wing flaps make noises!
"THERE HE IS!" Raphael shouted.
"Aw, crud, why did I think flying was a good idea?!" Xenon thought before appearing.
"WHOA!" Donatello exclaimed. "And I thought people say I was hard to look at."
"Why must you normal always bother me! I am not seriously or fatally hurting anyone unprovoked! All I just wanted was some food and to be left alone!"
"Calm yourself creature." April said. "We mean you no harm. Since you desire no foul doings to these good people, aside from stealing and assaulting authority, we perhaps could persuade you to come with us to the sewers."
"Oh, typical normal, always calling beings like me creatures, monsters or animals just for being different! Now you just wanna dump me in the sewers? I am nothing like the monsters you faced before, and you'll never be able to understand how I became this!"
"Well, actually, we figured you came from a mommy, whatever you are, and a daddy, whatever you are." Leonardo said.
"Seriously?! You actually think I was born like this?! Like this is something nature planned?!"
"You'd be surprised what the universe has under its sleeves." Donatello said.
"Oh yeah?! Well, how's this! I was actually a normal like you, but I wasn't born like this!"
"You mean your deranged mind's twisted invention?" Raphael asked.
Xenon growls in being offended by the turtle's words. "THAT'S IT!" He roars.
"Nice one, Raph." Michelangelo said sarcastically. "You provoked him!"
Xenon charges madly at the turtles and April, who all do their best in fighting back the mutant monstrous chameleon. Raphael leaps toward Xenon with daggers in hand, but the chameleon grabs him, throws away the daggers and throws him over a building, causing the turtle to land on a car with a crash!
"MY CAR!" The car's owner screamed.
"I'll handle this!" Donatello declared. "HAI-YA—" He punches chest armor. "AOOOOOOOOOOUCH!" Xenon grabs Donatello by the neck and throws him out in the distance. The turtle lands on a jeep with a crash!
"MY JEEP!" The jeep's owner screamed.
Michelangelo attacks, but Xenon grabs him by the feet and smacks him into April and Leonardo, then throws him off in the distance. "MOMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY—" The turtle lands on a limo with a crash!
"MY LIMO!" The limo's owner screamed.
"We're losing!" April yelled.
"And we're overdoing it on the car jokes!" Leonardo exclaimed before grabbing Xenon from behind and grips on him with his sword! "Ha! I now have a strange-hold on you, creature!" Xenon uses a stinger on his tail to sting the turtle. "OUCH! What was that?!" Xenon takes the sword, tosses Leo off, then roars. The turtle's eyelids turn rainbow-colored, and he starts to see weird things. Xenon appears as a skeleton monster with red eyes. April appears as walking Swiss cheese. "Oh, yummy, cheese! GUYS, LOOK! I SEE COOKIES AND ICE CREAM EVERYWHERE!"
"Leonardo, are you ok?" April asked in concern.
"Why, yes, Scooby-Doo, I'm feeling fancy!"
"Scooby-Doo? That lizard made you bonkers!"
"Oh look, it's about time for a ballet recital. Tip-up, cheerio, cheese bagel!" Leonardo faints.
"I know a drugged guy's ramblings when I hear it."
"Lucky for you girl, the stuff in the turtle over there ain't fatal, but don't expect him to be useful for at least 72 hours or more." Xenon said.
"Ok, this smart ass is going downtown!" April charges, but Xenon grabs her by the head and smacks her in the wall twice, then throws her to the ground. The girl becomes dizzy as stars circle around her head. After recovering, she asks, "How are we gonna catch this guy? We're throwing everything we've got at him!"
Suddenly, Splinter arrives and fights Xenon flawlessly until the monstrous mutant chameleon falls, too exhausted to continue fighting. "Let's get this grouch to a secluded location for questioning as soon as we find the turtles."
Our heroes have finally found Xenon but had to fight him after Raphael accidentally provoked him. He easily defeated them, but just when all seemed lost, Splinter arrives and defeats Xenon. What will happen next? Find out in the next chapter! Read and review, thanks!
