It took at least thirty minutes before Saphira was able to leave the gap out of the closet to return to the office. Bonnie had given her an ice pack in the meantime, and Saphira was glad, because she knew it was going to help immensely with the swelling of her ankle. Springtrap did stay with her the whole time, making sure she was okay. But Saphira wasn't. She ended up breaking down in tears two minutes after being given the ice pack, and she didn't stop crying until after she left the closet. She had cried due to the fear she had before, and due to the guilt she was feeling in regards to how she hurt Springtrap.

She managed to calm down after being brought to the office, and she now had her ankle wrapped and she was sitting on the office chair. She wiped the tears away from her cheeks as she took deep breaths. It was nice that Springtrap had decided to stay with her, even though he was still hurting by her choice to not verbally tell him her feelings. She honestly was too scared to, and he knew it.

Springtrap rinsed a washcloth in the bathroom and squeezed it to get the excess water out before he turned and walked over to Saphira. Bonnie had wrapped the ice pack around her ankle to try and reduce the swelling in her ankle. Springtrap walked over and Saphira looked at him as he lifts his hand to gently wash her face. Saphira smiled as she appreciated the kindness from Springtrap, and yet it made her feel worse.

She was really having a hard time resisting the urge to just kiss him. But she was holding it back for the moment. "I….really am sorry for hurting you, Springtrap." He glanced at her eyes for a moment before looking back at her face as he cleaned the tears from her skin. "I…I…" He didn't say or react to anything she was saying. "I…" Saphira sighed deeply and lifts her hand to place on his left cheek suddenly, making Springtrap flinch in surprise and look at her curiously. "I do care deeply for you, Springtrap. I always will. I hope you know that." Springtrap's ears droop slightly as his expression softened. "I…I am just scared of what will happen…"

"I know." Springtrap smiled at her, making Saphira glance away as tears fill her eyes. He sighed and gently placed his fingers on her chin to turn her head to look at him. She gazed at his eyes, his silver eyes were beautiful to her. "If not for Afton, things might be different. But then…I would not be alive." He stared at her green eyes and his eyes filled with love, and Saphira could see it. "I will protect you, Saphira. I might be breaking the rules, but I do not care. I care about you more than acting like a robot."

Saphira smiled at him, glancing at his lips briefly as he was very close to her. The desire to kiss him was strong. "I hope it won't get us in trouble, but I am glad that you are willing to protect me. I am…well…flattered…" Springtrap was pleased to hear that from her, and he knew he was doing something right. "But I do hope to build a friendship with the new animatronics. I can tell that they weren't actually evil. They were just hungry…and I guess I understand that they were unable to ignore the instincts."

"To be honest, once they were able to start eating, they calmed down quite a bit. At least, I could tell. Jack-O-Freddy himself was the most apologetic when he got food in his stomach. The other three still need time, I think." Springtrap observed how Saphira was trembling and her breath was shaky. She clearly was reacting to his closeness to her body. And he wanted to kiss her, and he could tell she wanted to kiss him, but was resisting the urge. "I think, with a bit of time, the animatronics will calm down enough to…" Springtrap glanced up before he leaned away from Saphira with a frown. Saphira followed his gaze and tensed upon seeing Jack-O-Freddy standing at the window. "You have a lot of nerve coming here. Saphira, you might need to…"

"Wait!" Jack-O-Freddy watched the girl flinch as his voice snapped back and interrupted Springtrap. He glanced to his left side as Bonnie, Freddy, Toy Chica and Fredbear walk over, watching him intently. "I don't want to hurt her. And I am sorry that I tried." Saphira was surprised that the animatronic was apologizing, and she relaxed a bit. "Listen…Mike wants you dead, Saphira. He spent time with the four of us telling us how annoying and weak you are. He told us that Afton wants something from you, but he does not know what that is. And then…you probably know Hayley."

Saphira nodded. "I used to go to school with her. I am certain she has connections with Afton."

"Oh, she does. Hayley was present when we were being loaded into the truck. I overheard her excitedly tell Afton that she was going to make him proud, and ensure that by the end of the weekend, things will be set in motion." Jack-O-Freddy glanced at the animatronics beside him. "You all have been alive longer than me. We are considered new born, compared to the rest of you. I don't know if I like Mike, based on what he was saying. He wanted us to be killers, but I don't think that's who I am. I…" He looked at his sharp claws and looked at Saphira. "You are friends with everyone here, and that tells me that you are a good, nice person, Saphira. So I don't think I will believe Mike. I will believe everyone who is here over him."

Bonnie tilts his head slightly as he was unsure if he should trust the animatronic's word. "It is good you say that, but I have yet to see if we can trust you. The nightmare animatronics had better self-control then you four have, so it makes me concerned you will attack her again. And you day you have heard Mike and Hayley say stuff regarding, Saphira. I hope you aren't trying to get to her by pretending to be nice."

Jack-O-Freddy looked back at Saphira for a moment and sighed. "I don't know. I am not sure what it was like for you, but…we were all awake in that lab for two days…" Saphira widened her eyes, as that was not expected. "We were…told things…it is hard to not believe what they say when you wake up for the first time. And, in truth, tonight wasn't our first time tasting flesh. But…during those two days, hearing the things we were told, I immediately knew something was strange when they were all saying something different. I guess I have an instinct for picking up deception, but…I…I don't know what I am doing right now, honestly."

Saphira stared curiously at him. "You are kind of confused on what to do, right?" Jack-O-Freddy nodded slowly. "Well…I guess we can't make you do something you don't want to do, Jack-O-Freddy. But we can work this out. As far as I am concerned, even though you guys are alive, you guys are victims as well of this life." Jack-O-Freddy looked at her curiously as she spoke to them. "Now that I know more about you guys…it…it is sad that you have to put a performance on each and every day. You have to act like a robot, so no one suspects anything. Honestly, it hurts to see that you are trapped in a prison that you were, essentially, born into. You might not feel it now, Jack-O-Freddy, but these guys…" Saphira placed her hand on Springtrap's shoulder and gestured to Bonnie and Fredbear. "They have been around a long time. And they will say that to you as well."

Fredbear nodded. "Yes. But we have had to get used to this life. Or…things will happen." Fredbear placed his hand on Jack-O-Freddy's shoulder gently to give him an encouraging squeeze. "Look, we want you to get along with Saphira. Now that we know you are confused and unsure, we can help you know the real Saphira. You four are new, and we had not expected you until recently. So we had not been prepared. Though Saphira had seen a part of your creation sometime ago." Jack-O-Freddy looked at Saphira in surprise, as he did not know that. "She did the stupid thing by sneaking into Afton's lab, and she saw the progress Afton had made of you guys, so I guess we should have expected you at the time she found out about. But we had no warning until recent. But we want you to be comfortable with us, and you will get to know us properly."

Jack-O-Freddy thought about it now that he knew more and he smiled. "Well…that certainly was not something I had expected. But…I am glad you are willing to give us a chance. I am sorry for scaring Saphira, and attacking you guys to try and get to her…we really should have listened to you…" Jack-O-Freddy took a deep breath and stepped back from the window. "I hope that tomorrow we can…try and start again, Saphira. Um…I will be feasting with the other animatronics…your scent is still a little too much…"

"I hope tomorrow is better too." Saphira's smile widened and she winked at Jack-O-Freddy, making the animatronic relax some more. "I live here too now, so…I am just as stuck here as you, Jack-O-Freddy. I hope you will realize that too."

The animatronic seemed surprised, as he had yet to be told that, but he did not question it as he walked away with Bonnie, Freddy, Toy Chica and Fredbear following him. Saphira felt sad for the new animatronic, she could see that he was confused, and likely did not know how to treat Saphira. Especially if Jack-O-Freddy and the other Halloween animatronics heard mixed things about her, which would lead to a lot of confusion that was not their fault.

Saphira sighed and looked at Springtrap who looked back down at her. "Seems like they were…kind of messed up when they were delivered. And I get the feeling that Afton knew…he did have a note on that scarecrow at Mike's desk with a sentence simply stating that the first night was always the most aggressive."

"To be honest, I don't think we should be surprised. But it seems like Jack-O-Freddy is level headed." Springtrap looked at Saphira's ankle and crouched down. "How is your ankle feeling? Does it still feel sore?"

"It will be sore for a few days, Springtrap." The animatronic frowned as he did not like that she would be injured for a few days. "I don't have any crutches, unfortunately…so getting changed, using the bathroom and shower is going to be…" Saphira realized she was going to need quite a bit of help due to not having crutches. And Springtrap had offered to stay in her room, even during the open hours. She could not help but feel herself blush deeply due to realizing that. "Are there crutches in the first aid room?"

"I am afraid not." Springtrap looked up at her and noticed her blushing, making him curious as to why she was blushing. "I am sure it will take a bit of time getting used to, but I am quite happy to help you, Saphira. You know that." Saphira nodded as she know that, even though he could potentially see her naked for the first time. "I am sure there will be times you want to do something without my help, and I will respect it. Don't worry. I just want to protect you."

Saphira knew that. She took a deep breath and she decided to try and clear her mind by checking Hayley's socials, in case there was something that will stand out to her. Saphira scrolled through Hayley's Instagram, before coming across a new post that was just posted. She shivered as what she saw caused goose bumps to cover her skin as she stared at the image. It was an image of Hayley posting a selfie with the four men that had trespassed into the building, with the caption Appetizers on the post, and Saphira had no idea what that meant.

Springtrap tilts his head as he noticed Saphira's face paling and he stepped closer to look at her phone, and noticed the post that had been put on her social media. He frowned as he stared at the image. "It would seem Hayley knew these men." She nodded in agreement, and placed her fingers on the phone to get a closer look at their eyes. "Hmm…seems like their eyes are strange in this image…"

"Makes me wonder…" Saphira hummed for a moment before she brought up articles that have been recently showing up about people going missing. Not just in the city, but surrounding areas and some towns further away. That made her wonder about these news articles. Each missing person were different ages and genders, but they are all over eighteen." She didn't see any missing persons under eighteen, though there probably will be. "All these people went missing within the last…five weeks. And they seem to be within days, and even, hours of each one going missing. That is suspicious."

"Maybe that is why Afton wanted Mike to take this little vacation of theirs. Maybe even to experiment on them." Saphira shivered as Springtrap could be right. Springtrap huffed and leaned back as Saphira scrolled through the articles. "However, I am sure you must realize that not all of them could have been because of Afton. Their disappearances could easily be due to someone else. And we don't know if he has more then those four."

"You are right. I guess…I…I don't know. This whole thing is getting messier…and…maybe we should open what is beneath the stage in the Haunted Classroom. I know we said not to…but I think we should…soon." Saphira knew that there might be more answers down there, but she also knew it was simply giving into another part of Afton's game. "Things are just happening so fast, and I am finding it difficult to keep up."

Springtrap softened his expression and wrapped his arm around her shoulders gently to hug her against his chest lightly. "I know. And I guess things will keep happening…while he is still alive." Saphira nodded in agreement. "Do you want me to take you down to the bedroom now?" She looked at him in surprise and shook her head. "I guess because we have a few hours until six, you probably just want to stay up here." She looked at the monitors and began to look through the cameras randomly, which silently answered his question. "Well…how about one of Toy Chica's hot chocolates? I will see if she is able to make one for you."

"That actually would be nice. Uh…" Saphira thought for a moment and smiled at him. "And maybe some cake. One for you, and one for me." He smiled as he was glad that she wanted to share something with him. "I think we both will feel better." He nodded in agreement and stood up to walk out to ask Toy Chica for the request. "And…Springtrap." He stopped at the doorway and glanced over his shoulder to look at her. "Um…never mind." She looked away from him as tears fill her eyes.

Springtrap sighed and walked out of the room to make his way to the dining room to find Toy Chica. Saphira felt stupid for speaking to him. She almost wanted to tell him she loved him, but she forced herself to stop. She hated it. Hated it so much. It really felt like a bad excuse to keep using Afton as the reason to not allow her feelings to show the way she wanted them to. She knew that she was still showing signs of her love for him, but she hasn't verbally said it, nor was she actively engaging in that love.

Ugh! Maybe I should just…give in…I don't know how long I can ignore it. I'll regret it if something happens, and I never get the chance to tell him my deeper feelings.

Saphira hated this feeling of being in a corner right now. She did. She felt like she was being a coward for staying in the corner, hiding her face while trying to figure a way out of the situation. She glanced up at the vent, wondering what Afton's next move was after Halloween. She guessed he was going to focus on what he wants from Saphira. And she didn't know if she wanted to know what he was going to do, and he probably will focus on Christmas.

Saphira thought on what she should do. She realized she was going to have to open up. It was hurting her and Springtrap. She had already made a guess of what Afton wanted, and she didn't even know if it was possible. However, she knew that ignoring and pushing it aside was not going to stop Afton. He was going to get what he wants. And it wouldn't matter to him if she refused her feelings for Springtrap or not, he would get what he wanted someway or another.

Saphira grabbed her sketchbook and opened it to the sketches she has done of Springtrap. She stared at the images she had created and smiled, rubbing her fingers along the pages gently as she gazed at what she has drawn. Each drawing she had sketched of Springtrap had been done with great thought, care and love, and she knew it. Each image captured his likeness so well, and it was as if she had taken a photo and stuck it to the page. She felt tears fall from her eyes as she flipped the pages, looking at each image with longing, knowing that she and Springtrap could have been very close now. But she's pushed him away.

I did it because I thought I was protecting him and myself. But…I don't know if that will work. Pressure is being put on us. I hope…well…I don't think I should tell him today though. There's always…tomorrow…

Saphira smiled to herself as she figured that if she gave herself and Springtrap another day to calm down, then maybe she will open up. She didn't want to hold back anymore. She loved him so much. She loved him so much that it hurts to know that she couldn't show the love she wants to show him. She took a deep breath, closing the sketchbook and hugging it against her chest as she finally resolved her decision. And she looked forward to seeing Springtrap's reaction as well. He was going to be surprised.

She hoped he would take it well at least. She knew he loved her, and it showed. And he knew she loved him by her actions. It was time to stop being a coward. Saphira felt her heart race as she was very nervous. She put the sketchbook away and looked at her phone again to check through the social media again. She didn't know if there would be anything to really find on Hayley's account again, but it seemed to be useful in obtaining information. And there was a new post.

Saphira saw it was a red image with a silhouette of Hayley, along with nine other people, with the caption Halloween is going to be a real treat. Saphira guessed that the post was referring to Halloween. She shivered, knowing that the Halloween animatronics were right. She decided to stop looking at Hayley's social media account for a while, as it was best not to. But Saphira knew that if Hayley did come here, she would likely die.

Though I do hope that it is slow and painful for what she has put me through.

Saphira heard Springtrap's footsteps walking back to the office, and she smiled as she watched the window. She saw him walking by, and she was surprised to see Bonnie behind him. Bonnie was holding something in his hands. She was surprised as she didn't know what he had. She doubted it was some cakes, as Toy Chica would need some time to make the hot chocolate, and she had assumed that the cakes would come with it.

When the animatronics walked into the room, she saw Bonnie was holding crutches. She gasped loudly as she stared. "Where did you get them? I thought we didn't have any."

"Well, we didn't. These were in Lost and Found." That was even more surprising. Bonnie looked at the crutches carefully for any damage. "I knocked them off when I was helping the others fix up the dining room, and I didn't even know they were there, but I think they can be yours now. You will need them for that ankle."

Saphira could not help but think that was a coincidence, but she was glad to have them anyway. "Good. That is going to make life a bit easier. Let me try them." She reached out her hands as Bonnie brought the crutches over to her and she placed them under her arms, and realized they were too long. Luckily they could be adjusted. "I don't suppose you remember seeing any guest with crutches, Bonnie?"

"Yeah, there has been quite a few." Bonnie didn't seem to think it was strange like Saphira did, so he wasn't suspicious. "It is a surprise that a pair of these ended up in Lost and Found, but people do leave weird things behind at times. Most gets thrown out anyway, so these would have been thrown out too. Luckily, I found them."

That at least explained it a bit. Once she had adjusted the crutches, Saphira held them under her arms, using them to help herself out of the chair. She smiled as she was comfortable and began to test by moving around. She wasn't used to the crutches, so she was slow as she moved around the room, getting used to them. She was satisfied that the crutches would be good to use at least, so that was a bonus.

She turned to Bonnie with a smile as she sat back down on the chair. "Thanks, Bonnie. These will be good. The sprain should heal after a few days anyway, so I'll be fine." Saphira placed the crutches on the desk and looked back at the animatronics. "So will Toy Chica bring her hot chocolate, Springtrap? And what cake did you choose to eat?"

Bonnie looked at Springtrap in surprise. "You're having cake?"

Springtrap nodded. "Yeah. Saphira didn't want to be the only one to eat cake. She wants be to eat with her." Bonnie tilts his head slightly and smiled, pleased to hear that. "And yes, Saphira, Toy Chica is currently working on making you a hot chocolate. Is dark hot chocolate, okay? She assumed the richer flavor might be your preference at the moment."

Saphira was immediately excited about dark hot chocolate. "That actually sounds wonderful! It will go well with a cake too! But you didn't tell me what flavor cake you are having, Springtrap. Are you getting chocolate, vanilla, strawberry…coffee?"

The animatronic chuckled softly. "I went with chocolate. I have found chocolate is my sweet tooth now. I thank you for introducing it to me."

"You're welcome."

Bonnie stepped backwards, he still had a smile on his face. "I'll leave you both alone. I need to keep helping the others with the clean up, and keep an eye on our new friends. They're eating the older bodies we have…and we probably are going to be out. But I know we will have trespassers tomorrow night. We always do every Halloween."

Saphira did not know if that was a good thing or bad thing, but that didn't matter. So long as the new animatronics were fed. They probably would have needed it. "I guess they were fine with eating that. But…they had another reason to want to kill me."

"Yes…we have learned that." Bonnie turned to walk out of the room to leave the two alone. "Jack-O-Freddy is actually having a deep conversation with Fredbear right now. I have no idea what he saying, but it think Jack-O-Freddy really wants to help. The other three still seem unsure. But with time, I am sure they will be okay."

"I believe that too. And thanks for the crutches." The blue animatronic nodded with a smile before he walked away, leaving Saphira and Springtrap alone. Saphira looked at Springtrap and saw he was staring at the window sadly. "So…" He turned his head as she began to speak to him. "Since I can't really do much but sit, what do you think we should do? Do you want to paint, play Checkers or watch TV?"

Springtrap pondered on what they should do. He was glad that she wanted to do something with him, and he had to think on that. "Why not Checkers? I've played it a few times myself, and I'm not bad at it. Plus, I think it will be a lot of fun. I can go and get the board game."

"Checkers it is. Go and get it before Toy Chica shows up, and we can enjoy our cakes while we play."

Springtrap nodded as he turned to step out of the room before he suddenly shouted to Bonnie to get the Checkers board. Saphira giggled as she was amused he had gone for a convenient way to get the board game. And that was okay, because having him here made her happy. She watched him as he walked back in, and she secretly admired his body. Despite how worn he looked, and the greenish, yellow colour he had on his body, she couldn't help but feel attracted to him. His personality is what has hooked her. And she longed to open her heart to him. And having Springtrap in her bedroom while she slept was certainly something that might keep her up. But it still made her happy, especially since she didn't know what tomorrow was going be like, aside from more pain.
