It had been little after 4 days upon it's download into a new body that V1 had discovered that it actually did have Biological processes, and even less days since when it had begun to explore these by figuring that it might affect it's combat efficiency, and discovering what it was like to break a leg - which was still healing, to the machine's dismay - to what biting a cheek felt like, and, much to it's aggravation, discovering the "joy" of stubbing a toe.
It was confused when it suddenly got a report from its systems directing its attention to its Blood stores, or more accurately the slow emptying of them. While the loss of blood from its tanks was no issue (it had to run somehow, and blood was its fuel source) the discovery of why exactly this was happening was… confusing, to say the least.
Once it had begun to search for the breach in its tanks (It could be anywhere, one of the problems of having blood circulating through the body instead of a normal, centralized fuel tank) it discovered that its hand was.. Red. scarlet, even.
This was odd, but V1 noticed the issue in the form of Scarlet Drops landing on the hand. When V1 looked up to discern which part of the ceiling surely must be dripping with blood, it found no bleeding orifice on the ceiling, but did find that a warm, wet sensation was going down its face. Looking at its hand again, it noticed that the blood was coming from its nose.
Odd.
Why did humans (nevertheless refit War Machines) bleed from their nose? Wasn't this bad? Quickly wiping its hand, it ignored the leak. Maybe it would fix itself, as had many other things in its body, despite its sluggish health regeneration - it was still salty about the leg, shut up - but over the next few minutes the nosebleed (which Hakita had said was normal upon being asked) had not stopped, even if it had slowed.
The machine kept wiping its hand, and the blood would then cover it, and then the machine would wipe it again, as what else would the machine do with it? Leave it to stain his hand? It would have done so if the body still had the Lycanthrope plating (which was annoying that it was not named correctly, lycanthropes were Werewolves, not Vampires) to absorb the blood, but this thing humans called "Skin" replaced the durable steel and plating in favor of, well, nothing really. Humans were a quite fascinating if inefficient species.
After Hakita informed V1 that it had to "Just wait, it'll go away if you stop picking at it" it decided to stuff a wet napkin (squished to remove most of the water) in the source of his troubles and call it done (while it was a murder bot, it was still quite smart, and knew that if it stuffed a dry one in, it would solidify to his nose when the blood dried.)
Shortly after, the blood was dripping again. What? How? How had this not worked? V1's plans were Perfect! like that one time it told Sisyphus that he must have been happy during the whole Boulder ordeal!
Wait, no, it lost its arm for that gag. Huh, maybe not.
Regardless, the blood had not ceased dropping, and by its scans, he only had 99.81992301% left from the nosebleed! unacceptable! He'd probably run out of blood within the year if it kept up at this rate! Instead of trying anything more, he once again asked Hakita, once more getting the response of "I don't know V1, leave me alone" and having to try the tissue tactic again. Shortly after, the bleeding had stopped, and V1 continued on with its day, now knowing that its body just occasionally drains itself. Joy. next thing you know, it thought, Humans would just drain a portion of blood once a month.
Boy did it enjoy the day it found that factoid out.
