"Who knew waving and smiling could be so tiring?" Adrien yawned, as Marinette unlocked the door to their apartment. They had been invited as Ladybug and Cat Noir to ride on one of the winter floats, and now were exhausted.
"Not to mention we had to chase someone down the block because they wanted to check the cheese sales at Leo's," Marinette glared at Plagg. Plagg glared back as he shoved a piece of cheese in his mouth. "Hey, you run down to the nearest Starbucks each morning. I should be able to do the same with cheese!" "You just better be good till Christmas, or you'll find coal in your stocking."
"Coal?" Plagg mumbled, and Marinette giggled. "Its like a black rock you heat up, Plagg. And even though you were naughty, you look so cute with your cheeks stuffed, looking like a hamster!" Marinette cooed, and picked up Adrien's Kwami, snuggling him to her cheek.
"You humans are strange. Heating up rocks, ha! I've already seen the cave people do it. I thought you'd be a little more civilized." "Would a large pizza with extra cheese and lots of yummy toppings change your mind?" "Your the best Guardian ever!" Plagg yelled.
"And I'm the sleepiest Cat Noir ever. Can I have a cat-nap?" "How about some hot chocolate to wake you up? Just let me order the pizza." "Yes, Bugaboo." "Blech, you two love each other sooo much!" Plagg stuck out his tongue. "Come on, Plagg. Let's give them a break," Nikki tugged at Plagg's arm.
"Break," Adrien said, slowly, as Marinette got out the ingredients. "Oh no," she groaned. Even without the catsuit, Adrien loved to pun and make jokes. "Give me a break, give me a break, give me a break of that Kit Kat bar!"
"Cat Noir has his own chocolate line?" Nikki gasped, zooming back into the kitchen immediately. "No, Nikki. A Kit Kat is an American candy bar. See what you started?" Marinette hissed. "What, meow?" Adrien grinned, then dodged a wooden spoon.
The pizza was devoured when it arrived, and soon everyone was yawning. "Show me the feather bed," Marinette groaned, plopping down on her bed, now clad in pajamas. "Wait a minute," Adrien narrowed his eyes. "Feathers? I shan't be able to sleep a wink if my eyes come across one feather."
"At least we won't be able to hear you snore," his wife sang. "Why you…" Adrien gasped. "Bugaboo."
A pillow fight followed, the Kwamis dived to their hiding spot. Once the fight had settled down, silence greeted them. "Are they okay?" Plagg asked, trying not to be to concerned.
"Their perfect," Nikki whispered. "For they have finally fallen asleep."
"Sugarplums," Adrien muttered in his sleep. "Coffee," Marinette mumbled. "Its going to be a long winter's night," Plagg whispered.
