In the middle of the mountains, our merry band hits the slopes. Whether on skis or snowboard, our friends are having the time of their lives. While some are content to zigzag through the snow, the most daring attempt the most perilous tricks, including our two heroes, who are far ahead of the rest.

- Sonic: Hey Mario! Watch this!

Riding his snowboard, Sonic takes advantage of a bump and pulls off a great trick. Right behind him, Mario, who prefers skis, gets ready.

Mario notices Wario and Waluigi. They seem to be plotting something, as usual. You never know what to expect with those two.

- Mario: What are you up to now? By the way, I'm surprised you and Waluigi agreed to come to the mountains with us...

- Waluigi: I assure you we're not up to anything fishy. We just want to improve our skiing skills!

- Wario: Oh, why so cruel? I'm disappointed in you!

Mario raises his eyes to the sky. Suddenly, Blaze announces:

- Yoshi: Yoshi Yoshi! (I'm starving!)

At once, everyone heads for the village. Wario and Waluigi, who have stayed at the back of the group, talk in hushed tones.

- Wario: Phew, that was close! I really thought Mario was going to suspect something!

- Waluigi: So... you're sure of what you're saying?

- Wario: Don't tell me you doubt me too! I'm telling you there's gold hidden in that mountain! And believe me, when it comes to money, my sources are reliable!

Mario looks at the flyer. He seems to like the idea.
