Hello everyone! How are you? I hope you're all having a wonderful holiday season!

So, I have to say personally I'm not a big fan of the whole "Wes is Sky's dad!" Thing because of three reasons: 1. We see in Sky's flashback that his mum has blonde hair, and Jen isn't blonde. 2. It would mean Wes is dead. and 3. I think they just used whatever suit they had available.

I don't mean to sound angry and hateful towards the theory, but personally I don't see it. But props to you if you do believe it!

On that note, since it's the holiday season. I had this idea, so enjoy!

IMPORTANT: I do NOT own Power rangers, or else I would've changed a lot of things!

Christmas Baby

By T.J.Lightspeed5

~December 24th, 2010 09:52pm~

Wesley Collins was finally just settling down preparation for one of the biggest holidays in the world tomorrow, and he was definitely very excited for it!

It doesn't matter that he's in his early 30s now, he always got excited for Christmas! It was his favourite holiday, he loves giving out and receiving presents, and spending time with family.

'Family.' That thought warmed his heart to as warm as his hot cocoa was right now. That was the most important thing to him, family.

He felt a smile tug at his lips when the thought about his family, and the thought that any day now, it will expand by one.

That's right, any day now, he'll become a father.

That fact made him nervous, now that his child could come any day, and at any time. That made him nervous. He didn't know what to do or expect, he didn't want to screw anything up. Not for him, for the baby, or for his wife, Jen.

He still couldn't believe that he managed to marry the Jennifer Scotts (well, Jennifer Collins now). He fell head over heels for her when he first laid his eyes on her. He had little to no clue why back then, but she had hated him when they first met, but, something just attracted him to her. Luckily for him, Jen felt the same way towards him over time.

Even after she'd left with the majority of their friends back to the year 3000 after they had created peace with Ransik and the mutants in 2001. It had broken his heart to see the love of his life leave him behind.

But then, the next year afterwards in 2002, they managed to see each other again when mutant-org monsters had risen and threatened the human race again.

Sure they'd confessed their feelings towards each other just under a year before that, but that time they got to spend time with each other comfortably knowing that they loved each other.

It seemed like love was in the air that night, seeing as Wes' best friend Eric, someone who was cold and a bit arrogant, had found love with a firey yellow eagle called Taylor.

The difference between now and 8 years ago was funny to him. Back then he would've never thought Eric would become a dad and husband, never mind doing that before him!

Regardless, he's just happy life is going wonderfully right now. Eric had two kids, twins, Nova and Norman. Wes couldn't wait for his kid to be born so his best friend's kids would have a new playmate.

He was laying on his bed having all these thoughts, staring at the clock. Jen was downstairs making herself a snack, that didn't surprise him. Ever since she got pregnant she's always hungry, it wasn't a bad thing, but he found it interesting that now Jen was craving foods that are out of her comfort zones. Jen herself was quite a beige eater, someone who had certain foods she liked and stuck to them.

His mind wondered back to his child yet-to-be born. He and Jen didn't find out the gender since they wanted to keep it a surprise for themselves, and their loved ones. He glanced over to the tiny crib in the room that would be where their child would be sleeping for the first six months of their life.

Yes, he was excited for the arrival, but he was surly dreading the soon sleepless nights and constant crying soon to come with the new addition. He smiled at the thought, though. Everything comes with hard work, even the things you want. So whatever was going to happen, he'd be ready for it.

"WES!"

Jen's voice broke him out of his thought, he sat up immediately. Putting on his slippers and rushing down to where she was in the kitchen.

"Jen! Are you alright? Is everything ok!?"

Jen looked down at her stomach, it's been the bane of her existence for a few months now.

Yes, she loved the idea of it. But the practicality? Not so much. She could hardly get up by herself for tie her shoe laces, her stomach was constantly getting in her way, but least it made a good table if she was lounging on the couch.

"I think... my water broke." Jen had to lean over the counter to support herself while taking deep breaths as contractions had started to get a bit more consistent. It was painful, she'd never experienced something like that before. "And my contractions..."

Wes was not expecting that. There was a small chance that his kid would be born on Christmas Eve, but there was a higher chance they'd be born on Christmas Day!

He quickly rubbed Jen's lower back, just trying to help her through the pain. He didn't want to admit it in front of her, but he was nervous as hell. More nervous than he was actually facing Ransik for the first time.

"Alright. Alright... ok. We've got this, we know what to do..." Wes tried to remember what Eric and Taylor had told them about the labour process.

It's most important to make sure Jen was alright first, and to make her feel somewhat comfortable. Which he was already (hopefully) doing. Luckily Jen had convinced him to keep the hospital bags in the car, it was handy in a situation like this.

"Ok, let's get you into the car, alright?" Wes gently had helped her up, and away into the car. He'd never seen her in this much pain, and it was showing on her face quite clearly.

"Alright." Jen agreed, speaking through her gritted teeth. She took a moment to gather herself completely. But when she did, she just had her mind and complete focus on getting to the hospital.

~ December 24th, 2010 11:52pm~

They got admitted into the hospital just a few short minutes ago. It was starting to feel very real now. They were practically the only ones in the ward, most likely because many people aren't born on Christmas Day, or Eve for that matter. It was odd, for some reason they'd expected more people to be here, but oh well. Who were they to complain about a bit more peace and quiet?

Wes stood right beside Jen as she laid in the hospital bed, just holding her hand and stroking the side of her head. He just wanted to be there for her, and make sure she knew she wasn't alone.

As it slowly creeped towards midnight, the thought settled upon the couple that their child would most likely, no. Will certainly be born on Christmas Day.

"You still think we're having a boy?" Wes asked in the gentlest tone he had. He wanted to keep the love of his life feeling more relaxed and soothed rather than anything else in this situation.

"Yeah." Jen squeezed Wes' hand whenever she went through a contraction.

The contractions were slowly inching closer and closer together, which she had read she's nearing the pushing stage. It was getting scary now, she didn't know what was going to happen, she hated when she didn't know what to expect. Anything can happen during labour and that was the most frightful part of the process. But, at least she had Wes here with her. She was very thankful for that.

"How about you?" She pondered back to him, just trying to distract herself from the pain.

"I'm still not sure, but I think I'm teetering more towards a boy as well. But I don't know, it mostly teeters in between both sides." Wes honestly responded to her.

Regardless of what gender their child will be, they'll be very loved. The minutes had seemed to speed up and slow down, like an odd river.

The nurses came in and out of the hospital room every couple of minutes, seeing as the two were practically the only ones here. It was weird. He was told that it's usually bustling, but he was grateful at least Jen will be kept a close eye on.

Soon, it came to just a minute until the clock would strike midnight, and it would finally be Christmas. So when it does hit midnight, he'll be sure to be extra smiley this Christmas, because he has so much to be happy about this year.

He held Jen's hand and watched the clock simultaneously, switching in between the two, and when the clock finally he looked over at Jen and said...

"Merry Christmas, Jen."

~ December 25th, 2010 12:00am~

Jen looked at him with a small smile and chuckle following. She likes seeing his eyes sparkle the moment the clock struck midnight. She leaned up a little and gave him a gentle kiss on the lips.

"Merry Christmas, Wes."

Her smile grew with his, she held his hand, squeezing it whenever a contraction came along. She was scared, but whenever she looked at him, she felt like everything was going to be ok. She adored that about him, how he always made everything feel like it's going to be alright. It's a hard-to-find quality to find in someone, but she's glad she found it in Wes.

She soon laid back down in the hospital bed. Everything ached, she felt a bit drowsy from having the epidural. She looked outside the hospital room door to see the nurses hanging around the nurses station with smiles and giggles flooding around them. She went back to staring at the ceiling, wondering what the nurses were talking about.

Soon enough she turns to Wes with a question. "Have you told the others we can't make it to Christmas dinner?"

"I've sent a text, but they're all sleeping." Wes looked down at his phone again. "Oh, nope. Eric's awake."

"Let me guess, Nova?" Jen started

"Took his sunglasses, yes. Yes she did." Wes finished with a chuckle. Eric's kids were cute, but bundles of mischief whenever they wanted to be.

"Think you'll like the sunglasses we got her?" Wes showed her the picture of Nova with Eric's sun glasses on.

Jen couldn't help but to laugh a bit, Nova was adorable, looked a lot like Taylor, just with Eric's black hair and dark eyes. The young child definitely was mischievous, likes to swipe things when you're not looking. It was annoying but adorable. "Oh she definitely will."

It's time, the moment he and Jen have been waiting for. All those 9 months have all been leading up to this very moment. The moment their child will be born.

Wes was right by Jen at every single moment during the pushing process. He held her hand, squeezing it from time to time to reassure her, as well as stroking her hair and kissing her forehead or temple.

"You've got this, you can do this." Wes encouraged Jen.

Jen nodded, her main focus was just to have her baby. She was balls out terrified, if she was being totally honest, this was probably the scariest thing she's ever done in her life. Mainly because she didn't know how to do it.

Jen was just on autopilot in reality, doing everything the midwives and Doctor are telling her too. She's kicked into overdrive, she just wants her baby in her arms now, and she'll do anything to get that.

These were tense moments, a million things running through her head, and yet she was listening to none of them. None of the millions of thoughts in her head were important to her, the most important thing in the world to her right now was preparing to meet her child for the first time.

These moments felt really, really long. She was getting more impatient now, but she understood that things like this take time. But she was getting impatient now.

Finally, after what seemed like forever, a baby's cry filled up the room just as a light would in the night sky. Finally, it was over. 9 months of her belly constantly being nauseous and fatigued were over, and now she finally had her baby.

Wes immediately had tears of joy in his eyes, his emotions were all over the place. It was a mix of pure joy and anxiousness really. He held Jen's hand and stroked the side of her head. He was proud of her, very proud of her.

"You did an amazing job." He told her gently while gently squeezing her hand. He didn't care about how sweaty, or how messy her hair was. She's still the most beautiful woman in the world to him.

"It's a girl!" A midwife proclaimed, gently motioning Wes over to cut the cord.

Wes was torn, he wanted to go cut the cord, but at the same time he wanted to stay with Jen. He noticed Jen motion him to go cut the cord, and that's what he did.

He was awestruck when he saw his daughter for the first time. She was just a few moments old, and already she was quite beautiful.

He felt bad when she started crying when he cut her cord, but he was glad to know she was ok.

"She's so beautiful." He murmured into the air, holding out his thumb for the baby to grab, which she did. That tugged at his heart strings, filling his heart with even more warmth and love than it already had in it.

He couldn't believe it, it didn't feel real, but it was. He had a daughter now, he was a father. It was all a Christmas miracle, really.

"Happy birthday." Wes murmured gently to the small bundle, stroking her cheek "and merry Christmas, little one."

The baby was swaddled up into a cozy little bundle of joy by a midwife, who then proceeded to gently pick the child up and place her on Jen's arms.

As soon as the baby was placed on her chest, Jen practically had hearts in her eyes. The baby was so tiny and adorable, so much so you'd do anything to protect it, and that's what she was going to do. Protect her child with her very own life if need be.

"Hi... oh hi sweetheart." Jen murmured softly as she gently rubbed her daughter's back to help sooth her, and it worked.

Her heart just felt so full of love, like everything else in the world didn't matter to her, just her little baby.

Wes and Jen just stayed where they were, just admiring the child that they had just brought into the world.

Wes looked outside the window and caught a glimpse of snow beginning to small. He couldn't smile any more than he was even if he wanted to. "Looks like it'll be a white Christmas this year."

Jen nodded and looked outside too. She just kept smiling, just having a moment in her blissful haze after hours, even months of worrying.

"Alright folks, do we have a name for your new bundle?" One of the midwives came over with a notepad and pen, waiting to hear the name of the baby for the birth certificate.

Jen and Wes both looked at each other in a quick moment of panic. In all their months of preparation, they still couldn't agree on a name, especially a name for a girl.

"I- um... Her name is... well..." Wes looked over to Jen for a moment, both just trying to come up with a name for their daughter.

"Well... It's uh- Claire!"

"Klaire with a K!"

"With a K!" Jen repeated Wes, they both looked at each other with uncertainty. But the name Klaire (with a K) clicked with them, there was just some unspoken aura around them that loved that name.

The midwife nodded and wrote down the name. "Interesting, I haven't heard the name Klaire spelt with a 'K' instead of 'C'. Ah well, it's not the oddest name I've heard." The midwife looked up, continuing on. "And does little Klaire have a middle name?"

This time, Wes and Jen looked at little Klaire, before looking at each other and nodding. At the same time they both responded with a middle name they both nonchalantly agreed on.

"Noelle."

~ December 25th, 2010 9:22am~

It's been a few hours since little Klaire blessed the world with her presence. She was cozily swaddled up in the hospital bassinet right next to her mother. She was very little, and yet already one of the biggest miracles in the world (to Wes and Jen at least)

Jen couldn't help but to watch her sleeping child in the bassinet right next to her, she couldn't peel her eyes away from the precious bundle she'd just brought into the world a few hours ago.

However one small thought doted to her, and that was the fact that her daughter was an anomaly in the time stream.

After all, Klaire was born with a mother from the 3000's, and a father from the 2000's. She was sure it would bring up complications later on, but for know she wanted to keep her focus solely on her family, and the holiday season.

She still couldn't believe that her daughter was born on one of her favourite days of the year, it was like it was fate for it to happen.

She didn't regret not finding out the gender, she liked the surprise element of it. She knew it sounded bad, but it was like an extra surprise, like the ones you'd find in a child's toy.

Jen reached in and slowly stroked Klaire's cheek, causing a few little sounds to come from Klaire before she fell right back asleep.

Klaire was so cute and tiny, but a healthy 6 pounds, 9 ounces and 49cm. She was very light, almost as light as a feather. And it was the most adorable thing Jen had ever witnessed in her entire life.

Klaire wasn't even a day old, yet she resembled Wes in many ways already. She had the blonde hair, the loving personality and the ability to sleep everywhere. She was practically just a miniature version of Wes.

Wes checked his phone and saw that everyone he sent the message to last night had seen and responded to it, with his dad being the only one who'll be coming up to see the baby.

Soon enough, Klaire started to fuss. It wasn't because she was hungry, or needed to be changed. No, it's because she wanted to be held.

Wes picked her up, and was able to calm her down. He hadn't stopped smiling since the moment he first saw her. He just kept thinking about grateful he was just be here. With the woman he loves, and now their baby.

He wondered over next to the window, and it was still snowing away. He just figured that he'd let Klaire see the snow, even if she didn't know what it was. It was just nice to hold her.

"How's she liking the snow?" Jen asked as she readjusted herself to sit up on the hospital bed.

"She's so excited that she fell asleep again." Wes chuckled gently, pressing a small kiss to Klaire's forehead before gently settling her back down in the hospital bassinet.

Jen couldn't help but to smile at that. "Who would've thought we'd spend the holidays in the hospital?"

"Certainly not me." He sat down in the chair beside the hospital bed, and just held her hand. "How are you feeling?"

"Still sore, but a little better than earlier."

Wes nodded, he didn't doubt that Jen was hurting after what he saw last night, and he very much applauded her for everything she's done, and for being a strong person during all of that.

The two talked for a while, mostly just talking about their new bundle of joy, and how their friends and family would react to the new addition.

Eventually, Wes' dad had shown up to meet his granddaughter.

"Dad!" Wes smiled and got up to hug his father, he was excited to show off his new bundle of joy to his father.

"Wes." Mr. Collins greeted his son to a smile, he hugged Wes back before hugging Jen. "How are you two feeling?"

"Ah, fine, fine." Wes perched back on the seat right next to Jen, while Jen picked up Klaire.

"Would you like to hold her?" Jen offered her father-in-law, who was eager to take the offer up.

"Yes, yes please." Mr. Collins picked up his grandchild, just holding her and taking in the beautiful sight before him. "She already looks a lot like you, Wes. Practically identical to you when you were a baby."

Wes shyly nodded, but continued his smile. He took a picture of his father and his child together, he wanted something to make him remember this very moment.

Mr. Collins nodded, he was fine with the picture being taken, it was another memory he'll treasure, just meeting his granddaughter was a feeling he couldn't describe. It was all a million things all at once, but he couldn't find the correct words to describe it all.

Although, one question came to mind, he looked up at his son and daughter-in-law. "What's her name?"

Jen nodded, she figured that this would be an obvious question people with all ask. "Klaire."

"With a K." Wes added on.

"With a K?" Mr. Collins raised an eyebrow, he'd never heard of the name Klaire spelt with a 'K' instead of a 'C'.

"Yep."

"Why?" Mr. Collins didn't mean it in a bad way, he just wanted to know why the little bundle in his arms was named that way.

Jen and both looked at each other with a nod, they spoke at the same time. "We panicked."

A course of small chuckles echoed around the room as all three adults in the room set their gaze on the little Christmas miracle in her grandfathers arms.

The snow falling outside just made the place feel more cozy, even if it was just a plain hospital room. Everything just came together nicely as a finishing peace, like a bow does to a nicely wrapped presents. It was beautiful, it was perfect, and...

It was a true Christmas miracle.

Also, keep don't even know where the name Klaire came from. It's a mystery for all! Haha!
