So we defeated Shaddiq yippee kay yay, and we were able to kick-start our company. And if I knew that I would have to sacrifice my two supposed favourite things. My beauty sleep and ability to swear at my bastard of a father. No I have to bend down to his will like a obedient doll he wants me to be. At least now I am free from his control of picking me a fiancé and im stuck with two airheads. Ah who cares? Journals are private and I can write here whatever I want! I wouldn't pick anyone else as people I would want to spend the rest of my life with. Well, Yursula would be a good candidate but it's been months since we last talked with each other. I should call her, anyways. As I'm writing this im sitting in a shuttle awaiting landing, my first business trip as a ceo. And spend my time reading death threats that keep landing in my PO box from Fangirls and Fanboys pissed that I "claimed" their beloved Demon Incarnate, thank god Suletta isn't a famous pilot or an actress because cleaning that spam is a pain in the ass. But I do like that feeling of jealousy when every girl or woman that looks at me. At least there I get some of my pride back. And I'll probably spend my Christmas break sitting in my room either working, sleeping of keeping up with schoolwork, because where would I go spend my free time? To my old man? CHAPTER 12: CHRISTMAS BELLS IN THE DISTANCE
"So Marsboy, how's it going?"-Secelia asked sitting on couch alongside Ryouji as Akatsuki was currently overlooking the duel between Katma and some other group of students. And the bags under his eyes made it clear it wasn't going well for him. Akatsuki let out a moan as he turned back towards her
"78 late assignments, 17 hours face buried in books, four hours of sleep. And several demi trainer and mobile worker practice exams. All in span of two weeks, two agonizing and sleepless weeks"-Akatsuki said as Secelia chuckled from all the melodrama he seemed to put onto his situation
"Im sure it wasn't that bad!"-Secelia said as Akatsuki turned back towards her with a raised eyebrow
"Trust me, It was that bad"
Akatsuki stood over the teacher's desk as he was currently checking over the stash of papers and notepads Akatsuki had delivered for him. The young Holder looked nervous as a teacher with poker face was looking over what he had delivered, unbeknownst to him the teacher was surprised he was able to deliver almost a month of late assignments and homework in only a day. But he could also see that his student wasn't paying too much attention as he seemed to be close falling asleep standing on his legs
"Mister Augus"-The teacher snapped him back to attention as Akatsuki immediately jolted up in attention
"Teacher?"-Akatsuki asked as the teacher sighed
"I see you listened to my warnings of not passing and managed to turn in all your work, congratulations. It will be graded and your results will arrive on your notebook, you may leave and return to your tasks"-The teacher said as Akatsuki walked out of the classroom taking out his notebook and looking over the list of things he was supposed to do today
TURN IN THE LATE ASSIGNMENTS-CHECK
"And you're dead!"-Katma exclaimed sitting inside of the Kuiper's cockpit shooting off the antenna of her last attacker before landing on the ground. 'and that's the sixth duel in a row, im having too much fun right now'-she thought as meanwhile Akatsuki was handling though the post-duel clean up procedures.
"Right, all suits return to your transporters! Ryouji, send clean-up crews and run diagnostics throughout the area"-Akatsuki said as Ryouji followed though his orders deactivating the holographic battlefield with several Haro drones flying in scanning throughout the area searching for any damage
"Area 11 received a little to none damage, I've already contacted the House's cleaning crews"-Ryouji explained as Akatsuki nodded before an alarm on his notebook begun to ring, and his eyes widened in fear as he immediately jolted towards his bag before jumping over the couch not caring a bit about Secelia's clapping
"Gotta go! Ryouji! I leave everything to you!"-Akatsuki said rushing away from the committee room as Secelia turned confused towards her small companion
"What's with him?"-Secelia asked as Ryouji looked over club activities that were happening right now before finding one that had his student number, and as he gave his notepad to Secelia a grin appeared on his face
"He's searching for new hobbies! I wonder for how much towels covered in his sweat will go for?"-Secelia asked herself as Ryouji only sighed continuing his work
Akatsuki tied the shoelaces of his running shoes before taking a look of himself in the locker room's mirror. He was wearing the Holder variant of the Asticassia's PE uniform, made out of a pair of white shorts made from a material similar to swimming shorts and a sleeveless white shirt with small logos of the school residing on the right sides of the garments. All topped off with a pair of blue red running shoes provided to him by his sponsors from Converse, of course not everyone would think that their running shoes could be compared to shoes from Nike or Adidas. But obligations were obligations and hey, free shoes. And now Akatsuki was on his way to begin his trail for the school track-running team, since Barbatos was currently undergoing repairs back on Mars and according to his father everything will be a surprise with the only question to him being how much he weight, how tall he was and how much his head measured. So he had nothing to wait or expect for, that's why he decided to try out some sports teams that were residing in the school. Since his future "father-in-law" was a military veteran of course he would put the physical condition of his students in high priority. Henceforth an entire area of school devoted solely to sports. With numerous pitches and fields for sports like football, basketball and even an entire cooled-down room devoted for ice hockey. Of course the school had few teams that consisting of pilots, mechanics and management strategy students were competing with other schools in their favourite sports. But Akatsuki's destination was somewhere else. And that was the Asticassia's Track-and-field stadium designed to host competitions between schools. Ever since he was a young kid he would get involved with various sports. Of course in the first place he was always putting martial arts and swordsmanship, managing to win few local tournaments in Karate, Aikido and Kendo, but he also enjoyed a brief time as a runner in middle school. But after his piloting career kicked into the high gear he was slowly loosing time for sports, barely managing to achieve his dream of attaining 9th dans in Karate and Aikido and 8th in Kendo, only achieving the last one because the Martian Kendo Association saw that he was using Kendo techniques while piloting. And now that he had free time he could finally return to running, since Martial Arts clubs weren't a thing. As he walked up to the door holding his bag and a bottle of water he took a long breath in
"Let's go"- Akatsuki said walking out of the locker room and stepping onto the material of the crimson runway and taking a breath of fresh air. He took a look to see with who he was competing for a spot. Few boys and girls wearing the regular version of the PE uniform of all departments and classes. First, second and third-years from all the houses standing and competing for the same team. And just as he lined up with the others the familiar face of the PE teacher appeared wearing an Asticassia's track-and-field sweat suit. She was a young adult in her early 20s with light acorn short hair and black eyes, but she was known for something else, and that were her "assets" that many male students talked about. In all his obliviousness Akatsuki wasn't really caring about it, as long as he was able to work out during her classes he liked her
"So, you'll all decided to get your butts up from your cockpits or chairs and show something with your physique? Well it won't easy! In fact it will be hell! CEO and principal Delling was a member of the military and he gave me the requirements for the track runners, we have one spot in the main team and five for the bench sitters. But that's for later, for now it's time for warm-up"-The teacher said as the warm-up begun, Akatsuki of course wasn't complaining about the stretches, push-ups and sit-ups. In fact he thought it wasn't enough, and the teacher liked it. She liked him even though he skipped a lot of lessons due to things that were happening around him, most notably getting his arm broken. But she enjoyed how hardworking he was and how he never seemed to brag about his achievements revolving around mobile suits, only do what she told him to do. But she was surprised that he showed up. She did tell him that he had potential with various clubs. But it was always "Im sorry teach, but I have to do some committee work" or "I would love to try it out but there's a duel coming and I need to fetch up Barbatos". So it was nice that he bothered to show up, and so 45 minute of warm-up passed as all the students were called up by the teacher
"Right, now that you'll stretched and warmed up we'll begin the trails. But first, all of you please stand up on the weight machine so that there won't be any contradictions later"-The teacher said as two students wearing regular Asticassia uniform with orange armbands pulling on to the scene. And it was at this moment where he panicked, he was a full-blooded Martian born on Mars, and that meant he was way lighter than any other student. For the first few days it felt dizzy as he rarely left Mars, it was also, at least in his own mind, one of the reasons why he got K'Oed by Guel the first day. And not because he went in without a thought and few months after his last sparring session. But he watched as students were standing on the weight machine: 65, 69, 54, 72, 61, 58, 76 kilos as the machine continued to check with according to the teacher 97% accuracy.
"Ok, Akatsuki! Your turn"-The Teacher said as Akatsuki took a breath in while taking his shoes off and standing on the weight machine, and everyone was shocked to see his weight. Entire 22 kilos
"Excuse me, how much do you weight?"-The teacher asked as Akatsuki wiped the back of his head
"Last time I checked around 50 kilos, but that was on Mars. Im still not quite used to Earth-based gravity"-Akatsuki explained as the teacher looked towards other students staring at him and then towards the measured candidate. 'Damn it, on one thing he could probably clean the floor with other runners, on the second thought it would be taken as unfair by other students'-the teacher thought as Akatsuki was now confused
"Um teach?"-Akatsuki asked as the teacher turned towards him smiling
"Akatsuki, how many times I told you to call me Miss Shellie?"-The teacher said as Akatsuki nodded
"Right, miss Shellie? So can I participate?"-Akatsuki asked as Miss Shellie nodded
"What was your record in middle school for 100 meters?"-Miss Shellie asked as Akatsuki counted on his fingers
"10? 11 seconds? But that was years ago, I haven't really timed it"-Akatsuki explained as Miss Shellie nodded before pointing at the starting line
"Ok then, all of get into your position. We'll do 3 times 100 meters, the better the time you collect three times the higher in the ranking for the team place you'll be"-Miss Shellie ordered as Akatsuki nodded before lining up with 7 other students as Miss Shellie took out her starting gun and loaded it with a single bullet
"Get set!"-she added as they took their starting positions
BANG!
And with the signal the students jolted off with Akatsuki taking the lead, and while all the others were giving all they could. For him it only felt like a small jog, he could run faster being backed by his treadmill records, but for now he wanted to see if that gravity was truly that important. And it was as he crossed the line, a female student holding a stopwatch as Akatsuki stopped seeing other students catching up to him
"9.72"-the student said surprised as Akatsuki smiled. 'That felt good, now time for some water'-he thought as he walked back towards the main tribune-locker room combo to grab his water bottle before the next heat he heard a familiar voice
"Yeah! Go Akatsuki!"-Damon exclaimed from the tribunes as Akatsuki turned around to see him, Miru and Suletta sitting on a higher level. Akatsuki waved signalling them to come down to him
"Hey Damon, surprised that Renee allowed you to go see me running"-Akatsuki said jugging his water as Damon blushed
"Hey! It's not that bad! Besides I did promise her that we would go out today in the evening because she found a spot somewhere in the recreational district she wanted to go"-Damon explained as Akatsuki felt kinda sorry about his buddy's situation with his girlfriend, and what that meant for him
"You know I won't borrow you my credit card again right?"-Akatsuki said as Miru and Suletta turned towards Damon who embarrassed looked down on the ground nodding
"So what time you had?"-Miru asked as Akatsuki smiled
"9.72, could've gone faster but I didn't want to feel like a cheat based solely on my place of birth"-Akatsuki explained as Suletta immediately lit up
"Does this mean you got the spot?!"-Suletta frantically asked as Akatsuki chuckled gently patted her head smiling
"Not yet, I still have two more heats to run though. I want to see what can I do"-Akatsuki said tying his shoes before spraying a bit of water on his head to cool himself down before leaving puzzled Suletta in companionship of the siblings
"You think he can do it?"-Suletta asked as Miru laughed
"Of course he can! When he was five he could jump over two adult men! If you move forward and gain two, he runs forward and gains four. Just look and watch!"-Miru explained as Damon walked off being on the call with someone, probably Renee, 100% chance it was Renee.

The sound of the starting gun echoed throughout the area frightening Suletta as the runner candidates once again jogged off
"See? He leaves them in dust! To be fair lower Martian gravity does help a lot. But he did put quite a lot of times in middle school where gravity wasn't a playing factor"-Miru explained as Suletta watched Akatsuki crossed the finish line, once again in first. And that repeated one more time before he walked up to the leader board to see results, and much to no surprise he found himself in first. And while he was thinking about whether or not was it fair or not he didn't notice other students being visibly pissed off and whispering among themselves. Akatsuki then walked up to his bag and wiped himself with his towel
"So, how is it?"-Suletta asked as Akatsuki smiled
"Number 1 spot, that's nice"-Akatsuki said as Miss Shellie waved at him to come to her, he nodded before putting down his towel and walked up towards her
"Congratulations, you earned your spot, I've sent all the training regimen for you during the Christmas break and the team meet-ups for the next term"-Miss Shellie explained shaking his hand
"Thank you Miss Shellie, but I need to go now. I have things that I need to catch up with"-Akatsuki explained as he jolted off waving goodbye before running back to Miru and Suletta
"So, im hitting the showers and we're heading back to the Earth House? And where is Damon?"-Akatsuki asked as Miru pointed at her brother sighing
"Renee is on his ass again, I do kinda feel sorry for him"-Miru said as Akatsuki sighed
"Ah come on, we should support him no matter who is dating. That's what siblings do"-Akatsuki said as Miru nodded in agreement. After a quick shower the quartet begun their slow walk back towards the Earth House, it was already around 1700 hours and school subjects for the day were over, and that meant Akatsuki for the first time in two weeks could finally relax
"So Suki, why track running in the first place?"-Suletta asked as Akatsuki turned towards her
"I told you that I was searching for new hobbies, since Barbatos is on Mars I not only lack a suit that I could duel with, although that's rare considering the challengers list is shining with emptiness. Not only that but the loss of the simulator is also a pain in the ass, where am I supposed to train now? But It also gives me a lot of free time for things I had to abandon for piloting. Like track running and long training sessions"-Akatsuki explained as Suletta nodded
"I do kinda feel the same way with the Aerial, since she was sent for repairs I don't really know what to do with my free time, I also have duels but those were postponed. And Miorine is currently on a business trip so aside from school work the only responsibility I hold is the greenhouse"-Suletta explained as Miru chimed in
"Ah come on! Think of it as a break from all the duels! I mean look at you both, first day and you both kick a guy's ass, second Suletta kicks another guy's ass, Akatsuki barely manages to send Stellaris packing, breaking his arm in the process. And now we kicked Shaddiq's and his Grassley Cocksleeves asses"-Miru exclaimed as Damon looked at her with a risen eyebrow
"No worries im not talking about your Girlfriend, even though she will probably dump you a month or two from this day, just don't come to me crying! Continuing, now that CEO Miorine spends her time traveling throughout the Inner Rim we can now focus on getting those new leg prosthetics fully operational"-Miru finished as Damon joined the conversation
"Isn't the boss-lady coming back today? We sit on our asses and try to get those prosthetics working while she does PR, besides we signed in for Mobile Suit testing right? If we will continue to move at such a sluggish state by the time we will uncover the first suit by GUND-ARM Inc. Akatsuki will find 100 additional wifes and win two more Galaxias"-Damon said as Akatsuki blushed before Suletta turned towards him
"Designing a prosthetic seems a lot harder than building a flight unit or designing a suit, Nika works day and night on the blueprints. We build Gundams to save lives, it's a small step but it will bring us closer to a full-fledged Mobile Suit. At least I hope so"-Suletta said as Damon sighed a bit
"I do understand the premise, but imagine that. We build a state of the art suit that destroys Aerial in performance, key problem, it lacks any weapons. And so our dear CEO sells them to a group of rich people. Somehow their mechanics manage to reverse engineer the technology and manage to shove in all the new high-tech weaponry on the market, beam sabers, rifles, bazookas, not to mention the GUND-bits and looking at how robotic the Aiolo's bits are compared to Aerial's the chances it will plough through any Benerit, TSC or looking even deeper Gjallarhorn cultists if they are even around. What we will do with that? Sue them for technology defraudation? The first 72 were meant to save humanity from the calamity they brought onto themselves. The conflict had ended and humanity returned to plot them against themselves. The tool while meant for good things can still cause harm to others"-Damon said as Suletta was trying to find a counter argument for him before looking down
"I hate to say it, but Damon is kinda right. In fact it's obvious that sooner than later it would happen"-Miru said as Akatsuki turned back towards the siblings
"For now the key thing I want to accomplish with this company is one, and that is developing a new implant for Dad so that he could stop worry about sudden loss of power in his nervous system. Something that could allow him to live for few years on a single battery"-Akatsuki said as Suletta nodded
"Right! And that could truly lead us to something that will save lives!"-Suletta added as the siblings shared a look before nodding agreeing not take that conversation further
"We wish you a merry Christmas, we wish you a merry Christmas, we wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year!"-Lilique sang as she hung the Christmas decorations with the help of Aliya
"Um, Lilique? It's still November"-Nika asked as she was doing the post-duel analyse of the Kuiper on her notepad
"And tomorrow will be December, so the quicker we will be done with them the better. Now we should take care of the Christmas tree!"-Lilique exclaimed as got off the ladder and jolted off just as the four out of five Spacians entered the room being a bit surprised from the state the room was in
"Hey Nika, what's the big commotion?"-Akatsuki asked as Nika sighed
"Lilique decided to put all the decorations on, even though the Christmas season and break begins a week or so away"-Nika explained as all the Spacian students shared a look
"Right… Christmas, you're coming back home for the break? To Earth?"-Suletta asked as Nika looked down to the ground, there were many reasons for why she couldn't come back home. Notably that Naji forbidden her to do that before the mission ended, she missed Julietta though, and wanted to see if she liked what she did to the Kimaris or "Vidar" as she preferred to call it. But orders, although painful to carry out, were orders. She decided to quickly change the subject
"N-No! I-In fact I don't really have a place to come home, I'm an war orphan and I don't really like to come back to the foster home"-Nika explained as Akatsuki let out a yawn
"Ok, im going to rest for a while"-Akatsuki said as he made his way towards his room leaving the Earth House students as Katma walked into the room wearing a loose oversized t-shirt that covered her shorts and a towel on her head keeping her wet hair
"Hey guys! What's with Akatsuki? I heard he got the spot on the runner team"-Katma said as Suletta only looked down to the ground and then to her good luck charm
"He's just tired, he finally caught up with his school work. He needs to rest"
"Everything is killing me"-Akatsuki mumbled as he managed to land on his bed, face on the pillow. Too tired for even closing his eyes or even taking off his shoes as his feet dangled freely from his bed, after all the strain his organism had to endure for the last two weeks, for once he could lay down and do absolutely nothing. But the talk about the Christmas break made him curious about something, that he was coming home and for the first time in almost two months he could fall asleep in his own bed. So he knew what he wanted to do
"Haro, dial Mom. Put the call on camera-to-camera"-Akatsuki said as he managed to set his notebook on his pillow as the small little red eyes lit up
"Affirmative Akatsuki, dialling Mom"-Haro said as after couple of minutes the face of Atrra appeared as meanwhile millions of kilometres away she was currently sitting on the couch of the Augus family home drinking tea
"Hi Akatsuki! Oh my goodness you have bags under your eyes!"-Atrra exclaimed worried as Akatsuki's face landed back down on his bed
"That's what happens when you have to do almost a month of work in two weeks barely sleeping"-Akatsuki said as Atrra sighed before taking a look at the boxes of Christmas decorations and an artificial Christmas tree alongside a box labelled "Fumitan"
"Right, but knowing you and seeing your school reports you managed to do that and im proud of you for keeping your responsibilities in check, but im still angry about what you did with Barbatos for a SCHOOL DUEL and know well I'll make it sure the limiters will be re-installed. Speaking of school have you managed to qualify for that running team you talked with me yesterday?"-Atrra asked as Akatsuki got his head up from the bed
"Yes, in fact I managed to be faster by over a second"-Akatsuki said as Atrra clapped
"Incredible! Im so happy that you want to search for new hobbies! Well, old but buried hobbies. But still, I wanted to ask you about something"-Atrra asked as Akatsuki's tired face showed a bit of curiousness
"What's that?"-Akatsuki asked as Atrra took a deep breath knowing that the question she wanted to ask would probably make her son pass out of the lack of air.
"You're coming home for Christmas right?"-Atrra asked as Akatsuki managed to crack up a smile
"Of course! I wanted to visit for a while and the urge to eat your food instead of the Cafeteria one makes the wait more and more annoying"-Akatsuki exclaimed as Atrra blushed from the complement, but she continued
"That's great, listen, I talked with Mama and Dad, and I wanted to ask you if you will bring your fiancés home for the break?"-Atrra asked as Akatsuki blushed, the focus on his studies made him completely forget what would his fiancés do during the break. Suletta wouldn't return to Mercury because she would spend most of her break on the trip alone. Miorine on the other hand probably had her exclusive plant filled with luxuries and would spend her Christmas working in GUND-ARM Inc., her Mom was dead and she wouldn't want to spend her free time with her father even if she was tied up to a chair. It made him feel kinda bad that he would spend his Christmas looking at the smiling faces of his parents while they would be alone for a holiday where being together was key.
"I'll try to convince them, but it would be fun"-Akatsuki said as Atrra smiled at him with a childish toothy grin
"Of course it would be fun for the three of you! Dad constantly talks how he misses you helping with work, especially since now he his side-job. Not to mention the gift of maturity waiting for you in the TSC HQ, and to make you more excited I picked the model single-handily"-Atrra said as Akatsuki nodded
"Yeah, but im surprised you picked a two seater, I expected a combi or a sedan"-Akatsuki said as Atrra laughed
"I thought a car like that wouldn't fit your personality, and I didn't want to make your first car something you would be embarrassed to drive, considering how many times you borrowed my car"-Atrra said as Akatsuki blushed from embarrassment much to Atrra's amusement
"I know you'll be happy, I can't wait to meet your future wifes! I have to hang up the Christmas decorations, call me back when you talk with your fiancés. Rest and eat well, bye son!"-Atrra said closing down the call as Akatsuki put down his notebook on his bedside table before taking off his shoes and using his uniform and jacket as a make shift cover. 'I wonder what will Suletta and Miorine say?' was his final thought before falling asleep
'Dang, what hour is it?'-he thought as he got up from his bed reaching out for his notebook. '21:37, I was asleep for that short? Because I feel like I slept for a week'-he thought as he then took a look across the room he shared with Damon, and how every light was turned off aside from basic lighting led strips that were set to minimum. He slowly got up from his bed and noticed few things that made his brain go on high alert, the clothes that were laying on the floor, especially a certain white shirt. As silently as he could he peaked up towards Damon's bed to see him and Renee cuddling asleep, naked. And his suspicions were confirmed as he noticed the box of condoms on his night table. 'Damon you sly dog, but at least you could take her to a hotel instead of losing your virginity while your best friend sleeps few meters away, but first'-he thought as a little devilish grin appeared on his face noticing how Haro was lying in a different place, probably kicked by Damon to shut him off, then Akatsuki remembered what Damon did to him 6 years ago. A thought of a revenge prank came to his mind as he took out his notebook and made sure the flash was turned off and the sound was muted. 'And sent to Miru, at least I won't have to come up with an exquisite revenge plan, she can do that for me'-he thought before as silently as he could he reached out for his toiletries and pyjamas before leaving the two lovers alone, as now his main mission was to take a shower and go back to bed, maybe eat a small dinner. And so like a ghost he made his way towards the bathroom, taking a long hot water shower before settling on his traditional sleeping combo of a loose tank top and shorts. After washing his teeth he took a long look at himself in the mirror as he was combing his hair. Then he heard something that sent him on high alert. Frantic steps, presumably running. An intruder? Trying to steal the new GUND-ARM Inc. blueprints? He walked out of bathroom trying to locate the source of the steps, he runned across the Earth House hearing the steps cleared, before he managed to grab the source of the frantic running taking the intruder by the back, and realising the "attributes" the person had. It was a girl, it was a girl
"Hey! Let me go!"-Renee exclaimed as shock hit Akatsuki who quickly let go of her
"Im sorry! For god's sake why you and Damon didn't go to a hotel?!"-Akatsuki asked as Renee sighed
"Doing it while there is a chance people can hear you makes it more exiting! But yeah next time we'll play it safe"-Renee said as another frantic steps could be heard, and it was Miru wearing her night clothes, running towards them with a nailed baseball bat
"COME BACK HERE!"-Miru exclaimed as Renee without a word runned away as Miru stopped next to Akatsuki
"Damn her! Thanks for the high sight! The audacity of the man doing it in front of a sleeping person!"-Miru exclaimed as Akatsuki then looked down at her weapon
"Where did you get that?"-Akatsuki asked as Miru lifted up the bat to show it to him
"Chu gave it to me as a way to scare that Grassley skank off, she said she would do it herself but was too tired"-Miru explained as Akatsuki nodded before letting out a yawn
"Right, im going back to bed, night Miru"-Akatsuki said as Miru nodded as both retired to their rooms
"Your objective is simple, you will split off into three-person teams. You have ten minutes to find yourselves teammates, and then make your way towards the locker rooms to prepare for deployment"-The teacher said as Akatsuki immediately turned towards Miru and Damon, the girl immediately shook his hand before they turned towards Damon, who only huffed in annoyance
"Come on brother, it was your fault and admit it"-Miru said as Damon opened one of his eyes and raised his eyebrow
"YOU RUSHED AT MY GIRL WITH A BAT! And you traitor! You ratted me out!"-Damon exclaimed as Akatsuki chuckled
"That's my revenge for two things, one for kicking Haro and two for drawing a penis on my face when we were in middle school"-Akatsuki said as Damon's eyes widened
"THAT WAS SIX YEARS AGO!"-Damon exclaimed as both Miru and Akatsuki laughed
"But he did say he would get his revenge! I should've taken the photo when I barged in. I'll probably re-draw it"-Miru said Damon let out a sigh
"So, peace?"-Akatsuki asked extending his hand that was quickly taken by Damon
"Peace, and so I announced that the terrific Martian trio gets re-formed! Just please lets halt the cockpit-ripping to a minimum. Renee keeps bugging me about what you did to Maisie and Ireesha"-Damon said as Akatsuki was now confused
"I didn't want to kill them! It was just a school duel!"-Akatsuki said as he took a glance at the two out of three second-year Grassley girls, who immediately after locking eyes with the Demon Incarnate immediately hid behind Renee, who then locked eyes with her boyfriend as Akatsuki still remained confused from the entire situation. Completely missing Suletta's saddened facial expression knowing that Akatsuki had skipped her in the teammate search. That was until she felt an arm around as she looked up to see Katma
"So, you have any candidates?"-Katma asked as Suletta looked up to her
"Y-You want to be teammates with me?"-Suletta asked as Katma looked at her with confusement
"Isn't that obvious? We literally share the same room and we're in the same house, now we only need another third person since Chuchu is too busy with the first-years"-Katma said as then another arm went around Suletta's shoulder
"Iloande! I see you also share the problem of lacking a team!"-Sett exclaimed completely not paining attention to Suletta's discomfort, having two pretty girls using her as support
"Right Sett, but is I can see I don't think you have a problem with finding male teammates"-Katma said pointing at the group of horn-dog second-year students. Sett only quickly bend over towards the blonde's ear causing the Mercurian's blush to increase
"Listen, I don't want my teammates to ogle my ass and fail the exercise. And as I can see you and Augus's bride failed to find team member number three, so I'll happily join you"-Sett explained as Katma nodded
"All right, what do you think Suletta?"-Katma asked turning towards the redhead who looked at the shorthaired M/J pilot before turning back towards Katma
"If she wants to be with us, then I don't see a problem, and if you don't seem to mind I agree"-Suletta said as Sett smiled a toothiest grin possible
"Great!"
Akatsuki was overlooking the battlefield from his Demi-Trainer using his tactical binoculars, and he could admit to his teachers that the choice for this exercise was interesting, the holographic area turned into a desert, full of small craters and hills allowing the Demi-Trainers to hide. But the most interesting part of the battlefield lied in the centre, and that was something that according to their teacher was supposed to emulate a O'Neil cylinder-style colony crashed into Earth's surface. A supposedly known phenomenon as the remnants of old colonies, probably coming from the Calamity Conflict, were found by archaeologists in places like Australia
"You see anything?"-Miru asked over the comms staring at the big Gatling gun her Demi-Trainer was equipped with. Akatsuki after few seconds finally managed to locate one of the rogue Demis as the teacher's voice echoed throughout the Demi-Trainer's cockpit
"Attention! The attack team made out of: LP077, LPOR006, LPOR007. Your mission is to eliminate the opposing team made out of: LP041, LPOR002 and LPOR005. You have 10 minutes, good luck"-The teacher said as Damon opened his comms
"Excuse me teacher, but doesn't it seem kinda unfair to have to M/J veterans in the opposing team?"-Damon asked as meanwhile Akatsuki managed to locate one of the rogue Demi-Trainers as a smirk grew on his face. 'That means the others must be nearby'-he thought as the voice of their instructor echoed throughout their cockpits
"We put the teams against each other in a way that would be equal, as both feature two integration students, exercise start!"-The teacher exclaimed as Akatsuki put down his binoculars and slid down the visor I his helmet
"Right, follow me and have your eyes open!"-Akatsuki said over the comms as the three Demi-Trainers jumped in the air following their leader. Meanwhile hiding between the holographic debris Suletta increased the zoom on her screen and immediately reported
"Leader, the three rouges are coming from the South Side"-Suletta reported as Katma, the aforementioned leader was standing on top of the colony debris looking over the three incoming Demi-Trainers licking her lips. 'Strange, it seems that are rushing head-first. But that would be stupid right?'-she thought as she replied to Suletta's message
"Roger, Sett! Are you ready?"-Katma asked as meanwhile Sett stood also hidden away and holding the handheld beam rifle and a saber stick
"Yep, but question, why are the leader again?"-Sett asked as Katma sighed
"Because we agreed on it like 5 minutes ago?"-Katma asked causing Sett to laugh
"I was just teasing you a bit, right, let's go!"-Sett exclaimed as meanwhile the three attacking Demi-Trainers were set on high alert. Especially their leader who was anxiously looking at his radar, and just as two additional dots appeared he gave out his orders
"Miru! Damon! Bandits!"-Akatsuki exclaimed as the twins nodded
"So this is where we split off? Right!"-Damon said over the comms as Akatsuki flew upwards with his Demi-Trainer, before narrowly missing a shot from the top of the colony. 'There you are, but im surprised you're the leader Katma'-he thought as he fired at Katma's Demi-Trainer that dodged the fire from the beam rifle, although it wasn't as swift and smooth as it would be with the Kuiper by it was enough. The two Demi-Trainers fell though towards the ground as Akatsuki was raining Katma with beams. 'Damn it! Those Demis are so stiff! I can't believe that students think that this is an Opus Magnum of MS tech, the consequences of being raised on state-of-the-art mobile suit with three-pedal-system'-she thought as the two training suits landed on the ground as Katma looked in her suit's rear mirror camera.
"Come on Katma come on!"-Akatsuki said licking his lips firing towards Katma's suit, before increasing as much thrust as the pedals allowed him and jumped as high as his flight-pack allowed him
"Where is he?"-Katma asked as before looking upward and seeing a Demi-Trainer flying down towards her with a kick, she immediately jumped upwards as a way to counter Akatsuki's attack, the suits clashed before jumping away using each other as a ramp. In all the madness Akatsuki managed to land a hit on Katma's suit, however Akatsuki stuck in his brief and quite short euphoria didn't notice the flashing light on his HUD, signalling a hit. 'What?!'- both of them thought before managing to hide themselves behind the debris. Katma let out a small growl before raining the debris that Akatsuki was behind hiding. Akatsuki took a deep breath before yanking the yokes as hard as he could before rushing through the debris using them as shields, Katma meanwhile was quickly looking between the monitors and the HUD as the dot symbolising Akatsuki's Demi-Trainer. That was until a surge both in her mind and the radar made its appearance signalising an attack from the behind
"Hey there!"-Akatsuki exclaimed as Katma quickly dropped her rifle before grabbing the Demi-Trainer's hand and throwing it Judo style. However there wasn't really much time to take back the Rifle as Akatsuki managed to land a hit on the front camera of Katma's suit. 'Ha! Stupid strategy repaid with a great prize'- he thought before hitting the ground.
"Oh god"-Akatsuki said wiping his head from pain before getting up his Demi-Trainer from the ground as the wave of dust was flying around him. For a brief second he was staring though the cloud. That was until he was taken away by the sound of the radar, after a second Katma flew though the cloud holding her rifle, Akatsuki managed to dodge her onslaught for a brief moment before a surge of green fire hit his Demi-Trainer's shoulder. The signal echoed throughout the cockpit, Katma meanwhile aimed her rifle at the Demi-Trainer's head. But Akatsuki didn't want to get away that easily, he aimed his eyes onto the Debris closest to Katma before taking his shot causing a ruckus around her. He used that for his advantage, the Demi-Trainer dropped its rifle and took out its saber stick before rushing towards Katma, who as soon as noticing the small machine she fired her rifle at the rushing Demon. Who dodged everything as swiftly as Burion's machine allowed him to do with the bare minimum number of thrusters and manipulators, everything ended in 15 seconds. As Katma fired her final shot at Akatsuki, he already had his saber stick on the lowest power outage in Katma's Demi Trainer's shoulder. They were both out
"LPOR002, LP077 out!"-the teacher announced as both of them sighed before opening the radio channel
"Great fight"-Katma said wiping the sweat from her forehead as Akatsuki took off his helmet
"Can say the same thing to you. Even though if this was a real fight we could've probably continued it until cutting off the heads"-Akatsuki said talking into the microphone as the two Demi-Trainers made their way
"Damn it, at least fight one-on-one!"-Sett exclaimed as she was being attacked by Miru and Damon, it was going on for more than four minutes now as they had a one hit each. Sett, while being backed by the local conglomerate on Triton wasn't really used to Demi-Trainer's controls like the Turbines were.
"Miru, go front and take her attention! I'll rush her from behind and get her out! After that go after Suletta!"-Damon exclaimed though the comms as Miru smirked agreeing with her brother. She jumped in front of his Demi Trainer and rained fired upon the ground trying to lift up a massive smoke cloud as Damon jumped over the two suits and took out his saber stick, as a grin of a triumphant victory appeared on his face he felt that his saber countered and quickly disappeared, before a sound signalling that he was out emitted throughout the cockpit. Sett smirked as she flew out from the smoke cloud
"You're good, if that was someone else he would be out way earlier. But still not enough"-Sett said as she tried to find Miru, but everything ended for her as the sound In the cockpit meant she was out
"What?!"-She asked as meanwhile Miru's Demi-Trainer was softly flying in the air holding its Gatling Gun
"Sorry for coming from behind, but the mission is the mission"-Miru said over the comms before flying away trying to find Suletta, who was now sitting frantically hiding behind the debris afraid. Suletta was a great pilot, she did fly though the tunnels on mercury and spent her free time saving miners and helping with mining operations. But that was with Aerial, the Demi-Trainer while versatile was nothing compared to Aerial and how responsible she was, even lacking things like a three pedal-system compared to machines like Barbatos. Burion's suit was something that while anyone with a lot of flight hours could master it, like Chuchu. For experienced pilots like her the Demis felt stiff and kinda uncomfortable, but she had to do what she was supposed to do with the tools she was given. And if Akatsuki could beat a course record without a flight pack, she could push the attack away. So she waited
"There you are!"-Miru exclaimed firing her Gatling gun at Suletta, who managed to dodge her onuslaught without taking any damage, which surprised Miru. 'Damn, kiddie pilots are always the best, especially when they that young'-she thought as Suletta returned the fire using her beam rifle that Miru managed to dodge.
"Come on!"-Suletta exclaimed as she flew towards Miru who dropped her Gatling Gun and took out her saber stick, she took a deep breath in knowing how stupid her plan was, and increased the thrust as much as the little suit allowed her to and flew towards Suletta's Demi-Trainer who fired at Miru, who quickly dodged her attacks before quickly taking a deep breath and swallowed air. Miru sent a kick at Suletta's Demi-Trainer sending her down to the ground, but the young Mercurian wasn't going to give up that easily. She managed to land her suit down on the ground and took out her saber stick. Miru seeing that smirked and landed down on the ground
"So, it's down to us girls right? So, one-on-one honourable style? No ranged weapons?"-Miru asked over the comms as Suletta smiled and took her battle stance
"Remember, Suki taught me how to use a sword"-Suletta said as Miru smirked
"Well, im sure you can handle a sword with Aerial. But how about a Demi?"-Miru asked as Suletta took a deep breath in
"Maybe"-She replied as she rushed towards Miru's Demi-Trainer clashing their saber sticks before Suletta sent a kick towards her opponent. Knocking Miru's stability away, however she quickly managed to get back up, Suletta hasn't allowed her to rest as she quickly managed to tap each of her shoulder with her saber stick. Miru was out and Suletta stayed, Suletta had won for her team
"Team defence win"-The teacher announced as Suletta smiled
"you saw that Suki? I used your techniques"-Suletta said thinking what Akatsuki would say ''Good job Suletta! You're really grown as a swordswoman, and boy do you look amazing doing that. I don't know how to actually say it but, but… I LOVE YOU! AND I WANT BE WITH YOU! AS LONG AS THE BURNING PASSION OF MY HEART CAN ALLOW ME TO PROTECT YOU AND MIOMIO!' '-Suletta blushed as she imagined what would Akatsuki say as she made her way towards the Demi Trainer hangar bay
Akatsuki was nervous, he was about to ask his fiancé if she would go spend Christmas with him. So he stood there, in front of girl's locker room. Dressed in his uniform as he thought about how to form the question. 'Hey Suletta, want to go to my place? No, that sounds way too unobvious. Suletta, my mom invited you for Christmas? Do you want to join me? Yeah we're getting somewhere'-he thought as the door to the locker room opened as all the girl Second-Year piloting degree students left the locker room. After a quick look he managed to locate his fiancé and quickly grasped her shoulder
"Suletta! We need to talk! Privately and urgently!"-Akatsuki said as he quickly pulled Suletta away, surprising the Mercurian, this didn't mean that she wasn't opposing her and Akatsuki having more physical contact. And in a few minutes the Martian and the Mercurian found themselves watching over the Asticassia artificial forest
"So Suki, what you wanted to ask me?"-Suletta asked showing Akatsuki her wide and genuine smile as Akatsuki took a deep breath
"What are you doing during the Christmas break?"-Akatsuki asked as Suletta pondered for a second
"Christmas? I think I'll be staying here, my Mom is too busy and I can't come back to Mercury"-Suletta said looking down to the ground as Akatsuki nodded.
"Right, listen. I talked with my Mom and she wanted to me to ask you. Do you want to come with me to Mars? To spend the Christmas break with my family?"-Akatsuki asked as Suletta's eyes widened and her face blushed. She wasn't expecting to hear that question, she knew that she needed to get though her mother first. But she knew her answer, and she wanted to meet more of his family and to see his childhood home and planet. Not to mention that in every romance anime she seen there was an arc where the girl and the boy visited their childhood home and meet the parents, and that thought only made her blush bigger
"Yes! I-I mean I need to ask my mom first but yes!"-Suletta exclaimed as Akatsuki smiled
"Well im glad to hear that, the pick-up Altland will come for us in two days. So you have all the time in the world to make that call"-Akatsuki said as Suletta thought about another question
"Will you also invite Miorine? She maybe is now busy with GUND-ARM Inc. but im sure spending more time with Miss Kudelia will win her over right?"-Suletta asked as then Akatsuki was struck with an realisation that asking Miorine would probably be 100% times harder
"R-Right! I'll ask her, It would be unfair if I wouldn't ask her like I asked you"-Akatsuki said as Suletta peaked up towards him
"Last time I saw her she was in the greenhouse, she wanted to do a walk-around to check on the tomatoes. She should still be there!"-Suletta exclaimed smiling as Akatsuki pondered for a minute before realising what she meant
"Y-You want me to go ask her right now?"-Akatsuki asked as Suletta nodded rapidly
"Of course! You said that our pick-up Altland will come in two days or so, Miorine needs to re-form her graphic to make place for such a long trip"-Suletta explained as Akatsuki thought for a second before a grin appeared on his face.
"I might know a way how to help with that"-Akatsuki said as Suletta had confused facial expression as he took out his phone and dialled "Uncle Orga". And after few seconds the voice echoed millions of kilometres away
"Hello Akatsuki! What do you need your best Uncle for?"
Akatsuki stood in front of Miorine's greenhouse as he tried to form his question. Of course according to Uncle Orga everything was already set and prepared and the only thing he was supposed to do was to play his role and ask the question. 'Yet im still standing like a deer in the headlights, and I've never seen a deer in my whole life!'-he thought as he blinked few times and taking a long deep breath before pressing the button opening the door to reveal Miorine checking over the tomato plants
"Hello Akatsuki, I peeled the newest batch of Dates for you"-Miorine said not even looking towards him as he walked up and grabbed the baggie. Once again taking a long deep breath he turned back towards Miorine
"Hey Miorine?"-Akatsuki asked as Miorine turned towards him nodding sending a signal that she was listening
"What are you planning for the Christmas break?"-Akatsuki asked nervously looking at the hour on his notebook. Miorine meanwhile pondered for a second rubbing her chin
"I don't know, I'll probably spend it here. Preparing business plans and keeping up with my schoolwork. I don't have any trips planned because everyone goes home to their families, except for my old man since he doesn't have anyone to spend the holiday with. And by spending almost two months with me you probably know that I'm not really keen on spending my time with him"-Miorine said as Akatsuki wanted to form his question before being paused by a sudden ringing of Miorine's notebook. Confused, seeing that the number was redacted she opened the call
"Hello?"-Miorine asked as meanwhile millions of kilometres away Orga was sitting in his office, legs on the desk as Mikazuki sat in front of him with a "You Serious?" expression hidden behind his sunglasses
"Hello, is this Miss Miorine Rembran?"-Orga asked as Miorine recognised the voice as Akatsuki let out a sigh knowing that his Uncle had his back
"Mr Orga, I would like to ask two questions. One is why have you called me and two is how you got this number?"-Miorine asked as Orga chuckled
"For question number two, I can't answer that because im a man that keeps his promises. As for the first question, I wanted to ask how are my ambassadors doing and if they are doing their work well?"-Orga asked as Miorine turned confused towards Akatsuki before turning back
"They do fairly well, aside from bringing women to their dorm rooms and causing a ruckus in the middle of the night with a baseball bat enhanced with nails"-Miorine said as Orga chuckled realising how much of things Akatsuki omits when giving reports to his father. Mikazuki's facial expression on the other hand looked much more calm, although with things getting to him from school weren't making him worried. Besides his son had weapons with him so he would defend himself if necessary right?
"Anyways, I do want to talk about the further plans for our partnership, I've seen the blueprints you've sent me and im impressed. Cause I know a few people who need new prosthetics"-Orga said as he took a look at Mikazuki, 'Especially your Dad-in-law'-he thought as meanwhile Miorine was confused by his words
"We could arrange a video conference"-Miorine said as Orga sighed knowing exactly the reason why he called her in the first place and why Akatsuki gave him her number
"I'd prefer something old-fashioned, the commanders including your father-in-law insisted on meeting face-to-face. And since Christmas is coming we thought that it would be a perfect opportunity to arrange such a meeting. Since Akatsuki, Miru and Damon will be picked up by an Altland in two days or so you could hop on with them. We'll arrange living space for you when you arrive, does that sound well?"-Orga asked as Miorine sighed before nodding
"It does, I only need to re-new my passport"-Miorine said as Orga chuckled
"No worries, Akatsuki has a diplomatic one so they should let you though with no problem. Also regarding Akatsuki pass to him that Barbatos is close to full restoration and will be ready by the time you will arrive. See you on Mars miss Rembran"-Orga said closing the call as Mikazuki's facial expression hasn't shifted ever since he picked up the phone
"Come on Mika, why the face? I just got your daughter-in-law. Well one of your daughters-in-law, to come to your home for Christmas!"-Orga exclaimed as Mikazuki sighed
"Remember when we were kids and you would anything I would tell you? Now it's Akatsuki's job"-Orga joked as Mikazuki corrected
"Im only doing what's best for my children, now sorry Orga. Doctor called me regrading Barbatos"-Mikazuki said getting up before another question formed in Orga's mind
"Hey Mika, why do you still wear sunglasses when we're not even outside?"-Orga asked as Mikazuki turned towards Orga while standing in the doorsill
"Because Akatsuki said that I looked cool"-Mikazuki replied leaving puzzled Orga. 'Mika that was 10 years ago'-he thought as millions of kilometres away Miorine was eying Akatsuki with a sharp look
"You could've asked me yourself if I want to go to Mars"-Miorine said as Akatsuki looked up
"What?! How did you know?"-Akatsuki asked as Miorine sighed before pointing her finger at him
"You look down to the ground as if you were ashamed of something, you keep tapping your foot and you're frantically moving your fingers. I've spent enough time with you to know when you're lying. I guess I should go pack my stuff, we'll be staying at your house I guess right?"-Miorine asked as Akatsuki nodded
"Good, and since you're already here calibrate the light on the tomatoes. And pack some seeds, I want to plant them on your farm. Also passing a message from Mr Orga, Barbatos is almost repaired and should be ready by the time we arrive"-Miorine said leaving the Greenhouse and puzzled Akatsuki, who only complied to her requests
"What? You want to go to Mars?"-Prospera asked sitting in her office talking with Suletta on the phone, as her daughter was laying on her bed waiting for her mother's decision
"Yes, I got an invite from my In-laws. I kept up with my studies and my grades went up! Please allow me to go!"-Suletta asked her mom as Prospera pondered for a second, before taking a look at her datapad and chuckling
"Of course! If your In-laws invited you home it would be impolite to say no"-Prospera said as Suletta smiled
"Thank you Mom! I promise to call you every day!"-Suletta said as Prospera chuckled
"I know, and im sure your In-laws will love you"-Prospera said closing the call before sighing
"Are you sure it's wise allowing her to go?"-Godoy asked as Prospera put her helmet back on
"As long as she is protected by him it will be fine. After all, what mother I would be if I haven't allowed my daughter to meet the parents of her star-crossed lover?"-Prospera asked as meanwhile Suletta managed to keep her excitement hidden from her roommates
"So, it is settled then? You're going to Mars?"-Katma asked bending down from her bed towards Suletta who nodded
"Yes, what about you Katma?"-Suletta asked as Katma rubbed her chin. Managing to keep her deeply buried thoughts about how it should be her she knew her answer
"I think I'll go back to Titan for a bit. What about you Nika?"-Katma asked turning towards the young mechanic
"I already said that I would be staying here, I don't want to come back to the orphanage"-Nika said as a frown appeared on Katma's face knowing that she will spend her Christmas alone
"How about you come to Titan with me? We'll probably spend a lot of time on testing but having a familiar mechanic would be nice. Besides you know the insides and outsides of battle-hardened Kuiper than them. We can eat Christmas dinner, play some games and eat a lot of trash food. So how about it?"-Katma asked as Nika blushed at the thought of spending Christmas with her crush. So she nodded
"I can, since I can't really come back to Earth right now. As long as I won't be a burden"-Nika said as Katma chuckled
"No worries! In fact I also would be spending my Christmas alone aside from my agent so it would be nice to have a companion, I can also tour you around Huygens if you want"-Katma said as Nika smiled
"Of course! How about you Chuchu? You're also coming home?"-Nika asked as Chuchu was packing her things
"Yeah, tomorrow I have a shuttle to Earth, besides Aliya and Lilique are also coming home right?"-Chuchu asked as Aliya nodded
"Not only me, im also taking Giko and the rest. My parents would kill me if I left them alone"-Aliya explained as Miru sighed before falling down on her bed
"Can't wait to go home, I miss my siblings and I can't wait to shit on Damon with them, not to mention I miss Azee, Lafter and the rest. And now I know that Suletta and Miorine will come with us. Miss Atrra will be so happy to meet you"-Miru said as Suletta turned towards her
"Miss Atrra, Suki's birth mom. Should I be nervous?"-Suletta asked as Miru nodded
"No worries! Miss Atrra is the nicest woman I've met! Besides she always says hi to you so it appears she already like you!"-Miru explained calming Suletta down who's worries quickly fallen down. 'Suki's childhood home, I wonder how it looks like'-she thought as her mind had created a paradise-looking farmhouse, filled with numerous fields with several types of plants growing. And those thoughts were clouding Suletta's mind until falling asleep
Akatsuki, Damon and Miru were sitting on a bench in the TSC Hangar, all wearing their regular clothes. Aside from Akatsuki who wore his TSC fatigues with addition of his jacket. All having their suitcases with their clothes.
"When will they arrive?! We're sitting here for 40 minutes or so!"-Damon said as he was texting on his notebook with Renee
"They'll come! Give them some time. Miorine is probably packing her entire drawer of extravagant clothes from Earth"-Miru said as Akatsuki nodded knowing how many clothes he had seen while cleaning Miorine's drawer. His train of thought was quickly cut by sound of footsteps, and after seconds the footsteps revealed Suletta and Miorine wearing regular clothes. Miorine wore a white top with white jean shorts and white sneakers. Suletta on the other hand wore regular blue jeans and a grey t-shirt. Both of them had suitcases with additional clothes and their personal belongings
"Right, everyone's here and nobody forgot anything?"-Miorine asked as the four pilots nodded
"Well then, let's go"-Miorine said as the five teens made their way towards their pick-up spot where after giving their personal belongings to the TSC personnel on board the Altland all of them dressed up in their normal suits. It took them around 45 minutes to get settled as they were lead to their rooms. Miru and Damon got their own and future newlyweds were given their own room. It was fairly Spartan, with a single window and a double-decker bed with a single bed on the side of the opposite side of the room. Miorine let out a sigh before taking off her normal suit, throwing it away on the lower bed of the double-decker
"Ok, me and Suletta will take the double-bed. And I take to lower bed, is that good?"-Miorine asked as Suletta nodded. Akatsuki fell down on his bed as he overlooked Miorine and Suletta unpacking their things. 'This is going to be a long trip'-he thought as the Altland left the Asticassia airspace

Seras sat in the cockpit of the newly-reactivated Barbatos. Wearing a black and red prototype TSC pilot suit. Designed in a way to allow Akatsuki for the deeper connection he was able to tap in during his Battle with the Gabriel. And currently was giving the last tweaks to the system with her laptop
"Right, Inferno mode standby"-She said as the cameras turned off and a visor on the helmet slid down covering her eyes. And in a blink of an eye a strike of pain attacked her body. It wasn't something new to her as it was something she did since she was a young teenager. A spurt of blood runned down from her nose as she opened her eyes, and smiled knowing her little experiment of getting though the data storm worked. But as soon as she took a look of her surroundings she was taken back. As she opened her eyes she noticed that she lost the visor. And was surrounded by white void. And her mouth immediately went gaping open, she saw 10 children, all wearing spacesuits. And after taking a longer look she was shocked. The children, resembled Ericht Samaya. The daughter of Elnora Samaya, one of the pilots of the Lfirth prototypes she also had tested. Although in a different location but she did pay a visit to Folkvangr a mere few days before Cathedra's forces attacked the colony
"Eri?"-Seras asked as one of the children flew towards her and grabbed her hand
"Im sorry, but you can't be here"-the child said smiling before rapidly disintegrating and after few buzzes Seras felt a different grasp on her hand. After looking up her confusion only risen further up, she saw the younger version of her test pilot

As she opened her eyes she felt an immerse headache. She took off her helmet and wiped the blood from her nose, she quickly opened the cockpit and jumped off holding her laptop that was showing that the test had been successful. She looked up to Barbatos's head, with all its armour taken off. 'What are you? What does the incident have to do with you?'-she thought as she was now asking herself what to do? Should she report it to her superiors? Write the new data and use it for Central Army's Gundam program? Or to do some digging? She was also a witch after all
"I don't know what do you have to do with the Vanadis Institute, but I will find out"-she whispered to herself quickly returning to work trying to put the newly formed questions aside

A/N: Our first major filler arc begins! And yes, Christmas in the beginning of the summer because why the hell not? Not to mention that since the school in most countries begins in September I was wondering why the original anime haven't gotten a Christmas episode, maybe because Sunrise only gave them 12 episodes. But since here we have an alternate universe why can't we show a bit of difference? Also a homecoming arc is a fairly popular trope I wanted to use. The next few chapters will focus on the Trio's adventures on Mars with some flashes to what Nika and Katma are doing on Titan. And it will take some time to return to the main G-Witch story, but our characters will be far more developed than in the main show if we would just skipped it to the two months between episodes 9 and 10. Also yeah, a bit more world-building. I thought it was weird that for a school we haven't seen any PE classes so there's that. And I continued the whole Damon/Renee thing for two reasons, one because having side characters doing things off-camera is nice not to mention the new ways of how I can I develop the OC's and with their help make the characters from the OG show more prominent.
