Chapter 2-3

Several Hours Later

Spidey finally reached the safehouse where the rest of his companions were. When Spidey revealed his wounds to him, before Venom could use his abilities to heal him, Black Cat told him to stand for a brief second.

"I just want to test my healing abilities," Black Cat purred.

"Sssince when did you have healing abilitiesss?"

She looked at Venom and batted her eyelashes. "Since always, big guy."

Black Cat has Spidey sit down and she lifts his costume up so she can assess the damage. She reaches into her utility belt and takes out a sewing needle and sutures.

She sat Spidey down and began using her stitching abilities on his entry and exit wound.

"You'll look for any excuse to dig your fingers into my bare flesh, huh, kitty?" Spidey smiled under his mask. "You like kneading my flesh, don'tcha?"

Black Cat dug her nails deep around his wound area. "Very much so, Spider. But for right now, I'm just testing something out."

Spidey had a high pain tolerance but he decided not to let his pain tolerance get in the way.

The way Black Cat is digging her sharp claws into my skin is such a turn-on.

He winces when he feels the needle puncture his skin. He gasped slightly and licked his lips behind his mask. His eyes rolled to the back of his head as he arched his back and let his head roll back.

They filled him in on everything he missed.

"The bomb was glowing," Silk mentioned all of a sudden. "Yeah, and the batteries as well."

"And Eddie snapped some photos," Black Cat reminded, "of the bombers. They had the same masks I encountered a few nights ago. Chinese demon masks of some kind."

"Chinese Demon masks," Spidey repeated, "but Owen and Jardani are not Chinese so why the Chinese demon mask? Unless gangsters suddenly found an urge to appropriate China into their culture."

"Probably the glowing guy," Black Cat suggested. "Maybe he's Chinese or something. I couldn't tell when I saw him because the glowing hue did not make him look human in the slightest so I couldn't point out any Chinese characteristics on him. And his voice sounded disoriented so no way to tell if he had some Chinese accent or whatever."

Kraven the Hunter was Russian, not Chinese.

"What happened to you?" Silk asked. "How the hell did you get stabbed?"

Spidey told them about Kraven the Hunter. "I disposed of the sword because it had my DNA on it. And I managed to get a sample of Kraven's blood. I gave some to Yuri and kept the rest to analyze myself."

"Why?" Silk asked. "Why give to the police?"

"Because if Kraven's DNA is in the database, he'll have a profile. If not, then the DNA sample I gave them will be inputted into the database, which will hopefully make it easier for the police to track Kraven."

"Nice," Venom smiled. "Nice to sssee another big game hunter on Earth. He sssoundsss like he would be right up our alley."

Spidey looked up at Venom. "'Our', as in the four of us, or 'our' as in you and Eddie?"

"Eddie and I."

"Aww, look at you, speaking on behalf of your human host, growling and hissing like a snake for him while he sits in the back of a trunk while you drive." Spidey chuckles. "Venom, how would you like to become what you will eat before you eat it?"

"Huh?"

Spidey explained his plan to impersonate Kraven.

"Huh, we guesss we can work with that. After all, we rarely let loossse ssso to be able to fight againssst you would be… awesssome. And… cathartic. But we will not ssshow you mercy."

"Good. If you did then it would be obvious that everything is scripted." He turns to Silk. "Do you have any objections to what we are doing, Silk?"

"What is the point of this?" Silk responds. "Why do we start up the Spider Act?"

"Because it allows us to work with the police force. And… it'll get them off our back. Besides, in a case like this, where we go up against a large organization, things could go haywire, especially since we can't keep track of everyone. What if one of them goes to the police about having a plan to capture me or you? With the Spider Act in place, the police will grant us immunity to do whatever we want. If we play our cards right, we can use them as pawns in our own game."

Silk glared at him. "I will not use people as pawns. And I will not kill anyone either."

Spidey tilts his head. "But I will, Cindy."

Don't worry, Cindy, your conscience will be clear. The only people who will be dying are violent, guilty criminals; no innocent people will be dying on my watch.

Black Cat turns around. "If it makes you feel better, Silk, I can be the police force. I still have contacts at the police force that can help me out. I can go in there, and talk some people up. And even break in and steal information. But then again, with Captain Watanabe working with us kinda makes the whole thing very boring."

Spidey turns to her. "No, kitty, you get the chance to infiltrate these gangs and do some damage from the inside."

I don't care for companionship. I crave socialization every once in a while because socialization is human nature but I don't care for companionship, only things that will make my life easier. As much as I would love to fancy myself a lone wolf spider, I understand and believe in the saying that no man is an island. I understand what I am not capable of. Venom bonded to me and stole some of my powers so he is stronger, more durable, and has more abilities than me. Silk is faster, much more agile, has quicker reflexes, and has a stronger spider-sense. Black Cat can turn the tide of a battle on a dime with her bad luck power, and she has the equipment and martial arts to give her an edge. But I also understand my strengths. I'm smarter, have better combat, and have much more experience than all of them combined. Black Cat, Silk, and Venom are the strengths that I don't have so to not use them would be EXTREMELY wasteful.

"I have a plan," Spidey admitted. "It's going to take time and patience but I believe we can make it work. After all, we are dealing with a gang so unlike villains in the past, the big bad of this adventure most likely isn't going to be seen for a while but we are going be seeing a lot of his thugs. So… we're going to force this glowing guy out into the open. We're going to chip away at his network one by one and then we're going to kill him."

Silk's eyes widened.

"If a guy like this was willing to blow up innocent people then chances are, he's going to get the death penalty anyway. We are saving the police department time and money killing him ourselves. And besides, we already know he's guilty so there's no need for a trial." He sighs happily. "Wouldn't life be easier if everyone was openly evil, twisting their mustache and laughing maniacally and rubbing their fingers sinisterly?"

Black Cat finishes stitching up the entrance wound. "Time for the back, Spider."

Spidey surveyed the room while Black Cat began working on the exit wound.

"First, we're going to have Venom impersonate Kraven. We'll fight in public and then you run off. After the Spider Act is initiated, Black Cat, you will be our eyes and ears on the inside. I want you to infiltrate these gangs in the dead of night and then cause disruption from the inside. Leave an anonymous call to the police and then once they've gathered whatever evidence they can find, I'll ask Yuri about the details and then we'll go from there."

"And what are you and other Spider going to do, Spider?"

Silk narrows her eyes. "What are we doing, David?" She walked over to him, put her hands on his sewn wound, and stroked it carefully.

Patience, Cindy, patience; I have PLENTY in store for you as well.

Spidey looks at her. "Well, since we're the web-swingers of New York, the only thing expected that we do is patrol the city and keep the peace. If we break our pattern, the gangs could get suspicious. Right now, Venom and Black Cat gotta do their thing and cause things to unsettle from within the gangs. If we get the gangs to act, then we're going find the leader and kill him."

"How?"

Spidey explained the next part of the plan to Venom.

Venom touches his chin. "Interesssting, web-head. We like that idea."

Spidey nods. "By the way, I'm going to need to make a better costume." He gestures to the tears. "I don't like the idea of even a little bit of my skin being exposed. Unless I'm okay with it."

"I'll build you a suit, Spider," Black Cat offered, "much more sturdier and more durable. After all, I made you a black suit last time, remember?"

Spidey looks at her. "Thank you." He eyes her costume. "You made your own costume but where did you get all your fancy tech from?"

"A girl's gotta have secrets, Spider."

Spidey nods. "Whatever you say.

I'm not stupid, Felicia, I know that all the gear you have belonged to your father from his time as the Cat.

"All done," Black Cat sighed.

Spidey looked at her handiwork. "Impressive. Now then, I would rather use the real healer on our team."

Black Cat rips the stitches off of him. Spidey yelps in pain before he sighs heavenly and smiles behind his mask. Venom approached Spidey and put his hands on both of Spidey's wounds and healed them with his symbiote's healing abilities. When he was done, there was barely a scar.

"I'll make you a nice suit, Spider," Black Caat promised.

"Don't change the design in any way," he warned, "I like the way I designed it in the first place." He looks at his wrists. "I'll work on my web-shooters." He stands up. "We should get leaving then."

And how did they get home? Did they web-swing home or super-leap from building to building? No.

They drove home. They climbed to the bottom of the building, found an abandoned car, had Black Cat jumpstart it, and then they drove home, turning on the radio and singing to 'Forever' by Papa Roach.

The Next Day

F.E.A.S.T. Shelter

Martin Li sighed heavily. He played the news from last night on the TV in his office for hours and felt negative energy beginning to bubble up within him. Carmine and Franco came in wearing their business suits and looked at Martin with stern looks on their faces.

"What happened at the rally yesterday?"

Carmine choked up. "Well, it seems that our plan to hold the entire rally hostage until Kraven and Spider-Man got there backfired... badly."

"Somehow, Spider-Man caught onto Owen and Jardani as they were about to hold the crowd hostage," Franco continued. "The backup crew threw a bomb at Spider-Man as they were ordered to but Spider-Man survived the explosion. We lost the bomb crew when Spider-Man crashed their car."

"And as for Owen and Jardani?"

"They say that Spider-Man spared them."

Martin narrows his eyes. "Interesting. Why would a violent criminal like Spider-Man spare two more violent criminals? What are his intentions?" He shook his head. "It doesn't matter; let's focus on the task at hand. Kraven, what is his deal?"

"When we questioned him, he remained quiet and demanded he would only give details to you. We're not sure about Kraven but the last time we saw him, he had a few cuts on him so maybe he fought Spider-Man."

"And yet, Spider-Man was seen swinging around just recently." He clenches his fists. "Alright, time to go to Plan B."

Someone knocked on the door. Carmine and Franco turned their backs as Martin's personal redhead assistant, Darcy, entered the room.

"Mr. Li, there's a Drew McGill here for you."

Martin smiled. "Of course, I shall be right out there to meet him."

After Darcy left the room, Franco grabbed Martin's shoulder. 'Sir, what's going on?"

"Ahh, there's a film crew who wants to shoot a scene for a movie here at F.E.A.S.T. I thought it would be a good idea to give my guests here in my sanctuary a chance to get themselves noticed. It's hard for homeless people to get noticed. Hopefully, this will help them get jobs."

"How?

"Shouldn't we focus on the task at hand?" Carmine asked.

"No. Get Chameleon and tell him that he now has a part to play."

Carmine took out his phone. "I'll call Chameleon myself and tell him everything."

"Thank you. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some guests to greet."

Outside of the homeless shelter, Misa waited patiently in the car in the parking lot as her boyfriend was waiting outside the homeless shelter. Misa tapped her fingers on the wheel absentmindedly before turning on the radio. A nasal female voice came through.

Radio Host: Gooooood morning, New Yorkers, another bright and sunny day in the Big Apple. You have tuned into the ASM 61.6 radio, we want to hear your calls about what's been going on in the Big Apple. The most talked about topic we've been hearing these last few days is about the explosion at the Spider-Man rally, let's hear some thoughts from our loyal Spiderly listeners.

Caller 1: Those Spider-Man rallies seriously need to stop. I mean, seriously. Spider-Man is a glorified killer and dressing up as a glorified killer only glorifies that glorified killer. I think instead of glorifying that glorified killer with these glorifying rallies, we should be teaching our kids that killing ISN'T the answer. After all, glorifying a glorified killer will only get worse in the long run.

Caller 2: We are not safe as long as Spider-Man and Silk are out there. I say that those two should just hang up their webs and let the police do what they're getting paid for.

Radio Host: I don't know, I mean, paying the people to do a public service is one thing but a superhuman who is doing a public service for free? If you ask me, that's a bargain.

Caller 3: I'm sooo in love with Silk. I mean, she's pretty, she's fast, she's very flexible, damn, I want to make her my wife one day. And... I was wondering, does she harbor true feelings for Spider-Man?

Caller 4: I was saved by Spider-Man yesterday. I was the driver of the taxi that crashed. Honestly, I'm grateful to be alive. Spider-Man saved my life and I know that people don't think he is a morally good character but he is still saving lives. Actions speak louder than words. And not only that but I DIDN'T have to pay for any damages to the taxi so as long as I'm not losing any more money, then I'm on the Spider's side.

Caller 5: Spider-Man is a nice person. He saved me and my children from a group of teenagers harassing us. You may think it's nothing special but those teenagers ripped up my children's costumes and after Spider-Man scared them off, he fixed my kids' masks. And then he walked up to the rally, joking with my children. I just think that he is just a misunderstood person.

Caller 6: Silk is SO underrated. I mean, she doesn't get enough credit and I think that's because people focus too much on Spider-Man than Silk. Silk, if you're listening to this radio, know that I'm your number one fanboy.

Misa turns off the radio and looks in the rearview mirror. "Wow, looks like you two are getting more popular with each passing second."

David and Cindy look back at Misa.

"Yes," David answered on Cindy's behalf. "We sure are."

As much as I want to keep Mom in the dark about my serial killer life, I believe it is necessary that she know SOME details. I mean, she already knows about Venom and Black Cat so Silk was the next big thing. And it works in our favor.

"A lot of people are talking about the good you do," Misa pointed out. "Looks like someone is turning into a real admirable hero. People are starting to look at you more for the good deeds you do rather than the bad ones."

David nods. "I could care less what they think about me but it's good to have public relations." He looks over at Cindy. "Anything to comment, Cindy?"

She shook her head. "No. A part of me is nervous about people looking at me but... people are going to be looking at me so I might as well get used to it."

"That kiss at the rally," Misa started, "what was that all about?"

David smiles mischievously. "To appease the shippers and to get my large sexual appetite under control."

Cindy and Misa's eyes both widened.

"I heard online that some people believe that Spider-Man has the ability to hypnotize women into following his command. I wish that ability were true so I could have a harem; dating would be much easier. Fucking could come sooner rather than later. All the fetishes I could-" He stops himself. "Well, out of respect for the women here, I won't give out TMI." He gives a Cheshire grin.

I like making people feel uncomfortable and Mom and Cindy are no exception. But I better stop because we need to be on our A-game.

He looks at his newly made web-shooters.

I like these things. Like before, they were wristwatches I stole from various people across campus, taken apart to create web-shooters. This time, the trigger I'm using, which normally had a black trigger that was expandable like a baton, was now colored the same color as my skin so I always have it in the palm of my hands at all times. The trigger was also expandable like before, just in case I have to remove them for whatever tacky reason.

He tugged on the collar of his shirt, which had a brand new Spider-Man suit underneath in perfect condition.

As much as I preferred the skintight costume that offered little to no restraint, I knew I had to think bigger against enemies with super strength. That's why my suit was now exactly one inch bulkier than before to accommodate the armor my delectable delicious ferocious feline Felicia Kitty sewed into the costume.

Completely anti-stab proof and can withstand even the strongest of knives up to a point. Unless you have superhuman strength. But then again, I'm counting on being stabbed at least once by Kraven and I'm just hoping that the armor in my suit would lessen the chances of me bleeding and leaving DNA evidence behind.

Speaking of which, I still haven't had a chance to take a look-see into Kraven's DNA.

Misa looked over her shoulder and quickly unlocked her door. She got out and ran up to her boyfriend, who was walking out of the building with Martin Li behind him.

Cindy's eyes widened and like before, she was looking around to see if she lost something. David spotted her.

Her silk-sense must be going off but mine isn't. Eh, it's probably nothing. Some five-year-old probably fell down and is going wah-wah for his momma.

"Cindy, if your Silk-sense is going off and mine isn't, then we need a signal, especially in public."

Cindy looks at him. She taps her forefinger against the back of her skull.

"Yeah." He copied her. "Just like that. What is your Silk-sense telling you?"

"I'm not sure; it's all fuzzy right now."

Cindy looked over her shoulder and scrunched her eyes in confusion. "Is that..."

David follows her gaze. He watches Drew introduce Misa to the man who owned the homeless shelter, Martin Li.

Oh, so THAT'S what Martin Li looks like. Honestly, trying to do this whole movie scene at F.E.A.S.T. shelter seems like a waste of time. Then again, it does save costs on making their own studio and hiring a bunch of extras.

"I'll be right back."

David climbs out of the car but unfortunately for him, Cindy follows him after she turns off the car.

David reaches his mother's side just as the three of them are laughing about something.

Misa noticed her son and patted his shoulder. "Mr. Li, this is my son, David."

David smiles. "Yep, the only and only David." She gestures to Cindy. "This is my friend, Cindy."

Martin hesitates when he sees Cindy. "Nice to meet you," he replied with a smile plastered on his face. "Always a positive pleasure to meet someone new." He shook hands with David and Cindy. "David, your mother here was just telling me how much she admired my work, how I'm making a shelter to aid the homeless shelter. Your mother's got a good, positive heart."

Martin Li has a firm handshake, and makes eye contact, indicating confidence. His shoulders are relaxed, his heartbeat steady, and no smell of sweat on him. Eyes do dart between mine and Mom and Drew's, indicating that he is trying his best to focus on everyone. Also has a verbal quirk of saying 'positive'. Chances of him being a bad guy, too early to tell but he likes my mother and given her recent history of somehow being involved with the big bad of my adventure, namely Green Goblin and Hobgoblin, I would say... slim to none. I mean, Octavius didn't know my mother. By that logic, Drew would be a supervillain but he's a good guy. I don't care for him but he is good to my mother so I will grant him some leeway. No need to have a shovel talk with him just yet.

"Yeah, my mom is a shining light in this world."

"Perfection," Drew added.

"Well, I wouldn't call myself 'perfect' but thank you," Misa smiled sheepishly. She looked awkwardly at her son.

Oh yes, Mom, you are by NO means perfect keeping your serial killer of a son a secret. But I like you for making my life easier.

Martin shakes Drew's hand. "So, when can I expect to see the camera crew down here to film your scene?"

"In about two weeks or so. We're going for a horror movie during the Christmas time; perfect juxtaposition."

"Wait, you suggested this place?" David asked.

"I did. The studio said that I have creative freedom to film my scenes and I thought that this homeless shelter would be a good place to film."

"I'm grateful," Martin shook Drew's hand once again. "This place represents the best, most positive side of myself and to see people notice it... it warms my heart. Thank you very much, Drew."

"If you want to thank me, you can be an extra in my movie and shoot the character I'm playing to save your people."

"Tempting."

David gave a toothless smile before looking at Cindy and saw her staring at Martin.

Huh, I wonder what's going on in Cindy's mind. Is her Silk-sense still going off? If so, what is causing it to go off? And why is she staring at Martin Li like that? Is something about to happen? Why isn't MY spider-sense going off? Maybe Cindy is trying to clear her head to see what her Silk-sense is warning her and Martin just tragically happens to be in her line of sight while staring off into outer space.

Then again, I've seen enough movies to know that anyone who overuses the word 'positive' in one paragraph is bound to be bad news.

One Hour Later

Manhattan

Perfect place for a fake fight. Plenty of empty taxis, and more than enough bystanders but not enough to worry about collateral damage. A lot of them seem to be working to work or wherever they're going and there are kids in the crowd. It's a good thing Eddie and I spent all of last night doing the choreography to this fight.

Take lessons, Drew, THIS is how you do a fight scene with REAL background extras and ZERO collateral damage.

David pulled his mask down and sighed heavily. He turned towards Venom and sized him up. The alien stood at least one foot above him and Spidey cocked his head. "If you want to get an exact look at what Kraven looked like, then take a quick peak into my mind."

"Whatever you sssay."

The Venom symbiote leaps off of Eddie, bonds to Spidey, and then ejects himself back onto Eddie once more. Venom purrs before he morphs his appearance and dons an identical appearance to Kraven in terms of clothing but not in physical appearance as Eddie's face is still very much there.

That's why Venom used pieces of himself to darken Eddie's hair, and eyebrows, and give him the thick and bushy beard that Kraven had.

It's time to get fucking crazy. I fight Kraven-Venom in public and then after a lengthy while, I will order him to retreat and then the Spider Act will be initiated.

Spidey nods and Kraven-Venom tackles Spidey over the edge. They plummet thirty stories to the ground and exchange brutal punches and hooks with each other, not holding back to make it look real. They land on the ground with Kraven-Venom on the bottom and Spidey on top. Their landing zone was in the middle of a busy street in the middle of oncoming traffic. A taxi drove out of the way and just barely avoided hitting them and almost crashed into another car but managed to maneuver around and drive off. Spidey stays on top of Kraven-Venom and punches his faux enemy before his faux enemy throws him off. He is launched into the side of an occupied taxi, causing the side to cave in.

I have to REALLY commit myself to the role if I want this fake fight to look real. I have Silk on standby watching to make sure there's no collateral damage.

"Wow," Spidey complimented, "someone sure as hell didn't miss leg day." Spidey fires his webs at Kraven-Venom. He dodges the attacks leaps over the air and piledrives on Spidey. Spidey punches him across the face before using both feet to launch him off. Spidey stands up and assumes a boxing position. Kraven-Venom throws a punch that Spidey cannot dodge. If his spider-sense was working then it could've worked but the symbiote knows his way around Spidey's sixth sense and he was slightly faster than the wall-crawler himself.

But Silk is faster. Maybe I should've brought her down and had her receive the first few punches. But.. Nah, I don't want to do anything to hurt Cindy's pretty face. After all, she says she's not into that BDSM stuff Felicia and I are into so respect that.

Just three more minutes and Cindy should show up to give me a helping hand.

Spidey grabs the empty taxi behind him and throws it at Kraven-Venom. "Incoming!"

Kraven-Venom catches the incoming taxi with one hand and lifts it above his head as if it were a cell phone.

You're making Kraven look stronger than he is, Venom. Then again, he did manage to kick me to the opposite end of a hallway with just one foot so maybe there is some validation.

Kraven-Venom swings the taxi like a baseball at Spidey, who leaps into the air. "Strike one." He uses his webs to catapult him to the ground and punches Venom in the back of the head. Kraven-Venom swung the taxi once more. Spidey leaped back. "Hairsbreathdt."

On any other day, the choreography would've been obvious to anyone but we're superhumans with much more durable bodies so we are the king of beings stuntmen can only DREAM of becoming.

Spidey webs Kraven-Venom in the eyes and uses a piece of shrapnel that disconnected from the taxi's cave-in from earlier, he flung it like a baseball at Kraven-Venom's chest. Kraven-Venom ripped the shrapnel out of his chest and used it to backhand Spidey and only managed to scratch his chest.

"Hey easy, that thing is sharp. Don't you know what happens when you have a sharp object? You get stabbed! Oh, and don't get me started on papercuts."

Kraven-Venom swings the taxi once more.

"Strike three!" He lands on top of Kraven-Venom's shoulders and elbows him hard enough to crack his skull. Kraven-Venom drops the taxi, grabs Spidey by the waist and bodyslams him. The ground had a crater beneath where Spidey was slammed down and he groaned.

"I'm giving you one more chance, Kraven, you either surrender to me or I will kill you. I will -"

Cue cutting me off...

Kraven-Venom punches him hard in the face.

And... cue Cindy.

Silk swings into battle and kicks Kaven-Venom in the back with both feet. Kraven-Venom barely flinches but he does turn toward her. Spidey took advantage of this opportunity and punched Venom across the jaw. Kraven-Venom turned towards him and was about to punch him once more when Silk webbed his eyes up. Spidey frees himself from the blind Kraven-Venom and uses the taxi as a baseball bat against Kraven-Venom this time. Unlike Kraven-Venom, Spidey wasn't as fast and he needed both hands to lift the taxi above his head.

Kraven-Venom ripped the webbing out of his eyes and managed to move out of the way as Spidey brought the taxi down on him. "Hammertime, hunter Kraven boy!"

Kraven-Venoim moved to the side and when he heard the familiar sounds of webbing, he turned around to find Silk flying through the air, a manhole cover in her hands and she used it as a weapon against him.

Kraven-Venom ducked but Silk saw that he was about to duck long before he even thought it and adjusted her swing. She went from aiming for the head to aiming lower, where his head would currently be ducking too.

Kraven-Venom took the full blow of the manhole cover and staggered back.

Cindy's getting better at adjusting her angle of attack.

"I'm about to crush you to death so stop moving!" Spidey crushed him with the taxi and completely flattened him. "Well, thank you for being the nail to my hammer. If this superhero gig doesn't work out, I can definitely see myself getting into a carpenter career."

With both spiders sighing in relief, the taxi was suddenly kicked off and went flying towards the two. They ducked out of the way and watched the taxi land on the side of the street that was empty of civilians and Kraven-Venom retreated into the manhole where Silk got the manhole cover.

"Hey, hunter boy, where are you going; the fun's only beginning."

And this is where we exit.

He took a split second to look around but it was all he needed.

No blood, no DNA, no casualties.

"Cannonball!" Spidey leaps into the air like an Olympic high-diver. He and Silk leap into the sewers with Silk covering the manhole cover behind them.

They landed at the bottom. "Ahh, I love it when a girl closes a door for me. If us boys are opening doors for girls, the least they can do is close a door for us."

And boom. Kraven the Hunter, a new villain in town, has been displayed to the public and is ready to be fought by Spider-Man. There were plenty of people recording and we managed not to leave any innocent people harmed. Cindy and Eddie's conscience will remain clean. And as for me and my Spider Act... the fun begins now.

New York Police Station

Anderson turned on the television and folded his arms over his chest as he watched the news doing a showcase on Spider-Man fighting some new villain town, a villain that had superhuman strength.

Everyone crowded around Anderson and chuckled upon seeing the fight play out.

"Wow," a police officer began, "what do you know? How many more supervillains are there going to be?"

Another officer spoke up. "Don't you read comic books; the number of villains is going to be endless. We're all going to be up to our necks in supervillains."

"We aren't in a comic book, Cox."

"We are now," a cop named Huell sighed, "when hunters start lifting taxis above their heads, then we are in a comic book."

"Let's just hope that we're the protagonists and we have plot armor," Anderson told them. "Now everyone, get back to work."

"Where's Captain Watanabe?" someone asked. "Where is she?"

Yuri Watanabe came out of a supply closet and adjusted her belt as she walked to the crowd.

The headline read, 'Spider-Man vs Hunter', and the part where Spidey called Kraven by name was heard by the crew.

"Captain," Cox called out, "check this out."

Yuri pulled on her collar before standing beside Anderson to watch the news story.

"What's going on?"

Anderson answered, "New villain in town. It sounds like his name is Kraven. He and Spider-Man just fought like five minutes ago."

"What?" Yuri's eyes widened. "Kraven?" She stares at the screen.

Anderson gives her a side glance and spots something on her neck. "You got a little white stuff on your neck."

Yuri put her hand over her right jugular and pulled her skin down over the white mark. "Sorry, I forgot to wash my makeup off this morning."

"You should be happy," Anderson growled, "the Spider Act has started."

"Spider Act," Yuri repeated. "Excuse me, I need to make a phone call."

"Go on; you're going to celebrate because your hero won't be getting arrested."

Yuri ignored him before walking back to the supply closet. With everyone looking in the opposite direction, Yuri looks around for cameras. Seeing that she was in the blindspots, she pulled something out of the supply closet, dragged it to the backdoor leading into the garage, and opened the trunk of her car.

A hogtied Yuriko Watanabe wearing nothing but her bra and panties was stuffed into the trunk of her car. The Yuri who dragged her out smiled sadistically at the unconscious girl. She pulled out a rag from her pocket and shoved it into the unconscious Yuri's mouth.

Yuri's sadistic smile did not vanish as she began talking to the unconscious Yuri. "Thank you for lending me your face, Yuriko Watanabe." She slams the trunk shut.
