"So, December 14th After Disaster Stella 122. The thirteenth day of our trip. Somehow we managed to NOT KILL each other the first day, which is a plus, and surprising considering Damon is here. Aside from a minor "misadventure" on the Inner-Outer border office, but that's not something a diplomacy passport and diplomatic immunity can't fix. Currently if we keep this course we should arrive on Mars in a day from now, can't wait to go home for at least a brief moment. A break from the routine of constant fighting/working myself to exhaustion not to mention the running team schedule I have to keep up with. And of course this will mark the first time my parents, well birthparents meet Suletta and Miorine…shit, and I still don't have this planned out. First impressions are important after all. I'll just allow the circumstances to put it out for me. Talking about something more pleasant, I'll see Barbatos for the first time in almost a month. Dad says it's a surprise and there's little to no things I know about the supposed upgrade. CHAPTER 13: HOMECOMING
"Akatsuki wake up, Akatsuki wake up"-Haro announced flapping its wings with the rhythm of the alarm clock of Akatsuki's notebook, as grunts of few voices that were occupying the small room on board an Altland could be heard
"Can't you make this blue ball shut up!?"-Miorine exclaimed as Akatsuki turned off the alarm clock as both Miorine and Suletta let out a sigh
"Uhm Suki? Why do you keep waking up this early? We're as far from school as we can?"- Suletta added hanging her head from the upper bunk to which Akatsuki sighed stretching his arms
"Good morning to you too, and you forgotten? Its Friday and that means im going to the gym. Stretch myself a bit, I'll meet you in the cafeteria for breakfast"-Akatsuki said as Suletta turned around blushing seeing that he was changing his clothes, and after a brief second he was gone. She then turned towards the door
"Do you think I should go too? It's also been some time since I did some exercise?"-Suletta asked herself out loud as Miorine only grunted to her pillow
"It's your vacation, you don't need to train all the time. This is the time we are allowed to sleep until 9:00 and not care about the consequences"-Miorine said though her pillow before returning to sleep, Suletta continued to look at the door, before nodding and also falling back asleep
"So, how is the mood?"-Damon asked as he ran on a treadmill next to Akatsuki, to which he only turned his head confused
"The mood?"-he asked as the redhead only raised his eyebrow
"Really? Today is the 15th, you know, the day we are supposed to dock on Mars's orbit?"-Damon asked as Akatsuki, while running facepalmed
"Ah yes! Im slowly losing the perception of time, long voyages tend to do that with me"-Akatsuki said as Miru, who was currently sitting on a bench and drawing something in her sketchbook chimed in
"First, what about your trip to Mercury? Second, at least you're not Nika and Katma who fly all the way to Titan to enjoy Christmas"-she said as Akatsuki stopped his treadmill before jumping off and grabbing his water bottle
"First reply, that trip to Mercury was necessary as I had to be bio connected with Barbatos. Second, yeah im lucky. And now I'll ask a question myself, what are you drawing?"-Akatsuki asked peaking in to Miru's sketchbook, and got kinda confused by the picture. It showed him, jumping out of Barbatos's cockpit and sucker punching someone who looked like Shaddiq wearing Michaelis's armour with a visible hole for the face in the head. The picture also showed other Grassley pilots all laying defeated in a pulp as their suits were mashed up into a giant ball, as Aerial, Kuiper, Jogaila and the Aiolos with Chuchu's Demi Trainer circling around them in the sky with the Zoworts sitting in the background. Miru only chuckled seeing his reaction
"It's only a sketch, not finished yet. Consider this the propaganda version of the duel"-Miru said as Akatsuki took a closer look and sighing
"Of course, why would I wear that skin-tight M/J pilot suit rather than the accurate Holder uniform?"-Akatsuki asked as Miru raised an eyebrow
"Well excuse me for believing that something resembling a superhero suit looks better than a suit resembling a sack of potatoes, although that colour scheme looks great with you. I can't wait to finish it and show it to Till when we come back"-Miru said as Damon walked up and bended towards his sister
"Oh I see, you two have been rather close since you two worked on that logo"-Damon teased as Miru pushed his face away with her hand
"Focus on your relationship, speaking of which"-Miru said as Damon's notebook that laid on the bench begun to ring, the only to blondes in the room had shared the same thought and that was 'Renee' followed by a sigh. Damon on the other hand smiled before walking up towards the bench and grabbing his notebook
"Hello beautiful"-he said as Miru and Akatsuki shared a look expecting a good show. Meanwhile millions of kilometres away Renee was sitting on a large bed wearing nothing but a bathrobe and a towel over her wet head
"Hey babe, how is your trip?"-Renee asked overlooking her nails, meanwhile in the small gym Damon let out a sigh before sitting on the bench
"Well, today is the day we are finally docking. According to the captain we should be there in 6 hours or so"-Damon said as Renee sighed
"You know, I did say you could come with me right?"-She asked as Damon nodded before looking back at Miru and Akatsuki
"You did, but I wanted to meet all my bros and older sisters again after all these months, stick a bit with my guys and gals. Im sure you get it right?"-Damon asked as Renee turned around to look at the busted photo of her and her friends from the Grassley academy
"Yeah, I get it. Call me when you reach Mars, and you BETTER make it up for me when you come back!"-Renee said as Damon chuckled
"I will I will don't worry, hell I was thinking about doing a duo duel with you. Since I have couple of challengers on my list and I don't feel like dragging Miru into this"-Damon said as Renee sighed
"Let me guess, my ex-emergency boyfriends? That actually sounds like fun, I'll ask Sabina about it. And say hello to Miru from me"-Renee added smugly as Damon nodded
"I will, bye, for now"-Damon smugly said as Renee smirked
"bye, for now"-Renee replied as the call ended with Damon turning towards the two, both with amused expressions on their faces, with the redhead only smugly smiling
"As you can see my relationship is going well, in contrast to you two"-he replied as then both of them looked like they were trying to pierce him with their eyes
"Ah come on, she may seem a bit rude but she has some good inside"-Damon said as Miru sighed
"Yeah we know, you ploughed though it yourself"-Miru said as Akatsuki had to put his hand on mouth to hold down his chuckling much to Damon's displeasure hidden behind a sigh
Miorine played with the "meal" she received at the cantina with Suletta who sat in front of her happily digging into the food. The silver haired bride on the other hand wasn't seeing the appeal of the military rations
"How the hell can you eat it?"-Miorine asked overlooking towards other TSC employees happily chatting over rations
"It's not that bad Miorine, I mean you ate it for the last 14 days straight"-Suletta said while swallowing as Miorine let out a sigh
"Because the food we bought at the border had run out! I could've bring some Ramen cups like I insisted but no because "health". And yes we lost a lot of time because of my invalid passport. I can't wait for some home cooked meal from miss Kudelia"-Miorine said as she finally swallowed a bit of food she received as the door to the cantina hissed open to reveal Akatsuki, Damon and Miru. All dressed in the regular TSC fatigues with their trademark jackets thrown over
"Hey Suletta, Hey Miorine"-Akatsuki welcome his fiancés as he alongside the Turbines had sat down at the table with each holding the box of their rations as they begun to dig in. Akatsuki seeing the disgust on Miorine's face turned towards her
"Don't worry, this is the last day for two weeks you'll be forced to eat MRE's. I can't wait for the moment I will lay head on my own pillow and eat my Mom's food!"-Akatsuki happily exclaimed as then Miru got confused for a second before pausing eating
"So, how will you sleep? Akatsuki has a large bed but I don't think you even passed the cuddling stage?"-Miru asked as the bride and her two Holders turned as crimson as the tomatoes in greenhouse that was kept intact by a hired gardening team.
"I'll take out the hot air mattress, Suletta and Miorine will just go to sleep on my bed"-Akatsuki said as the mentioned fiancés kept looking on their future husband
"What!? No! You're coming home! It's your bed and your room!"-Miorine said as Suletta nodded agreeing with it
"She is right Suki, we can't just come in and use your stuff. Especially when Miss Atrra had invited us"-Suletta added as Akatsuki looked like he was lost in the situation
"But im the husband, and isn't it my job to risk my comfort for you? I mean Dad has gotten himself almost killed numerous in order to protect Mom and Mama?"-Akatsuki asked as Miorine raised her eyebrow
"First, you are FAR from sacrificing your life for us. And two, as long as there will be no more those shit-tasting MRE's and I'll have the ability to plant those tomato seeds I'll be happy"-Miorine explained as a siren echoed throughout the cafeteria before the voice of the familiar AI picked up from it
"ATTENTION! IN 5 HOURS STANDARD TIME WE WILL REACH THE TSC MILITARY SPACE PORT, TRANSPORT CREWS RETURN TO YOUR POSTS AND PREPARE THE LOADOUT FOR TRANSPORTATION"-The Fumitan AI said as in the blink of an eye several of the food eaters had disappeared
"Wait, wont this be also the first time you find yourselves on a planet where you can normally breathe that is not Earth?"-Damon asked turning towards Suletta and Miorine who nodded
"We'll need some time to get use to the atmosphere but it shouldn't be that hard? Right?"-Suletta asked as the three Mars inhabitants shared a look as Akatsuki unfolded his arms
"Eh, it takes a bit of time, you'll feel a lot more heavier than in the colony climate but after an hour or so in the clear you'll feel great"-Akatsuki said trying to cheer up the two visitors. With Miorine only nodding while an expression of mild fear formed on her face. 'I just hope I won't puke over my meeting clothes'
"So, this for laundry, and this too, and this too, and this too, generally 85% of the clothes to the washing machine"-Akatsuki said as he was segregating his clothes in his briefcase with Suletta doing the same on her bed before turning to him, wanting to ask a question that has been clouding her mind ever since they left for Mars
"Um, Suki?"-Suletta asked as Akatsuki turned around with a confused facial expression and a risen eyebrow
"Yes?"-He replied confused as Suletta climbed down the ladder and sat in front of him
"Do you think… your Mom, the biological one will like me? I know you said that she always says hello to me but in not like Miorine or you"-Suletta said looking down to the ground as Akatsuki was now confused
"Like what?"-Akatsuki asked as Suletta continued looking down
"You are a sportsman, a celebrity and a hero to numerous people. Always caring for the little guys, Miorine is a heir to the Benerit group and now the youngest CEO in the Inner Rim, you two would be the perfect couple for photos and journalists. Even Katma, a fellow pilot who was associated with you even before you were engaged or even Miss Secelia who is a heir to the fourth largest company in the group…and I"-Suletta immediately stopped as she felt that he couldn't tell it to Akatsuki, who would say what she expected him to say
"And you what?"-Akatsuki asked as Suletta jolted up quickly putting a smile
"Im happy to take part of it! Be around you and enjoy the fact that you offered me the choice of going on this trip! And im sure your Mom will be exactly like you told me!"-Suletta exclaimed as Akatsuki, who definitely knew something was wrong with her, only nodded in agreement and put up a fake smile, 'I'll need to ask Mom to help me, all right Suletta! I'll allow to let you believe for what you believe, for now'-he thought as he came up with a reply
"Im sure of it, and no worry, she will love you like one of her own"-Akatsuki said as the door hissed open to reveal Miorine. She wore a business get-up of black high heels, a long skirt, and a black shirt with belt and matching jacket
"Are you two packed up?"-Miorine asked as Akatsuki and Suletta turned towards her. Both blushing looking at her in her formal clothing, of course the hormones played the part. As it was not only the vacation and Christmas break but also a business trip, that's what everyone knew with Akatsuki and Suletta knowing the truth that it was only a pretext
"Yep, I can't wait! You have that meeting an hour or so after our arrival?"-Akatsuki asked as Miorine nodded
"So, what is the plan?"-Suletta asked as Akatsuki opened his notebook to see what their plan was
"Well, we arrive in an hour, after that we go see Barbatos and I fire it up for the first test. And with that done we're, at least me and Suletta are going home to unpack and rest"-Akatsuki said as he zipped up his suitcase just as the Fumitan AI echoed throughout the speakers
"ATTENTION CREW, WE WILL BE DOCKING AT THE TSC SPACEPORT IN 30 MINUTES"-The AI announced as Akatsuki immediately rushed from the room and to the nearest window to see a floating red orb, while stained and far from its prime due to what happened during the calamity conflict 300 years ago. It was still his home that he loved and cherished. As fitting for the hero of the people who flew in Mars's colours with the "Iron Flower" symbol that thanks to the propaganda had served as an unofficial emblem of the colony, who fought… well didn't fought for true, justice and the "Martian" way as many would think. But at least it was building up the impression, a small tear fell down from his eye as he put his hand on the glass as if he wanted to caress the floating planet
"Im home"-He said as Suletta, Miorine had joined him
"So, this is Mars? It doesn't look as bad as the books describe it?"-Miorine said as Akatsuki nodded smiling
"It maybe has little dents and hits, and several death machines laying uncovered in its red sands. But I love it, it's my home after all"-Akatsuki said as Suletta looked marvellously at the planet
"Incredible, a planet where you can breathe on the surface. Look! The old-type 'O'Neil' cylinder colonies!"-Suletta said pointing at the three floating cylinders with both her and Miorine's attention being brought towards ships leaving the colonies and heading towards numerous asteroid fields
"Where are they going?"-Miorine asked as Akatsuki chimed in
"Those are the space miners, they go to the fields to search for valuable space trash and minerals inside the asteroids. Like Half-Metal, High Hardness Rare Alloy, Rare Metal, Minor scrapes of Permet to export. And some of the shady companies excavate, some other things…like Mobile Armour parts"-Akatsuki explained as Suletta and Miorine went white
"Are you serious? Isn't this one of the few things that both the Inner and Outer Rim agreed upon, outlawing anything related to the automated suits after the "Hashmal Incident" 17 years ago?"-Miorine asked as Akatsuki raised his eyebrow in surprise
"Damon slipped his tongue and I researched the rest myself, after the end of the "Mcgillis Fareed Incident" Gjallarhorn Peacekeeping Group and the Space Assembly League alongside smaller puppet governments signed a document outlawing any excavation of Deactivated Mobile Armours and related materials, like the Pluma"-Miorine said as Suletta turned towards her
"That's really impressive Miorine, you like doing research"-Suletta said as Miorine brushed her hair letting it fly for a second much to Akatsuki and Miorine's attention
"Of course, it was the battle that caused our future father-in-law to become a paraplegic. And the only time that the Fareed and Elion sides of the future Gjallarhorn Civil War united in the common goal"-Miorine said as they continued to look through the window mesmerising at the stars not realising that they were slightly caressing each other's hands The hatch slowly opened as Akatsuki, Suletta, Miorine, Damon and Miru all held their bags. After the hatch opened Akatsuki quickly jumped from the hatch and onto the cold metal floor
"Ah finally back in the Outer Rim!"-Akatsuki said as the small company made its way through the space sport as they saw numerous MCA officials running around them with all kinds of transport crates with Mobile Suits like the Reginlazes and surprisingly the mass produced Aiolos without the Core Block system and the GUND format, that were either being prepared for dropdown to the surface or for send-away to the colonies or the moon-based Plants sitting all around the port. And after a 45 minute walk the group found themselves on a small shuttle as they settled down in their seats
"Attention passengers, standby for atmospheric entry. We will reach the Tekkadan Security Corps headquarters in 45 minutes"-the voice of the captain said though the speakers as the shuttle detached itself from the space port as it begun to fly down towards Mars's atmosphere as Miorine couldn't help but let out a small smile seeing Akatsuki smile
"Ah finally home! I can't wait to tell all the bros about Renee!"-Damon said as he stretched his back, Miru only sighed as she continued to work on her sketch
"Right, and it looks like someone still cannot bury the excitement of coming home. Isn't your dad peaking you up?"-Miru asked as Akatsuki turned back towards her
"He did say he would help me with the bags, he will attend the meeting of the board with Miorine. And it won't be their first meeting"-He explained as Miorine looked down in embarrassment before Suletta turned towards her
"You met Suki's Dad?"-Suletta asked as Miorine grunted in agreement
"It was more of a passing though, after the first duel with Guel and he was ordered to escort me out. The only thing I noticed was how uncanny the resemblance is between them, with only thing that differs is the colour of their hair"-Miorine continued as Miru joined back to the conversation
"And personality, and piloting style, and the way they show their emotions. Let's just say he's more like his Mom"-Miru said as after 20 minutes or so the shuttle finally settled down on the planet. Landing on the runway situated next to the Mars TSC headquarters. And as the door of the shuttle opened Suletta and Miorine begun to fill dizzy as both of them grabbed their heads
"I feel like my head is going to explode"-Suletta said as Akatsuki and Damon helped the girls up
"It's normal for non-Martians to feel like that when they come here. It often passes after an hour or so, but for now take these"-Akatsuki said as he reached down his pocket and took out a bottle of water and a box of pills and handed them over to Suletta and Miorine
"Dont worry, like i said its standard when you travel throughout the solar system and planets with different levels of terraformation. Learned that the hard way"-He said grabbing their bags plus Haro and making his way out of the shuttle, after peeking out he felt a warm breeze of Martian air hitting his face. Although it wasn't as pure and clean as the air in Asticassia it felt more welcoming and "at home", which wasn't anything weird considering it was home
"Enjoying being home?"-A voice asked as Akatsuki walked down the stairs with their bags to see his father
"Dad!"-Akatsuki exclaimed as he leaped towards Mikazuki letting go of Haro who fell down to the ground, while Akatsuki took his father into a hug
"Hey son"-Mikazuki replied letting go of him, just as the rest of passengers got down to the ground, Akatsuki just noticed it before turning back towards his father
"Oh, let me do the introductions. Dad, this Suletta Mercury and Miorine Rembran, my fiancés. Suletta, Miorine, this is my father, Mikazuki Augus, one of the commanders of TSC and Barbatos's former pilot"-Akatsuki said as backed off a bit allowing Suletta to stand in front of Mikazuki, shivering and panicking. 'Miorine was right, they really look alike'-she thought as she tried to yoke out anything, until Mikazuki reached out his hand that Suletta shook
"G-Great P-Pleasure to m-meet you sir!"-Suletta bubbled out shaking his hand as Mikazuki had a small smirk on his face. 'If someone told me she was such a great pilot I wouldn't believe them, she is exactly like Atrra back in the day'-he thought letting go of Suletta's hand as she stepped away allowing Miorine and Mikazuki to stare each other, with Mikazuki's gaze being hidden under his sunglasses. 'Is this some weird Inner Rim custom? That they greet each other like that?'-he thought hiding his confusement as Miorine on the other hand was thinking the opposite. 'He's judging me, is it because I showed him disrespect months ago?'-she thought as her instinct deducted that making contact first should ease up the tension, that doesn't exist. So she walked up to Mikazuki and thrusted out her hand
"And its Great Pleasure for me as well"-Miorine said as Mikazuki slightly risen his eyebrow. 'So they don't possess telepathy'-he thought as he shook his hand
"It is nice to meet you both, leave your bags on the car. We have an hour or so before the meeting, I have to run some errands and preparations to run, you want to see Barbatos right? Take to the level -2. Also, there is a surprise waiting for you in the glovebox"-Mikazuki said as he walked away
"Wait, you're leaving us?"-Akatsuki asked taking Haro back in his arms as Mikazuki turned around for a brief second
"We'll catch up during dinner, Mom's making Ramen"-He explained before walking down towards another building
"Wow, Mister Mikazuki had become quite the busy man since we last seen him. I remember him scolding us for playing war in the corn field on the farm"-Damon said as he put his suitcase in the back of the car they were provided with, a standard black TSC jeep. Miru just got on the back sighing
"Akatsuki did say he was working on some other top secret project, and now since Miss Kudelia works less due to her pregnancy Mr Mikazuki is the family's main breadwinner. So, the driver is obvious?"-Miru asked as she and Damon looked at Akatsuki who replied them with a smug grin, Suletta and Miorine only shared a confused look as they all got into the jeep.
"Wait Suki, your Dad there was a surprise in the glovebox. Whatever that is"-Suletta said as she was sitting in the passenger seat with Miorine, Damon and Miru residing in the back. Akatsuki reached out his hand to the glovebox, as he opened Suletta took out a large black key with a red ribbon over it and a small letter that laid next to it
"It was about time we bought you a car, its sitting under a canvas In the main building-signed Mom, now that is a Christmas gift"-Suletta read the letter out loud as Akatsuki examined the key, it was larger than normal keys, it had only one word engraved on it, "Lancia". And thanks to Katma being a car nerd he knew which Anno Domini car brands were the best. And knowing how much he loved to drive his Mom's car he knew he was for a treat
"Well, let's see. Buckle up everyone"-Akatsuki commanded starting the engine, before suddenly launching as various screams and laughs could be heard from a small jeep that was beginning to break the allowed speeds
"CANT YOU DRIVE MORE CAREFULLY!?"-Miorine screamed to Akatsuki's ear as she tried to get though Damon's and Miru's laughs
"NO CHANCE!"-Akatsuki countered also laughing before they finally reached their destination, Akatsuki pulled the handbrake as the jeep entered the building leaving hot tire marks on the floor gaining everyone's attention
"Hey everyone, we're back!"-Akatsuki exclaimed between breaths with Haro under his arm as he helped Suletta get out of the jeep who was shaking from the roller-coaster she received. Miorine only corrected her hair as she got out of the jeep and grabbed him by the collar
"I swear to god if you pull off another stunt like this behind the wheel, I'll kill you"-Miorine growled as Akatsuki nodded as meanwhile Damon and Miru unloaded their bags
"Well then, I guess this is goodbye for now. We have our own reunions"-Damon said as he and Akatsuki fist pumped as Miru shook Suletta's hand
"Don't worry, Akatsuki's mom is a great cook. We'll see each other on the company dinner!"-Miru said the Turbine siblings left the trio alone, Akatsuki then took a look around the HQ as several people walked up to him and made several high fives
"So, are we going to see Barbatos or not?"-Miorine asked as she looked at her notebook checking the hour. Akatsuki then pointed at the nearest elevator
"If I remember correctly this is the elevator that leads underground"-Akatsuki said as they walked inside the Elevator and after brief trying to cram in the ride downwards begun, a long ride. And Miorine couldn't help but notice Akatsuki's grin
"You seem excited"-She said as Akatsuki turned towards her
"You bet! Every iteration had a significant upgrade! And in contrast to the AA where I had active role in its development, hence the wings but I was 10 so its understandable. But now, aside from asking me how much I weight and how tall I am I know nothing, not even blueprints or concepts"-Akatsuki said as the elevator reached its destination. As the door opened it revealed a hangar that was already showing signs of wear out, TSC engineers running around the place as they saw several mobile suits, like the Hekija-Kai's, Shiden 2's and Shiden 3's alongside freshly delivered mass-produced Aiolos. But there was something else, another suit laying under a canvas. The trio made their way down the balustrade and finally stood down on the ground. But Akatsuki noticed someone else. An older dark-skinned man, who wore a white T-shirt and grey pants. However Miorine and Suletta noticed something else, that the man didn't have normal legs, instead seeing two grey prosthetics
"Gramps Nadi!"-Akatsuki called out as the man turned towards incoming blonde
"Akatsuki! I forgot that today was the day of your return, getting older isn't really pleasant when you forget simple things like that"-Nadi said as Akatsuki raised his eyebrow
"It's not that bad, how is miss Merebitt doing?"-Akatsuki asked as Nadi smiled
"Doing well, in fact we are expecting our fourth kid"-Nadi said as Akatsuki smiled
"Congrats, we're here to see Barbatos. Where's Uncle Yamagi and Aunt Eco?"-Akatsuki asked as Nadi wiped his head confused
"They're still in space…In fact I was only supervising this project. Your Dad brought someone from the central army to handle Barbatos's repair process, and oh boy last time I've seen this machine being so dented was before you were born. That's good for me since I can go home earlier, and from what I've seen she did a good job"-Nadi explained as Suletta and Miorine walked up to them with Nadi pointing at a figure in a lab coat sitting on a chair next to the covered Mobile Suit and a large silver briefcase, doing something on a laptop
"You see that woman? Go towards her and she'll explain everything to you, I need to go home to see Merebitt. So im sorry we weren't able to talk for long, and congratulations about your marriage. Goodbye Akatsuki and see you in a week"-Nadi said as he walked away from the trio as Akatsuki then turned around towards Suletta and Miorine, who only pointed at the woman in the lab coat. He sighed as they walked up towards the woman.
"And we're done with that"-Seras said as she focused on her laptop not noticing the trio who only stared at her
"Hello? Excuse me?"-Akatsuki asked as Seras turned towards him, with a grin on her face
"Mister Akatsuki Augus! It's a pleasure"-Seras said, getting up from her chair and shaking Akatsuki's hand
"The same…miss"-Akatsuki replied as Seras immediately paused him
"Doctor Seras Leblanc, Mars Central Army's GUND expert and top Mobile Suit engineer. And those must be your fiancés"-Seras explained as her expression went numb when her eyes saw Suletta, and immediately her confusement on why Ericht Samaya was a 17 year old girl and ALIVE. But her instinct made her keep her mouth shut as she thrusted her hand in front of Suletta
"Oh, im Suletta Mercury! Akatsuki's fiancé"-Suletta introduced herself as Seras nodded
"Ah yes, the pilot of that other Gundam that has been causing a ruckus in the whole army's R&D department. 'Where did the Inner Rimmers get a suit like that?!' and 'Do we have anything that could counter it?!' could be heard for hours, ah the ties am I right?"-She tried to joke as a way to diffuse the situation within her mind, but to the outside world it came out as awkward
"And I am Miorine Rembran, the CEO of GUND-ARM Inc. and Akatsuki's other fiancé"-Miorine introduced herself while taking out her hand that Seras shook
"My pleasure"-Seras thought as the sight of CEO Delling's daughter was bringing amusement to her face 'Using Gundams to save lives? Doctor Cardo used to say the same thing, didn't work out 300 years ago and hasn't worked out 21 years ago, what makes her think that it will work now? But I want to see it'-she thought as then Miorine pointed at the black canvas
"So, that's where Barbatos is hiding?"-She asked as Seras nodded before releasing a large whistle
"PULL IT UP!"-She exclaimed as the black canvas was lifted upwards by the technicians on the upper balustrade to reveal, well Barbatos, but it wasn't the Barbatos the trio were used to. Especially its pilot
"Let me introduce you to TSC-G-08 Gundam Barbatos Eden/Inferno. You thought only Shin Sei can rebuild Gundam frames? Well you are wrong"-Seras exclaimed as Akatsuki stared down his suit. The armour had visibly changed as well as the colour palette, with white losing its prominence. The Tri-clawed feet were replace by classic two-clawed similar to Barbatos's prior iterations. Painted in red and the newcomer to the palette, black. The legs instead of pure white were now in a colour that seemed like a mix of grey and white, not exactly white but not exactly shiny, the thigh armour was now painted dark-blue and black with the addition of longer side-skirts that were also dark blue and white. The front flaps were now also dark blue with white on the vents. But what was interesting resided on the on the side-skirts. The old beam handgun was replaced by a larger model as it was visibly taking more space in its holster, and on the other side-skirt, oh boy. The trademark Hard-Metal Katana was there, but it wasn't alone, on top of it there was another short sword that could be compared to Japanese shoto
"You like the new weapons, that's not all. See those double cylinders in the back of the back-skirt between the GUND-bits? While in the rest mode it serves as manoeuvre engines for the wings of Helios, but that for later, I managed to wire it with the handgun so that in a similar fashion to a GUND-bit it will attach to the handgun, not only you have quadruple the fire rate of that old Bit-rifle that was stuck in 99 but also double the raw power behind it"-Seras explained as Akatsuki's, Suletta's and Miorine's eyes continued to travel upward. After passing though the standard frame the chest also remained partially the same, same old colour mix of dark blue and white with the giant GUND receptor remaining on its spot. The head also received new armour, now the cheek spikes were also changed as now their colour was black and instead of the length were now going up almost going behind the V-fin. The only place that remained white was the face itself with Barbatos's trademark red chin and pair of green eyes. The rest of the head-armour was dark blue with the symbol of the iron flower on a red circle with a white trim. The V-fin on the other hand was lengthened as it was repainted black, with the head GUND-receptor remaining unchanged. And now the most shocking part of the redesign was noticed, Barbatos has lost its wings. Instead having two extensions ending with two prongs and something that could be mistaken for a plane nozzle and each having two of the GUND-bits attached to both sides
"Excuse me? But where are the wings?"-Akatsuki asked as Seras chuckled
"That old outdated thrust system? Bah don't tell me about that, here we have something your father was testing for me, see those extensions right? Those are not thrusters, we call them the "Wings of Helios". In reality those are beam propulsion generators similar to those on smaller star-ships that allow them to fly both in space and in Earth's atmosphere. That alongside the thrusters on the hips helps generate a beam field creating propulsion and by that you can soar though the stars way easier. Although the problem was with powering the damn thing, so we experimented with the power source"-Seras explained as Akatsuki, although amazed by all the changes and modifications. Had risen his eyebrow when he heard about the power source
"Experiment?"-He asked as Seras nodded
"Yeah, that lonely class two reactor wouldn't be able to power such a generator, let alone two responsible for both sides. Not even mentioning the GUND-bits, henceforth we went a bit retro with its power source, although you need to watch out for it. Instead of putting one, reactor. We put two, micronized "class two" reactors that according to calculations generate the same level of output as a small class shuttle. But it did allow for better weight distribution, so we brought back the long tailblade rather than the small one"-Seras explained as now Akatsuki's attention went to the arms. Seeing that they were mostly the same. Same dark blue shoulders with the red iron flower symbol. Going all the way down to the forearms that alongside the hidden beam saber sheaths and attached GUND-bits remained mostly unchanged. With forearms still remaining white. The only noticeable change was the colour of the hand-armour that changed from white to black.
"It's, Its incredible..."-Akatsuki said mesmerising at the suit before Miorine turned towards Seras
"When can we expect the blueprints? As a part of the agreement with TSC any suit related to the GUND-format and belonging to the security corps its data gets retroactively shared with us"-Miorine explained a Seras frowned
"THAT will be settled during your meeting with the officials, and this is not the end"-Seras explained before reaching out of the large silver briefcase and showing it in front of Akatsuki. Who then put Haro on the floor before grabbing the case and noticing how large it was
"Your new pilot suit, and you are supposed to WEAR it at all costs all the time you're piloting Barbatos"-Seras said as Akatsuki opened the briefcase and took a look over its contents. A large helmet with a really bulky yet round design, similar to his current helmet. It had the same colour scheme as his old M/J piloting suit. It also had a weirdly large forehead armour that was almost interfering with the visor that was green for some reason, it also retained its trademarks with the Iron flower on the right side and his name in a stylised font and his blood type, however catching Akatsuki's attention was something that resembled the Holder symbol but really wore down. The main suit on the other hand seemed liked packed with technology, it looked like a tight body suit with only protection pads on shins and shoulders. The gloves were more resembling gauntlets with each possessing a small screen and few dials
"This suit tracks your bpm, blood pressure, brain activity, shows G's your body absorbs and when needed deploys painkillers. It also protects your brain from frying due to the format overdose. This thing was probably more expensive to make than a used Graze so please be careful with it"-Seras explained as Suletta peaked in to look at the suit
"Excuse me, I understand that you are a scientist and scientists know this stuff better but is it all necessary?"-she asked as Seras shook her head
"And do you want your fiancé to get fried alive while being put though a data storm? It's called safety measures, well mister Augus, what are you waiting for? Put it on!"-Seras exclaimed as Akatsuki looked around himself before turning towards Suletta and Miorine, and then back at Seras, who only sighed
"There is a dressing room down there"-She said pointing at a door as Akatsuki chuckled before quickly rushing off towards the dressing room, and locking himself inside, for 20 minutes. It was so weird that all three plus Akatsuki's Haro stood in front of the door
"Everything ok in there?"-Miorine asked as meanwhile Akatsuki was blushing while putting on the piloting suit, finally managing to shove himself inside. He swallowed his pride as he made the question
"It's kinda tight in the bottom"-Akatsuki said as Seras sighed
"Spin the dial on the left wrist!"-Seras said as Akatsuki located the gauge that resided on top of one of the two small tft displays that were responsible for the gauntlets's bulkiness. He turned the dial as he saw that the suit let out the hiss of air as he felt it loose up a little. After taking a look of himself he opened the door to reveal himself to everyone. The suit made look other everyman suits used either by Asticassia students or even TSC and Domminicus pilots looked like rags found in the trash. Of course it was painted in Akatsuki's trademark colours that were also Mars national colours. In contrast to the old suit hoverer the colour distribution here was a little more brave. The front featured a diagonal cut that was separating the two main colours. Red on the top and blue on the bottom cut by a white line. The trademark white Iron Flower residing on the place of the heart. The sleeves were dark blue with the small iron flowers in red circles residing on the shoulder pads with red stripes in the centre cutting though all the way to the gauntlets that were painted black. The lower part was dark blue with red stripes going all the way to the black boots. All the technology that was shoved into the suit mainly resided in the back and around the belt spot. With noticeable metallic parts forming a shape that could be compared to a tactical combat belt that featured not only the additional systems but also a holster for a pistol that could be removed. The back aside from the Permet plug was also way more bulked up, showing in as many life support systems and digital connectors with Barbatos. The back was also painted dark blue and featured a big "AA" initial in translucent green. But Suletta and Miorine weren't focused on that, as Akatsuki was right, this suit was really tight. ESPECIALLY in the bottoms, a crimson blush covered their faces as Akatsuki was turning around trying to find what was wrong with him. But the shock died quickly as Miorine intertwined
"He is supposed to wear it all the time? You know that we have school regulations and that he is a Holder? According to the school rules he has wear his symbols"-Miorine explained as Seras smirked
"Mister Augus, please turn the dial on the right wrist!"-Seras said as Akatsuki swallowed air before turning the dial. As suddenly the suit begun to shine as the red and blue were soon replaced by gold and white. The iron flowers suddenly disappeared before being replaced by the Holder symbols, the helmet also changed its colours with the only thing from the old colour scheme being the iron flower that now shared its spot with the holder symbol. A transformation so impressive that managed to get a whistle out of Miorine. Before suddenly everything turned on as tft screens on his wrists lit up as the insides of his helmet had also lit up
"Let's just say I was impressed by the ability of Asticassia's suits to change colours so why not put here. Although the budget was running thin so the Holder variant so both sides are white rather than having two, I also have a programme for your Haro and some list of personal mods I could do for you if you want"-Seras said as Akatsuki took a look around himself smirking
"As long as those mods will include an eye projector I'll agree, but for now I want to activate Barbatos"-Akatsuki said as Seras smirked
"Can do"
"Are you ready?"-Seras asked though the comms as she, Suletta and Miorine were sitting in front of the laptop with the camera feed showing Barbatos's inner camera, while Haro had a pen drive plugged in its slot. Akatsuki meanwhile put on the helmet as he noticed that even inside of the helmet featured a display, showing mostly the same telemetry as the tft screens with few more additions. Like radio feed and something written called "Eden" mode in the top right corner of his display. As he finally plugged himself in he felt the newly installed seat change directly to his position as meanwhile the steering yokes arrived to his hands and pedals appeared under his feet. He then reached to the main console that still kept the touchpad design, following the basic start up routine. This time however the cockpit was much more shaky due to now having two reactors instead of one. 'Is this how Dad felt every time?'-he asked himself as the monitor lit itself to life
TSC-G-08 GUNDAM BARBATOS EDEN/INFERNO
"Yeah, but I have one more question. What does the whole "Eden/Inferno" mean?"-Akatsuki asked as Seras wiped her forehead as Suletta, Miorine and even Haro glared at her
"I detect a spike of ACTH from doctor Leblanc"-Haro said as it flapped his wings
"Are you sure you want to know?"-Seras asked as Akatsuki showed a thumbs up causing the doctor only to sigh
"Remember the times during your duels with Stellaris and Grassley? The ones where you almost fried your brain and almost lost the control of your limbs?"-Seras asked as Akatsuki nodded
"So this is what will allow me to tap into the deeper connection? Well let's do it!"-Akatsuki exclaimed as Seras's forehead continued to get covered by sweat
"It would be more wise if we took the suit out or work though all the diagnostics?"-Seras asked as Akatsuki turned his head
"Doc, sometimes you need to run before you can walk"-Akatsuki said as Seras nodded before inserting code into her laptop. As suddenly inside Barbatos's cockpit the monitor shut down as the forehead portion of his helmet slid down covering his eyes
"What the?"-was the only thing Akatsuki could spat out as he felt immerse pain hit his head, but surprisingly for Seras he didn't let out any screams, no "TURN IT OFF!" or "GET ME OUT OF HERE!". Just plain acceptance. But not everyone took it that way
"What the hell is going on with him?!"-Miorine asked as Seras pointed upwards towards Barbatos's eye-cameras, that changed their colour from green to red. As meanwhile Akatsuki felt like he was going though the most extreme roller-coaster there is, passing colours and something that resembled Permet lines all to end with a sudden halt. As he opened his eyes he immediately felt something similar, he wasn't in the cockpit, just like the battle with Stellaris. He had that deeper connection he was chasing ever since that duel
"W-What's going on?"-Akatsuki asked as Miorine and Suletta were only seeing Akatsuki's body holding the steering yokes. Seras at first was surprised at how easily it went but then her scientific mind took over
"This is the "deeper connection" you reported, I called it the "Inferno Mode". The suit is now only the extension of your body. Henceforth the pilot suit was design in a way to allow you for traversing though that connection safely. The reactors will also generate higher output so please watch out for that. The data from your helmet is also displayed in Inferno mode, kinda like in a video game. A dangerous one using military technology but still"-Seras said as meanwhile Akatsuki was getting used to his new "body". Most people would probably be scared for life after realising their limbs were now those of a Mobile Suit's, but not Akatsuki Augus. Who felt incredible, so otherworldly and yet right. Perhaps it was something from his subconscious, but he didn't care. And now the only thing Akatsuki was thinking about is how this system will perform on the battlefield. As minutes passed Seras finally thought that for now it was enough
"Ok, you got the taste. Deactivate"-Seras said as suddenly Akatsuki was halted back though the mental roller-coaster and back to the cockpit as the forehead visor retracted back revealing Akatsuki, who was now getting used back to something as simple as breathing. He took off his helmet before opening the cockpit hatch and jumping out
"WHAT WAS THAT FOR!?"-Akatsuki screamed as Seras unfolded her arms
"We need to prepare Barbatos for transport to the surface, you want to test it out in the field right?"-Seras asked as Akatsuki nodded before once again turning back towards Barbatos, his mind still shaking from the first ride with the inferno mode. He only sighed before walking down towards Miorine and Suletta
"So, how did felt?"-Suletta asked as Akatsuki smiled
"Incredible, and I can't find other words to describe it"-He explained as he looked at his hands, feeling like had the entire world under his feet. That was until Miorine hit him on the back
"Ok Ok, now go get changed. I have a meeting and you two are going home"-She said before leaving, much to her two Grooms puzzlement
"Ok, so according to the janitors it should be somewhere around here!"-Akatsuki said pointing at the covered car, Suletta only turned to Akatsuki with puzzlement
"Uhm Suki? Was it wise to leave Haro with that doctor?"-she asked as Akatsuki shrugged his arms
"If she can do the same things with Haro as she did with Barbatos then im trusting her 1000 percent! Besides if my Dad puts his life in her hands then I can do it. Now let's uncover this beast"-Akatsuki said as he grabbed the canvas before ripping it off to reveal a beautiful shining dark blue Lancia Kimera 037 Evo with custom painted rims, that only differed from regular wheels by having custom rosso corsa trim. On the hood there also resided a small letter that Suletta quickly grabbed and read though it
" "We modified it to your liking, by that we made it 100% bulletproof. It's also tagged with GPS tracking the device and as you can see painted in your colours, have fun". It is really is a nice car"-Suletta said as Akatsuki opened the door and got inside. Since like most middle ages car brands it was built for order, the driver seat was on the right side to fit Mars's left-hand traffic rule. Akatsuki marvellously caressed the steering wheel as he managed the fraction of the window.
"Hey Suletta! Are you getting in or not?"-He exclaimed as Suletta swallowed air, and knowing how dangerous Akatsuki's driving was for a mere mortal. She got in, and immediately fastened her seatbelt
"All righty then, let's go!"-Akatsuki said as he turned the key before pressing the starter button, making 2.1 litre straight four engine lit-up to life much to Suletta's surprise as vibrations hit her back
"505 horsepower, 2150 cubic centimetres with a six-speed gearbox. Let's see what it can do!"-Akatsuki said as he prepared, pressing the clutch and putting the first gear. That was until Suletta put her hand on Akatsuki's left shoulder
"Suki…please don't overdo it. I don't want to meet your mom with vomit covering my uniform"-Suletta said in such a pleading tone that caused Akatsuki to sigh. As he drove out of TSC HQ, safe and sound before finding themselves out in the Martian countryside, after driving onto the main road Akatsuki looked at Suletta, who was admiring the view from the window. Looking like child in a amusement park.
"So, how's Mars for now?"-Akatsuki asked as Suletta turned towards him smiling a toothy grin
"Amazing, there is so much to see on this planet! But for now I want to rest…And meet your Mother!"-She quickly added as Akatsuki smiled before noticing the familiar road that will take them to his family farm. Suletta only marvellously gazed at numerous crops and fields that made Miorine's greenhouse look like a small display. Akatsuki was also surprised by how well his Dad was able to keep the farm afloat. Since he was afraid that with him gone he would have much time dealing with such a vast terrain. After five minutes or so the blue Lancia finally parked in front the two-story farmhouse, Akatsuki's childhood home. Meanwhile inside the house Atrra was shivering, knowing for what was about to happen in the span of few minutes. She cleaned the house as much as possible. Got the ruckus under Christmas tree so that no needles would fall on the floor, not to mention the various air-cleaners planted around the house. 'Don't worry Atrra, you got this, and you'll make perfect first impression!'-she thought as meanwhile Akatsuki managed to get the car parked inside the garage. That in reality could really be called a barn, since a side from Atrra's daily car there was a whole MOBILE WORKER modified for farm work, aside from some other minor farming equipment. And surprisingly quite a low level of not-sold crops. 'Perhaps the business was boomin while I was gone'-he thought as he parked the Lancia. Before quickly jumping out of the car and rushing towards Suletta opening the passenger door for her. Causing the redhead to blush, Akatsuki then searched though his pockets looking for his wallet, and search though the attached keys
"No, No, No, Aha!"-Akatsuki exclaimed finding the right key before opening the door. Letting Suletta go first as she was the witness the Augus residence. Taking a quick look around searching for a place to put her shoes. And managed to localise a shoe tray, she quickly took off her shoes just as Akatsuki closed the door
"Mom? Are you home?"-Akatsuki asked taking off his shoes. He then gestured to Suletta to go with him, to which she rapidly nodded. And so they walked towards the living room, allowing Suletta to visibly scan though the house. And while it wasn't anything really luxurious. Compared to her living quarters on Mercury and to the room she inhabited in the Earth House it really was a villa. It was a fairly simple house, build with bricks and wood. Suletta's eyes then travelled to the living room. A simple arrangement with a big couch, a small table in front of it. And ending with a large tv table with numerous devices like a DVD player and a tv decoder on the shelves and stuff like movies. Then her eyes travelled to the kitchen/dining room combo. With high end kitchen utensils that made It looked like their single fridge was more expensive then the Earth House's entire kitchen. Then she looked towards their dining table. And immediately noticed the two additional chairs, Akatsuki on the other hand was focused on the figure of his mother, who was staring at the blank tv
"Mom? It's me, im home"-Akatsuki announced as Atrra immediately jolted up from the couch and turned towards Akatsuki. Before immediately rushing to hug him
"My baby is finally home"-Atrra silently said as she was close to crushing him. Suletta was only puzzled by the level of the affection Akatsuki's mother was giving to him. Her own mother was never so passionate about showing it. Speaking of her she thought that she should call her. Meanwhile Akatsuki was trying not to pass out from the lack of oxygen
"Mom, you're going to choke me"-he said as Atrra finally let him go
"Im just so happy to see you back home in one piece, and this must be"-Atrra then quickly walked up towards Suletta before suddenly hugging
"My name is Atrra Mixta Augus, Akatsuki's biological mother and your future Mother-In-Law"-Atrra announced as Suletta although confused yet happy for such a nice introduction returned the hug, shivering like her future Mother-In-Law
"And im Suletta Mercury, Aksatsu, well one of Akatsuki's fiancés"-Suletta introduced herself as Atrra backed away trying to get herself under control
"Im gonna prepare tea, meanwhile you two can get settled in Akatsuki's room"-Atrra said as Akatsuki and Suletta made their way to the second floor. The emotional mother got to work on tea wiping sweat from her forehead. 'That went easily, now the talk that's a whole different story'-she thought as she prepared the tea with her attention also focused on the "surprise" she was preparing for Akatsuki for dinner. Meanwhile the two grooms finally reached their destination, before their attention was suddenly shifted towards the things that laid on the floor next to Akatsuki's room. Both of them peaked in to the room that resided next to his and both were surprised. It was a baby room, a girl's baby room. As if Fumitan was already walking among them
"Well, Dad and Mama seem to be fully prepared for Fumitan's arrival. But that's not important right now"-Akatsuki said as they entered Akatsuki's room
"Home sweet home, welcome to my room! I'll get the air mattress ready"-Akatsuki said as Suletta couldn't stop but gaze upon numerous things he had here. Especially since the only thing she had was Aerial. First and foremost her attention went towards the trophy cabinet, filled with numerous trophies from numerous Mobile Suit tournaments and contests. With the beautiful M/J Galaxia trophy taking the centre. Although it was obvious she still asked her question
"Is this all yours?"-She asked marvellously gazing at cabinet, Akatsuki only turned towards her smiling
"Of course! Decade worth of sports achievements!"-Akatsuki happily announced as Suletta then turned to the wall that resided next to the door. That was filled with paper clippings and framed magazine articles and covers. Catching enough of her attention to walk up towards them as she begun to read them though
"Look at the headlines, 'Stunning young man crashes much older competition at the tender age of seven', 'The "Demon Incarnate" wins the Mars's sphere Graze spec tournament, as the youngest winner in history', 'first win abroad! "Let's just say it's one of the best sources of information on how well to hide yourself when going to the big city, besides judging by the stunts I pulled off in school THOSE magazines probably will shit on me"-Akatsuki said pointing at the stash of mail, magazines and stuff addressed to him. Since he was going to school he re-addressed all the things sent to him from his works e-mail to TSC's HQ. And that meant tons of paper. But he didn't really care for that, in fact he was surprised to see how much there was less stuff to read though then he was expecting. Suletta then looked up to the ceiling to two model kits of the Jogaila and Barbatos AA soaring though the skies, or Akatsuki's ceiling. Before looking towards his shelves and seeing tons of model kits, before turning back to the stash of papers and noticing more Model Kits on the computer and the monitor. Looking under the desk she saw an air compressor and additional drawers with tools
"I know you said you built Model Kits but never expected to see so many"-Suletta said as Akatsuki settled the hot air mattress before plugging in the electric pump to the nearest socket
"One of the privileges of being able to handle your own contracts for merch, especially when it comes to Model Kit Companies, and aside from those neat royalties thanks to Barbatos Kits selling like Hot Cakes, I get free model kits!"-Akatsuki said as Suletta walked up to him and turned towards the right side of the room next to the trophy cabinet. Under a small shelf that held Akatsuki's favourite books she looked up to see a view she always wanted in her own quarters and something fairly common in most anime she saw. Posters, a lot of posters, many of them worn off as seemingly hang up years ago. Some of them were just plain military propaganda and martial arts related, but some of them were from the 112 and 116 M/J Grand Prix posters alongside some other lesser events. But some of them were as fresh as from 119 and 120. Especially the framed 120 M/J Grand Prix finale poster, that painted the battle between him and Stellaris in quite a dramatic manner
"'Incredible battle of the century! Two Gladiators fighting for the Ultimate Prize, Stellaris vs Augus!' Who wrote this?"-Suletta asked as Akatsuki unfolded his arms. And just as he wanted to try to explain it he heard his mother from downstairs
"Tea's ready!"-Atrra announced as Akatsuki and Suletta went down to the living room
Nervous wasn't really a word that Miorine could use to describe her emotions right now. Especially since the meeting that she was supposed to partake in was already taking place without her. Her mind once again run though the words Mikazuki said to her. '"Wait here, you'll be called inside when we will reach that part of the meeting"'-she recited as the stone cold face of Akatsuki's father appeared in her mind. And how it was contrasting with how his son most of the time. Compared to soft and gentle yet incredibly passionate facial expression of her son that caused to…get interested. His Dad looked cold and hid all his emotions behind a poker face. Like he was hiding some terrible secrets from his past. Which was true according to sources she had, that being the internet and Domminicus archives. So she sat and waited, and she finally got her shot as the door opened
"Miss Rembran, you're being asked to enter"-Someone said peaking their head out of the door. Miorine nodded as she grabbed a memory stick out of her purse and walked inside taking a long deep breath. As she walked in she was not only Mikazuki, Azee and Lafter who wanted to wave at her before getting hit in the back of her head. But also Orga and Eugene who she only saw in the photos
"And so, we enter the final phase of the meeting. Miss Rembran, you come closer"-Orga said as Miorine noticed how the mood was much higher than the Benerit meetings. 'Maybe because even after all the things that happened to them they still haven't moved from their "We started in a garage with only crayons and lighter fluid"'-she thought before quickly cutting herself off as she looked at Mikazuki, and it felt like she was being eyed though the entire room. 'I want to go home already, this was only a pretext wasn't it? And I want dinner'-Mikazuki thought as he stared at the window completely omitting Miorine
"I have brought some data to share with all of you"-Miorine said as Orga clapped his hands and the windows were immediately covered. Miorine plugged in her memory stick as the projector begun to display the information Miorine prepared
"This is the investor data we managed to collect over the last month, as you can see TSC now has around 75% inert In comparison to other investors"-Miorine begun as for the next 40 minutes she continued explaining things like finances and investment plans. 'I get it she wanted to make a good impression in front of Mika but isn't that a little too much?'-he thought as he risen his hand
"Excuse me Miss Rembran, or Miss Augus in the making however you prefer it. We're happy with data, but we would be more interested in results. Or at least blueprints of results"-Orga said as Miorine, although mildly infuriated by being called Miss Augus. Nodded and showed blueprints of the prosthetic legs designed by Nika
"This prototype is final stages of development, however we are also developing a new concept"-Miorine said as she showed another blueprint. This time catching more attention as everyone looked at the blueprint showing a spine
"Although this is only a concept, this spinal implant is our number two priority. It is addressed to people that suffered damage of their nervous system. Allowing them to live without the worry of having to change batteries"-Miorine explained as everyone sitting at the table then looked at Miorine, before turning towards Mikazuki
"What's wrong? I have something on my face?"-Mikazuki asked as Orga clapped his hands
"Well then, I believe that's all we need to know. I declare this meeting done"-Orga said as everyone begun to leave the room leaving Miorine puzzled on what to do next
"Come on"-Mikazuki said gesturing with his head as Miorine followed him
The car ride was… Awkward to say the least. As silence was echoing throughout the car. Mikazuki on the other hand was trying to remain calm in the situation, he turned around to see Miorine staring though the window watching Martian countryside. 'Come on Mikazuki, Atrra was training you for that. What teenagers do these days?'-he thought as a perfect…Although in his head question formed
"So…Did you and Akatsuki have sex yet?"-Mikazuki asked as Miorine would spat out her water if she had any in her mouth
"What?! NO!"-Miorine speaking by her rational side exclaimed, the other more…pervious side was saying 'Not yet anyways, and you also have Suletta for…other experiments'-it said as Miorine tried to fight the crimson eminence on her cheeks
"That's odd, I thought Akatsuki would be less careful. When I was his age I was already changing his diapers"-Mikazuki said as Miorine huffed
"We're not ready for children yet. Me and Akatsuki have careers at full swing, and Suletta is…Suletta, not prepared nor understanding responsibility like kids"-Miorine explained as Mikazuki now had another question
"Is he…good? I mean in a way that won't make him a bad husband"-Mikazuki asked as Miorine sighed
"Sometimes it's rocky, but he is a good person. Knows his history and agricultural knowledge. One of the few rare celebrities that wasn't destroyed by fame"-Miorine said as Mikazuki chuckled
"He pilots because he loves it, and I can't blame him. If I could pilot in a way he does it, for fun. I would willingly get in the cockpit"-Mikazuki said as Miorine now had another question
" ? How was it really? Before the civil war?"-Miorine asked as Mikazuki sighed before taking off his glasses
"What there really is to tell? Before we joined CGS me and Orga were street rats, literally killing for food. After that I took an operation that crippled and killed several other orphans, and I took it three times to add to that. Years passed and I spent my time killing for money and piloting mobile workers. It was until Kudelia came with an assignment for our group. Travel to the Abrau colony and deliver her safe and sound. Gjallarhorn attacked us and our superiors sacrificed us, and I saved us using Barbatos. We managed to capture few of them. And we killed them, I killed them, personally. And so it started. We met the Turbines along the way, we fought space pirates and captured a Gundam frame, we visited a colony during a que. Destroyed tons of Grazes along the way, there were also Gali-Gali and that Issue woman that I squished to death . And after reaching the colony, I fought a guy who kept screaming about some Crank guy, and I lost control over my arm. But there were some good moments, I finally learned how read and write. I could say it was 50/50, there was a lot of good food"-Mikazuki said as Miorine remained shocked of what he said and remained quiet. And so they finally reached the Augus farm as Miorine looked upon the crops and wondered how much she can help with the process. The car parked as Miorine got out with Mikazuki following
"Let's go inside and say hello"-Mikazuki said as Miorine nodded, as he opened the door for his future daughter in law they both noticed Kudelia, Suletta, And Akatsuki all sitting on the couch drinking tea
"Oh, Miss Miorine and Mikazuki! You're just here for dinner"-Kudelia announced as Miorine shared looks with her grooms. 'This can either end horribly wrong or embarrassing'-she thought as she heard another voice
"Dinner on the table!"-Atrra announced peaking her head from the dining room and seeing Miorine before walking up to her. Miorine at first was taken a bit aback by how muscular Akatsuki's mother was. 'Perhaps benefits of being a farm housewife' she thought before bowing down her head slightly
"I am Miorine Rembran, Akatsuki's fiancé. And I am thankful for your invitation"-Miorine said with as much respect as possible she could cram into that sentence. Atrra only smiled before hugging Miorine
"And im Atrra, Akatsuki's mom and the pleasure is all mine. So you're the girl that managed to keep my blunt of a boy uptight in school? Im thankful for it. If it wasn't for you Akatsuki would probably eat, sleep and study inside Barbatos's cockpit, focusing 100 percent of his time of duels instead of growing tomatoes"-Atrra said, letting go of Miorine as Akatsuki turned crimson
"MOM!"-Akatsuki exclaimed as Atrra chuckled while Miorine shot him a smug facial expression. Kudelia only chuckled before putting her hand on Akatsuki's shoulder
"I believe we can talk during dinner, lets sit"-Kudelia said as they all sat in the dining room, and Akatsuki licked his lips as he saw bowls of Ramen only waiting to be eaten by him. And after they sat down both men of the Augus home begun to rapidly devour their bowls as the conversation between the four women continued
"So, I hope Akatsuki doesn't make leaps to the side?"-Atrra asked as Miorine put down her chopsticks
"No, except once. He went out with a girl and came back drunk, at 4:30, during school week"-Miorine said as Suletta spat out a small spurt of her Ramen
"MIORINE!"-Suletta exclaimed as now both mothers were eyeing there son, who looked like he wanted to be buried six meters on the ground as the awkward silence ensued
"good for him"-Mikazuki said cutting off the silence as both Atrra and Kudelia turned their shock towards their husband
"MIKAZUKI!"-Both of them exclaimed as Mikazuki put down his chopsticks
"When I was his age I was killing Gjallarhorn soldiers. It's good that he does regular teenager things, Orga, Eugene and Shino used to drink all the time when they were 17 "-Mikazuki said as Atrra and Kudelia were left speechless
"And who said "I am an understanding bride. I don't mind a little jump to the side?" wasn't that you Miorine?"-Akatsuki asked as Suletta turned nodding
"Suki's right Miorine"-Suletta said as after a brief second laughter emitted from Atrra, causing a little bit of laugh from Kudelia. Which in turn made Suletta and Miorine laugh, meanwhile the father and son shared a look
"Why are they laughing?"-Akatsuki asked as Mikazuki swallowed his noodles
"I have no idea son"
"And that's the last of our bags!"-Akatsuki announced as he walked inside his room and saw Miorine holding a magazine and Suletta sitting on the air mattress visibly worried
"HUH!?"-Miorine exclaimed as she looked at a cover, Akatsuki only sighed expecting another mental breakdown
"What's wrong?"-He asked tiredly as Miorine suddenly threw the magazine at Akatsuki's face, thanks to pure luck managed to catch it before it hit his face. As he read the headline he immediately understood why she was angry
"What the hell is wrong with those journalists?! Don't they have more interesting things to do?"-Miorine asked as Akatsuki only nodded in agreement. It was an old issue of Teentalk, and since he wasn't subscribing to it that meant his mother bought it from curiosity and left it on his desk. Akatsuki sighed before throwing it on the air mattress. Grabbing Suletta's attention who read out the headline out loud
"'Popular sport star seen with a Corporal Empire Princess?! Is this a spark of love?'"-Suletta read out as Miorine sighed
"Of course! We're engaged! If you want to leak our personal lives at least do proper research! Im going to the bathroom, and there is a lot of more invites for stuff. Funny, you came back home and to rest and will spend your free time doing PR"-She said leaving Akatsuki and Suletta, the Demon Incarnate sat down on his bed, letting out and sigh, he then looked at Suletta as they shared a smile. 'That went well, now here's to hope next two weeks will go as well'-he thought as he begun to unpack his things
CHAPTER 13: END CHAPTER 13: EPILOGUE
"And done"-Seras said as she looked at the blue Haro she just reputed back together. Installing all the mods plus some other things she thought a teenager would like. But her smile disappeared as she heard her phone ringing and knowing exactly who was calling
"Yes commander?"-Seras asked as on the other side of Mars Rustal was inspecting the building process of his "secret project"
"Have you carried out your assignments properly?"-He asked as Seras nodded
"Yes sir, I've installed monitoring programs via the suit's main on board computer and his Haro. All the data he collects will be sent to project Agnika's main servers"-Seras explained as Rustal turned around to see not only the Bael that was currently being repainted to its original colours but also another suit covered by canvas with the only part barely visible being the head that looked kinda similar to Aerial, instead painted black
"Good job, incredible how much we've accomplished during these 21 years. Don't worry, we're nearly the final phase"-Rustal said as the call ended. Rustal smiled before closing his eyes
"Yes, great progress…Is it "Montag"?"-Rustal asked turning towards a woman wearing a black dress and a golden mask that was intervening with her long blue hair
"It's only a matter of time before it would happen. Now excuse me commander Elion, I have a meeting with my staff"-"Montag" said before leaving the old representative of the Elion family alone. 'Utter shame you won't be there to see it Julietta, but in time I'll have a new sword'-he thought as he watched the assembly of the first new-generation Gundam frame. The real next generation of the almost 400-year old legacy

A/N: We are back baby! Whoo! We begin our first real filler arc as we will spend next four or five chapters on Mars. Akatsuki got his middle season upgrade first and as always we teased more events. Since as im writing this G-Witch sets up its finale it will take a long time before we get there. Maybe they'll announce S3? There is a big chance this fic will take us in completely different places then the main story. Threat that could maybe even side-line Quiet Zero for a bit? Anyways here is also a small announcement, I'm searching for more beta readers! Since doing this stuff, writing two stories, now trying to run everything well in school in the end of the school year while also having time for my own hobbies other than writing.
