Equestria's post-war tragedy - My Little Pony in the post WW2 period March of Stalin's Artillery!, a my little pony fanfic

24th December 1945 - 7:20 AM (Equestrian time)

Stormovok along with fellow crew mates were on board an airship, flying it to Equestria. They set sail in the air, at cloud level, for the best possible cover. Soviet aircraft, while tiny in comparison to an airship, they are incredibly lethal. It is next to impossible to deal with a swarm of planes.

The Storm Creatures have found the past 6 to 7 years very difficult. Since the Storm King fell, the Storm Creatures became very divided. The Storm King's rule, while tyrannical, it kept the Storm Creatures unified. After the Storm King's death, different groups of Storm Creatures have been jockeying for power.

But it all boiled over a year later after the Storm King's, the island had descended into a civil war that went uncared for, and continued on during the second world war. The world didn't care what was going on with the Storm Creature islands, the world was too focused on the world war, and now the global attention is on the war in mainland Equestria.

Then, a group of Storm Creatures, known as the 'Collective Storm', had made massive gains in the last year. The Collective Storm controlled 95% of Storm Creature territory. Then, in the latest week, the Soviets began supplying the Collective Storm with weapons. The Red Air Force even ran some bombing runs against the Collective Storm's remaining opposition.

Stormovok and his crew mates, along with 20 other airships with Storm Creatures that also managed to escape, are going to help ponies in Ponyville escape. They had a spy in the Collective Storm, but before the spy 'dissappeared', they caught wind of plans of a Soviet-Changeling-Storm coalition encircling and attacking Ponyville.

Stormovok and the other Storm Creatures that have escaped, have nothing to lose now. Creatures with nothing to lose are very dangerous, and those creatures being Storm Creatures, makes them more dangerous than ever. But the ponies have everything to lose.

If the fleeing Storm Creatures want to have the smallest of chances of liberating their own home, they need the ponies. But can they get to Ponyville and rescue the ponies in time?

(Back to the present, 8:30 AM)

Meanwhile in north west Ponyville...

"Katyushas!" Sunburst shrieked in complete terror as the Katyusha rockets fill the sky. The screeching roars of the rockets sound like something that would terrify the most hardened Tartarus prisoner.

Starlight jumps off Sunburst and starts trotting. Sunburst and Trixie trots with her.

Other ponies try trotting out of Ponyville, but the unreformed changelings stop them and chases them until they are back in Ponyville, until they are back within the range of Soviet artillery. Some that still tried to get past, the changelings drained them of their love and left them for dead. Very few are managing to get past the ring around Ponyville.

KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM!

The ground shakes from the explosions as the Katyusha rockets hit somewhere north, knocking any hit buildings to the ground and kicking up lots of snow. Large clouds and plumes of smoke rise and flames grow. The doors of almost every building opens and ponies trot outside screaming and crying in sheer panic. Everypony is running in all directions, as complete carnage ensues. Ponyville very quickly descends into mass panic.

"We have to get to AJ's barn- we have to help them! They're all likely there!" Sunburst yelled while...

VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM! VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM! VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM! VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM...

The screams intensifies as ponies see the rockets coming down, then...

KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM...

Several Katyusha rockets hit the ground explodes in a brutally violent fiery fashion, a hundred metres away from Sunburst, Trixie and Starlight. Ponies, adults and foals, caught in and near the explosion are flung outward. Shredded heads, limbs, bodies, flesh, organs and lots of blood fly high and come back down as did a lot of snow, and while some were lucky to recieve an instant death, others aren't, and are left to bleed out in agony as some of them spill out their organs and blood as well as other bodily fluids.

Ponies that avoided the blasts trot in the other direction. Ponies do end up barging into and trampling over each other, fearing for their lives. In the anarchy, Sunburst, Trixie and Starlight started to get split as others shove and trot.

Starlight screams louder as she gets seperated from Sunburst. She starts using magic and teleports several times, desperately trying to find Sunburst or Trixie. Starlight uses her magic and raise a shield as she gets down to the ground and covers her eyes with her forehooves and whimpers. The screams intensifies as ponies see the rockets coming down, then...

KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM...

The Katyusha rockets exolode very near Starlight. She trembles as she uncovers her eyes. Her magical shield had been severely cracked, and is covered in blood, some of which leaks through the cracks in the shield. At the bottom around her magical shield is a mess of messily decapitated heads, mangled bodies, ripped flesh, shattered bones, shredded organs, some of which are burning.

"SUNBURST TRIXIE I'M SCARED- WHERE ARE YOU TWO!?" Starlight screams in complete horror, teleporting while lowering her shield. She teleports all over the place in sheer panic, horror and fear, dodging panicking ponies mindlessly trotting in panic for their lives.

Meanwhile...

VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM! VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM! VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM! VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM...

"Starlight!? Trixie!?" Sunburst sorrowfully howled in pain, trotting in what seemed like circles, having great difficulty at trying to find Starlight or Trixie among the fesrful trotting crowd. The screams intensifies as ponies see the rockets coming down, then...

KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM...

Katyusha rockets strike several rows of houses on the right, the whole outer walls falling down at best, and outright destroying the houses at worst. Snow is flung everywhere, getting into the eyes of some ponies, temporarily blinding them as they continue trotting in panic, fear and dread, petrified to die.

"SUNBURST!" Starlight screamed in tears as she leaps onto Sunburst's back. Sunburst manages to keep on trotting as Starlight grips onto him better.

"Where's Trixie!?" Sunburst yelled. He is glad Starlight is alive. Now Sunburst as well as Starlight must worry about Trixie. He continues trotting southwards while he as well as Starlight try looking out for Trixie.

"Sunburst!? Hello!? Starlight!?" Trixie's voice is heard screaming, somewhere. But it's very difficult to tell from which direction because of all the other screaming ponies. The screams intensifies as ponies see the rockets coming down, then...

KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM...

Ahead, the explosions shred ponies while flinging them up and outward. A messy mix of heads, limbs, bodies, flesh, organs and lots of blood, as well as snow.

Sunburst and Starlight then sees the worst. A gut-and-organ-spilling bloodily-shredded and mutilated blue-coloured body is flung in the air, as well as a burning purple starry cape and purple pointy starry hat are seen flung up by the explosion.

"TRIIIIXXXXXIIIIEEEEEE!"

Trixie got caught in the explosion.

At Sweet Apple Acres...

The Pie sisters are sitting in front of the slightly open front barn doors. Adorabella is sitting with Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. The rest of the mane 6 are sitting with each other, opposite Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Adorabella. Coco Pommel, Spur and Biscuit are sitting at the back of the barn.

Everypony gets up and trots to the front barn doors while Katyusha rockets overshadow the screaming, whimpering and crying.

The Pie sisters, the rest of the mane 6, Adorabella, and Spur gets out of the barn in time. Biscuit also got out, but he remembers that Bloofy is still inside, and goes back inside. Meanwhile everypony else gets distance from the barn before...

Katyusha rockets began hitting and exploding Sweet Apple Acres. The apple tree stood no chance. Splinters and big wood chunks from trees as well as snow are flung high up and outward. Inevitably, some of the rockets hit the barn, instantly destroying it. The wood and planks fly outward like large darts, luckily missing everypony else.

Maud starts trotting north, towards main Ponyville. The rest of the Pie sisters follow suit.

"We will meet up soon! I love you all just know that!" Pinkie Pie screamed to her friends, in case she never sees them again, or doesn't come back alive. Pinkie Pie must trot with her sisters. The sisters have made the oath to one another. They will stick together, even if they're trotting towards death.

"Mudbriar's still in the hospital!"

Maud's hooves slamming down on the snowy ground harder, trotting faster. The other 3 Pies tries keeping up with Maud, who is the strongest out of the 4. The other 3 must help Maud get to Mudbriar, because they would want each other to do for them for their special someponies.

Meanwhile...

The rest of the group is screaming for their lives. Adorabella and Rainbow Dash fly close to the ground, they are sticking with their friends. They as well as Fluttershy and Spur could fly away if they wanted to, but they aren't, they will stick with their friends even if it's the last thing they will do. Over the 20 days, they have grown close together like family, Adorabella and Pinkie Pie's 3 sisters being new to the family.

The most distraught is Applejack, her family's generations-old barn they have made so memories in over the years, a farm that had lasted for generations, gone, in seconds.

Everypony trots west, until they see swaths of unreformed changelings. Everypony trots back east while the unreformed changelings give a brief chase. The unreformed changelings only stop chasing the ponies once they ventured back within the range of Soviet artillery.

"They have Ponyville surrounded!" Applejack shouted.

"We're trapped!" Coco Pommel cried.

"Spike is still at the cottage I think! I'll trot over there and grab him!" Rarity exclaimed. She trots in the direction to Fluttershy's cottage. After what happened, Fluttershy doesn't feel comfortable going back to the cottage, because it'd mean she would have to walk along the same path she and Discord were ponynapped on.

"Wait where's Biscuit and Bloofy!?" Spur howled as she doesn't see him or their pet.

"We have to find Biscuit and Bloofy!" Spur screeched in tears.

Katyusha rockets come crashing down, far from everypony on the now destroyed apple farm. Then for a brief moment, Katyusha rockets stop bombarding Sweet Apple Acres. But the screeching roars of Stalin's organ are still heard from Ponyville. For a brief moment, there is no noise except for sniffling, especially Applejack's sniffling.

"Biscuit!? Bloofy!?" Spur howled in tears, throwing the broken pieces of wood, digging into the wood-based rubble, deparate to find Biscuit and Bloofy. Everypony else starts helping Spur in digging, while Adorabella who isn't strong enough to dig, flies around the destroyed Sweet Appe Acres to find Biscuit and Bloofy. She quickly comes back, unable to find them. All the while...

VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM! VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM! VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM! VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM...

Katyusha rockets indiscriminately hit different areas of Sweet Apple Acres again.

KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM...

Then Twilight, using her magic to lift a plank, places it back after seeing a crushed messy body and some tiny purple fur, as well as a crushed red rear hoof, cut open so deep that bones are showing.

"We have to find Biscuit and Bloofy!" Spur cried aloud, looking at the sky, her eyes filled with tears.

"I think I... I think I found them..." Twilight's eyes swelled up with tears for Spur, who comes over and lifts up the plank.

"BISCUIT- BLOOFY- NO! NO! NOOOO! NO... no... no..." Spur drops the plank back down. Her vision blurs drastically from the amount of tears her eyes started making. Twilight grabs her and hugs her.

"Are they..." Fluttershy paused, dreading to know the answer. The others wait in anticipation.

"Yes... I have found them..." Twilight replied, giving the others a tearful nod. She confirms that she have found Biscuit and Bloofy, dead.

Everypony else then leaves the farm and heads to Ponyville, which is under a brutal Soviet artillery barrage. They must try and find the Pies. Meanwhile, Twilight stays with Spur.

"I'm so sorry... I'm so sorry..." There is nothing Twilight can say or do, other than give Spur a hug and cry with her. Spur had lost somepony special, and their dearest pet.

"BISCUIT! BLOOFY!" Spur screamed to the skies. Her eyes start hurting from the eyelid scrunching. Her throat starts hurting from the screaming. While the very broken Spur latches onto Twilight, the purple alicorn begins scanning to her west, seeing if there's any possible way to get past that amarda of unreformed changelings.

All the while in the background...

Screech is trotting down wards, into rooms, biting to heal patients like there's no tomorrow. That is in the literal sense, for some ponies, there will literally be no tomorrow. Meanwhile, hospital staff are wheeling healed pony's out. Screech is feeling the strain, especially in her fangs, but she can't stop, because she won't forgive herself if even just a single preventable death occurs. Even if chances to save them are next to impossible, it won't stop Screech trying to.

Katyusha rockets keep flying and indiscriminately bombing Ponyville. One would think the rockets would best be used on military targets. Unfortunately Soviet planners think they're also great use on civilians targets too.

Screech trots to the next room. But then...

... the whole hospital shakes, and the screams and cries intensifies. Screech feels the floor being pulled, and the walls beginning to collapse. There is a window, and Screech tries to get to the room's only window, but then everything for her goes black.

(An unknown amount of time passes)

Screech regains consciousness, she is laying on her right side, and all over her body she is in agony. She tries moving, but she feels a very sharp pain on her back. Rubble is on top of her.

Screech winces and hisses as she tries moving her right forehoof, her only hoof free. It is badly cut, and Screech bites it, but it only heals slightly. Then that's when Screech rubs her free hoof in her mouth, and feels blood, and that her top and bottom right-side fangs had been snapped.

Screech winces as she turns her head, looking around, and to her left, she sees a red-stained white pony head with short pink hair, and a nurse hat, sticking out from underneath rubble. Screech recognized her, it is Nurse Redheart. But the nurse isn't moving or breathing, and both of her eyes are closed. Screech glances right, and sees a long sandy coloured hind leg that belonged to a stallion, a horizontal spirit level as the cutie mark of whoever the stallion was.

Screech continues looking around, and she sees in front of her is a broken piece of brick. She grabs it and starts firmly tapping the rubble above her. She looks downward to avoid inhaling dust.

Katyusha rockets are still flying over and bombing Ponyville, the ear-piercing noise overshadowing Screech's tapping.

"HELP!" Screech screamed as loudly as she could, hoping her voice would be able to be heard despite the Katyusha rockets. But as she screamed, she feels terrible neck pain and a brief shot of pain all over her body. Screech drops the brick and her head and closes her eyes, slowly giving up and accepts her fate.

"Hello!?" Somepony from above shouted. Whoever they are, they've heard Screech. The pony sounds like a female, familiar at that.

"HELP!" Screech screamed. Her will to live returned as soon as she found out she has been discovered. It hurts to scream, but she must scream if she wants to be found.

"Hang on there's lot's of rubble!" The pony outside shouted.

Screech feels the rubble on her back being lifted...

Screech can see the smoke-filled sky. She coughs as she breathes. She winces and hisses as she struggles in wiggling herself to get her other legs and hooves free. She feels herself being grabbed by 2 forehooves. Working together, Screech manages to pull herself out, her eyes water while wincing and hissing.

Screech sees a pony-like figure wearing a grey cape over them, and black robes covering their hooves. The figure is as tall as her. Screech looks under the cape's hood and sees a pair of umbrum eyes, white glowing pupils and black scleras. Screech immediately recognizes them, and hugs them.

"M- Melodie..." Screech's eyes water as she went to do a gentle affection bite, and while it hurts her snapped fangs, she doesn't care. Melodie's umbrum eyes changes colour as she manifests her body into being physical, to hug Screech tighter. The hug hurts Screech's body, but the bat pony doesn't care, she needs a hug. The white colour in Melodie's pupils change and begins to glow blue.

"Long time huh, Screech?" Melodie feebly spoke. They've been seperate since Equestria was brought to Earth.

"Yeah..." Screech wept. She would be crying in full right now. But she is calmer with Melodie's pleasant surprise presence. Screech felt empathetic with Melodie. Screech used to think herself as a monster. Melodie is an umbrum, and umbrums are typically very evil, with a very few and very rare exception of umbrums being good. Melodie is one of those good umbrums, often known as 'rebel' umbrums.

"Can you trot?" Melodie asked.

"I feel some of my bones are broken. Best we get trotting before my adrenaline runs out," Screech winced as she begins trotting with a limp, Melodie trotting with her, all the while...

Stormovok and his crew sees an isolated enemy Storm Creature airships. Stormovok's airship flies over the enemy airship, and he jumps off with 10 of his Storm Creatures jump off and onto the enemy airships. The enemy Storm Creatures, the ones with the Collective Storm logo on their shoulders, are taken by surprise.

Stormovok and his own increasing numbers on the enemy airship, roar as they all charge for the CS Storm Creatures.

Stormovok blocks a spear attack with his shield. He pushes the CS Storm Creature back and then charges forward, the stabs them with his spear before shoving them off the ship. Stormovok turns around and notices his Storm Creatures already siezed control of the airship. The CS Storm Creatures are either laying dead with blood-painted spears in their heads, or were stabbed and thrown overboard.

Stormovok grunts and points to the 3 flags at the front. The Soviet flag, the unreformed changeling flag, and the new Storm Creature flag. A Storm Creature walks to them and yanks the flags out of place. They spit on the 3 flags and then throws them overboard.

One of the Storm Creatures grunts as they pull Stormovok to get his attention. They take Stormovok to the front of the ship, and points down below, in between destroyed houses. They see several ponies below, trotting in all directions in mass panic. There's also several Katyusha rockets flying all over and hitting different areas of Ponyville. The Storm Creature's airships are high up enough that they either can't hear the rockets are just about barely hear them.

The Storm Creature growls and shoves Stormovok as they repeatedly while aggressively pointing at the ponies on the ground. Stormovok understands that he is being told that the ponies must be rescued. Stormovok grunts to the Storm Creature while doing hand gestures, telling them to lower the ship and begin the evacuation of as many ponies as possible. As the airship lowers, they can start hearing...

Ponies that look like they are close to death are taken back off the ship. It is a cruel decision, but space must be made for those that will to survive to save as many lives as possible. The other 19 airships are trying to cause as much mayhem among the forces of the Collective Storm and unreformed changelings, to divert their attention.

The Pies nod, not because they're hungry, but because eating something will take their mind off of reality.

The Storm Creature places the 4 bowls down in front of the Pies. They place down the massive bucket and puts in the bowls a scoop of porridge each. The Storm Creature then picks up the bucket and scoop, and walks off.

The Pies quickly delve into their porridge. Eating is their only method of coping. It isn't the most healthy way, but it's the only available way right now that helps take their minds off of the reality they are facing. They eat slowly, so they 'stay out' of the reality they are facing 'longer'.

"H- how d- do we know if they won't kill us!?" Marble whimpered uncontrollably. The porridge isn't working so much for Marble, she feels extremely vulnerable. What if these Storm Creatures take her and her sisters somewhere that they'll all be locked up for the rest of their lives? Marble can't trust new figures anymore, she as well as her stronger sister Limestone were almost gang raped, in their own home. How is she meant to feel safe on am airship full of bipedal yeti-like creatures that just yoinked her up and placed her on the airship.

KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM...

"We got no choice..." Limestone dully murmured. She hugs her sisters tighter. She is also as scared and feels equally vulnerable like Marble, who has good points. How are they meant to know that these Storm Creatures aren't evil? These Storm Creatures still use the old Storm King logo on their shoulders.

"I remember you," Said a Storm Creature that is walking up to the Pies. Marble whimpers louder and hides her face behind her mane.

"A long time ago now, the yellow one in your group helped me talk out my problems in Canterlot," The Storm Creature stated.

VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM! VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM! VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM! VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM VMMM...

"What is your name?" Maud tearfully asked, as there was nothing else to say or do.

"I am Stormovok," The Storm Creature replied.

KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM! KBOOM...

"I am going to say this nicely the once. Leave us in peace," Limestone mumbled. The Storm Creature, Stormovok, nods and walks away. The Pies feel comfortable with each other, as nopony else that's around knows or understands them more other than each other.

Applejack, Fluttershy, Coco Pommel, Starlight and Sunburst ended up on a Storm Creature airship, the same airship the Pies were on. They are so relieved and so emotional that the Pies are alive. Applejack did give a slight bollocking to them for recklessly trotting into Ponyville. But the Pies tried finding Mudbriar, but the Storm Creatures found the Pies and brought them to the airship.

Screech was also found by Storm Creatures. The bat pony was a very critical life-threatening condition, it was truly remarkable how the bat pomy was even standing at all. Once on the airship, a nearby unicorn stallion, who was a retired doctor, casted a spell to knock Screech out and began operating on her on the lower deck. He was assisted by another unicorn who was originally a medic on the front lines but was honourably discharged for facing sevre shellshock. Together though, they managed to remove all shrapel fragments and partially stablize Screech's condition.

Twilight and Spur were still at the ruined Sweet Apple Acres. Twilight tried doing whatever she could to comfort Spur but nothing could help Spur, she had lost too much. They were then both discovered by a Storm Creature rescue team. They were taken onto an airship. Their friends were also on the same airship. Spur was incomprehensibly devastated from losing Biscuit and their pet Bloofy. Maud, who lost Mudbriar, understood how Spur was. Maud helped in comforting Spur.

Rarity did find Spike (who is now at least as tall as a an average pony). Fluttershy was slightly taken by surprise as to how much Spike has grown over the span of just 3 years. Spike got even more emotional when he saw that Fluttershy was alive. Spike almost collapses with relief when he saw Rainbow Dash alive as well. The 3 of them were emotional seeing one another alive again.

Spike also had to then explain to Fluttershy that he had to make a very difficult decision. He had to let all of Fluttershy's animal friends back into the wild so they wouldn't be cruelly murdered by Soviet forces, most likely consisting of malnourished soldiers that would eat their own fingers to survive. However, Spike was able to get Yona to look after Angel. Yona was in Yakyakistan.

When Rainbow Dash was found and brought on board the airship, she explained to her friends that Adorabella is with Ralph. Rainbow Dash doesn't know where the couple are now, but they are searching for another friend in the rubble of the hospital.

Only after the artillery bombardment ended, and after nightfall, did the airship take off and started heading to Yakyakistan. Out of the 20 airships, only 5 survived, anf the surving ships were heading to Yakyakistan. The Storm Creatures weren't willing to put their dwindling airships under any dangerous circumstances. Everypony would be relieved, but they had all lost close friends today.

The Soviet artillery bombardment lasted for several hours, all the way to 4 PM. The bombardment had destroyed huge areas of Ponyville. Any defence preparations such as fortifications were completely destroyed. Citizens in the tens of thousands were killed.

Meanwhile, Adorabella and Ralph had found nopony in the hospital. Adorabella thought who they were trying to look for were dead, and she then liked to try and at least search Derpy and Dinky. Adorabella didn't know if they were still in Ponyville whether trapped in an air raid shelter or under rubble. But Adorabella would horrifically self harm herself if she discovered that Derpy and Dinky were still in Ponyville and died because they weren't found. Ralph agreed to help Adorabella search for. Ralph didn't want to lose more friends to the war. Both of them are determined to save the friends they can.

Roughly 8 kilometres from Ponyville's east...

Several thousands upon several thousand dozens of Soviet infantry are poised to attack Ponyville. They are not alone, they are accompanied by their changeling comrades and the Storm Creatures from the Collective Storm. Several dozens of tanks, including a batch of 15 newly made IS-7's. The IS-7 has passed it's prototype trials, and has entered full production. The other tanks present is the much common IS-3's and T-34-85's, as well as some T-44's. There's also a few dozen ISU-152 tank destroyers in the mix as well. A few kilometres further back is the artillery, as well as parked Collective Storm airships.

Chrysalis is visiting the front lines, where Dysthanasia is as well. They are together reviewing the progress. Right now, the Red Army is resting, in tanks or trucks. The changelings meanwhile are out patrolling. The CS Storm Creatures are also patrolling the area.

"Not bad. Within twenty days, they are already at Ponyville. Within no time, Equestria will be ours, mwah ha ha ha ha..." Chrysalis cackled. Even though she is far from Ponyville, the smoke from the destruction can still be seen from the front lines.

"Don't you fear potential betrayal from our... 'comrades', Chrysalis?" Dysthanasia asked.

"What do you mean?" Chrysalis questioned.

"We've become too dependant on Stalin. We are not in control, he is," Dysthanasia warned. He is fed up of keeping his opinions bottled in. He is very skeptical about the structure of the alliance with the Soviet Union. Dysthanasia didn't oppose an alliance with the Soviet Union, but what he did oppose is the current over-reliance on Soviet support, resources, hard labour, and much more.

"I hear your concerns, Dysthanasia. Stalin won't dare betray us, and if he foolishly does, he loses us. We both need each other for each other's plans to work," Chrysalis calmly explained. Dysthanasia feebly nods, he is uncomfortable with the alliance the changelings have with the Soviets. But then again, he's looking forward to the endless suffering to feed on.

"Any clue as to Starlight's location?" Dysthanasia asked.

"No, but if she is found, she is to be left alone. The damage done to her ego is satisfactory. I want her to suffer, alone, just like I did," Chrysalis coldly and remorselessly retorted about Starlight. Chrysalis is satisfied with the vengeance she brought down upon Starlight. She doesn't even feel a shred of remorse for what she as well as Kuzneyov forced the unicorn to go through.

"But it doesn't mean Cozy will be let off the hook. I want that darn traitor brought before me and Stalin," Chrysalis sternly ordered.

"Beria has reportedly sent agents to assassinate her. The NKVD is going to get to Cozy before we will," Dysthanasia reported.

"She may of even died in the beautiful fireworks display," Dysthanasia retorted. He is talking about the Katyusha rockets.

"Yes, the rockets are beautiful. The screeches they make, make me think of dying vermin," Chrysalis grinned. Dysthanasia nods

"Why aren't we moving in to capture Ponyville now?" Dysthanasia asked.

"I am feeling generous, I have a plan, and Stalin agrees with my idea. I want to give the ponies a gift on their Hearth's Warming mwah ha ha ha ha hahahahaha! " Chrysalis evilly laughed.

"I like that idea, good thinking. It will be an ultimate demoralizer. Showing them there is no hope. Best Hearth's Warming gift ever," Dysthanasia nodded in cold agreement with the idea.

"Enough reminiscing. Here are your orders. Don't show mercy to anypony that's fighting back. Capture anypony you see worth capturing and slaughter them if you must!" Chrysalis declared. Dysthanasia nods at the demand. Chrysalis then flies off, presumably heading back to the Badlands, to her pyramid fortress.

"Tomorrow will be a glorious day," Dysthanasia snorted. He now must spread word of Chrysalis' orders to the other changelings for tomorrow's joint Soviet-Changeling-Storm assault on Ponyville. Show no mercy, enforce deportation and if necessary, spill blood. It's a shame he can't have all the ponies killed, a population of these vermin are needed in the future for very grand plans.

I decided to name the Storm Creature in question 'Stormovok'. It sounds Storm-Creature-like, and cool.
