As Blablanadon landed, Mario, Luigi and Anomaly let go of him and waved him goodbye and headed to the Hammerhead brothers workshop, "Oh, you're back! You'll never guess what happened, a Hoohoo Block fell through our chimney!" Sledge exclaimed, "...That's... Really lucky actually..." Anomaly mused, "I know right? Anyways, time to make your hammers!" Mallet cheered.
The Hammerheaded beans then proceeded to turn the block into hammers, just for Mario and Luigi though, Anomaly doesn't need one, "Here you go! If you want to try them out, we have some boulders we need to get rid of in the back room." Sledge infromed them, Mario and Luigi went and broke the boulders with little effort, "These will do just great!" Mario exclaimed, "I just thought of a skeleton when you said that... Weird..." Luigi informed.
After thanking the smithies, the trio headed off to Beanbean Castle, finally breaking the rock Fawful dropped to block their way, "You know, I'm gonna use this to nail Fawful in the ground" Luigi said, "Foreshadowing?" Anomaly asked, "Maybe" Luigi replied.
The way down the mountain was for some reason filled with rocks, but it's a mountain, so it made sense, however, "I think i can see the castle." Mario, who was on top of Luigi, who was on top of Anomaly's white body, which was on top of the black body, "Are you sure? Because if so, than we just need to get over these rocks." Anomaly said, pointing to said rocks, "Yeah I'm sure, but for some reason, these rocks seem different..." Mario commented.
They got down from eachother, letting Mario and Luigi try to break the rocks, "Three, two, one, go!" Luigi exclaimed, but when their hammers hit the rocks, they just bounced back, "Things are always easy" Mario said sarcastically, "Let me try." Anomaly asked and proceeded to use their gravity magic to crush the rocks, and they actually managed to do it, "Great! If you can do that, then we won't have any-" *Thud* "-problem?" Mario was saying exitedly, but saw that Anomaly's white body fell to the ground, "Are you okay!?" Luigi asked worriedly, "Yes *Huuf* It's just that *Hhhhu* It took a lot out of me..." That's the last thing Anomaly said before falling asleep.
"They fell asleep?" Luigi asked, "Seems like it... We should carry them for the rest of the way" Mario said, and carry them they did, with all the enemies they encountered in the way, it's a miracle they reached the entrance of the town, "Never again..."Luigi lamented, "Agreed... I don't know what could be worse..." Mario added.
Something worse Mario said, "Mario..." Luigi said, "Yes Luigi?" Mario asked back, "Please don't say 'what could be worse' again." Luigi asked, as for what made him ask that, it was the sight of the destroyed BeanBean Castle Town, the buildings were all destroyed, not to the point of being unusable, but broken, "Let's head to the castle, it seems to be undamaged" anomaly, who woke back up suggested, "Oh, you've woken up, can you walk?" Mario asked, and the answer was "No."
Mario and Luigi sighed as they headed to the castle, and as they thought, there were even guards standing in front of the entrance, "Halt! Who goes there!?" One of them asked, "Mario and Luigi, from the Mushroom Kingdom" Mario replied, "WHAT? YOU are the world famous Mario!?" The guard exclaimed, "Yeah" Mario responded, "WHAT? And YOU are the legendary Luigi!?" The guard asked Luigi this time, "Yes" Luigi responded.
"Uh, Luigi who?!" The other guard asked, "Shh, I have no idea." The other replied, causing Luigi to fall over, "Just show them the rose, come on, this is painful enough to listen to, I don't need to see the whole thing" Anomaly pleaded, and Luigi agreed, showing the rose Prince Peasly gave him to the guards, "That's the prince's rose! You are his friends?" The guard asked, "Yes, yes we are!" Anomaly responded with clear annoyance in their voice, "In that case, you're free to enter." The guard responded, letting the trio in.
When they got in, they saw that the castle was kind of empty, but another issue was concerning the brothers, "Anomaly... Can you walk now!?" Mario asked in exasperation, "...Yes." Anomaly replied and both brothers dropped them to the ground, stretching their backs right after they did, making an obvious crack, "How dou you weigh so much?" Luigi asked in his mind, before moving on.
As they walked around the castle, they stumbled into a room which had a civilian laying on a pedestal, when they aapproached to check, they heard someone behind them, they turned around and saw and eldery bean woman,"I am Lady Lima, the highest of the ladies at court... The gatekeepers told me of you. Are you indeed the Mario and Luigi of fame? The superstars?" She asked, making Mario and Luigi start jumping frantically, Lady Lima inspected them conferming it was them.
"...Yes, I can't deny it, this jumping is the hallmark of the Mario and Luigi of legend, but those other two... Follow me for a moment, there's something I have to show you" Lady Lima requested of the group, and they complied, they followed her into a seemingly empty room, but she then pushed a button and they were dropped into the castle's sewers, "Hear my words! If you indeed are the true Mario bros. Fix the Castle's plumbing, show me the Mario bros work ethic!" Lady Lima exclaimed before shutting the trapdoor that dropped the group down.
The group was incredibly annoyed by this, "I ask again... Why can't things ever be easy?" Mario said, "Let's not woeey about that for now okay? Let's just fix whatever this plumbing is and get it over with." Anomaly instructed, and after three rooms of faulty plumbing, they finally reached a room which had a gate in it, they much attention to it, until Mario fixed the last pipe, causing it to open revealing Lady Lima behind it.
"Oh thank the stars you heroic so- Wait, could you two be the Mario bros from the Mushroom Kingdom?" Lady Lima asked, "Uh? Why are you asking? You're the one who dropped us here." Luigi reminded, "I did? There's no way, I have been locked in here ever since Cackletta attacked, unless the Lady Lima you met was Cackletta herself." Lady Lima suggested, "If that's the case, why did she drop us here?" Mario asked, "It's probably because she's after the Bean Star, a powerful item capable of granting any wish! But the only persons who can use it, are those with the purest voice." Lady Lima explained.
This information made the group understand why Cackletta went to the Mushroom Kingdom, "We might have a problem." Anomaly noted.
A few minutes later.
The group went up the stairs the brought to the room where the Bean star was being held, and explained the situation to Lady Lima, "Oh dear, if what you say is true than Cackletta is a step closer to getting her wish granted!" Lima exclaimed, "Don't worry! Even if she managed to take the Bean Star, we'll take it back!" Mario reassured her, "Yeah! After all, we are the Mario bros!" Luigi exclaimed.
When they finally arrived at the the room, "The Bean Star! It's gone!" Lady Lima exclaimed, looking at the pedestal where the Bean Star was supposed to be, "Eeyah ha ha ha!" The all too familiar laugh echoed through the room, "The Bean Star and the Princess's voice are laready mine! I would stay here for longer, but Fawful warned me that you have more tricks than expected, instead! I'll let you meet the queen! Eeyah ha ha ha!" Cackletta laughed as she went away.
"Are you running away again!? And what do you mean meet the quee-" Mario was about to ask, but the sudden appearence of a mutated Queen Bean distracted him, she was about to attack, but Anomaly used their magic to pin the queen down.
Lady Lima looked saddened at the queen, "...Oh, no! Cackletta forced Queen Bean to eat a Belly Belch worm! That's what turned her into THIS! Our fair kingdom is doomed! Doomed! How will we ever return Queen Bean to normal?" She cried, but Mario and Luigi reassured her, "Don't worry! We'll fix it!" Mario said, "Uh? You'll really do something?" Lady Lima asked, "Of course!" Luigi confirmed, "I appreciate it, but there's no way to spit out a Belly Belch worm... Well except..." Lady Lima started explaining about the Chuckola Reserve.
"So we'll need to go to Chucklehuck woods to get soda" Mario summarized, "That's correct, but the entrance is being guarded at the moment, for some reason, the woods are filled with monsters, so you'll need this to get in" Lady Lima said as she gave apermit to Mario, "Show this to the guards and they'll let you pass" Lady Lima explained, "Got it, but, wait, Anomaly? Are you just going to stay here?" Mario asked, but his answer was Queen Bean growilng as she tried to get free, "That's a yes" Luigi said as he ran out of the room.
Chucklehuck Woods.
"So Rookie, this is going to be the greatest bulgrary of all time, see?" Someone said, "Yes boss! The Chuckola reserve is as good as ours!" Rookie? replied, "Uh? Who goes there?" A voice that the duo couldn't see asked, "What was that?" Rookie asked, "Not sure, but I would suggest hiding for the time being." The other replied.
