Author note: I've decided to reply questions you may have in the reviews, you can ask the characters or me directly and you might get a chance to have some insight that won't be spelled out in the stories.
After Nezumi and Anomaly finished the massage, they followed the path that would lead them to this Hermie guy, but not even the time to turn the corner that they found Mario and Luigi, arguing with a turtle "Come on, let us through, we've been at this for twenty minutes!" Mario exclaimed desperate, but the turtle shook his head and replied "Sorry, but you gotta force me out of the way if you want to pass."
Nezumi was amused by this, but approached them before slamming her open palm against the turtle's chest, knocking it on it's shell, "There, will you let us through now?" She asked and the turtle nodded before moving away, but Mario and Luigi weren't so happy, "Oh my God! Where the hell have you two been!?" Luigi asked angrily.
Anomaly turned to him and replied "Getting a massage." Then turned to the path and started following it, this got Mario to say "A mas- We've been looking for you for about five minutes, then we were arguing with that guy for fifteen!", Anomaly just smirked and responded "Interesting", Luigi this time said "Don't just brush our words off!" and both followed them.
Passing a few palm trees, they found a yellow pipe just like the one they used to get out of the water, "I guess this is the only path" Anomaly said as they went in followed by the others, looking around in the water Nezumi asked "Couldn't someone just build a bridge?", Mario turned to her and replied "I ask myself that a lot". They used a upstream to get on a ledge where another pipe was, it got them back on the beach, right beside a rock path that brought across the water.
"There's your bridge Nezumi." Anomaly sarcastically said, "Yeah, it's a bridge, but why are there giant roling spiked sawblades?" Nezumi pointed out, "Defense mechanism?" Luigi theorized, "Whatever they are, they do a terrible job" Mario said as he ran to the other side while the rollers wher out of the way, using the same tactic, the others passed too.
They were about to walk away, but Nezumi noticed a giant crab decorated like a christmas tree, "I think that's our guy." She said as she directed the other's attention to the crab, "Just out of reach." Luigi commented before Nezumi grabbed him and tossed him on a ledge that was nearby, she then did the same with Mario and Anomaly before jumping on it herself, "Being that strong has it's benefits." Mario said as before noticing a boo statue.
Anomaly and Nezumi were perplexed at the sight, "What is this thing?" Anomaly asked as they approached, but when they took another step, it disappeared before their eyes, "That's a boo, not sure why there's a statue of one here." Mario replied, "It disappeared because that's what boos do when looked at" Luigi explained, Nezumi looked at the statue, then at Anomaly, she then proceeded to turn them around and got to a distance from the statue, seeing how it reappeared.
"So we don't have to look at it?" Nezumi asked and Mario nodded in confirmation. With that information, Nezumi used her back to push it playfully, getting a light chuckle from the others, "Not so scary when made of-" *Clank* "-Stone? What was that?" Luigi asked before looking at the statue, noticing how it didn't disappear anymore, upon closer inspection, they saw that the stautue was lodged into a rail, "I think this was some kind of switch." Anomaly suggested while looking for something that might have changed.
They waited for a bit to see whether or not a passage might have opened, Mario shrugged and said "Maybe we'll find it down the road?", Luigi agreed saying "Maybe we can find another way across.", Anomaly thought about it, but didnt have any better ideas so they went along with it.
Following the path they found next to the statue, they noticed an incomplete path of rocks, "So this is what the statue did" Anomaly rationalized, "Really? How do you know for sure?" Mario asked and Anomaly replied "There's another one right on that ledge.", Nezumi looked at where Anomaly was pointing and said "I'll take it- Wait, there's another switch over there." Nezumi pointed out as she went to push the statue.
Anomaly went to get the switch while Nezumi pushed the statue, when she finished pushing the statue down the rail, another part of the rock path appeared, "Uh, that's actually it." She said as Anomaly was done with their switch, causing the path to be completed.
Following the path, they found who could only be Crabby, "This is probably it." Luigi commented looking at the CRAB THAT HAS CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS ON IT'S SHELL, Crabby was distracted by it's decorations before noticing Mario, "Why! Red clothes... And a muthtache, even... That meanthh... C-Could you be... Thanta Clauth!?" This got him, Luigi andd even Nezumi and Anomaly to fall down due to shock.
"No he's not Thanta Claud or however you said it, but we need that thing you have on the tip of your shell." Anomaly requested, and Crabby got a little pissed, "Why would I give away my newest decoration?" He asked with clear irritation, "Because it's either that or-" Anomaly tried being rational, but the fish girls they met before noticed Mario and Luigi and started fangirling over them, the brothers were clearly not amused.
Nezumi turned to Crabby and said "Okay list, we'll give you something else to put instead of that, and we'll leave quickly so you can go back to what you were doing before, deal?", Crabby thought about this offer and accepted, "Perfect, GRANDMA! COME HERE I NEED YOUR HELP!" Nezumi yelled to the sky, catching the attention of the fish girls and getting Crabby to look at her like she went crazy but then Avaritia arrived.
"Oh, you managed to reunite, but where is Zettai?" Avaritia asked, "Still need to find her." Anomaly replied, "I see, by the way, can you tell us when you find her? Paint is about to strangle Shakara, apparently she wasn't informed and is right now freaking out." Avaritia said, "Duly note... Anyways, we called you because we need something to replace the star on top of the tree." Nezumi informed, "Thee? I'm not a-" Crabby was saying, but got distracted when Avaritia created an iridescent star.
Crabby looked at it ad happily gave away the Bean Star piece for the new decoration, "Thif looks a loft bether, thant you!" He exclaimed as the fish girls admired the new star, "There, but remember! Tell us when you found Zettai!" Avaritia reminded before going away.
Mario and Luigi looked at eachother and shrugged, "Where are we going next?" Mario asked pulling out the map and crossing out the piece they just got, "I'd say the one in the woods, maybe we can also get the one next to the ariport while we're at it." Luigi suggested, "How about we split? You to go get those two, we get the last one over there" Anomaly said, pointing to the top of the map, Mario and Luigi agreed, and the four of them split up.
