Chapter 9: Restart the game (part 1)
Edited: I uploaded this chapter yesterday without double checking, so there remained some mistakes in the arrangement. I updated it today. Extremely sorry for that.
Misumi Eiichi:
"So that's how it is... I understand now, Amano-kun."
Amano-kun seemed surprised and asked, "Eh? You understood everything? You are really believing everything what I said, Misumi-kun?"
"Yes. I know you after all.", I smiled at him.
Suddenly Amano-kun looked emotional and even started to crying! Then he embraced me tightly without any warnings. I let out an "eh" sound, being surprised.
"Sob... You're the real friend in need, Misumi-kun! Sob... only you can understand my situation!"
"Okay okay Amano-kun now please... leave... me."
"Only Misumi-kun could care about my situation..."
He's not listening to me, huh... Amano-kun continued to sob against my chest as if I'm his girlfriend. Thank God nobody else is here, otherwise there could be a monumental misunderstanding. I finally cleared my throat and said,
"Amano-kun, as I said I understood your situation correctly. However... I don't support what you and Aguri-san are doing..."
"Eh?"
As soon as I said that, Amano-kun loosened his grip so I had a chance to get out from his embrace. What? Did he expect me to say something else?
"Hmph! Misumi-kun, if you are trying to be good then be good for all the time!", Amano-kun pouted.
"What? Do you mean you and Aguri-san are not doing anything wrong, Amano-kun?"
"L-Look I told you r-right? That Tendou-san had broken up with me? So having feelings for
Aguri-san is not entirely wrong, right? Right?"
This guy... he is getting everything wrong...
"Amano-kun, you're forgetting that even though Tendou-san has broken up with you... Aguri-san hasn't broken up with Uehara-kun."
"Huh? Yeah I know that.", Amano-kun still answered like he did nothing wrong. What the heck? Did you not get it?
"Why are you looking so normal? You think NTRing someone else's girlfriend is okay, Amanokun?", I shouted in frustration.
"B-But who said I'm NTRing her?"
"You just said you both have romantic feelings."
"I said I love Aguri-san. Aguri-san doesn't love me. I think having one sided affection is not wrong?"
"Huh? So you mean what things I saw just some time ago... when you both were hugging... were one sided affection?"
"Y-Yes. Aguri-san is a little naive. She adores me as a little brother, she once said. And so it's not actually what you think. It's just a problem that I have developed romantic feelings for her."
"A-Amano-kun... are you actually serious?"
"Huh? Of course."
Oh dear God! I knew he was dense. But that dense? I only wished he got a plastic surgery of his brain...
I couldn't think of anything more to say to him. I sat on the waiting bench of the stoppage, looking lost. Amano-kun followed me and also sat near me.
"Say Amano-kun..."
"Yeah?"
"Do you still have any feelings for Tendou-san?"
"Umm... I don't know how to answer this. Actually when she broke up with me, I was sad but I also felt a little relaxed."
'I felt a little relaxed' - Brutal! Absolutely BRUTAL! Tendou-san might suicide being heartbroken if she hears this...
"Also... I think it was fun while we were a couple. I don't have any hard feelings."
Oh dear oh dear... if only he knew the 'break up' message was not supposed to be sent...
I was trying to remember everything that happened 3 hours ago when I was with the other three...

3 Hours Ago:
I was surrounded by 3 people - Uehara-kun, Tendou-san and another girl I didn't know before... later I came to know she is Hoshinomori Chiaki.
I first misunderstood that Uehara-kun might be cheating with these two girls but I was fortunately wrong. Then they explained me everything and I understood that it... was in fact a very complicated matter.
"So after the terrible double date, you guys didn't talk to each other."
"Yeah." - all of them answered in a synchronous way.
"And you guys didn't even go to school today."
"Yeah."
I turned to Tendou-san and said, "So Tendou-san... you came to supermarket and saw Amanokun."
"Yeah... actually I mistakenly sent a break up message to his phone. And I didn't know how to clear things to him. So when I saw him in the supermarket I thought it was the best chance. But he disappeared after that and I didn't find him there. And also... I saw Uehara-kun cheating with Hoshinomori-san, so I kinda forgot what my main purpose was..."
"I told you we weren't cheating!", Both Uehara-kun and Hoshinomori-san exclaimed in synchronous motion.
I then turned to Uehara-kun and said, "So Uehara-kun... coincidentally you also arrived at the same supermarket and you saw Aguri-san? So maybe Aguri-san and Amano-kun both were there?"
"Yeah I too think that.", Uehara-kun answered with disappointment, "In fact I saw them together in the morning. They were in school uniform but they were hanging outside instead of going to school."
I glanced at Tendou-san and I could feel her heart getting broken into pieces. That was a lot of damage.
"Anyway.", I turned to the last one. "Umm... Hoshinomori-san right? You also somehow ended up being in the double date? How?"
"Eto...", she fumbled a bit and then said, "It's actually a coincidence that I and my sister were there that day."
"Okay... then why are you upset after that event?"
"Huh?", Hoshinomori-san looked as if she didn't understand my question.
"I mean I understand Uehara-kun and Tendou-san getting upset over what happened in the double date with their respective partners. But why are you upset over what happened there?"
"Ohh... T-That...", Hoshinomori-san stuttered.
I could feel Tendou-san also getting a little bit curious over my question. And I could almost hear Uehara-kun saying "Ah sh*t" in panic. Why is he panicking?
"A-Actually when I saw everyone sad after that event, I also got upset.", Hoshinomori-san somehow answered.
"Yeah of course! She is so pure after all. So pure Hoshinomori. Good girl.", Uehara-kun then supported her answer and... started stroking her head! Now I have serious doubts on him.
"Anyway... So you want my help?"
"Yes!", they all claimed at same time.
Tendou-san said, "Misumi-kun, you're Amano-kun's friend and you can find out what is actually happening. And also... please tell Amano-kun that the 'break up' message was a mistake."
Do that yourself! Talk to him! Why are you guys not talking?
"Let me tell you... I have a plan but I want all of you to come to the Game club next day after school.", I said.
"Ah... oh... okay...", they all hesitated a bit but finally agreed to it.

Back to Present:
It's 9:30 PM. We were still sitting on the bench of the stoppage. I was waiting for my bus and Amano-kun was accompanying me. It's about time for my bus to come, so I stood up and asked him,
"So you want the misunderstandings to be cleared, Amano-kun? You want Uehara-kun and
Aguri-san to get back together?"
"Of course I do."
"Okay... so I have a plan."
"Plan? What- ah wait a minute please, someone's calling me."
Amano-kun's phone started ringing at that time, so our conversation got halted for some time. Amano-kun looked a bit annoyed while seeing his phone screen. Maybe his parents? It's already this late, so it's understandable for his parents to ring him.
Amano-kun answered the call, "Hello. Yeah what? Huh? You messaged me 10 times. I didn't check my phone since you had left. Why? Just because I usually play games, it doesn't mean I always stick to my phone. Okay okay. But why did you call me? Ah... yeah I'm... good. Why're you asking me, you just saw me a little ago..."
Hey hold on a minute... this conversation... who is Amano-kun talking to on his phone? It certainly doesn't look like his parents. And Amano-kun's cheek got a little red... Don't tell me...
"Okay bye...", Amano-kun smiled as he ended the call. Now he turned to me and said, "So what plan were you talking about?"
"Ah I'm asking you and Aguri-san to come at the game club tomorrow."
"Ah the game club? But there?"
"That's a comfortable place to work out this plan. Do you agree?"
"If Misumi-kun has thought of something then it must be something good."
"Thanks for that. Anyway Amano-kun... who was that caller right now?"
"Ah the phone call... it was from Aguri-san. She returned home just now so she was asking me if I had returned home safely. I lied to her that I returned home so that she doesn't get worried, haha."
"GET A ROOM!"
"Eh? What happened, Misumi-kun?"
"Nothing. I'm just thinking how incredible that everything on this world is wrong and everyone is idiot including me."
"What has actually happened?"

Amano Keita:
I returned home after 15 minutes. I don't know what had happened to Misumi-kun but he returned home by bus looking really frustrated. My brother teased me a little bit with talks about Aguri-san. He though I was with her all this time. I didn't try to explain him anything because I'm too tired.
After taking a quick shower, I entered my room. I had no other works left. So I thought of playing some games. But again, I had no energy left in me.
At this time my phone again flashed up. I saw another message from Aguri-san.
{Don't you dare play games at this time. Just get back to bed. Understood?}
Yeah yeah... does she have a 3rd eye?
{Understood Mademoiselle.}
{Also don't play games tomorrow in the school at the break. I will be waiting behind the main building for you.}
Huh? Why? I didn't know what is roaming in her head this time.
{Okay... but can I ask why?}
{You would find out there.}
Umm... okay... I really didn't know what she was up to.

I put my phone on my table and prepared to sleep. I could feel my beloved video games screaming to me to play with them. Sorry games... but not tonight.
I closed my eyes and thought of various things that happened today. At this time, my phone rang up. Who was this time?
I got a little annoyed and saw the screen. It's written 'Aguri-san'.
"Hello."
"Jeez Amanocchi. You slept already?"
"No, if I slept, who is this talking to you then? However I was about to sleep. "
"But it's unfair. You can't sleep before me."
"Huh? What do you want then?"
"Let's talk until I sleep."
"Isn't that unfair to me now?"
"Anyway, I want you to hear about..."
Ah she started her usual talks again. I couldn't help but smile while listening to her. Her chatters are annoying at times but I still love that regardless. It's just that I can't live without it. I didn't remember how long that conversation continued until I fell asleep, but I did get a very peaceful sleep.
