Branna wasn't really upset at all to hear about the change of plans. She was just very happy that Penny was also getting married to a great guy. That they were both selkies didn't bother her one bit and in fact she was proud to have two of them join her family. The fact that Penny and Aaron had only been engaged for 24-hour also didn't bother her.
"Well you reacted differently than I thought you would," Penelope said in amusement once she learned that her mother wasn't upset.
"You thought I would be upset?" Branna asked with a smile.
"Well, it is pretty sudden, so I figured that you might not be happy with the change in plans," Penelope said.
"It's not like I have to change anything in this late stage," Branna said in amusement. "Other than we need to get you and Aaron some nice clothes. Something the two of you don't ordinarily wear."
"I have a nice sundress along with everything else that goes along for such an outfit, except shoes," Penelope said. "And Aaron has a nice pair of slacks and a dress shirt. I think he plans to go barefoot, just like I do. We don't need anything fancier mom."
"I suppose not, not for a wedding on the beach with so few people," Branna admitted. "This isn't the kind of wedding I was hoping to plan for my daughters, but since your marrying selkies, this will just have to do."
"I never wanted a big wedding and neither did Alex," Penelope told her mother who nodded sadly. Penelope had made no friends here or at least not close ones, so she couldn't blame her daughter for not wanting to invite many people to her wedding. All those that had made their opinions known about her and her brother could just miss out because of their prejudice, which might upset a few people, but that was to bad.
A witch, was a witch and a warlock, was a warlock and it shouldn't matter that one of their parents had been human, though Branna was well aware that it did to a lot of people.
"The ceremony will be just as binding as it would've been if it took place in a church," Penelope told Branna. "And also much more meaningful. Having it on the beach will make Dave and Aaron happy and I'm sure they won't mind if some of the selkies in the area come watch if they want too."
"Well, Sedgwick has been meaning to introduce Dave and Aaron to the leader anyway," Branna murmured.
"I would talk it over with them first and see what they want," Penelope said.
"I'll talk to Sedgwick," Branna decided.

Part 4
"It's nice to meet you," Norris said, shaking both Dave's and Aaron's hands. Norris was dressed in jeans and a collared shirt and was of course barefoot just like all the other participants. It was just after the wedding when Norris had come over and introduced himself. One selkie could recognize another easily enough.
Both Dave and had been happy to have the leader of the Selkies invited to their wedding.
"It's nice to meet you too, sir," Aaron said.
"So where do you originally hail from?" asked Norris.
Dave told him and Norris nodded thoughtfully.
"That isn't where selkies are usually from," Norris said
"No it's not, we're usually up from around Ireland and Scotland, but my colony moved there at least a hundred years ago. I'm not sure what the problem was originally, but could have been just a matter of running out of space or because there was contaminates in the water that were killing them off, so the survivors fled," Dave said.
"From the way that Dave and I understand it our colony used to be far larger, but we've been dying off slowly due to lack of children mostly," Aaron added.
"Or at least children that can transform into humans," Dave agreed with Aaron. "Our colony is having the same problem that all selkies do eventually. Both Aaron and I are the seventh generation of our families and none of them have married humans in all that time."
"So you needed to find brides that were human," Norris said in understanding. "Not something that's very easy nowadays for most of our kind. We have a very good set up here and I'm well aware of it. You are welcome here, and welcome to come visit if you like."
"We might just do that sometime," Aaron said. "We're going to start having children ourselves."
"A day we're both looking forward to," Dave said smiling at the thought.
"I would be too if I had just gotten married to two lovely ladies," Norris chuckled. "One of them a Blake, which is pretty important around here."
"That's not why I married her though," Dave said. "I married her because I fell in love."
"Still..." Norris said.
"It doesn't really matter," Aaron said. "We both fell in love and that's all that matters."
"We both feared we'd have to use a spell on two likely candidates so when I met Alex it was is if it was a gift from the gods," Dave said. "We share a lot of the same ethics and morals and care about keeping the sea clean. We never run out of things to talk about. It was a day we never believed would happen," Dave said. "At least the people in town know about selkies, so when one comes out of the sea looking for a mate there are not usually any problems."
"Yes, the colony is well aware how lucky we are," Norris agreed. "You and your children and your brides will always be welcome. I know the Blakes at least have the ability to transform into seals."
"Yeah, Alex does," Dave said smiling. "We've explored the bottom of the sea around where we live now more than once. She doesn't dare stay transformed for more than 3 to 4 hours at a time though."
Norris was nodding at this, because he was aware of the dangers of staying transformed to long. A witch or a warlock transforming into a seal did not keep their human thoughts like the selkies could. It was all too easy to get stuck that way if one of them wasn't very careful. A short transformation for only a few hours was okay, but to stay that way more then six or so was doubly dangerous.
"We hope to see your children in our all little town,"
"I'm sure we'll visit along with the children," Aaron said. "Alex and Penny's family is here after all."
"So not planning on living here?" Norris asked.
"Not enough entertainment," Aaron said. "It's a nice enough town, but Penny in particular would be bored."
"We have jobs at a small college, and while we could just quit we don't want to if we don't absolutely have to."
Norris nodded at this.
"We originally came to that small town looking for mates of our own and didn't find them for years," Aaron said. "Now though, it's home."
Norris understood and wished them well. He had already met Alex and her sister Penelope several times when he came to talk to their father about business, so there was no need to introduce him to the two lovely brides.
~~~Criminal Minds~~~
"Dean, you wanted to see us?" Came the voice of Daniell.
"Yes, I did. Please sit down ladies," Dean James suggested firmly.
Finnigan, Daniell and Harcourt did just that arranging themselves comfortably.
"Now, ladies, you might not know this, but I'm well aware of the harassment, David Rossi and Aaron Hotchner," Dean James began.
"They finally filed a lawsuit against you something they should have done a long time ago," Dean James continued.
The three ladies just looked down at their clasped hands in their laps flushing in embarrassment. They'd had no idea that Dean had even been aware of their constant persistence of asking the 2 men out on dates, but really, they should have been, because the college was not that big with only a few thousand students. He was bound hear about it eventually through the college grapevine, even if Dave and Aaron never reported them. The dean however, wouldn't have been able to do anything without a complaint.
"I see you know what I'm talking about," Dean James said seeing their downcast expressions.
"Yes, sir," Daniell answered while the other two said nothing, knowing that they were likely in a great deal of trouble. What they had been doing would be considered harassment, especially since they kept it out for a good half a dozen years. Asking someone out a few times was one thing, but the way they'd been going about it had only ticked off the two men until they'd had enough. Harcourt at least, didn't even know why she had kept asking them both out, but she couldn't seem to resist every time she ran into one of them.
"It has gone on long enough ladies and you'll find yourself fired if you keep it up. Quite frankly, how the two of them put up with your persistence for so long is beyond me. They both must have the patience of saints. In any case, the papers in that folder there are six suits for harassment against the three of you, two for each of you. I finally convinced them to file them, something they should've done at least two or three years ago when you didn't give up. Dave and Aaron are now prepared to file these charges if you don't stop your harassment. You will avoid Dave, Aaron, Dave's wife Alex and Aaron's wife Penelope, whenever you see them."
The ladies stared at the folders in front of them as if they were hot coals, but finally opened them up and scanned them quickly. All three women read them and were shattered that both of the men they had been chasing were now married. They hadn't even known that Aaron Hotchner was dating anyone, so she must not work at the college. That both Dave and Aaron had filed harassment suits finally made them understand that they had been more than annoyances. Even the nicest of people could only take so much before they finally did something. They had restraining orders placed on them several times by men that they had annoyed when one of them kept chasing him, calling at all hours showing up where they weren't expected. They would've done the same to David Rossi and Aaron Hotchner if they'd had their phone numbers, something they refused to divulge.
"You cornering my new teacher Alex Blake to threaten her to break up with Mr. Rossi was way over the line. I'm sure you'd know this if you weren't obsessed with those two men specifically. The only reason you're not under arrest is you didn't actually physically attack her, as I'm sure she would've pressed charges and Dave and probably Aaron would've backed her up."
Finnigan, Harcourt and Daniell hung their heads in shame.
"I see that you feel guilty for what you did. Good you should. Or maybe you just feel guilty that all your sins are finally coming home to roost. You are very close to losing me three of my best teachers ladies," Dean James told them quietly the annoyance clear in his voice. "You're good teachers to if you would just leave people alone when they say no. Saying no to dating one of you is not playing hard to get if that's what you believe. It's saying no, I'm not interested."
"We have been kind of persistent," Harcourt admitted starting to feel guilty.
"Yes, you have and the way that Dave lost his temper with you a few days ago ought to tell you that you have gone way beyond the boundaries of good taste. If you had tried the same tactic on Aaron I'm sure he to would've lost his temper. I have never seen both men as disgusted, as I did when they agreed to file harassment suits. They are not your property ladies and never have been. You seem to believe that only you have the right to date them."
"They have dated before," Finnigan tried.
"Yes, they have and I'm surprised you didn't threaten those ladies the way you threatened my new teacher. It shouldn't matter if Alex Blake is a newcomer or not. I'm sure you saw her as an interloper."
"We just don't understand why they kept turning us down," Daniell tried.
"Because you don't know anything about them, not really," Dean James said firmly. "I would think you would've realized the way you were so persistent asking them out most every workday only would have made them mad and more determined never to date you. You would've clung to them like limpets and refused to release them when they told you it was over, if past behavior is anything to go by. They have told me everything and how they refused to give you their telephone numbers or addresses. I'm sure you would have called at all hours of the day and night. "I already know you have several restraining orders against each of you, as I have a friend on the police force. Don't force Dave, Aaron, or Alex to do the same. If I lose three of my best teachers ladies, you will be in deep trouble. I know that Dr. Blake has not been here very long, but her classes are very popular and it might just become a permanent part of the curriculum. I can easily replace the three of you if I have to, it's not so easy to replace the three of them. That they're actually very good teachers is not all that common. They all connect with their students. Technically, they're not the ones in the wrong here you are."
"What has that little chit done for him," Daniell said angrily.
"If I hear you say that to her face you'll being reprimanded," Dean James warned quietly, with anger clear in his tone. "It doesn't matter what their relationship is, they are very happy together. They just happened to run into each other on accident and just got to talking. Relationships have been built on less than that. You don't seem to share many similarities with them at all from what I have observed, so how do you ever expected either one to even consider dating you is beyond me. I don't care what you think about Dr. Blake personally, but you better keep it to yourselves or Dave will likely decide to file that harassment suit.
"I doubt he will put up with you bad mouthing his wife, especially to her face and believe me, he'll hear about it if it does happen, probably from her own mouth."
All three ladies continued to look at their hands that were in their laps with guilty expressions. They had lost, something they had already known really. The fact that they had cornered Alex just for dating David Rossi was to far and they had known that at the time, but it hadn't stopped them. There was just something about the 2 men that was indefinable, but attracted them like no other had before. It was why they'd been so persistent. They would have to avoid the three of them from now on or they would say something that made the two men file the harassment suits against them at the very least and that was at a minimum. They could find themselves fired and they doubted they'd be able to get other jobs at another college, because it wasn't like the dean or the head of their departments was going to give them a good recommendation. If the dean knew about their harassment, then it was a good bet that almost everyone did. They hadn't considered how gossip went through the grapevine in a place like a college, but they should have.
"We'll leave them alone," Harcourt said and the other two nodded.
"Good, you had better or these get filed," Dean James said tapping the folder in front of him. "I just wanted you to know that neither Dave or Aaron wanted to do this, but saw no choice in the matter, as they knew you'd probably never leave them alone without harassment suits hanging over your heads. They could take each of you for thousands of dollars for all the crap they've had to put up with over the years.
"By the way, I'd better not hear any new rumors about them either, as I'll know the source if I do. I've heard how you were willing to spread the rumor that the only reason Dave was marrying Dr. Blake was because she was pregnant, which would have tarnished her reputation, even though it wasn't true. I'm not saying that Dr. Blake couldn't have endured the whispers that would have occurred until it was proven otherwise, just that it would've been a falsehood and a lie has a way of taking on a life of it's own. That you were even briefly willing, to start rumors about someone you didn't even know, ought to show you the weaknesses in your characters. It certainly shows me that you're willing to do a lot of damage to somebody who has done nothing to you and who you don't really know at all. I'd remember that for the future ladies, so beware."
~~~Criminal Minds~~~
The three women filed out of the dean's office over an hour later thoroughly chastised.
"So where we go from here?" Harcourt asked.
"We leave them alone that's what we do," Finnigan answered. "I have no doubt that they're serious about filing those harassments suits if we annoy them any farther, because after all why would they have bothered to go through all that legal hoopla if they weren't serious. We could lose our jobs or have to pay out thousands of dollars apiece of compensation for all the mental and emotional agony we have put them through. They're married now, so that means they're off limits."
"I have to agree, as annoying as it is," Daniell said. "David Rossi has never lost his temper, even though it was clear he was annoyed when one of us kept asking him for a date. We wouldn't be in this situation if we had just laid off him and Aaron when we should have. We should have stopped bothering them at least three or four years ago when it was clear that neither one was interested. If we want to be honest here, then we really created the situation we now find ourselves in."
"Cornering Alex Blake when she was just his girlfriend I now see was very stupid," Harcourt admitted. "I know we thought we could intimidate her into breaking up with him but we should've waited and watched."
"We believed they'd only been dating for a few weeks and didn't realize they had been seeing each other since near the beginning of summer," Finnigan admitted. "That was our mistake."
"We should have realized that Dave or Aaron probably wouldn't want anything to do with us if we threatened someone they cared about," Darnell added.
"They've never wanted anything to do with us anyway," Harcourt said. "Something we should have realized a long time ago."
The three women walked down away from the dean's office not realizing that they'd had a spell put on them to leave Dave, Aaron, Alex and Penny alone.
