Ok, so this chapter will be about the different dimensions and mostly what they were doing... A perfectly normal scenario.
Game Sonic Dimension – Spiral Hill Village
In this lovely morning, Sonic had been called to the kinda infamous village due to the fact that it never stopped being under attack, wether something as common as being invaded by badniks to being a major location during the metal virus or Eggman himself attacking the town, but for now none of that was happening, it was completely fresh without any invasion or attack whatsoever to worry about. In fact, it was the exact reason why he was called and why he didn't hesitate to go there, visiting the town just to say hello is always nice.
Especially when the one's that's calling you is Tangle.
By not attending a call from her you could be missing from one of the most thrilling or funniest moments of your life, take a shot.
'Meet us at the forest' was not the most specific location the lemur could give but it was something and also completely harmless, giving surprises was nothing new of Tangle and sparked the interest in anyone.
After scouting the nearby forest around the village, Sonic found Tangle hanging upside down from her tail off a tree while Whisper was just resting in another one shyly watching her bounce around
"There you are!" said the lemur coming down from the tree before Sonic could even react "For being the fastest thing alive you really take your time! Almost got bored".
"Are you implying that I was slow?" said Sonic slightly teasing
"Well, duh, if you're fast enough you feel like everything moves too slow- I'm challenging you to a race!" she said excited
"Wow, wow! You are challenging me to a race?"
Tangle nodded proudly.
"You can be fast but it takes knowing an area pretty well to take an advantage in a race ya know?"
"Yeah, yeah, as you say it... Just tell me where do we start and where do we end and you got me".
"From here all the way to Barricade Town!"
"Wow, you aren't messing around"
"I need some movement Sonic! Especially when the world isn't at stake".
"Well… your town, your rules- when do we start?"
"Whenever Whisper decides to fire".
And so, the two racers got into position as Whisper selected the 'lazer' setting for a quick and simple shot that would mark the start of the competition.
"Maybe I should give you a five-second head start" said Sonic stretching out.
"Don't even think about it!"
Right before the beige wolf was just about to shoot, a black, purple and blue portal began to slowly appear behind the hedgehog becoming bigger and bigger until the three of them noticed it. At first it was just a portal but after a few seconds Sonic saw himself being mildly pulled in.
However it was only pulling in Sonic, Tangle and Whisper both seemed unaffected by it nor even feeling the wind sucking in.
"Uh, a little help girls?" he said beginning to sprint in place trying to escape from it.
"Right! Whisper, grab my tail!"
Whisper immediately came to action doing what Tangle said and activating the 'hover' setup to propel them backwards however, this didn't work either as Sonic was now levitating making impossible to gain traction.
In just a few seconds later, the three of them were sucked in with the portal vanishing as fast as it came leaving no traces of being there
Archie Sonic Dimension (Post-SGW*) – Sky Patrol
The Freedom Fighters desperately deserved a break. Saving the world was mostly usual for them but after their last adventure where they had to find seven keys, seven temples and seven chaos emeralds scattered around a broken world, it was more exhausting.
But that's alright; they were going to take some time to do something else. Having an after-party with Chip –or Light Gaia- would have been fine but he had to do his duty and they had to do theirs, also the last time it resulted in a premature celebration so that was out of the window.
"So Nicole…" said Sally to the main computer "Did you finished the 'fun-ideas-to-do' list that Sonic tasked you with?"
The A.I sighed chuckling.
"Sort of, we shouldn't be relaxing so soon but what can I say? Sonic wanted this and we do kinda deserve it".
"Yeah, but… fun is subjective".
"And you didn't discuss that with him?"
"Actually-"
She was cut off by what it could be a call out for help… If the voice of Sonic calling Sally desperately can be considered a call for help of course. The chipmunk wasted no time and rushed to the bedrooms where the voice was coming from.
Once she arrived she encountered a very odd scene. Sonic midway being sucked by a black portal with every Freedom Fighter making a chain trying to pull him out with Tails trying to pull from the body.
"What happened?!" she said.
"Ah think we could use your help Sally-girl," said Bunnie struggling "Then we discuss what this is!"
Sally internally agreed ready to see if she could pull Sonic out or having to Nicole to analyze the portal but right when she was about to do something the portal quickly closed causing everyone to drop and hurt something in the process.
"Mon Dieu…" said Antoine getting up.
"What even was that?" said Amy.
"Some sort of wormhole I assume?" added Rotor.
"But it was only trying to get Sonic," commented Tails confused "We didn't seemed affected".
"Whatever that was, it can't be a random event" said Sally once everyone adjusted themselves "Maybe we can get Nicole to check it out".
"I hope so," added Sonic feeling like his lower half was going to break apart "'Cause I don't wanna go through that again".
Suddenly the entire Sky Patrol base began to rumble causing some things to fall under and forcing everyone to hold on onto something because it was starting to bang sideways to the left. Everyone quickly understood that the portal was probably outside the base now and was now grabbing the entire ship.
Sonic X Dimension – In a Cabin in the Woods
"I just don't want to be alone again," said Chris to Sonic sitting at the edge of a dock "Since you've arrived I've never felt more… accompanied".
"You will have your parents" Sonic tried to cheer him up.
"It's not the same, they're always working and busy and…" he began to tear up "Do you need to leave?"
"Hey, just because I'm leaving doesn't mean we'll never see each other again".
"You think so?"
"Yeah, you never expected for someone like me to arrive so-"
Their conversation was interrupted by a portal that opened next to Sonic that –unlike the other ones- quickly absorbed him without giving much time to react against it.
"No! Sonic, wait!" Chris right now couldn't contain himself and let his emotions get the better of him jumping straight to the portal without thinking in the consequences with this closing behind him
Sonic SatAM Dimension – Woods
At this point Sonic had been contacted by Sally after reporting him some strange sightings of a mysterious creature. Nothing more than that, the only major feature Bunnie once detected was some red eyes in the forest before disappearing.
So right now it was just Sonic, his backpack, some trees and the light of the moon and given that he had already been exploring for a while and hadn't seen nothing or spotting anything unusual, so he was just about to retreat and inform the others that probably it culd be maybe some badniks... that was until he passed right by a portal that had suddenly appeared.
"Heh! I guess it is true! Now... I guess I have to... uh- I wasn't told what to do!"
While he was arguing with himself the portal began to pull him inwards very quickly.
"Woah!" just like the previous ones, he tried to fight against it but it was no use as he was also engulfed by the vortex.
Boom Sonic Dimension – Tails's House
Lying in a couch… Waiting for Eggman to send a couple of badniks… Destroy them… Wait for someone to do something stupid… Fix that… And Repeat
A life like this would get pretty boring but it was also extremely unpredictable so there's that, especially when one of your friends was a paranoid badger that can't go for half a minute without saying some ballistic nonsense.
"Sonic!" Sticks came right through the door mildly scaring the hedgehog who was pretty apathetic to her appearance.
"You need to get up! We are being watched!" she claimed being practically above Sonic.
"Yeah, you always say that, but aren't people watching this anyway?"
"I'm not talking about them, you don't think something's gonna happen in three seconds that will send us into an adventure?!"
Once she said that, a portal opened up right on top where Sonic was lying on.
"Wait, a portal?" Sticks said to herself "I've been in one of those before and I'm not gonna pass up the chance of going again!"
Before Sonic even began to feel the effects of the portal, Sticks immediately went into it and another guest managed came through the door just as Sonic felt being pulled in.
"Hey Sonic I-" his best friend, Tails, arrived with a bag of what it looked to be like tons of food but dropped them to the ground when he saw the portal "No way! Is that an interdimensional portal that will take you right into an adventure?"
"Great, so now everyone knows what it is?" he said carelessly and mildly disturbed right before going through it.
"Wait! I need to go!" said Tails doing the exact same thing Sticks did
Movie Sonic Dimension – Tom's House
"C'mon we have to do this!" Sonic said excitedly leading Tom to his not-hideout-and-more-like-a-room.
"Yes, we have to do it but it doesn't need to be now" Tom protested while following Sonic.
"It'll be just for a minute! Then you can go to do everything else!"
Tom sighed, but ultimately agreed, whatever it was it should be quick anyway. He also decided to close his eyes because Sonic said that it would add for dramatic effect.
"Okay, now you can open them!"
And voila! Right in front of Tom there was a homemade table tennis and the ping pong full set which quickly gave away what exactly Sonic wanted.
"Ping pong?" asked Tom slightly surprised
"Yes! I know, it may not be the most exciting but playing it with another person sounds so fun!"
Tom hesitated a bit but after considering for a few seconds and Sonic 'puppy eyes', he was convinced on maybe playing a quick round or two.
"So, you start-.. Whoa, wait, what the hell is that?" he asked pointing quickly behind Sonic.
Sonic stopped getting all excited to look behind to spot a portal that was slowly appearing.
"Seems to be like a portal... And I can't interact with it," the hedgehog said analyzing it phasing his hand through it but quickly realizing that it was stuck "And I can't get out now- some help?"
Tom was pretty shocked but he immediately put to work by trying to hold to the table while holding Sonic at the same time.
"Where are the rings?!" shouted Sonic making Tom low-key panic trying to look desperately for them and spotting them in a nearby table but not close enough for him to reach it out without letting Sonic go in the process. He tried to stretch out as much as he could but every time he was close to grab them he could feel Sonic slipping out of his hand. However, he did manage to grab the bag but on doing so Sonic was pulled into the portal with him quickly following through.
And just like that we've finished our roster! Now we're good to go straight to the next chapter and off to the adventure! But Tails only picked 'one' in the previous chapter and here we have six at the same time...
*As previously stated, the SGW never happened, this is just an easier way for you (the reader) to identify which one is which
Also I have to admit, that I have very little knowledge of Sonic SatAM, but I wanted a Sonic from Jaleel White and AoSTH was not the type I wanted and Underground Sonic is no use, so I went with this one and I apologize in advance if there's anything I miss.
