ANNOUNCEMENT: So, I've said in previous A/N's that I chose SatAM Sonic because the other two Sonics voiced by Jaleel White were not known to me so I couldn't include them in the story, however, before I went any further in the story I decided to make a 1-hour long analysis for each of them (around 50 minutes of reviews of SatAM, Underground and Adventures of) and I realized that SatAM Sonic has very little to zero overlasting impact for the story I want to tell so...
SatAM Sonic has been replaced with Underground Sonic.
Yeah... after many research I feel more confident writing him than SatAM and again, he's better for the story I want to tell on the long-run, I do apologize for making this huge change but... the story hasn't changed in the slighest, he still bumps into Tom (which will continue here) and everything is exactly as we left off, some things have been re-worded but everything is exactly as ya'll know sorry... Again, sorry, but I hope that doesn't stop you from enjoying it!
When explaining all the events, Tails tried to cover mostly the important things but also had to explain some slight details to the team that they asked like how the Knothole ruins became ruins when Eggman launched a surprisingly successful attack, but excluding those, he had to go all the way to the beginning explaining Eggman's original plan. Robotize the entire planet with the push of a button, a plan that was avoided by reverting the energy of the attack, however, it came at the cost of losing Sally into a killer, mindless, salve robot to Eggman, after that things just started to slowly fall apart.
New Metropolis, the city that protected everyone after Knothole's destruction, was attacked and partially destroyed, Antoine got in a comma after engaging in a battle against practically a living bomb that blew up in front of his face and Bunnie left in guilt to an unknown place, but of course he also explained their upbringings and how the idea of bringing a different Sonic from another dimension came to be along with how the latest mission on the Death Egg forced them to use it as a last-resort plan. Of course while the team was listening to what happened to their counterparts they were shocked, surprised or with confused emotions.
"What happened to the Rotor in this dimension?" asked Rotor himself.
"I checked on him," said Tails slowly noticing the looks in everyone's faces "He's preparing the de-robotizer with Nicole right now".
"De-robotizer?" asked Sally still speechless about the situation "So, you do have something in hand?"
"Yeah, that's what I said we were doing in the Death Egg".
"But you also said that you had no plan for your Sally if you succeeded" Tails judgy remarked.
"Well, yeah... but now we do! But... what happened on your side of the story, what were you doing before you got brought here?"
"Eh," said Sonic "A portal showed up in our ship, tried to get me, couldn't, it brought the entire ship instead".
"So, is that why you're all here?"
"Pretty much," he replied smiling "But that is nothing special, you said you brought us here to help so that's what we're gonna do".
"Just like that? Don't you need some rest? Antoine and Bunnie have been holding hands since I told you what happened..."
The two of them looked each other realizing that they had indeed been together in shock after Tails told them where were their counterparts and what happened to them, now that he pointed it out, it was just awkward making them break the hand-holding blushing.
"They're gonna be okay," Amy added "But that's exactly the reason why you brought us here, and if that's our mission then we can sure accomplish it! We are the Freedom Fighters after all".
Tails scratched his head shyly.
"Yeah I guess... but there's a light problem..."
"What's that?" asked Amy right before her question was answered.
Right after she asked it, two more people came out through the doors that led to the more casual rooms, one of them was a human and the other one... Sonic.
"You would be pretty cool if you were in our band Tom" said Sonic.
"I would love that but- oh god" Tom's mood abruptly changed when he saw everyone in the room immediately knowing that his situation was only going to get worse and worse.
"Another one?! Four are already enough..." said Tails shocked "And who are you? How did you got in here?"
"How did I-" Tom sighed "I would love to know that! I was playing with Sonic then a portal appeared and then I was under... this- is this underground?"
"Yes it is, and you were playing with him?" he asked pointing to the Sonic who was more paying attention to the Freedom Fighters.
"No, I was playing with Sonic... I mean, I- he is also Sonic, but he's not mine..."
Tails stared in confusion.
"Uh, Tails, did you said there are four Sonics?" asked the other Tails.
"Uh... yes, I did" he replied scratching his head realizing what he said.
"Okay, there is a multi-dimensional party," added Sonic "What's so wrong with that?".
"A multi-dimensional what?" Tom said to himself in the background.
"Well, because I only picked one Sonic to bring here and because the Council of Acorn explicitly ordered us to do it that way".
"Wait, the Council of Acorn?" said Sally whose interest was perked by the name of it.
"Is basically a council made by six people plus the king, all of our plans have to be confirmed by then otherwise we take the risk of getting caught-".
"Hey," interrupted Tom "I don't know who you are but you seem like you know what's going on".
"I try to".
"Yeah, do you know why I'm here and where is Sonic..? my Sonic".
"I haven't even found my Sonic, uh, sir. I think you have to wait like most off us".
There was a small pause where you could feel that someone wanted to ask one more questions because despite having some things were cleared up, a few of them could be more explained in detail, however, they were about to get even more confused because right before anyone could ask another thing, T-Pup entered through the stairs followed by none other than... another Sonic and another Tails. This just shook the already shocked guests except for Tails who contacted T-Pup previously.
"Huh, more than one Tails..." said the newly arrived Tails "Yes! I knew this was a different dimension! I win!"
"It doesn't matter," Sonic replied rolling his eyes "We're here and there's three Sonics, three Tails, these guys and whoever that tall guy is so here is an adventure waiting to happen or some sort of group in the making".
For a few seconds no one said anything trying to get what was he talking about.
"My name is Tom".
"Is that T-Pup?" Tails asked.
"That's actually my T-Pup, I asked him to bring... them here".
"C'mon it's not like we're that annoying" Sonic replied cockily noticing the emphasis on the word 'them' making everyone just stare at him in shock and surprise for that kind of attitude including the two other Sonics who felt as if they were reacting to a part of themselves.
"Okay..." said Tails to himself awkwardly "T-Pup, what time is it?"
The little bot showed through his eyes that it was around six pm so... it was starting to get late.
"Wait until tomorrow?" Tails asked to the Freedom Fighters.
"Yes!" exclaimed Antoine almost instantly.
"I mean, we all could ge' some rest" added Bunnie.
"The situation sounds serious enough Bunnie" said Amy "And we were brought here to help so we should try to get some advantage".
"I'm with Amy on this one," agreed Rotor "We also have our world to take care of but helping others is what we do and we faster we do it, better".
"No guys, we're resting for now," Sally said firmly "There are many things going on and maybe that's what we all need right now".
Despite some slight complains they all went with the idea of sleeping and starting everything tomorrow once things had properly settled because having three Tails and three Sonics in the same room was very confusing and could probably get more confusing as the time went on so a rest was necessary, leaving Tom and the rest with a slight sense of wanting more, it's not everyday where an inter-dimensional adventure happens and your best buds are missing.
"So I guess we don't get a say in this?" Tom asked to the Sonic that was with him.
"Heh, wait until tomorrow buddy!"
For Tom, waiting was frustrating but maybe everyone was right, maybe sleeping was something they needed after all but finding Sonic was also important, he only required to know where exactly he was and if it was a dangerous place then using one of the rings would be considered an emergency situation, at least Tails was going to explain some things to him and the newcomers so that's something.
"How do I keep bumping into Sonics?" he thought.
Leaving it here for now, wanted to write more but I feel like this word-count is enough and adding more scenes would only make it a bit longer and an unsatisfying end to some of them so it's done... Also, a little note, the hour difference between the Freedom HQ (this chapter) and Artika (where Movie Sonic is) is just 1 hour difference, nothing major.
Oh by the way, having three same characters in the same room may be a bit confusing to keep track of who's who just by reading but I have a solution for that so it'll be easy... See you soon!
