Heyy..! Remember Chris? Because he and Whisper and the two side-characters that are still yet to be introduced (and Sticks but I have something prepared for her)
Also we got a new Sonic TV Show announced that will premiere in netflix and guess what's about? A multiverse, I guess i'm early to the party... Anyways, here you go!
Chris woke up very comfortable in what it seemed to be a bed which upon further inspection of his surroundings he was that he was inside a house, however, this house was completely unknown to him, and it was more like a hut rather than the usual modern and suburban houses he was used to. Also this bed may be comfortable but it was definitely pretty small, it barely fit him so there was that, so something must've happened during his last chat with Sonic that took him here, could this be Sonic's world? If that was the cause then that was going to be his best day ever. Suddenly he saw in the main entrance someone who resembled a lot like Sonic except that she was female, had a lighter shade of blue and also had a small crest of yellow hair looking as if she had been there for quite a time.
"I'm glad that you are awake" she said with a very caring and sweet voice.
Chris didn't replied but he felt as he should, however he was still wondering what exactly happened.
"What brings you to these regions?" she asked.
"I..." Chris tried to answer her questions but got instead carried away by his own curiosity "Do you happen to know Sonic?"
The hedgehog chuckled.
"You could say I do, after all a mother has to know his son pretty well, you can call me Bernie".
"You're... you're Sonic's mom?!" Chris asked awestruck which she confirmed with a nod "I really am in another world!"
"Well, uh, but who are you? And what would you be doing in this city?" Bernie asked again
"Oh, my name is Chris!" he said getting out of bed "I'm Sonic's best friend and... I'm not sure how I got here".
"Best friend? You're not s-? Do you remember what were you doing before you... um, fell asleep?"
"Well, I was talking with him and then some sort of portal appeared and... I think I landed on his world!"
"It certainly isn't the first time Sonic has dealt with something from other world," she said to herself "You say you are his best friend?"
"Yes! I should now go look for him do you know where I can find him?"
Bernie was getting confused and a little worried at the kid's behaviour but she still was trying to answer kindly his questions.
"He should be out there, saving folks an-"
"Of course! Thanks a lot mom of Sonic! I have to get going to find him" he said to himself shaking Bernie's hand excitedly and storming to the door before being stopped by a male voice coming from behind.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you son," he said from the couch sitting in the living room "More confusion is the only thing you'll get out there, if you're determined to do it you can always wait until the sun sets... But for now, would you mind slowing down?" he said offering Chris a seat.
He was also a hedgehog but with a more robotic-looking version of one which was Chris' main focus while slightly paying attention at what he said.
"Are you Sonic's dad?"
"I'm afraid I am, but for now, I suggest you sit down for a while, my wife wanted to prepare you something once you recovered and no one wants to leave someone hanging right?"
Chris was still a bit in surprised, but maybe listening to the adults in the room of a world he didn't knew was the smartest thing and also saying thanks for bringing into their house, but he was still excited about finding Sonic on his own tonight. He just couldn't wait.
In another corner of the world, Whisper the Wolf was also in a similar situation, sleeping in a place that wasn't hers and simply lying comfortable while someone else waited for her to woke up, the problem was that she was taking more than usual in waking up, and that when that 'someone' found they also thought it was a good idea to take most of things that she had because right now she was without her coat, her mask or even her wispon, but she was sleeping so there was nothing to worry about... for now, because the second she came back from resting she abruptly incorporated remember everything that happened on the spot but this came at the cost of causing a weird and sudden headache.
She tried to quickly dismiss it and actually find her stuff once she realized that they weren't with her. And lucky for her, the coat was a few beds next to her which she immediately put back on, the lack of her instruments sparked a scary thought which to confirm it she poked the wisps containers causing all her little alien friends to bust out of them with the five hugging Whisper as they normally would, with the beige wolf being extremely relieved to see that they were all still together.
With Whisper now fully awake without headaches and his little gang still in the same place as she left them, the next step was now finding where she was and where was her weaponry, so right now there was no time to waste, however, when she was about to leave through a curtain-door, some footsteps were heard which meant that someone was approaching but there was no panic, Whisper hid next to the curtain hoping that the person would walk right past the room but it happened exactly the opposite, whoever was coming they entered right through but without noticing the wolf next to them.
Whisper quickly got out without paying attention to whom or what entered but the curtain made the right amount of wind to notice the person that someone was behind them. And despite Whisper trying to get away as quickly as possible but she was inevitably caught.
"Excuse me," a female voice came from behind but Whisper just continued running away instead of paying attention "Wait!"
The building was very similar like a castle with narrow hallways leading to many rooms, some of them with wooden doors others just with curtains, with someone from one of those 'curtain-rooms' casually leaving the room but immediately bumping into Whisper or better said, Whisper bumping into the person causing her to fall and lose the escape she was doing, however this time she did noticed who she bumped into, it was a gray male canine that was… hunky to put it in one way.
This also caused for her persecutor to catch up to her who was a canine as well but this one was female and had a more purple-gray-ish fur. Whisper recognized them as canines, however, despite that Whisper herself was a canine she couldn't distinguish which breed they were, they resembled wolves but neither of them looked like the wolves she was used to.
"We not going to hurt you," said the female offering her hand to help Whisper to get up "My name is Lupe".
"I'm glad to see she woke up," said the male wolf "Our other guest has also woke up but I don't think he can start running".
"Please don't run away," Lupe said while entering the room "We have your gear just… wait a second".
That was exactly what Whisper wanted and despite that she wanted to hurry, waiting shouldn't be that long. She also decided to enter the room to see who was this 'other guest' they were talking about and what she found was definitely shocking.
Silver the Hedgehog was also lying on the bed but unlike Whisper, he was pretty much struggling to get up and with a more intensive headache.
"I need to go back!" the hedgehog said trying to incorporate in the bed.
"But you don't look ready to… go where you need to," explained Lupe "Maybe you should rest a bit longer".
"I can't… I need to-" despite their suggestions, Silver still tried to get only to tumble a bit in dizziness, not falling, just trying to get firm on the ground that he managed to do with Whisper's help.
"Silver?"
"What? You know who I am? Great, I don't even wanna know how many paradoxes that causes" he said casually getting out of the room walking better but with his head still hurting.
The three wolves looked at each other in awe by Silver's casual manner in a moment where everyone had more than one question, however, only one of them was determined to get those answers. This time Whisper kindly asked Lupe for her weapons while she decided it was a good idea to go after Silver and he didn't know the way out so there was very little rush.
"Silver!" she called "You don't know who I am?"
"Huh? Why should I?" he stopped walking "I'm sorry, but I'm needed somewhere else" his voice sounded stressed and didn't wanted any small talk right now resuming his walk.
"You know where the exit is?"
Silver stopped once again sighing in frustration accepting the help from the owner of the house –if this was a house that is- who had just returned with Whisper's mask and wispon and apologized for hiding them trying to excuse it by stating that it was only for precaution with Whisper accepting it, at least her wisps had been there.
After a small chat explaining that this was the Wolf Pack Nation –confirming to Whisper that they were indeed wolves-, Lupe eventually led them outside which allowed them to view the full town that looked honestly more like a village than a nation but, man, it looked beautiful. The town still had some conflicts but still beautiful nonetheless.
Silver noticed that this beige wolf was interested and that was not good at this moment.
"Look, I don't know who you are but you can't come with me, I have a mission to complete" he said trying to lift himself up with telekinesis but the moment he did it, his headache returned once again causing him to fall down in both mental and physical pain.
"Whisper" she said reaching out a hand.
"Um… okay, but why?"
The wolf giggled at the hedgehog's naivety. This was like meeting him for the first time all over again that made her question why he didn't recognized her, maybe some time-traveling shenanigans ended up causing him to forget it? Whisper wasn't sure but she wanted to know why.
"Whisper the Wolf," she cleared up with a smile "You look like you may need help during that mission".
Silver hesitated for a second, the mission wasn't that big of a deal but it could easily veer off to a path that made it secret and right now he was talking to a complete stranger and had no right to invite her but at the same time she also seemed to know him pretty well and he was currently vulnerable, Silver didn't know how but he was vulnerable and having some sort of help would help tremendously.
He decided to accept Whisper's hand.
After crash-landing in a complete unknown city and meeting new people that apparently knew him very well along with Cream and Big he was stuck now in a kind of lab with two fellas building a machine, a walrus who introduced himself as Rotor and an old hedgehog with a lighter shade of blue that was called Chuck. Having nothing to do but watch them, Sonic wished he had the chance to have done the race with Tangle.
Speaking of which he remembered that Tangle was brought here too but didn't exactly know if Whisper was here as well, if anything he should be looking for them not walking around in a lab, but the two mechanics told him that it was better to stay here.
And that was pretty much it, nothing to do until a certain someone entered on scene. Sonic… another Sonic, very similar, barely a difference.
"Sup Rotor, Uncle Chuck, sorry for being late I was-" he stopped mid-sentence after spotting the almost identical reflection of himself analyzing him a bit too much before coming to the realization "The device worked?"
"More than expected" added Rotor.
"Um, well, my name is Sonic and I assume that your name is also Sonic".
"You would be right and unless I'm in another dimension or Eggman cloned me somehow you have no right to… be me".
"Heh, you have experience with other dimensions too? Your assumption is correct pal, this is a different dimension and a buddy of mine calls it the Prime Zone… Welcome".
Both Sonics formed a smile ready for a handshake but the second that their hands touched each other a strong and painful shock of electricity passed through their whole bodies causing them to immediately let go leaving their right hands with a burning sensation that slowly faded away.
"What was that?" Chuck asked.
"I not sure- ow," the hand was still hurting "Do you guys know where Tails is?"
"They should be at Freedom HQ but-" Rotor said but was quickly interrupted.
"C'mon Sonic number two, we need to go now".
"Um, Sonic," continued Rotor "Nicole told us that Tails says there are be more than Sonic".
"What? That doesn't sound good; the council wasn't very pleased with the idea".
"It's better if we keep this secret as long as possible so we don't risk rubbing the wrong people off".
"So… that means what?"
"That you two are going to stay here until a time of the day where you're not so easily seen," added Chuck "Until then you'll have to stay quiet and not… touch".
"We can't stay here! You guys saw what happened!"
"If what Tails said is true then staying hidden doesn't sound so bad".
Despite being against the idea, the two Sonics had no choice but to keep waiting for the right moment to leave and seek help, the Council of Acorn could be stupidly stubborn sometimes but this 'zappy' thing they both experienced was strange, a bit urgent but definitely strange.
Yay! The chapter ends here and thanks for all your patience, I wanted to post each chapter after 6 days but homework caught up and duty comes first. Also thanks everyone for the support I'm honestly pumped to keep writing. By the way that last segment with the two Sonic was kinda iffy to write but I hope the dialogue was enough to distinguish who is talking, next time we see any Sonic they'll receive their... "names"
