It's been a while, hasn't it? Well, studies and now retail work has taken some time away but my motivation has never been stronger! The feedback to this story has been amazing, and I know you guys love it so I'm happy whenever I publish a chapter.

DynomiteX246 - I'm glad my story was able to meet your needs, and don't worry I am still working in the "confusing"-side of the story

It was nighttime and the group of Knuckles was approaching its destination in the dark streets of Spagonia, the nightly mood affected their talkative mood but in the end, it was X who broke the silence.

"So… do you also stop Eggman in your world?"

"Yeah, pretty much, seems to be our gizmo, isn't it?"

"Do you know who Mighty is?" asked Ray with curiosity.

"Mighty? Of course, I know him, cool to have him around… and aren't you two a duo?"

"He got kidnapped," said Ray with sorrow surprising Archie.

"Yeah, we're in like a rescue mission," explained X "And with your help… yeah, it may be possible".

That last line was awkward and Archie was going to question it but Knuckles decided to join into the ask-away session they were having.

"The Knuckles in your universe… how is he?" he politely asked.

"Well, don't know how to say it, we see each other occasionally but he's still up there guarding the emerald".

"Still butting heads with him I assume?" added X mockingly.

"Always have, always will" he replied following the mood "And… this should be the place".

It looked like a library but it seemed to be closed at the moment since it was the night after all.

"Do we wait until morning?" asked Ray.

There would be no need for that because as soon as he said it, a loud glass shatter was heard and an entrance was made as Knuckles had just crashed one of the windows, leaving the group in awe but not surprised.

"There," he stated and entered the building with the rest slowly following, hoping no one noticed. After turning on its lamp lights, they all just stared around wondering what to do, reading one by one hoping that what they needed was there. Only one way to find out.

"Bunnie?"

"You are Bunnie… but… from another dimension aren't you?"

She nodded slowly.

"And why are you here?"

"We were brought here, your Tails did, said they required help and… he said… he told us what happened".

"And what happened?" she asked simply being curious, however, as Archie Bunnie was about to answer that question, she remembered something else much more important at the moment.

"Wait," she said back at Beauregard "Where's Antoine? Where's Sonic?" and the mention of Antoine set off the other Bunnie present.

"Ah can assure you that they are being treated no less than how you are right now…" Beauregard replied standing up and heading out for the exit, what he came to do was already done "We will let go all of you so you can continue with your objective".

"Antoine?" said Bunnie "He's here?"

Judging by Beauregard's reaction, he wasn't too happy for her to find out but wasn't going to hide out.

"Not the one you know," he said swiftly "Now, Ms. Bunnie, pls stay here until I return and Bunnie… please follow me".

His differentiation between the two of them really confused for a second but they both decided to do what he said with the two bunnies sharing a last look before parting ways leaving Archie Bunnie alone with a lot of thoughts at the moment although feeling less alarmed at the situation.

On an entirely different story, and back on Freedom HQ, the remaining Sonics and everyone involved in the recent fight had gathered to process better what had happened, Prime was in the lab room while the other three Sonics were in the living room below having Little Sonic explain the situation to the Wachowski Sonic, who was amazed, surprised, marveled, and shocked at the whole story they were telling.

Sonic and Tangle were discussing a little something on their own, which was why he jumped off the plane. That weird gray substance was no stranger to them.

"It's clear that this world-hopping is the reason behind it right?" asked Tangle also alarmed by it.

"Hmph" replied Sonic which was his way of agreeing with what she said.

"Do we tell the other Sonics about it?"

Sonic didn't reply but he looked at Tangle in a worried and unsure state that she was able to understand.

"If this adventure has anything to do with it then the best thing is to leave as soon as we can".

Meanwhile in the lab above, Sonic was discussing the aftermath of the whole situation with Nicole.

"Team Freedom is on their way to check on the fallen Death Star," she explained "And you probably know what The Council of Acorn is thinking".

"Yeah, tell them I'm on my way… What about the king?" he said with curiosity.

"I was tasked with keeping an eye on him but let's just say that his servant has been acting weird… Were you able to spot the final Sonic? He was in his super form".

"I didn't but I don't think he's any good".

There was silence among them for some time but it was Prime who said what they both were thinking.

"Alright, we need to find Tails, and send everyone back to their worlds".

And after a lot of work and effort, the Sky Patrol was ready to fly again and leave the cold climate of the north and the most logical destination was to go south, that's not only the path the Death Egg took but also Tails had decided that it would be safer if they returned 'home' to properly treat everyone before continuing with their mission. At this point, there wasn't a set goal for the team, they wanted to save Mecha Sally, that was the original goal from the start but now it was more evident that more things had occurred.

The morale wasn't low or anything like that but Tails had a feeling that this wasn't going how they expected it to be, maybe it had something to do with what pulled off on the Death Egg where they first brought everyone. Nevertheless, Tails didn't feel right knowing that they were endangering people that didn't quite ask to be brought into this whole mess, the fact that it was his idea in the first place didn't help either.

Talking with his counterparts was fun as well as seeing the differences between them but still.

"How did you make your dog?" asked Boom Tails "I've done impressive things myself of course but… this is different".

"Huh, well, it was a project I've had working in for a long time," he explained "But I finished it when I was taking a vacation".

"Hm… and what other things have you done on a vacation?"

"Um, I defended myself against some birds with… the help of some friends… You guys also deal with Eggman?"

"Oh yeah, totally, almost every day".

"And what do you do against it?"

"Well, we're not always against him".

"Defeating a bigger foe, right?"

"It's mostly like when someone comes uninvited, or just ruining the fun all were having, he has helped me and I've helped me but usually he's just angry-".

"You've helped him? What for?"

"He… was having trouble with some equations".

Now that explanation really surprised Prime Tails, that didn't sound like Eggman at all, so naturally, he was even more curious.

"And he helped you?"

"Yeah he did… I'm not the best when it comes to impressing someone".

It didn't take too long before Prime Tails knew what he was referring to, love was in the air and it was something he could silently understand, but again their Eggman didn't sound too bad.

"That sounds like he's just a lousy neighbor, not a threat to the world," he continued "Hasn't he like tried to destroy you, destroy a village or something like that? Hurt someone?"

"Oh, he's always trying to destroy the village… I think… and he once kept me and Sonic awake for days just so he could get us tired".

"And conquer the world after that?"

"Yep! Luckily, the Sonic Team was more than ready to fight back!"

A mildly annoying guy who lives next door, that would be the best description, it was confusing but understandable, that's how different dimensions work, it just wasn't what he was used to, Eggman was more than someone annoying, the Freedom Fighters were made for a reason and they have suffered in lots of fights, entire towns, constant robotization, and being under threat from him or affiliates.

"I was also surprised that Eggman could do that amount of things" Boom Tails continued, distracting him from his thoughts "It feels new and… weird, you know".

"Different, yeah".

Who knew how many hours they had spent reading books and books of whatever could help Knuckles in his mission, a mission that Archie Sonic was not quite aware of but at this point, he was a bit too tired to continue and so was Ray and so was X, Knuckles knew this, he didn't mind, they could rest if they wanted but he wasn't gonna stop, especially since he had the most experience with the topic, Master Emerald, Warp Rings, and all that was related to it. So currently at the moment, it was only Knuckles 'studying', Ray sleeping, and the two Sonics outside having a friendly chat.

"-So yeah, it was due to a portal as well" explained X after hearing Archie's story "And you didn't come alone right?"

"Everyone in the ship," Archie replied.

"I actually thought I had arrived to my world because I was in another world, that wasn't my own and wasn't this one and it was important we returned because apparently, both worlds would end if we didn't".

This impacted Archie in terms of a surprise because it was exactly what was happening at the moment.

"Have you met other Sonics?" Archie asked, wanting to test something.

"Oh… there's more".

This meant that X was not aware of the situation, so the best way to introduce it to him was a little zap from Archie with the tip of a finger to shake it up.

"Woah! What was that?!"

"That we can't stay here too long, because some weird stuff happens to our bodies if we stay here too long".

A small moment of silence between them as it was a new thing for X to hear and consider, the only thing he knew about this world was Knuckles' problems and some wacky heroes that knew him despite him not knowing them. So the fact that 'this world is also going to die if you stay here too long' also applied here, made the whole situation a bit different.

"Then… does this world has a smart guy to make a portal or..?"

"Hopefully… but what is Knuckles doing?" he said abruptly changing the topic "Is that attitude normal for this world?"

X did a short and quick summary of what exactly they were doing and why in the best way he could and this time it was Archie the one who got surprised by it, unsure what to make about it. Their conversation was cut silent and interrupted after that but not only due to the story but because a warp ring opened with Knuckles coming through it, along with a book in his hand, it looked like he had found something.

"What do you know about Chaos?".

In a different place at another time, the Super Sonic involved in the fight was flying away with no clear direction and was somewhat confused, with multiple Sonics, a city that he had never seen, and pain in his hand. Years of imprisonment only to be met with this after being free… however… he stopped in the middle of the ocean to think about his situation and he couldn't help but laugh at it.

He was angry, he wanted revenge, and at this moment he didn't care who it was, just that it was against Sonic and if there was more than one then even better, questions could come later… So despite returning where he come from sounding like the most fun option, he decided to keep on forward, not with confusion this time but with excitement and a devilish smile on his face.

Ah, Fleetway Super Sonic... everyone knows and loves that guy, anyways, fun chapter to write, can't wait to write more interactions, I love these type of things and I feel I'm getting closer to some favorite scenes.
