These are the most common English terms that the natives would hear from the Americans whether they be military or corporate. To realize its boon, one of the first few things that the USAF did upon establishing itself as new government nearly 2 decades ago was making an improvement to the roads in American Sadera. The USAF understood the importance of roads and transportation when it comes to executing various operations where the troops are being deployed on foot or on vehicle.

More so on extracting the resources and transporting them as much and quickly as possible to the destination where they would be processed and refined before being transported to America. Like their ancestors in early history of America, the USAF and corporate have determined the trains would be effective method of transportation not only for the resources but also for military and civilians in mass. So the Americans have bought forth its dozen bulldozers and construction equipment along with the construction workers and robots to make the existing roads in American Sadera wider and clear of natural obstacles from the America Gate to several important locations as well as laying down the groundwork for railroads.

Even with the construction robots and couple equipment, constructing the railroads from north to south in American Sadera would be tremendous journey. Particularly, the USAF was still needing to bring order and stabilizing its presence and influence among the native population. Because of the need for secrecy, the Americans couldn't just request more civilian workers and construction equipment from America as that would run the risk of unwanted attention and too many questions. Lucky for the USAF and corporate, they do have domestic workers.

Namely, the former slaves. Freed from their owners when the Americans "aggressively convinced" many nobles to stop practicing slavery.

A lot of former slaves who were more than willing to lend their hand in roads improvement and simple parts of building the railroad that'll be dubbed as the American Sadera Railroad just to sound official. It helped that they'll be working for 8 hours a day five times a week and they would get paid!

As opposed to being forced to slave and work all days to death with brutal treatment in form of unjustified beat down and sometime, rape and death as reward for their effort and struggle. Although some local workers have grumbled about their American supervisors' attitude and lack of understanding in regard to their nonhuman aspect, many local workers would rather have the Americans and their "metal golems" over their former owners and overseers who generally have been cruel and sadistic with no regard to the slaves' well-being.

At least, the American soldiers take protection seriously as there were marauders and criminals whose number grown by the former Empire soldiers preying on travelers and caravans on the roads in American Sadera in early years of the USAF ruling.

But there was one big problem for the former slaves and that problem came in form of thousands of recently jobless soldiers who have fought under the Sadera Empire's banner. Back in the history and as far as the people have remembered before the first appearance of Americans, the Empire soldiers have been known to participate and commit horrific crimes against the people (mostly non-humans) viewed as lesser beings in form of pillaging, raping, torturing, and others.

After "re-organization" of the former Empire military to local militia albeit huge reduction in number of active duties with restriction, the USAF have "hired" some of the former Empire soldiers to work on road improvement and railroad construction along with other construction efforts. Along with the former slaves harboring a very..."strong dislike" toward the recently unemployed soldiers.

The corporate project managers should've known better and not to disregard the advice from the Americans who have experience in interacting with the local population and the amicable dwarf-harpy duo who own a construction business.

As a consequence, the road improvement and railroad projects have shaky start when the first reported fight or more accurately, a mini-war broke out between the former slaves and former soldiers. Started out as a racial insult hurled from a disgruntled jobless soldier toward a group of two dwarves and a centaur that have quickly escalated into a mass of workers attacking each other with fists and tools.

Serving as security for the construction on the road, the USAF soldiers had hard time stopping the mini-war until one officer finally showed up and fired his pistol in air. From there, the security received an order to fire warning shots to bring back order. With lesson learned, the project managers and USAF separated the former slaves and former Empire solders from each other to work in their own locations.

In the northern portion of American Sadera, the all American workers utilized their equipment and robots to mechanically construct the railroad tracks in conjunction to constructing the factories. In central portion of American Sadera, the former slaves physically dig and move dirt with shovels. Same thing for the former Empire soldiers working in southern portion of American Sadera but with stricter oversight from the Americans.

In contrast to the former slaves, the former Imperial soldiers have mostly antagonistic attitude toward the Americans. Due to fear and anger of how the Americans fought and killed, many former Empire soldiers do not respect their supervisors whose orders typically came through robotic translators. Another reason was that those soldiers have been forced to lay down their weapons and look for different job, competing against larger number of "job seekers" to include the commoners.

But within three months, the former soldiers would begrudgingly fall on their familiar discipline and work as hard as the former slaves. As dishonorable and cowardly the Americans fought, the Imperial military might failed. It would later turn out that some of these former soldiers have been trained in basic construction.

Regardless of background, the Americans have quickly identified two more problems with the local workers during early stages. Their lack of education in literacy and their inability to do proper math. Both have been deemed unacceptable. The signs written in the Common Language created by American friendly educated natives sadly wouldn't be useful because most workers can't read them in first place. More often, the workers would either fail to count correctly or measure accurately. Both instances required close supervision and corrective actions.

This won't do for the USAF and American civilians, the uneducated labor is detrimental to the American operations and projects.

The decision to train the domestic workers not only in reading the Common writing and doing math but also reading the English signs has paved a way for the USAF to shortly implement the free education system throughout American Sadera for all children. Promoting the American values just happened to be a bonus for the USAF and having skilled and educated domestic workforce will help with the future infrastructure improvement and further land expansion.

Because of the tension between the former slaves and former Empire soldiers along with crash course in reading the signs and doing math and other factors, the "volunteers" who used to work for the railroad company back in America have estimated it'll take three years to complete for the American Sadera to have acceptable railroad network with more to come once additional mines have been mapped.

The projected timeline was off by a year, mainly because they didn't account the humanoids' superior physical aspects and underestimated how fast the local workers learn reading and basic math in addition to road improvement and constructing railroads and train stations. The same can be said about the marauder who quickly learned to get out of the American territory to prowl and carry out their morally-ill activities somewhere else.

An incredible feat for the primitives. And good news for the USAF New World Command and corporate as the Americans have tested their very first locomotive in Falmart to gauged how well the tracks were built from north to south. Unlike the trains back in America, the "localized" locomotive dubbed as the "Roller One" which was actually a five-cars roller coaster that has been modified with its own engine and other parts to function on the American Sadera Railroad in early stage.

Reason for the roller coaster? The USAF and corporate at first decided it would be too complicated to build a train from scratch. So they tried to get one of the old American locomotives or even a mine cart however the other side instead gave them the roller coaster from a theme park in Texas without having a decency to explain why. Forcing the USAF to expand on the first train station (being located very close to the Gate) to include manufacturing aspect and the American engineers having to design and put together new locomotive from scratch anyway.

When the American Sadera Railroad was fully completed within two years from the start, the Roller One got discontinued and replaced by three domestically modified mine carts powered by...manpower. More accurately, powered by the robots and their arms. The USAF Command wouldn't let the engineers use oil-based engine or even the electric generators already in New World and there was an issue with the delivery of electric motor so the engineers ended up improvising. Unfortunately, the three "trains" dubbed as Snake 1 to 3 didn't have enough power to carry the military vehicles and tanks as the USAF Command hoped but at least, the Snakes could carry "bare minimum" weight of resources or troops.

Although the USAF military wasn't impressed in overall with the Snake carts, the natives were in awe as the sight of strange metal oversize caterpillar on several sets of wheels rolling on the tracks. Moving faster than the native horses while carrying a lot of stuffs or Americans! On the side note, the natives' use of caterpillar in description had miffed the American engineers and mechanics.

Much to the USAF's amusement and annoyance, the Snake carts' design was so simple that even few Kingdoms in western Falmart have attempted to create their own primitive version while constructing their own railroad. The locomotives and railroad tracks would be one of the first attempts for any Kingdom to copy as its open-minded thinkers could see the potential benefits. Fortunately even today, no native has yet to figure out on creating successful version of guns and bullets however the American experts believed the stolen weapons may have inspired the repeating crossbows with primitive chamber and magazine holding a number of bolts.

Impressive.

It was another reminder for the Americans not to underestimate the natives' ability to learn, improvise, and adapt. One Kingdom has been observed training its wyvern corps to function as primitive bombers, though the USAF is confident that its anti-air guns will still be sufficient to deal with the wyvern bombers considering they're incapable of flying at great height where there would be less oxygen.

Fast-forwarding several years later, the New World Command received its first batch of fusion generators from America and the officer in charge of military transportation in the New World has bright idea to order the engineers in re-designing the Snake locomotives or outright replacing them with new models that would be fusion powered. A year later, the train engineers have managed to create five functional fusion-powered trains capable of transporting even larger amount of weight in resources or military including tanks.

Larger and more intimidating than the early Snakes, the dubbed Hydra trains are heavily armored and armed to teeth to dissuade any foolish idea of attacking by ground or from air. However because of heavier weight, they are slower than the old Snakes. Acceptable trade-off as far as the Command was concerned since they've received the first batch of vertibirds that could transport troops quickly to their destination as necessary. If desperate, the Command will just order soldiers to drive jeep or ride on horses but they must leave heavy weapons and later, power armors behind.

Outside transportation and since then, the USAF has been busy with other construction projects and mapping Falmart continent. In addition, the USAF today has estimated 60 million people in America Sadera to govern and influence with barely 7,500 active duty personnel (with 80% from US Army), 52,000 robots with 40,000 of them manufactured in New World factories, and 2,500 federal-non federal civilians that have been accumulated for nearly two decades in painstaking effort to minimize any trail to the New World Gate while delivering manpower, workforce, and equipment as well as necessary technology to build a secret infrastructure for America along with secret projects into the New World.

Additionally, the New World Command also has almost 55,000 local militia support plus 10,000 if counting the "support animals" consisting of mostly dogs and horses with few dozen...special creatures that are still being studied by the Americans. Another thing to note is that about 380 children have been verified to be born with a native parent and American parent, though the actual number may be higher, bringing up some legal questions about their citizenship. But not important at that time as the American medical personnel were more interested in the fact that some of said "American" children were born as hybrids.

Genuine hybrids! As in half human and half non-human! And a small percentage of the "American" hybrids have just recently enlisted in USAF and already showcasing their almost superhuman feats in boot camp training! Were they born in America, they would be viewed as medical marvel and abomination at the same time.

Moving on.

Technically speaking, the New World factories actually manufactured more than 40,000 robots however those uncounted robots were simply stored in reserve here in the New World and meant to be deployed to America in event of…undesirable events.

Such as China or any other non-American power discovering the Gate's existence.

Because it could take one bit of paper trail or a spy from rival nation to bring ruin to America's effort of keeping its treasure hidden from the rest of the world including China and Soviet Union. It would be akin to unraveling the curtain of misdirection and deception to reveal the world's actual last meal reserved for only one nation in front of every single starving nation who would all gang up on that one nation.

America and only America.

So the USAF leadership developed few contingencies in place for unlikely event of enemies such as China or Soviet Union discovering and somehow travel to the New World through a different Gate or through some secret advance alien space-time manipulating machine capable of ripping dimension barrier. In such unlikely event, the USAF New World is to spare no expense in executing the code-name "Weed Killer" immediately. No matter how small the unwanted visitor presence, the USAF is to push them out and counter-invade. There will be no need for communication as that would be a waste of time.

Once the USAF New World establish the base on the other side of other Gate, there will be a signal to Washington D.C to mobilize the rest of the military to wage multi-prongs campaign. Unknown to America and majority of its military, the same signal will also tell a certain elusive organization to execute its ultimate plan and get ready.

And then...as far as everybody can see, the world's doomday clock will finally start the countdown for the inevitable all-out nuclear exchange that'll kill off 7.5 to 9 billion human beings and only the selected people all sharing the same exclusive membership will survive by going to the New World or different locations in America for safety and to wait. Those going to the New World, things will change for the Americans already trapped there. Once Earth become irradiated wasteland and all surviving undesirable humans die off, it'll be ripe for rebuilding in their own image.

Their America, their Earth, and their beyond. The American supremacy will be...immortalized.

That is if the second Gate show up on their Earth. If the second Gate lead to some alien world instead of Earth, it is to be located and destroyed with "damn the consequence" mindset per code-name "Insect Killer". The mage prisoners have assured destroying the Gate will not result in multiple world destruction.

Unfortunately, there's just one little variable that didn't get accounted and completely changed the USAF's assumption about the Gate. Ever since the victory and assuming control of massive stretch of land, the USAF leadership and scientists have been very curious about the Gate connecting America to the New World. They have sent their agents to scour every bit of information and Falmartian historic records of the Gate opening from visiting various libraries to "questioning" the captured mages while trying to study magic and if possible, apply it in technological sense.

The scientists from Big MT and such have been both amazed and frustrated with the Gate and how it work. As far as they've been studying, the Gate is just a tunnel through space-time barrier and has been believed to be responsible for several freak "natural" disasters that have occurred back on Earth and both inside and outside of America ever since the Gate's appearance in New Mexico. Compared to majority of Americans who largely depend words of mouth for news, the Command have been keeping up with the latest events back in America and the world.

A massive earthquake in 2079 that destroyed Hopeville and Ashton as they and the surrounding land became irradiated hellhole and later, got quarantined to keep the American public away? It must be the Gate.

A freakishly large typhoon in early 2074 that has swept through the Philippines and disappearing somewhere in between China and India, leaving a long evidence of destruction and corpses resulting barely any Chinese presence in the Philippines? It must be the Gate.

A tsunami of unprecedented size flooding northern Japan and southern part of Korea in 2075, leaving a mass of floating corpses and crippling civil problem behind? It must the Gate.

Unusually wide spread and violent thunderstorms lasting nearly two weeks non-stop and destroying few European coastal towns and even a city in 2080? It must be the Gate.

An unprecedentedly titanic sandstorm blowing from the Middle East southwest onto Africa along with bizarre reporting of "a horde of some green glowing humanoid creatures descending and attacking" Egypt and Sudan under pitch black sky? Sound unbelievable but it must be the Gate.

An unidentified hulking creature prowling somewhere in West Virginia wilderness? It must be…Never mind. One scientist couldn't find any correlation between the unknown creature and the Gate.

All those unusual natural disasters that have occurred also have unpredictable effects on many things in aftermath. One of those things was an increase of political instability and unrest on global scale. More and more people have started to riot against both domestic and foreign powers. And most of the riots have been violent as more and more of fear turned into anger.

A rising Canadian movement "Red Moose" bombing the US military vehicles and US occupied buildings in Toronto, Canada. Reinvigorating the anti-American rebellion to fight for Canada's liberation from their south neighbor.

The resurgent Mexican rebellion and this time, many Mexicans took arms and concentrated on kicking the American occupation force out of Mexico.

As if sensing an opportunity and bitter at the Americans, Brazil and few other South American countries sent their agents and available supplies north to Mexico and encourage more troubles. The infamous Mexican leader who led armed revolt against the corrupted government and Cartels years ago has been reportedly instigating the armed conflict against American occupiers. Using the weapons provided from South America.

If that wasn't enough for America to deal with, the US government found itself in constant alarmed state when several organizations such as the Free States and Freedom Militia becoming brazen with their recruitment and treasonous activities such as promoting secession. Adding greater stress on the law enforcement, National Guards, other military branches, and intelligence agency all already dealing with unhappy citizens, spies, traitors, and desserters.

The remaining European governments found themselves spending more time in suppressing the riots as they were forced to recall some of their military away from the battlefield to aid the overworked law enforcement. In some places, even the law enforcement have opted to quit and join the riots!The robots could only do so much when they're surrounded by the rioters. No matter how hard the European governments tried in getting their respective population under control, the people were simply too angry to listen and have been running amok.

The multiple wars in Europe have not been kind to the people and the land. All it took was few unnatural storms and other disasters to break the figurative dam. Catching the European military at worst time due to already being exhausted from fighting conflicts and stalemates that lasted far too long. The present Europe has been best described as completely unrecognizable.

Out of all, the events that have took place in Asia have been completely surprising and nearly caught America off guard. When the leadership in New World received the updates from the other side, disbelief was the common reaction.

Somehow, India has managed to withstand against China in war that some US military experts projected the war will last three months to two years top, given China's and India's military strength at the beginning of war. The estimates have practically been toss into a garbage can that then get lit on fire. In year 2075, China was still waging war against India while dealing with sudden spike of attacks on the Chinese occupational forces in the annexed countries such as Japan, Thailand, and the Philippines. Though China has already decided to leave the Philippines and few countries without re-establishing its presence after the unnaturally devastating typhoon in 2074.

Leading to another complete surprise also took in the same year. The Soviet Union has declared war on China after building its military at the border shared with fellow communist country. Throwing its lot with India and the number of anti-Chinese revolts. Supposedly, the Soviet Union got busted in lending secret aid to India in war against China who has been annexing the neighboring countries for resources. Currently, the war has been stagnating as China, Soviet Union, and India too have their own riot problem.

Seem America wasn't invited due to the Soviet Union officials blaming it for "enabling" China's annexation campaign by selling Alaskan oil. Never has in its entire existence, America has ever thought the Soviet Union would actually declare a war on its fellow communist nation though it nearly happen in 1970s. The USAF New World leadership thought it was a joke but the messengers have assured them that it along with every other significant events haven't been a joke.

The truth is...they have been real.

Unknown to the world, the Gate sitting in New Mexico, US made things worse.

Democracy…

Communism…

Dictatorship...

It didn't matter as there's not a single government safe from the strife and chaos. Violent riots, armed conflicts, and brutal responses became the new norms as of the current year 2085. The people know they're going to die either by senseless conflicts or starvation, they could no longer escape from their harsh reality.

Some of the military around the world have started to desert. Either tired of fighting, targeted by countrymen, or other reasons.

The businesses, if any, have started dying. Only America and unfortunately, China and Soviet Union on lesser scale fare better thanks to the fusion core technology. Damn the greed and traitors.

The world has gone insane and completely off the course.

What's crazy in the USAF leadership's mind is that America and China have yet to wage war at each other! Thanks God the majority of Americans in New World have been largely lagging behind the news by years and the Command have been ensuring to restrict and control the information. Otherwise, the affair would be needlessly difficult and less stable.

But it wasn't just Earth experiencing the freakish natural disasters and unpredictable consequences, the New World too has its troubles by the natural disaster for the past 20 years.

Earthquakes? Check and apparently, the "natural" earthquakes are new things for the natives in America Sadera and outside. Good thing the USAF has sacked Rondel long time ago as who know how much destruction a group of mages could deal. However, there was a recent earthquake not far in eastern Falmart as reported on the radio along with man-made forest fires.

Hurricanes? Check and fortunately, American Sadera's southern region only took minor loss. Though can't say same thing for the neighboring Kingdom.

Severe hail? Check, took place at the mountain range in northeastern Falmart outside American Sadera.

Flood? Check. After the hail ended and 2 months later into beginning of spring, the figurative timed bomb went off in form of flood coming down, destroying several native settlements and many natives got drowned to death.

Hell, how about that torrential rainstorm six years ago? Check, almost a third of crop fields in American Sadera got ruined.

The American agents have even questioned the historians and story tellers about the Gate. Although few claimed more than one Gate have been opened at the same time, they couldn't provide sufficient proof to back their claim so they were treated with scrutiny but possible. And as usual, the idea of Gate being opened by one of the native "gods" named Hardy went ignored. As far as the Americans are concerned and considering how the natives lived, the so called "gods" may have been some "super magical alien mutants" long time ago.

But the American agents could see there has been multiple instances of Gate appearance throughout Falmartian history which explain the dozen sentient species.

While the USAF did entertain the possibility of another Gate showing up anywhere on Earth and forming another "link" to the New World with how Big MT scientists talked, the Command did not consider the possibility of the second Gate connecting their New World and different-

Slap!

An American general named Will Brady-Jameson has just slapped his hand on the report against the desk, covering majority of information after listening to hours of reports. Dressed in USAF uniform reserved for the highest rank in the USAF New World Command, General Brady-Jameson slowly took off his eyeglasses with his hand showing sign of wrinkles before speaking calmly with hidden fury boiling.

"Those with the rank below Major are dismissed and are to return to their duties immediately. Major and above are to stay."

The people nervously look at each other before exiting with few casting pitying look at the high ranking officers. They didn't need to have a doctorate degree in human psychology to know the general is in foul mood by judging how dark his blue eyes look. One swore she saw few strands of blond hair sticking up as if readying to unleash furious lightning.

One by one, the lower ranking officers departed with the last one closing the metallic door shut with a thudding sound followed by locking mechanism being engaged. Leaving the general alone with six officers who all wore either anxious or stoic look.

After waiting for exactly five seconds upon the last lock on the door engaging, the blond hair general exploded as his hand snatched up the report out of folder. Holding and furiously shaking it in air.

"THE HELL IS THIS? YOU MEAN TO TELL ME IT IS CONFIRMED THAT NOT ONLY WE'RE DEALING WITH GODDAMN AUSSIES AND GOOKS, WE'RE ALSO DEALING WITH GODDAMN AMERICA ITSELF!"

Thud!

"But General, it's a different America, not our America-!" One of the officers began in high pace voice but the general snapped at him with his head shaking menacingly as he hit the table.

Thud!

"I KNOW IT'S A DIFFERENT FUCKING AMERICA! I'M NOT DEAF, IMBECILE! I HAVE BEEN FUCKING LISTENING FOR THESE PAST FUCKING HOURS WE'VE BEEN IN THIS GODDAMN ROOM! LOOKING AT ALL THOSE DAMN PHOTOS!"

The General clenched both hands into fists.

"UNBELIEVABLE! THIS IS UN-FUCKING-BELIEVABLE!" General Brady-Jameson violently shook his head that some of the lower ranking officers wore worried look that his head could pop off like a rocket toy follow by a geyser of blood.

"AND YOU KNOW WHAT'S WORSE THAN JUST A FUCKING DIFFERENT AMERICA? A FUCKING DIFFERENT AMERICA AND A FUCKING DIFFERENT CHINA! BUT NOT OUR CHINA BUT A FUCKING!" The general began to bang his fist against the table, causing several items such as pencils and cups to shake as he ranted like a madman.

Thud!

"DIFFERENT!"

Thud!

"GOD-!"

Thud!

"-DAMN!"

Thud!

"CHINAAA!"

Few officers have flinched from each time the general's menacing fist hit the table or when his mean eyes laid on them as the general look around like a predator. Possibly looking for someone's face suitable for punching and venting his rage.

"ONE CHINA IS BAD ENOUGH, BUT ANOTHER FUCKING CHINA? THAT IS AKIN TO SHITS THAT COULD RAIN ON US AT ANY FUCKING TIME!" The general roared with veins pulsing on his neck. His skin became reddish with anger and stress.

Since the room is soundproof, General Brady-Jameson didn't have to worry about maintaining his professional composure and how could he?

Being in charge of whole USAF operation in New World for nearly a decade (after replacing the predecessor) and one lowly ranking personnel has been reading off the report that after few weeks of trekking through the eastern Falmart wilderness and cleaning up the hostile elements to find where the UFOs coming from, the East force consisting of Alpha, Bravo, AND Charlie forces have been fighting the unexpected invaders from the other Gate and have been forced into a stalemate can ruin the general's day.

Mainly because of three main factors that have been identified as detrimental to the USAF East force's capability and progress.

According to the reports in overall, the first factor was the terrain and East force didn't have sufficient vehicular support that would enable the soldiers to pursuit the enemy vehicles effectively. The said enemy vehicles have been reportedly to resemble the USAF jeeps but wider, more armored, high-tech, and fast. The enemies referred the vehicles as "Hum-vees".

It has been described as purely dumb luck that the East force was able to capture the first batch of prisoners due to them already got ambushed by the natives and green mutants. The later batch of prisoners in less number was due to either the thin undeveloped road with natural obstacles (trees, ditches, and slopes) limiting the space for the enemy vehicles to turn or the enemies were out of their vehicles to investigate or for bathroom break.

Additionally, it has been known that the natives in eastern Falmart have been littering the roads with traps. What kinds of traps depend on the natives' allegiance such as the stubborn Remnant or angry natives with rather medieval name being the Scarred Band or something as well as whether a mage or more was involved. Even before deploying the East force, the American operatives have been detailing their finding of native traps that were meant to cause inconvenience to the USAF vehicles or currently, the unwanted visitors from different Earth.

It was worth noting that both personnel and robots have felt a weak earthquake in their position. One eyebot has reported seeing landslide somewhere on the mountain range located far east from the East forces' current position. The direction where the enemies believed to be coming from.

However what's not acceptable to General Brady-Jameson was the minimal presence of jeeps and APCs that were supposed to be with the East forces. Because of terrain and obstacles, only four APCs and seven jeeps were present. What happened to the other six APCs and seven jeeps?

One APC and two jeeps became inoperable from the muties. 3 APCs got stuck in the ditches created by mages, 2 jeeps got crushed by a heavy creature, and the rest just couldn't move forward because of the trees and other things blocking the roads. With a whole lot of trees and slopes, there wasn't much room to go through or turn around so they had to travel backward and take different road.

The second factor was the insufficient anti-air weapon against the enemy helicopters. The same type of aircraft that has been permanently grounded back in America. But unlike the USAF helicopters, the enemy helicopters have vastly different design with heavy arsenal and unexpected protection against ballistic firepower.

The current missile launchers used by the East forces performed poorly and it didn't help that they were of outdated model. While devastating, the Assaultrons' head laser couldn't remain as a primary method of anti-air because of programming inside the system where the Assaultrons not utilizing its head to destroy the enemy helicopters by causing the target to instantly become hotter than the sun and were more focusing on the enemy humvees, despite receiving an order to attack the air. The Assaultrons ended up being responsible for multiple forest fires that strangely helped and impeded the East forces and enemies.

Furthermore, the enemies have learned to destroy the Assaultrons as quickly as possible from long distance by firing the missiles while constantly flying around before retreating. Raising a question about the enemy air. If the East forces struggled against the unexpectedly advanced helicopters and vehicles then what would the enemy fighters like? Surely, the enemy must have fighter jets and who know how long the second Gate has been open.

"Fuck!" General Brady-Jameson mentally seethed.

The USAF New World Command do have its air force consisting of 12 bombers with 4 currently active, 8 "modified civilian" aircraft for surveying and scouting, and 28 vertibirds with half of them active for delivery runs and extraction. Unfortunately, the Command used to have 14 fighter planes to deal with dangerous flying creatures but that was long time ago and only 4 was used against two actual dragons in the former Elbe land.

Since then and because not all 14 fighter planes are same model but multiple models with most being officially retired and simply "donated" from multiple military bases in America, they've been stored with minimal maintenance and have not been flown…Once. Unless there's more dragons dwelling somewhere or yet-to-be-detected flying creatures.

Knowing how old the current fighter planes, the Command will need to get in touch with the other side and request for up-to-date fighters. Preferably fighter jets. With the chaos and strife going on the other side, the general worried the delivery if the "mutual acquaintance" decided may not arrive in time.

And then there's third factor...confusion caused by radios and enemy "Americans". The East forces reported a series of confusion and disbelief among the troops upon making confirmed contact with the enemy "Americans" bearing familiar 50 stars flag on their fatigues. Ever since the beginning of commonwealth system, America has been slowly replacing the 50 stars flags with 14 stars flags represented by 13 Commonwealths and America as a nation. So seeing the "Americans" operating in the New World was completely unexpected encounter for the American soldiers.

Even the robots reportedly have brief but noticeable hesitation upon seeing the enemy "Americans". Only to start attacking upon being fired or seeing how the "Americans" dressed.

One of the initial contacts between two different American groups occurred in unusual manner when one squad of fatigued Alpha East scouts and unknown scouts bearing the 50 stars American flag came across of each other. While pointing their respective guns at each other, Americans and "Americans" have yelled and hollered, demanding identification and giving orders or commands such as disarm before having an actual nonsensical argument in unprofessional manner. Astoundingly, the argument lasted 10-15 minutes before a gunfight broke out.

Reason? Few Gutsies showed up to regroup and paused before opening fire at the "Americans" with one was heard yelling "Despicable scums! Impersonating as US military is punishable by death!"

Radios made the confusion even worse because the Americans have been so used to being the only ones with radio technology for two decades that some forgot to verify who's speaking from the other end. There has been two separate bizarre instances occurring when Bravo East Seven's and Charlie East Two's squad leader mistakenly believed the English speaker over somewhat shaky connection was American requesting them to take flanking action by "Go on the road and then come around from the right side of nearby mountain" for Bravo East Seven and while Charlie East Two heard something about "splitting up to search for the enemy location".

Neglecting to verify or even thinking how the request make no sense because of their current location, both leaders have their squad did as requested on the radio.

Bravo East Seven squad's two of three T-60 Power Armors were taking lead and about to cross the dirt road when a quoted "fatass jeep" showed up, driving uphill at quoted "stupidly high speed". Both armored infantry personnel got "caught" with one latching on the vehicle's front while other was slowly being run over. That same power armor would then get run over by the second vehicle and its fusion core blew up. Because the squad also have personnel carrying a pack with flamer and got caught in blast so there was another explosion.

It has been noted that the flamer personnel became 2nd cause of forest fires after the Assaultrons' faulty programming. Interestingly, not a single Mr. Gutsy has caused forest fire despite being held by small engine pointing flame downward.

As for Charlie East Two...The squad foolishly split up in pair of two. One of those pairs has later unknowingly aided two "American" squads in neutralizing the muties while the other Charlie East Two pairs have been radioed. However while one squad members have "American flag", the second squad members don't and instead sported "South Korean" flag. Furthermore, the unknown soldiers have camouflage fatigues, instead of standard all green fatigues.

While the gunfight didn't immediately break out as the unknown "Americans" opted to communicate, the other pairs have regrouped before showing up. Flanking around two Americans and the unknown squads before opening fire in attempt to "save" their two comrades. However, the two USAF soldiers have "requested" their squad and the remaining unknown squads to stop shooting. From there, the surviving visitors got taken as prisoners.

The Command leadership has already ordered the change of radio frequency and to give harsh reminder to all USAF personnel to follow the radio protocols. The communication personnel at the Command have been making updates to the communication system.

"We have been doing good." General Brady-Jameson thought angrily, "Maybe too good. The operation has been nothing but fucked!" If Hardy was actually responsible for the Gate and opening the second one, the General would've chewed her out for being a bitch.

And then there are prisoners to consider…Some have been delivered to American Sadera with others still in eastern Falmart.

While the USAF East forces have managed to captured few dozen prisoners from different Earth, so did the visitors from different Earth. Much to the general's rage, one squad got captured by "American-Chinese" joint squads due to being "outgunned and outmaneuvered" as stated in the report.

Being a hot-blood American patriot, the general felt ill hearing about "Americans" and "Chinese" squads collaborating.

Because of the three factors along with the unauthorized communication and prisoners, the stalemate was forced after little over five weeks of fighting each other in the forest and mountainous terrain. Forcing their respective leaders to talk with greater reluctance on the USAF's part on prisoners exchange and other matters. Bringing a temporary pause to the clash in eastern Falmart.

Different Earth…

The USAF have not expected to fight people from different Earth and according to the analysis of the captured gear and interrogation detail, their Earth is set in year 2014! That detail have baffled the Command and scientists, more so on three particular little gadgets that the prisoners called the "smartphones". Which they weren't supposed to take on mission but did anyway. A detail that didn't matter to the USAF.

That is...impossible and not right. How can the unwanted visitors' Earth be in 2014 and have extremely advanced device that is a combination of portable phone, camera, AND computer in such a small and thin shape? One smartphone stated to have 64 gigabytes while other two have 32 gigabytes.

What the USAF and scientists have been looking at for the past weeks is far superior to Vault-Tec's Pip-Boys and other companies' personal/portable computer products! General Brady-Jameson and other officers have even seen it during the briefing when one personnel brought it in to give a short demonstration and stated the smartphones are supposedly capable of connecting to some kind of global network thing called the "Internet" but couldn't prove it because America Sadera is too far away from the different Earth's Gate and the satellites. That small bit has caused concern to the USAF leadership.

And then...There's a thing called photo gallery. Granting unexpectedly large amount of information in rather vibrant COLORS for everyone see on tiny screen with some photos being useful and others being...not useful due to nonsensical pictures with no context or too suggestive. One officer has remarked that a picture worth 100 or 1000 words and he was right.

It was as if they're looking through a very small window of different world that is supposedly Earth set in 2014. To some like General Brady-Jameson, it felt and look...WRONG.

The United States of America there...look alien. The people in picture look alien. The architecture look alien. Even the other countries look alien. Everything look alien!

So to summarize this whole disaster along with the events at home, the plan has been delayed for too long and the American victory is in danger.

"General?" A stoic male voice bought the General back to present, "Are we meeting...them next week for face to face...discussion?" The man wasn't sure how to refer the visitors from different Earth but went with a pronoun.

"Must've been thinking deeply." General Brady-Jameson thought as he has calmed down before answering harshly, "Yes. However...Make no mistake...They need to get out."

From American to..."Americans", the USAF will request them and their...allies to depart. If not, then the USAF will need to use the bigger gun to resume and execute the Weed Killer. The operation did stated to spare no expense and it has been a while since its last use.

So what some civilians got kidnapped and have yet to be found? So what they're doing rescue effort. It doesn't matter what their purpose of coming here,THEY are not welcome in the New World. It doesn't belong to them!

This world belongs to this America and only this America.

"Then we're still carrying out the Weed Killer?"

"No." General Brady-Jameson shook his head before correcting the officer, "We're doing the Insect Killer. We will be destroying the Gate."

At the general's response and unnoticed, few officers glanced at each other as one protested, "But General! The technology we've been-"

"Any of their technology remaining can be taken for study but the Gate will be destroyed." The general's voice held firm, "By God, it will be."

Again, few officers have glanced at each other as if having a silent conversation. But this time, General Brady-Jameson noticed it when he look to his right and harshly asked the officers, "Do you have objection, gentlemen?"

Looking at the General's eyes holding a dark promise, there's no room for objection. Because now, it is time to plan and bring out the bigger gun.

Few days later...Eeastern Falmart…Not far from the recently no-man land…

The soldiers are restless, Sgt Nate Thompson could see. The enemies they've been fighting have bought a myriad of issues and conflicting feelings among the East forces.

Including himself and his squad.

After securing their first captures from Australia-South Korea-Japan, the Alpha-Bravo squads have regroup with the rest of Alpha-Bravo East force who has already started fighting against the enemies.

From different Earth.

Different.

Damn.

Earth.

Nate doesn't know what to think. He has never thought he would be fighting and shooting the "Americans" who bear the 50 stars flag emblem on their shoulders and were clearly heard yelling in recognizable American accents. Nobody in the East forces including the Charlie East did!

Never mind Australia, South Korea, Japan, and even China all from that different Earth.

It was hard to ignore many things about...them. Ranging from their camouflage fatigue to sighting of multiple nationalities in same area.

Their weapons look unfamiliar.

Their jeeps-humvee-whatever and helicopters look unfamiliar.

Their tactics look unfamiliar.

Everything about them is unfamiliar. And yet, there's no denying it.

Fucking different Earth.

It was a blatant cold wake-up call for the USAF military in the New World. Sgt Thompson and others have been fighting against the hostile natives and wildlife for long time. Even if the natives possessed guns, their competency was lackluster. The USAF has been the dominating presence in Falmart.

Out of nowhere, a new force showed up and challenged the USAF.

Military vs military.

Guns vs guns.

Bullets and lasers exchanged with enemy bullets as both sides fought a number of battles in the wilderness.

Ambushing the enemy vehicles that someone referred them as "fatass jeeps" in the middle of forest. Exchanging fire and re-positioning on the slopes, around the trees, and cliffs. Even at the river whose water dirtied by the corpses and blood. Dirtied by scrapped parts.

The Gutsies rushing, firing their laser weaponry and upon getting close enough, hacking the enemy soldiers with buzzsaw or burning with their internal flamer.

The eyebots constantly scouting, relaying information in form of signals about the enemy positions. Regreatably, most of the eyebots got destroyed while scouting and harassing the enemies.

The Assaultrons...The fucking Assaultrons have been relentless and focusing on the enemy vehicles and infantry. Running, jumping, hacking, maiming, and firing their multiple gigawatts violent red laser.

The land has been scarred. Many trees got destroyed in process or burning. The rocks were left molten. And the flesh burned with some turned into ashes.

The jeeps driving on the road as the gunners fired their rifle before getting destroyed. Rather easily compared to downing the damn enemy vehicles. The few APCs barely contribute anything as soon as their 105 mm main gun or secondary 76mm guns fired, they got blown apart by the helicopters.

Fuck, where were the other vehicles? There was supposed to be more.

The armored personnel in T-60 Power Armor led the regular infantry soldiers, using the trees as extra cover while flanking as the Gutsies and Assaultrons drew enemy fire. The power armor's protection did its job as the bullets fired from enemy rifles hit and dealt minimal damage. It took greater caliber from the machine on humvee or helicopter to get through the power armor and either gravely injure or kill the wearer.

Or sudden heavy weight ramming at high speed into the power armor. Sgt Thompson and others have heard about the explosions set off by power armor's fusion core.

Explosions...There was a lot of explosions. Not just grenades and flamer tank but also the missiles fired from the enemy helicopters. Constantly moving and flanking as they rained hell upon the USAF force and its robots. More so on the Assaultrons.

Their feminine body would get shredded apart by the high caliber projectiles or blown apart. Sometime, their internal bomb would set off.

Fucking RobCo, he has something to say and wish he's back in America and give his honest opinion to whoever running RobCo! Nate had a close with one Assaultron whose bomb blasted him away before dragged by Corporal Henry Boyd to retreat with surviving Americans after losing the remaining Assaultrons. Leaving the Gutsies to draw the enemy fire.

The enemies from different Earth have truly been…competent. Just competent and dangerous.

Also damning.

Those "Americans" may be from different Earth but they're still Americans. As far as Nate know, there's no law stating one has to be born in specific world's America to be American. Not that the damn blood sucking lawmakers have any reason to address some dimension bullshit.

In some ways, being in the New World is better than being in America. As much as he miss his parents and brother, Nate didn't have to worry about shooting fellow Americans down. But now...Americans going against..."Americans and their buddies".

Clashing and killing each other.

What the fuck and fuck Hardy.

No, not that wisecrack Spc Hardy on his squad. Hardy as in some primitive bitch entity something. Hell, she could've been some powerful witch living long time ago for all he know, considering the USAF official stance on Falmart religion and "gods".

But...There was no choice but to fight. The forces from different Earth should have not shot and laid their hands on the eyebots or fired the first shot at the USAF.

The Australia-Korea-Japan squad had killed three scouts from Alpha East Three prior to fighting the natives and muties. By the time Bravo East Five was on its way, the enemies were still attempting to wipe out the remaining scouts. It was good thing that Sgt Park's squad got to them in time to reinforce.

The different Earth was probably no different from their Earth, go fucking figure. Nice to know human's enemy is still another human, even in different world.

But then after being forced into stalemate with no progress of getting through the killzone without being blown apart by the helicopters or sniped, the order from the Command came on radio.

Just when the bombers, after refueling and emergency maintenance, were about to reach to the sky over eastern Falmart…The East force has received an order to stand down and guard. No one is to undertake any further attempt toward the enemies' general location where their base is suspected to be at. Either close to the mountain range or on one of the mountains.

The commander sounded sour when announcing that there will be a meeting between the both sides' leaders. Probably about the prisoners and shits since Sgt Thompson heard about fellow Americans getting captured as prisoners.

Stand down and guard their current position.

That's what Sgt Thompson and everybody else have been doing for few days now. With the meeting between the leaders, the enemies have also kept their distance. No helicopters could be seen, flying in air or vehicles roaming around.

Essentially, there's no-man land between the USAF and the force from different Earth. Reminding Nate of the old DMZ between North and South Korea he has read when he was a teenager.

No, that doesn't sound accurate in Nate's mind.

No-man land between the Allied Powers and Central Powers in Europe? No, that's not accurate either because the different Earth force has been rather...mobile. Even their squads have been constantly moving and changing their position with varying levels of aggression with the "Americans" and "Chinese" matching the USAF's aggressiveness while the "Japanese" was least aggressive…

Japanese.

They've been mostly absent from the armed engagement. Make sense since they're Self-Defense Force, not regular military. The early Japanese prisoners have identified themselves as such when Sgt Park demanded answers.

It was strange to see Australian, Japanese, and SOUTH Koreans here in New World. Seem like a joke someone would make at the bar after drinking 7 shots of whiskey.

As unfamiliar as they are, Nate has one sure thing to say about the different Earth.

They have nice weapons and shits. Much nicer than what the USAF have. Especially that shitty assault rifle that look like a goddamn trash when doing comparison.

Now if only someone can shut the hell up about some damn muties speaking-

Hold it!

Sgt Thompson has paused cleaning his light machine gun to listen to the hushed conversation between nearby soldiers with two expressing doubt as one sound exasperated. Claiming to be truthful.

"I'm serious! My buddy said he and his squad encountered two muties yelling at them!"

"Uh huh, yelling."

"Yeah man! Yelling in fucking Asian language!"

"Get the hell out, Asian language?"

"Last week!" Jeff added as if that make any sense.

"Tch, what you saying, Jeff? The fuckwads from other world have been here long enough to teach fucking muties how to speak Chinese and muties actually have fucking brain to learn?"

"Or drank some bad water-"

"No no no, Gary said they sound Japs! But in mutie voice! You know like this-" A soldier named Jeff attempted to demonstrate...presumably a Japanese language in mutie voice. And failing it in process.

"Jeff, that's not convincing." One soldier commented when Jeff fell into coughing.

"Yeah? Well fuck you! I'll just ask Sergeant Park, he must know with him being half Asian!"

"You know he's half Korean, right?"

"Fucking what?" Nate thought before glancing to his left to see his squad mates pretending not to be listening. They too expressed their disbelief.

Two random muties encountered in the wilderness, yelling in Japanese?

Unlikely.

A/N: Here's a little bit of detail on what kind of changes the USAF and corporate have introduced to Falmart as part of building necessary infrastructure and extracting resources.

In regard to Assaultron head laser, I spent far too long researching lasers and stuffs such as range and power before my eyes and brain got tired. Here's some short thing about lasers in simple terms. Lasers don't have temperature. Lasers just exponentially increase the object's temperature on atom level. If you feel a heat, then you're either standing close to the source that's shooting laser or you're standing close to an object that's being burned by laser.

Obviously, lasers travel as fast as light and have no mass. I'm not talking about some Star Wars "laser" weapons, those ain't no laser. Here's my thought process on laser rifle/pistol and my attempt to make it realistic. If you're facing an enemy armed with functional laser gun and already firing at you but miss. It's not because you manage to dodge but one of two things: 1) The enemy's weapon need to be fixed/re-aligned or 2) The enemy didn't aim properly, possibly need eyecheck or system correction or something. What, you thought you're Flash or Son Goku? Hell no, you're human. A normal human with human reaction speed.

There aren't many real life example of laser weapon beside some countries like US and others testing laser and stuffs. Just for heck of it, I look at Halo (own by Microsoft)'s Spartan Laser, and other franchises that have laser weapons and read lore on how much damage they can do.

This is obvious but I'm going to say it. I'm no scientist so being simple-minded individual I am and because Fallout wiki didn't specify what kind of enemy the Assaultrons were designed to destroy, I'm going to"blindly" take one part about Assaultron's core/battery/whatever having enough power to burn"hotter than sun" as "fact". So I'm going to say Assaulton's big "Fuck You" laser make objects (or humans) burn because of sun. Figuring how to convert multiple gigawatts (refer to Polly in Fallout 76, it's one of early quests) to joule or whatever measurement unit for firepower for laser is too much for my brain.

So for any of you scientists or future scientists reading this: my bad and I ain't doing real science because this is still sci-fi though I'm fruitlessly trying to make this story as realistic as possible without doing some curbstomp. All while disregarding video game aspect such as Pipboy magically popping out a Fat Man and 999 mini-nukes (where's our character carrying inventory? In ass? In hammer space? Or Mary Poppin/Pokemon backpack?) and "normal" human Gunner tanking 200+ headshots from .50 caliber bullets fired from a sniper rifle. Or even an Assaultron spinning at satanic speed while firing laser like it's at rave party in wasteland but no visible damage to the environment. One time when I was playing Fallout 76, I used a tree as a shield to block the Assaultron's laser and asked, "How can a mere tree block a multiple gigawatts laser?"

Don't worry, hopefully the next chapter will talk about tanks from Gate anime and what's going on with them along with fighter jets. But let's face it, you're going to see a whole lot of things that'll make you want to scratch your head, pull your hair, and/or say "Fuck you, your story suck and it make no sense".

I even researched real life metals commonly used to manufacture military vehicles and aircraft and their melting point. As far as I can see, no military vehicle or aircraft is capable of enduring 10,000 Fahrenheit or 5,600 Celcius (sun's surface temperature) heat exist in real life. You would have to be Superman (own by DC Comics) to sleep comfortably on the sun's surface. But do want to say I don't see anything that is actually "heat-PROOF" or "fire-PROOF", only "heat-RESISTANT" or "fire-RESISTANT. Example: a container holding molten hot lava but not hot enough to burn through the container because of not meeting and breaching the threshold.

I am also no expert on guns and bullets physics. Outside movies, tv shows, and video games, I'm too lazy to research. All I know is high caliber equal more firepower while longer barrel equal greater distance in my simpleton mind.

Also about the power armor, anyone ever notice the crafting requirement in Fallout 4 and 76 for T-45 and T-60? I'm using wiki from Fallout 3 and T-45 stated to have titanium but that metal not listed as required material in Fallout 76. And while playing Fallout 4 after re-installing, I've just noticed the Museum of Freedom picture wall displayed Stringray flying in space and kind of forgot about the Sea of Tranquility that took place on moon where America fought whoever to secure it.
