Chapter-02- Playing, Training, and Ki Manipulation
I had slept in, but apparently, I needed it. However, the little ball of excitement known as Goten wasn't having it.
"BIG SIS! Please get up! We need to play today!" Goten yelled while shaking me.
"Ooof, haha. Alrighty! Let me get up and get changed and we will go play!" I said, not knowing what that involved. I was sitting up looking at the bouncing Goten.
"Alright! I'll be waiting at the breakfast table! Mom, left a big meal for you cause you were sleepy!" Goten ran out of the room before I could respond and I just shook my head and smiled.
It was so strange seeing these people that were from an anime. They were so real and had so many emotions. I feel truly lucky right now, I am going to go eat a meal prepared by a loving mother, before joining my little brother to play. What an amazing thing, whatever happens in this world...I hope I don't take it for granted.
I changed into one of my black Gi's with neon green trim and headed down to say hello to everyone.
"Chiyo! Good morning sweetheart!" Chichi said while walking over and giving me a big old hug and a kiss on the cheek.
"Morning mom!" I said quietly. Starting to break out of my nervous shell. Gohan was sitting at the table reading through some textbooks. I lightly put my hand on his shoulder and smiled when he looked up.
"Morning Gohan!" I said.
He looked up with a smile when I touched his shoulder, "Heya Chiyo! How did ya sleep?!"
"Amazingly actually, I definitely needed the rest after yesterday." My stomach made a loud grumbling sound that may or may not have shaken the kitchen.
Chichi laughed, "Okay, my Saiyan daughter needs to eat!" She placed a full plate with potatoes, veggies, eggs, pancakes, toast, bacon, and sausage.
"Wow, mom! This is a feast!" I said and she laughed, "Thank you so much!"
"Oh, you have the best manners, it's like I really did raise you," Chichi said while looking off into the distance happily.
"So Chiyo, I was wondering, you said you have a lot of strength with the Legendary Super Saiyan trait? How does that compare to a normal Super Saiyan?" Gohan asked me and I answered between bights.
"Hmmm, well to be honest I have never actually seen a Super Saiyan, so I couldn't compare. In fact, I don't even have the slightest clue on how to access ki or use it to even begin thinking of transformations..." I said.
"I see, well if you want I saved my early morning training session so you could join me tonight if you want?" Gohan asked.
I smiled, but looked at Goten who was in the beginning stages of pouting, "Sure," I said, "but I am going to play with Goten today just like he asked!" I said and Goten immediately broke into a smile.
"Yay! I can't wait!" Goten said.
"Well, where do you want to go Goten?"
"Hmmm, usually Gohan and I just go out into the wilderness and find some fun creature to play with!"
"I see, I don't know if we should go too far away as I still don't know how to fly or anything like Gohan," I said.
"I don't either, but I just call for the Nimbus when Gohan isn't using it."
"Nimbus?" I asked with instant curiosity...holy shit the actual NIMBUS!?
"Yeah! Let's go find it! NIMBUSSSS!" Goten called into the skies.
Sure enough, a golden cloud came rocketing forward to us. It seemed to nuzzle up to Goten when he ran up and hugged it. It was incredible...the cloud was soo amazing to see, it roiled with happiness at Gotens presence and the different parts of it were so gorgeous and golden. It was hard to believe that there was a sentient cloud just hanging out.
I was immediately nervous...the cloud only carries those who are pure of heart...I have no idea if I can count on that. I wasn't a bad person in my old world...even if my memories of those times were distant. But how would that translate to a sentient cloud that can hold people if you are pure of heart?
"Nimbus, this is my big sister Chiyo! She is amazing, come meet her!" Goten said.
I smiled nervously, "Hello Nimbus." I waved and the golden cloud slowly slid over to me, it seemed to be checking me out then it almost rubbed against my leg as a dog would nuzzle up to someone they liked. It felt cool on my calf which was exposed past my pant leg.
I giggled and reached down to pet it, It was soo soft and firm. Then Goten jumped on it..."Come on sis! Let's go for a ride!"
"I am not sure how to step on this beautiful cloud without hurting it," I said...still nervous.
"It's easy sis! Just sit right here behind me!" Goten said and I decided to buck up and try it out. I just had to hope I would be worthy.
But I leaned down onto the Nimbus and I could immediately feel the firm yet soft cloud stuff hold onto me.
"Whoah, Goten, this is amazing!" I sat down behind him and pulled him into my lap so we were firmly on the nimbus.
"Okay Nimbus, be careful with us! We don't know how to fly!" I said.
Just then Gohan came out and laughed as he saw us take off, I had just enough time to wave and smile at him as we rocketed away. I definitely didn't yelp and grab onto Goten strong.
"Haha, it's okay sis! I got you!" Goten said as he held my arms around him.
"Thanks, Goten! Nimbus, you are so amazing!" I said and I swear the cloud blushed a little pink.
It had been a fantastic day flying around and playing with Goten. We had just gone north of the city into some small hills and stomped around for a bit. The little guy was so full of energy and love of life that it brought a smile to my face every time I heard his laugh.
"Well Goten, I don't know about you but I am getting hungry, do you want to head back home and get some food?" I asked.
"Oh yeah! That sounds great!" And we got to jump back on the Nimbus which was my new favorite thing by far.
When we made it back there seemed to be a party of people standing around as huge barbecue grills were cooking away on some different cuts of meat. It smelled incredible and Chichi noticed us as Nimbus came to a stop.
"There you two are! I was about to send Gohan looking for you!"
"Sorry, mom!" Both Goten and I said together.
"I was just introduced to the beautiful Nimbus and I totally fell in love with it!" I said, just as the cloud came up and gave me a hug as it enveloped me I giggled.
Looking up I saw most of the Z-fighters and friends looking at me with shock.
"Whoa Chichi...is that a mini you?" Krillin asked, he had a full head of hair and was holding his cute daughter Marron.
"That's right Krillin, Everyone this is my new daughter, Chiyo! This is the result of the wishes yesterday that Goten and Trunks made."
"He asked for a sister?" Yamcha asked.
"Yeah, isn't that just adorable...the little guy wanted a sister so he asked Shenron and he made it happen," Gohan said with a smile.
"Hi everyone, I am Chiyo! Thank you for welcoming me!" I bowed nervously to hide my face.
"Hm...she has great manners, just like Gohan. It is nice to meet you Chiyo, you may call me 18," The beautiful Android said while walking up to me and putting her hand out.
"Hi 18, it is great to meet you!" I said while shaking her hand. She had a strong grip. "You are so pretty," I said to her which actually brought a smile to her face.
She laughed, "Look who's talking," She said with an eyebrow raised.
I blushed furiously.
Then Chichi came up behind me, "We decided to have a barbecue and invited all of our friends so you could meet them and they could meet you. Food should be ready soon!"
She left after stealing a huge and a bunch of people came up to meet me. I met Yamcha and Puar, Master Roshi and Oolong, Bulma's parents, and even Tien and Chiatozu. Chichi had kept her eye on Master Roshi as he got really close and she bonked his head as I introduced myself to him...he had a nosebleed. The Ox-King, my grandfather, gave me a huge bear hug while laughing his unique laugh.
Even Piccolo showed his face. He was reluctant to come but I was able to introduce myself formally now that I was aware and not naked.
He was actually very nice, the opposite of what I thought he would be like. "So Chiyo, have you decided on whether or not to train?" Piccolo asked.
"Well, I was hoping Gohan would at least show me how to do basic marital arts, fly, and meditate. I don't think that I would like to constantly train like Vegeta, but it would be good to know how to do so if we ever needed to.
Piccolo nodded, "Well if you ever want to get serious formal training... I would offer to teach you."
My mouth dropped open, "Oh wow...really?"
He nodded.
"Alright, well I will talk to my family about it and give you an answer soon if that is alright."
He actually chuckled, "Yeah, that is fine."
The rest of the day went by in a flash - smiles, food, love, and all-around good times were had by all who were at that party.
It was also interesting when Krillin, 18, and Marron were asked by Bulma if they wanted to stay at Capsule Corps and they were reluctant at first until I said something, "Oh, you should if it isn't a problem! It would be like we all are a huge family!"
Little Marron was adorable and she instantly took a liking to me, and I had her in my arms, "Yeah, mama! I want to be with big sister Chiyo!"
"Awww," Chichi said, "Come on 18, you can join our ladies' tea times which Chiyo will be a part of too!"
Chichi was actually surprised when I spoke up, "I was welcomed with open arms, you are obviously part of this group of people, and I would love to see you and Marron more often!" I said.
"Hey what about me?" Krillin said with a laugh that brought smiles to everyone.
18 looked to Bulma who just smiled, "I have another spot I could put a smaller version of the mansion-size capsules we have. It wouldn't be as big, but you would have way more space to be a family in than bunking up at Master Roshi's."
"Well, it sounds much better than being around that perverted old man," 18 said, and Master Roshi anime-fell with a nosebleed.
"Ah, she's ruthless," Master Roshi said, bringing another round of laughter.
Just like that our little group of people living next to each other just grew again.
Over the next several weeks I had been spending my time with my brothers and Gohan finally taught me how to access my energy. It was a revolutionary experience. It was like I was blind all my life to another sense that I now had access to. I could feel everything around me, my energy would connect to nearby life sources and it felt so good to be a part of that.
"I can feel you pushing your power out, just draw it to your hands for now," Gohan said with a smile as I felt around with this new sense I had access to.
"Sorry! It just feels incredible... It is like I was blind before this moment." I then gasped as I felt my twin bond with Gohan. I pushed my Ki through the connection and Gohan's eyes went wide.
"Whoa! Sis! This is...this is incredible!" Gohan said, when I pushed my power to him it resonated and built. I could hear his thoughts and he could hear mine as we formed a telepathic connection that grew from just being empathetic.
In my mind I felt his wonder, in my chest my Ki seemed to hum as if both his and mine were from the same source, just showing itself at two different points.
"Wow, this is amazing," I said out loud, "Wait, I have an idea. Show me how your ki feels...show me how you use it!"
I could feel the exact way in which he drew his ki forth. We felt like a binary star system, Gohan's energy surpassing my own by nearly 10 times over, and I was the little dwarf star just circling around him. But it was still incredible to resonate with someone who I could feel definitely cared about me. I returned the love.
"Gohan, wait...fly for me!" He smiled when he sensed my excitement.
"Sure!" He stood and I followed.
It was then that I felt how he moved his ki...or wait that is the aura that he created to move his body. He can create a ki aura and that projection can enable you to control yourself in the air!
I slowly took off from the ground and the only thing that kept me from being scared was the confidence my brother had. He shared it with me and I felt like flying was as easy as walking.
"There you go Chiyo! Nice work!" He encouraged.
"Hey wait! You said you were gonna teach me too! Not fair Gohan!" Goten yelled as we took off.
"Gohan let's work on this with Goten, I want to fly with both of you," I said and we landed while he nodded with a smile.
By the end of the day, we could all fly, though I still enjoyed the Nimbus more than flying, like the connection to the cloud made me feel like part of the sky. Either way being able to fly just when I was getting used to being here made things feel different.
The next day Gohan wanted to take me to the lookout so I could learn the Ki healing that Dende does.
"Can I bring Nimbus? I like flying that way more..." I asked Gohan.
"Sure! HEY NIMBUS!" He called.
"Thanks!" I said as the Nimbus flew in.
When the golden cloud made it here I once again embraced it, which had become a thing. Ever since I had learned the basics of moving my ki around, I willed it to hold my emotions when hugging others, I don't know how it felt to them, but when I did it to the Nimbus it vibrated with happiness and I just kept doing that.
"Haha, can I have a ride Nimbus?!" I also always asked before I hopped on. The cloud responded by nudging me and I sat down on it.
Gohan shook his head, "I swear Nimbus loves you as much as it does my Dad!"
I just smiled at him. "Well let's get going! To the lookout!"
It was a fairly long flight but it was fun sharing in the excitement as Gohan and I shared each other's emotions. He was racing me and Nimbus but he let us win.
Finally arriving at the amazing structure that earned its name just by being where it was, the Lookout was an incredible sight. I was surprised by the size of it, much larger than I remember it looking in the show. I thought the surface would be blinding white in the sun, but the tiles didn't have a bright reflection spot where the sun should be...it was strange.
"This place is amazing Gohan!" I said.
"Yeah, it's quite the place, huh?" Gohan replied with a smile as we made it to the buildings on top. I hopped off the Nimbus and hugged it again before it flew up into the sky.
"See you in a while, Nimbus!" I waved after it.
"Hey Dende! Hey Mr. Popo!"
"Gohan! How are you?" Dende asked.
"Doing great Dende!" Gohan said with a wave.
"Gohan, who is your friend there?" Mr. Popo asked.
Gohan rubbed the back of his neck, "Haha, well that is quite a story, turns out this is my twin sister, Chiyo!"
"Ah, so that is who was called forth from the Dragon Balls then!" The genie, Mr. Popo said.
"That's right, my little brother Goten really wanted a big sis...he just asked for her to be my twin."
"And here I am... It is nice to meet you both," I bowed at them politely.
"It is nice to meet you too Chiyo!" Dende said while Mr. Popo also sent his greetings.
"What brings you to the lookout today Gohan?" Dende asked.
"That has to do with my sister here, apparently some things happened and, well apparently she has some healing abilities we hoped that maybe you could work with that and teach her how to access it?" Gohan asked hopefully.
"Ki healing? That is usually very difficult since when you transfer ki you can provide energy, but it doesn't directly heal. It can help with regeneration, but that is about it. How do you know this ability exists?"
Gohan rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. I put a hand on his shoulder, while we were almost the same height, he was undoubtedly bigger than me, and his hair put him nearly 6 to 7 inches taller. I usually kept mine in a ponytail with some strands hanging down on either side of my face, but Gohans stood straight up apart from a single lock hanging down in front.
"I mistakenly asked Shenron for the ability to heal as one of the wishes...I was in a dazed state...having just woken up for the first time and the thoughts running through my head were apparently taken as wishes when I spoke out loud...I am sorry for using the dragon's wishes," I said, the last part while looking down at the ground.
"I see, well that makes sense, but there is no reason to worry, why don't you just have a seat and enter into meditation right here. I will use my magic to find your healing source!" Dende said, which was incredible since I had no clue how his powers work.
If my fading memories of my last life served then he used Divine Ki as the God of this world...that was a whole can of beans I was just going to ignore for now.
"Okay...meditation," I remembered what Gohan taught me for meditation, and cleared my thoughts focusing on the act of bringing air in and out of my body.
As I meditated I could feel my connection to Gohan very clearly, and he kept sending me waves of calming thoughts as he spoke to Dende.
"I also have another question for you Dende, before you start reading her ki," Gohan asked.
"Yeah, what's up Gohan?" Dende asked.
"Well, I know Goten specifically worded his wish so that Chiyo and I would become twins...but it is strange. Chiyo and I share a mental telepathic connection that we can share thoughts, Ki, feelings, and more through. It is really strange but both of us really like it, and it has enabled her to learn from me much faster. Both with ki and with studying different topics from school."
"Oh wow, it sounds like a twin bond for sure! You two should be able to do all that and more as twins, it should also make fusions for power boosts much stronger as well," Dende said.
"That is kind of what we thought as far as the bond, but I guess I am just curious as to how it might affect us as we are half and half, Saiyan and Human," Gohan said curiously.
"I see, that might have a few differences, just remember that any experience you have or she has can be shared and learned by the other. It is a very powerful tool amongst those who trust each other enough for this bond to flourish. It is breakable though, should one of you betray or seriously hurt the other, or...if one of you died, the connection would be severed," Dende explained how we could lose our connection, and there were several others including mind control, power intoxication, and more.
"I see, so we should always be connected...that is incredible! I guess we should learn to fight together if we can share power so easily!"
"Ooh, that is a good idea Gohan!" Dende said.
"Though she really doesn't like fighting as much as me, she is definitely more playful and innocent...much like Goten."
"Well, she didn't have to go through Cell to save this planet as you did."
Gohan laughed, "That is exactly what she said about it."
Dende reached down to the meditating Chiyo and placed his hand on her head. He then read her thoughts and felt her ki signature. She was doing a great job meditating and he could see that it took her a lot of effort at first to learn it. He knew she was pure of heart since she was able to ride the nimbus, but when he connected to her Dende could actually feel her innocent and pure heart. She had so much love to give and it showed in his reading of her.
Then he focused on her ki pool and to his shock he felt the amazing power of healing...it was just like his, but weaker and it came from her Ki! Not something that he had ever thought possible as his healing came from his divine source. Specifically, a non-divine source of ki shouldn't have enough power to heal others...it was then that he saw her core. The green energy was barely restrained ready to be released.
"What power is this?" Dende asked out loud.
Piccolo had shown up and stood next to Gohan just as Dende said this.
"Hey Piccolo, what do you think he means?"
"Hey Gohan, I am not sure...but I too can feel a power source in her that feels nearly endless."
"Interesting," Gohan said.
Dende then turned and lifted his head to look at the two, "She has a source of Ki that is powering a healing ability similar to mine...it is incredible."
Piccolo flinched, "What?!"
"No don't worry, she isn't using divine ki or magic...it is so strange. That being said the energy is sealed behind a wall right now...if I release it...it would be explosive...I recommend more training and sparring to allow it to happen naturally," Dende said.
Chiyo came to and looked up, "Did it work?"
Dende smiled, "Yeah, would you spend the rest of the day here? I can teach you to heal very quickly, but I will need someone with injuries to do so..." He said while looking at Piccolo and Gohan.
Piccolo smiled, "Well then Gohan, let's see if you still have what it takes to fight with me."
Gohan smiled and looked at his old mentor, "Let's do this!"
They floated up and began sparring as Dende spoke with Chiyo, "So, Chiyo, when channeling your Ki for the intent of healing, remember that it doesn't matter how much you put in, only a certain amount can be absorbed at a time. It is like returning them to an ideal state, which is what your Ki wants to do when applied. That is also how a Senzu Bean works except that it accesses a bit of divine energy to immediately heal both body and spirit."
Chiyo nodded and asked, "I have heard of Senzu Beans, they require a very special process to grow, but they can fully heal you and restore your energy, is that right?"
"You got it!" Dende said, "But just remember how precious this ability you have is...to heal others as I can is a tremendous feat."
Chiyo's eyes went wide and said, "Wow, so...as far as pulling my Ki out...will it heal people I hit with a ki blast instead of hurt them? That might be weird in combat."
Dende laughed, "Well it's about intent, will, and application. To sum it up, this is the ability to manipulate your Ki. This is the essence of any power usage, you need to hone your will and intent into it to affect how it is applied to the world. Take from that what you will."
That being said, I would recommend using touch first. It will be much harder to exert your will to heal with a distance ki shot. Transferring it to heal via touch is the ideal method and how I still heal to this day."
"Okay, great I understand," Chiyo said. "Thank you so much Dende, I can't wait to help people out."
I turned to watch Gohan and Piccolo spar, and I could feel from my connection to him that he felt excited and proud to be fighting once again with his old mentor. I sent him encouragement through our bond, but he got hit in the face when I distracted him and I felt horrible.
"Oh no...I just got Gohan hit in the face."
Dende laughed, "Through your twin connection?"
I just nodded sheepishly, while sending apologies to my brother.
He laughed more with Mr. Popo joining in.
"Well, that is why they are fighting," Dende said.
Finally, the fighters decided they were beaten up enough to get healing.
"Alright, watch closely how I apply my magic, obviously you won't be able to feel it but look at how it applies to Piccolo," Dende said.
I nodded and watched as Piccolo's wounds began to close, the injuries disappearing along with blood and anything on the surface of his skin and clothing were healed. His clothing was conjured by his own power, so it was connected to his Ki and both were returned to their ideal state.
I turned from that scene and looked at my brother who had a nice cut lip and cheek from where I got him hit with my distraction. He smiled at me.
"I am so sorry Gohan...I didn't mean to distract you."
"Honestly, it's fine, I will need to get used to it while fighting. If I let something as simple as feelings of encouragement and extra energy distract me, then I am in trouble!" He said with a smile.
I then concentrated on my will for him to feel better and I placed my hand on his chest with my eyes closed and pushed a small amount of what I tried to name 'Healing Ki' to him. It took a few seconds but I felt him responding with a gasp as his wounds began to close. A strange feeling came to me as my healing went from the connection we had from my hand on his chest to the twin bond that we had and my energy flowed through it. He healed in around 20 seconds.
"Wow, that felt amazing Chiyo! Nice work!" Gohan said.
"Thank you!" I said, still slightly feeling bad about getting him hit in the face.
"That was impressive, I imagine you will be able to heal him through your twin bond at a distance, but we should try it again on someone else who doesn't share that bond," Dende said.
"Right, time for round two kid," Piccolo said drawing a grin from Gohan.
Later that week Gohan and Piccolo met with me in hopes of trying to figure out my Ki. I could use a small amount...enough to fly and empower my body...but it was nothing compared to Gohan or Piccolo in their base states, hell even Goten and Trunks were sitting at higher resting power levels than I was according to Gohan. The one thing I was good at was sensing Ki. That was only because I could easily sense Gohan's Ki through our connection, and with that, I was able to feel it around me.
Sensing Ki made it easier to start to see beyond my body with my new sense. We ended up flying out into the desert a good ways away from civilization. Goten and I were riding the Nimbus as Gohan flew next to us.
When we landed it was time to see what I could do as far as powering up.
"Hey Piccolo, thanks for coming," Gohan said.
"Mhm," Piccolo said while looking at me. I nodded at him and looked at my brother.
"Alright, Chiyo are you ready?" Gohan asked, his curiosity obvious.
"Can you power up? I have never felt your whole power before and I feel like if I do I can get an idea of what to do," I said sheepishly.
Gohan smiled, "Sure it has been a while since I have pulled all my power anyways...so here we go."
I backed up from Gohan and stood near Piccolo and Goten.
"Go, big bro!" Goten said.
"Hehe, You got it squirt!"
Gohan then focused inward and began to draw his ki. Through the bond, I could feel his energy rise enough that some leaked through to mine, but in person, the wind was starting to swirl around and he braced his arms, "HuuuuuuuhhahaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"
Blue lightning sparked around him and his eyes turned teal. I could feel an eruption of power as his ki exploded forth, centered on his upper back. He looked like a torch as his hair got longer and turned a pale white-gold.
"Goten...he's incredible!" I said.
"Yeah! Our brother is the best."
"Yes, he is!" I said as I picked up Goten and held him in my arms for a good hug, "You are also amazing, I am going to try what he did though, do you think I can do it Goten?" He looked at me with the happiest smile.
"OF COURSE! I can do it too!"
"What?"
"Can I show you?"
"Of course, big guy go try it out next to your brother."
He jumped out of my arms and I looked to Piccolo who was watching Goten go with a shocked face, "This might confirm my theory, Piccolo."
"Your theory?" He said skeptically.
From my past life, I knew in Dragon Ball Super, when Caulifla powered up she just matched Cabba's aura by channeling her power through the right spot at her upper back. I know it also worked for her best friend Kale, who was the Legendary Super Saiyan from their universe. I know that the green power only usually worked when you are angry, but I wanted to see how far I could go while calm and matching Gohan's aura.
"I have a feeling that Saiyans have more of a connection than anyone realizes. Feeling each other's strength allows others to match where they are. I have never powered up before...so watch when I do and we will see."
It was then that Goten powered up, "AAAAHHHHHHHHH!" Power exploded from him and Gohan jumped back in surprise as another source of golden light erupted into existence.
"WHOA BUDDY! SINCE WHEN COULD YOU DO THAT?!" Gohan asked Goten.
"Become a little monster?"
"No, that is a Super Saiyan! You have to be the youngest ever to live!" Gohan said, I could feel his shock, but one emotion outweighed the rest, Pride.
Gohan was so excited for our little brother that I just smiled with glee. It is incredible the emotions I can now feel as a Saiyan, it was much more than anything I felt as a human if that made sense. I don't understand how else to compare it, they just felt stronger, maybe that is from being female instead of male?
"Why did you call it a Little Monster?" I asked.
"That's what Mom said when I turned to gold! She said, 'Now you're a little monster too!' and I was confused, but she told me to not turn like this unless I had permission," Goten explained.
I laughed, "Mom, thinks he's a little monster like this?"
Gohan also laughed, "I guess he kind of is! Goten you really are amazing! Well, Chiyo you have quite a show to live up to!" Gohan said with a challenging smile.
His face had changed with the transformation, and so had his confidence. "You know brother, you look more handsome when you are a Super Saiyan...the strong jaw," I smiled when he blushed but he could feel my amusement at his embarrassment. What else are sisters for if not to torment your brother!
"Alright, well let me try this," I said.
Explaining how to channel ki would be impossible to put into words, but if I could it felt like a sliding scale that got easier to move the more you used it. But that isn't quite right either, because the precision to put your power at an exact spot and be stable is a difficult task.
I had been practicing for a few days how to channel my ki through my body, but I never exerted more than enough to fly. And even then I preferred to use Nimbus whenever it was available.
The truth is that I am scared. I know what happens the second I tap into that Legendary Ki, I will lose control, just like what will happen if I see a full moon. The tail I have was swaying nervously behind me as I looked down.
"Why are you scared?" Gohan said.
I flinched, "I...I don't want to lose control...If I unlock that power...I might lose control."
"It's fine, we are here to help, if you lose control I will talk to you through the bond alright?" Gohan said while sending feelings of comfort and encouragement.
"Okay, Gohan...Here I go then." I said, and I turned my frustration at the chance of losing control to channel my energy to my upper back. I started with a growl after about 10 seconds of channeling energy there and I felt something break.
"GrrrrrryyuaaaaaaaahhaAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!" I screamed forth my energy and the white energy that had been gathering turned to brilliant gold. Blue lightning erupted around me and my hair turned to gold as it stood up, My ponytail was released and my hair went wild...I felt like I could just keep climbing...so I did.
Another barrier burst and I felt my eyes go wide, looking up Gohan could see my panic take hold as my golden energy turned a bright neon green and my ki skyrocketed.
"UUUHHHHYEYEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!" My scream was high-pitched at the end as it echoed around and it came with an explosive aura that knocked everyone back, even Gohan in his Ascended state.
My tail turned the same neon green as my hair, my eyes went a green-tinted white with no orbs and I could feel a berserk energy take hold of my mind. It was like something just casually took the reigns from my body and I went with it. Whatever took over for me screamed and continued to power up.
I couldn't imagine power like this as I could feel it entering space above us...It was a surreal feeling. My energy covered so far around me, I think the wonder of that fact was profound enough to not lose total control.
The atmosphere seemed to resonate with me as I let my ki flow outward until it seemed to stabilize.
"CHIIYYOOOOO!" It sounded like my brother...from a far distance, I blinked and tilted my head to listen as I couldn't see anyone around me, and my Ki was blowing all the others around me away...or no I just could feel them but for some reason focusing on them felt outside of my conscious focus.
"CHIYOOOO, You have to stop! You are destroying everything!" Gohan yelled
"BROTHER?" My voice came out distorted and I sounded so dumb, but I couldn't quite get my power or my body under control.
He finally fought hard enough against my power to stand in front of me and he put his face in my vision. "CHIYO, Please calm down, take control, and relax your power!"
"OKAY," But I didn't, it just built up again and I could feel it ready to explode. "It's...NOT...WORKING! AAHHHHHHHHH!"
My hair lengthened while my body grew, "YEAAAAAHRRRRRRRRhHHHHH!" My voice was full of ki and echoed throughout the area.
"STUPID BRAT! GET YOUR POWER UNDER CONTROL BEFORE I TAKE YOU DOWN!" Vegeta's angry voice came after he hit me in the face.
I didn't move and I barely felt the blow. Vegeta was in his Super Saiyan form and began to charge up.
"No Vegeta! She was about to calm down!" Gohan yelled.
I felt my body move on its own and it threw a straight punch into Vegeta's chest cracking his chest armor and launching him back. My power was about to surge me after him when two strange green arms put me in a full nelson, "YOU NEED TO CALM DOWN NOW, CHIYO!"
It was Piccolo and it terrified my mind while the berserker energy was in charge. I began to try and wrestle back control, like grabbing out at something beyond my reach.
Gohan stood in front of Vegeta, "Stop right now Vegeta...she doesn't know what she's doing...let me handle it."
"Grrr, Out of my way fool!"
"NO! She is my sister and you will not fight her right now!" Gohan said with fire, my furious emotions must be crazy through the bond.
"Tsch, if it doesn't work I am taking her down," Vegeta said.
Gohan nodded and came back to me quickly. He hovered in front of me and I was fighting against Piccolo whose long arms wrapped around mine and my head and my body couldn't break it.
"Chiyo, please listen to me...I am sorry about Vegeta, but he won't attack you again." Gohan said. I heard it, but it didn't let me grab control yet despite how soft he was speaking.
He came closer and put his hands on my cheeks and put his face in front of mine, forcing my focus on him. "CHIYO! Look at me!"
My eyes were still pupil-less but I could finally see a little clearer as I began to take control. I started with my attention on Gohan and worked to step in while keeping my power at this level. It dropped a little, but I was still able to keep holding onto that level. At the same time, my body relaxed from struggling and I finally had control of my voice and body.
"Gohan...I am here, I am so sorry," My voice seemed to calm everyone besides Vegeta who still clearly hated me. I felt my body shrink a bit to a more compact size. Still nearly twice as big as normal and I was now a whole head taller than Gohan in this form.
He sighed, "I am just glad you are alright, are you fully in control?"
"I am...it feels so endless...like it is just waiting to react to a power level...I don't know, this power is strange," I said, my voice less distorted but still deeper.
"You are holding it well now it seems. Holy cow Chiyo, you have more power than all of us!" Gohan said. That made Vegeta scoff.
"This power isn't earned, I get that, but if I can use it to save our friends and family then I am happy with it," I said as I looked at Vegeta.
A little ball of golden energy came and hugged me now that my aura wasn't blasting out from me as violently. "WOW, sis! You are incredible! I always knew you would be super strong and super pretty! I knew my wish worked!" Goten said innocently.
I awkwardly laughed, "Thank you for bringing me here Goten, I hope you won't do it again though."
"Haha, I won't I have all I need!" Goten said with the same innocence he always had.
I smiled at him, "Alright, it is time for me to fight Vegeta."
"What?" both Gohan and Vegeta said.
"Yeah, I need to know what I can do and I want to face you," I said to him.
"You aren't going to lose control again are you?" Vegeta said mockingly.
"No, I don't really know how to fight either, but at least Gohan told me how to throw a punch!" I rushed him with that and his eyes went wide but he was still in Super Saiyan and blocked the punch though he grimaced.
The one thing I started trying to add to my punches was the feeling of my Ki rushing forward into it so it would explode out when my fist hit. I don't know if that is different then how they did it, but it was how I began to picture my hits.
I continued with a barrage of punches and felt my right leg fly across with a sweeping high kick. He dodged that and finally came back with a punch to some opening that I definitely had in my defense.
I took the punch in the ribs with an oof, but it didn't make me want to stop. I wouldn't say the pain felt good, but it definitely felt like it was making me stronger. It appealed to my new Saiyan senses in a way I wasn't expecting.
My right fist threw all my force and Ki forward to a point just past where I would impact his body. The punch exploded him forward and he rolled out of it only to turn around and chargeback.
We got into an exchange of blows and his experience showed. Trying to block attacks left me open when I tried to respond to them I was over-extended. My timing seemed to be off all of a sudden and 5 or 6 hits got through stunning me.
Vegeta did an amazing roundhouse kick that connected with my chin sending me flying into a hill. It was strange that impacting rocks hurt, but it wasn't like it was in my last life. The rocks would break before I do. It should kill me...but it just hurt. What an odd sensation.
I exploded forward and dashed with several afterimages, not realizing I had created them with the small bursts of Ki I used to propel myself forward. I connected with Vegeta's stomach in a vicious uppercut. I stepped back and fired an open ki blast at him. It was a wide-arc shot that was just meant to blast back everything like a shotgun, I used the pain from my gut punch as an opening for the Ki blast.
I usually practiced channeling Ki through my body and I haven't had time to develop techniques like the Kamehameha Wave or anything. This is literally the first time I have tried to attack with one. So all I can do is just hope to overwhelm him with single devastating blows or to try to catch him with a lucky ki blast if I can't connect again.
Utilizing all my strength I flew forward in a slight semi-circle and came in with a flying kick. It met Vegeta's forearm and I pushed him back a few yards when I shoved my ki out of my body.
"Hmph...Pathetic..show me your real strength!" Vegeta said as he elbowed me and I went flying back again.
I just growled and launched forward with an elbow of my own, he blocked it easily. Then a countering fist to my chest knocked the wind out of me and sent me stumbling. I definitely had more power...but this was a man who had been fighting since he was a child...worked for a tyrannical galactic emperor and now he is one of the strongest people in our universe.
I understand his anger after going through life like that but how do I even begin to beat someone with years more experience than me?
Gohan was watching his sister, who now had a higher Ki level than him, attack Vegeta with all her strength. It took everything in his power not to let his pride and love leak through the bond. She is so strong and he could feel their connection as power coursed through to him. Her power felt endless and he could feel the strain of her trying to take back control of it.
When they made eye contact, for a second their power resonated and he felt a stirring of something deep within himself, another power source besides Super Saiyan? It was a strange feeling Gohan couldn't quite place.
Gohan pondered this as his sister fought fist-to-fist with Vegeta. He could sense her hesitation to directly engage with the more experienced fighter and she clearly had the urge to fire ki attacks from a distance but she didn't want to rely on it.
Overall she was doing great, this was someone who openly admits she had no idea how to fight, and yet the small amount of basic training he had taken her through is what she is using to try and beat Vegeta. It was a near-impossible task, yet she kept fighting and getting back up, her energy and resolve only growing.
Her fists seemed to be doing lasting damage to Vegeta even though she takes the last hit more often than not in the exchanges. Gohan was starting to wonder why he wasn't seeing any real damage on Chiyo until he saw a quick flash of teal light under the controlled Neon aura. It was the same color as her healing Ki! She was healing herself and continuing to fight with no damage, relying on the near-endless energy of the Legendary Saiyan transformation.
He accidentally sent the impression of awe through the link to her and she snuck a peek back at him with surprise. Only to engage seconds later as Vegeta forced her to defend. Once again Vegeta broke her defense this time claiming three strikes against her. The last one was strong enough to launch her back into the ground.
Chiyo never gave up and charged back while teal enveloped her form. It was taking longer each time now to fully heal herself and Gohan saw the inevitable outcome of the fight.
Until he heard his mother scream.
Bulma, Chichi, and 18 were having tea when the sky darkened in a direction a few Saiyans had just flown off to. Then the planet began to shake and Vegeta took off that way. Bulma sighed and got out a Jet-copter capsule and the three women boarded it and flew off.
"I swear if Chiyo is fighting I am going to have an aneurysm!" Chichi said.
"I have a feeling that is exactly what is happening...knowing those Saiyans," Bulma said.
18 just shook her head while Krillin was playing with Marron, she was still reluctant to head off like this.
They made it to the site where the Saiyans were fighting, and sure enough...Chiyo was going toe to toe with Vegeta in some strange green Super Saiyan form.
"NOO! She is also one of those...supers!" Chichi said sadly.
She was fighting at insane speeds that only 18 could really keep up with, but Chichi wanted it to end immediately. "BULMA! Let me yell at them, now!" Chichi demanded.
Bulma quickly handed her a receiver and said, "Loudspeaker is running! Just hold the button to talk."
"CHIYYYOOOO YOU WILL STOP FIGHTING THIS INSTANT YOUNG LADY!"
And that was the end of that fight.
