Chapter 04 P1 - The World Martial Arts Tournament Part 1
The last week before the tournament Gohan and I had finally worked out a decent plan to change how this tournament would go and we were ready. He had grabbed 5 Senzu Beans and I had brought a few sets of manacles that I had Bulma make.
They could almost hold a Saiyan in base form, so I was hoping after a beating we could use them when needed against humans. I had a Capsule that Bulma gave me with 5 sets of manacles in it, One with a gravity chamber, and the rest of the case was full of empty ones so I could capture the technology that Babidi utilizes in conjunction with Ki.
Our preparations were complete. We had trained for weeks, Gohan and I going as hard as we could for at least 4 hours a day. Videl would watch or do her own thing with Gohan's guidance. She could even be seen training with Goten and Trunks, the duo of mischief was a solid set of sparring partners.
Goten and Trunks had followed Gohan and me in training to fight as duos.
The first day after Videl was able to fly we sat down for some lunch courtesy of Chichi and 18. They had made a bunch of food for everyone who was training and invited us all to sit and eat. Krillin and Vegeta had come out of their own training to join us for lunch.
Krillin was flirting with 18 and Vegeta sat off on his own. Bulma came out while in her inventing overalls as well. They were telling stories of my dad and some of his crazy stories.
Videl leaned over to my brother, "So Gohan, could you do me a favor and not tell my dad about this training? I want it to be a surprise at the tournament, okay?"
"Sure, don't worry, I never run into him," Gohan said cheerfully.
"And that's for good reason, if he knew I was hanging out at a boy's house I know exactly what he would say," She then mimed Hercule, "WELL I FORBID IT! YOU FIND A BOY STRONGER THAN ME AND MAYBE I'LL CONSIDER IT, I MEAN MAYBE I'LL CONSIDER IT!"
Videl continued, "I don't need you beating my dad up just so we can keep hanging out."
Gohan laughed nervously, "Have you ever tried to fight him?"
"No, but he hides everything about his training these days. He only goes out to the gym for speeches and protein shakes," Videl said with a laugh. "Still though, I know we have been training and stuff, but I am intimidated by him...I don't think I could beat him."
I spoke up, "You are much stronger than your father now Videl. You need to work on your Ki sensing abilities, you will find your power level is much stronger than his."
Gohan nodded at Videls shocked face, "You have been sparing with my family for a while now, you can fly across the world if you wanted to. You haven't seen your dad fly have you?"
Videl looked shocked and spoke, "No, I guess I haven't."
The day finally arrived and everyone was meeting at Capsule Corp to go over as a group. We all loaded into one of Bulma's large airships and headed on over. Videl said she would meet Gohan at the tournament, and Piccolo would meet us there too.
Yamcha and Puar showed up, then Tien and Chiaotzu, and Master Roshi followed. Even Grandpa Ox was there, we left as a huge group. I was sitting next to Gohan on the airship and I had Goten on my lap. He was getting nervous as we were going to meet our father for the first time.
"What is our dad like Gohan?" Goten asked.
"He's like an angel Goten."
"What's an angel?" Goten asked with all the curiosity in the world.
"I am not sure, but when he's around you know everything is going to be alright," Gohan said.
I smiled at that and hugged Goten, "It will be fun, he seems like a really nice person! He is definitely going to love you to pieces big guy."
He laughed when I blew raspberries in his neck and he laughed then said, "What about you Chiyo!? Will dad like you too?"
"I am sure he will, but if it makes you feel better, I am very nervous too," I said truthfully. The legendary Goku is my father. That isn't something you just get over.
"You are?" Goten asked.
"I am, this is a big moment for both of us Goten. Our father is an amazing person and this is the first time he will be in either of our lives. It will be a moment to remember forever," I said while looking out the window.
I could feel Gohan's emotions as he sent feelings of comfort to me. I looked over at him and he just smiled and I returned it. I would always appreciate my Twins' comfort, even if I could feel his nervousness about our plans later today.
We finally arrived at the Island where hundreds of airships were landing and we walked as one massive group, which caused quite a stir as we walked into the event. That was until another massive and expensive airship landed. People immediately started to go crazy and surround the ship as Videl and Mr. Satan stepped onto the landing ramp.
"Well, I don't sense Goku anywhere, but someone we do know is already here!" Master Roshi said.
"Oh hey, Piccolo!" Gohan said. The excitement of the atmosphere started to build and it was definitely affecting him and I could feel it build through our bond.
"Have you seen our dad yet?" Gohan asked.
"Not yet, I am glad you decided not to wear your superhero stuff to fight today," Piccolo said.
"Yeah, Chiyo talked me out of it. We aren't going Super Saiyan so it wouldn't work if I was 'The Gold Fighter' today," Gohan explained.
Just then I felt a chill down my spine and heard the telltale sound of someone using Instant Transmission. I turned with everyone else to see my father, Goku.
"Hey! I'm back!" Goku said with a huge smile.
I immediately broke into a smile while Gohan stepped forward, "Dad! It's you!"
"Whoa, pinch me!" Krillin said.
"Wow! You guys have changed a lot in seven years!" Goku said, "Gohan! You're a giant!" Goku said.
I was standing back with Goten who was looking dumbfounded and Master Roshi spoke up, "Welcome back to Earth Goku!"
Then it was an awkward silence for a second and he didn't make eye contact with me just yet, but I was watching him like a hawk.
"So, guys are you just gonna stand there and stare at me all day?" He still had his huge smile on.
A bunch of people including Gohan ran forward to hug him as they all yelled in excitement.
"Ohh Goku, I've missed you!" Chichi said.
"And I've missed you Chichi." Goku said and he saw Goten who hid "Hmm?"
"Hey! I think there's a little me hiding behind your leg Chichi!"
Goten stuck his head back out and stared curiously at Goku, "I'm Goten."
Goku kept his smile, "And I'm Goku." He stepped forward and stared down as if inspecting his son to see his personality, it was intense but definitely filled with love and joy.
Goten stared as if also sizing up Goku, but more nervous, finally he seemed to recognize a kindred spirit and yelled, "DADDY!" and ran forward and jumped into Goku's arms. I had a huge smile on my face watching Goten accept him as his father.
"Hey hey hey! Haha, whoah little guy, you're a strong one aren't ya!?" They were immediately laughing and playing. It was the most adorable sight I have ever seen.
Fortune Teller Baba came forward, "Listen up Goku, you only have 24 hours alright? Then I will come to get you."
"Sounds good, thank you!" Goku said, and she flew off.
"I think we should get going to the sign-in," Piccolo said.
"Dad, you also have to meet Chiyo!" Goten said.
"Chiyo? Do you mean Chichi?" Goku asked.
"No Goku, this is Chiyo, your daughter," Chichi said with an arm around me.
My heart rate spiked and I nervously looked at him, making eye contact with Goku for the first time. Goku's smile disappeared, but its place was a look of shock and awe, "I have a daughter? Wow, she looks just like a pretty Gohan!" Goku said and everyone laughed at that. He put Goten down and walked to me.
I have never felt so small in my life, my dad was taller and bigger, but his presence and ki made him seem like a legend. I kept my eyes on him, which definitely weren't teary...but I still stared at him with a small hopeful smile.
He came forward and looked deep into my eyes, "You are just as beautiful as your mother." He said softly before pulling me into a huge hug.
He lifted me off the ground with the bear hug and I definitely didn't cry as I hugged him with all my might. "Thank you, dad," I said softly.
He put me down and stepped back to look at me, "I can't wait to learn more about you Chiyo!" Then he noticed her tail, "Chiyo! You have a tail! That's amazing!"
I blushed at that. "Well, yes of course I do," I said while looking away.
"She's very sensitive about her tail, dad. Be careful talking about it." Gohan whispered, but I heard that! I whipped my head around and stared evilly at him.
Gohan threw his hands up in surrender.
We then said goodbye to the people not competing and started to walk to the sign-in desk. It was then that Goku recognized 18 and panicked for a bit. "Dad! She's Krillin's wife! They live at Capsule Corp with all of us and their little girl Marron, who is just the cutest," I said.
18 smiled at me, "Thank you Chiyo." I just smiled and nodded back.
"You all live at Capsule Corp now?" Goku asked.
"Yup!" I explained how Bulma invited us and prepared a large area of the Capsule Corp campus as housing for a bunch of the Z-fighters and family. It brought everyone closer together and we usually all joined in for large meals and family gatherings.
I stood in front of my dad so a reporter couldn't talk to him. I engaged her just as she tried to engage him, "We are from here, thanks!" And I pulled my dad as we kept walking.
We signed up for the tournament and Goten and Trunks were sad to not be allowed to join the adult division.
Eventually, it was time for announcements and we were all pulled together when they announced the punching machine. We then got to watch Mr. Satan make an ass of himself punching with a full 'SATAN PUNCH' getting him 137 points for his punch. Videl actually celebrated while we all just looked at her like she was crazy.
"Vegeta, please don't destroy the machine, I really want to watch Goten fight, so if you do you need to go after us," I said while moving everyone ahead of him.
"Tsch, whatever," Vegeta said.
As our group went we all scored above 200 by just barely tapping it. I got 200 on the dot, calculated. Videl was confused when she hit 173, thinking that it must have been broken.
Videl was introduced to our father, and she was stiff as a board as she shook his hand.
Vegeta just went last and destroyed the machine just like in the anime. Hah! We already were making huge changes to the timeline! I am not sitting in this line for three hours while they fix it.
They tried to show the video of the fake cell games on a giant blimp, which I was having none of. "Waaavess and Rooooockks. This show was brought to you by waves and rocks." The blimp announced.
The second I saw cell's shitty costume on the giant monitor I flicked a small needle of ki which broke the screen. Yeah...not happening.
The all too happy announcer guy said, "Aww, well I guess we are having technical difficulties, folks...I guess we will just have to release this video differently! Sorry about that."
Everyone in our group looked at me, "What? It was rubbish."
Piccolo agreed with me at least with a nod and a grunt, my dad just laughed and said, "Still, they looked like they worked really hard on it!."
After that, we sat through match after match of the Junior Division until the very end. We were all watching our little warriors with excitement. They were essentially unchallenged until facing each other.
"Hey Gohan, who do you think will win, Trunks or Goten?" Krillin asked.
"Hmmm, I am not sure, up until recently I didn't even know Goten could fight, turns out he is quite the skilled little guy. What do you think Chiyo?"
I looked up and gave my most diplomatic answer, "Well, I have been training with both of them and we all spar constantly. Trunks is older and it definitely shows from his ki control to his decision-making. That being said, when Goten is pushed, he will answer with unrelenting determination and passion. In the heat of the moment, the fight will become serious for Goten and that is when it really becomes interesting." I explained.
Vegeta scoffed, "That isn't an answer."
I didn't reply until my dad looked at me, "You already know who wins?" he asked with a smirk.
I just shrugged with a smirk of my own.
I remember how the fight went in the anime, but now my memories have been fogging over, or maybe just growing distant as I accustom myself to this new life. It was different this time around, training with me and my mother had changed things.
They faced each other and the second the match started, they rushed each other. That was me rubbing off on them. Something I was always consistent with was that I didn't hesitate at the start of any fight. It was mean at first until my brother and Trunks did the same. I ran it into their heads that when it was time to fight, we do so to put the enemy down. We do it fast and unrelenting and we do not stop until it is over.
If this was a video game people would call me a 'Try-Hard' and that is good. I lived my last life mostly in relaxation and comfort. But now it just feels so good to keep pushing myself. I made sure anyone on my side would be ready to engage at speeds like that, including Trunks and Goten.
I wanted us to be ready for the Tournament of Power, and it starts now. Goten and Trunks hit with a smash, sending a shock wave while their elbows connected. They immediately began exchanging rapid-fire blows. They rose into the air as a series of afterimages disappeared between them.
They hit once against the edge of the stage and it cracked the hard stone, chipping a huge piece off. Goten then made a mistake and ended up getting stunned with a hit to the chin. Trunks capitalized and knocked him to the ground. Goten caught himself on the stage in a kneeling stance, leaving another crater. He dodged just in time to have Trunks split the stage with a Ki-enforced slam.
They didn't stop as the crowd sat silently in awe of the display. I heard Videl uttering things while Gohan cheered.
"Alright! They are incredible!" Goku said.
"Yeah they are, what has your mom been feeding those guys Gohan?" Krillin asked with a smile.
The fight went on and Goten and Trunks exchanged a few devastating blows, but Trunks was starting to overwhelm Goten's defenses until he landed a strong kick to the gut launching Goten into the air.
The little guy turned with ferocity as Trunks came up to meet him and a well-placed kick to the chest started a physical clash between the two. Goten's damage from the fight was starting to slowly add up and he was slower to block.
Trunks broke through Goten's defenses, claiming around 4 strikes with fists and feet until Goten screamed in rage. His ki skyrocketed and his hair flashed with golden light. The crowd had just started getting into the fight, cheering the boy's on as they dueled but it went deathly silent as Goten turned Super Saiyan.
"What? Whoa, Goten is a Super Saiyan?" Goku asked.
"Tsch! He is cheating Kakarat! We agreed that no one would go Super during the fights!" Vegeta said.
"Well, what do you want me to do about it, it was Goten that did it, not me," my dad said.
I just laughed as Goten launched himself at the stage where Trunks was looking at him with a head shake. They clashed in an exchange of blows, nearly all of them blocked on both sides, though Goten's new power level was leaving a fair amount of damage.
Then Trunks went Super and had a 3-hit finishing combo, 1 to Goten's chest, then the side of his head, then his gut as he was set into the wall before collapsing onto the grass. I could tell he was just fine as he punched the ground in frustration.
It was an amazing fight overall and the crowd was going wild.
"Wow, those little guys are incredible! They are going to be stronger than all of us one of these days." Goku said.
"You got that right!" Gohan said with a smile and I nodded at that.
"So uh, anyone else want to get something to eat?" Krillin asked.
"Oh, that sounds like a great idea!" Goku said and we started to walk away I was getting ready to head down and heal the boys.
Turning around she instead just whispered to Gohan, "They aren't going to watch Trunks versus my Dad? I know Trunks is strong, but he's still a kid!"
"I will watch with you, but you have fought Trunks a bunch of times. You haven't fought your dad even once. I think you will realize what we have been showing you," Gohan was much more straightforward than he was in the anime, I wonder if I helped him bring that confidence out.
I sent feelings of pride to him through our bond and he smiled at me before I made my way down to the field and healed the boys. I told them both how proud everyone was of them, and to come to get some food when they were finished with the exhibition match with Mr. Satan.
The rest of us found a table inside the competitor's eating hall. They apparently had free food for us...that was a mistake when dealing with Saiyans. I still ate with polite manners, I just ate fast. But I didn't talk with my mouth full and I didn't shovel the food. I was the only Saiyan to not do so, but it was getting weird that I had feelings of pride about not being a slob.
"Wow Chiyo, you eat like Chichi!" Goku said.
"You mean she eats like a lady?" 18 said with disdain, "Unlike the rest of you Saiyans."
Krillin said, "You know, you sure eat a lot for a dead guy."
Goku just laughed with his mouth full, "You know, that's exactly what King Kai said, but I just love to eat!"
"Oh cool! Chow time!" Gohan said as he and Videl walked around the corner.
"Gohan! Hey alright! How did it go?" Goku asked around a mouthful.
"Well, it was pretty interesting, Trunks beat Mr. Satan with one punch!" Gohan said.
"Really?" Was Goku's mouth-filled response.
"But everyone thinks he lost on purpose just to be a gentleman," Gohan explained.
I looked at Videl and she almost seemed in shock.
Krillin was about to start speaking but I interrupted, "See Videl, you are much stronger than your father."
She looked up at me with her mouth open, "I..."
"It is fine, just make sure you end your fight quickly, Videl. You must leap on any advantage that you are given," I said ominously, I didn't want to see my new sister-in-law beat up by some scrub like Spopovich, hopefully, she doesn't hesitate to knock the guy out of the ring.
My brother looked at me with his eyebrow raised and a questioning emotion along the bond. I nodded at him and he gave Videl a meaningful look as the other looked at me curiously.
Goku, ever the saint said, "Hey guys! We ordered a bunch more for you as well, pull up a chair! It's really good!"
"Alright! Great! I'm famished," Gohan said.
We finished up and it was time for the serious timeline changes, as soon as we left the cafeteria my nervousness climbed. Gohan was there with a hand on my shoulder as we walked out.
We walked out of the building and the nice white-tiled walkway was empty besides two strange-looking people. They had orb-like earrings and were clearly not human. We walked towards them and they blocked our path.
I heard Piccolo grunt and saw him reflexively slow down. I sent Gohan telepathically that it was time, I nodded at the short one to signal who he was.
The Supreme Kai floated forward, "Greetings, are you the one known as Goku?"
"Yeah, how did you know that?" Goku asked with surprise.
"Your reputation as a great fighter proceeds yourself. I was actually hoping for a chance to fight you in the tournament," Supreme Kai said, "It's not that I am confident about beating you, not at all. It's just that I want to have the greatest challenge that I can think of and I know you're a man who understands that."
My dad just look surprised. It was time for me to step in, "Is that right...Just here to fight the strongest at the tournament?"
Supreme Kai already looked surprised, his fake intimidating smirk which held up for about as long as it took for his plans to fail in the anime, was already faltering. "Who are you?" He asked curiously.
"I am Goku's daughter, Chiyo, the more important question though, is who are you? SUPREME KAI!" I leveled a finger at him.
Everyone stood back shocked, Piccolo most of all. I am pretty sure he instantly started sweating. I geared up for my performance.
"I KNOW WHY YOU ARE HERE, and I am also here for a purpose. I am here to stop you from destroying this planet and my family along with it!" I immediately dropped consequences on him so it wasn't me trying to help Babidi and Majin Buu.
"Whaaa..." He stammered, reeling with shock at me calling out his title.
"Your plan, to allow Spopovich and Yamu to steal Gohan's energy so you can follow them back to Babidi's spaceship to prevent the rise of Majin Buu is purely foolish."
"How do you know of this?" Supreme Kai asked with shock and anger.
This was the first time I wanted Gohan to interject, a second voice to help destabilize his morale and add credibility to my arguments, "My sister is a seer, Supreme Kai, she knew you were coming here today for months, and we have been preparing to convince you of the truth." Gohan delivered his lines perfectly and I sent positive emotions to him.
People reeled at that statement.
"Chiyo...is a seer?!" Piccolo said.
"That can't be!" Kibito Kai said.
"It is true," I said. "Babidi buried his spaceship and killed everyone around it. I don't know where it is exactly but I intend to find that out my way. However, there are a few things that you do not know. If you were to fight us on this, most of this planet is doomed. Do you understand?"
The Supreme Kai stared at me in shock, "What do you know?" Good, he seemed to want to at least hear me out.
"Well for one, they already know you are here. Babidi has a lot of strong people under his control, including...Dabura."
"NO! It can't be!" Supreme Kai said, the fake smirk completely gone now.
"It is! And there is more. You need to hear this Supreme Kai, this isn't going to get easier," Gohan interjected again. It was now me and him standing in front of the Z Fighters while the Kais were staggered in surprise.
He finally seemed to gather himself while we let the silence hang for a minute, "Okay, continue."
"He has Majin Buu's Capsule connected to his spaceship. It is perfectly designed so that if we go in and fight through the ship, it will steal our energy and revive Majin Buu who will immediately be under Babidi's control. But you are underestimating us as well. If you were to let Spopovich and Yamu take Gohan's energy, that would be about 70% of the way to reviving Majin Buu. So that absolutely cannot be the plan."
The information bombs felt overwhelming to this situation as I dropped them, but Shin was taking them in stride, "Well, what do you suggest then? The only way to find the ship would be to follow them!"
"Look, they are being telepathically and magically controlled right now. They already have the knowledge of where to go because they came from there. All of us here that can use ki can read minds. At some point during Gohan vs Kibito's match, when they get a high enough energy reading from Gohan, they will attack. We just take them down, use ki to suppress them, and scan their minds. We do this as a team, you can even use your telekinesis, right?" I tried to involve the Supreme Kai so he didn't think I was going to ruin anything.
"How do you know Gohan and Kibito will fight?"
I just raised my eyebrow, "I am a seer. If we don't do this, guess who the first casualty of the battle will be?"
"Who?" Supreme Kai asked.
"Kibito, then Krillin, then Piccolo, then Gohan, then Me...then thousands that are watching this tournament, then cities all to the east of here. They are turned into candy and devoured by Majin Buu. That is the outcome of your plan, mine is different," I said and let that hang in the air. My dad came up and put a hand on my shoulder.
"Really Chiyo?"
"Yes dad, I am sorry that your only day back is filled with strife, but this is potentially world-ending."
My dad nodded at me in support.
The Supreme Kai stared at me for a long time, "Chiyo you said your name was?"
I nodded, "That's right, Shin." I said drawing a smile from him and horror from Piccolo and Kibito.
"I hope you are right Chiyo, what we have sacrificed for this already-" I interrupted.
"Don't worry, we will release the other Kai's spirit...if he is willing. He is still within Majin Buu, but that isn't part of the plan just yet," I said with a smirk. Then I filled everyone there in on their roles in the plans. I was surprised at how readily they agreed, but after a while, people realized I wasn't messing around. I only had to explain it to my dad three times!
When we were all waiting in the room for fighters, waiting for the drawing ceremony something completely unexpected happened.
A creepy blonde guy with a tiny Ki crept up behind me and actually stroked my tail! "AHHH! What the hell!?" I screamed as I jumped. I had sensed the guy walking by but didn't think he would touch me.
"Sorry sweety, I just wanted to see if that cute thing was real," Jewel said. He talked in a really forced smokey voice, it was utterly disgusting. The Z-fighters could feel my unease and my brother stepped in front of me.
"Don't think you can just touch people like that for no reason, especially without their permission!" Gohan said, his aura starting to build. My brother was nothing if not protective of me and I could feel his rage getting out after that incident.
"Whoa, easy, I was just talking to the girl, seriously if we end up in a match together...I'll go easy on you if you promise to go out with me," Jewel said while looking at me creepily.
To my surprise, it was 18 that stepped forward at that statement, "If you don't stop talking to her right now, I will end you." She was not playing around and my cheeks went red when she stepped up to defend me.
"Whoa, no need to get angry beautiful, I would love to take you both out," The creep said as 18 looked like she was about to destroy him, instead she just said, "You are going to wish that you stepped out of the ring if you go up against any of us. That is your only warning." 18 had fire in her eyes and when he walked away I gave her a hug.
"Thank you, " I said, feeling like he had left oil on my person just by being near me.
I am here as an athlete and this guy comes up to me in hopes of getting with me? What the hell is he thinking? I was so outraged that I immediately had so much more respect for women everywhere. Who the hell thinks they can just touch someone, especially MY TAIL. He will pay for that.
"Alright fighters! It is time to draw spots!" The announcer pulled me from my thoughts and we went out to the repaired stage for the drawing.
The fights were going to go as follows:
Krillin Vs Pintar
Piccolo (Majunior) Vs Shin
Videl Vs Spopovich
Gohan Vs Kibito
18 vs Mr. Satan
Goku vs Vegeta
Yamu Vs Killa
Chiyo Vs Jewel
"The fighting will commence immediately! I will show you to the preparation room. The rules are as follows: You lose if I count to 10 if you give up, or unfortunately, if you kill your opponent. Each match has a time limit of 30 minutes and not a second more. If there is not a decisive victor in that allotted time then that decision will be left up to the judges," the announcer said.
"Thirty minutes isn't long enough," Krillin complained.
"HEH HEH HEH Thirty seconds is too long for you tough guy!" The fat Pintar said while looking down at Krillin.
"Will you shut up?!" Krillin said with annoyance, Pintar just laughed.
I could still feel that scumbag's eyes on me and turned to give him a death glare. He only smirked and blew a kiss.
"You are going to regret this," I whispered to him, I doubt he heard me, but I was going to make him pay. Of course, that was assuming everything went according to plan before that.
Krillin and Pintar were walking out to the ring as the announcer gave us some basic information. I couldn't get the sight out of my head, the differences in their sizes were crazy. I was trying to figure out how many Krillins could fit in the huge man, but I gave up trying to calculate after a while.
The waiting room was awkward, as everyone wanted their space, but I stayed away from the Creep. In the anime, they built the tension between the Z-Fighters and the Kais, but right now the tension was without a doubt focused on the two men with the Majin curse on their foreheads.
I looked back at the match and saw the huge Pintar doing handsprings all over before he offered Krillin a free punch. It was shocking to see such a fat person move like that, but then Krillin one-shot him and he left a crater in the tiles outside of the ring.
Piccolo and Shin went out next, in the anime Piccolo was extremely nervous to fight the Supreme Kai, but since the objectives had changed Shin just walked out and sparred a little bit with Piccolo. They never went hard, but put on a small show. Shin then walked out of the ring after bowing. Piccolo bowed back and was still shocked as he walked out.
It was Videl's and Spopovich's turn.
I stopped her and whispered, "When you knock him down, do not relent until he has touched the grass. I promise you that is what you need to do. Use your speed to violently put him out of the ring fast, okay?"
She smiled at me, whether or not she was starting to trust me would be interesting to see, "Okay, I will Chiyo, thank you."
Videl joined the roided-out muscle mass named Spopovich in the ring. Looking at the mind-controlled man, he seemed to be in constant pain and I really hoped that it would free his mind when we destroyed Babidi.
When the fight started Spopovich charged Videl who immediately smashed a fist to his chin, launching him on his ass. She then followed up with a slam attack, landing just between his legs, and sending invisible ki to lift him off the ground. She used the momentum of her attack to come over the top and roundhouse Spopovich down toward the edge of the square ring.
His legs connected with the ring but his head and upper torso landed on the grass. He rolled backward and just looked furious as if he was ready to fly at Videl and keep fighting.
"That is it! As expected from Videl, an instant ring out! She handled that with ease!" The announcer said.
Spopovich was about to charge when Yamu yelled at him to get off the field. He actually listened and walked away. I was shocked at the turn of events, it officially feels like this timeline is now different. Hopefully, I can keep changing it.
"Chiyo! That was the move you taught her! It worked perfectly!" Gohan said with shock.
I taught her that one simple Ki-based knock-up plus sideways barrel-roll to the roundhouse for a devastating knockback. It was a perfect strategy against an enemy that could keep getting back up, but since there was a ring-out, he didn't have a chance against a move like that. It worked out in Videl's favor immediately.
The one thing about Spopovich was he would let her attack him constantly and only come back after a barrage was finished. This series was simply to extend her attack sequence to include when he was knocked on his back.
Videl came back to us with a smile and a skip in her step, "Chiyo! That move was perfect, you really did know what to expect in that fight!"
I smiled and hugged her, "Of course, your hard work the last few weeks was a larger aspect of that than the move itself."
Next up was the moment of truth, everyone was ready and we would make the move the second after Spopovich and Yamu stabbed Gohan. I didn't want to do that originally, but he had said he would rather take the attack so we had justification for stepping in.
Kitibito and Gohan were faced off now, and sure enough, it was time for Gohan to power up. I got to witness the epic power-up scene where Gohan shows his true strength. This time was different as he had been training for the past seven years and his power definitely showed.
"It is time, everyone. Be ready to go," I said as I pulled an empty Capsule out in preparation.
Then we felt Gohan ignite his ki power up, "huuuuahhhhhhhhhh AAHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Gohan screamed as a lock of hair came down in front of his face. His hair grew, blue lightning cascaded around him and the golden aura of an Ascended Super Saiyan came into existence. His power blasted back tiles and the announcer and gasps rang through the audience. The sky itself darkened in the presence of my brother's power-up.
When he stopped screaming, he stood in all his glory and that was when the two Majin-cursed men made their move.
Gohan clocked it but didn't react as the two came in close and when they stabbed him we moved, "Now!" I yelled.
All of us- Vegeta, Goku, me, Krillin, Piccolo, Videl, Kibito, and Shin, rushed to the two. I got there first and used the capsule to secure the Ki-stealing device, Vegeta put Spopovich into a headlock and Piccolo put Yamu in one. We all made sure that we were touching and Goku used Instant Transmission to a nearby island where Trunks and Goten had flown to on my orders. The island was pretty small and just large enough to accomplish our goals, I saw it on the way in.
"Alright, take them out," I said. Vegeta threw a ki-powered chop into Spopovich's neck that made him collapse immediately, while Piccolo did some ki technique that made Yamu pass out just after.
"Okay, dad, that one, Yamu is smarter so look into his brain for the spaceship's location. It will appear like a small hatch coming out of a circular dirt field," I said to my dad.
"You got it," Goku said, he grabbed Yamu by the face and closed his eyes reading his mind.
I tried something on my own and input my healing Ki into Spopovich, to my surprise the M from the Majin Curse was released with a hard push of my ki. "Whoah, I might have fixed him," I could tell that my actions had put him into a deeper sleep but it was enough to at least heal the damage from the Majin Curse.
"Chiyo, did I just feel you heal him with your ki?" Supreme Kai asked with shocked curiosity.
"Yes, I trained with Dende after I was given the ability to heal," I said while concentrating on his current status. Part of healing was being able to assess the condition of the body by analyzing the ki signature. It was a quick way to see what didn't flow, fit, or feel right.
"His Majin Curse is...gone it seems," I said with shock, "He won't be waking any time soon though." I pulled out two sets of Manacles and put them on the two downed puppets.
"I have it!" Goku said excitedly, "It isn't too far from here!" Isn't too far was a relative term.
"Alright, share the location with Piccolo mentally, we will get step two going," Goku locked eyes with Piccolo and they shared a telepathic connection. I then also healed Yamu, the 'M' on his forehead disappearing.
"Okay, Dad, Goten, and Trunks, Instant Transmission to Dr. Briefs with these guys. He is waiting near a set of holding cells that will hold them until the day is over. Though it seems like my healing is going to make them sleep for a long time. When you are done there just Instant Transmission back to us as we get there, we will need you for the next stage," I explained.
Everyone nodded and Goku, Goten, and Trunks along with the two passed-out ex-Majin Cursed men disappeared.
We took off quickly in the direction we needed to go, top speed behind Piccolo.
It was nearly a 20-minute flight and as we arrived Goku appeared without the little monsters in tow.
I then explained the plan, the location of Babidi, the amount of energy needed, and what we needed to do. Everyone agreed and we flew down to engage the ship before they could react to us just sitting there.
We appeared over the valley and raced to the ground while Piccolo began to charge a Special Beam Cannon and Vegeta would charge one of his best attacks as well. Shin would wait on the surface while Kibito entered with the first team.
We then landed all around the ring that was excavated and refilled with dirt where they had buried the ship. Shin telepathically counted to three and all of us slammed ki into the ground creating a massive crater and exposing the ship. I could feel faint life sources inside and it was time to charge.
I led the way and directed my dad to the lower part of the ship. Goku destroyed the wall into Babidi's room with a crystal ball and Majin Buu's storage chamber along the wall. Babidi and Debura were sitting there in shock as we broke through.
As planned Kabito used his telekinetic powers to hold Dabura in place, focusing on keeping the Demon's mouth closed. I threw a capsule at Majin Buu's ball and it vanished in a puff of smoke. Gohan smashed Babidi's crystal ball as he flew around the back of the wizard at super speed.
I appeared in front of Babidi with Gohan right flanking him, Ki blasts ready to go. Unleashing both of our blasts at his ki shield at point blank was extremely effective and we averted our eyes as Babidi's shield cracked and shattered before us. It launched the wizard back and he screamed in pain as he hit the wall.
I could tell that while Babidi was a magic user, having the ability to use ki as well had its uses. Then it struck me...this disgusting creature had access to two sources of power. I will need to revisit this topic later.
Babidi finally had the presence of mind to act, and he teleported both himself and Dabura away.
"Alright, Dad, can you check that they got caught in the trap? Gohan and I will clear the rest of this ship, it has minions in it. Kibito, can you go with my father to make sure it goes according to plan?"
I received curt nods and they were off.
I grabbed the Majin Buu-filled Capsule and tucked it away in the Capsule Box that I had. Normally you couldn't put organic stuff into a Capsule, but since it was in a dormant hibernation-like state within a solid metal sphere, it worked like a charm. Removing it from the ring on the floor ensured that no ki powered it up through the ship and since we didn't fight in the Ki gathering chambers, they didn't have any to give to the ball energy in the first place.
I sprinted through the ship with Gohan and knocked out all the minions. I then felt Vegeta and Piccolo's attacks go off on the surface as planned.
There were only a few rooms on this ship and before we bothered with the original fighting chambers we had cleared the 14 other members of the crew within seconds. As we arrived back in the original chamber, Gohan turned to see the last two, Pui Pui and Yakon step into the room from the ceiling.
I had already described how to beat both of them and we tag-teamed them one at a time before they knew what to do. We had been practicing fighting in tandem for a while now and communicating telepathically tipped the scales further against them.
Pui Pui went down first being crushed between our attacks, then we just powered up and blasted solar flares at Yakon who was overwhelmed and devoured himself in a ball of light. Pui Pui disappeared in that same explosion. I brought out a gravity chamber and put all the unconscious minions in there at 50x normal gravity. It kept all of them in place and would ensure they could be imprisoned later.
I sent the signal to Bulma telling her of the location of the spaceship that we could reverse engineer for so many prospects and she acknowledged the signal and sent people to capture the ship. Gohan and I looked at each other and smiled, "Let's see how it is going up top!"
Vegeta was pretty sick of Kakarots' brat ordering everyone around, but at least she showed respect when addressing him. He was ready to fight Kakarat and that was all that mattered to him. It made sense that she offered that as bait to follow her plan quickly so that they could go fight immediately.
Vegeta had reluctantly agreed to go along with the plan and even if he was still skeptical and it was too late to back out now. He infused his ki into the ground just like Chiyo had ordered, causing it to explode into the ground. It revealed a huge ugly spaceship and Vegeta began the next part of the plan. Both he and Piccolo were supposed to charge large attacks and Chiyo was under the impression that Babidi and Debura would teleport into the air above the ship in an attempt to leave.
He had charged his Final Flash, just as Piccolo was charging something on his forehead and he waited. Sure enough, within 10 seconds a bedraggled wizard and shocked Dabura appeared. Vegeta knew he was supposed to target Dabura but that hardly mattered as they were close enough to be destroyed together!
Shin yelled, unleashing his telekinesis on Babidi and Dabura, its hold weaker against 2 but startling enough to work, "HAAAHHHH"
He unleashed his blast just as Piccolo did, "FINNAAAALLLL FLAAASHHHH!"
"SPECIAL BEAM CANNON!" Piccolo screamed.
Vegeta's beam had a large area of effect, but the Ki-to-damage ratio was really high and he had been charging for a while. Before his attack hit though, he had the pleasure of seeing Babidi's head explode as Piccolo's spiraling beam went straight through it. Vegeta wiped out everything that remained in a single attack. At least Chiyo knew where to put him, he had a smirk as the Demon died with his master.
