Chapter 14 - Cerealian Dreams
Another year passed, only one more until the arrival of Beerus the Destroyer and his attendant Whis. I already have a full plan in place for their arrival, a huge competition in conjunction with the reveal of the Super Saiyan God...my dad. Of course, I have a bit to do before that happens, including getting my dad to unlock Ultra Instinct.
I had a meeting called with Piccolo, Tien, Carina Florez, and Rebecca Voss. My top staff.
"We have a plan in place for everything up until Lord Beerus comes and after that will depend on his reactions to us," I explained. World destruction was fully on the table.
"This was the Beerus who will destroy us if he doesn't like the food?" Rebecca asked.
I breathed deeply, "He is literally a God with senses beyond what a normal being would have, only refer to him with respect. I don't care if you are in a back room while he is on the planet or not. It is always Lord Beerus from any of us except my dad most likely. But we need that."
"Can you expand on that Director?" Carina asked.
"It is the nature of my father to disarm people with his personality, it works on gods and it is our only chance at survival. I promise you that if we play this right, we will thrive...if we do not...we will no longer exist. It is as simple and terrifying as that," I explained with full sincerity.
Tien and Piccolo shared nervous looks.
"It just seems crazy, sorry...Director," Rebecca said in a quiet voice.
"Don't worry, that is why I am going to be the main one interacting with them...unless they hate me. We still have another year until he wakes up and makes his way to us."
I was planning for a 3-month trip to our galactic headquarters in the next month. I would put our world on the galactic scene and try to turn around any hate for Saiyans. Luckily there wasn't much activity from the Frieza Force in our galaxy so many weren't directly affected. That won't stop their reactions to a Saiyan showing up, word had still made it here.
Our race has...earned its reputation.
The meeting continued, "So after I attempt to..."I looked at Rebecca, as only Carina was allowed to know about the Dragon Balls so far, "Save a few Cerealians...I will head off on this journey...hopefully not more than three months. Are there any questions?"
I answered questions for a time and explained as best I could the plan. We were ready for the next batch of wishes.
Much of the higher end of the Z Guardians were here, ready for what would happen next.
Tien, Piccolo, 17, Vegeta, Goku, Gohan, Videl, and the little monsters were all watching and ready to grab the spent dragon balls.
"Eternal Dragon Shenron, by your name I summon you forth!" I yelled over the dragon balls.
"I AM SHENRON, I SHALL GRANT YOUR WISHES, NOW SPEAK!"
"I wish to unlock Krillin and 18's potential!"
"I can only unlock one person's potential at a time, and it doesn't work for Immortal Androids."
My mind reeled at that, 17 and 18 are immortal? Or at least they don't age?
"Uhh...please unlock Krillin's potential," my voice monotone.
"DONE!"
Krillin and 18 were back at the Z Force's campus, so they didn't hear the wish but were ready to unlock their potential...I have no idea how to explain what I found out about the Androids so I will deal with that later...
I shook my head to clear it...next wish, keep it together Chiyo!
"I wish to bring the Cerealian named Muezli back to life right here!"
His eyes flashed, "She doesn't wish to come back..."
"Tell her it is the only way to save her son from a life of revenge, she must choose to save him, only her word will sway her son's mind!" I said desperately.
Shenron's pupil-less gaze just stared at me for a minute.
"She accepts."
In a flash of light, Muezli came into existence in front of me. She had beautiful mint green hair in a ponytail and a lock that remained on the left side of her face. Her left eye matched her hair and her right eye was a large red pupil that covered the iris and just had a black ring against the white sclera.
She was breathing heavily, getting used to having a body again. I walked up and offered a hand to her while she grasped at her heart. Her clothes were new, but I could tell she had phantom pain from her death.
"Hello Muezli, I am Bardock's granddaughter, Chiyo," I tried to put a soft smile on my face, but my concern for her overwhelmed it as she about cried.
"Y-you really can save him?" She didn't care who I was...of course, why would she. I told her I could save her son, so I best get to it.
"Not without you."
She nodded.
I held out a senzu bean for her to eat, "This will make you feel better and full. Please eat it."
"Bardock's granddaughter?"
I nodded with a smile.
She ate the bean and immediately relaxed a bit, her tenseness easing.
"Wow, was that a magic bean or something?"
"Yes, exactly that," I said.
I heard a sigh loud enough to shake the planet.
"Thank you for waiting, Shenron. I will be right with you," I said pleadingly.
"HURRY UP!"
I growled, "I AM TRYING TO HELP THIS WOMAN, JUST GIVE ME A SECOND!"
The huge dragon recoiled a bit at that...I might have accidentally let a bit of my divine ki slip.
"Okay, Muezli, I need you to be ready to calm Granola so he doesn't try to hurt anyone alright?"
She nodded.
"He thinks that Bardock killed you, instead of the Heeter named Elec."
"I see, well I will make sure he knows the truth!" Her eye's looked over and saw my dad, "Bardock?"
Goku looked confused, "Bar-who?" My dad asked curiously.
"It's your dad's name, Bardock, your mom's name was Gine, they were great people," I said to my dad.
"Bardock and Gine..." My dad said while looking lost in thought.
"He is Bardock's son, Goku, my father," I told Muezli.
She smiled and nodded, "Bardock was a good man, despite the situation he was in."
"He was," I agreed. "But he was still a slave to Frieza like the rest of the Saiyans were. We are free now."
"Great, here we go then."
"Shenron, I wish for you to bring the Cerealian named Granola and all of his belongings, The Namekian named Monaito and all of his belongings including his dragon balls, to this location," I worded carefully.
It was then that I felt Krillin's Ki spike way off into the distance at the Z Force Campus, I guess it worked well.
I admit that while I was testing my power to interact with Spirit Spaces, I also needed Humanity to have a top champion in power. They needed an A-rank Guardian. Krillin was already the strongest human by miles and the Androids didn't count, but getting him to be at their power levels might be a bit much. I wanted to see what happens to a full human that had his potential unlocked without the ability to fall back on Saiyan genes.
I feel bad for testing things on my friend, though I took solace in the fact that he will hopefully get stronger than he has been in a long time. Checking his Spirit Space out after the unlocking of his potential will also give me some guidance on how to help others unlock their potential without the help of an Eternal Dragon.
Another flash of light and a small Namekian-style house appeared in front of us. Dishes clattered and two people screamed in shock from the inside. A single dragon ball of a different sort landed on the ground next to the house. I think one was inside and the other is right here...I threw a capsule at it and walked up and grabbed it.
I cringed as the people in the house screamed in shock after being teleported.
"THERE, I WILL BE GONE THEN!" Shenron yelled and disappeared.
"Thank you for your help Shen- aaand he's gone."
Everyone but Vegeta, Muezli, and Piccolo left to chase the dragon balls.
"What is going on?" An angry male voice came from inside the house.
I held my arm up to Muezli as she wanted to step forward at the sound of her son's voice, "Just wait for now."
Eventually, Monaito and Granolah came out of the building looking around confusedly, until Granolah saw me. I was standing closest with his mom behind me and off to the left. He saw my tail, and my hair, then looked me dead in the eyes with a face of disgust.
"A Saiyan?!" Granolah said.
"Granolah?"
"M-mom?"
"It's me Granolah!" Muezli ran forward and I smiled... a child meeting with their long-lost mom is always amazing to see.
They hugged for a minute and everyone watched in silence and there was definitely something in both my eyes...yup, not crying.
Granolah finally turned, he glared from his left eye as his right was covered with the AI named Oatmeel, "Now then, you will pay Saiyan...there are more of you."
"No! Granolah, wait. These brought me back, brought us back. Please just listen to her before anything. She only wants peace," Muezli begged of him.
"Mom! How can you say that!? Saiyan's killed you! They destroyed our world! OUR RACE! We are all but gone now..." Granolah said, his voice sad and lonely.
I spoke up, "Granolah, it was not Bardock the Saiyan that killed your mother...it was the Heeter Elec."
Granolah immediately stared at me, his revulsion of even looking at a Saiyan was hard to look at, "LIAR! The Heeters have been trying to get revenge on Frieza! I was there! The Saiyan attacked me...then killed my mother!"
"That isn't what happened, Monaito knocked you out to try and prevent the Heeters from hearing you-"
"SHUT UP! YOU LIE! I WAS THERE!"
"Granolah, please! It is true what she says, I don't know how she knows this but Elec...he...he shot me with a pistol. Right through my heart," Muezli said. Her emotions were overflowing and she was openly weeping while trying to calm Granolah down. "There is no way!"
Monaito, who had been looking at Piccolo curiously finally snapped out of it, "Please, young Granolah...it is true."
That stopped his rage...it seemed to pause his anger before he ignited once again, "YOU LIED THEN? You are truly saying that Elec killed her! AND YOU LET ME WORK FOR THEM?!"
Monaito looked down, "I thought it was the only way we could survive...those Heeters are strong, it would bring about our deaths. I couldn't let you die my boy, I am sorry."
Granolah looked ready to attack him, the presence of his mom, the constant contact she kept with him was his only restraint.
"It is true that Saiyans did destroy your race for Frieza. They used to be his weapons to take over worlds," I began, his gaze snapped to me with fury, but I trudged on. "Frieza would then sell those worlds and send the Saiyans onto the next to do it again. They were only slaves then and now we have changed, we are protectors now."
I felt Vegeta's anger rise through his aura and I know that while my statement wasn't exactly correct, it wasn't exactly wrong either.
He just stared at me before looking down and a primal scream built from deep within his chest, "UuuaaaaaAAAAAAHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
He roared into the day, his frustration at the wall of information, the lies of his mentor and employers...it was too much for him to handle.
Granolah was breathing hard, bent over, anger and tears both flowing from him equally. Just feeling his power level right now, it is much below a Super Saiyan, but stronger than Yamcha and Krillin's old power level. Maybe close to 18's power level. It is of course hard to gauge the Androids, but they are extremely strong compared to any Ki-using human.
"I know my Nolah, I know, it is hard to accept," Muezli was still crying by holding Granolah and trying to comfort him.
"My whole life is a lie."
That was all he had to say, but at least he isn't trying to kill us.
I had the time to ask Monaito to grab something for me and he handed the scanner over with no trouble needed.
"Chiyo...I would much rather be training right now..." Goku said.
I smiled, "Dad, I promised this will make you stronger, just give Bulma a second here...she is a master with Saiyan tech."
He seemed skeptical, "But Chiyo, scanners are strong enough to scan our power, how is that going to make us stronger?"
"Dad, we aren't trying to scan your power, there is something on here that you need to hear, something that will make you remember your parents. It is important, I promise."
"Yeah, just give it a second Goku, I almost got it..." Bulma said, typing quickly at the keyboard connected to the scanner.
"You see, this is your dad's scanner, it was left with Monaito and it has his voice on it. I think you should hear it," I told him.
That drew his curiosity enough, but he was still confused, "How will that make me stronger?"
"Dad, you don't have your Saiyan memories, you never understood Vegeta's pride or anything about being a Saiyan...cause you don't remember."
He just looked at me with a thoughtful look on his face.
A stern and distressed voice came over the computer speakers, "Monaito! Use this chance to get as far away as you can!"
My dad's eyes snapped over to the source and listened intently, "I'll slow Gas down. Listen to me...you two have to stay alive."
That triggered something in my dad's memory, his Ki spike and his aura flared, becoming erratic.
The last words Bardock ever said to his son were, "You have to stay alive."
I know the image my dad was seeing, both Bardock and Gine's faces, deep lines of stress and dirt marred both of them. Gine looked worried, but Bardock smiled as he spoke.
I know this will make my dad stronger, pride is an essential part of a Saiyan's power. We look at Vegeta who talks about Saiyan Pride, but no one understands its importance.
Having Pride is having total faith in one's power. It is a specific and important key to Saiyan strength...something I understand in concept but not the application.
We had given the two Cerealeans a nice place at the Z Force Campus, much of the staff lived there and even Tien and Chiaotzu's house was next door...by design. They were being indirectly monitored in the hopes that he doesn't destroy anything. Monaito had been invited to the Lookout by Piccolo and he graciously accepted, taking his one dragon ball, I kept the other in a Capsule.
I received the message I had been expecting, Oatmeel, Granolah's AI companion had broken through our firewalls at around midnight. I gave them the all-clear to let the AI search things, including our mission logs, and guardian dossiers.
They also accessed the classified things which include documents on the Dragon Balls, the history of the Saiyans, and snippets of the Heeter's plan to use all of us as sheep to take over Frieza's Empire.
The Saiyan history was something I added the other day to give them our example, it held estimations of the total casualties caused by Saiyans and their Oozaru rampaging forms. I had a number in the tens of trillions.
The history went on to describe how the Saiyans had eventually made their way to earth, and how we were now needed against threats like the Heeters, Moro, and the Tournament of Power. Everything they looked at was monitored and the second I felt like he had all he needed I used Instant Transmission to pop into existence floating above their house. Floating down I knocked on the door loud enough for him to hear. Muezli seemed to remain sleeping as Granolah's aura remained calm.
I could feel Granolah slowly walking to the door and I tried not to smile as he did so, having Ki senses was totally cheating.
He hesitated so I just spoke, "Granolah, have you and Oatmeel found everything you have been looking for yet?"
The silence was thick, but his aura spiked, he definitely heard me.
He finally sighed and opened the door. I tried not to look down at the shirtless Cerealean and shook that image from my mind as best as possible. He had Oatmeel on his head and his one red eye stared at me like a target through a scope.
"Good morning, I do hope you are done going through our files then?"
"Why? Got things to hide?"
"We let you go through all of our main secrets, I don't need you going into the personal files or medical history of our employees. I let you see everything else though," letting the silence hang for a minute as he seemed to measure my words was the right call.
"So you aren't evil people now...that doesn't change what happened," He snarled to himself, "You all ruined my life, my family, and my planet."
I nodded, "Frieza did the same to us, but we bounced back. We are working together to make sure that doesn't happen anymore...Will you walk with me a bit? I wish to speak with you and not disturb your mother."
He just looked skeptical.
"I won't bite, I promise," I said, teasing him a bit.
He sighed, "Fine, give me a minute."
He closed the door in my face...fair enough. He said yes at least.
Finally, the door opened and he put on a shirt, scarf, and boots. He nodded at me and we walked off.
The grounds of the Z Force Campus were nice with arcing pathways and open gardens in between. The flowers had recently bloomed and the moonlight gave them a nice glow as we walked past.
I gathered my thoughts, walking for a few minutes before speaking, "I don't think your life is ruined."
"WHAT?!"
"Peace, I don't mean anything bad, I just mean that you have your mother, your friend Monaito, and Oatmeel. I know this isn't easy to hear, but you are not alone and while I might be a half-Saiyan, I am also half-Human," I spoke in a calm but clear voice.
We had stopped at his outburst and he stared at me as if rewinding my words.
"We are trying to repay our crimes to the universe, and while the amount of loss is unbelievable, the potential for good is just as powerful," I said.
"Potential for good, what sort of ridiculous shit are you spitting right now?" His anger flared and we didn't have his mother to calm him.
I had to play this right, "We have a lot to be worried about, more than just Frieza or the Heeters, more than just that. I mean universe destroyers, like the World Eater Moro or the Tournament of Power. If we are not strong enough this universe will be erased or destroyed."
He scoffed, "Okay, and how do you know that? Like you knew so much about me and my mom?"
"Didn't you read my Dossier?"
"I did...seer," He searched my eyes, "You are a seer?"
"In some ways I am, I can see a version of a similar timeline, the way things will pass without my intervention. Do you want to know what I saw?"
He stared at me, his heterochromia eyes staring as if trying to see my soul.
"Tsch, I don't get it, my mom cares that you are Bardock's grandkid or whatever, but that monster was destroying our planet before he tried to save her...That doesn't make up for the thousands of lives he killed. MY PEOPLE!"
I looked down but nodded, "You are correct, I am not trying to paint my grandfather as some good person when I know he is in hell for a reason."
He looked confused but I didn't elaborate, "I am only trying to stop you from following the Heeter's they will strike out at anyone in a bid to take over Frieza's Empire. I can't let that happen...he is a sociopath who has been planning on your death for a long time."
"So you plan to turn me against him?"
"No, I plan to stop any of this from happening, that starts with saving you from a path of revenge, both against my family as Saiyans and even his. It will ruin your life," I pleaded.
"WHY DO YOU CARE?"
"It's not that I do care, I just can help. Gas... is the strong one. Elec even uses him to death just to kill Frieza, it didn't work and Gas died."
"In your vision or whatever?"
"That's right, in my vision-"
He visibly shook in anger, my words were frustrating him for a multitude of reasons, but they still needed to be said.
"I don't know whether I should hate you more for being saiyan, using my mother against me, or the fact that you are right about the Heeters betraying me."
I raised an eyebrow at that but didn't say anything else.
He shook his head, "You can turn into one of those monsters too...with that thing on your ass?"
I narrowed my eyes at me, "Watch your words Cereal boy, I am willing to be nice, but don't think that means I'll let you trash talk my tail."
He stepped back at that but used it as a spark, "YOUR-
I cut him off, "I AM NOT THEM! I am a Princess of this world and I use my power to save people."
His turn to narrow his eyes, "And Majin Buu?"
A wave of guilt swept over me.
"That clearly wasn't this planet, but you let that blast out didn't you? You killed him?"
"I did," I said with finality, it didn't feel good at all, but lying here would get me nowhere.
He looked satisfied, "So you are no better-"
"NO BETTER? I killed one, one who had literally killed and eaten God's, Kai's. He would have wiped most of my new planet out and that would have been under MY watch. I am not a perfect person, nor am I pretending to be. But I will do what I can to save my family, friends, and fellow inhabitants of the Dragon World," I said with force.
His permanent scowl stayed on his face.
"I cannot make you quit your path of revenge, I can only tell you what I see. Will you let me tell you?"
He started walking, "Fine."
I told the story as best as I could, I told him of the dragon balls and how we brought him here with our own set. I told him how he gives his life for a lie and how it would end for him. He looked curiously at the dragon ball stuff, but he didn't know I had the second in Monaitos set secure in a capsule.
It was then that we got to a point where the huge fighting arena was our main focus. I could feel Krillin inside training, and since it was nearly 2 am, the constant bursts of light were amazing to watch as they reflected upon the few clouds in the night sky.
"What is that?"
"That is one of our Guardians, come, I'll show you the arena."
"Guardians?"
"I told you that I run a defense organization...didn't I?"
"You said you protect people."
"Oh, well...I do but I also run an organization called the Z Force. We protect not only our world, the Dragon World but also our Universe. Sort of an example of both extremes but that is the best description."
He just shook his head but followed, Oatmeel had remained strangely quiet, or only speaking with him silently. Maybe the AI was letting him handle the speaking.
I had forgotten about my first wish...Krillin's full potential is unlocked. He was training now and as I led Granolah through the Arena I was shocked at the power Krillin was outputting.
We went to the observation room and watched as Krillin stood in some crazy new form.
He looked the same but had a glowing halo of golden light behind his head, the eight stars on his forehead were also a blazing golden color. His eyes were pupil-less and the same glowing light of his halo.
As he moved, a different colored light followed his hands and feet. The blue light of the Turtle School's Ki-condensing technique flowed around him like the waves it was made after.
Every strike releases a wave of blue light, and every kick unleashed an arc of blue power.
"Wow...he is strong."
I nodded, "He is the strongest full human, Krillin."
"So, you protect people here?"
"We aren't bounty hunters if that is what you mean."
"Tsch, nothing wrong with that..."
"Nothing wrong with being a bounty hunter, just who you decided to work for..."
"I didn't know...and Monaito lied about it...how could I have known."
"You couldn't have...that is why you needed help," I said with finality.
I felt his fiery gaze on me but he didn't say anything.
"These dragon balls...why don't you bring your precious Saiyans back?"
I snorted, "That is the last thing anyone needs...no, Vegeta said it best...let the past be the past and only work towards the future."
"But-"
"But nothing, your mom only agreed to come back to help you. If she didn't I think we would have been fighting already."
His anger didn't relent, "I feel so angry..."
I nodded, "You have been lied to your whole life, of course, you would be angry."
"You think you understand how I feel? How my life is?"
"I never said that...I just said that it makes sense...I wouldn't be able to comprehend anything else."
"Like my memories of your race destroying my planet? The sounds of thousands screaming as giant monsters devoured, smashed, and tore through our lives?!"
It feels like he needs to say this so I just let him speak.
"I haven't been able to properly sleep 40 years...I have willingly kidnapped hundreds for a madman that killed my MOTHER! DAMMIT!"
Tears came out of his eyes and my heart broke a bit at his pain, I could feel it in his Ki.
"Come, you have a lot of anger, let's spar for a bit."
He growled but followed anyways.
We made it to one of the smaller rooms, leaving Krillin and his new-wave dance stuff.
"So...you just want me to attack you?"
I nodded, "Yeah, a good workout is in order, lose the scarf so you don't sweat on it."
"Don't tell me what to do."
"You got it."
He put the scarf in the corner.
He rushed at me with surprising speed, but I was ready to defend. I blocked his first few strikes, but they were extremely well aimed...sternum, rib, clavicle, joints, neck, eyes. He kept coming and his power level steadily rose.
I matched exactly 25% higher than him in case he wanted to injure me.
"You can only block then, or-" I cut him off with a solid punch to his gut.
"You asked for it."
He spluttered on his knees, fury pouring from him, "AHHHHHH!" He yelled before engaging in a full series of chops, punches, and kicks. He was trained to some degree but just didn't have the power to back him.
His attacks were precise and I got the feeling that he was trying to grab or cut my tail.
"You will only receive one warning, you touch my tail and I put a serious hurt on you."
"OH yeah?! Like Majin Buu?"
"Worse."
"What?"
"Look, Granolah, I am happy to spar with you, but it is a personal thing...just please respect my tail and do not touch it, it's...private," My blush was furious and I think he realized something as he also blushed.
"Oh."
"You better not touch her tail Granolah!" Oatmeel said from his forehead.
"Oatmeel...what?"
"Seems like you have smart AI there, you should be thankful she is so smart," I said imperiously.
The fight continued after he moved past the conversation. This time I could sense him building up power in his right hand, his pointer and middle fingers extended to snipe me after he built enough power.
To compensate for his main hand being hidden he started to throw unstable roundhouses and wild off-handed swings that I had to block just so I could let him attack me with his snipe. Trying to help people can be frustrating.
"Fine then, you are so strong then take this!"
I did the classic move of dropping my arms to my side and closing my eyes to take the hit. I didn't wear any of my favorite clothes here knowing that fighting was on the table.
The impact hurt. He hit me directly in my sternum and it knocked the wind out of me.
I wasn't wielding Divine Ki and he has a great eye for weak spots. I felt blood cough up into my mouth from the attack.
Waiting on healing felt like the right move to see if any more attacks were incoming.
Sitting up I looked at him...I might have put a more vulnerable face than I meant to as he reacted with a step back in shock.
"Ah-ah-are you alright?" He asked, "I didn't think I could hurt you."
I wiped blood and cleared my throat, "I'm fine...just give me a second to heal."
Activating my heal a silvery-green light covered my torn-up sternum. The blood didn't go away, but my wound closed.
It was above my boobs and I still had Bulma's incredibly strong sports bra so I was fine there. I ripped the remains of my Gi off and stood.
"Alright, then. It's on now."
"Uhhh...sh-shouldn't you cover up?"
I looked at him with confusion, "It's just a bra, get over it, let's fight!" I rushed at him and pulled my spirit clones out to attack from all sides.
I guess I need to get a little payback.
A few days later and Granolah had finally calmed enough to go see Monaito. I offered to take him and Muezli over there since they can't fly.
They both agreed and I teleported them over to the Lookout. Monaito was having tea with Piccolo, Dende, and Mr. Popo. Granolah made eye contact with him and scowled, but his mom smiled and waved.
"Monaito! It is good to see you!"
Greetings all around were had and I let them speak. I had tea with everyone else while Muezli bounced back and forth. Eventually, Granolah forgave Monaito after he had said what he had to say.
Granolah was full of anger though and I only had one option to help.
"So, if I could offer something..." I led on.
Muezli, who had been smiling widely after her son forgave their old friend turned to me curiously, "Sure, Chiyo. You have helped so much already, what do you have?"
"Well, if we had the dragon balls to summon Monaito's eternal dragon...would you let me call the wishes?" This was a trap for them, I want them to assume the worst from the start so I can present my easier ideas to them.
Granolah walked right into my trap, "What?! So you can wish for some wealth or something?"
I just raised my eyebrow while holding back my smirk, "None of my wishes are directly for me."
He scoffed, "And you expect me to believe that?"
"I haven't lied to you Granolah, I will tell you what they are."
"What are they then?"
"I would bring Elec's company of Heeter's here to be arrested for his many attempts at universal domination. The amount of distress his gang has caused under Frieza and since is enough for the Galactic Patrol to have them on record. If not then they will be released. That will be my second wish. My first wish is for a set of chains that can suppress the magic of Moro the world eater. I don't know if it is possible but I will ask for them."
He looked confused as did everyone else.
"You know of my abilities as a seer. It is how I knew to try and save Granolah from a life of pointless revenge. It is how I will stop Moro from consuming our universe," I shrugged.
Monaito just shook his head, "Even if those wishes, which seem extremely dangerous I might add, were possible...we don't have the second dragon ball!"
He pulled out his one-star dragon ball, much smaller than Dende's set, about the size of a marble.
"I have the two-star dragon ball that will enable us to summon the Eternal Dragon Toronbo."
Granolah looked like he was going to blow a fuse, "And just how do you have that...Chiyo..."
He said my name like it was a disgusting thing to say.
"I am a seer...I included it in the wish to bring you here..." I explained.
"Why shouldn't I just wish us back to our home world?"
"You can, but I am asking for your help to take down Elec and the rest of his Heeters. I know this is hard to do, but I am asking you to trust a Saiyan...one that you attacked by the way," I said the last part casually, but his mom heard.
"WHAT? GRAN-O-LAH!? YOU MOST CERTAINLY DID NOT HIT A YOUNG LADY!" Muezli grabbed Granolah by the ear and I laughed as his anger broke and he cringed from the assault from his mother.
Either way, he finally agreed to help with the wishes.
I used Instant Transmission to get us all back to the Z Guardian campus. We spent an hour going over plans and I brought out the Dragon Balls as we moved everyone to the Desert. We had drones for people to watch from the campus, like Muezli and Monaito. The Heeters are cruel enough to target others.
The plan was in place, the Z Force was ready to take on the next threat.
"Eternal Dragon Toronbo, by your name I summon you forth!"
The stream of light was different... a cerulean blue, but the immediate flash was still gold. The sky went dark as usual and the blue light coalesced into the form of Toronbo. He looked much different from Porunga and Shenron, a series of blue frills surrounded the sleek head with red eyes.
It was still an intimidating sight.
"You have two wishes...what are they?"
"I wish for a set of magic-suppressing chains," I said, not wasting any time.
His eyes flashed and a ball of chains, about the size of a basketball, landed on the ground with a thud.
"Throw this ball at who you wish to cover...the chains will stop any magic it touches," Toronbo explained.
I nodded and threw them into a Capsule.
"I wish to bring Elec and his Heeter's here, asteroid ship included."
"Done...Until next time," Toronbo was actually kind of nice as far as Eternal Dragons go. Trunks and Goten flew off in different directions, they would catch up to the dragon balls soon enough.
A massive asteroid with a palace on top landed on the ground with a huge smash. The asteroid was probably 50 meters in diameter, roughly spherical, with another 35 meters of the palace above it. The structure tilted slightly, but enough to make it look uncomfortable to walk through.
We had 4 people that needed to be captured, Elec, Gas, Macki, and Oil. I could sense 9 people, but Gas was the only strong one with Oil and Macki at about half his strength.
They were all confused so I decided to knock.
I launched a few small Ki blasts from a finger, striking the side of the big rock, "Knock, knock!"
"Chiyo...that's mean!" Gohan said, I could feel amusement through our bond though.
Granolah snorted at that, "They deserve it..."
Soon enough the four made it out, Elec, the leader, had a nice red and gold cloak with the golden 'H' for Heeters on the left. He had a gross goatee and a cruel smile. It was obvious he was mad, but he immediately recognized Granolah. Maybe that is why he felt like he had an in, giving him the confidence to act as such.
Next to him was the small form of Gas. He had the odd circlet with fangs on his head that holds his true nature at bay. He didn't look strong, but his power level was high enough to be a worldwide threat.
Macki was a cute blue girl that held a fake smile with poorly hidden cruelty. Oil was a brute of a man that had huge lips and didn't look or seem very smart.
"What an introduction, thank you Granolah, it seems you found a lady saiyan...and here I thought they were all wiped out," Elec said.
"Shut up...you bastard!" Granolah screamed with a pained look on his face.
"Now," Was all that needed to be said...the plan went into action.
Gohan and I rushed at insane speeds as if to take down Macki and Oil. When Gas stepped forward we both turned on him and grabbed him.
Elec didn't even have the time to react as I used Instant Transmission to get Gas over to the planet that had been reformed by the Kai's with my asking. The same planet where I killed Buu.
The same planet where my father, Vegeta, and 17 all waited.
Gas tried to swing at Gohan and me but we just dodged with smirks.
"WHAT IS THIS!?" Gas yelled.
Neither of us responded.
17 stepped forward.
"It appears 17 won the pre-fight argument," Gohan said.
I laughed as my twin and I were thinking the same thing, "I guess so..."
"Your fight is with me," 17 said with a narrowed gaze.
"My fight? Where are we? Where is Elec?!" Gas was getting mad.
"It doesn't matter. Let's go!"
17 waited no more, he launched three guided Ki strikes at Gas, who finally got it together and shook off his confusion at the sudden teleport. Gas dodged the first one but the second and third both hit. They had tremendous force behind them, Gas getting launched back with the hits.
Gas snarled and a pink aura came to life around him. 17 didn't care as he appeared in front of the smaller Gas with a massive uppercut. It stopped Gas's power up and sent him flying into the sky.
17 wasted no time sledgehammering him back into the ground. He then began blasting constant Kiai waves that destroyed the entire area.
Gas finally got up and started growling as his pink energy came forth and he threw a summoned handaxe at 17, but one of his classic bubble shields stopped it with no problem.
17 had a calm face, completely unfazed as usual. This was something we had accepted as who he was over the last year of training and working with him. It was hard to shake him, he was so level-headed that it takes something drastic to get him to show much more than indifference in any situation.
18 was also like that, but she was more regal and like everything was beneath her. 17 just didn't care about anything outside of his interests, and it showed.
Gas raged and even launched attacks at my Dad and Vegeta, "Whoa, there!" Goku said while Vegeta just laughed at the attack.
"I think they have this...let's go secure the rest of the people on Earth," Gohan said.
I nodded, wanting to continue watching the fight, but I just put my hand on Gohan's shoulder and he used Instant Transmission to get us back to Earth.
17 felt good.
He had chosen to put his number in with the S-Classers, and he would not back down. Especially not from some weird angry kid.
Chiyo had fully confirmed that Gas was not, in fact, a child. But 17 just assumed cultural differences didn't matter if you are throwing a temper tantrum.
17 continued his onslaught, why would he even give this enemy a chance to attack back?
Those ethereal weapons were extremely strong...but they just lacked any threat at a range.
Gas had closed the distance once, coming at him with an odd pitchfork and a swordstaff. They were stopped by his Android Barrier.
It can take a hell of a beating, and these weapons...or farmer tools weren't enough.
17 decided to be the kid in melee, just to push himself. They traded blows and the fuel kid wasn't bad, but his anger was making him sloppy.
17 deflected a wide series of swipes as Gas pivoted in with a swordstaff. 17 prevented Gas from forming another weapon as he smashed his right arm back and connected to Gas's chest with an open palm and he released a Kiai wave through the Heeter's chest.
Gas was launched back and rolled a few times, connecting to a large boulder. The cracked boulder was enough to stop him, but 17 followed up with an accelerated kick to his head.
It knocked the small circlet with fangs off of Gas's head.
His eyes went wide and he began to ignore 17's attacks as he stood up and screamed.
This entire fight had been a beat down. 17 didn't relent long enough to take any serious damage and the nearly 2 and a half minutes of continuous combat had been completely one-sided.
But then Gas's had the circlet, the one thing that restrained his true nature as a Heeter, knocked off his head.
Gas exploded in fury and his true nature was unleashed.
Pink Ki and Magic blasted out from him in all directions, destroying the ground and knocking back 17. Gas rocketed over to 17 and slashed him with swordstaff conjuration, tearing a bloody rent along 17's side. The assault didn't quit, Gas's weapons were more damaging, solid, and powerful.
17 was left ragged after a quick exchange in which Gas's true nature took over.
"Can I have a go, 17?" Goku asked from above him as he lay in the crater his body formed.
17's eyes narrowed, "Wait your turn."
17 got up for round 2.
Gohan and I appeared floating in the air as a couple of battles were progressing.
I noticed that Yamu and Ivan (formally Spopovich), now both official C Rank Z Guardians, had accomplished their goal of clearing the meteor. They had the other Ki signatures in a small line, all handcuffed, outside the meteor palace.
Krillin was currently engaged with Oil, the larger Heeter who was less clumsy than he looked. Krillin didn't seem to be having any trouble with him but was letting the Heeter push him a bit.
!8 was casually engaging Macki, the only female Heeter, in a...lazy fight? 18 looked bored as she blocked attacks and returned with casual strikes. They were more effective and Macki had yet to push her in the slightest.
Those were calm fights, but Elec and Granolah weren't fighting. There was only Granolah standing over a defeated Elec, right hand with two fingers extended at him while charging a Ki blast. Elec's gun was in pieces off to the side and he was looking at Granolah with an emotion that didn't look comfortable on his face, he was terrified.
"OIL, MACKI! HELP ME!" Elec screamed.
"YOU KILLED HER! YOU DESERVE TO DIE!" Granolah yelled, ignoring anyone else.
Oil tried to break from Krillin but he countered and sent him flying in the other direction, 18 just appeared in front of Macki and sent her flying away with a kick.
I wasted no time and activated my own Instant Transmission, appearing between Granolah and Elec, "Granolah..."
"MOVE SAIYAN!"
I stared hard at him, right now he had enough power in his fingers that he could kill me in my base form. I decided to stay in a low-power state for now. I have to try to stop him.
"Please Granolah...you don't have to live for revenge, it will feel no better if you do this," I put enough Ki into my voice so it carried to him, despite the loud combat happening all around.
"YOU SAID I COULD DO THIS! Why try to stop me now!"
"I only want to help you," I felt a weird tightness in my back as a small red light flew off.
Granolah's face dropped from rage and was slowly changing into horror.
I was confused as the world began to tilt.
"Wha-" My legs gave out and I fell to my knees.
I didn't feel pain, but I was weak...did someone have a Ki-draining attack?
Looking down there was a large hole in my chest but everything seemed fine-wait...a large hole?
I double-checked again as I hit the dirt, and it was definitely my blood...what is happening? Did Granolah attack me? No, it came from behind...
"CHIIYYYYOOOOOOOO-" Someone called for me in slow motion.
"I don't understand-" Darkness swallowed me.
Granolah watched this crazy Saiyan, the one who Oatmeel had enjoyed for some reason, step in front of him...to defend Elec?
He yelled at her about trying to prevent his rage, Granolah knew the real monster that Elec was. Now that he knew the truth of the matter...the lying bastard deserved death.
Chiyo had given him this opportunity and Granolah felt confused as he saw this lunatic jump in front of him.
"I only want to help you," the stupid Saiyan and her evil pretty face said.
Then he saw the laser shot blow a hole in her chest, her blood splattering across his face.
Granolah watched in horror as the girl who had been trying to save him...fell over dead. Elec reaping yet another person from his life.
"NNOOOOOOOOO!" Granolah turned back to Elec who was smirking evilly.
"She thought she could do what she wants and get away with it?" Elec was about to start a rant.
Granolah only felt rage as he stepped forward and unleashed the largest attack he had ever used.
The beam of Ki pierced through Elec's upper chest before expanding, evaporating his head. Elec's arms fell to the ground with no torso as support.
Gohan was watching his sister do her thing, her plan seemed to go perfectly well so far. She was as calm and regal as ever, standing between someone about to head down a dark path.
Gohan felt a small amount of guilt in his chest, since he had been married to Videl, he hadn't been spending as much time with the family, with his sister. The bond with his twin was still there, strong as ever. Every morning she would still send three waves of greeting to him. It was a sort of morning routine.
Three waves of happiness, each one arriving in his mind and spirit as a distant hug from his sister.
She did it every day.
He shook his head from his thoughts as he was getting ready to help in case Granolah went nuts.
There wasn't a sound, but a small red laser flew through Chiyo's heart, bursting out the front of her chest.
Gohan didn't register it until his bond with her was nearly torn in two, waves of horror and confusion, regret and sadness, and terror and longingness all came flooding through the bond. But it was still in three waves, that broke his mind.
"CHIIIYYYYOOOOOOOOO-" He screamed. "EEUUUUAAHHHHHHHH!" Gohan continued to scream, red Ki lightning formed around him, and his power reached untold heights.
The many avatars of his spirit united in a storm of absolute rage. The Earth shook as Gohan's sources all became one.
Gohan's hair grew longer than it ever had before as it turned silver. His eyes flashed a solid white, pupils disappearing until the inner fury showed itself. Swirld orbs of pure red rage came forth. His aura seemed to bend reality around him, red lightning backed by purple, blue, and red lights directly around him, surrounded by a sharp silver sheathe of firey power. The lightning grew more powerful and destructive as his power kept rising.
Gohan was still screaming as he arrived at his sister. Tears fell from his eyes he grabbed her body without thinking and teleported to Dende.
"DENDE!"
"I got her Gohan," Dende said, but he already knew it was too late. Her heart burst, her Ki was gone.
Gohan couldn't watch. There was one person on who he could release his rage. He felt the aura on that twice-cursed planet where Chiyo killed Buu, that was his target now.
Gohan appeared between 17 and Gas, his breath heavy with rage as he growled.
Gas took a step back at the sudden arrival of a tower of silver and red rage.
Gohan looked at the Heeter and screamed, "AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!"
He appeared in front of Gas, grabbing his face and launching him into the air.
Gohan vanished, leaving a crater the size of a football field, 17 was sent flying after creating a bubble shield to protect against Gohan's aura.
Gas had enough time to see a large silver star appear in front of him before it punched him.
Gohan had been practicing his spirit control, he now stood 20 feet tall with the gigantification technique. Gohan willed himself to collide with Gas and he put so much of his rage into his fist that he had a calm sense of serenity as his fist traveled with Gas back down to the surface.
He couldn't stop himself now, but it was almost enough power spent to give him this odd feeling of timelessness. He watched the world approach, filling all of his vision, his right fist pushed forward further and he fully let the floodgates open.
The world burst, Gas was nothing but space dust by the time Gohan's fist impacted the planet. The planet followed as Gohan continued through it.
He could feel his Ki reaching like roots through the dirt, except it was in less than a millisecond.
This horrible planet that was the source of so much of his sister's guilt exploded with a single punch from Gohan, the side of the planet his fist hit almost instantly colliding with the inside of the other side of the planet.
Goku felt something strange, a source of power that eclipsed everything he had ever felt before. He strained his senses to feel that it was Gohan, but it wasn't a normal version of Gohan. Something was wrong.
He could feel it now, Gohan moving around the earth, and then...Gohan flashed into existence between the two fighters.
Vegeta reacted next to him, "WHAT IS THIS POWER?"
But Goku had a hard look in his eye as Gohan screamed in a primal fury that he hadn't heard since the Cell Games. Reality shifted as Gohan left a massive crater from the force of his departure.
Goku had enough sense to chase after 17, Gohan was going to destroy this whole area.
"He's going to destroy the planet with that power level!" Vegeta yelled as he looked up at Gohan.
"VEGETA WE NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE!" Goku yelled.
Vegeta knew he would stay to witness this.
Gohan's massive form instantly wiped Gas out, but he kept the swing of his fist going as if his normal punch could travel miles.
The planet immediately imploded, lava bursting from the far side as its magnetic field, core, and atmosphere shattered.
Goku was worried as he grabbed the nearly unconscious 17, "VEGETA, WE NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE!"
Vegeta watched the planet explode before flying over and putting his hand on Goku's shoulder.
Goku took them back to Earth, knowing that Gohan was still conscious and furious enough that he could come back on his own.
The scene that they arrived at was not what he expected, the meteor had been shattered, but that wasn't the biggest feature...a new hole that could fit the Z Force Arena in it was there.
The fighting had stopped, Krilin and 18 handcuffing a beat-up Oil and Macki. They had tears coming from their eyes.
Goku looked around, no Elec...Granolah was unconscious but alive, knocked away from the force of Gohan's travel.
King Kai's voice appeared in his mind, "Goku! Chiyo is at the Lookout...you need to get her to Namek...right now." He had rarely heard King Kai so somber.
Goku didn't respond, just put his fingers back on his head and brought 17 with him to the Lookout.
He would never forget the sight of his only daughter's lifeless eyes staring into the abyss.
17 stood up and walked over, but Goku just stared in horror as Dende tried to heal Chiyo's corpse.
Piccolo had arrived, not being able to stop Gohan or save Chiyo, "Goku!"
Dende looked up at Goku, "I-I am sorry, I tried, but she..." He didn't finish.
Goku closed his eyes, having witnessed the one thing no parent should.
He grabbed her in a fierce hug, the blood of no mind to him, "I will bring you back Chiyo, so don't get comfortable!"
I had the vague feeling of sitting in darkness, my mind in a sleep-like state. I don't know how much time passed, but finally, the rushing wind of my first new breath came hammering into my chest.
I felt like I had forgotten how to breathe and finally remembered that I needed to. I was stiff all through my body, making each breath a ragged gasp.
"Chiyo! Are you alright?" My brother sounded so worried.
"Give her a second Gohan, let her breathe!" My father sounded relieved.
I kept pulling in the air like it would slip away from me if I didn't hurry.
Opening my eyes I was in my dad's arms and my brother and Piccolo were watching me with masks of worry on their faces.
"Wha-what happened?" I barely managed to squeak out.
"You are safe now Chiyo, don't worry about what happened," My dad said.
I was confused but I nodded and leaned into him, "Dad, I am...Oh god...I'm covered in blood!"
"Hey, it's okay...calm down. It's alright," He calmed.
"Did..I..die?"
Goku just smiled helplessly, "Like father, like daughter?"
I couldn't help but snort out a laugh, snot, and tears running freely.
"I'm sorry," My emotions boiled over and spilled out. I couldn't stop the tears and guilt, why did I feel guilt for screwing up and dying?
"Who?" I asked finally.
"Elec..." Piccolo said, "He's gone now."
I looked around and recognized the flora from the images of New Namek I had stored in my memory.
"The Namekian dragon Balls? Porunga?"
"That is right, young one," An elderly voice said, and a Namekian that I recognized but couldn't remember the name of had walked forward.
"Chiyo, this is Grand Elder Moori, he brought the dragon balls together for us to save you," Piccolo said.
I nodded and with my dad's help, I got to my feet. I bowed respectfully, "Thank you for saving me, Grand Elder."
He smiled, "It is no trouble, my dear, just be sure to keep your eyes open next time, eh?"
I smiled back, "Thank you."
He nodded and waved Piccolo over, who somehow cleaned me, destroyed my old clothes, and Ki-forged a Namekian Martial Artist uniform. I could feel that I had a breast wrap on and decided not to comment on it, "OH, thank you."
We made it back to the Z Force campus, courtesy of my dad's Instant Transmission.
Immediately, the entire organization, and I mean everyone, stood and looked at me like they saw a Ghost.
"CHIYO!" Goten and Trunks flew at me and I nearly fell over with the impact. Both had been crying.
"Hey there little monsters," I smiled while hugging my two little brothers.
Thousands of questions seemed to fall across me like a wave before a spike of aura from Vegeta silenced everyone.
"ARE YOU DONE BEING A FOOL?"
I knew what he meant, but I still was hurt by the accusation.
"YOU WALK AROUND LIKE YOU HAVE EVERYTHING UNDER CONTROL, AND YOU LET A PISTOL KILL YOU!?" Vegeta screamed at me.
"Please not now..."
"Not now..." He said with disgust, "Only when YOU say then?"
"Why-"
"SHUT IT!"
"Vegeta gives her a break," Gohan said.
"YOU SHUT UP ALSO, BRAT! I am going to say what needs to be said, you walk around her with all the sight in the world and you still die to a pistol. How dare you say that you are preparing for the future when you let a weakling like that end you," Vegeta snarled.
I looked down in shame as he berated me in front of the entire Z Force, but he wasn't wrong. What the hell was I thinking leaving my power at such a low level and turning my back to an enemy?
"You go into a battle expecting to be untouched again, and I will personally take you down! DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR!?" Vegeta yelled.
I just gulped over a lump in my throat as I looked down at Trunks and Goten's heads, they were crying into my thighs and holding on for dear life.
"I won't let my guard down again."
"Tsch, brat." He flew off.
My mom just cried and hugged the life out of me, we had our own little crying session in which I promised to train extra hard to not let that happen again.
Gohan had been hovering near me the entire night, Videl keeping both of our company. I could feel his worry and he could feel my anxiety.
The night continued with my mom and Bulma serving food.
I had learned that Gohan destroyed a planet and killed Gas. He didn't care at all, but I still felt bad.
Granolah had ended up killing Elec anyways, but he said it was in direct retaliation, something about two out of the three women in his life dying. He was mad, sad, frustrated, and had all sorts of emotions, so he walked off early after making sure I was alright.
I needed to rethink my priorities. How can I save anyone if I am the one needing to be saved?
