Chapter 18 - Ascension

Goku and Vegeta had been on Beerus's world for a few weeks now, and I had increased my training so they didn't get too far ahead. Gohan had been joining me in the morning before he headed back to the Palace to run the world, our training sessions had been picking up their intensity.

"So, I hear you have been seeing someone?" Gohan asked after a sparring session.

"Where did you hear that from?"

"Your crazy emotions the other night..." Gohan asked with a laugh.

My cheeks ignited, but I didn't speak.

"You could have told me it was that...intense," Gohan said sheepishly.

"What could I have done? I made sure you guys were far away on your honeymoon, and I have been practicing the suppression of our bond because of that...I guess it got a bit out of hand the other day."

"Who was the lucky guy?" He asked.

I shook my head.

"Huh?" He asked again.

"It wasn't a guy, Gohan."

"Oh," He said but grew confused.

"Yeah...it isn't anything serious but we are having fun. Just don't say anything to mom...or anyone for that matter."

"I think Videl has an idea, but neither of us knows who..."

I snorted at that, "It's fine. I just don't want to hear anything from people...especially mom."

"Don't worry, your secret is safe with me, sis!" Gohan said.

I narrowed my eyes at him and he shoulder-bumped me, "Come on! Don't look at me like that! I am curious, but I won't push."

I scoffed, "Anyways, are you sure you want to fight in this upcoming universe...match?"

Gohan got serious again and thought about it, "I do. I don't like fighting, but it is part of my responsibility as the king. I have to be strong."

I stopped and took a long look at my brother, "You know, you have grown up a lot, Gohan."

He looked back at me with a great smile, "Well, I have a sister who pushes me to be stronger, a wife who pushes me to be better, and a daughter who has my heart in her hands. I don't know about growing up, but I have everything I love in my life, and losing it is out of the question."

"Also, a mom who loves you to pieces!"

"And a mom who has pushed me to try my hardest in life..." He paused, but I sensed that he had more to say.

"Chiyo, I know we haven't talked much about it, but when you died and the connection was temporarily cut between us...I have never felt so empty before," He looked down at his feet, his emotions turbulent.

We had stopped walking in the hallway from the heavy gravity room and I was looking at him as he continued.

"I will never forget the feeling of losing Dad, during the Cell Games. I learned what the cost of my mistakes is. I..." Tears came to the edges of his eyes, "I nearly lost you...I can't imagine doing so again."

I went in for a hug and he returned it, "I will get stronger too, I am so sorry Gohan." I didn't have much to say, he was just as sweaty as I was but it was one of the realest hugs I have ever had with my brother.

"Don't be sorry, I just don't want to feel that again and I don't want you to either."

I nodded at that.

We let the hug go and kept walking to the locker rooms. I finally spoke up again, "You know, I have always held a bit of anxiety about how easily you all accepted me and my...craziness those years ago."

He raised an eyebrow at me.

"I mean, our whole family is amazing and that goes for everyone in our group of friends. It's more that I just sort of appeared one day and none of you even hesitated to accept me. The first thing was open arms from Goten. Then you and our bond..."

"A large part of that is our bond."

"Oh?"

"If we both get the same from each other, and I wager that we do, then I know you better than you think. I shared my feelings about you with Mom and Dad."

I was surprised to hear that but realized I shouldn't be. I would have done the same. A thought that made me smile.

"Yeah, I know you have been stressed a lot recently, dealing with Beerus and Whis, but don't let your anxiety about any of that take over. We all accepted you as a part of our family, you are my twin and will be for the rest of our lives. No matter how long." He put his arm around my shoulder and squeezed me in a half hug, "Never feel like you aren't wanted or welcome."

"That means a lot Gohan...thank you."

I felt his genuine feelings for me through our bond, it was a mixture of sibling love, respect, comfort, and most importantly, trust.

I didn't hesitate in returning my feelings and Gohan and I grew a bit closer. I will always treasure our bond.

This memory will always be one of my most treasured. This put me in a fantastic mood the entire rest of the week.

On Beerus's world, Goku and Vegeta just removed the heavy training suits.

"Man, things are starting to get interesting now," Goku said.

"This competition is just a way point for me. What I am really after is the title of the top warrior. I plan to take them all down, Beerus, Champa, Whis, and Vados," Vegeta ranted.

"I guess neither of us wants to be runner-up to those guys. By the way, since there needs to be 5 of us on a team, who do you think Lord Beerus will pick to fill out the slots?"

Vegeta let out a trademark scoff, "It doesn't really matter, they won't get a chance to fight if I crush everyone on Universe 6's team myself."

"You can't have all the fun! That's it! I am calling it now! I am going to be the lead-off guy and fight first!" Goku said.

"Hey! Idiots! I might make it so neither of you go first if we don't get going right now!" Beerus yelled at them.

Whis spoke up with a challenge in his voice, "I bet the Princess would be a fine starting combatant before these two muscle heads anyways."

"WHAT!?" Vegeta yelled.

"Hey, I should just Instant Transmission us! Way faster..." Goku said, completely ignoring the rest of the conversations.

"That's fine with me," Beerus said.

They all put their hands on Goku when Whis spoke up, "Wait...I told Chiyo we would be a half hour!"

"Ah, it will be fine!" Goku said before locking onto Chiyo's Ki signature and disappearing with the three others in tow.

I wasn't sure the exact time for when the tournament between Universe 6 and 7 would officially take place, but I knew it had to be soon. My dad and Vegeta were gone for nearly six months and I was expecting them very soon.

I woke up in the massive bed my giant castle had, courtesy of Bulma's Bingo tournament on her birthday. Her father, Dr. Breifs, made this multi-setting castle out of boredom, but it turned out so well that he just furnished the thing with luxury items and technology and then gave it to Bulma.

The castle had three settings, one was just in its Capsule form, about the size of a house-shaped tennis ball. It is much larger than normal capsules since there are multiple dimensional pockets within it.

The second setting was the one on display at the party, which was a Tower with the master bedroom on top and a full living space throughout.

The final setting was the Palace Mode. It became a massive series of buildings with 30 rooms for guests, an obscene amount of toilets, an actual pool, water included, a huge courtyard, and even a beautiful wall that surrounds the entire thing.

The very top floor of the largest tower was the master bedroom. The massive circular bed was in the very center of the room with walls of soft white silks floating around it. The large glass skylight above the bed illuminated the room during the day and a simple press of a button would have the glass retract, revealing the night sky.

The bathroom was part of this massive room, but there were no walls or anything of the sort. Just open space. Even the shower just landed on some beautiful white and gold tiles with black accents.

I set it up deep in the mountains next to a beautiful lake we used to train at before moving to Capsule Corp. Looking out the window presented an awe-inspiring view of the lake followed by a valley that goes off to the east. The sun crawls across it every day, and I couldn't help but enjoy the view, no matter the time.

It was 10:00 AM on a Saturday, and Whis informed me that he was on his way to get a delicious brunch, arriving in a half hour or so. I had called my people at the Z Force Campus and they were already cooking up a feast. These instances where everyone was all hands on deck for the Destroyer and Whis were few and far between, but when they happened my employees were on it.

I put my phone down on the small floating nightstand next to my huge bed and sighed.

It was then that a slender arm snaked across my chest, "Do we have to get up?" Kiara's soft voice said.

I laughed lightly and kissed her forehead, "We have time to shower... Before I have to get ready for work."

"But it's Saturday?"

"You know I work a lot of Saturdays, and when Beerus or Whis come by I have to be the one to greet them. If not, Beerus could take offense and wipe us all out..."

She sighed, "Time for a shower you said?"

I smirked at my bodyguard/friend with benefits and picked her up.

"Don't step on my tail!" She said.

"Hey! I have one too, plus we aren't walking," I picked her up easily and began floating towards the showers.

She let out a small giggle and we landed lightly in the shower area. It was a waterfall shower so I stood off to the side and turned it own. The water got hot immediately and I pulled her into it.

She joined with a yelp and I kept pulling, all the way into a kiss. She had the softest lips and I wanted to mingle with them again.

"How much time do we have?" She asked.

"Not enough."

She smirked and showcased her strength. I might be an extremely powerful Saiyan, but I didn't weigh that much to a fellow Guardian.

She lifted me easily and I wrapped my legs around her. We let the water fall over us as our lips met again. The embrace turned extremely passionate and the rest of the world quickly fell away.

We kissed for a while then I heard a strange sound followed by, "Ahem...uhhh, Chiyo?"

I looked over to where four people were casually watching us make out. Kiara screamed and tried to cover us with her tails, but they were wet and not fluffy enough.

Lord Beerus and Vegeta were staring at us with mouths wide open. Whis had his hand over his lips and was looking away with a blush on his cheeks, I could almost hear him say, "Oh my!"

Then there was my dad...who openly stared at us with confusion...

"Ahem...Dad...can you please GET OUT OF HERE!?"

"Uhhhh, oh...alright!" He put his fingers on his forehead and they disappeared.

Kiara and I both had cheeks as red as a tomato.

"I guess we REALLY don't have any time..." Kiara said with a laugh.

"We have a bit of time."

I showed up at Bulma's about a half hour later, freshly showered and chin held high.

"Hey, Chiyo! Come get some food!" Goku said, seemingly not wanting to speak on the accident earlier.

"You know I sort of set up a huge buffet with dessert over at the Z Campus, so as soon as everyone is done here, we can get some snacks!"

"Oh wow!" Goku said.

"You really plan everything out don't you?" Beerus said while chewing.

"Everything? Definitely not. But I do have a good team in mind if you are interested..." I said while taking a seat. "No delivery men involved..."

His eyes narrowed at me before looking at Goku. But my dad was eating with his eyes closed so who knew if he was listening.

"And you think that you are more capable of forming a team than I am?"

"I wouldn't presume to be more capable at anything than you, Lord Beerus."

Whis laughed, "My, my princess Chiyo, you are so talented with your words."

I smiled lightly, "A destroyer deserves respect does he not?"

"He does indeed."

Beerus pretended to not be happy about my statement, but I saw his tells easily enough.

Whiskers were tough to control I guess.

"Well then, Chiyo, what will you do to ensure that..." Beerus looked over to Goku who had a bowl covering his face as he shoveled food into his mouth. "...there is proper motivation."

"Well, all I have to say is that my dad has never faced a being with the techniques we will face in five days," I said while looking over at my dad carefully. I didn't speak loud enough for him to hear though but still expected a response.

I cleared my throat, "Dad! There will be a man there who has been training to hone himself for a thousand years!"

His eyes went wide, but his mouth was full so food went flying as he spoke, "REALLY?!"

I tried my best not to cringe, but I even drew Vegeta's attention at my last statement.

"Yup! He is so talented that his technique and forms will change as he continues to fight you!"

"Oh wow! I can't wait! I am going to train so hard!"

I looked over Beerus with an eyebrow raised, and he snorted lightly and kept eating.

They finally finished the meal and I had a bit to eat as well.

"That beef stew was divine! Earth's bountiful delicacies never cease to satisfy my pallet!" Whis said while stretching.

"Yes, that's why I refuse to lose it to Champa. That was excellent," Beerus said. "Now then, Chiyo, you said something about dessert...I hope you weren't lying..."

I chuckled at that, "I have more than you can eat Lord Beerus. Trust me!"

"I will, and I hope your motivations are enough, otherwise we will go with my plan."

"They are, watch. Dad, Vegeta, you two going to hit the Hyperbolic Time chamber then?" I asked them.

"That's a great idea! What do you think Vegeta? If we go now we can get...3 years of training in!"

"3 years!? You'd really stay in that long? What's the point of that? As far as I can tell we're nearly at the limit of our strength, it doesn't matter how long we train, we'll still only gain a little."

"That's no reason to stop! Even if it is only a little, I'll still take everything I can get! If this Hit guy is as good as Chiyo says, then we can't bridge the gap if we don't try. But hey, I can't force ya. I'll train alone and get stronger ALL by myself!" Goku said.

Vegeta was looking down at his hands, "Three more years...Oh, what the hell...I'll go with you!"

"Alright! And what about you Chiyo!?" My dad asked.

"I can think of nothing worse for my mental health than three years of training," I said honestly.

Whis laughed at that.

My dad and Vegeta went off and entered the Hyperbolic Time Chamber right after that meal. I had other plans for training but was thinking about sticking my head in there for a bit as well.

I went and found Tien, knowing there were only a few days left until Whis arrived to take us to the tournament. I found him training a new batch of recruits, who tried to hide the looks they gave me as I walked onto the training field, many wide-eyed faces, and some just seemed curious as to why the Director showed up to a session like that.

"Hey, Miss Chiyo!" Chioutzu said as he floated over.

"Hello you two, how are you?" I said, ignoring the 20 or so recruits in training Gi's.

"Great!" Chioutzu said.

"Ah, Director...come to inspect this new batch of recruits?" Tien asked.

I laughed, "No, no. I came to speak with you. Have you given thought to my offer?"

"Learning a new move in a crazy tournament between universes?" He asked.

"That's the one!"

"This all sounds crazy!" Chioutzu said.

Tien sighed, "What is this new move?"

"It's incredible, honestly. I am not sure if you will even be able to learn it..." I lead on, knowing he wasn't nearly as guidable as my dad was when it came to fighting techniques.

"I need more than that." "Yeah seems sketchy." They both replied.

"It involves skipping ahead in time."

"..." They stared at me silently.

"Yeah, it's that powerful..." I know that one of Tien's most potent abilities is called Mimicry. Allowing him to copy another fighter's technique after seeing it used only once. I wasn't sure if he would be able to see it since Hit literally leaves the timeline for a point in the future to some degree. That being said, I think if Tien sees it enough, then he might be able to copy it. Then I can have him try to teach me!

"Will we even be able to beat this guy?" Tien asked, and Chioutzu looked worried.

I shrugged, "It isn't definitive, but maybe," though I expect the tournament will be interrupted like it was in the original timeline.

He sighed again, "Alright, I'll go."

"Good, then you need to come with me."

"What about the new guys?" Chioutzu asked, gesturing to the recruits.

"What...you don't think you can whip them into shape?" I challenged the little guy.

Tien raised an eyebrow, "We are leaving today?"

"No, we are going to go all out in the time chamber today."

Chioutzu gasped at that.

Tien's other eyebrow raised and all three eyes opened wide, "Are you serious?"

"I am. We will stay in the time chamber until fully healed again, but we need to fight all out for a while, to stay accustomed to using so much power with control."

He blew his air out while staring at me, "Uh, alright...fine. Alright Chioutzu, I know you can get these whelps into shape!"

"Yessir!" He said playfully.

I smirked and reached out, "Good, let's go then!"

"Wait, I need to tell-"
I didn't wait and teleported both of us to the Lookout.

"Dende! Mr. Popo! How's it going?"

They paused their tennis game to turn to us and wave, "Chiyo, Tien! Great to see you both!"

We exchanged our greetings, Tien was a bit frustrated but I just ignored it and we headed over to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.

Entering, we found my dad and Vegeta going head to head in a gnarly fight. The strange and echoing room settled into silence as the two fighters stopped and came over.

"Chiyo! Tien! Decided to get some training in?" Goku asked.

Vegeta didn't say anything as per usual.

"We did! We just need to go all out for a bit, you don't mind, do you?"

"Not at all! We will go all out too!"

"Great! Tien the goal is to keep our energy contained as much as possible while expending most of it. We will have time to recover before the competition."

"Right...well you first..." He said, looking at me.

I smirked, "Alright, this is my strongest form..."

I started by pulling from my human side, the 10 silver rings that constantly glowed around my body. Throat, biceps, chest, palms, thighs, and arch of my feet. The silvery light began to spin and glow more vibrantly.

I then focused on my Saiyan side, the connection to my tail and bloodline. I felt my hair grow and my tail did the same.

Then I focused on my spirit as both my Saiyan and Human sides rose. Internally, a gyroscope with purple energy began to release the power that it constantly built up. I felt my world shake as the destruction Ki flooded into my spirit.

A ring of purple energy encircled my eyes like Ki-powered eyeliner.

My hair and tail turned purple. My black irises and 10 silver rings all turned gold.

I didn't scream to access this form, but rather just let it take over. Destruction energy was strange, pulling the generated energy out sort of took over everything else.

I breathed out and opened my eyes, Tien was standing in shock as he looked at me. My dad looked proud and excited. Vegetta still looked mad, but that was standard.

Once the form was comfortable I shifted my clothes to my armor via my wrist-watch. I loved the feeling of a circlet, knowing it could do nothing against my huge hair that reached down past my butt but it still tried, and even the two locks that always framed my face were still there, now much longer and purple.

Then I got a good look at my aura. Purple, black, and gold. Destroyers stick with a theme I guess...

"Super Saiyan Destroyer, show me what you have Tien," The sound of my voice almost scared me. It was already infused with some Divine Ki and refused to be silent, echoing around the chamber, riding on the waves of my energy. My soft words felt like thunder as they boomed around the strange white room.

"Wow Chiyo, you have something amazing there!" My dad said. "Is that your maximum power level?"

"This is the highest I can go while trying to hold in my aura..." I wasn't doing a great job at it. I had excellent spirit control, and I only let a small amount of energy flow around me so I could see the colors. It was important to know that it matched after all.

"Oh wow, so if you really let it go you could do some damage, huh?"

"I could I suppose, but let's not ruin Dende's hard work, and instead control our power. Tien, please power up."

"R-right," He said as he got into a stance.

I hadn't trained with him in a while, and wasn't sure what his top form looked like these days, I know it was powerful though.

"HhhhuuuuaaaaaaaahAAAAAHHHHHH!" He yelled, and his power almost felt like a mountain turning over, as the weight of his aura crashed with the massive increase into Divine Ki.

Another set of arms grew, and his eyes went fully white. Usually, he would appear a bit bulkier and slower when utilizing the Four Witches Technique...that was not the case today. He flexed his top two arms and put the other two in a series of rapid forms. While doing that he went into a series of movements like a kata and then finally settled with a nod at me.

"Are you ready?" I asked.

The second he nodded, I hit him with lightning.

The build-up was startling for me, as I knew that I wanted my lightning to hurt. I wanted it to destroy.

Golden lightning with purple and black as the center of each tine, formed into existence. The speed at which it traveled was too fast to see, even for my divine sight. It cut right through his lower left arm before he could even react.

I appeared in front of him as he registered the damage that was still piercing through him. My knee rose immediately at his chin, but it didn't make it.

A blast of energy that cut right through my aura and sent me flying back came from his third eye. It didn't feel like Ki, divine or otherwise.

I didn't hit the ground, but I had to correct myself as more lightning formed in my hands. I spun and directed another attack.

Two bolts went out, one striking at his left thigh as he blocked with a Ki shield on his remaining right arm.

Then a lightning bolt hit me.

I smirked after I cried out in pain. The white and blue bolt carved right up my left arm, not removing it, but leaving a horrible gash of pain. No blood as it was cauterized immediately.

"Good!" I said, as he just mimicked my Ki-Lightning. It didn't do as much damage as he didn't have the will behind it.

Then we engaged in an intense discourse. He would send multiple attacks at once and I responded with clones. Mine were different from his, as they could wield all of my power with each strike, instead of splitting it.

Tien went to kick one in the chin while striking the other with his fist. This left him open for two attacks. We rolled onwards, less than 3 seconds since the start of the fight.

Tien recovered and spun with a slashing Ki attack, then Tribeam.

I dodged the slash and shielded the Tribeam. It continued to fire at me while his other hands began to charge something else.

As soon as his Ki built up enough and he committed to launching more at me, I disappeared in a mid-fight Instant Transmission.

My foot connected with his temple as I threw a roundhouse into him. He was controlling the Ki attacks that he just released, but never got to see them land as I closed his vision.

I continued the spin, landing on a foot and I lunged back at him with both hands, expelling a massive amount of Ki with a scream, "Haah!"

He went flying back, then made his own recovery.

"Heeeuahhah" he grunted, throwing two hands forward, he pushed out an invisible Kiai wave, then pointed his third arm at me- Dodon Ray.

I jumped to avoid the Kiai wave and was perfectly airborne to receive a Dodon Ray to the face. I activated Instant Transmission to appear above and behind Tien.

I put a look of shock on my face as the beam passed through my Afterimage. Then I dropped my elbow on the top of his head. I don't know if it had any effect but I hoped it did.

He had time for only one arm to block and I followed up with a kick to the upper back, Ki spiking out from my toes. He was launched forward.

My moves were never-ending though. I didn't stop until the fight was done. It would be the same now. Two more balls of lightning formed and almost struck before I got tackled from the side.

I threw my elbow up and launched my dad into the air with the strike, then I recoiled in shock at how hard I hit him.

"Dad!" My form dropped as my heart sank in fear. I hit him hard enough to injure a god...and he was in base form.

As I felt out with my Ki, the only part of me that I kept fully empowered was my mind and eyes, I noticed something strange. My dad had no Ki. Or rather, the psionic projection of my father held no Ki. I turned on Tien who was already releasing a Tri Beam of horrible strength.

I was shocked at his turn of deception, but I quickly let my power flow. My spherical release of energy would have been weak against a directed beam, but this was Destruction Ki. My will made manifest.

Tiens Tribeam destroyed itself on my expanding wave. I forced it to stop before it touched anything besides the beam and pulled it together forming a full shield in front of me.

When Tien's attack dispersed he was staring at me in shock. I formed two more Ki spheres to produce lightning and just as I was about to release them he held up his hands.

"I'm good, Chiyo...please be done," Tien said, not wanting to deal with the lightning.

I smirked at him but still finished charging my lightning.

"Please? I surrender!"

"Hmph," I said as I let the spheres collapse.

We caught our breath and I looked over to Vegeta and Goku.

Goku had a smile, "Chiyo, that lightning is really strong stuff!"

I smiled back at him, "I knew Tien could copy it, but he hasn't tried until now...mission accomplished."

Tien stared at me, still breathing hard. He released his Four Witches Technique, his third arm and the stub of the one I cut off both disappeared into small bursts of Ki.

"Well, that lightning is extremely painful... I am already adding it to my mix."

I nodded at him as I let my form drop.

Tien had always been able to use psionic energy, which felt like some of the most deceptive and powerful forms of power out there. In conjunction with his Mimicry ability, he was able to figure out how to make his own type of lightning, using his pool of psionic energy. I had no idea how it worked as I couldn't sense it, only feel the pressure and the power of the nearly invisible energy.

Tien is something special as far as ki manipulation and his Mimicry skill. He still doesn't have the power of Gohan, Goku, Vegeta, or Piccolo for that matter, but the wide array of techniques and usage of psionic energy puts him on a different yet no less powerful level.

Tien and I decided to stay with my dad and Vegeta in the chamber for a while, fighting to exhaustion or injury many times over. It ended up being what felt like weeks inside, but only a few hours on the outside. I had Dende do the math when we left and we had spent closer to 10 months in the strange world. I was surprised at that since it didn't feel like that on the inside, instead pushing you into an endless trance.

I don't think I could describe the strangeness of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber well enough. While training, it was like swimming in water that had different temperature zones, constantly shifting. But it would go from scorching hot to well below freezing. The temperature was just one aspect, but using divine Ki lets you mostly ignore that aspect.

The 10x earth gravity is no more impressive than our larger gravity chamber on the Z Force Campus. But the endless void of white light was something else altogether. It was so silent and yet not. Like the silence had a volume in and of itself. Not just white noise either, but a strange sense of nothingness.

After a week or so on the inside, you enter a sort of trance, where no one speaks, but just continues to train and fight. The only communication comes in the form of fists and arcing Ki. Eating meals has no pleasure behind it, it's just filling up the tank, and even then they are few and far between. Usually only appearing well past our exhaustion points.

The need to sleep was still there, but it was muted and sleeping was more like meditation, but the sound of the void would penetrate my mindscape and feel omnipresent.

I can't lie that this experience hasn't exactly been positive on my mental state. I feel withdrawn and unwilling to do anything but analyze everything around me as if expecting it to attack or disperse into the void.

Tien and I both came out of the Time Chamber looking like shit. I flew off at incredible speeds, not saying a word to anyone after speaking with Dende, and arrived at my castle in the woods.

I took a crazy long bath and scrubbed the grime from months of not showering off. I had a fountain in the room and the active noise, so peaceful and relaxing, was enough to nearly send me into tears. My reignition of the bond with Gohan was strange as well. He sent me a text asking if I was alright, but I just told him I had spent time in the Chamber and needed some peace.

The rest of the day was the most surreal experience I had since becoming a goddess. Everything I did felt like I was trying to pick up the threads from something that happened a year ago. I still could hear the endless void, but it would turn out to be something else. I was sort of loopy and slightly jumpy as well.

Going back to the campus was a bad idea so I just went to my mom's house.

Everyone looked at me as if they just saw me a few hours ago, but their faces were all distant and painfully familiar at the same time. I found myself hugging people nonstop for the rest of the day.

I full-on cried with my mom and Goten. My mom was accepting of it and Goten didn't understand but still gave me the hugs I needed.

I constantly felt like I was missing something, or that I had not been a part of things, even though it was the other way around.

I just hoped the feeling would go away.

A delicious breakfast with my mom and Goten was the most refreshing thing I could imagine. I needed the recovery time, even if a night and a morning were all I got.

My mom packed a whole series of bento boxes, including 20 for my dad and another 20 for Vegeta for when they get out of the time chamber. I had my mom grab a new Gi for Goku and we headed off to the campus.

We had a whole group of people planning to go, including a camera crew. I had also messaged the Supreme Kai and he was going to meet us out there.

I finished grabbing all the capsules I needed, including some gifts for both destroyers since it's good to suck up to beings who can literally erase you.

Then a medium-sized shuttle landed on our campus and a few galactic patrol came filing out. Patrolmen Irico, Sealas, and Jaco all walked out of the shuttle as they escorted the Galactic King, Gingao. I had met the monarch of our galaxy when I introduced our world to the galactic community as its ambassador.

"King Gingao," I said with a bow. "Welcome to the Dragon World."

I sent a spike of Ki to Gohan through our bond and got an acknowledgment. He and Videl then appeared behind me with a quick Instant Transmission on my brother's part.

"Ah, Ambassador Chiyo, it is an honor to finally meet you on your home world," The king said with a bow.

"Thank you, your highness. You are always welcome of course. This is my brother, King Gohan, and his wife, Queen Videl..." I initiated introductions and let the monarchs all greet each other as I walked over to Irico and Sealas.

"How are you guys?" I said with a smile.

"Princess...good to see you," Sealas said with a smirk, "I look forward to seeing you fully unleashed."

I smiled at that, "I have improved quite a bit, it will be an interesting series of fights."

Irico nodded at me and Jaco just looked at me nervously.

"I am glad you all made it, this will be the first of a few...impactful competitions in the upcoming future," I said.

"I see. After what you showed us last time, I am looking forward to seeing what your warriors have to offer here," Irico said.

"You will be impressed I think, there are some amazing warriors on both sides."

It was then that the bright light of Whis's incoming form came rocketing down near us. He landed at full speed, yet there was no impact. A mighty clear cube, which is called a hexahedron, was waiting for us to board, Whis on top.

"Greetings everyone," Whis said.

"Whis! Good morning!" I said and began introductions.

It was then that my dad and Vegeta showed up, three years of training and they had made some gains. Even since I had left them in there yesterday.

The stink on them was almost visible, "There you are!" Bulma yelled, then she blanched and nearly puked as she caught a whiff of them, "No way! You both need to go shower RIGHT NOW! There is no way we are sharing a box with that amount of stink!"

Vegeta scoffed and Goku laughed casually, "Yeah, I guess we kind of stink, don't we?"

They flew off to the locker rooms and got showered up, changing into the armor and clothes Bulma and my Mom provided.

I had also acquired another set of my most recent style of fighting clothes, from the sources we had on the Z Campus. A black miniskirt with built-in under-shorts so I didn't flash anyone. A silver and black sports bra, which was armored. A silver circlet, bracers, and shin guards. I once again didn't have shoes, preferring to fight barefoot. I showed up ready to fight...unlike my dad and Vegeta.

Eventually, they returned. Tien and Gohan were also ready, finishing the party of 5 fighters, me included. Besides that, our group consisted of the delegation from our Galactic Government, all of the original Z Fighters and our families, and even Kiara and Ivan joined along.

"Alright everyone, please board the Hexahedron in an orderly fashion. Watch your step!" Whis said with a smile.

"WAIT FOR ME!" Krillin yelled. He was holding his pants like he just lost his belt and didn't have time to fix it.

"So, were you summoning the dragon?" My dad asked with a smirk.

"Goku! You don't have to tell the whole world!" Krillin said, cheeks as red as ever. 18 laughed and shook her head, as did most of us.

We stepped through the clear barrier, which I assumed was something inherent to the ship and not Whis's power, but it was still cool. I stepped in and took a seat, cross-legged while facing out of the ship. Goten came over and stood next to me. I put a gentle hand on his shoulder and smiled at him, "Heya sis!"

I attacked with my standard move, pulling him into my lap. "HEY! hahaha," Goten said. He was getting so big.

"You know, you are going to be even bigger than me one day, you are going to have to protect your sister!"

Trunks laughed, "Yeah, Chiyo, you don't exactly need protection."

"Maybe not, but it's good for a brother to protect his sister!" I reached over and pinched Trunk's cheek. "Matter of fact, you come here too!"

I pulled Trunks into my lap also, "Chiyyooooo!"

"What?" I said innocently.

"Let go!" Trunks said.

"I guess I could..." I then employed my most dangerous weapon and tickled both of the little monsters until we lifted off from the ground.

Both my mom and Bulma were laughing at the situation while 18 just smiled.

Everyone was brought to silence as the view of the Dragon World disappeared in the distance. Whis's power was on full display, our acceleration was obscene and yet there was no feeling of movement within the cube. It was an amazing experience.

As the flight got fully underway we had about 30 minutes until we reached Beerus's world, then another few hours until we left the Universe.

We picked up Lord Beerus and my mom began passing out snacks. I was happy that I convinced Lord Beerus not to bring Monaka, we had too much to gain by bringing Tien instead. I could have asked Piccolo, but Gohan seemed dead set on joining.

My dad and Vegeta ate like they hadn't had a real meal in years, which they hadn't. This time it was my mom with the future sight, as she packed enough food to fill both Saiyans and everyone else in the ship.

We came up on the Super Dragon Balls, six golden spheres floating around the 7th like a crown. Whis pulled into the circle of them with the same grace he always showed. The ooh's and awe's were constant as we flew through and even I had to admit it was quite a sight.

I took pictures for another time, and the camera crew was in shock as they had the best footage the Dragon World would ever see. The orbs were golden and beautiful, giving off their own light and gravity.

"Alright, that's enough sightseeing, get us there Whis!" Beerus said, not impressed.

"Of course my lord," Whis said.

On the seventh dragon ball, which had been cleared of dirt and grime, lay a bubble of atmosphere and the makings of a martial arts tournament. Also, two 40-meter-tall pictures of the destroyers...it was weird looking at them like that but gods were nothing if not eccentric.

"Wow! Lord Champa only had a few days, did he build this stuff himself?" Goku asked Beerus.

"No, Saiyan. Destroyers do not build anything. And even if we did, my brother would never be capable of this...it would just be paper and sticks."

"I heard that Beerus! Why don't you say that to my face?" Champa said as he floated down towards Beerus.

Beerus groaned and floated up to meet his brother.

Champa crossed his arms, "Honestly, I'm shocked you didn't back out."

"Of course I came Champa, as if I'd miss an opportunity to see your face when you lose and take your precious rock collection for myself."

"Glad you're confident, it will make taking Earth that much more fun!"

Beerus's eyes narrowed, "By the way, I know about your dirty little secret! You stole some of those orbs from my universe which explains your trespassing."

Champa immediately looked nervous, "What are you talking about?"

Beerus looked at me and I nodded, "Indeed, we know they were spread amongst both universes, meaning some were in Lord Beerus's universe."

Champa jumped in shock, "AHHH, The seer girl found out!"

"I knew you were up to something! If you weren't my twin brother I would destroy you for such a theft! Not that it matters, they'll all be mine soon anyway."

Champa crossed his arms imperiously, "You should be using this time to prepare for inevitable failure!"

Vados floated over, as graceful as Whis, "Are you two done yet? If so, then I can escort you over. As you can see we have ample seating for everyone."

Trunks and Bulma started to complain about the quality of the seats and the lack of cushions. Beerus took that as the perfect opportunity to lay another dig a Champa. He asked Whis to redo the stands to make them more comfortable.

Whis destroyed the plain bleachers and instead created a series of floating platforms with blue-grassy hills, looking like chalices full of blue-grass. There were all sorts of pillows and blankets for all of the different groups. Including a place for the Kais.

Included with this was a platform with writing desks for our test. Another two platforms had the flags of each universe, a spot for each destroyer and their attendants. As well as room for the fighters on each side, a coffee table was included.

Champa leaned over to Vados, "You're making me look bad! Why didn't you do better than stone bleachers!?"

Vados replied, "Sir it would be disrespectful for an artist to create a work of art her patron would not appreciate or understand."

Champa flinched back as if slapped and all of us felt the sting of that one.

"That's my older sister for you," Whis said with a smile.

"Yes, she was just trying to operate on your level. You should thank your attendant for being so aware, Champa."

Champa was furious, but Vados escorted us over to the testing area, "Good luck!" "Go get 'em!" and all sorts of cheers came from our families and friends.

It was then that the Supreme Kai's of the two universes appeared. The Supreme Kai's of the 6th were astonished at how familiar we were with our Kai's. My dad still had the excitement in him to introduce himself to the other Kai's. They were weirded out.

We landed at the testing area and I was glad to see that the lineup hadn't changed from my recollections.

"So that's the other team, huh?" My dad started.

It was then that Cabba got up and walked over to us. He didn't seem to see me and was staring at Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan, "Hello, Gentleman. Sorry, this may seem like a strange question, but are the two of you Saiyan's?"

"Well, more than that! Gohan and Chiyo here are also Saiyans!"

I stepped forward and slightly bowed with my brother, "Hello, Cabba. This is my brother, King Gohan of the Dragon World. I am his sister, Chiyo. It is an honor to meet you."

His face flushed at seeing me but he bowed regardless, "T-the honor is mine! I saw fellow Saiyans and got excited that we might exist in the 7th Universe as well!"

My dad and Vegeta both freaked out at that and began inspecting him as if it wasn't obvious with his hairstyle and his leading sentence.

"He doesn't have a tail!?" Goku asked while moving Cabba around.

The talk continued as Vegeta began questioning him with my dad interjecting.

Finally, Vados interrupted, "Boys! It is time to take the exam."

Vegeta wanted to hopefully speak to him about Planet Sadala after the competition and we sat down in the chairs.

The exam was some basic questions you could find on any critical thinking test. It was easy, if time-consuming.

Gohan was finished first obviously, and Hit was second. I was behind them and we ended up all passing with flying colors, even my dad passed somehow. That was probably the largest miracle of the day, to be honest.

"Alright Princess, the order is on you. Call it!" Beerus said.

"Yes, Lord Beerus!" I pulled a quarter out, "Dad, heads or Tails!" I flicked the coin and he yelled, "HEADS!"

I caught it and slapped it over to the back of my left hand, "Heads it is. Goku is up first, Vegeta is the anchor."

"Alright!" "WHAT?!" Came from both of them at the same time.

"It will be me after Goku, then Gohan, Tien, and finally Vegeta," I said.

"Good, well done Princess," Beerus said in his imperiously mocking tone.

I nodded at him anyway and got ready for the anthem.

Beerus launched a small ki blast that could probably destroy a planet, and it hit a gong.

Then an announcer showed up and welcomed everyone,

"Welcome to the Sixth and Seventh Universes Invitational - The Tournament of Destroyers will now begin! So hold onto your hats and get ready for the show! Now! The singing of the Joint-Universal Anthem."

Somehow the 'lights' were shut off, which made less than any sense, and a spotlight appeared on stage. A small penguin stood with a microphone. He appeared from nowhere...

The music played and he sang, "It's a biiiiig Universe, and there's twoooooo."

The music ended and the announcer came back on with the lights and a tear in his eye, "That was beautiful...thank you."

"And now the first match will begin! Let's see who we got!? From the Sixth Universe, Contestant Botamo! And representing the Seventh Universe, Contestant Goku!"

My dad and the Winnie the Poo on steroids both landed on the fighting stage.

Beerus yelled while the music still played, "Give 'em hell, Goku!"

Champa spoke loud enough for me to hear, "One of the Saiyans, huh? He was the one so eager to fight! Hah..."

Both Destroyers launched Ki blasts at the gong and the announcer knew the que, "You may begin!"

Botama started doing these weird jumps that came with an odd grunt each time he hit the ground.

My dad slowly approached, "You got some pretty nimble footwork there for such a big guy."

Botamo continued and bounced way up into the air, nearly at the forcefield, and came down with the speed of a meteor. He landed with barely enough time for Goku to dodge.

Then he went in overdrive and began bouncing all around, off of the forcefield and stage like some epic bouncy ball. He eventually connected with Goku on his left side, nearly launching my dad out of the ring. My dad was windmilling as he stopped himself from falling out.

Krillin called out from the stands, "Behind you Goku!"

My dad turned after saving, "Huh? Her, why didn't you attack me? I was wide open!"

Botamo just gave him the 'come at me' hand motion.

"Quite the start," Vados said.

Champa replied, "Goku still has the same sluggish reflexes he showed on Beerus's world."

I couldn't help but smile at that, and I looked over at Cabba who seemed confused and skeptical of my dad's power. I got excited at the classic Goku move of being weak to start.

Botamo just stood with his arms crossed, "Man, oh man, Lord Champa told me you were weak, but you're even worse than I'd imagined. If you're not going to give me a fight, you might as well tap out now so I can get started on my nap."

Beerus yelled, "HEEYYY! DON'T EMBARASS ME!"

My dad stared at Botamo with his angry face, "I ate way too much lunch."

Que anime fall.

My dad did some squats and stretches and the announcer spoke, "Goku admitted that he overate before the tournament," He put his hand over his face dramatically, "We gotta remember not to serve free food when Goku's around."

That drew quite a few laughs, especially from Chichi and Bulma.

Then Botamo started launching 'power loogies' while my dad dodged like mad.

They sparred for a bit and then my dad launched a hard punch to Botamo's gut and the Poo bear laughed as he nullified the impact.

He egged Goku on again and my dad began to unload a series of impressive combos...that did nothing.

Botamo walked forward, right through Goku's attacks.

Gohan leaned over, "Can he absorb everything?" I shook my head, but still whispered, "I think he has a power threshold, as anything does."

Gohan nodded and we kept watching.

Eventually, Vegeta got frustrated, "Grrr, Kakarot, stop punching him and USE YOUR DARN HEAD!"

Goku looked up, "OH okay!"

He took a step at the bear and smashed his head into the Botamo's gut with no more reaction than before.

Botamo laughed, "I'm pretty sure that's not what your teammate meant when he said to use your head."

But Goku moved and pulled one of his legs out. He then began dragging the blob off the stage.

"This fight is ridiculous..." I said with an exasperated shake of my head.

Gohan laughed at that and I could almost feel Vegeta's anger at the way it was going.

Botamo got up and reached for my dad, who just stood near the edge.

Goku pulled Botamo's arm and threw him out of the ring.

Everyone was silent as Botamo hit the dragon ball.

"Contestant Botamo is out of the ring! Goku Wins!"

"Alright, Dad!" Goten yelled.

Gohan and I clapped and held our laughter at my dad's antics.

"Who cares if it's cheap, we'll take the win! Way to go!" Beerus said.

"Whew! I'm glad this is a tournament, if this had been a real fight I could have been toast!" My dad said. I love how his antics would be considered a masterful play to deceive Champa and his team, but he was just being himself.

"CHEATER! This just proves that you pretended to be slower to trick me on Beerus's world!"

"What? I was wearing a heavy suit that Whis gave me for training, but I wasn't trying to trick you!"

"And then today you used those energy attacks, that was never part of the deal!"

The announcer spoke up, "The ranged attacks are fine as long as they come from the body, they're technically a physical ability. Your fighter Botamo used one as well."

"Well, I say this win doesn't count! The only fair thing to do is to refight this match!" Champa continued his tirade.

Beerus yelled, "You're a sore loser!" He hit the nail on my head.

As the rest of the stands and fighters booed Champa threw an actual fit. It would be funny if it wasn't a destroyer.

The announcer continued, "Up next is Contestant Goku versus Contestant Frost!"

Frost came off with honeyed words that were clearly lies. He then walked over to our stands and began a speech.

"Ladies and Gentleman of the Seventh Universe, It is a shame we have gathered here with an us versus them mentality-" He started.

I took that opportunity to Instant Transmission in front of our stands, "Be silent Frost! Your eyes tell a different story than your snake tongue. Pray your schemes fail against my father for I will make it hurt."

People gasped at my words, even my mom had a spike of surprise taint her Ki. I said them in a poetic, if dramatic way. I had practiced this part in the mirror too much to not say it like that.

"Whatever do you mean-" He continued.

"Save it for the ring Frost, no one here cares about your lies."

I casually flew back to our benches and sat casually.

"He really is a scumbag then?" Tien asked.

"Oh yes," I said.

Whis and Beerus watched me but didn't say anything as I sat down. Whis gave a little, "Hmm." at my words though.

"Well, you did something to piss Chiyo off, good luck!" Goku said.

Goku and Frost continued to speak before he convinced Frost to transform into a weird form with a long head.

Vegeta spoke up, "Kakarot may be a fool, but even he can tell that isn't true. Final form my ass!"

I snorted at that, thinking of ways to get Vetega back for calling my dad a fool. I could be petty like that sometimes.

They immediately engaged in an intense spar, hitting different levels of power than what has been showcased so far.

While that happened, the announcer began to list off all of Frost's accomplishments and why he was so well-liked in the 6th.

I could feel everyone looking at me after the announcer finished so I spoke up, "He not only started the wars but owns all the companies profiting off of them. Of course, his image is important, but you can feel the deception in his Ki and the greed in his eyes. I stand by my assessment."

Watching the fight, Frost began to advance on my dad, overwhelming him slightly. Of course, Goku was in his base form still, so it was a moot point.

My dad got angry and called Frost out again, I didn't want to mention that in my dad's rant, he promised to go all out as well, but was only powered up to Super Saiyan.

Frost powered up and transformed again into a more condensed form, akin to Frieza's Final Form.

Frost came at Goku at full strength and launched a punch powerful enough to level a country.

My dad blocked it with one hand and held him there before striking him once across the cheek.

Frost continued and my dad delivered a devastating roundhouse kick, knocking Frost back into a tumbling slide, saliva and blood flying away.

"I take it that's the limit of your final forms power. Since you seem like an honorable guy, Frost, I don't want to hurt you more than I have to. Tap out, and let your teammates take over," Goku taunted.

"I appreciate your concern for my health. But I'll never give in to you or anyone on your Universe's team. I am fighting for a cause and it is imperative that I win this match, then the tournament. All so I can continue to forge peace by ensuring Lord Champa's support!" Frost finished by yelling that last part as if coming to a passionate point.

Frost launched at Goku, reignited by his own words but achieving little. My dad countered with a nasty gut punch and a series of rough hits to his face and shoulders.

Frost threw another punch that my dad caught, but it was different. This was the punch that he injected that sleeping poison.

Goku started stumbling around for a bit, as Frost eyed him.

"This match is over!" Frost threw a roundhouse, connecting with Goku and he flew out of the ring.

Everyone was shocked at that. My dad had accessed less than 10% of his total power only to be knocked out.

"He's out! That means Frost advances!" The announcer said.

Cabba yelled out, "Aww yeah!"

Vegeta didn't get it, "Tsch, how did he lose?"

"It's simple, he's a cheater," I said. "Don't worry, I will destroy him."

I watched as my mother 'saved' my dad and yelled at him before fussing over everything, and then I listened to Frost continue to lie to everyone while shaking my dad's hand and acting like he learned something from the fight.

He got the crowd to cheer and I just scowled at him, "Ohh, I am going to make this hurt."

"Go easy on him Chiyo..." Gohan started.

"No, he will pay for this."

I waited while Beerus and Champa argued.

"Moving on now. The next Contestant to face off against Frost will be... Contestant Chiyo!"

I stepped off the stairs that led to the open air and gracefully flew down, locking eyes with Frost. My scowl and disgust showed on my face.

He smiled at me curiously.

The entire flight down my power level climbed, the silver rings spinning up. The moment I landed my power level eclipsed his.

"BEGIN!"

"Since you've had the benefit of seeing every trick up my sleeve, all I have left is my resolve!"

He got into a stance and I smirked, "I have seen everything, 'up your sleeves'." Knowing that is where he kept one of his poisoned needles.

He rushed at me and my power level was already much higher, he seemed to not care or not realize that I had been building up. He threw a wild haymaker and I leaned back while my right foot met his face.

The blow launched him into the air with a painful grunt. I appeared above him and blasted him with an open wave of Ki. It stopped his momentum enough for me to drop a heel into his back.

He launched down onto the ring, impacting with a devastating amount of force, he didn't move. I could feel his Ki moving though, so I charged my own.

I heard my dad speak though, "You know, it's no fun fighting Chiyo sometimes..."

I ignored it and flashed down next to him.

Frost made the move I was waiting for.

He slashed out with his fist strangely and desperately, to inject me as well, no doubt. I grabbed his wrist, allowing the orb I had been charging to dissipate. I then launched him over my head and slammed him down as hard as I could.

"FROST IS CHEATING!" I yelled. I would destroy Frost in ways Frieza never got to experience.

I would ruin his reputation.

"What is this!? YOU WOULD DARE?!" Lord Champ yelled back at me, not at all enjoying the call out.

I kept my senses fully on Frost while I addressed everyone.

"She's right! I saw it too! Frost is using a weapon that is against the rules! Check out his right arm! It's something sharp and pointy, open your eyes, ref! You can't sneak anything past this guy!" Jaco yelled. He had moved to the fighter's benches after my dad lost.

"Hold your tongue! Baseless accusations are beyond the pale!" Champa yelled.

"That's right! I fought with Frost on Planet Mayonai and can attest to his character! He's a hero who risked his life to rescue its citizens from marauding space pirates! He would never cheat!" Cabba yelled from next to Cabba.

My dad even spoke up in favor, "They're right! Frost doesn't seem like the type of guy to fight dirty!"

Vegeta stopped my dad from talking further and looked over to Jaco, "Wait, are you sure?"

Jaco scoffed, "Anyone who doubts these eyes will be wrong every single time!"

Vegeta pointed down to the ref, "Referee, search his damn body!"

"Ah, okay," the referee said nervously.

Champa spoke up again, "What sour grapes! Besmirching this man's good name just because you lost. But alright," He then pointed at Jaco, "Just know if they find nothing on him I will personally destroy you!"

Jaco flinched back at that "Alright then, never mind." He turned and went to sit back down.

"No, search him. If Champa destroys you then, well, so be it. It's no skin off my back after all," Beerus said ever-so-helpfully.

"Yeah it is just Jaco," Vegeta said with a scowl. "Referee! Frisk the man already!"

I spoke as the Referee walked over, "Contestant Frost has a needle in his forearm that is coated in some type of poison or sleeping agent. It is how he beat Goku."

He looked at the forearm and found the needle. Touching it had him woozy and nearly falling over.

"I assure you this is not a weapon, it's part of my body!" Frost tried to defend.

I made a gross face at him, "Eww, are you naked?"

"What?!" Frost said, and I know I heard Bulma laugh.

The ref reset himself, "No way, there is clearly some trickery going on here, and by the rules of the tournament-"

I cut in, "WAIT!"

"What the-," The ref said, but I continued over him.

"I understand that Frost here is such a coward as to use a weapon, but I am willing to continue the fight as is. I will end it shortly."

"That sounds great to me, what do you say Beerus?" Champa said with a huge smile on his face.

Beerus just scowled at Champa and then stared down at me, "Do you know what you are doing Princess? I don't want you to be wrong for the first time."

I laughed, "It wouldn't be the first time I was wrong, but I am not in this case."

"Fine then, I agree. Let the fight continue," Beerus said.

"I don't get it! Why would somebody as honorable as him do something so underhanded!?" Cabba asked worriedly.

"Gentlemen, the truth is quite simple," Vados began, "This is who the great Mr. Frost truly is. Princess Chiyo is correct in her assessment of him. You see the space pirates that attacked Planet Mayonai are part of an underworld crime syndicate and Mr. Frost here is its leader."

Cabba couldn't believe it, "That can't be!"

Frost, whose expression had grown more devious by the moment, turned to address everyone, "You accuse me of such terrible things, Vados. I'm so hurt." Then Frost broke out into an actual evil laugh.

"Yes, I start wars, but then I resolve them and buy up all the war-ravaged land...at bargain prices! After that, I make a killing after the rather lucrative post-reconstruction profits! I'm tellin' ya, it's quite a business model I've cooked up here. I'm the problem and the solution."

Goku facepalmed and even the rest of the audience sighed in disgust.

Beerus spoke, "That's funny, now he doesn't seem all that different from Frieza."

Whis spoke imperiously, "He passes himself off as a noble to provide cover for all his nefarious plans."

Vegeta scoffed, "Even in another universe there is no way Frieza could be legitimately good at his core."

I raised an eyebrow at that, Vegeta speaking about people being good, but then I basked in the boos that came at the destruction of Frost's reputation.

"I have defeated your persona, now it is time for me to defeat you. I SAY LET THE FIGHT CONTINUE!" The crowd stopped booing, now listening to my words.

"What are you thinking Princess?" Beerus asked me.

"Lord Beerus, I can defeat this disgusting excuse for a fighter easily," I bowed at Beerus, then faced Lord Champa.

He had been talking to Vados about the quality of morals the fighters had on his team when Vados reminded him that she followed his instructions to the letter. Champa was going to destroy Frost, but I stepped up again.

"Lord Champa, I would request to allow the fight to continue!"

Champa was about to turn me down, but Vados convinced him to continue the fight as it would cost him nothing. "HEY FROST!" Champa yelled, "If you win this match, I'll wipe the slate clean and forgive you for tarnishing my sterling reputation. And if you can pull off another victory, I'll even consider rewarding you in the way we agreed! Got it?!"
Frost smirked deviously and nodded once.

It was time for Beerus to show his imperious demeanor, "How gōsh, the smirk of a self-satisfied egotist."

"Does that remind of anyone sir?" Whis asked quietly.

Beerus flinched, but moved on, "Hey Princess! Defeat this guy once and for all! Then, I can relax! Ya got that!?"

I bowed at him, hiding a smirk of my own.

I readied myself and looked up to Frost, my demeanor changed, now ready for a fight.

"Hey, Chiyo! You got this!" Goku cheered.

"Well, well, well...this pretty princess is letting the fight continue...Don't blame me if you regret this!" Frost said, trying to be intimidating.

I smiled at him, my energy spiking, "Everything is going according to my plan."

That shut him up for a second, but his smirk grew again. He then tried to threaten me, holding his bracer up, dripping venom.

"Go ahead, start the match ref."

"Wait...I wouldn't want to disrespect a princess by not going as hard as I can."

"I am alright with you using any weapons you wish...it will not matter."

"Perfect, and as far as the big M-word...you wouldn't me to slip by accident...I suppose we can cross that bridge when we get to it."

Both Beerus and Champa didn't care about him using the needles, so the Ref had permission to start.

"R-right...you may begin!"

Frost was about to start a monologue about deception, murder, and trickery. But I just let the floodgates open, my energy overflowing.

I sent one clone forward while activating Instant Transmission tp appear high up near the top of the dome.

He punched forward, trying to meet my clone in her flight path. The clone easily dodged around the fist and placed a devastating knee to Frost's chin. He was immediately knocked out as his body went flying up to me. It didn't matter though.

I struck each of his limbs once, enough force to break them, then sent him flying down into the ground. He landed on the ring and didn't move. I could feel his energy though, so I knew I didn't kill him.

After they peeled Frost off the ring, Lord Champa decided to make a little alteration.

"WHAT ARE YOU UP TO CHAMPA!? NOBODY TOLD ME ABOUT A RULE CHANGE!" Beerus yelled as he and Whis met with Vados and Champa, now floating above a clear box of...some kind of material. Vados had formed it in seconds.

"HEY! Take it easy brother! I certainly didn't mean to upset you...You remember how the larger dome was nearly damaged in the last fight, don't you? That was really dangerous!" Champa said with mock seriousness. "I just wanted to ensure the safety of our guests. These fighters are powerful and we need to take some precautions! Of course, if we add a barrier we need to address it in the rules."

"YOU CAN"T MAKE CHANGES WITHOUT ASKING ME!" Beerus responded.

"Hmph! Sure I can, you told me setting up the arena was my job!"

"FINE! But you can't change the rules too!"

"DON'T YOU CARE ABOUT PROTECTING OUR GUESTS!?"

"OF COURSE NOT! WHY WOULD I CARE WHAT HAPPENS TO MORTALS AND THE GODS CAN TAKE CARE OF THEMSELVES!"

Champa's voice grew strained and tense, "YOU WINE OVER NOTHING! GO SIT DOWN!"

Both destroyers began growling at each other like alley cats, and Whis spoke up before they could fight.

"Why not settle this peacefully with a game of rock, paper, scissors?"

They both stopped growling and spoke at the same time, "Oh, that works for me."

The destroyers probably did something like twenty-thousand games of rock, paper, scissors in two minutes.

Every single round ended in a tie.

The destroyers really were twins.

"Thank you for waiting through that delay! We're back on track and ready for the next world-shaking face-off!" The announcer said.

"The ring is set up for you Magetta! Make sure you deliver!" Champa said.

Magetta picked up a cup of magma, "TANG-TANG-TANG-WOOF!"

The metal person said, causing a burst of wind and sound.

"Hey! I have sensitive ears you know!" Champa complained.

"CHUGGA-CHUGGA-CHUGGA!" Magetta yelled as it landed on the ring.

I powered up enough to stop the ring from lifting and kept watching the metal being. I put my most disgusted face on as I prepared for my next performance.

"Chika-Chika-toot...Gulp GULP!" Magetta said as he finished chugging his magma drink.

"Let's hear it for Universe 6! Contestant Auta Magetta!" The announcer revealed.

"Ratchet-e-thwank. Clangity-clangity-whirr," Magetta said.

"And let's BEGIN!"

Before Magetta could speak, I infused Ki into my voice to ensure he heard me, "Did you just drink your own puke? You are truly disgusting...and you dare show yourself to a princess?"

The metal man flinched at my words.

"Why don't you just puke anywhere you remarkable piece of crap? How dare you act like that in front of Destroyers..."

"T-ang.." His features deflated drastically.

"Uhhh, Chiyo? Why are you being so mean? Is this guy also an evil dictator?" Goku asked.

"No, he just grosses me out..."

By now my words were having a physical effect on him. Each one seemed like a devastating punch to the massive being.

"18, what would you think if faced with a being who pukes everywhere?"

I looked up at the Android and Magetta followed my gaze.

As expected, 18 came through for me. I might be good at showing a grossed-out face, but 18 is something special. A real talent for showing disdain.

The look of pure loathing and revulsion that showed in her eyes was like a Ki blast strong enough to destroy a planet.

Magetta stumbled back in horrible pain. His feelings at an all-time low.

"This isn't fair! The evil princess is ruining my fighter's mental health!" Champa complained.

"There is nothing in the rules about a dose of smack talk!" The ref said.

"Fine then, if you won't surrender, then I shall use my most powerful weapon," I said.

Magetta's eyes widened in horror.

"That's right Magetta, this next attack will have you in depression for years...are you sure you can handle it?"

The metal man had lava tears starting to form, he made eye contact with me.

"This is your last chance metal man..."

He shook his head violently as his eyes bulged even wider, "Chugga?"

"Magetta's strongest attack...is his own farts. Another example of how foul this creature truly is..."

Megetta was knocked back with the force of my burn. The metal man stumbled back, now fully crying tears of horror and pain, and fell off of the ring. Hitting the ground.

"Princess Chiyo WIIIINNNNNS!"

"Tang...tang...hiss," Magetta said as he cried.

Champa sat in shocked silence, while Vados laughed lightly.

"Yeah, like I said...it's really hard to fight Chiyo sometimes," Goku said while rubbing the back of his head.

I flew over to Magetta as he was crying on the ground, eyes wide as he was clearly devastated.

"Magetta?" I asked cautiously.

The big metal man flinched, but I kneeled next to him, "I am sorry that I had to do that, but you need to find a way to make it so words don't hurt you. We have a lot of fights in the future, and many people will use harsh words to hurt you."

He just looked at me warily, tears flowing.

"Look, our fight, had to be the hardest yet for you, right?"

He nodded.

"You are still alive, you aren't injured, and everything I said was only just words...that's it. All anyone can do is just put some sounds together, use your will to not let that hurt you again...okay?"

He nodded, but more resolutely.

I offered to help him up, "Come on, take my hand and stand up! You have just faced your hardest challenge and you survived!"

He pinched my hand between two metal fingers, but it was enough for me to float up and pull the metal man back to his feet. I held up his arm as if he had won the fight and my family was nice enough to cheer for him. If Frost were conscious, he would see me using his methods against his universe.

"Now our next challenger for Contestant Chiyo! Contestant Cabba! The fresh-faced Saiyan from the 6th universe versus the devastating Princess from the 7th! Which Saiyan will be left standing when it's all over?"

I ignored the murmur in the crowd as I stared down Cabba. I inspected him all over, and he seemed like a good kid. Even if he's technically older than me, he looks younger in both experience and age.

"Cabba," I said with a graceful bow.

"P-princess, I look forward to fighting you."

I smiled at him, "Likewise, tell me Cabba. Do you have access to the Super Saiyan battle transformation?"

"I don't think I know what that is?"

"Hmmmm," I looked over to the ref, "Would you permit me a moment to teach this Saiyan his battle transformation? It will make the fight more interesting for everyone."

"Oh...uhh," The ref stammered.

"I say let it happen, what's the worst that could happen?" Champa asked with a devious smirk. He didn't understand that I had had more experience with the transformation. Not to mention my access to divine Ki.

"Whatever, just hurry up," Beerus said.

I felt Cabba's energy level, it was fairly high for a base-level Saiyan that has never transformed.

"Tell me, Cabba. Can you sense the Ki of another?"

"Ki? You mean life energy?"

"Sort of, yes. Can you sense that in others?"

"I can't I am sorry. But if you can teach me anything, I would gladly accept. In fact, on behalf of my family on Planet Sadala, I would humbly request you teach me this method that I may bring true peace to our universe. I beg you."

I nodded, hearing Vegeta scoff several times. "I will, so long as you understand peace isn't a marker or an endgame...it is a constant struggle."

I immediately felt the approval of Gohan through our twin bond. He had been pondering quite a bit about the philosophical reasons behind ruling and the moral obligation of those with strength. I am sure he would love to discuss this with me later, but I put that out of my mind for now.

"A constant struggle? Is there no way to achieve permanent peace?" He looked honestly confused and frustrated by my words.

"I just want you to understand that you don't just achieve it and move on. You constantly work towards bettering the lives of those in your world. We can discuss this sort of thing another time. Tell me, have you ever linked minds with someone with the use of Ki?"

His frown deepened, "I am sorry," He bowed. "I don't know, master."

"Please, just call me Chiyo, if you don't mind I will quickly show you how to concentrate your Ki enough to transform. Then we can let the fight begin..."

"I understand, thank you so much for this opportunity."

I smiled at him, "Of course. Now, let me show you how I access the battle transformation. You know, we Saiyans are an amazing species. We can reach unbelievable heights through our exploits with power, energy, and spirit control. Even more than that though, Saiyans can learn to sense the energy around them, doing so helps them push their own to new heights. I will show you the feeling of accessing the transformation, but to show others, you must learn how to sense the Ki around you."

He looked at me as if memorizing every word I had to say.

I walked up to him and gently placed my hand on the side of his face and locked eyes with him. I invited his consciousness into my Spirit Space for a moment, only long enough to show him the feeling of pooling my energy into my upper back. The feeling of passing over the threshold and finding a power level that the energy can stabilize at.

He fully understood my emotions but was almost overwhelmed by the energy within me. I pulled us both out and found his eyes blinking open again.

"Good, now transform. Do it while the feeling is still there."

He nodded with concentration on his face. I felt the power build within him, his energy control wasn't horrible for a base-level Saiyan. The energy gathered in his upper back but it never built up enough to do so.

I quietly spoke to him, "Good, now use your emotions, your will. Bring forth the fire and rage of combat to push forward into the transformation."

I pushed my own aura out, infused with my own emotions. I concentrated on my ability to transform and slowly turned the power up. I matched his level perfectly, and he finally noticed the resonance.

I nodded at that, "PULL FROM WITHIN!"

He started quietly, "UuuuuaaaaaahhhahhhhhhhhhHHHH!" The final part of the scream pushed his energy through the barrier into Super Saiyan.

His eyes flashed into turquoise and his hair turned golden as his aura matched.

He kept pushing his power, not feeling a comfortable level of control for another 5-10 seconds. Finally, it stabilized and he breathed, transformation fully under control.

"This...this is amazing!" Cabba said.

"Good. Now drop your transformation and be ready to access it again when we fight, alright?"

"Right..." He focused on releasing the transformation and, soon enough doing just that.

"Ref, we are ready to begin," I said with a nod.

He looked up to the Destroyers and Beerus launched a small Ki blast at the starting gong.

"Alrighty folks! Thank you for the wait! Let's let the next fight, BEGIN!"

I powered up to his previous power level, and he focused on doing the same. I let him, then nodded at him to start.

Cabba got into a stance that almost perfectly resembled Vegeta's, I even heard my dad comment on it, drawing a scoff from Vegeta, one that made it plain that he was right.

He rushed forward and I immediately left an Afterimage that his fist passed through. I felt the impact in the remaining Ki, noticing that he wasn't half bad at pushing his energy forward with his attack.

He looked around to find a clone incoming, a massive flying kick at his chest. Cabba crossed his arms and blocked, sliding back across the smooth white tiles.

That was when the second clone hit him from the side, getting a devastating blow to his side. Cabba flipped a few times but managed to right himself. He released a series of Ki blasts, looking for me. I was above him, making use of his inability to sense Ki.

He eventually spotted me and launched Ki blasts at me.

I raised a finger and released a pinpointed Ki attack right back.

"Dodon Ray," Tien said from the stands where he was sitting on the huge grassy hill with Chioutzu.

18 scoffed, "Finger Beam."

My Ki strike pierced the edge of his thigh, causing him to lose concentration on his Ki balls. I swatted the one stray ball that got close.

I charged a larger Ki attack, folding the energy on itself, and sent a beam at him, this one much larger in scale than the piercing beam I just used.

I was hoping he would start a clash so that I could draw his energy out further. I fully intended to push Cabba to new levels of power.

Instead, he jumped from his uninjured leg, flying up to my level.

I didn't send a clone but went on the offensive. Starting with a chained series of punches and kicks that I enjoy using. It's a series of combos that lets me control the flow of the fight, that is if I am strong enough. My dad can pick it apart, and Vegeta usually just overpowers it.

Gohan only loses to me when I mess with our bond or do something with my Ki control. Ki Lightning really hurts.

This wasn't one of those fighters though, this was a young Saiyan that didn't have a family of the Universe's strongest fighters to push himself against. My attacks were met with blocks until I threw his rhythm off.

I struck his chin with a roundhouse, followed by a nasty kick to his chest. The first hit was enough to daze him, but the second one was me essentially tee-ing off on his unfocused gaze. He impacted the shield and slid down to the ground.

"Contestant Chiyo, WINS!"

The stands cheered and I bowed before flying over and healing Cabba.

"You have great potential but have a long way to go. Make sure to contact me if you are out of options. I might be a universe away, but I can do my best to help," I smiled at the healed Cabba.

My hand was held out to him to help him up, but he started crying.

He stood in a flash of movement and bowed at me, "Thank you so much, my lady! I will always treasure this knowledge!"

"Just remember your Saiyan Pride."

"What's that?"

"That is your conviction, your strength. Never forget that you are a Saiyan," I said.

"Right...I will not forget, my lady!" He bowed again, hiding his blushing face.

I smiled and Instant Transmissioned up next to Whis.

"Whis, may I have some water please?"

"Of course, Chiyo," Whis said handing me a pitcher.

I drank deep, the water probably something from some untouched realm, perfectly cooled. It was delicious and full of natural Ki.

"Chiyo, this next guy has some strength, huh?" Goku asked.

"Definitely, I don't think I will be able to beat him. You should all be watching this fight closely."

"Oh, man! I wish I could fight him!" He said again.

I looked over at him, "Wait, weren't you knocked out by Frost's illegal weapon? Shouldn't that be canceled?"

"Oh yeah! Hey Beerus, what do you think?" Goku asked.

"Hmmm, I agree. HEY REF!" Beerus yelled. "Goku must be allowed to fight, it was only due to the CHEATING ACTIONS of MY BROTHER!"

"HEY THAT WASN'T ME! IT WAS FROST!"

"WELL HE CHEATED, GOKU SHOULD BE ALLOWED BACK INTO THE ORDER OF THINGS!"

"NO HE SHOULDN'T, HE IS STILL OUT!"

"YES HE SHOULD!"

The yelling went on for almost a minute before Vados and Whis both quieted them down.

The ref made a call, "Is there any proof that he was actually put out by Frost's weapon?"

Beerus hopped up and searched all over Goku, finally finding a small puncture on his palm. "AHA! Found it! LOOK AT THIS, REF!" Beerus yelled.

Goku flew down to the Ref, and showed him his hand, "That is definitely a puncture wound! That is plenty of reason to cancel the elimination!"

"Alright!"

I finished my water and wondered how this tournament would end. I felt a ping of support from Gohan and looked over to see my whole family looking at me with smiles.

I waved over and everyone waved back. "GO CHIYO!" Goten yelled.

"YOU GOT THIS GIRL!" Bulma said with a wink.

"I believe in you Chiyo! No matter what happens, you will always be my Chiyo!" My mom yelled.

A lot of people cheered me on, it was an amazing feeling that brought a huge smile to my face and I finished the water before heading back down to the ring.

"Up next, Contestant Chiyo faces the Anchor of Universe 6, Contestant HIT!"

Hit opened his eyes and jumped down to the ring in one swift motion. No wasted movement.

His red eyes locked onto mine, assessing.

I heard some discussion going on but was fully focused on the assassin.

The gong went off and the Ref started the match.

"Hit," I bowed, "Thank you for accepting the terms of the duel, as I know I would be unable to last more than a single strike should you be actually trying to kill me. In honor of that, I will attempt three different things, if they do not work, then I will surrender. I hope that is acceptable."

His eyes narrowed at me, but he didn't say anything. I powered up to my blue divine state. It wasn't the full amount of power I could draw upon, missing much of the aspects of my foundation, but it was a comfortable Super Saiyan Blue.

Hit's eyes slightly widened as I channeled my Divine Ki.

My first idea was to just try my lightning. It was the fastest thing I could do, and fast enough that I couldn't see it travel. It just connected and destroyed.

I formed the condensed Ki ball, found the spark, and fueled it. The empowered bolt immediately struck Hit in the chest.

"Agh!" Hit said as he rolled backward.

I threw another bolt-

Everything went black and I found myself on the ground. I had been hit in the side of my head with enough force to crack a mountain.

I immediately healed myself and looked up at Hit.

"Damn...you are impressive." I got back to my feet and looked over to the stands where Tien sat.

His eyes were wide open and I raised my eyebrow at him. He shook his head.

"Alright, let me try my next idea then."

Hit just stared at me, in a stance.

I fully accessed all of my power, my silver rings began spinning again and I pulled from both of my spiritual paths. Once I accessed everything, the 'Divine Destruction Engine' I had created within my Spirit Space activated.

Destruction Ki began flowing through-

"HEY! NO DESTRUCTION ENERGY! THAT ISN'T ALLOWED!" Champa yelled.

"I agree," Beerus said.

"Oh...uh, right... Sorry!" I said sheepishly.

I turned back to Hit, who was patiently waiting.

I nodded, "Well, please just give me a moment to try this last idea of mine."

He sort of rolled his eyes but nodded.

I focused on my human side this time, where the next thing I could try resided.

I have been thinking about the nature of my abilities recently. When I use my Spirit Control to create clones, I am essentially creating a copy of myself made fully from energy. But more than that, I am essentially extending the amount of presence I have inside the realm of 'material' for lack of a better term.

If I existed as a spirit that resided inside a body, then I would exist both here in physical space and inside the 'spiritual world.' This doesn't change when I make my clones using spirit control instead of Ki-dividing. I become a being in more than one space.

Using that, I wondered if I could sort of use my Spirit Control to break from the corporeal for a moment, essentially becoming fully light and Ki. This was some inspiration from Instant Transmission and my Afterimage techniques.

If I could dodge attacks by letting them pass through me unharmed, then I might be able to ignore his time skip ability by being unable to be touched at all.

The problem was that I had never been successful in anything close to it. I can't take another hit from...Hit like that. To make it worse, it was obvious he held back, pushing a lot less energy into the strike than he had flowing through him.

I know someone with this much experience was merely allowing me to try this.

I reached into my Spirit Space and felt the connection to my Silver Rings. This had been an entire facet of my power that I hadn't analyzed, something that had eluded my assessment for a long time.

Recently, I condensed both my Saiyan and Human spiritual paths, eliminating a lot of clutter in my Spirit Space. Most of that was on account of the addition to the strange gyro sphere of destruction Ki that was constantly building up power within this realm.

I stepped towards my human side, where I felt the key to my current dilemma might lay. Stepping on the pathway towards it, I fully accessed the power, using only the pathways my human side had.

My hair turned white, my rings began to spin and glow, turning a hot white as well.

I pushed far into this transformation, a state in which I had only accessed maybe once before. The strange 'one-ness' with everything inherent to Divine Ki was oddly multiplied in this form. I leaned into that idea, feeling my spirit rise to my call.

I thought of how creating a clone was so natural these days, extending my form to exist in multiple places at once, all connected with the power of my Spirit Control.

What if I could change my own body into energy, in a sort of reverse process to how my clones are created? Just exist in a pure form of light and Ki. A being of energy.

I focused on the idea of reversing the Ki flow, watching my body from the spirit space.

It didn't work at all, then I pulled out and opened my eyes.

Hit was still in his stance, waiting.

I stared at him and released my breath, relaxing my emotions and clearing my mind.

I focused on the one-ness of reality and how I was just an aspect of such experiencing itself.

My Ki did something strange and sort of inverted the flow. Not just a different direction, but more of a spiritual dispersion of it. My Ki went from flowing out of my spirit and into my body to my ki flowing into my spirit and...

I felt my priorities change as everything that was happening or has ever happened, no longer seemed to matter.

"What is she doing?" Lord Beerus asked.

"I believe she is accessing her Spirit Space to figure out how to beat Hit. The question is, what is she discovering?" Whis asked.

"Hmmm, her energy is doing weird things. It's nice of Hit to sit and wait!"

Just then, the entire realm seemed to ripple as Chiyo's body ignited in white light and silver fire.

"Oh...what are you doing Princess?" Whis asked curiously.

That was when Gohan gasped in shock, "Chiyo!" He yelled.

The sudden yell from the onlookers drew all the attention. Gohan was floating and staring at the energy of Chiyo, searching as hard as he could.

"What is happening?" Goku asked, brow furrowed.

Before anyone could respond, Chiyo's energy grew and she exploded into bits of light. Nothing physical of her remained, no wisp or sign of her having been there.

Gohan flew forward and landed in the ring, right where his sister was.

"CHIYOO! WHERE IS SHE!?" Gohan screamed out confused.

Champa interrupted, "So, the girl went and destroyed herself, a pity..." He said an evil smile crossing his face as he looked at his brother.

Beerus scowled, "What happened Whis!? Where is she?"

"She isn't dead... she ascended..." Whis said.

"What does that mean?" Immediately drawing the attention of everyone present.

"It is an ability that many races possess, including humans. It happens when one reaches a sort of state that you might call...hmmm, atavism or maybe achieving oneness with her higher soul. It seems our dear Chiyo here has figured out how to ascend...that is the easy part of course. The hard part is deciding to come back."

"What do you mean Whis? Is she dead? I can't sense her anywhere!" Goku asked, furiously searching for energy.

People in the audience, entirely from Universe 7 began to grow worried and were looking at Gohan's display with confusion. Chichi had gone almost catatonic at the display.

Goten wasn't sure what was happening, all he knew was that his sister's energy was completely gone.

"I mean to say that, once people ascend, it is becoming one with everything, ascending to a higher state of being. I am not sure how she did it, outside of her universe and as young as she is...but stranger things have happened," Whis said. "She has truly gone and ascended into a higher state of being, a sublimation of body and mind into the spiritual," His voice held a tone of melancholy, but it accurately described the situation.

"I think it is safe to say that contestant Hit wins-" The ref said, only for Gohan to snap his head up at him, glaring with hatred.

He transformed into his strongest divine state, his full power immediately blasting from him with force. This was the power that destroyed a planet with a single punch.

He focused on his bond with his sister, something that felt like it dissolved in an instant. He wasn't going to allow that to remain.

The force of energy he pushed through it was too much to measure accurately, an overwhelming amount.

It was like a fire hose but the nozzle was in another dimension. Gohan's power was shaking the realm, pushing back the floating structures and even the massive planet-sized Super Dragon Balls.

"CHIYYYYOOOOOOOO!" Gohan screamed.

A collection of energy spread into the endless energy of the spiritual. A small dot compared to the endless energy here.

Small indeed, yet massive on its own scale. The power was just like everything here, both existing and not. Both real and unreal.

Yet, when a second wave came, everything heard a name.

A name to describe a small portion of the energy, a small amount that was still connected to something in the past, as if it was a scent that lingers.

It didn't seem important for that energy to do anything, but it was something. The energy collected. It...morphed.

There was a path that it could follow, a route that the energy flowed through to become a whole structure once again. It would be different as more than what had been dispersed came back together.

The energy built, it wasn't just a state but a constant flux. It gathered and the idea of a name coalesced into something. Something that pushed into the physical realm.

A white light, the size of a pea appeared in front of Gohan.

He reached out to it and pushed energy at it. The ball light grew and grew until it formed into a female shape.

She was still fully light, with no sign of flesh or hair, as the form seemed to awaken.

The head turned and looked at Gohan, his power vast and radiating.

Chiyo's hand reached out and touched her brother's cheek. It looked like she tried to speak but only light came out.

"Chiyo? Come back, please."

Chiyo tilted her head as if trying to understand the words, her brow furrowing.

"Please..."

"CHIYO!" Goten screamed, the shield around the floating hill of grass keeping him from the powers clashing outside.

The energy being looked over to Goten and gasped as if she realized something and exploded in power once again.

I was still pure energy, but the ocean I had been a part of for so long was disappearing in my mind. I felt different...physical.

I felt a wild force of energy trying to connect to me, it seemed familiar and distant at the same time.

I reached and touched the closest one, it was distraught and vibrating discordantly.

I pushed some of my energy into it, to try and soothe the patterns and fluctuations. It seemed to work.

But then another familiar source rang out in...worry?

Yes, it...no, HE was worried.

I was amazed at how familiar it all felt. Like I was walking a path I had walked before.

Something changed and I became more physical.

I looked up at the crying...Goten...MY BROTHER GOTEN!

I turned and finally, words spoke, "Gohan?!"

He smiled as his form dropped and he hugged me, "What the hell happened, Chiyo?"

"I...don't know."

I spent a long time on this chapter, as i wanted to incorporate my own version of 'Ascension of the soul' or rather a path that humanity has. It isn't necessarily a power up, but more of a state of being. It is explored in the series Forgotten Realms by R.A. Salvatore, where a monk named Kane achieves this state of being.

Kane spent his whole life wanting to achieve a higher state of being, to ascend. He realized that there is more to it than just doing so, but in reaching this perfect state one must be ready to move on. Not only that, but ascending before you are ready is essentially dying and moving on.

Chiyo was unable to maintain the idea of 'self' as she dispersed into the spiritual world. It was only thanks to her connection to Gohan that she was able to come back. But it has changed her in ways she might not be able to realize for a while. There are consequences to mistakes and Chiyo nearly died. I didn't know if I made it clear enough in the story, just how close to death she was, but I wanted to explain it a bit.

Thank you all for reading!
