"Look at this cake," Okada says, aiming his phone at the table before him.
Shinsuke laughs, staring at the red icing swirling around the cake with green candies spread generously around its borders, bright and cheerful even in the questionable lighting of the room Okada is currently in. "You and your cakes," he teases.
"Holidays only come around once a year," Okada says, unbothered as he swipes his finger through the frosting and tastes it before grinning smugly down at his phone.
"The way you celebrate them, it might as well be every day." Shinsuke settles back more comfortably against his pillows and quirks an eyebrow at Okada, content to relax before bed in this fashion. "Interesting rumors out there now-a-days."
"Isn't there, though?" Okada says dryly, opting to change the topic instead of delving further into it. Leaving Shinsuke guessing. For now. "Will you come visit me when I'm in the States in January?"
"Do you think you'll need the backup? Considering it's TNA?" Shinsuke's lips twist into a smirk as Okada rolls his eyes.
"No, it would just be nice to see an old friend I suppose."
"Last Vegas? I won't be far away that weekend," Shinsuke says. "I will have to check my schedule, and let you know."
"Of course you will," Okada chuckles, taking another bite of his cake.
"Bring a cake like that and perhaps I will be more willing," Shinsuke says.
"Ah, I need to bribe you to gain your friendship? I see how it is," Okada says, forking up more cake as he pretends to mull it over. "Well, consider it a deal. As long as your schedule is clear."
"Exactly," Shinsuke smirks. "Merii Kurisumasu, Little Kazu."
Okada rolls his eyes but echoes it, "Merii Kurisumasu, Shinsuke-chan. See you in a few weeks."
Shinsuke chuckles. "Hai, see you then."
