Chapter 15:
Music by Radio head
Song: Creep
The red dawn came up in the sky. Everyone stayed busy as usual. But Neal arrived at his destination as it alerted Emma's sense of the presence back in the tent. Regina was still naked but asleep in her arms and Emma stayed awake. The maids came in to find them naked on the bed and turned away to get out of the tent.
Henry Sr. was busy with his area of expertise to use the tools against the equipment that Ruby sent him to battle with it on his own. Since he was a hybrid wolf, Ruby sensed his anger against his ex-wife and continued to observe his best skills.
Ella was still in a meeting and Rumpelstiltskin stayed behind her as he listened to the plans. He was using his sense of listening by the noise of the outside and his eyes moved on Ella's retreating back around the table. His listening gained some perks when it alerted him from the outside of the tent. Rumpelstiltskin stayed still as Ella argued with the board members to take some more of soldiers from another world.
Snow and her husband came in the tent to find Ella and Rumpelstiltskin there. Their facial expressions showed no pity as they bowed their respect toward them. Rumpelstiltskin held his head high as he asked for it. Snow looked at David before catching his eye and nudged out of the tent. Ella was focusing on her duty as Rumpelstiltskin followed Snow out behind the tent.
"Yes, your majesty?"
"We have a big problem." Snow whispered under her sneer. Rumple looked around himself as he hummed. The queen sighed as she turned around to face the grounds. Rumpelstiltskin tilted his head as his voice spoke up.
"What is it?"
"It is now facing us. The battle is here. It's coming at sunset as the blood comes out than you think it would."
"Where?"
"On our East. It is near. We need to get ready."
"No. I need to contact Emma. I only know her plan for now."
"What about Ella? I know she had a plan too."
"No. Her plan failed to meet exceptions from the board members. As long as she argues on her points, it is useless." Rumpelstiltskin growled as he smashed his cane onto the ground. Snow stared at him before nodding to concur.
"Well, you got my information and contact her as possible as soon as we need her help."
"Yes, your majesty."
Snow and Rumpelstiltskin walked inside the tent. Ella was exhausted when it came to the arguments between her and the board members. David was still standing there as he waited on his wife.
"We move on as Emma's orders." Ella raised her voice as she didn't win the battle. Rumpelstiltskin nodded before sensing his telepathy toward Emma's. Snow and David finally left. Ella came upon her husband and went in with her curiosity.
Emma?
Yes, my friend.
The plan backfired as Ella tried to negotiate with the board members. But I got a message from her majesty, Snow. The battle is here. It's in our East. What should I do?
Get all of you to come here in my tent. I think I have a plan for a backup. Regina is here with me. Oh, please send Henry Sr to come too.
Yes, your highness.
It disconnected on their telepathy. Rumpelstiltskin sighed as he announced his presence. Ella, Snow, and David still were there but their looks went pale as he spoke up.
"Emma wants us to be there in her tent right now. Oh, Ella. Please send Henry Sr to come too. She needs him. I'll be right there as soon as possible when I get back from Zelena's."
They nodded before leaving the tent to meet Emma. But Rumpelstiltskin was worried about Regina's strength against her mother once again. He flicked his wrist as the cloud disappeared his body in the air.
Zelena was busy with her plans for training her illusionists in the battle but she felt something that appeared and didn't look up at him. Her voice carried out in the room as she still worked on her strategy.
"What is it for this time?"
"Emma needs you because the battle is here."
"I will be right behind you." Zelena nodded before instructing her students to practice inside the tent. She waved herself to disappear and it left Rumpelstiltskin to look on his East before vanishing away.
Not long after they arrived, Emma and Regina got dressed up. Henry Sr. was pacing back and front. The blonde vampire glanced at Rumple and continued.
"What happened?"
"Your highness, they are confronting us on our East. I believe that Ella was trying to win some points for the plans but it failed. So, what should we do?"
"How long before we face our battle?" Emma replied before looking at Regina for a moment. The brunette girl gulped before crawling onto her father's arms. Rumpelstiltskin sighed before shaking his head. Snow pursed her lips before asking.
"Not long enough to prepare everything."
"I just got some calculations on the time. It will arrive here by in less than a few hours, at least 3 hours from this time." David announced before nodding toward Rumpelstiltskin. Emma exhaled deeply.
"Noon. It is not enough. They gave us a surprise. Rumple, prepare everything you instructed. Henry Sr., go with your pack and get Ruby back here. I need her to protect your daughter at all times. I come with Zelena to gather illusionists to be prepared. Snow, you lead your group first. David, you stay behind her and lead your group. Is it clear?"
"Yes, your highness." They said in unison. Regina stayed silent. Emma sent her a small smile.
"Ella, you come with Henry Sr. Prepare the archers with fire. They don't like it. You send them a signal to begin a battle."
"Yes, your highness." Ella bowed out of the tent with her instructions. Henry Sr. kissed his daughter with a tight embrace before following Ella out. Rumple nodded before flicking himself out. Snow and David looked at each other before bowing out of the tent. Regina slowly walked to Emma and cowered under the golden-haired vampire's arms.
"Will it be ok?" The brunette girl asked before looking upon the emerald eyes. Emma smiled slightly before pecking on her forehead.
"We will be ok as it is soon over."
"Emma." Ruby came into the tent. The ladies looked up to her and the blonde vampire nodded before continuing.
"Ruby, I ask you to keep Regina safe and hidden. I don't want Cora to see her or track her."
"Yes, your highness."
"What about my magic? Will my mother find me if they track my magic?" Regina was worried but bit her lips. Emma exhaled deeply before nodding.
"I know that it can tamper your magic as Cora track it but I ask you to trust me that you won't use your magic. I don't want you to be taken by your mother. I hate it when I face her if she has you in her chains." Ruby nodded with no words. Emma stared in the caramel eyes and pledged. Regina sighed before nodding. The blonde woman confirmed that Ruby continued to take Regina away.
Emma walked out of the tent and watched Regina walking away with Ruby. Regina took a glance over her shoulder and sent Emma a "be safe" look. The blonde vampire smiled before hearing Zelena's voice behind her.
"Don't worry, Em. I sent a message to my good friend back in OZ. They will take care of her as long as she is with Ruby."
"Good monkey you got. Is everything ready?"
"Yes," Zelena affirmed. Emma nodded before flicking them out in the air toward the East. They arrived in the tower and took a look at the East. The battle was coming near. Emma saw the small army parading toward them. Zelena gasped slightly.
"I can't believe it is today."
"I know. Your mother didn't give me a warning in our telepathy minds."
"Emma, the wolves are ready." Rumple appeared in the air as Zelena nodded to her leader who was giving a signal to her from the ground.
"The illusionists are ready to be prepared."
"Good. Get steady as I tell so."
"Yes, your highness."
"Ella?"
"She is packing everything for injuries. Henry Sr. has been transformed and I sent him to check the surroundings. Neal is staying behind to help David. Snow is coming with her archers from the top of the rocks." Rumple pointed toward the rocks above the tower. Emma narrowed her eyes at the archers settling down with their equipment.
"Do you want me to send my illusionists for a shield on our army?"
"Yes," Emma confirmed before sending Zelena out. Rumple stared at the end of their East and concurred.
"It is for the best."
"Where is my group?" Emma observed on the ground as she walked around the tower. Rumple indicted her group between the packs of wolves and giants that David sent a call.
"Giants?"
"David's calling. Snow gave him a message. They are on our side." Rumple informed her as Emma flicked herself out to see the front line. Her emerald eyes zoomed at the head of the charge, Cora Mills in her maroon ball gown in satin and a shiny crown on her head. Emma used her telepathy toward Rumple.
'She looks so regal.'.
'Yes, Emma. I just realized her face.' Rumple tipped his head above the sky. Emma narrowed her eyes at Cora's army.
'What the hell is that?'
'I believe that it is her army, the dead ones.'
'Do you think that Cora used her magic to rise out of the dead?' Emma sent the last message before flicking herself out to find Neal. Rumple growled at a thought before jumping down from the tower to meet Ella to help her out. The battle was coming in hot as Emma raised herself in the air and her eyes glowed in red.
It ended up in the worst one in history after all. Regina blinked at herself when she got a vivid vision as she ran away with Ruby toward the safe place. She gasped when she saw Emma in her bloody clothes and Cora towering over her. It was like a sword stabbing in her heart. Ruby silently heard Regina's heart beating faster and knew something is wrong. They kept going toward the place but didn't return back to the battlefield. Regina held her breath as she closed her eyes for a moment until she passed out on the wolf's fur. Ruby howled to her neighbors to warn them that they needed to fight them.
Until the song started with a dream.
When you were here before
Couldn't look you in the eye
You're just like an angel
Your skin makes me cry
Cora sneered at you when she held Regina in her hands. Henry Sr. tried to get her out of his wife's hands and begged her to stay away from Regina. Cora slapped him with a red welt. Regina cried as she was falling out of her mother's hands. Henry Sr. went shocked as Regina hit her head on the floor. Cora stared at her daughter as a feather fell away.
You float like a feather
In a beautiful world
And I wish I was special
You're so fuckin' special
Regina was taken away by her father and brought them to the hospital for checking on her head. Cora stayed behind in the living room and sat down on the rocking chair. She mumbled to herself as someone whispered in her ears. Regina stared at her mother and screamed to get her mother's attention. Henry Sr. cried on the way and comforted his daughter to calm down.
But I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo.
What the hell am I doing here?
I don't belong here.
The hospital came clear in their eyes. The doctor brought Regina to check up on her head and heard some words from Henry Sr. The police came toward them and got a statement that Cora abused her daughter. Regina kept crying and called her father as she tried to get away from the doctor's hands. Henry Sr. held up with comforting his daughter and sang a lullaby's song. The police wrote some important information from the doctor. Regina's head was swelling with the internal blood clots but she passed out in her father's arms.
I don't care if it hurts
I want to have control
I want a perfect body
I want a perfect soul
Regina stayed in the hospital for three days. Her father remained with her. Cora was taken away by the police and went into a mental hospital which it was far far away from them. Henry Sr. silently wept for his family to grieve on the falling apart. Regina didn't wake up but her eyes glanced at the beautiful blonde vampire in her eyes. It was Emma in a child.
I want you to notice
When I'm not around
You're so fuckin' special
I wish I was special
In a few days later, Regina woke up and screamed for her mother's love. Henry Sr. woke up with a frightened look and found himself embracing his daughter. The doctor came in to check up on her head and sent a nurse for some painkillers. Regina wept for her mother's love but her eyes kept staring at the corner of the room. It was Emma in a child who was waved at her.
But I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo.
What the hell am I doing here?
I don't belong here.
Regina felt like she was alone in her world with her father. It was their way to grieve for Cora to come back but she didn't come back. The police came back with the bad news. Cora died in the mental hospital as Regina just knew. She hadn't been released from the hospital yet. Regina was in her wheelchair as her father wheeled around in the hallways. Her eyes looked at Emma who was walking in front of her but she walked backward to stare back at Regina.
She's running out again,
She's running out
She's run run run run
Emma started to laugh and turned around to run away. Regina tried to reach her but Henry Sr. took a turn toward her room on the left. The blonde vampire kept running straight to the front doors and faded away in the air. Regina stared at the air and focused on the bed. The nurses helped carry Regina to the bed. Henry Sr. talked with the doctor about releasing her out of the hospital.
Whatever makes you happy
Whatever you want
You're so fuckin' special
I wish I was special
Last, Regina slept quietly as the night came up. Henry Sr. sang a song toward her. The nurses checked up on her on the routine every night. Emma appeared once in a night to kiss on Regina's forehead then faded away in the air.
But I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo,
What the hell am I doing here?
I don't belong here.
I don't belong here.
Regina just knew that she didn't belong to Cora anymore. And at all.
