Nika could only look at the creature not a word between the two, when all of a sudden, the creature moved it's hand to tell Nika to follow it.
Not having any other options at her disposal, Nika had to comply, she follow the figure to the outside of the academy, it was clear it wanted her to arrive at the Goddess Statue, but the gates were closed.
The figure however took another route, the temple where the statue was is quite old and and broken, and she somehow never noticed this other path, it was on the side of the island, almost as if someone was supposed to go through there from the very beginning.
Getting down from a ledge, Nika saw the pet of a professor, but noticed something wrong with it, it's fur was quite messy, and it turned around, it growled and it's tail spiked up, having returned the sword the day prior, the only thing she could do is run, luckily for her, nearby there was a wall which she could grab onto, and she moved along it.
She reached the other side where the figure kept motioning to follow it, this time up a steep slope, which Nika had some difficulty climbing, but after that, it was mostly smooth sailing, and she finally reached the Goddess Statue after climbing some vines.
For some reason, the figure stopped in front of the statue and when Nika approached, the wall behind it opened, leading inside the statue. The figure entered and so did Nika, but the closer she got to the center room, the louder a song was heard.
Finally catching up to the figure, she saw that the room looked cleaner than the rest of the statue, almost as if something didnt allow the dust in, that's when she saw it in the middle of the room, a katana was placed on a pedestal, "Nika..." The figure said, "The blade... Lift it out of it's pedestal." it continued and Nika felt compelled to do as it said.
Going up to the sword, she grabbed the hilt, giving it a light pull, moving it slightly, then a stronger pull got it to come out, and the song stopped, "Now... Focus on the blade... Focus on the melody you heard... As you do... Strike the emblem in front of you." The figure explained, Nika focused, remembering how the song sounded, slowly and surely enough, it started to vibrate, at first it was a light feeling, then it felt as if it could cause a earthquake, but she held strong and striked the emblem, causing it to release a loud note.
The sound stopped, letting Nika hear the sound of footsteps behind her, she turned and there was Gaepora "Nika!" He started I've had my suspicions, but until now I wasn't sure. Yet here we are in the Chamber of the Sword, the very place where it was foretold the youth of legend would one day appear. It is said that this place was left to our people by the goddess herself. The very knowledge of this room's existence is a secret passed down to a select few each generation, along with a handful of words... When the light of the goddess's sword shines bright, the great apocalypse will wake from its long slumber. Do not fear, for it is then that a youth, guided by my hand, shall reveal himself in a place most sacred. It started days ago. The sword that I've kept secret all these years... It began to give off a faint, otherworldly light. At first I was sure I was seeing thing, here alone with the sword. There was simple no other explanation. I never dreamed the prophecy of legend would come to pass in my lifetime. The words I have sworn to keep secret are coming true before my very eyes. The youth will be guided by one born of the blade-one who is also youthful in likeness yet wise with knowledge immeasurable." He recounted.
The only thing Nika could think about at the moment was 'So it's my duty to save Zelda... Wouldn't want it any other way.', she turned to the figure and simply nodded, ready to accept her duty, Gaepora lifted his head to see what she was looking at and saw the figure, "I didn't expect to be able to see the messenger of the Goddess, but that light... Just like it was written in the prophecies..." He said.
"Master... You will learn to wield the sword as your mission goes on... Such is the will of Shiva Samba..." The figure said before jumping into the blade of the sword and Nika felt a sudden weight being added to her back, she looked and saw the sheathe of the sword, she put the blade in and the being's voice came from it "You'll have to get past the cloud barrier... The note that came from the emblem... Use the blade, and replicate it the best you possibly can..." And with that, silence fell onto the room.
Gaepora broke the silence "You seem ready... Very well, I was planning to do first thing in the morning, but right here and now, I name you Nika, knight of Skyloft." Right after he baptized Nika with the title, a pedestal rised from the floor, on it were clothes of Nika's size.
Back at the academy, Nika put them on and looked at herself in the mirror, the clothes consisted in a yellow leotard that stopped at the armpits, thighhighs of the same color, a pair of garter belts that she put on top of the thighhighs, and a red jacked which covered from her shoulder to her ribs.
"I don't think you're supposed... Nevermind, the messenger said you needed to replicate a note, but what note?" Gaepora asked, hoping Nika knew something, she thought about it before unsheating her sword and making it vibrate.
It took a bit of adjustment, but eventually, the sword started vibrating at the right frequency, after a few second of nothing, a bright green light came from the window, "I think that's my cue." nika commented before hurrying outside.
