Back on Skyloft.
"So Zelda wasn't there" Gaepora asked, "Unfortunately, I mean, she WAS there, but she went somewhere else apparently." Nika explained in more detail, "And you're certain she's on that other part of the surface?" Gaepora questioned further, "Either that or there's a third." Nika confirmed.
Gaepora was really distraught about Zelda not being found yet, he wanted to help, but didn't know how, "If only things like steroids didn't harm more than the're worth, I'm sure they'd give you quite an edge against this Ghirahim guy." Gaepora said, hearing the word steroids though, peaked Nika's interest, "Steroids?" She asked in curiosity, "You know, the drug that makes your heart pump faster." Gaepora explained.
Pumping faster... Nika was thinking of something, surely wouldn't hurt as much as the actual stuff, "Heart pumping faster... I have an idea." Nika said as she placed her hands on her knees, this made Gaepora get a bit worried, "You're not planning on using steroids are you?" He asked concerned, but Nika reassured him, "No, but the concept is the same."She explained as she pressed down on her knees, causing them to pump her blood, and it was clear she was overheating a bit.
"What?" Gaepora asked interested, "Acceleration Engine." Nika stated as she got backup and focused on a tree branch, she aimed with one hand and prepared the other to strike, "What is this supposed to-" Gaepora was about to ask, but was interrupted by Nika shouting "Slinger Fest!" and she hit the branch so fast not even Gaepora who was standing right next to her could see.
Needless to say, he was stunned, so he had to ask "How did you?" Nika looked at him and explained "Back on the surface someone gave me a fruit, it turned me into rubber so it allows me to stretch, that's how I hit the branch, and the Acceleration Engine thing, I came up with it just now, from the steroid thing you talked about, you helped quite a lot."
Gaepora smirked a bit, now knowing he helped Nika get stronger, but there was something on his mind, "The Accelarition Engine seems useful, but it looks like it focuses more on speed, that's what caused the branch to break, you should work on something to boost your strength."
Nika nodded before jumping off Skyloft and calling her Loftwing, when she got close to the new opening in the cloud barrier, she jumped off and realized she was in the vulcanic area she saw while arriving in the woods.
Volcano Entry.
At the landing point, Nika could see that she was at the base of the volcano, "...Is this where I'm supposed to land...? I really hope it is..." She thought, worried she might have to climb all the way up.
Looking around, Nika realized that there was a path that led through the lava, and since it was the only one accessible at the moment, she took it, "Master, this place is known as Eldin Volcano, I'm afraid that your worries were well placed, from analysis the temple is located at the top." The spirit informed, causing Nika to groan in annoyance, then she thought, why not stretch to move faster? That didn't work, the rocks that it looked like she could grab, were way too hot and burned herself.
Of course this was even more annoying, but Nika just resigned and kept going on the path, at a point, she entered a cave and saw some kind of mole in there, surrounded by bombs, "Woah hold it right there you!" The mole exclaimed "You aren't a friend of those red creeps are you?", Nikas shook her head and replied "Those things are jut stupid, why would I be?", "Oh good, I'd suggest staying clear of them if you're looking for treasure.", "Noted.".
Nika moved her attention to the bombs, confused as to why they are just laying there, "What? Never seen a bomb flower?" The mole asked, "No, and you never told me your name, I'm Nika." She replied and the mole waved it's hand and said "Right, right, I'm Kortz, and as for what bomb flowers are, it's bombs that grow out of the ground, use the as much as you want, they keep growing back."
As she looked at the bombss closer, Nika realized that there were a few walls in the room that looked as if they could be destroyed, "Don't mind if I do then." Nika said as she picked a bomb flower up and threw it against one of the walls, she then did the same to the other two walls, they blew up, and revealed what was there.
The first had a path, the second... Nothing, while the third had a Goddess Cube, she made it vibrate and revealed inside it a large bag, Nika didn't think of anything of it, but Kortz recognized what it was, "Oh! A bomb bag!", "Bomb bag?" Nika questioned, "Yeah! You can use it to store bomb flowers! They're made of the same stuff as the plant, so be sure they won't explode." Kortz explained as he finished filling his own bomb bag and left.
Nika pickedup a few bomb flowers and put them in her bomb bag, and surprisingly, their natural wick turned off, "I wonder how this works..." Nika said as she started going through the newly formed path.
When she got to the other side, Nika saw a cracked wall that was leaking magma, "Hmm... Acceleration Engine!" Nika exclaimed as she pumped her legs and grabbed a bomb from her bag, "And now: Booming Mortar!" She exclaimed once more as she entered the position she would take when throwing a ball, looping her arm into a spiral before making it twist back into place to gain speed and throwing the bomb at the cracked wall, the bomb not losing height as it flew there.
The wall broke and let out lava started pouring out of there, freeing the way for Nika, she walked through and arrived at a broken bridge that had an arch which Nika had an idea on how to use, "Spirit, you said on the top right?" She asked and the spirit confirmed, this made Nika smirk as she activated the Acceleration Engine once more, she the stretched to grab the arch and pulled until her arms were completely stretched and exclaimed "Slingshot!", she then finally let go and flew all the way to the top of the mountain.
"Woohoo!" Nika yelled as she landed in front of the temple, "That. Was. Awsome!" Her exitement came to an end however as she saw that the temple door was locked, "You gotta be kidding me."
