Nika only had time to look at the ring before being thrown out of the spirit realm, "Wait- I- But I thought- Is this some kind of joke!?" She yelled at no one in particual, Angel just sort of waited for this to be over, "It's got to be a joke! All that! For a ring! What is it even for!?" Nika kept yelling, she even closed her eyes to try and calm down.
"Blades! Arrows! Ground spikes! No touching the damned wall in a narrow-a*s corridor! All for a stupid piece of jewlery that doesn't do anything! They could have as well have thrown in a necklace! Just give me the whole set! Seriously! It's been ten hours!" Nika kept yelling, "It's been 5-" Angel tried to correct, but Nika wanted none of it "Shut it you over-flattened iron bar! How about you do the next one so you understand how infuriating it was! In all of-"
There was a thud, as Nika fell to ground, having tripped on a rock, she opened her eyes, and she wasn't near the mining facility anymore, looking around she saw a passage way, behind it there was the mining faciolity, this is a place Nika completely overlooked, "What was even the point of the trial...?" She facepalmed and sat down, "This ring better take me to Heaven eventually." She thought before standing, litteraly kicking sand and headbutting the wall, which did nothing cause, Devil Fruit...
After hitting her head against wall three more times, she moved on, "Nika, I detect several indentetion in your cranium." Angel noted, "...I'm well aware..." Nika replied as she moved on, eventually she found a Goron, "Hey Gorko!" Nika called out getting the Goron's attention, "I think you misunderstood me for someone else." The Goron said, Nika took a good look at him an responded "Now that you mention it your beard is different."
"And that's the only thing you notice?" The Goron asked again, "You also have a different haircut." Nika added, "Nevermind... I'm Golo by the way." Golo introduced himself, "Nika, what were you doing... Digging?" Nika asked right after introducing herself, "I'm researching the legend of the three dragons, one of which is said to live here." Golo explained, "Three dragons? Water, fire and electricity?" Nika asked, "Yes! Have you heard about it!?" Golo excitedly asked, "I know one! He's in Faron Woods!" Nika informed, at this Golo simply dashed away, presumably to get to Faron Woods.
Nika ignored it and saw that where Golo was digging there was a hole large enough for her to fit into, so she went through and reached a locked door, with a slot that looked like the ring she got, "Thank Shiva Samba!" She exclaimed before inserting the ring in the slot and opening the door, revealing quite a sorry sight, "Wow... That's a lot of sand..." Nika commented as she gazed upon the Sand Sea.
The only thing between her and the sea was a giant gorge, on the other side of which there was something that looked like a port, "Was this an ocean!? Seriously! What the f*ck happened!?" Nika exclaimed, "It appears that a large monster was responsible for this." Angel informed, "How!?" Nika questioned further, but got no response, "You're completely useless!" Nika lamented as she stretched her way beyond the gorge.
When she got near enough, she noticed that there was a boat parked at the dock and on it there was a time stone, "I think I know how to get around." Nika thought as she got closer to the boat, however, when she took one more step, the ground felt moist, looking down, it was clear the sand was eaking a black liquid, "...?" Nika didn't express anything at this moment, not knowing what it was, but eventually, she got close enough to the boat to strike the time stone, but before she could do it, she noticed two things, a pile of bones holding three swords, but that wasn't the worrying part, it was the fact that the sand that composed the Sand Sea was moving like water.
"Is the sand alive?" Nika wondered as she grabbed her sword and poked the sand with it, this made a hole in the sand layer, revealing more of the black liquid, "Angel, if you're gonna be a smarty pants, this is the time..." Nika requested, and Angel actually replied "This black substance was used as a source of fuel befroe time stones were discovered, from my memories, I can recall that it was called petroleum, it generates itself after millenias of decomposition." She explained.
This didn't really bode well, "How much is there in the area?" Nika questioned further, "From my analysis it appears that this sea is 99% petroleum and 1% sand." Angel answered, Nika made a horrified expression at the revelation.

"Not even the flame of tranquillity is calming me down..." Nika admitted, seeingf as she was basically in a massive graveyard, she decided to just hit the time stone that was on the boat, revealing a much more horrible sight, blood, which meant that she would be sailing through blood.
One unexpected side effect of hitting the time stone, was that it revived the bones sitting in front of it, revealing a young man with green hair, a scar on his left eye, wearing a dark green robe which was open at the front revealing a much more severe looking scar, Nika didn't really notice, but her shaking was enough to shake the wooden boards were the boat was attached to, waking him up.
He got up nearly instantly when he saw Nika standing there, "What's going on!? Are you being attacked!?" He said as he unsheated two of his swords, "No, but there's someone pointing his swords at me!" Nika replied, "Wait! Where is the ships what-" He stopped when he saw the state the sea was in, made out of sand, with blood in a circular area around them, "There's- What- I- What day is it!?" He demanded to know, "Well, believe it or not, we're a few thousand years in the future." Nika responded.
This caused the man to have a shocked look in his face, "What do you mean thousand years!? When- How am I still alive!?" He asked, "You see that stone on the boat? If it's activated then an area around us will be sent back in time." Nika explained, "And what caused the sea to become a desert!?" He questioned further, "I don't know! I just know that it was some a large creature, besides it isn't sand, it's petroleum." Nika corrected, "But that-" He noticed the hole Nika poked in the sand, "Is this just one massive layer of sand!?" He screamed.
"Look I'll explain the best I can, so just calm down, what's your name?" Nika asked, trying to diffuse the situation, "Oh right, my name is Roronoa Zoro." He replied.
