16. Chapter 16

Chapter 16: The Spirit and Courage of the Chunin

Our favorite trio was in a state of confusion at what the jumpsuit wearing boy had just declared.

"You. . .want to fight one of us?" Naruto asked as he raised an eyebrow.

Lee was still in his stance as he nodded in confirmation. "Indeed! I have heard about the accomplishments of the genin squad known as Team Seven under the teaching of Kakashi Hatake and I would like to challenge at least one of you to a match." He calmly declared with a fire in his eyes.

The three sweat-dropped at the thought of them having a reputation.

The Kyūbi meanwhile snickered to this. "You lot always meet with shit load of weirdos." He commented with an amused tone.

In response, the blond couldn't help but let out a loud mental groan, unable to deny it.

However it was Sasuke that stepped forward as he had a cocky smirk on his face. "Alright then," He began, as he then got ready to fight. "I'll make this quick." He added with a slightly arrogant tone. "There's no way I can lose to a spandex wearing weirdo like this." Satsuki thought to herself.

"Teme, are you alright with this?" Naruto questioned with a lot of doubt in his tone as he really didn't like this idea.

"Sasuke-san, Lee-san, we only have a half an hour to make it to the exams. If we are late, we will be disqualified." Hinata pointed out, hoping that this will help to avoid the fight.

Sasuke's smirk only intensified as he look towards Lee before he then activated his Sharingan. "Don't worry dobe, Hyuga, I'll make this quick." He declared with confidence.

This made Lee smirked back as he was very happy that the Uchiha had accepted his challenge. "Indeed it will be." He replied with equal confidence.

The two genin then stood their ground for a moment as they prepared themselves for the fight when. . .

"Wait!" A female voice called out, getting everyone's attention.

The trio and Lee turn to look at the upper level to see a girl with brown hair that was in two buns, she had a pink T-shirt and dark green pants.

"Neji, he's over here!" The girl then called out.

Hinata winced when she heard the name, but she quickly regained her composure. "Naruto-kun. . ." She whispered with slight fear in her tone as she held her boyfriend's hand for emotional support.

"Yes Hinata-chan?" Naruto responded with concern, however he didn't need to receive an answer as they watched a long brown haired boy come in and had something very familiar looking eyes. He had the Byakugan. "Is that?" He soon asked.

Hinata looked down with a sad expression as she nodded in confirmation. "Yes. . .that's my cousin, Neji-niisan." She finally answered while the two then watched as Neji and the girl came down from the upper level. "I'm guessing that Lee-san and this other girl are his teammates." She guessed, not once letting go of the blond's hand.

Naruto gently rubbed the female Hyuga's hand as nodded, then he turned to watch the fellow genin coming towards them. "Guess so." He replied as he then smiled mischievously before he suddenly wrapped an arm around her waist.

"N-Naruto-kun!?" Hinata squeaked in both in surprised and startlement at the action.

"Just ignore any insults he tries to give you." Naruto then whispered the advice into her ear as he gave a kind smile to her.

Though still embarrassed Hinata finally manage to calmed down and nodded. "I will Naruto-kun, thank you for caring." She shyly reply, and then in moment of bravery the girl snuggled into her boyfriend, all the while enjoying the warmth and safety being in the blond's arms.

However, Neji had seen this exchange as he glared at the sight, all the while ignoring Tenten's cooing at how cute it was as he walked over to the two. "Hey. . .you there." He called out in a very rude manner.

Naruto lazily turned and looked at the glaring male Hyuga. "Yeah? What?" He asked in an annoyed tone as he hold onto the very embarrassed female Hyuga tighter in his arms.

At this response made Neji sneered at Naruto as Tenten rubbed her forehead in annoyance. "What is your relationship with Hinata-sama." He asked as he said it with much disdain when he called out said the girl's name.

"Wow. . .why not just say that you hate her guts. . ." The Kyūbi deadpanned the question as he easily tell that the boy didn't even bother or care to hide his malice for the kind Hyuga.

Naruto looked at with a blank expression as he also easily felt the malice, after all he had felt it for almost all his life so he be damn if he let someone he cared for feel the same.

Then the blond let Hinata unlatch herself from him as he walked up to Neji. "If you must know," He started while he gave a very intense glare at the boy. "I'm her boyfriend and I've already been approved by her father." He added with a smirk.

Neji then counter smirked as he looked at the duo, more so the blond. "Like the Hyuga Council would approve of this." He commented.

Everyone else started to notice the tension starting to raise between the two.

The girl sighed as she knew she had to stop this from escalating, she then went over to Hinata. "Sorry about this," She began to say with an honest tone while she smiled at Hinata. "So you're Neji's cousin, right? It's nice to meet you, I'm Tenten Higurashi." The now name Tenten introduce herself.

Hinata then gave the girl a polite bow. "It's nice to meet you Tenten-san." She replied with politeness.

"AHEM!" Everyone's attention was drawn to Lee as he got back into his fighting stance. "I would like to resume my spar with Sasuke Uchiha." He declared as he was excited for his match with Sasuke.

"Same here," Sasuke said as his smirk never lost its cockiness. "I wanna see how strong this guy is." He then added. "This is a nice way to test how tough the competition really is as well." Satsuki however thought to herself.

Tenten let out a low groan. "Lee. . ." She got out in an annoyed and embarrassing tone as she rubbed the back of her head, knowing that their was no way to stop him from getting the spar he wanted.

"Sasuke-san. . ." Hinata said with an equal tone as the other girl as she sweat-drop, but she also knew that there wasn't a way to stop him. "Satsuki-chan is really becoming more and more like Naruto-kun. . ." She thought to herself.

"That girl is really becoming like Kushina by the day. . ." The Kyūbi commented with a sweatdrop as he had the similar thoughts as the Hyuga.

Neji sighed as he looked back at the blond. "We'll settle this at the exams." He commented as he continued to glare at both Naruto and Hinata.

Naruto smirked at the Hyuga that insulted his girlfriend any chance he had. "Count on it." He confidently responded.

The genin of both teams both turned back to Sasuke and Lee as they were about to begin.

"Sasuke Uchiha, are you ready for what possibly might the most difficult and youthful fight you have ever fought!? For as I, Rock Lee shall give you a challenging challenge ever!?" He declared with passion and his eyes had fire in them.

"Uh. . ." Sasuke started, trying to figure out what the spandex wearing shinobi just said. "Yeah?" He got out in confusion. "What is wrong with this guy?" Satsuki thought with even more confusion.

Lee smile widely in happiness at the response. "Good, then let us begin!" announced as he charged at Sasuke with impressive speeds.

"Bring it." Sasuke responded as the two started their match.

The two started with a simple fist to fist combat to try and get a feeling at the others fighting style.

Sasuke was tempted to fire a fire jutsu at Lee, but he had to resisted not to do it or else he and his team wouldn't be allowed to take the exams after burning the place down.

What did surprised the last Uchiha was that he figured out that Lee only used his chakra for taijutsu. This made the Uchiha realized that his Sharingan couldn't help much as the boy was much faster than him. Making him realize that he possibly lose the fight if he was forced to only used taijutsu.

"This is going to be tougher than I thought." Satsuki thought to herself.

Meanwhile. . .

Naruto, Hinata and Tenten got into their own conversation while Neji looked on at the Uchiha, wanting to get to know as much as he could from a possible future rival at the exams.

"Oh, so you're the daughter of the weapons shop owner." Naruto commented with a curious tone.

Tenten nodded with a slight blush on her face. "Yeah, it's not bad working there at times, but I someday want to become a great kunoichi like Tsunade Senju-sama." She answered as she tightened her fist in excitement.

Naruto smiled with a chuckle, though on the inside he didn't want to say that he had no clue who was Tsunade Senju. "That's a good dream to have Tenten-chan." He stated as he tried not to show that he didn't know who the girl was talking about.

"Well your a idiot. . .that's what comes from not paying attention in class. . ." The Kyūbi remarked while he chuckled at his host.

"Hey! Those classes were boring dattebayo!" Naruto countered in a poor attempt to justify himself.

"That's what makes you a dumbass. . .dumbass." The demonic fox then quipped out, the chuckling never stopping all the while.

Unaware of the internal argument, the brown haired girl smiled. "Thanks," Tenten responded with an appreciative tone. "So what are your dreams?" She then asked.

Hinata blushed as she leaned into her blond boyfriend. "My only dream is to be able to removal of my family's curse mark," She began to say.

Hearing that caught Neji's attention for the moment before looking back, scuffing at the ridiculous thought as he simply believe to be impossible to change such a fate.

"Or at the very least become a great kunoichi and have a happy family." Hinata then finished, blushing darkly all the while.

Naruto chuckled as he had a small blushed on his face, knowing what her girlfriend meant by that as he then gave pecked her on the cheek, making said girl blushed darkly, much to the amusement of the blond and brunette.

"As for me, I would have to say to someday become the next Hokage, meaning that I'll have to train hard. So that I have the village acknowledge me as both their leader and their hero." He declared with passion for his dream as he then turned to Hinata and smiled. "Also like Hinata-chan, start my own family to finally obtain what I never had." He added with a kind smile and a longing in his eyes.

"Wow. . .That was actually pretty manly of you kit." The Kyūbi couldn't help but admit.

This made Hinata blush to a lighter shade as she held his hand and smile at him.

Tenten couldn't help again think that the sight was cute. "You two make a cute couple." She admitted before she then giggled at the two blushing.

The Kyūbi let out a chuckle to that. "Wait until she finds out that it's not a couple, but a threesome." He commented with a perverted grin on his face.

"Shut uuuuuuup. . ." The blond meanwhile groaned out in annoyance.

Having enough fun teasing the two, Tenten then turned to the fight with Neji just in time to see something she really wished she didn't. "Lee! You're not going to do that!" She shouted in fear.

What they saw was both Lee and Sasuke in the air, Lee right under Sasuke as the older boy had his bandages undo themselves.

"Oh boy. . .The Uchiha is in deep trouble now. . ." The Kyūbi stated when he saw where was this heading.

"That idiot. . ." Neji muttered in annoyance as he glared at his teammate and moved to intercept the two ninja who were in the air.

"Jeez. . ." Tenten then got out as she followed him and grabbed a kunai. Then with dead on accuracy threw it and hit both of the loose bandages as they were now pin onto the wall.

"What!?" Lee shouted at this action, making it impossible to continue his jutsu.

However, Sasuke continued to fall from the effects of the previews hit.

Naruto and Hinata saw this, realising that their teammate couldn't stop himself and panicked. "Damn it, Hinata-chan!" He shouted with panic in his tone.

Hinata nodded as the two soon rushed in as they catch their teammate before he could hit the floor while Lee landed safely as he pulled his pinned bandages. "Whew. . .that was close. Sasuke-san, are you alright?" She asked out of concern for her teammates well being.

In response Sasuke winced in pain for a moment before he shaked it off. "Yeah. . .a bit sore on my chin, but alright Hyuga, dobe. . ." He responded with a chuckle and got to his feet. "That really hurt. . ." Satsuki whine in her mind as pain coursed through her body.

Kyūbi then groaned as he expected what the Uchiha was going to possibly start thinking. "That's gonna hit her ego. . .hard." He stated with complete seriousness.

Lee panted as he saw Sasuke was alright and could still continue the fight. "Good, you are still able to go at it. So now-" He began as he once more took his stance, but. . .

"NO! THIS IS WHERE THE BATTLE ENDS!" An overly loud and excited voice called out, interrupting the fight.

Team Seven and Lee's Team blinked when a voice resounded within the room as Lee and his teammates paled at recognizing the voice more so the hot blooded youth.

The a green blur dashed pass the trio as it headed towards Lee. "DYNAMIC ENTRY!" The same voice declared loudly.

At that moment, Team Seven soon saw that the blurred looked to be an older version of Lee with the exact same jumpsuit, with the only difference being that he was wearing the standard jonin jacket as he suddenly kicked said boy in the face, sending him crashing into the wall and leaving a Lee shape hole.

"LEE!" The older Lee version boomed with a loud voice. "What technique were you going to use just now!? Didn't I tell you that technique was forbidden!?" He questioned with anger in his voice.

Lee then finally recovered from the kick as he slowly stood up. "I-I'm sorry, Gai-sensei! It's just. . ." He tried to say as he trying to come up with an excuse. He turned towards his teammates. "Tenten? Neji?" He called out his friends for help.

"It's all his fault." Neji answered bluntly.

"He started it." Tenten nodded.

Lee looked at his teammates as tears ran down his face. "S-So cruel. . ." He got out with sorrow in his voice.

However the members of Team Seven's attention were onto the sensei of Neji, Lee and Tenten, all the while thinking the same thing. "WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH HIS EYEBROWS!?" They thought in a panicked tone, all giving off grossed out expressions on their faces.

"THOSE THINGS ARE EVEN THICKER THAN THE OTHER ONE!" The Kyūbi meanwhile shouted from within the seal while having the same shocked tone as the rest.

"Oh now you react dattebayo!?" Naruto then remarked.

"THOSE THINGS ARE NOT NORMAL! HOW COULDN'T I!?" The Kyūbi soon retorted.

Gai then looked over at Team Seven, giving off a nice guy smile. "So, you three are Kakashi's youthful genins that he's been bragging about." He asked the trio with an overly excitement manner. "My name is Maito Gai, it's a pleasure to meet you!" He then formally introduced himself to Team Seven while he gave a thumbs up and show off his big white teeth.

Hinata then stepped forward, but not once did she let go of Naruto's hand. "You know Kakashi-sensei?" She asked him with a curious tone.

"Know him?" Gai repeated as the three looked at him before he suddenly vanished.

"Huh!?" The trio got out in surprise.

"People refer to us as eternal rivals, with a total of 50 wins and 49 losses." Gai finished after appearing behind the three.

The trio were in a state of shock by the inhuman speed the jonin had displayed.

"Of course I'm have the 50 wins!" Gai soon added while flashing his perfect teeth.

"When did he?" Naruto got out as he and his teammates turned around to see the jonin.

Sasuke said nothing as his face showed his stunned expression. "Whoa. . .I couldn't even see him with my Sharingan. . ." Satsuki thought with baffled tone as she deactivated her eyes in the process. "He is fast. . .maybe even faster than Kakashi-sensei and Haku. . ." She then added.

"So this is Neji-niisan's sensei." Hinata thought to herself while gulping as she held the blond's hand tighter.

The Bijū soon smacked his huge face. "First it was that lazy ass and now this guy. . .Why does every single jonin have a freaky quirk about them?" The Kyūbi asked himself with an annoyed tone.

"I'm sorry about Lee's intrusion." Gai confidently apologized giving a thumbs-up.

Naruto shook his head as he regained his composure. "Uh. . .no problem about that." He got out.

Sasuke meanwhile cracked his neck and spat some blood out. "It gave me a challenge before the exams start." He responded with a smirk. Satsuki however took a deep breath to this. "Jeez. . .and here I thought it would be easy. . ." She mumbled out, feeling disappointed in herself.

Hinata then stepped forward as she bowed to the older man. "It's nice to meet Neji-niisan's sensei." She politely responded

Gai smiled as he let his teeth shine in the light. "It's nice to meet you too Hinata-sama." He greeted with much enthusiasm before then looked at his own genin. "I suggest you get to the classroom as quickly as possible so you can participate in the exams. And Lee we will discuss your punishment afterwards. With that, I wish good luck to all of you!" He encouraged as he then disappeared in a puff of smoke.

"Right!" Gai's genin team responded as they started to head out.

"See you guys later. . .and sorry for all this." Tenten replied as she waved to them before leaving, followed by Neji.

Sasuke and Naruto then noticed Lee rewrapping his hands to see multiple scars, signing that he trained extremely hard. "I guess we're gonna have to work even harder." They both thought.

"Well, atleast its a good wake up call for them, after all there is always someone stronger out there in the world." The Kyūbi thought to himself. "Well not for me that is." He then quickly added with an arrogant tone and equally smirking face.

Lee then bowed to the Uchiha once more. "Thank you for this spar, as you are now a rival that I will possible fight against." He stated as he left, rushing to the classroom.

Sasuke then smirked in excitement. "Bring it." He stated as he turned to his teammates. "Naruto. . .Hinata. . .let's go!" He ordered to them. Though on the inside, Satsuki had a serious expression. "I still have a long way to go for growing up. . ." She thought with conviction.

"Yeah!" Naruto confidently said as Hinata nodded in agreement.

Inside of the seal, the Kyūbi smirked in amusement. "This is going to be interesting." He thought to himself.

With that, the trio headed to the classroom as they were ready to take up the challenge known as the Chunin Exams.

Further into the academy. . .

The trio finally reached the third floor and were heading straight at the designated room when they saw two familiar figures up ahead.

"Kakashi-sensei?" Naruto got out in confusion.

"Haku-san?" Hinata questioned.

"Hey there." Kakashi lazily greeted the trio.

"Hello." Haku replied.

"What are you two doing here?" Sasuke soon asked with an indifferent tone. "Did something happen?" Satsuki thought to herself.

Kakashi simply waved this off. "Oh not much, just wanted to give my cute little genin some small advice." He joked before gaining a serious expression.

The trio waited with patience as they really wanted to know if there was something they should know for the exams.

"To always remember to work together as a team." He finally said with a somewhat serious tone.

The trio face faulted to that. "That's it? We always do that dattebayo!" Naruto shouted in annoyance.

"Oh. . .Then you three have everything you need to know then." Kakashi stated with his normal lazy tone while giving a eye smile.

"Also, just be careful, as in the real world, anything may and will happen. So it's up to all of you to overcome what may comes your way." Haku advised in his own serious tone of voice.

Hinata responded with a nod of confirmation as Naruto grinned widely while Sasuke smirked at the challenge. Then they said their goodbyes as they entered the room.

In the examination room. . .

After moments later, the trio had finally reached the designated room and the moment they entered it, they were left speechless at what they saw.

"Whoa. . ." The all muttered out at the sight of many impressive looking shinobi as they gave them menacing looks.

"They all look pretty tough." Hinata muttered, getting a nod from her teammates.

"Well atleast this is going to be fun." Naruto commented with a excited tone.

Sasuke only smirked as he looked at everyone with a cocky look. "This is going to a real challenge for a change." He declared with cockiness in his tone. "Yeah! Time to show everyone we're the top team here!" Satsuki excitedly declared in her mind.

The Kyūbi meanwhile scuffed at the poor and pitiful amount killing intent that the others tried to show. "Child's play." He stated without worry. "If I could show my killing intent, they would be puking up their last meals." He added to himself with a vicious smirk on his face.

They soon decided to lean against a wall and tried to not attract attention when. . .

"You finally arrived Sasuke-kun!" A female voice happily replied.

Suddenly Sasuke was jumped by a familiar blonde, pigtailed girl in purple and bandages around her arms and stomach. Satsuki meanwhile got out a inner long and annoyed groan. "Great. . .I thought I finally got rid of them. . ." She thought to herself.

"Long time no see, it's been awhile." Ino then started with a flirty tone, much to the Uchiha's annoyance before she then looked up at Naruto and Hinata. "Hey guys." She then greeted.

Naruto and Hinata sweatdropped in unison at that and both gave a small chuckle feeling sorry for their teammate's misfortune.

"Damn. . .Now I feel sorry for being an ass for enjoying this in the past." Naruto thought to himself, now feeling bad for always laugh at Sasuke for being surrounded by fangirls.

"It's nice to see you too Ino-san." Hinata greeted with a small bow. "Poor Satsuki-chan." She meanwhile thought, feeling sad for the female Uchiha.

Ino then tilted her head for a moment after noticing that her ex-classmate didn't stutter even once and then finally noticed her new outfit as she then latched off Sasuke, much the Uchiha's immense relief and walked over to the Hyuga, examining her all the while.

"Hinata?" Ino soon asked as she was trying to process the other girl's new and stylish outfit, then she saw the female Hyuga nod at the response as she then noticed her chest before comparing it to her own before sighing in defeat. "Damn. . .you're more developed than me. . ." She muttered in depression.

"I-Ino-san. . ." Hinata quietly got out as she blushed in embarrassment while she grabbed the Uzumaki's shirt in a timid fashion.

The Kyūbi let out a chuckle. "Way to show off that your in a relationship in front of every shinobi of the Five Nations." He thought with amusements.

Ino then giggled at the blushing Hyuga as she saw her latching onto the other blond. "Well I'll be. . ." She began in disbelief as she then she turned to another direction. "Shikamaru, Chōji, over here!" She soon called out her teammates.

Naruto soon turned towards the direction the girl called out and then saw two guys come over to them.

One had a pineapple shaped haircut, who was yawning and had a lazy expression that made Kakashi's look like an active one while the other was a chubby boy who was munching on some chips.

"Hey guys, long time no see." Chōji greeted as he continue eating.

Shikamaru could only sigh as he looked on. "Troublesome, so your sensei signed you up for this as well, huh?" He asked with a bored tone.

Naruto chuckled as he rubbed his nose. "Nope! We all decided to sign up!" He replied with a wide grin on his face.

Once again Shikamaru let out another sigh, but this time with much annoyance. "Troublesome blonds. . ." He groaned out.

Chōjii continued to munch on his chips as he noticed the female Hyuga on the blond's arm. "What do you know? Naruto figured it out." He commented then he burped.

Naruto then started to blush along with Hinata as they started chuckling. "Yeah, you guys got us. I finally realized it." He stated as he hold the Hyuga closer to him and she hugged him tighter.

"Well. . .its official, you were denser than a mountain for being the only one not realizing it." The Kyūbi declared without a hint of sympathy.

"Shut up!" Naruto mentally roared back.

Ino looked back at Naruto and Hinata before going over to the two. "Excuse me Naruto, may I borrow Hinata for a moment?" She requested with a strangely polite tone.

Naruto gave her a confused look as he raised an eyebrow before looking at his girlfriend. "You alright with this?" He asked the girl.

"Uh. . .I guess." Hinata replied with slight hesitation in her tone.

Then Hinata went with Ino away from the rest of the group, just as Kiba, Akamaru, Shino and Sakura came over, as said girl did the same thing Ino did, much to the Uchiha's irritation.

Ino soon brought the female Hyuga over as she then looked at her after getting some distance from the others. "So Hinata, how long?" She asked with a knowing smile plastered in her face.

"Huh?" Hinata got out as she cutely tilted her head to the side, not understanding the blonde's question.

Ino then started to giggle. "Oh come on, you know what I mean." She began with a witty grin. "How long have you two been going out?" She finally asked with a smirk on her face.

This in turn caused poor Hinata to blush madly at the correct deduction of the platinum blonde haired girl.

Kiba meanwhile smirked as he saw the blushing Hyuga and giggling Yamanaka. "Looks like Hinata's in a very awkward situation, huh? Lover boy?" He jokingly asked as he lightly hit the blond with his elbow.

With a chuckle and a blush on his face, Naruto rubbed the back of his head. "Yeah. . .I'll have to apologize to her later." He stated, then he turned to a smirking Shikamaru and Chōji. "And if you even ask, I already hit myself multiple times with a frying pan until it took the shape of my face when I finally figured it out, so don't start!" He stated before they even had the chance to say anything.

"I still laugh my ass off every time I remember that you dense idiot!" The Kyūbi roared in laughter when he remembered the Naruto shaped frying pan.

Naruto could only mental groan to that as he was unable to retort to that remark.

Shikamaru raised an eyebrow before chuckling. "We didn't even say anything." He commented with a smirk.

Chōji then started chuckling as well. "Yeah Naruto, you admitted that all on your own." He added, then he and Kiba started to openly laugh at the blond while Shikamaru continued chucking and Shino just smirked at the sight.

This time Naruto let out a loud groan as he was being attacked from both outside and inside.

Sasuke looked at the sight as he chuckled as well, all the while ignoring Sakura's squeals after finally getting the girl off him. "Kami damn it. . .will this girl ever leave me alone?" Satsuki thought with intense irritation. While Sasuke watched on, a satisfied Ino and a blushing Hinata came back over to the rest of the rookies.

"You fresh genin need to learn to keep it down. Can't you read the atmosphere?" The unrecognized Konoha-nin looked around at the fresh arrivals, weighing them individually and making a few of them rather uncomfortable. "Everyone is already tense from the nervousness." He then added as he used his head to point at the room.

At that moment, the Konoha genins finally noticed that they were being stared at by everyone in the room. Each one of them either had a very annoyed, irritated or frustrated expression, all of which were pointed at the rookies.

"Shit. . ." Naruto swore out.

"Troublesome. . ." Shikamaru grumbled.

"Who are you?" Kiba then asked, not really caring what the boy just said.

"Oh! Well, my name is Yakushi Kabuto." The now named Kabuto politely introduced himself. "And I'm somewhat of a veteran of this exam." He then added with an embarrassed tone.

"Oh really? How many times have you taken it Kabuto-san?" Sakura soon asked as she tried to be polite in front of fellow ninja of the village.

Kabuto scratched his nose in embarrassment. "Heh, this will be my seventh time trying." He commented with much embarrassment in his voice, this made the Konoha genin widen their eyes in shock.

"Wow seven times?! You must really suck!" Kiba rudely remarked as he couldn't help but laugh at Kabuto, which earned him a smack on the back of his head from Sakura. "Damn it Sakura!" He muttered in annoyance.

"That's what you get for being rude!" Sakura shouted at the boy.

"Hehe. . .while that may be, but thanks to doing this so many times I've been able to gather a lot of good information." Kabuto commented.

Then the white haired boy whipped out a deck of cards and began to shuffled them, before he pulled out one of them. "These are my nin-info cards. I have information on everyone attending this year. Since you're new I'll be nice and help you out a bit. Is there anyone here you want information on?" Kabuto offered the rookies.

Sakura stepped forward as she pointed a thumb at Naruto. "Him, Naruto Baka Uzumaki." She rudely stated.

Kabuto sweatdropped along with Team Seven members at the hypocrisy that the girl just showed. "Alright then. . ." He replied as he started to go through the cards.

Naruto, Sasuke and Hinata however felt something off about Kabuto as the blond sniffed the air around him. "Snakes. . .He's got too much of a snake scent on him. . .and not the Anko kind. . .the kind that would bite you with its poison fangs while your guard is down. . ." He thought as he glared at him, remembering Anko saying something about avoiding snake's that aren't hers.

". . ." The Kyūbi said nothing as he found the boy also suspicious since he could feel the boy expertly hid his emotion to everyone but him.

"I better stop him before he gives out any info on me. . ." Naruto then thought as he a knowing looked at his teammates, who nodded back to him.

The the two teammates quickly blocked Naruto so that the other couldn't see him.

Then the blond made a few quick hand seals. "Wind Style. . ." Naruto started as he began to take small breath and then blew some air right in between his teammates. "Light Shredder. . ." He finished in a whisper as the wind jutsu guided itself to its target.

As Kabuto got the blank card that would've had Naruto's information on it. "Here it is." He stated with a satisfying tone.

"Well then come on, show it!" Sakura demanded, causing everyone except Team Seven to sweatdrop yet again, but at the same time not noticing that they were smirking.

"3. . .2. . .1. . ." Naruto whispered the countdown as he watched on.

Kabuto was about to summon the information on the card when he noticed that one of the corners sliced off. He blinked a few times at this. "What?" He got out in confusion.

"Kabuto-san, what's wrong?" Sakura soon asked.

"It seems as. . ." Kabuto started as his card suddenly was sliced to shreds as only pieces remained, leaving everyone wide-eyed. "Interesting. . ." He commented as he was the only one to noticed the members of Team Seven smirking and Naruto giving a peace sign to his teammates. "My my. . .it looks like Naruto-kun has more tricks than what I know." He thought with an impressed tone.

"WHAT THE HELL!?" Sakura screeched out.

"DAMMIT SAKURA! STOP HURTING MY EARS!" Kiba yelled out, not noticing that others were glaring at her as well. "YOU KNOW THAT ME AND AKAMARU HAVE SENSITIVE EARS!" He added as Akamaru was holding his ears and whimpering in pain.

"But. . .but. . ." Sakura stuttered out while pointing at the shredded card.

"Sakura. . .your drawing attention." Shino simply stated, making Sakura paled when she saw that the rest of the contenders were glaring at her.

Shino then watched as she then turned and try to hide herself, causing everyone in the room to sweat-drop. "I apologized for this." He said with a monotonous tone.

"What an idiot. . ." Said a guy with many bandages on his head said to his teammates, one was equally spiky hair to Kakashi's but black color and a girl with long black hair. They all had headbands with a music note on it. "Want to mess with them?" He asked his teammates.

The spiky haired one smirked. "Why not?" He replied as he was ready to go.

"It'll be fun. . .for us at least." The girl said as the three started to rush in at the Konoha genin.

Naruto's sharp ears heard something moving in at fast velocity. "Crap!" He muttered as saw them coming.

"Well someone hates to sit around." The Kyūbi joked as he knew something like this was going to happen sooner or later

The blond then looked his teammates, who nodded in agreement as the trio charged forward.

The attackers in a moment reached their location, but the one with bandages cocked back his fist that had a larger metal gauntlet and aim it at Kabuto.

Naruto was the first to appear in front of the bandaged guy as he stopped him his fist mid swing.

Hinata dashed to held the girl's hand and sent a small Gentle Fist to make her wince in pain.

Sasuke rushed in as he appeared behind the spiky haired kid, foot on his back and grabbing both his hands, to see holes in the palms of his hand.

"Planning to do something?" Naruto questioned with a dead serious tone as he started to released some of his killing intent to stop the one that tried to attack Kabuto and shocking the rookies to a small extent.

"Shit!" The bandaged guy said as he was engulfed with killing intent.

"Enough." Hinata firmly ordered with a voice filled with confidence.

"Ow!" The girl shouted in pain at the action.

"Well, this is interesting." Sasuke meanwhile commented. "More like gross." Satsuki meanwhile remarked at seeing the holes in his hands.

"The hell!? Let me go you bastard!" The spiky haired boy ordered as he struggled to break free.

"Yeah. . .no." Sasuke immediately retorted.

"Impressive. . ." Kabuto commented, everyone was so focus on the trio that they missed the weird almost obsessive and sick smile that the white haired boy gave as his eyes were focus on the boy in front of him, but just as quickly he returned to the shock one.

"Hmm?" The Kyūbi got out when he felt something terribly sick emotion but it disappeared before he could had pin point it. "What was that?" He then questioned with a serious tone.

Most of the rookies were in shocked at this impressive display, they expected Sasuke to show that as he was their class rookie of the year, but they never thought that both Naruto's, the dead last, and Hinata, the shy wallflower, could reached this level.

"Huh, not bad Naruto." Chōji commented with an impressed tone.

Ino's jaw meanwhile slightly dropped at the Hyuga's actions. "W-What the-!? W-Was that really Hinata?" She thought with a completely baffled expression.

The platinum blonde couldn't believe the change that the shy wallflower that the she knew during her time at the academy could be like this. "Did Naruto really have that much of an affect her?" She then wondered with curiosity as she looked at her fellow blond.

There was a silent moment as both the trio and the attackers were at a stand still, both ready to attack if necessary.

Elsewhere in the room. . .

"Well, it looks like the blondie's teammates also have some skills." Temari pointed out with an amused smirk.

Kankurō meanwhile narrowed his eyes at the sight. "Great, more annoying brats. . ." He grumbled out.

Gaara meanwhile looked at the Team Seven members intently.

In another part of the room. . .

Lee had a fire in his eyes as he witnessed what Team Seven. "Impressive, Sasuke's teammates are just as good as him, it must have been the results of training with Kakashi Hatake." He soon stated his deduction.

Tenten meanwhile nodded in agreement to this. "Yeah, they stopped those three like it was nothing." She analyzed.

Neji meanwhile said nothing as he glared at the female Hyuga.

However everyone's questions of the trio were put to a halt though when. . .

PLOOM!

A large puff of smoke exploded at the front of the classroom this made most inside of the room to looked at the source.

After a few moment the smoke cleared, revealing a very tall man in a black trench coat while many more older shinobis were at his side staring them all down like hawks watching their prey. "Alright you ungrateful insects! Knock it off before I throw you out of the exam!" The man ordered in a demanding tone as he glared at the two groups that were in ready to fight.

This caused Team Seven and their attackers to stop and separate themselves or risk getting expelled from the test.

Seeing this the man turn back his attention to the rest. "Good, now my name is Ibuki Morino and I'll be the proctor for this part of the Chunin Exam." The man now named Ibuki introduced himself.

"Now let me make this perfectly clear, there is no fighting allowed without the permission of a proctor and even then no deadly force is allowed. That being said you Sound Shinobi!" Ibiki declared while he pointed at the attackers. "Don't make me have to expel you before the exams even begin!" He roared in anger.

"Sorry, this is our first exams, so we are a bit. . .antsy." The bandaged genin with the music note headband explained as he suppressed a chuckle along with his teammates.

"Antsy my ass dattebayo. . ." Naruto thought with annoyance.

"Now everyone give you applications to one of us proctors and they will give you a number, once you got it you will sit in your assigned seats, it's time to start the first part of the exam!" Ibiki then roared the order.

Every single shinobi quickly scrambled to give their applications and receiving their numbers as they then seated in their assigned seats, once their they found papers there waiting for them.

Luckily, Naruto was fortunate to be placed next to Hinata, however the blond's thoughts were on other things. "Eh?" He got out at the sight of the paper, as it was in a position he knew so well what it could only meant. "No. . .no, no, no, NO! IT'S A WRITTEN TEST!" He roared in his mind with despaired.

"Idiot. . ." The demonic fox meanwhile deadpanned.

"Naruto-kun. . ." Hinata got out in sympathy, knowing that this type of things wasn't her boyfriend's strong point. At that moment however, she just realized that she was sitting next to him. "Huh, convenient. . ." She then thought but she wasn't complaining.

All around the young genin, the older shinobis were sitting around them, each one having a note pad and a pen on hand.

"This first Exam has few important rules. I will not accept any questions, so listen carefully." Ibiki began.

"Just great. . ." Naruto and Satsuki thought in unison.

"First rule is you all are given 10 points at the start. The written exam consists of 10 questions, each one is worth 1 point. This test is a deduction based test." Ibiki started to explain as he wrote on the chalkboard. "If you get one problem wrong, you will get one point deducted. If you get three problems wrong, your points will be reduced to seven." He explained as he then gave a quick example.

"Ah shit. . ." Satsuki then thought while Sasuke narrowed his eyes.

"Second rule, the pass-fail decision will be determined by your team's total points." Ibiki then revealed.

"Urk!" Naruto grunted out, now starting to feel sick.

"Wait! You team's total points? What!?" Sakura screeched in confusion.

"Shut up! There is a reason for this so just shut up and listen." Ibiki shouted in annoyance, instantly silencing the girl.

"Now that you know, let's move on to the next rule. If an examiner determines that you cheated or do something similar during the test. . .each action will cause you to lose two points." Ibiki declared with satisfaction on his face.

"Wait what?" Satsuki then wondered in confusion.

"Only two?" Hinata thought.

"In other words, there will be people who will be forced to leave this place without their test being graded." Ibiki continued explaining.

"Dammit. . ." Naruto then grumbled out.

"Those who try to cheat without thinking carefully will only hurt themselves." Ibiki stated in a serious matter.

"We'll check you at any time." One of the examiners declared with an intimidating grin on his face.

"Good to know. . ." Naruto got out in annoyance at being watch.

"Hmm. . ." Hinata got out as she decided to stay quiet.

"Troublesome. . ." Shikamaru muttered out while rubbing the back of his head.

"You are all trying to become Chunins. If you are a ninja, act like a first-rate one." Ibiki declared with a sadistic smile on his face.

"Oh no. . .Naru-kun. . ." Satsuki thought as she paled at what might possibly happen.

Hinata then quickly glanced at her blond teammate. "He was never good at test taking. . ." She reminded herself in her head.

"Also, if anyone in a team gets a zero, everyone on that team will fail." Ibiki soon declared with a serious tone.

"Wait what!?" Satsuki thought with shocked.

"Oh no. . ." Hinata mumbled out quietly.

"FUUUUUCK!" Naruto once more groaned out in his head.

"And. . .your fucked." The Kyūbi declared without a hint of sympathy.

"The last problem will be given forty-five minutes after the exam begins." Ibiki concluded the explanation of the rules. "You have one hour for the exam." He then stated.

The clock then began ticking as Ibiki waited until the clocked reached exactly three-thirty.

"BEGIN!" Ibiki declared loudly as the first part of the Chunin Exams begin.

Heads were soon bent down and papers flipped over as the genin took their first looks at the paper. Naruto and Hinata were next to each other in the second row while Sasuke was in the fourth row between a Kiri and Taki shinobis, not noticing a Kusa shinobi was eyeing him.

"Alright then. . .time to pass this." The members of Team Seven thought.

Then the trio began to carefully read the questions, but our favorite blond was having some. . .internal conflict.

"WHAT DO MEAN YOU WON'T HELP ME?!" Naruto thought as he yelled at the Bijū.

The Kyūbi started to chuckle at this. "Hey I may be a millennium year old, but I don't know squat about tests." He stated in a serious matter. "It's like you trying to know quantum physics." He then joked as he continued chuckling.

"Not funny!" Naruto harshly muttered as he then decided to start trying answering the questions.

"You humans are too easy it fool." Kyūbi commented, chucking some more. "Or maybe it's just you." He added.

"Shut it." Naruto thought as began to read the questions, but as he read the first one and saw a large random word and number pile in and equally random order, he simply gave a very fake smile. "What the hell is this!?" He shouted in his mind as he didn't understood a single word that the question said.

Sasuke meanwhile saw his blond teammate and scowled at the sight. "Shit, Naru-kun's not doing well. This isn't his strong suit. . ." Satsuki commented as she then looked at her own test. "But this test. . .This is way harder than anything I ever heard of!" She then added as she completely understood what her boyfriend was possibly going through.

"Question two," Hinata then started as she continued to read over the exam. "Line B shown in the picture is the greatest possible distance a shinobi can throw a shuriken from a tree of seven meters. For enemies for appear within the circumference of the shuriken's range, explain the attack opinions using this distance. Make sure to also show your work." She finished reading.

The Hyuga soon slightly narrowed her eyes after fully processed the question. "This question is even harder than the lectures my clan ever tested on me. . ." Hinata analysed with a tone full of suspicion.

Suddenly out of nowhere, a Suna genin stood up as he raised a hand. "Excuse me, I would just like to know but. . .how many teams will pass this test?" He then questioned as this gained everyone's attention.

Ibuki simply chuckle in a menacing tone at hearing the question. "It's not like knowing will help you. . ." He began as his face turn equally menacing as he tone. "Or do you want to be disqualified." He concluded.

"S-Sorry. . " The Suna shinobi instantly replied with fear as he sat back to his sit to that while everyone else in the room also went back to their exams.

Sasuke meanwhile blinked as he looked over all the questions. "I. . .I honestly can't answer a single damn one. . ." Satsuki admitted in a slightly fear filled tone at the idea.

Like Hinata, the Uchiha too was homeschooled by her strict father for a while before going to the academy, however these questions were far beyond anything she had ever learned.

Then the Uchiha looked at the last question and narrowed her eyes.

"This question will be revealed forty-five minutes after the test begins. Listen to the examiner closely before answering." The paper stated at the bottom

"Whats up with this question anyway?" Satsuki added after she read the strange description of the last question.

"Seriously!? How the hell!? I can't answer even one dattebayo!?" Naruto roared with even more panic."

The Kyūbi however let out a sigh from all the inner screaming, that he decided to read just to see why he was freaking out. "Hmm. . .like I said, I know squat of test. . .but this. . .I can see only a seasoned jonin should only be able to solve something like this." He commented.

"Now that I think about it. . ." Satsuki then started as she recalled the proctor's words.

"This questions are even harder then most seasoned chunin would know." Hinata continued the same line of thought as her teammate.

The Bijū then began to think of what he knew about test from the time he had saw his host did before. "Also, why do you get deducted points if your caught cheating? Didn't your scar teacher say that if your caught cheating you will fail those test? While I'm at it, I notice that these proctors are all making sure you work on these exam?" He then questioned in a serious tone. "It is as if they want you to cheat." He soon stated.

As if the trio had heard the the Bijū, they all came to the same realization. "We have to cheat!" The trio thought in unison.

"So that's it. . .this is a exam for information gathering. . ." Satsuki thought with a smirk. "That is something a shinobi must always have during a mission. . ." She then remembered.

"We have to make sure that we do not get caught as we gather information. . ." Hinata meanwhile thought. "Which mean. . .there might be fake genins here that will have all the answers. . ." She then realized to herself.

At the realization of actually having to cheat, Sasuke activated his Sharingan to copy the moments of one of the shinobi writing the answers. "Wow, this guy's smart as hell! I hit the jackpot with this sucker!" She then thought with amusement and glee.

Hinata meanwhile activated her Byakugan so that she could see the answers herself.

Then all of the rest of the chunin hopefuls also realized this and began to used their own skills and jutsu to cheat. Some used unique jutsu that only the caster could use while others like Kiba and Shino used their companions to quietly cheat for them. Meanwhile, other with more cunning mind used things like mirrors and wires to see the tests of others.

As for Naruto however. . .

"THAT DOESN'T DO ME ANY GOOD! I DON'T KNOW HOW I CAN CHEAT WITHOUT GETTING CAUGHT!" Naruto roared in both panic and despair within his mind.

The reason for this? Well after all the blond always failed on cheating back since the school days since Iruka easily spot him and with actual trained shinobi actually see when their cheating then it was a given that he was out of luck.

After thinking long and hard of what he could do and could think of nothing. "WE'RE SCREWED!" Naruto shouted in his mind.

The Kyūbi however let out yet another sigh. "If you can't answer any of the nine question, why don't you just wait for the last question?" He then suggested. "Knowing his insane gambling luck, he will pass this by betting on this. . ." He told himself.

"THAT'S IT!" Naruto shouted in glee as he decided to do just that. However before he decided to wait he remembered something as the blond then turned his paper over as he started to write. "Better warn the old man about that Kabuto guy, mainly about him smelling like snakes that aren't Anko-sensei's." He thought as he wrote the message.

"Naruto-kun," Hinata whispered. "Are you going to be ok?" She asked with concern when she saw that he didn't answered a single question.

Naruto nodded as he looked at her while his face was still facing forward so that they won't think he was cheating. "Yeah, Kyūbi decided to help me by telling me that if I can't cheat then it was best to bet it all on the last question." He whispered back.

"I guess that's the best. . ." Hinata replied with hesitation, she didn't like this but she also knew that this was the best the blond could do in this situation.

Naruto let out an awkward chuckle as he knew what her girlfriend was thinking. "Though not before he enjoyed watching me suffer. . ." He added as he began to grumble in annoyance.

This made Hinata giggled awkwardly with a sweat-drop. "He loves to mess with you, doesn't he?" She questioned as she felt somewhat relieve from that.

"Yes. . .yes he does." Naruto whispered back with a deadpan tone as he then remembered of the most common subject the Bijū liked messing with him. "That and he's frickin' obsessed with wanting me to get laid with both of them dattebayo!" He then thought with irritation.

"Oh shut it kit, you know you would like it!" Kyūbi soon retorted, making the blond blush as he then chuckle. "Knew it." He added.

"Shut it!" Naruto roared in his mind as his face was red.

Sasuke soon deactivated his Sharingan after finishing the questions as he then looked at his teammates. "Looks like Nata-chan figured it out as well. . .Naru-kun however looks like he's come up with something. . .I really hope it works." Satsuki thought with anxiety about her boyfriend was planning to do as she looked at the test. "Now to wait for the last question. . ." She then thought in determination.

Sasuke then felt some killing intent directed straight at him. He slightly turned to see the bandaged Oto shinobi glaring at him before returning to his test. "Prick. . ." He muttered as he started to look at the ceiling. . .

WHOOSH!

"WHOA!" A genin behind Naruto got out as he saw a kunai embedded in the table and paper.

"The hell!?" Naruto thought in shock to the sudden action.

"Someone got caught. . ." The Kyūbi then stated in a calm tone.

"W-WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR!?" The genin got out in a confused and fear filled tone.

The proctor that threw the kunai smirked as he looked at the startled genin. "You screwed up five time." He answered. "Which means you failed." He then added.

"N-No way. . .!" The genin got out in shock.

"Now you and your teammates are to leave immediately." The proctor then ordered in a dead serious tone.

To this, the shocked genin along with his teammates stood up as they began to leave the room.

Ino slightly raised her eyes and looked at Sakura. "Looks like Sakura's hand has stopped. Its finally time to do it." She thought to herself in satisfaction.

Then carefully, the platinum blonde girl began to make a hand seal. "I will have to acknowledge the size of your forehead and your intelligence, so be thankful. That will be the target of this jutsu." Ino thought as she let out a silent giggle. "Here I go, Mind Transfer Jutsu." She ended as she then lean down as if she fell asleep.

Shikamaru and Chōji soon saw this and as they both gain a cold sweat from the fear of this plan not working.

"Ino's fallen asleep. She must have begun that jutsu." Shikamaru thought to himself.

"That's one jutsu you can't resist. . ." Chōji added in his mind.

Sakura's body meanwhile jerked as her eyes went blanked for a moment before they return to normal but she let out a giggle. "Sorry. . ." Sakura whispered out.

Inside of the green and pink haired girl was Ino. "I'm going to enter your spirit for a little while. . ." She thought to herself.

Then the girl looked at Sakura's test. "I have to memorize these quickly, two to three minutes is this jutsu's time limit. I have to enter Shikamaru and Chōji so that I can copy these answers for them too." Ino stated to herself while grinning.

"Number 102, fail!" A proctor then declared. "Number 23, fail!" He continued.

"NO! IT CAN'T BE! I DIDN'T EVEN DO ANYTHING!" A genin exclaimed as he was being dragged out of the room.

"THIS IS BULLSHIT! HOW CAN YOU SAY I CHEATED FIVE TIME!?" Another genin ranted as he stood up and slammed a hand on the table. "THERE'S NO WAY YOU CAN CONCENTRATE ON ALL OF US!" He then roared. "WHERE'S YOUR-!?" He then began to question, however. . .

BAM!

The same ranting genin was suddenly forced up against the wall and began struggling for air as a proctor held him up with a smug look. "Listen, among Chunins, we are the elites that were assembled to watch over this exam." He then explained in a menacing tone. "We haven't missed a thing you've done. You can say that this strength is our proof." He then stated.

"Numbers 43 and 27, fail!" Another proctor declared.

"FUCK! NO WAY!" One of the genin roared in defiance.

WHAM! CRASH!

"AUGH!" The same genin cried out in pain from being detained by the proctor.

As the examiners were continuing stating the failed genin, Ibiki's attention was towards Gaara. "Hmm. . .What's that kid up to?" He wondered to himself.

"Completely calm during all of this. . ." Ibiki stated as the proctor then saw that Gaara placed his index and middle finger on his left eye. "Very impressive. . ." He stated with a smirk and grinning all the while.

"Shukaku's brat is going at it. . ." The Kyūbi then advised in a calm tone, to which his container just nodded in response and said nothing more.

Then as if on cue, sand began to gather on the palm of Gaara's left hand. The sand the slowly began to take the shape of a ball until it turn into an eyeball.

"The Third Eye. . .is opened!" Gaara declared in his mind as he could see through what the sand eyeball saw.

Then with a swift motion, he crushed the eyeball letting the sand dispersed.
The sand then began to float towards a Konoha genin as he was writing his answers. The genin's eye flinched in pain. "Ugh! Dust in my eye." He thought with annoyance as he began to rub his eyes.

However as he was rubbing his eyes, the sand once again began to gather until it formed the same eyeball right on top of the genins test.

This let Gaara see all the answers that the genin had written and began to copying them down on his on test.

One of the examiners turn his attention towards the genin who was still rubbing his eyes, however he did it too late as Gaara had already turn the eyeball back to sand, leaving the action completely hidden and impossible for him to lose any points.

Afterwards, more and more genin either continue cheatin using very unique ways or being being caught and fail.

Once the forty-five minute time limit was about to end, Ibiki looked over those that remained.

"We will begin the 10th question." Ibiki declared.

Every single genin waited with both fear and anticipation for the final question, more so a certain blond.

"Just say it already!" Naruto roared in his mind as he couldn't deal with the pressure.

"Now. . .before we get to it. . .I'd like to go over the added rules that are strictly for this question." Ibiki stated with a long and dragging tone.

To hearing this statement, all of the genin were startled by what they could be about.

Taking a sick pleasure of the startled expressions, Ibiki chuckled before his eyes narrowed. "These are the rules of desperation. . ." He declared with dead serious tone.

At the Hokage tower. . .

The jonin senseis and Haku meanwhile were relaxing some time off as their students were at the exams.

"Well. . ." Kakashi got out getting everyone's attention. "It sure is boring without my team. The missions will have to wait." He commented with a lazy tone.

"Don't worry you'll be busy again soon." Asuma stated with a sure tone.

"Why is that Asuma-san?" Haku asked, not understanding the meaning of that.

Asuma then breathed a puff f smoke from his cigarette as he looked at the other jonins and Haku. "I heard that the examiner for the first test is Morino Ibiki." He revealed.

To hearing that, the silver haired jonin groaned at the name. "Oh. . .not that sadist. . ." Kakashi commented as he sweat drop. "Passing the first test may be difficult for them. . ." He thought to himself.

"Sadist?" Kurenai repeated in confusion.

"Um. . .who is this Ibiki-san?" Haku meanwhile questioned with an equally confused tone as the kunoichi.

"Right. . .Kurenai is a new jounin and Haku is new in general to the village so you two wouldn't know." Asuma stated in a calm tone.

Kurenai had an annoyed expression at being stated to be a newby. "Who is he?" She simply asked.

"A pro. . ." Asuma simply answered.

"A pro?" Haku soon questioned, not understanding what the smoking jonin meant.

"Of what exactly?" Kurenai then asked.

Asuma then took a deep smoke of his cigarette and with a large grin on his face, turned to the confused duo. "Torture and Interrogation." He revealed.

This shocked the two from the fear of what kind of things their student's will face.

Back in the examination room. . .

There was a long and heavy atmosphere that was caused after Ibiki declared that there will be rules for the last question.

"Rules of desperation?" Naruto thought with fear as he gave a nervous gulp.

After another moment, Ibiki looked at the remaining genin before he looked at them in general. "First, for this 10th question. . ." He began as he waited a few moments. "You must decide whether you will take it or not." He finally finished.

The description of the first rule confused many. "Choose whether to take it?" Satsuki thought with confusion.

"Choose!? What happens if we choose not to!?" Temari shouted as she was more vocal with her confusion.

Ibiki didn't reply immediately as he closed his eyes as if he was gathering his thoughts. "It you choose not to, your points will be reduced to zero. . ." He finally replied with a dead serious expression and tone. "You fail! Along with you two teammates." He then added.

At the answer the response was immediately. "What does that mean!?" One genin shouted.

"Then of course we will decide to take the question!" Another genin soon added.

However Ibiki didn't looked bothered or annoyed. "And now. . .the other rule." He soon declared.

"Another rule? Why is this last question have more rules then it should?" Hinata thought with confusion as she found this very suspicion.

"If you choose to take it. . .and answer incorrectly. . ." Ibiki continued as he dragged the rule as much as possible. "That person will lose the right to take the Chunin Exams again." He finally finished.

"A lose-lose situation. . ." The Kyūbi soon stated in a serious tone and narrow eyes.

"WHAT!?" Kiba yelled out. "THAT'S BULLSHIT! WHAT KIND OF STUPID RULE IS THAT!? THERE ARE GUYS HERE WHO HAVE TAKEN THE EXAM BEFORE!" He then roared.

As if waiting for this reaction, Ibiki began to chuckle with a cruel tone. This action shocked most of them into silence. "You guys were unlucky. This year it's my rules." He declared with a sadistic and cruel tone.

"THAT'S STILL FUCKIN' BULLSHIT!" Another genin ranted in anger to the thought of this happening.

"YEAH! WHAT GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO MAKE IT SO WE CAN NEVER BECOME CHUNINS!?" Another then questioned.

"Deal with it! My exam! My rules!" Ibiki soon bellowed out while letting out a large amount of killing intent, instantly shutting up most of the loud genins. "If you choose to take the last question it's your choice, if you answer it incorrectly however, not only will you fail, but you'll never be able to take the Chunin Exams again!" He stated again.

"Y-You gotta be kidding me. . ." Sakura muttered out.

"I am dead serious." Ibiki responded with the same sadistic grin. "Those that aren't confident can chose not to take it. . .and try again next year. So, anyone who wants to leave?" He then questioned as his grin never left his face.

At the Hokage Tower. . .

Both Kurenai and Haku were still confused by what Asuma had just said.

"Wait! Their actually allowed to torture the genin!?" Kurenai soon questioned with fear.

"While I know that's vital to be used to, isn't it a bit to much for a pro to do such a thing on inexperience genin? And even seasoned ones would still be too much." Haku stated with worry filled tone.

"Well. . .there may not be physical torture while taking a test. . ." Asuma quickly declared to put the kunoichi's fear to rest. "But they must be experiencing mental suffering brought on by his interrogation skills." He then clarified.

At this clarification made the two somewhat relief at the thought of not being any physical torture, thought they still were worried for their students and friends.

"Special Jonin Ibiki Morino, lead assassination squad, torture and interrogation captain." Kakashi listed off the details of the current proctor. "That man is so good at his job that he only need to use words to make the genin self destroy themselves." He then added.

"Not to mention that he actually enjoys doing that. . ." Asuma soon added with a chuckle

This made both Kurenai and Haku gain a deadpan expression. "So that's why he's a sadist. . ." They thought in unison.

Back in the examination room. . .

A moment of uneasy silence then went through the room as many of the genin were unsure what to do. . .

"This is insane. . ." One genin got out in a fear filled tone.

"I can't take it. . ." Another admitted in shame.

"To take a test that you have no way of knowing you can pass?" Another repeated.

"Who would choose to risk taking the test with some much on the line. . ." One more questioned.

"Maybe its best to wait when this guy isn't the proctor. . ." Another then decided.

This and many more thoughts and whispers of the genins giving up could be heard all around the room.

"I'm sorry guys. . ." One genin apologized to his teammates as he and his team stood up and left.

"Numbers 50, 130 and 111, all fail!" A proctor announced.

Then slowly one by one genins began to raised their hands and gave up, this continued for a little bit, but it was enough to make the remaining genin feel much more tense and nervous.

At that point, multiple genin besides the Konoha's rookie 12 teams, Kabuto's team, the Suna team involving Gaara and his siblings, the Oto team that were the three that attempted to attack Kabuto and a few others started to give up and left, leaving only 78 genin left.

"Naru-kun. . ." Satsuki thought in worry.

"Naruto-kun. . ." Hinata meanwhile muttered out in concern.

The reason for this was the two Team Seven members noticed that their blond teammate was shaking.

"Oi. . .You ain't quitting are you kit?" The demonic fox then questioned in a serious tone.

". . ." Naruto however said nothing in response to his tenant's question.

Then in one swift of the blond's hand, he raised it as high as he could. This action shocked everyone that actually knew the boy. However soon after he gave off a determined expression.

BAM!

Naruto suddenly slammed his hand as hard as he could at his table, shocking everyone but the older shinobi. "Don't you dare underestimate me! I will never run!" He roared with courage and conviction.

This time everyone, be it genin or examiners looked at the blond genin with confusion or slight interest.

Naruto then smirked as he looked on at the proctor. "You heard me! I'll take it even if it means I'll be a genin for the rest of my life! I'll will become Hokage and a true hero! So there's no way in hell I'll back down dattebayo!" He declared with some much courage that left everyone around him stunned.

The Kyūbi let out a huff to that. "Way did I even bother asking. . ." He got out with a small chuckle of amusement.

Sasuke soon smirked at the sight, however, Satsuki was gushing over her blond teammate. "Man! Naru-kun's definitely the best! He's so brave and heroic!" She sighed out in a love filled tone.

The girl had to take inner deep breath so that she could calm herself down from her gushing moment as she then looked at the blond. "I can never forget now why I fell in love with him. . ." She then stated with determination and honesty.

Hinata meanwhile smiled gently and nodded in agreement to what her boyfriend declared. "He's right, I have already come so far, I can't lose now." She decided in her head with her own determination.

"I'll ask you again. Your life is riding on this decision. This is your last chance to quit." Ibiki asked again, but this was more so to Naruto then anyone else. "Leave or face the possibility of being genin forever!" He concluded.

Naruto however didn't waver or looked away from the intense stare Ibiki was giving him. "I don't ever go back on my word. . .That is my nindo, my shinobi way!" He declared with zero hesitation in his voice.

At this declaration of unwavering conviction and courage made everyone that knew the blond with both surprised or interested while those that was left in the room, their once fear expressions changed into a new found resolution.

On the outside, Ibiki looked on at this with the same emotionless expression but on the inside it was the complete opposite. "Interesting kid, he completely blasted everyone's worries with his speech." He thought to himself.

The leader of the interrogation made a quick observation of the remaining teams. "78 left. . .more than I expected. . ." Ibiki thought with an impressed tone. "Stretching this any longer won't make any difference." He concluded.

Ibiki then looked at the other examiners and as if know what he wanted to asked they all nodded in complete agreement.

"Good decisions. Now to everyone still remaining. . ." Ibiki began to say.

Everyone waited with both anxious and slight fear as they awaited for the final question that will decide their fates.

"All I have to say is. . .you all have passed the First Exam! I congratulate you!" Ibiki declared loudly.

The fox Tailed Beast then blinked a couple of times as he heard that declaration. "Well then. . . that was anticlimactic. . ." He thought to himself.

It was quiet for a minute before the classroom erupted with noise.

"W-What the!?" Sakura exclaimed in confusion. "What the hell just happened!? What about the tenth question!?" She then asked.

Ibiki then began to chuckled in good humor as he looked at the confused genin. "There is no tenth question, the decision to say itself was the question all along." He then revealed as he had a wide grin on his face.

Temari meanwhile stood up as she placed both hands on the table. "So what? The other nine questions had no purpose whatsoever?" She then questioned in rising anger.

"On the contrary, they did have a point. They had the purpose and it was fulfilled." Ibiki told the sister of the sand siblings, however her face clearly shouted that she didn't understood him. "To test your individual information and gathering abilities." He then clarified with a much more cheerful tone than the one he had before.

"It's like he completely changed personalities. . ." Temari thought to herself as she sweat dropped. "'Information gathering?'" She then asked, still not understanding.

"First, as the rules had been explained. . .success on this test is based on the whole team doing well or risked failing if just one had failed." Ibiki began to explain as he looked at the whole classroom. "This will put extreme pressure on each member of the team so that they will try not mess things up for the sake of their group." He continued.

Naruto meanwhile smirked to this as he nodded. "Now that was obvious dattebayo." He stated in a slightly bragging tone.

"Bull fucking shit kit and you know it. . .you nearly wet yourself back there. . ." The Kyūbi meanwhile deadpanned.

Hinata meanwhile giggled at the display while Sasuke just smirked as Satsuki held back her own set of giggles from escaping.

"But the questions on this test were not the type a mere genin could ever hope to answer. I'm sure most of you had come to that same conclusion. . .To score points you will need to cheat." Ibiki furthered explain.

"Whew, glad I was right about that." Satsuki meanwhile thought in relief to this reveal.

"Basically. . .the sole purpose of this test was to cheat. So to make sure you all could cheat, so for cheating targets we had placed two or so chunins that already knew all the answers mixed in the room to help you guys cheat from." Ibiki decaled as the said chunins were either smiling or grinning.

"Fuuuuuck! I could've cheated all along! The guy was right in front of me dattebayo!" Naruto then exclaimed.

"Feel like an idiot huh kit?" The demonic fox then remarked with a witty smirk.

"Oh shut up." Naruto then deadpanned.

"So that's why, the guy I copied was a fake genin." Satsuki thought.

"So I was right, two fakes to purposely give us the answers for cheating." Hinata meanwhile stated.

Unaffected by the blond's outburst, Ibiki hands went to the knot that held his bandana in place and began to untie it. "But those that cheat poorly. . .fail, of course." He declared as he then removed his bandana.

Everyone let out a loud gasp of shocked and fear at what they had seen.

"Jeez, not even that idiot Hashirama had anything like that. Even with his healing abilities. . .never gained wounds that bad after fighting me and that asshole Madara. . ." The Kyūbi admitted at the sight. "Nor my own old man. . ." He then thought to himself.

What they saw was that Ibiki's head had massive scars of different styles. His head had massive burns, hole like scars, gashes and more. "Because. . .at times information is more important than life. . .and on missions and the battlefield, people risk their lives to get their hands on it." He declared with a dead serious tone.

"That makes sense. . .especially after what we all been though. . ." Satsuki then thought in a dead serious tone.

"I was always told about this during my lessons. . .though I never thought it would be that bad. . ." Hinata then admitted to herself.

"Damn. . .just. . .damn. . ." Naruto simply got out before calming himself down and gave a determined expression. "If that's what it takes to become Hokage, bring it on. . ." He then thought with even more determination.

Ibiki then placed his bandana back on to cover his head. "If the enemy or a 3rd party notices you. . .there is no guarantee the info will be accurate. . ." He began to explain as he narrow his eyes and stare at everyone with sharp eyes while he was tying his bandana. "I want you to remember this. Important information in your hands. . .can be a powerful weapon for your comrades and for your village. So we had you gathered information through cheating. This clearly separated those that did not have the right abilities." He concluded.

Temari had a face that somewhat understood but still had doughts. "But. . .I don't understand the final question." She got out.

With a zip sound, Ibiki finally tied his bandana as a wide smile appeared on his face. "But the 10th question was the true purpose of this test." He declared.

"Huh? What the hell does that mean?" Sakura then asked in confusion.

"Yeah! What forehead said!" Ino rarely agreed with a nod.

"SHUT IT INO-PIG!" Sakura then roared back with her own insult.

"Let me explained. . ." Ibiki declared in a calmed manner. "The 10th questions was a take it or not take it decision. . ." He stated.

This explanation only made the genins more confused.

Knowing that this wasn't enough, the proctor continued. "Obviously these were painful choices either way. Those who choose the latter fail along with their teammates. Those who choose to take it. . .could lose the chance to take the test again. . .A true leap of faith." He explained.

"Risk it all or die trying." Sasuke then stated.

Hinata nodded in agreement to this. "A duty of any shinobi." She agreed with her teammate.

"Now about these two choices. . .Lets just say that you guys become chunins. Your mission is to steal a secret document. The amount of shinobis, their abilities, etc. is completely unknown to you. And of course there could be traps set all around you." Ibiki stated the made up shinobi mission.

"Now do you accept or not accept?" Ibiki then asked. "Because you don't want to die. . .because you don't want your comrades hurt. . .can you avoid this dangerous mission?" He asked them all. "The answer is NO!" He declared with courage.

"No matter what the danger. . .there are mission you can't avoid. The ability to be courageous . . .and survive any hardship. . .This is the ability needed to become a chunin captain." Ibiki declared with conviction.

Naruto then slightly looked down at his blank paper with the shadows covering his eyes as a smile appeared in his face. "I've already been through that in my life. . .and I'm still alive." He thought as he balled his hand into a fist.

The demonic meanwhile just sighed in response to that. "Tell me about it. . .your harder to kill than a cockroach. . ." He remarked in slight annoyance.

Naruto mentally scoffed to that. "That just means I'm stronger than you think." He then reminded with a smirk.

"Those who can't put their destinies on the line. . .who would cling to the uncertain future of 'there's always next year'. . ." Ibiki began with a slight irritated tone. "Those pieces of trash who can only make such cowardly choices. . .Don't have the right to become chunin. . .That's how I feel!" He roared with anger.

Then the proctor remembered Naruto's courage's declaration that had inspired many. "Those who choose to take it. . .answered the tough 10th questions correctly. You will be able to survive any troubles you face in the future." Ibiki declared with sincerity in his voice. "You made it through the entrance. The first test of the Chunin exams is now finished. "I wish you guys luck." He finished as he smiled happily.

"Yes!" Naruto cheered as he pumped a fist. "One down!" He then added in excitement.

"There's still more to go for this." The demonic fox then reminded.

Ibiki chuckled as he watched the blond small cheer. "This kid is an interesting one. . ." He thought to himself in amusement.

Suddenly, Ibiki felt something coming from his right at fast speeds, a big black ball shot through the window. Then from inside, four kunais that were attached to each corner of the large banner spread as it completely covered Ibiki, introducing the next proctor which was someone our favorite trio knew so well.

"Yo guys!" A female voice suddenly began. "This is no time to be celebrating!" She then added.

"No way! She's the next proctor!?" The members of the Team Seven thought in momentary shock as they saw a familiar jonin before they smiled at her.

The Kyūbi meanwhile smirked at the sight. "This is so going to be much more interesting. . .for me that is." He stated with a chuckle.

"My name is Anko Mitarashi and I am the proctor for the second part of the exam!" She revealed while grinning and gave them all a thumbs-up.

"Anko. . .can't you read the mood?" Ibiki soon questioned as he peeked from around the banner.

To which Anko replied with a sweatdropped while she blushed in embarrassment as all her enthusiasm completely disappeared and then she looked around the room. "Ibiki you left so many teams. You're slipping in your old age." She commented with a smirk.

"Or maybe we just had a crop this year." Ibiki countered with a smirk of his own.

Anko looked at the genin to see Naruto, Sasuke and Hinata before smirking. "I see what you mean." She thought with amusement. "Bah! That's fine! I'll at least cut them in half in the second test!" She declared loudly with with complete confidence.

"H-Hu!? More than half? Sakura meekly got out.

Well, anyhow. Your next exam will be held in training ground forty-four tomorrow at 5 AM! You better not be late or you're disqualified!" She ordered.

As the Team Seven members gather and began to leave, they all noticed Anko smirking at them and giving a small thumbs up.

After everyone had left, Ibiki began to gather the test sheets from around the room, but stopped when he got to a certain sheet. He was startled for a moment before he chuckled when he saw the answers. "I just passed a genin that didn't answer a single question." He then stated with amusement. "Naruto Uzumaki. . .a very interesting guy. . ." He added.

Then the leader of the interrogation team noticed the note on the back on Naruto's paper.

"Yo Scarface," Ibiki groaned at the nickname as he could clearly saw that it was written later than the rest of the letters, most likely after he saw his scars.

"That Kabuto Yakushi guy seems to know a bit more information than he should about everyone here. I would suggest you keep an eye on him. Also, he also seemed to have the smell of snakes on him that weren't Anko-sensei's and she told me that if I do I should tell someone. Give this paper to the old man, meaning the Hokage." The note on the test said.

Ibiki narrow his eyes dangerously as he turned to one of his assistants. "Finish up here. I need to go talk to Hokage-sama." He ordered as he received nods of understanding he walked out to the bring the paper to the Hokage.

That night. . .

Soon the night rolled into Konoha as the moon shined down on the village. As the civilians, normal and drunk, began to come out, secrets were going though as they slithered between the cracks.

Our favorite trio decided that before they headed home, they would take a ramen break at Ichiraku's.

"Maaaaan! That was easy as hell dattebayo!" Naruto stated in relief as he waited for his ramen.

Hinata meanwhile sighed in relief at remembering the test. "I am just happy that we were all able to pass." She replied in a calm tone.

"After learning that is was actually a test for gathering information, it was easy." Sasuke declared with a smirk on his face.

"Got right teme! We all figured it out and passed it easily!" Naruto then boasted.

Suddenly Naruto's body glowed briefly red, before the chakra was sent to his stomach and then a blur of dark read chakra came out as the chibi form of the Kyūbi came out on his lap. "Right. . .and the fact that you completely lucked out on the last question had nothing to do with it, right?" He whispered his comment as he then jump onto the counter and began to eat his host food.

Naruto then narrowed his eyes to the tiny fox. "Hey! Scarface said so!" He reminded via mental link to make sure that no one could hear him talking to the chibi version of his tenant before he realized a very important thing. "AND QUIT EATING MY RAMEN DATTEBAYO!" He then roared in anger.

Hinata soon began to giggle as she saw Naruto trying to swat the Kyūbi as he expertly dodged and jump the swatting while still eating the ramen.

Sasuke meanwhile just gave off a small chuckle. "Now we got the next test tomorrow to deal with. . ." Satsuki meanwhile thought in determination before she then looked at the dodging demonic fox. "Why must he mess with the food of the gods? That's Naru-kun's ramen!" She then added.

Once the shenanigans and ramen was finished, the trio finally said their goodnights and head back to their homes.

At the Hyuga Compound. . .

Hinata had finally returned as the entered the building. "Now I need to take a bath and get some rest, 5 AM like Anko-sensei said. . ." She reminded herself as she headed for her room, however. . .

"Hinata, a word. . ." A stern voice requested.

Said girl stop in mid step upon hearing the voice, as she then turned and saw that it was her father while she gave a respectful bow. "Yes father?" She politely asked.

Hiashi then gestured the girl to follow him to his quarters. "There is something that needs to be discussed." He revealed in a calm manner. "Come to my office." He then order, he then turn and began walking.

"Hai." Hinata simply replied with a nod as she followed her father. "I wonder what father wants to discuss?" She thought to herself.

After a few moments, both father and daughter had entered the room and were now sitting in front of one another.

A moment of silence soon passed as HIashi then looked at his daughter. "I had heard you passed the first part of the Chunin Exams, well done." He then stated.

Hinata had a small smiled on her face as she was happy at finally being praised. "Thank you father." She replied

Every since Naruto and Hinata had told Hiashi about their relationship as well as seeing her growth as both a person and a kunoichi. Hiashi had been treating her daughter with a much calmer and proud filled tone.

Hiashi nodded back to this and he then slightly narrowed his eyes as he was getting back to the subject he wanted to asked his daughter. "During the first exam. . .you encountered Neji correct?" He then questioned with concern.

Hinata slightly lower her head as a sad expression was visible. "Hai. . ." She simply replied with a sad tone. "And he still has the grudge he has against us of the main house for what happened. . ." She began before trailing off.

To hearing this, Hiashi sighed. "I see. . ." He replied as he had expected it after what happened. "That's all I wished to talk. . .be ready for bed as tomorrow will be much more difficult part of the Chunin Exams." He then ordered.

"Hai." Hinata simply replied, she then stood up and gave another bow before she left the room.

Once Hinata had left, Hiashi let out a tired and sad sigh. "Only time can heal a wound such as his. . ." He then thought.

Just outside of Hiashi's office. . .

Hinata had closed the door when she felt a wave of exhaustion going through her body. "Tired. . ." She mumbled as she cutely rub her eye and began to return to her room.

Just a few meters on the opposite direction that Hinata was heading, a small head peeked out from a corner of a hall. "Nee-sama. . ." A small, silent female voice called out.

When Hinata was about to turn to a corner, she stopped and and let out a tired smile as she then turned her head to the corner. "Hanabi-chan." She replied with a tired yet kind tone.

Said in turn blushed from being discovered, she then got out of her hiding spot as she looked at her older sister. "Is it true? Are you going up against Neji in the Chunin Exams?" Hanabi questioned while trying to keep a straight face.

Though Hanabi was hiding her emotions, Hinata knew that her little sister was in fact worried about her. "No, we're just passed the first test." Hinata replied as she tried to calmed her fears.

The answer had calmed somewhat Hanabi's fear, it was still there in her. "But that doesn't mean that there isn't the possibility right?" She then stated.

To that, Hinata yawned once more before nodding. "Yes. . .there may be that possibility. She replied as she then looked at her little sister directly into her eyes. "But I won't let that stop me. . ." She declared without a hint of fear in her tone.

In turn, Hanabi's eyes slightly wide at the confident her older sister had displayed. But she quickly shook it off as she then tilted her head in confusion to this. "Why is that?" She then asked.

"Because. . ." Hinata began as she slightly narrow her eyes. "If I am going to be a Chunin, then I have to face the past that caused me to be shy as well as the sadness and despair that incident cause to me and so many others." She declared and with that she head back to her room.

To the sight, Hanabi was left baffled at the cottage had displayed and stayed there a minute until Hinata had left. "Nee-sama. . ." Was all the younger sister could got out.

At the Uzumaki/Uchiha Residence. . .

Naruto and Sasuke had soon returned to the apartment as the Uchiha then dropped the transformation. Satsuki stretched her tired and stiff arms from being crammed in the room for so long. "Man, a whole lot happened today, wouldn't you agree Naru-kun?" She got out as she sat down on the couch.

The blond in turn chuckled to that as he too sat down on the couch besides the female Uchiha and placed an arm around the girl's shoulder. "Got that right right Satsuki-chan." He agreed. "We got through it easily dattebayo!" He then reminded in a happy and satisfied tone.

Then Naruto briefly glowed red for a moment before crimson chakra came out of his stomach and the Kyūbi came out once more. "Says the guy that was scared out of his pants for being to cocky and nearly failed the first test." The Bijū remarked with a deadpan tone.

"Oh shut it you erotic fox!" Both the Uchiha and Uzumaki shouted in unison.

"It's a natural habit to panic in a situation like we were in." Satsuki then stated.

"Satsuki-chan's right about that dattebayo!" Naruto agreed with a nod.

"Leaving it all to chance when you panic is a natural habit? Wow. . .How are you alive again?" The Bijū declared with the same deadpan tone.

This declaration in turn caused the Uzumaki to growl with annoyance while the Uchiha pouted in a cute manner at the fox demon's irrefutable logic he said.

The Kyūbi then chuckled at the reactions from the two. "Kushina. . ." He offhandedly thought to himself before narrowing his eyes. "Now let's get serious. . .During the exam. . .that Kabuto Yakushi guy. . ." He then started in a serious tone. "You suspected something too correct?" He soon questioned.

The two genins quickly calmed down and narrowed their eyes at the statement. "Yeah. . .that guy looked like a normal guy, but my instincts screamed that his no good." Naruto stated. "And I don't know why, but he smelled like snakes. . ." He then revealed. "But not like the once Anko had, more like they were disgusting and very venomous. . ." He then added.

Satsuki meanwhile nodded in agreement to this. "I may not have an enhanced sense of smell like Naru-kun, but for me. . .it just felt like something was. . .off about him. . .like he's hiding something dark. . ." She then stated her piece of information.

"Yup. . .the guy's definitely bad news, so if I were you, I watch out for him." The Kyūbi told them with a serious tone.

The two didn't need to be reminded at that but they still nodded in agreement all the same.

At that moment, the Uchiha Heiress yawned cutely as she then began to rub one of her eyes. "Sleepy. . .Let's go to bed now Naru-kun. . ." She mumbled out.

The blond in turn nodded in agreement to this. "It is getting late, we should get to sleep." He responded as he stood up. "You want me or Naruko for the night?" He then asked.

The nearly asleep Satsuki smiled tiredly as she shook her head. "No, just you for the night. . .my blond prince. . ." She muttered as the urge to sleep from the mental exhaustion was taking hold of her.

Naruto merely smiled kindly to that as he then watched the girl head for the bedroom. "Kami she's cute as hell. . ." He got out in an honest tone. Then the blond hear the sound of a perverted chuckle, this made him ground lowly.

"Looks like she finally want to be more serious in your relationship." The Kyūbi commented with a very perverted tone.

The blond in turn growled from both irritation and embarrassment as that was one of the subjects he did not wanted to discuss with him off all people. "Oh shut up ero-kitsune." He got out.

Said pervert could only chuckle as he watched the blond heading towards the bedroom. "Too easy." The Kyūbi remarked in satisfaction as he returned to being chakra and returned to the seal.

In the bedroom. . .

The exhausted and sleepy Satsuki slowly took her shinobi outfit off and threw them aside as she slowly got her favorite black nearly see through pajamas on. Then she let gravity to do all of her work and fell onto the bed and let out a sigh of pleasure and relief. "Comfy. . ." She mumbled out in satisfaction.

Right outside the bedroom. . .

Naruto had soon arrived at the door as he then knocked it gently. "Hey Satsuki-chan, you dressed?" He whispered in case the girl fell asleep.

A cute yawn soon enough came from the other side of the door. "Hai. . ." A tired Satsuki answered.

With the given approval, Naruto opened the door and enter the room. The blond couldn't help but let out a chuckle as he watch the sleeping Uchiha scrunched up in an adorable manner while holding some of the bed sheets. "I'm guessing your really tired?" He asked with a joking tone.

Satsuki in turn just nodded her head to that. "Hai. . ." She got out as she was half asleep already.

Naruto then took this chance to also change into his pajamas, once he was done, he went and turned off the lights before he soon laid behind the half-asleep Uchiha and hugged her. "Good night Satsuki-chan." He all but whispered.

Then as if on automatic, the girl's arms went and hugged her favorite pillow. "Night. . ." Satsuki sleepily replied with a smile as she cuddled up to the blond.

The two then immediately fell asleep as fatigue from the long and stressful day finally kicked in.

Inside of the seal, the Kyūbi let out a scuff at the lacked of anything entertaining. "Lame. . ." He got out as he too went to sleep.

In the Hokage Tower. . .

Inside of the Hokage's tower we see both the Third and Ibiki discussing as said elderly man was contemplating of what the leader of the interrogation division had told him of what his grandson figure had left on his test.

"Are you sure about this. . ." The Hokage questioned in a serious tone.

Ibiki let out a sigh. "I'm afraid so. . .Though we don't have any evidence, there is a possibility that Kabuto might have a connection to him. . ." He answered with a dead serious tone.

Hiruzen soon narrowed his eyes to this. "I see. . ." He responded as he lean on his chair.

The thought of him actually being in Konoha filled him with great worry and fear as the elderly Hokage knew full well the devastation could bring about to his beloved village.

With that in mind he knew that he will have to make preparations for the inevitable. "Very well. . ." Hiruzen got out as he turned to the head of interrogation with his own dead serious tone.

Early the next day, the remaining genin arrived at the destination of the next test, a massive forest that was gated off with locks and seals.

GROWL! HISS! ROAR!

The sounds of large and forced animals that came from inside of the gates, causing many of the weak willed genin to cower in fear at what could possibly be making them.

"Welcome to the location of the second test, The Forest of Death." Anko announced as she smirked sadistically.
