I don't own twilight. What I own is my character's behavior, personality, background, and plot of the story.

Author's Note at the end.
Bella runs down the stairs quickly. Whoever is ringing the door will be getting an earful. Someone better be dead.
Please don't make Peter wake up from his sleep. He only slept for two hours a bit ago.
She almost trips over one of Adam's toys but catches herself at the last minute and yanks the door open. "What?" she whisper yells when she finds Seth waiting behind it.
"Thank God you haven't left yet. Why are you not answering your phone?" he tells her demanding the last part after he hugs her.
"I packed the charger by mistake and was feeling too lazy to take it out yesterday," she mumbles, feeling embarrassed as she steps aside and lets him in the door.
"Well I have important news to share with you but first can I please have a coffee? I haven't had any today. I woke up and drove straight over," he tells her. She walks over to the kitchen and he follows her.
"Why come so early?" she asks him over the sound of the coffee maker. She moves to the freezer and takes out the frozen fruit she has. Since she is up, she won't go back to sleep so she might as well start her morning routine. She will just nap when the boys do.
"I wasn't sure when you would leave. You told me that you are going to Seattle today and your flight is tomorrow. I thought you might want to leave early and explore Seattle with the boys," he states as he watches her assemble the smoothie.
"The car service will drive us straight to the airport. The flight is at 1 o'clock in the morning," Bella explains. "What is so important that you had to wake me up at 5 am?" Bella asks him after drinking her smoothie and setting her empty glass in the sink.
"I was hanging out yesterday by the beach and I heard Black say something about you," Seth tells her.
"Which one?" she asks giving him her undivided attention.
"Jacob," he replies before sipping from his coffee and continuing, "He was telling Paul that he wanted his help to find a man called James with a blond ponytail. He believes he is the boys' father."
Bella schools her expression even though she wants to throw herself on the ground and scream at the fact that they just won't leave her alone. Instead, she nods her head in understanding while buying herself time trying to plan her next words.
"What did Paul say?" she asks, making her voice sound interested enough to ask the question but not that interested.
"He said that he would need more to go by to find him," he replies.
They are going to get to him.
No, they won't.
How do you know that?
I will make sure he won't be of any use to them.
Are you going to kill him?
Why do you always think of killing?
That is what we did the last time we found ourselves in a tough place.
"I want you to keep an eye on both of the Black's. Befriending Jacob would be difficult but not Billy. His wife used to babysit you. Use that as your in. I want to know what is going on," she instructs him, looking him in the eye.
She gets up silently and goes to her dad's office only to return two minutes later with an envelope that she places in front of him and states, "This should tide you over till I can give you more."
He doesn't touch it, instead he asks her with his eyes on the counter, "Do you think I am a bad person? I mean for helping you. You are white and the Blacks and I are Native American. Your people colonized our land. Am I a bad person for taking your side?"
Bella is silent. She doesn't know what to tell him. She has made peace with the fact that she isn't a good person. She has made peace with the fact that she will never be a good person but more so she isn't a minority. She isn't Native American. She doesn't know the first thing about how one should act. She didn't grow up around them. She grew up in New York City. Anything she knows about the community is due to her friendship with Seth.
"I can't answer that for you, Seth. What I can tell you is this, if I were in your shoes, I would ask myself, "Am I harming my community or an individual? Can my actions benefit the community down the line?" As she asks him these questions she's leaning her back against the fridge. When she finds him looking more conflicted she tells him, "You are a good person. You are one of the best people I know. Follow your gut and it won't direct you in the wrong direction."
She watches him closely as he nods his head then gets up and stuffs the envelope in his jacket, then he turns around and hugs her tightly.
"I will miss you so much," he tells her while still hugging her. Taken aback by his admission, she pats his back awkwardly waiting for the hug to end. She can't remember the last time she allowed herself to express her feelings openly. Probably when her mum was alive. Come to think of it, she thinks she will miss him. He has been a source of goodness and light in her life since he entered it.
He tightens his arms around her as he states, "I won't tell anyone that you showed emotions. What happens while we are hugging stays while we were hugging."
She rolls her eyes and she mutters, "I will miss you too even though you are a pain in my ass most of the time."
He pulls back and says, "It's not what I wanted but I will take it. What other option do I have?" She rolls her eyes at him and leads him to the door while rubbing his back. "When you land, you will let me know, right?" he asks her as he pauses at the doorway.
"Of course I will," she replies.
Right as he is about to turn around, a voice from the stairs is heard, "Are you going to leave without saying goodbye?"
"Of course not, Adam," Seth states, then kneels and opens his arms as Adam rushes to hug him.
After Adam has breakfast, she leaves him in front of the TV and climbs the stairs to her room. She finds Peter still sleeping so she goes into the shower. She quickly washes her hair and scrubs her body and then washes it all away and steps out of the shower after wrapping herself in a towel.
She rubs leave-in conditioner between her fingers and applies it to her hair and then after washing her hands, she applies moisturizing lotion on her body. Once done, she wears the watch on her right hand and while doing so glimpses the scar it covers which plunges her into a flashback.
A beeping sound was driving her up wall as she fought to open her eyes, a battle that became harder when she did open them and was greeted with a fluorescent light that was hell-bent on blinding her. She blinked rapidly and heard rustling to her left which prompted her to turn to look at the source of the noise. She found someone holding an IV tube with a drip towering over her. She blinked twice and was still greeted by the same image. She raised her left hand to shield her eyes from the light hoping it will help her see better only to realize that the drip was connected to it. She looked around her and only then does it dawn on her that she is in a hospital room.
The nurse finally noticed her moving and told her, "Morning, sleepy head. How are you feeling? Is there any particular pain you are feeling?"
"What happened?" Bella asked in confusion.
"You tried to commit suicide but your dad caught you at the last moment and brought you to the hospital. You are very lucky, my dear," the nurse told her kindly.
It all hit her at once. The argument she had her with Charlie, comparing him to Phil and everything that happened afterward.
"Where is my son?" she demanded pulling herself up to sit.
"You have a son, my dear?" the nurse asked in disbelief.
"Where is my son?" Bella demanded, raising her voice. She had zero interest in playing dumb games.
"Stop harassing the nurse," her dad told her making his presence known, and then he turned to the nurse and requested that she leave them alone.
"Where is Adam?" she demanded again tired of repeating herself.
"At home, of course," he replied like she was stupid for not knowing the answer.
"I want to see him."
"I don't think it's right for you to see him now in your unstable state," he told her, feigning worry.
"Cut the bullshit, Chief Swan. We both know I am more stable than you and everyone in your department combined," she rebutted.
"Which explains why you are in a hospital bed and I am not," he stated sarcastically then continued, "Good luck persuading that to anyone."
"We both know that you did this to me," she shook her head infuriated with him. If he wanted to go around lying to people, she can't stop him, but to lie to her? That she won't allow.
He stared at her silently which made her shake her head and say, "I am not. Stop lying," she told him calmly, too calmly. She looked him in the eye and he saw the storm brewing underneath.
"Darling, stop deluding yourself. You have to own up to your action. You can't keep doing that," he stated sympathetically.
"I did not commit suicide," she stated again growing more agitated.
"Whatever you say sweetie," he told her the way you would placate a toddler.
"Stop lying, I didn't," she ordered him getting louder.
"My dear, I want the best for you and that would be owning up to your action," he advised her as if he gave a damn about what is best for her. His tone was calm but it did nothing but make her more pissed off.
"I didn't commit scuicide," she screamed at him.
He walked to her and started speaking, "My dear, no one here blames you. Your mum died. You just had a baby you didn't want." She cut him off by slapping him and didn't allow him to continue talking. She would never allow him to speak of Adam as if she wanted to get rid of him.
"I want Adam and I didn't commit scuicide. I didn't commit suicide," she screamed at him as she kept hitting him. He reached behind her and pressed a button then stepped away and watched while smirking as the nurses rushed into the room.
"Quick, hold her," one nurse urged the other nurses as she fought them to let her be.
"Nothing is wrong with me. Leave me alone," she screamed as the three nurses worked to restrain her. She kicked and punched, but she wasn't a match to three grown men.
"Give me the syringe," one muttered as she watched them hold her down and tried to kick her feet to no avail.
Charlie raised a hand to stop the nurses from knocking her out, then walked toward her and leaned to whisper, "Of course you didn't commit suicide on your own my dear. You are too much of a coward to do that." Then he pulled back and smirked at her as he watched her getting overpowered by the nurses.
Seven days later Bella sat in a chair overlooking the hospital's garden and watched the people there because she refused to speak to the psychologist. Nothing was wrong with her and once she is given permission to leave, she will be taking measures to make sure there was no repeat of what her father did.
Even if it involved asking Phil for help.
"You don't want to lose your children permanently," the psychologist finished.
Bella turned sharply toward her and asked, "Why would I lose them even nonpermanently? I am good mum." It made zero sense. She is their mum.
"Sweetie, your dad requested an emergency court hearing and the court assigned him custody of Adam," she told her sympathetically. Her mouth dropped as she finally understood why he made her do it. It was all to force her to never move out.
"I didn't commit suicide. He made me," Bella told her as she started crying. Then she got up and walked to her and started frantically showing her all of the bruises she had in varying shades of color.
The psychologist calmed her down and then took pictures of the bruises and promised Bella she would do something. She told her that she has to go back to her father's house to make sure he doesn't harm Adam.
It goes without saying that nothing came out of the psychologists help, unless you want to count the psychologist being killed in a hit and run.
When she returns to the now, she finds herself standing in her bedroom fully clothed staring through the window into the backyard with her phone in her hand. She looks at the screen and presses the button call before bringing the phone to her ear.
She hears the phone ringing a couple of times before it's picked up, "What do you want this time?" James answers.
"Your silence," she replies. The last thing she needs is for James to aid the Black's.
"On what?"
"You don't know me. You don't know who Adam is. You don't know who Peter is. If you open your trap, I will personally deliver you to your jail cell," she tells him in a threatening tone.
"You keep threatening to send me to jail. I bet you have nothing on me," he tells her tauntingly.
She rolls her eyes at him and says in a condescending tone, "My dear, you sell drugs all over Seattle. You think I don't have anything to hold above your head."
She can hear the wheels turning in his head as he replies, "I know no Peter and Adam and I don't even know you."
She smiles as she hangs up on him and mutters to herself, "Perfect. All I have left to do is call Aro."
I hope this cleared up some of the events that were mentioned in the last chapter, and answered some of the questions you may have.
