I groaned again: "So my head doesn't hurt from the booze but from Granny's cane? Great."
Daphne commented: "Come, we need to get back on the job. Harry? I suggest some serious groveling to calm Granny down."
I sighed: "What to do with all those Goblins…"
17 Scouting
Daphne answered: "Hide? No, let's face it Harry, the only one that needs your groveling is Granny, the other Goblins were impressed by your courage. You did earn the gratitude from the Elf Nation, last night, the couples you just saw leaving got pregnant thanks to you. We tried to do it too, but did not succeed."
I shrugged: "There is a need for a bit of Magic to complete it, Daphne, and the union of both, and some other things, but my head hurts too much to explain it all."
Hermione grinned: "Oh I missed this, last night was the best Harry. And I am glad to know our sister wives."
Fiona smiled: "We already knew all of you through Harry's mindscape, but we are glad to see you in real life too, Hermione, and can't wait to meet Susan, Peggy, Hestia, Tonks, and Cassandra. We better get up for breakfast."
We left our woods, hmm? Some Elves are riding on my Unicorns? It figures all of them are girls. Those stories about unicorns and maidens must have some truth in them, I always thought them to be some hidden porn story, you know a horn and a maiden? Don't get it? I'll explain later when my head stops hurting.
When we were walking outside, I spotted Eragon leave the mansion with two not so maidens anymore. I hope he remembers they are probably a few centuries older than him.
As we arrived at the breakfast table, I got mixed reactions, the elves bowed to me, the in-laws were looking curiously at me, the Goblins grinned at me, and Granny… she held her cane in a death grip while glaring at me.
I stood before her and said: "I am sorry for whatever I did to you, Granny. I can't blame it on the alcohol, because I was the one that decided to drink it. My only excuse for whatever I did is that I view you as a true Grandmother, I hope you can forgive me."
Granny relaxed and said: "You are lucky that I too see you as one of my own, Basiliskslayer. I prefer you sober though. You are forgiven, but if I ever see that Cristina, I will give her a good caning."
Xeno asked Luna: "Did we miss something last night?"
With a happy face Luna nodded: "A lot, Daddy, Harry did some amazing things last night, I'll explain later."

When breakfast was over, we discussed our plans, Daphne started: "Now that everyone is here, we can divide our tasks. Illirea needs a team to assist the King, a team for the Goblin scouting party, a team to explore our new home with our parents, and a team for the diplomats, ours, and Goblins. Did I miss something else?"
Imira said: "A team to start on the trunks in this world. It needs to be done with local flora and fauna, to prevent ecological unbalance. I saw in Harry's memories what devastation foreign plants, animals, and insects can cause to an ecosystem."
Hermione looked at Hannah, who nodded, she said: "Hannah and I will do the trunks with you. The trunks we brought along are spelled at the exit to prevent contamination from both ways, we will take them back to our world and depend on local trunks."
Miramar said: "I'll stay in Illirea, I am the most familiar with the humans in Alegeasia and their customs."
Astoria, Megan, Fiona, and Lineria volunteered for Illirea too.
Pansy raised her hand: "I'll do the scouting party with my Spitfire. Milli? Ginny? It will be fun." that got the scouting party settled
Daphne said: "I will do the diplomats, any volunteers?"
Ophelia raised her hand, with Lenora, and Fleur. Tracey said: "I'll go to the Dwarves and prepare for your visit."
I concluded: "The rest will go to our new home with our parents. I need to do my own scouting, to find a suitable place for the wild dragons. Imira, I bought a lot of seeds from Angela, a lot of them are Magical seeds, they are in our first trunk, along with a lot of books about them, I suggest studying them first, and integrating them into the trunks. We better stop calling them trunks, we have to anchor them to the earth to prevent stealing."
Hermione said: "We planned to have the entrance at the back of the house or mansion to allow bigger items to take out or bring in. First, we have to do the inside."
Lord Greengrass whispered to his wife: "It is amazing that they can let you forget that they are just children, don't you think so?"
Lady Greengrass nodded: "I think they forgot it themselves. Daphne and Susan are the driving forces, but everyone is acting more mature than most adults I know."
That moment Queen Islanzadi came in with her advisers, she said: "Dragon Lord, we thank you again for bringing the eggs to us. Ten are already selected, we ask for Imira to create portkeys to the other cities, to give our young ones a chance to get selected."
She waited until Imira nodded and continued: "When we had our turn, the eggs that didn't hatch will be brought to Illirea to select human Riders. Do you agree with this course of action?"
I commented: "I have to make this clear Queen Islanzadi, we have no right to decide on the policy of selecting Riders. That is purely for the Riders to determine who gets a chance to be chosen. We just transported the eggs here. You might say that our world is already included with Charley Weasley when he bonded with a red egg."
When I looked around, I saw several surprised faces, I clarified: "They asked me to assist in the hatching of the wild dragons, and protect them the first months. That alone will take up most of my, and my wives' free time. There are about two hundred fifty-eight eggs, you understand that it will take years to hatch them all."
Daphne added: "The Riders have to stay independent, with Charley Weasley joining the Riders, they will have access to our kind of Magic. With this, our involvement with the Riders will end. We want to give Alana and Dusan a Wizarding tent for their stay in the forest, with supplies for six months. The other Riders are old and wise enough to provide for themselves, we like them both, so they will have a pleasant stay with their hatchlings in the woods."
Islanzadi smiled, this was more than she hoped for, I guess my influence is bigger than I thought, that is never good, too much, and they start to fear or hate you. The control over the portals alone is enough to resent me over time.
That, and I am a control freak by nature, too much and I become a Tyrant. Bow to my Greatness! Lick my boots! That will save me some shoe shine.

We traveled to Oromis and waited for the new Riders to arrive, Charley Weasley traveled with the new Riders, although he rode a broom instead of a horse. We watched them arrive, the Riders will stay with Oromis until their dragons are a year old, after that, they will build a new city for the Riders and travel the lands. The biggest mistake of the old Riders was to prevent the young Riders to explore and confining them with boring tasks.
Instead of a tent, Imira installed Rune houses for Alana and Dusan. After getting puppy eyes, Hermione and Hannah did the same for Charley, although he got an apartment trunk from Ginny. By getting practical experience making Rune houses, it will help to grow the expanded spaces.
In the end, the woods around Oromis' cabin became a small settlement.
Making plans is easy, but doing the tasks are not, the logistics are confusing. The first thing to do was to get out of Du Weldenvarden, everyone, except Daphne and me got in the Manor trunk, and I ported to the edge of the forest, there I walked in my dragon animagus out of the border.
The Illirea team, with the diplomats, took the blue trunk with them and portkeyd away. Tracey took off to the Dwarves, while I took the rest to our valley.
Once there, Pansy, Milli, and Ginny unloaded their Spitfires, they even wrote their names on them!
They are mine!… alright, no need to glare like that, you can have them. Greedy bitc… darlings.
The parents didn't stay still, the dads mounted their brooms, while the Mum's warded the region, after that, the girl changed into a dragon and the mothers got airborne.

That left me with my Red trunk, I enlarged the door and loaded a Spitfire in it. Then the Eldunari and I discussed the best environment to hatch the wild dragons.
Umaroth said: § best is a stand-alone mountain with steep cliffs and some shallow caves facing south. There has to be prey nearby, a forest or plains, preferably both.§
An old growling voice, a wild Eldunari, added: § Once you hatch the eggs there, they will regard this as Dragon Territory. Our old Territory was the Haradac Desert, but we admit, the food there was insufficient to sustain us. We loved the heat, though the lack of food made us move away, we only came back to breed and as old ones to sleep, and eventually die there.§
I asked: § I have to find a desert in the South or maybe a volcano, like the ones the Riders are moving to? One last question, do I spread the hatchlings over the lands, or hatch them in one place?§
Old Grumpy answered: §In one place, Dragon Lord, they will view themselves as one group. If you divide them, that will bring territorial fights when they meet.§
§What will they do when they encounter the Dragon Riders, Old One? Those are strangers to the group too. How will they react?§
Old Grumpy said: §That will be our task Dragon Lord, we are the elders of the Wild Dragons, for centuries we imprint our history on the newborns when they are four months old. At six months, after they learn how to breathe fire, they leave their nesting grounds and begin their lives.§
Great, now I have to haul those Eldunari along, I meant to drop them off at Oromis when he was settled with his new students. Meh, I have to coordinate my search with Pansy's scouting group. They went North first, so I'll be flying south. I apparated to the most southern point in my memory, took the Spitfire out, and arranged that the Eldunari had a view of the lands we were going to fly over.

I flew a few hours at top speed at high altitude, following a river South, in the distance I spotted the Ocean, at my right, far away, are the Beor Mountains, on my left the start of a new mountain range, divided by a big wide river with big animals in it. A closer look got me an impression of some kind of Crocodile looking creature, and big herbivores were grazing the plains.
The Dwarves would have a hard time crossing that monster-infested river those Croc things are big enough to swallow a horse in a few bites. That might be another reason they stayed in the Beor Mountains, those animals are looking nasty.
This country is turning out a bit more dangerous than I hoped. I turned to the mountain range to the east, following the coastline, this might be a good hunting ground for the wild Dragons, a lot of seals and bigger sea mammals, the hills going in the land have a lot of herbivores.
This far South, the climate is almost tropical, we explored the mountains and marked one as a possible nest. It has several points in its favor, the only negative is the distance away from Alegeasia, after all, the riders are counting on the wild dragons for new eggs.

At dinner time we returned to our valley, Pansy, Milli, and Ginny returned with the Goblin scouts, who were enthusiastic with their findings.
Skullbasher said: "We located several prime locations for mines and settlements, that the climate is too cold outside is a bonus for us, that means it will be a long time before someone else moves there to live."
Ginny nodded: "It was bloody cold there, Norway in early spring cold. Going on the season here it should be late summer. From here it is a three hours flight at high speed."
Skullcleaver shrugged: "It is not cold under the mountains, our caves have the same temperature all years around, it is even warmer deeper below."
I reported: "It is the opposite for me, about four hours at high-speed South is subtropic, with a lot of fertile lands and big dangerous animals. I located a mountain that has all the qualities for a nesting place, only the distance, 2400 miles is too far away. Just as your new location is far from here Skullbasher. I guess we have to introduce the Floo in this world?"
Lord Greengrass commented: "That is the only way, not everyone is so skilled as you and the girls at creating Portkeys. So, this country of yours is 3900 miles from North to South. Luna told us that it is 2000 miles wide, That is very big Harry, that is the size of a continent, all that is unclaimed?"
I grinned: "It is claimed, by me. I doubt the elves and humans realized the size of this country. The only obstacle to getting here is the Haradac desert. Dobby? Can you bring the Pensieve, please? Here, ill show you some views from the South."
When we left the Pensieve, Xeno said: "Those lands are not so bad too. A good Floo connection, although, such great distances requires Floo's at a Leyline to fuel the power."
Flora said: "This Valley has several leylines, two from North to South and two from East to West. As far as I can tell, this is an ideal location for a settlement. Not only that, this land is too big, wouldn't it be better to hatch the wild dragons a hundred miles from here instead of thousands of miles?"
I thought it over, they might be wild dragons, but they have to get used to humans or we are going to get in trouble later.
I said: "I'll scout a bit closer tomorrow. It is as Flora said, this land is bigger than expected, I see no problem with our friends moving here. We have four weeks to get this mapped out before we make a decision. We don't have to rely on expanded spaces in the first years, there is enough room for the dragons to hunt. Let's eat first."
Xxxxx
The following weeks were spent with me, Pansy, Milli, and Ginny flying crisscross over the country, while the in-laws were building the foundations of the new settlement. Finally, the Eldunari decided on the new hatching area, eighty miles south on a granite rock formation, with plenty of small game nearby. It has some seismic activity below Earth with hot springs and a hotter climate.
On the Eldunari's directions, we carved nesting caves for the future mothers, from small spaces below to big caves for the giants they are going to grow to. All facing the South and West side of the granite mountain. I made it my free time hobby to smooth the lower parts of the mountain to prevent predators or egg thieves access to the Eggs.
The Diplomatic team made progress too, the humans, elves, and Dwarves agreed to let the Goblins set up a Floo network. The fireplaces are small enough to prevent invasions that way and allowed fast communications and travel between the cities. The elves traveling with unbound eggs will profit the most from it.
Well, those four weeks were over faster than we realized, after warding our new capital city, we departed to Ellesmera, this time everyone came along to witness the birth of the kids.
After informing them of our progress, we said goodbye to the Dragon Riders and the Elves Council, Charley gave a few letters to Ginny for their parents and his former boss.
Fiona and Lineria linked with me to open the portal, a few Patronus were sent through to inform them of our arrival. Fifteen minutes later Susan's Patronus came back to give the all-clear.
With a wave with our hands in goodbye we went through.
It is baby time!
