A/N: Hello again, everyone! Sorry if I've been slow lately with this chapter as well as the previous chapters. Writer's block sucks—I've said this before, and I'm totally not afraid to repeat it. Plus, my life offscreen can be a lot. Again, I'm still taking one day at a time, hoping—and praying—for the better of things as time passes.

Disclaimer: I don't own Criminal Minds. The story starts on Sunday, October 19, 2014.

It was after church services that Spencer and Élise invited the Donovan-Putnam family over to their place for some the-week-before-Halloween fun in the recreational room on the lower level of the house.

"Ooh…" Élise stood behind Séraphine as she and BJ drew orange pumpkins. "Those are good, kids…"

"Thank you…"

Charlotte and Isaac giggled while they were fingerpainting on the yellow construction papers.

Spencer and Bobby descend the stairs, carrying Rice Krispies, pretzel snacks, and drink trays. "We got some snacks," said Bobby as he set down the tray on the table. "Help yourselves."

"Thank you…" the adults let the children take what they wanted before they dived in for themselves. "It's been a while since we hung out together."

Bobby made a bit of a weird face. "Dude, we celebrated your birthday ten days ago."

Spencer smirked to himself—he was now 33 years old.

"It's like being in high school again or even college, and you haven't chatted or seen your old friends in a while."

"You make every time you got to count," replied Maeve before she ate a mini pretzel and began slowly chewing. "I rather spend five minutes with you all than have no time at all."

"Aww…" Élise felt honored and switched to another topic. "So, what are you two planning to be for Halloween?"

Maeve smiled cheekily. "I get the pick for this year's costumes, so I'm thinking Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore's characters from Ghost or Tom Hank and Meg Ryan's characters from Sleeping in Seattle. Or maybe even Julia Stiles and Heath Ledger's characters from 10 Things I Hate About You."

Élise gasped. "Classic choices."

Maeve cheekily shrugged her shoulders. "You know I love cheesy and classic 90s rom-coms."

"Well, you definitely can't go wrong with Patrick Swayze and Heath Ledger," Élise raised her brows three times, kissed her index finger, pointed it upwards, and tilted her head up. "RIP, you two."

Bobby sipped some apple cider while cleaning up Charlotte when she accidentally got a little bit of it on her pink shirt. "What about you two?"

Spencer raised his hand. "I got the pick of costumes, and we've decided on two picks, one of which is Kirk and Uhura."

"I've been watching the original series and the two reboot movies, and they're actually quite good," Élise commented. "Did you know that the kiss is often referred to as the first interracial kiss, even though there have been others before? But it is the first lip lock between a Caucasian and an African American?"

"Aww…."

Spencer added, "But I am particle to the Tenth Doctor and Martha Jones. He reminds me so much of me."

"Very fitting…"

Spencer finished cleaning his breakfast plate and Élise's, Isaac's, and Séraphine's. "Come on, Daddy…" Séraphine bounced twice; she was getting impatient. "Let's get going."

Spencer glanced at his silver watch. "It's still early."

"So…?" Séraphine didn't see what the big fuss was about when her father gave her her lunchbox. "Mommy said it's better to be early than late."

Spencer smiled to himself as Séraphine left the kitchen. She really was being more and more like her mother—and even a little bit of him—every day.

Élise secured her favorite gold watch when she entered the living room, smiling at the sight of Isaac watching Blue's Clues and Opal relaxing in the corner.

"Spencer, you ready?" she cried out for him.

"Yes!"

She patted her black pants-clad legs. "Zig-Zaggy, you wanna give Mommy a little kiss and hug before I leave for work?"

Isaac steadily got off the plush couch. "Bye, Mommy."

Élise cowered, opened her arms out, and closed them to embrace her son. "Bye, little man…" She gave him a loving forehead kiss before she stretched up. "Mommy-Mommy-Mommy!" she smirked to herself when she heard her daughter's giddy voice.

"I'm coming!" Élise replied back as she entered the foyer and watched Séraphine dash out of the house after Spencer opened the door for her. "I swear, that girl is becoming more and more like us every day."

"Exactly what I've been thinking."

The team received word they were needed in Atlanta, Georgia after an investigative journalist died in ongoing traffic after disappearing three days earlier with no history of mental illness and received death threats due to his work.

Élise concluded a meeting with the other DOJ officials when she received a text message from Spencer.

OFF TO ATLANTA! LOVE YOU!

On their arrival, Spencer and JJ headed for the M.E.'s office and discovered the victim had scratched himself vigorously and something behind his ears.

Séraphine's class began a social studies lesson on economics. Ms. Torres presented a play dollar one bill to the class. "Okay, clase, what am I holding here?"

Séraphine raised her hand, and the teacher picked on her. "A one-dollar bill with George Washington on it—our first U.S. President.

Ms. Torres gave her a thumbs up. "¡Exactamente! And what do we use money for?"

BJ held his hand up. "Food, clothes."

"¡Correcto!" Ms. Torres winked as she and Ms. Ortiz began passing out worksheets and play money to the students' desks. "And we are going to learn how to use and recognize money, understanding the basics of how to pay for goods."

Now the team got word of another victim, a Dr. William Suri, and realized he was bound, tortured with bugs—Spencer found a live one in the deceased's nose—before being fatally shot. Discovering the unsub suffers from a delusional self-diagnosis disorder; the team gave the profile.

"So, how was everyone's day?" asked Élise before she had a tiny bite of the chicken lettuce taco she and Rose made for dinner.

"It was good..." Isaac sighed and mini-burped.

Séraphine waved her hand. "We learned about money today."

"Really?" Rose giggled after she excused herself from the table to refill Opal's food bowl. "It's important to learn about money at a young age."

"Do you like going to school?" Élise dabbed her mouth.

Séraphine nodded her head. "Uh-huh…you learn something new every day…"

The following day into the case, the team managed to get some information, leading them to a woman who led them to the unsub, Leo Jenkins.

The team was halfway finished packing up the case files. An officer by the name of Mike Nash approached them.

"Thanks again for helping us out," said Officer Nash. "Do you often get these kinds of delusional cases?"

Rossi remarked, "If only you knew the half of what we deal with on a regular basis."

Officer Nash got the picture of what Rossi had just said before he walked away, thanking them again for their service before the team saw JJ walking in.

"Well?" Hotch asked; he sent JJ to talk to Jane Posner—who help led them to Leo—after arresting him.

JJ huffed and cocked her head to the side, slapping her hands against her dark pants legs. "What do you think?"

Reid reminded. "It's not the first time we had to deal with someone with anti-governmental views."

"And it won't be the last."

"Lise, your detail is here!" Spencer called for his wife, who was still upstairs after he watched them carry her luggage to the Suburban.

Élise finally descended the stairs. "Oh, I'm going to have a busy weekend. LA and then Orlando," she sighed. "At least I'll be back way before Halloween."

"Always looking on the bright side of things," Spencer gave her a kiss before the two heard approaching stubby and fast steps.

"Buh-bye, mommy!" Isaac had his arms out, same with Séraphine.

Opal barked.

"I love you all."

A/N: Sorry if the chapter felt short; writer's block.
