Chapter 13: Christmas Duel

He draws his first card to begin the duel and plays a monster face down in defense mode and ends his turn. I draw and summon Gravekeepers Spear Soldier (ATK 1500/DEF 1000) I attack his face down and it was Mother Grizzly who has 1000 defense and since Spear Soldier has piercing damage so Mako's LPs drop to 3500 Mako is allow to special summon a monster and summons Drill Barnacle (ATK 300/DEF 0) and I end my turn. Mako draws and plays A Legendary Ocean which give all water monsters 200 points and lowers their level by one and I allows him to summon The Legendary Fisherman 2 (ATK2200/DEF1800) without needing a tribute, he first attacks with Legendary Fisherman 2 and destroys my Spear Soldier and lowers my LP down to 3100 and the attacks with Barnacle lowering my LP even lower to 2600 and that it's attack points raise from 500 to 1500 and sets a card face down and ends his turn. I draw first I discard Gravekeepers Commandant to add Necrovalley to my hand and I play it and play a monster face down defense mode and play the spell card Gravekeepers Servant and end my turn. He starts off by playing a monster face down in defense mode, and then attacks my face down monster with his Legendary Fisherman 2 which has 2400 ATK it is my Gravekeepers Spy who has 2500 DEF thanks to Necrovalley cause Mako LP to drop to 3400, and I get to special summon a monster and I choose Gravekeepers Nobleman (ATK 1000/DEF 1000) in attack mode, and then uses Barnacle's effect to bypass my monsters and attack attack me directly putting my LP at 2100 and it get 1000 more ATK putting it at 2500 he lays a card face down and ends his turn. I draw and first I offer my Nobleman to summon Gravekeepers Visionary (ATK 2000/DEF 1800) but thanks to his effect his attack goes up by 600 putting him at 3100 ATK I attack and destroy Drill Barnacle but he activates Tornado Wall to avoid taking any damage and I end my turn. He offers his face down monster to summon his Citadel Whale (ATK 2350/DEF 2150) and he equips it with Aqua Jet raising its ATK to 3550 he tries to destroy my Visionary but I discard my Gravekeepers Guard to keep him alive but still take damage and my LP drop to 1450. I draw to start my turn and summon Gravekeepers Descendant (ATK 1500/DEF 1200) I offer my Spy to use his effect and destroy A Legendary Ocean which also in turn destroys Tornado Wall and then activate Solidarity raising all my monster by 800 points putting Visionary at 4100 and Descendant at 2800 I use Visionary to destroy Citadel Whale making him lose 750 LP putting at 2550LP then attack with Descendant but he use his face down card which is Negate Attack and I end my turn. He starts by playing his second A Legendary Ocean he tributes his Legendary Fisherman 2 and plays Levin Dragon-Daealus (ATK 2600/DEF 1500) he then destroys his Legendary Ocean to activate the Daealus effect to destroy everything on the field except for itself I discard Gravekeepers Priestess to keep my Visionary on the field and now has 3000 ATK and then plays a card face down and ends his turn. I waste no time and try to destroy Daealus and attack but activate his face down Poseidon Wave negating my attack and dealing 800 point damage to putting my LP at 650 and laying a card face down and end my turn. He plays his second Drill Barnacle (ATK 300/DEF 0) and then equips Power Of Kaishin raising Barnacle's attack to 600 he attacks and drops my LPs to 50 and Barnacle's attack raises to 1600 he plays a card face down and ends his turn. I summon Gravekeepers Ambusher (ATK 1700/DEF 0) and he activities Torrential Tribute in response to my summoning and destroys all monster cards and once all the monsters are destroyed I activate my face down Rite Of Spirit and bring back Visionary who now currently has 3000 and attack Mako and drop his LP to zero.
"That was a fine duel" Mako says as he picks up the arrow by my feet as Roland walks in with a briefcase. He walks over to Mako and says "Here is your payment for the duel." He smiles and takes the briefcase and walks out of the exit and Roland looks at me and says "Mr. Kaiba wanted me to congratulate you for winning the duel." He reveals his monster Defender the Magical Knight. And thanks to his ability by removing a magic counter on him he can prevent him from being destroyed. I lay down two facedown cards and end my turn. Takeru's turn. I sacrifice Defender in order to summon Chaos Command Magician (2400/ 1900) attack his Gravekeeper. I activate my trap card Scrap Iron ScareCrow to block your attack and to protect my Ambusher."Nice try" Takeru says he plays his Trap Jammer which sends my Scarecrow to the graveyard and allows him to continue his Chaos Command Magician blasts my Ambusher and my life points dropped to 3800."Nice move" I say with smirk on my face a good magician always has a few tricks up his sleeve. Takeru smirks.I wait for him to finish his turn"I end my turn with one facedown.""You done Takeru" I ask"Yes" he says. Ok I draw and first I will activate my facedown Coffin Seller and then I will play Gravekeeper Servent and play a card face down defense mode and play a card face down and end my turn. He summon his Magician's Valkyria (1600/1800) and now I'll destroy your monster with my Chaos Command Magician.``Well first you need to discard the top card from your deck and if it is a monster you lose 300 lp" I say and I activate my trap card Sakuretsu Armor destroying his Chaos Command Magician. Takeru flipped the top card and his life points dropped to 3700. My Magician may be gone but my Valkyria still has her attack. It is my Gravekeepers Spy who has 2500 DEF thanks to Necrovalley. Discarding a monster card Takeru's life points dropped to because my Gravekeepers Spy flipped face up it get to special summon a monster and I choose GraveKeepers Descendant in attack mode (ATK 1500/DEF1200) with 2000 ATK I end my turn. "Okay my turn" first I will play a card face down in defense mode then I will tribute my spy to destroy your spell or trap card. He activates Dust Tornado and before it's destroyed I'll destroy your Necrovalley. Okay then I will also switch my Descendant into defense mode and play 1 card face down and ending my turn. Takeru's turn: Now I activate my Dark Magic Veil I can pay 1000 life points in order to bring back a card you made discard with your Gravekeeper's Servant. Say hello to Dark Magician. As the magician appeared Takeru's life points dropped to 1800. Now thanks to my Dark Magic Circle I can remove your facedown monster from the game. And since I special summoned him I can summon my Breaker the Magical Warrior (1900/ 1000). And now Breaker is gonna destroy your Gravekeepers Descendant. I put my descendant in the graveyard he discarding Wonder Wand decreasing my life to 3700. Takeru sends Spellbinding Circle to the grave to have Dark Magician attacked. Since you have no monster I will be a direct attack." Takeru say. " I think it is time for some reinforcements. I activate my trap card Metal Reflect Slime (ATK0/DEF 3000) and summon token in DEF"I activate my facedown Rush Recklessly boosting my Dark Magician by 700 for this one turn. (Dark Magician 3200/ 2100)"Takeru says.I remove my Slime. Finally my Valkyria will attack you directly. Sending Mystical Elf to the grave Takeru's life points went down to 1500 while mine dropped to 2100. I brace myself for impact and slide back a few inches from the attack and with that he ends his turn. Good I draw and say "Let try something new first I play a monster facedown DEF and then play a card face down and then play GraveKeepers Stele and send both Gravekeeper's Spy and Gravekeepers Commandant to my hand I discard Comandant for Necovalley I play another face down and activate Necrovalley. And I thought I was done with these ruins. Takeru growls. Necrovalley aren't ruins, it is just a valley and I end my turn. "My turn" Takeru says next I sacrifice my Magician's Valkyria to summon my Dark Magician Girl (2000/1700).His life point drop to great now I have to worry about the Dark Magician's lil sister. My Gravekeepers Visionary is flipped face up so i activate his effect and discard spy back to the graveyard to keep in on the field (ATK2000/DEF1800) Necrovalley boosts DEF to 2300 so you can't destroy it with your breaker "You done" I ask he ends his turn with one card face down and cringed. I switch my Visionary into attack mode he has 3500 ATK Necovalley is 500 and 5 gravekeepers in my grave is 1000 points I attack your Dark Magician he activates Magician's Defense. "So long as I have a spellcaster monster on my field all damage I take is cut in half." Takeru explains his card as Visionary destroyed Dark Magician Takeru's life points dropped to 700 while Dark Magician Girl increased since Dark Magician was in the graveyard. (2300/1700) I play a card in defense mode and end my turn. "My turn" Takeru says, first I use Breaker's ability to destroy your Necrovalley by removing a spell count n lowering him by 300 points. (1600/ 1000) darn I say as I put Necrovalley in the now "I can reveal Call of the Haunted to allow my Dark Magician to make a comeback." Takeru said as Dark Magician appears. And now for the grand finale. I play Thousand Knives and since my Magician is back he can destroy your Visionary. Now I play Mystic Box. By giving you my Breaker I can destroy your final monster. Takeru said as Breaker appeared on my side. Dark Magician Girl attack Breaker. Sending Dark Red Enchanter to the grave Takeru's life points dropped to 400 as Dark Magician Girl attacked Breaker making my life points drop to 1800.
