Chapter 15: The Duel Giant
I wake up in the middle of the night and untangle myself from Rebecca as it is her night to sleep with me. As I come out of the bathroom, I hear a commotion out in the lounge area I come down in a pair of shorts and a tee shirt. I hear them talk about the duel giant one kid was very scared as he just lost to the duel giant and lost his best card. I go back up to my room Rebecca is still but I am wide awake now so I decide to play on the duel simulator until morning. Rebecca wakes up around 6am she comes up behind me and hug me. "Good morning beautiful" I say and finish and give her a kiss on the lips. "I better get going" Rebecca says so we get dress and I walk her to the front door so she is not bothered by the other Obelisk bule students.
As we walk into the school, we see a group of Obelisk blue students and Jaden, Syrus, and Chumley in the hall way and the Obelisk student snicker and start to walk and Jaden asks "wow is my breath really that bad?" "lousy obelisk whispering behind our backs and then walking off" I walk up behind then and say "Don't mind then everyone in the Obelisk dorm is a bit on edge because, of the duel giant." "Duel giant?" Jaden ask and Chumley say "It is some enormous guy who has been challenging all of the obelisk to duels and winning and by the way the scary part is he comes out at midnight." Syrus takes a step towards me and Chumley and says "Wait I have heard about this he takes their cards too." "Yep, he makes them play an ante you know where you have to put up your best card and when you lose you have to hand it over." Syrus looks a little worried and asks "Isn't that illegal?" "Sure, is that is why he duels in disguise you see he wears all the bule blazers of all of the obelisks he has beaten." Chumley says with a serious look on his face. We look back and see Dr. Crowler coming toward us and is thinking (What an absolute nightmare so rouge duelist roaming the campus and making a mockery of my obelisk's making a mockery of me) and then starts to think out loud saying "and worst yet this duel giant is breaking campus law with an ante rule under my watch if Chancellor Sheppard found out I would get fired grr." He looks at us and he gets an idea and quietly says "Jaden and Seth wait of course they can be the perfect way out of this predicament" He start to walk to us and say "Hey Seth and Jaden my boys." Syrus backs up and looks worried and says "He's being nice something is wrong." Then Dr. Crowler ask "How would 2 like no homework for the rest of the year?" Jaden looks at him surprised and asks "No homework?" Then Jaden looks at Chumley and Dr. Crowler says "Syrus will also have no homework too. Well, that is if you help me that is. So, what do you say?" Jaden doesn't even hesitate and says "Alright" Syrus looks at Jaden and says "Wait help him doing what?" Jaden looks at Syrus before Dr. Crowler gets a weird smile on his face and says "Nothing really just going on a kind of field trip" he chuckles. Jaden steps forward and says "I love field trips." Then Chumley adds in "I love grilled cheese but, sometimes it depends on who is serving them." "So, teach where is this field trip taken us?" Jaden asks. "Oh, around campus I need you 2 to duel and identify the fellow having this illegal matches you know the one they call him the duel giant I believe." "Sure, the guy that is whipping your dorm." Jaden says in a happy tone. Crowler frowns and nervously says "I...I don't keep track of such things good luck Jaden and Seth" as he tries to walk away but, I grab his by his and say "Sorry Crowler but I am not interested and I let go of his arm as me and Rebecca leave for class.
Me and Rebecca are sitting what a duel as Jaden, Syrus and Chumley come into the duel area. "Jaden if we keep on taking breaks, we are never going to find the duel giant" Syrus says. "Really good" Chumley says. "Come on Sy this looks like a good duel." Jaden says I look back at and say 'If Brier plays the right card, he can win this." Jaden looks at Brier's hand and says "Sweet he has Earthquake all he has to do is throw it down." Brier looks at the field and then as start to think to himself (Come on Brier you have right where you want him now win this thing and go home just forget everyone watching you now should I use Earthquake to switch his Marauding Captain to defense mode or should I just attack with my Mad Sword Beast?) "Get a move on I would like to home sometime this school year" say the Obelisk that is facing off against Brier. Brier starts to cower then an Obelisk with long brown asks "What's wrong short stack can't see over the cards?" Then next him with short brown says "Looks like the little baby is going to cry wanna call your mom." Brier goes back to his card and starts to say eenie meenie" he is then interrupted by the obelisk that say miney mo you are going way to slow." " Okay I will attack with my Mad Sword Beast" Brier says as he closes his eyes hoping that he finally won the duel. "What" says as the obelisk student actives his facedown card which is Reinforcements giving his Marauding Captain raising it attack to 1700 defeating Mad Sword Beast and dropping Brier's life point down to 0.
Brier drops down to his knees. "And he was so close" Jaden says as looks at Brier. Baston comes up beside us and says" A class case of stage fright." We all look at him after he speaks and Syrus is he first to says "Hey Baston/" "The boy has tremendous amount of skill but hasn't yet been able to handle the pressure of dueling in public like this." With still on his knees on the dueling stage the obelisk that he was dueling starts to mock him by saying "I didn't think it was possible but on his knees he even smaller than he was before." Brier starts to grit his teeth at his insults. I stand up with an angry look on my face Rebecca grabs my and asks "What are you about to do" I look her and say "I am going to go over they and teach them a lesson." She pulls me back down in the seat and say "You will get in trouble and would either get suspended or even expelled." All four of the obelisks by the dueling stage are laugh as they continue to insult him. As Brier is getting insulted, he gets and goes to the entrance of the duel arena. He looks up and gets an evil smirk on his face and Jaden is then only to notice and thinks to himself (Wing kuriboh coos and thinks yea kuriboh I felt that too.) Baston clears his throat and asks "So what is the crew up to these days?" Syrus look at and says "We are looking for a giant." "A giant?" Bastion asks as he cross his arms over his crest. " Yea you know the one who is beating all of the obelisk" Syrus says answering Bastion's question. Bastion looks at me and then back at Syrus and says "Yes I heard about his titan" As Baston finishes speak Jaden look down and see's Brier joins his large friend near the entrance of the dual arena and says "speaking of check it out." Everyone looks and Syrus "Seriously I mean just look at the size of that guy." "Who Beauregard please he is no duel giant." Baston says with a smirk on his face. Syrus look towards Bastion and asks "What are you talking about he is gigantic?" Baston starts to laugh at Syrus's comment and says "But he I no duelist Sy he is at the academy learning how to design games not play them I know him he can hardly duel." As Bastion says thar Brier and Beauregard leave the duel arena. "Games hmm oh well" Syrus says. Then the spirt of Winged Kuriboh appear and coo and Jaden thinks (I was thinking the same thing) he gets to chase them as Syrus and Chumley chase after Jaden. I look at Bastion and ask "So how is your deck to face me coming along Baston?" He looks and smirks before saying "It is coming along however it isn't done yet." "Okay" I say as me and Rebecca get up and leave, he duel arena.
Jaden comes up behind Brier and Beauregard and says "Hey hold up sorry but I didn't want to wait until midnight to duel you." Beauregard get a scared look on his face Brier steps forward and asks "What does that mean?" Beauregard relaxes for a moment and put an angry look on his face and Jaden says "It means I know you are the duel giant so let's throw down right here." Beauregard gets a scared look on his face again then says "What are you talking about there is no such thing as the duel giant come on Beauregard." He grabs his hand and they start to leave the school. As they are walking down the hallway Jaden keeps asking "No" and Brier replays with "No." Me and Rebecca walk up behind and I say "I thought Baston told you Beauregard can't duel so he can't be the duel giant. "Yeah, if you fallow the facts him being the duel giant doesn't add up." Rebecca says as she fixes her glasses. Then Jaden thinks to himself (No it doesn't yet but it will).
As Rebecca and I get to my room the is an envelope waiting for me on my bed I open it and inside is a letter from my godfathered which says Dear Seth you mom would not let me you send you his ring until she did some research on it to make sure that there are no evil spirts connect to it Sincerely your godfather Pegasus. I reach into an envelope and pull out a gold ring thatlooks like an eye I put and I feel warmth come over like the protecting embrace of a mother. "You ready to have some fun Seth?" Rebecca says from on top the bed with her skirt already off and her shirt open so I can see her green bra. I take off my jacket and pants and climb in bed with her and start to make out and cuddle with her and she falls asleep around 11:30 in my embrace. I carefully get out of bed and try not to wake her as get dress and leave the dorm to confront the duel giant.
I stumble upon a duel between Jaden and The Duel Giant as he uses his Giant Orc (ATK 2200/DEF 0) to destroy Jaden's Winged Kuriboh (ATK 300/ DEF 200) Then his Giant Orc switches to defense mode and then plays Second Goblin (ATK 100/DEF 100) and equips it to his Giant Orc I recognized the move and I step out of the shadows and say "Ok the is enough Beauregard take off the disguise and how about the real duel giant comes out Brier?" Brier steps out from behind the rock behind Beauregard and he remove the coverings from his face. "It's Beauregard" Syrus yells and then Chumley says "I thought he couldn't duel." "How did you know?" asks Brier I look at him and smile and say "It is pretty easier since I dueled a lot when I was in Ra so I know your duel style." Syrus looks at and hopefully says "Alright it is all over now just give back the car... Brier interrupts him and angrily says "What do you mean over nothing is over I won't just go home and, be little Brier again everyone makes fun of me they say I small and a shrimp I am tired them always laughing at me don't you see that is why I get nervous I couldn't concentrate then I met Beauregard they teased him too se we decided to make a promise we get all of them back right where it hurt the most."
(Flashback)
Brier and Beauregard are in their room with many cards laid out in front of them when Brier say "And we will play with the ante rule so they will give us their best card." Beauregard looks at him and asks "But what if we get caught?" Brier gets a smirk of his face and says "You just let me worry about all that."
(Flashback End)
"Of course, that is why he put on the costume." Syrus say finally understanding. Jaden looks a and asks "Well what now your secrets out pretty soon everyone is going to know who you are including Dr. Crowler that is unless you and I continue this duel out in the open?" Brier looks at him in shock and says "Out in the open well I guess you're not giving me any choice let's do this." Jaden draws then plays Polymerization and fuses together Elemental Hero Burtinatrix and Elemental Hero Clayman from his hand to summon Elemental Hero Rampart Blaster (ATK2000/DEF2500) in defense mode and uses her effect to drop Beauregard life point from 4000 to 3000. Beauregard draws and hold to cards to the side Brier and has him summon Goblin King (ATK0/DEF0) in attack mode. " Zero attack points" Jaden says. "Not for long" Brier says as he has Beauregard discards 2 warrior monster to summon 2 half goblin tokens in defense mode and then he uses Goblin Kings effect giving 1000 point for each fiend monster on the field giving it 3000 attack and 3000 defense and has it attack Rampart Blaster destroying it. Then attacks directly with Giant Orc putting Jaden's life points at 1800 and then Brier says "and just in case you forgot your Wing Kuriboh is still up for grabs" and uses his Second Goblins effect put Giants Orc back in attack mode and he ends his turn. Jaden draws and plays Pot of Greed allowing him to draw 2 cards. He then summons Elemental Sparkman(ATK1600/DEF1400) in attack mode and then equips him with Spark Blaster allowing to switching both Half Goblins into attack mode and switch Giant Orc into defense mode then plays The Warrior Returning Alive and brings his Elemental Hero Clayman back his and then plays Polymerization to fuse together Elemental Hero Sparkman and Elemental Clayman to form Elemental Hero Thunder Giant(ATK2400/DEF1500) uses his effect destroy Giant Orc and plays a card face down and attacks a Half Goblin dropping their life point to 1100 he plays Defusion bringing back Sparkman and Clayman in attack and uses Clayman to destroy the other Half Goblin dropping his life point to 600 and then uses Sparkman to attack Goblin King knocking over Beauregard and Brier to the ground and dropping their life points to 0.
Syrus walk forward with Chumley and says "Hey you did its Jaden" then Chumley says "Now Jaden the giant slayer." I walk over to Brier and Beauregard ok you 2 you lost and now I think now you guys should return all of the cards you took." I look over at and ask "So are turning then in to Dr. Crowler?" He looks at and smiles and says "No I just said that so he would continue to duel me." I look at them and say "Okay you 2 return the cards and don't do this again and we won't report it I say and I return to my dorm.
The next morning in front of the school there a bunch of Obelisk Bule students standing around talking about how they got their cards back and with Brier and Beauregard standing behind a stone pillar smiling.
