Chapter 18:Copycat duelist part2
As me and Takeru continue to run along the shore we hear a scream and as we turn the ben we see Syrus on his back. He looks up slightly and sees us come along with other farther back, and says "He has it Yugi's dueling deck and he beat me with it" as strruggles to get to his feet. Jaden goes up to one of the tallest rocks and says "All right you theif you had your fun, but now it's over. Hand over the deck right now Dimitri" he stands there cofidently. Dimitri just chuckles and asks Dimitri?" Jaden leans forward slightly and yells "Yeah." Dimiri fiddles a lil with his duel disk and say "I'm afraid you are mistaken.I'm Yugi Dimitri is just some child who would study other peoples deck and then copy them. You see with these cards I am not copying the king of games I am the king of gamre, and if you want this deck back you will have to prove that I'm not." Jaden looks at him like he is crazy and say "You have really gone off the deep end still I never back down from a challage." Dimitri puts Yugi's deck into the duel disk and say good lets go then. "Hold on Jaden I think I should duel him after all my father is Yugi biggest rival." Jaden look as and says "Yeah but I really want to see how I rack up against the king of game." I look at him and sigh as I slide on my duel disk and say"That good and all but I think I have the best possiablity of winning since I spents hours studing Yugi's deck and if you happen to lose we won't geet Yugi's deck back." Jaden hops off the rock and says with a pout "Fine." I got up on the and say "I am going to duel and when I win you will return the deck so let duel."
I go first and I will will set a monster face down in defense mode and set 2 cards face down and activate Gravekeeper's Serventand I end my turn. Now It is Dimitri's turn drawls and play Polymerization and fuses together Berfomet and Gazelle to bring forth Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast (Atk2100/Def 1800) in attack mode. He then attack me and I activate both of my facedowns first 1 is Coffin Seller(So he will lose 300 LP fo each monster sent to the graveyard) and Scrap-Iron Scarecrowto block his attack.
Jaden look over to Syrus and ask "Syrus you dueled you got any idea on how to beat him?" Syrus think for a moment and answers him with "None I tried every thing and nohing worked" Jaden look back at the duel a lil and asks "So Syrus you saying that Seth doesn't have a chance here?" Syrus takes quick glance at the duel and say "Against Yugi's deck that is a possiablity". Bastion speaks up with out looking away from the duel and says"It is more then that Dimitri is a copycat duelist so in order to defeat him you must explore the weakness of whoever he is copying, but problem is he is now copying yugi a duelist who's weakness are not so well know that is if he has any at all. You see there is no set formula to how to beat the king of games therefore there is no formula how to beat Dimitri now." Alexis comes up behind them with the other girls and says "But I know Seth after he did say he spent hours on studying the way Yugi duels" The all turn to watch the duel.
My turn and I flip over my facedown monster to reveal Gravekeeper's Spy (Atk1200/Def 2000) and when he is flip I get speical summon a gravekeeper and I summon Gravekeeper's Descendant(Atk1500/Def 1200) in attack mode. I then activae his effect a tribute Gravekeeper's Spy to destroy Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast lowering Dimiri to 3700 and activtes Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast and brings back Berfomet (Atk1400/Def 1800) in defense mode. Then activate Solidarity raising my attack to 2300 and I attack Berfomet and lowering Dimitri's life point from 3700 to 3400 and I end my turn. Dimitri draws and activtes Monster Reincarnation he discards a monster lowering him down to 3100 and get back Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts(Atk1500/Def 1200) and summons it in attack mode plays a card face down and activates Swords of Revealing Light. He ends his turn and I summon Gravekeeper's Recruiter(Atk1200/Def 1500). Dimitri counters and activates his facedown trap Dark Renewal he offer both Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts and Gravekeeper's Recruiter and summons Dark Magican(Atk2500/Def 2100) in attack he loses 300 because of Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts putting him at 2800lp and thank to Gravekeeper's RecruiterI get to add a gravekeeper to my hand and I activate the effect of Gravekeeper's Commandant to add Necovalleyto my hand and I going to activate it.
"Wow I am star stuck the Dark Magicanis like the head line of Yugi's deck" Jaden say after Dimitri summons him. Then Syrus asks "Do you think he will give me his autographic?" Then Chumley says "I whish I brought a camera."
Dimitry then activates Thousand Knivesand destroy's Gravekeeper's Descendantand then attacks me direcly putting me down to 1500lp. I place a monster in face downfense mode and end my turn he attack my monster reavling my second Gravekeeper's Spy and I speical summon Gravekeeper's Pristess(Atk1000/Def 1500) in defense mode and monster get 200 more points putting my Gravekeeper's Spyat 2700 attack and 2700 defense and my Gravekeeper's Pristess at 1700 attack and 2200 defense.
"Alright he now has a monster that can stand up to the Dark Magican" says Syrus with grin on his face, and with the same grin on his face Bastion says "And everyother monster in Yugi's deck after all with no egyptian god cards that Dark Magican is the strongest card Dimitri has." Dimitri laughs and say "Sorry but I could help but over hear your friends there quite wrong it is ture that the Dark Magican the strongest monster card in my deck, but as a duelist you must know it is rarly about the card its what you do withit."
Dimitri then plays Dedication Through Light and Darknessallowing him to summon Dark Magician of Chaos(Atk2800/Def 2600) then Dimitri says "Your Gravekeeper's Spy no loner has the most attck point Magican of cause does." He also loses 300 lp beccause Dark Magican went to the graveyard putting Dimitri at 2500 he attacks and destroys my spy and that ends his turn and his turn is over.
"Seth is in deep trouble" Syrus say and then Bastion corrects him and says "Unfortnately Syrus that is the understatement of the year look what he has to contend against the Dark Magician of Chaos, behind in life point, and the king of games deck the trouble isn't deep it is subterrian,"
I draw an summon Gravekeeper's Assailant(Atk1500/Def 1500) and I end my end my and swords of relevings lights end. He play a moster face down in defense mode and then attack my Gravekeeper's Pristessand destroys her and lays 2 facedown now it is my turn again. I summon Gravekeeper's Heretic(Atk1800/Def 1500) and I attack his facedown monster with Gravekeeper's Hereticand it is Kuriboh(Atk300/Def 200) and Dimitri actvaties one of his facedown called Multiply he offers Kuriboh and gets 4 tokens but loses 300 lp because a monster went to his graveyard putting him at 2200 and I destroy 1 token. Then I attack and I use my effect to switch into defense mode but Dimitri activates his other face down Spellbinding Circle stopping my attack and ensaring my montser and my turn draws and plays Card of Sanctity (allowing us both to draw up to six cards) and he drew Watapon(Atk200/Def 300) and is allowed to speical summons and offers it right away to summon Dark Magician Girl(Atk2000/Def 1700) In attack mode and get 300 more point because Dark Magicianis in the graveyard Dimitri loses another because of my Coffin Seller putting him at 1900lp. He then try attacking Gravekeeper's Heretic with Dark Magician of Chaos but I block it with Scrap-Iron Scarecrow he them attack again with Dark Magican Girl destoying Gravekeeper's Heretic and dealing 500 points of damage to me putting me at1000lp.I draw and play Gravekeeper's Descendant(Atk1500/Def 1200) and then play Mystical Space Typhoon and destroys spellbinding circle and I attack using Gravekeeper's Assailant use her effect again and destroy Dark Magician of Chaos and then attack with Gravekeeper's Descendant and destroy another token and end my turn. Dimitri draws and first switchs his Dark Magican Girl defense mode first and them plays Spiderweb and takes my Mystical Space Typhoon and uses it to destroy Necovalleyand then plays Monster Reincarnationand discards a spell card and gets back Kuriboh and ends his turn. I and play Gtavekeeper's Spear Soldier(Atk1700/Def 0) in attack mode first I attack with Gravekeeper's Assailant and destroys Dark Magican Girl and loses 300 points putting him at 1600 and then I attack a token with Gravekeeper's Descendant then I attack the the last token with Gravekeeper's Spear Soldier and Dimitri discards Kuriboh to negate pircing damage and I end my turn. Dimitri draw and starts to remove both Kuriboh and Watapon from his graveyard
" I have never seen this is it a summoning" Syrus asks. "No there's no way" Chumley answers. Takeru speaks up and says "There is a way there are 3 monster who can be summoned this way but 2 are really rare and powerful. The first is Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End a card so powerful it has outlawed in tornament and the second has power eaual to the first but has never been outlawed because of how rare some believe that not 1 exist."
"Well they are wrong" Dimitri says and plays Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning(Atk3000/Def 2500) He acts with and I block it with Scrap-Iron Scarecrow he end his and says "That won't save you next turn" and he end his turn. I draw and look at my card and then I will finish it here then." I offer all 3 of my monster and summon Gravekeeper's Oracle(Atk2000/Def 1500)(Since I offer three card all three of his effect active 1st he get 100 poimt per level of monster tributed 2nd Destroy all facedown drfense monsters 3rd All monster my opponent lose 2000 Atk and Def) and his effect and Solidarity raises his attack to 4000 I attack Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning destroying him and ending the duel.
Dimitri falls to his knees and with head as say "I have been beaten even with me yugi's legendary cards what's wrong with me why can't I ever win." We then hear comeing out of forest, and it says "The answer to that is obvious" and Zane walk out of the shadows of the forest. Dimitri looks up and sees him and says "Your Zane." Syrus sees his and asks "Big Bro?" and Jaden asks "What are you guys doing here?" "Why else we wanted to see the decks but they were gone" Zane says. Zane looks at me and say "We saw the the display case was broken so looked around Seth dueling and didn't want to interrupt such a great duel." Bastion smiles and says "Kind of you" I look at and ask "So you saw the whole duel?" Zane looks at me and say "Not just me your match attracted quite a bit of attenion." We all start to look around as see students from all 3 dorms standing on the cliff behind us. Dimitri looks over at Zane and asks "What now?" Zane look at him with a sad expression on his face and says "Well kid the punishment for stealing has always been crystal clear striaght up cxpulsion, but still since I think pretty much everyone here enjoyed seeing yugi's deck in a duel rather than a display case I doubt anyboby will turn you in." His dorm try to cheer him up telling him how great he was with all of yugi' and ask how was he so good? He looks back down and says "What differce does it make I still loss." Then steps forwards and says "You didn't lose that person you were pretending to be did Dimitri." Dimitri looks up and asks "Yugi?" Jaden starts to rub his nose and says "No bro you could never be Yugi." As Dimitri continues to look at Jaden he asks "Then who was I?" Jaden struggles to answer as he says "Well you were you, but you were you see when you copy someone it's not like you are that person you are you copying that person you yeah that makes sense right" as Jaden takes a thinking looks at Jaden slightly annoye and then at Dimitri and say "Let me attemp to interpet for him Dimitri you will never win or loses until you put yourself out there, and that means creating you own deck and your own strategies not piggy backing off someone elses after all there I no amount of studying that you can do to be able to use someone else deck as well as they can." Jaden drops the pose and says "Yeah what Zane said that is exacly what I ment I mean no offense because just because Seth beat you doesn't mean he could beat Yugi." He get right in front of Dimitri with hand out and says "So how about we put those decks back where they belong ." Dimitri takes his and stands you and say "Yeah okay."
We all go back to where to display is set up and return both Yugi's and Joey's deck to before heading back to our own dorms. I wake up at 11 after the late night only with the spirit of Gravekeeper's Assailant laying completey naked next to me and doing the best she can to snuggle with me in her spirt form I get up and she feels movement and gives a small pout as she see's me getting dress and disappears and I head off to the display.
When I arrive Jaden and Chumley are standing around and as I buy a poster Syrus comes runnin in calling for Jaden. He bends over and pants for a moment an say "It Dimitri he is a it again." Jaden and Chumley fallow Syrus at a run as I fallow slow behind them until we get to some dressed like me and also with he same hair style and tries o copy I let out a light chuckle and walk away and say to myself "He can't copy my deck because me best 2 cards aren't even available to the public yet, and I head back to my dorm with my poster.
