"It's kind of hard to not notice it," Nana said.
Rider nodded. Him, Goggles, Nana, and Hatchi were all there. Goggles was only there because he forgot they didn't have practice again.
"Yeah..." Hatchi rubbed her neck. "It's also really creepy how it looks like the Kamabo Corporation symbol too..."
The billboard on the Lobby Tower glitched out in static. Then when the picture returned, there was the exact same person Rider saw vandalizing the poster of Marina. They were wearing a Button-clown shirt, Purple sea slugs, and an Eye of Injustice. Their ink color was light blue because the color of the lights on the helmet were.
"Citizens of Splatsville! I have come to inform you that the competition to fight the best splatters in Splatsville has commenced! There will be an Octoling waiting outside the Lobby for those brave enough to challenge us! But be warned...we will NOT play nicely."
The billboard went back to showing its usual advertisements again. Rider, Nana, and Hatchi all shared a look.
"Who the heck was that?" Rider asked.
Goggles turned into his Squid form. "I don't care! I'm going to fight them!" He was about to Super-Jump away when Nana grabbed him by the tentacle.
"We don't know who they are, where they came from, or what kind of threat they pose. You can't just go right up and challen-Why am I holding a jar of pickled plums?"
"There he goes..." Hatchi said as she watched Goggles Super-jump to the Lobby.
"I think I might know who that is."
Nana and Hatchi looked at Rider.
"I saw them painting the Order Prevails symbol on a poster of Marina shortly after the last Splatfest. When they noticed me, they ran."
"Wh-who?"
Rider looked at where the voice came from, and so did the Octolings. There was an Inkling kid he's never seen before standing behind him, but a little off to his right. Except, the kid looked...off.
He had medium-length hair with two tentacles blocking off his left eye and a third was brushed behind his ear. The rest was tied back into a ponytail. His hair was yellow with purple spots and green tips. Nana leaned over to Rider and quietly pointed out how he was wearing a Blobmob mask, a small Pearlescent crown, and a silver star-shaped earring all at once.
With further examination, Rider also noticed that he was wearing a Button-clown shirt and Purple sea slugs. Rider thought that was a little fishy. His eyes were yellow with purple pupils.
Hatchi waved to him. "Hello! Are you new to Splatsville?"
He nodded. "My name is Olly." He bowed. "It is a pleasure to meet you three; Rider, Nana, and Hatchi."
"Huh? How do you already know our names?" Nana asked, perplexed.
"Oh, I have been watching all of your battles. Especially the ones with Goggles in it. Say, where is he?"
"Goggles? His fan club should try going that way," Rider exclaimed, pointing a thumb towards the Lobby.
"Thank you! I have always wanted to try him in a fight-t-t-t-t-t..." He twitched everytime he pronounced the "t" at the end. He cleared his throat. "I apologize. I must head home first. Let Goggles know that he has a battle waiting. Please?"
The three of them gave Olly a strange and confused look as he walked away.
"That kid gives me the creeps."
Nana nodded. "Did you also notice he was wearing the same clothing and shoes as that Order Prevails person, Hatchi?"
She nodded. "We should keep an eye on him. Just in case."
