Getting out of the shower. Nathan grabbed a towel and wrapped it around waist. Opening the door, Nathan walked across his room towards his closet when he heard his cell going off. Nathan quickly walked over to his nightstand to answer as he was hoping it was Haley. Grabbing his cell, Nathan groans as he noticed it was his father. Who's been on his ass, on getting back on the bobcat team. When Nathan retired from the team, he became an sports agent and Clay's partner. Nathan sighs heavily as he answered.

" What's up, dad?"

" Nathan, I got great news. I just talked to your couch and he said he wants you back on the team." Dan said with excitement in his voice." He also said you can come back to Charlotte and start you're training again with the team.

Nathan sighs heavily as he pinched the bridge of his nose." Dad, I don't want back on the team and even if I could. I can't, I retired from the team." Nathan says as he grabbed his outfit from the closet." Besides you know why I retired in the first place."

" Yeah, I know it was because of your back. But Nate, your in the best shape of your life son, You've worked so hard for this son. You deserve to be back on the..."

" Dad, just stop!" Nathan suddenly snapped cutting Dan off in mid sentence."I am not going back on the team. I retired two years ago. Because my doctor believe that if I kept playing I could possibly be back in a wheelchair and I couldn't put myself through that again. I appreciate what you're trying to do dad. I really do. But I enjoy being an sports agent. Look, I gotta finish getting ready for my date tonight. Which I am already late for."

" A date, huh? With who?" Dan asked sounding shocked and surprised.

" That's really none of your business. I gotta go dad." Nathan quickly hung up before Dan could ask anymore questions. After Nathan got dressed. He grabbed his car keys and walked out of his room heading towards the front door.

" Alright, guys. I gotta go pick up Haley. Don't wait up."Nathan says as he opened the front door and walked out.

" Bye Nathan. Have fun." Peyton called out when Nathan closed the door behind him. Peyton then looks over at Lucas. " Did, you tell him yet?" She asked Lucas as she raised her brow.

Lucas just shook his head." No."

" Luke..." Peyton sighs deeply as she sat up straight and turn her body to face him more." You're supposed to be moving in with me. In less than two days and you haven't told him yet. Wanna tell me,why?" Peyton asked.

" Peyton, I know this. I also know I should have told him two weeks ago, like I promised. But we both been busy. I've been busy with my new novel and of course, Nathan has been busy with Clay going out of town, signing new players." Two weeks ago Peyton asked Lucas to move in with her and he said yes. One problem is that Lucas still hasn't told Nathan yet.

" Just make sure you tell him soon. Cause in two days I'm coming back here to help you move." Peyton says glaring at him.

Lucas nods his head as he leans down and kisses her lips deeply and passionately as he smiles against her lips."I am gonna tell him tomorrow." He whispered softly against her lips.

Haley was so nervous but little excited at the same time. Haley was almost ready for her date with Nathan. In just a few minutes Nathan is coming over and pick her up and take her out for dinner tonight. Haley just hopes tonight's goes well and she won't do anything to embarrass herself or Nathan. She stood in front of her huge mirror and took a deep breath as she smooths out her dress. Haley decided to wear something similar and casual. She chose to wear her black strapless dress with her black high heels.

" So, how do I look?" Haley asked as she walked into the living room and showed Brooke her dress." Do you think Nathan will like it?"

" He's gonna love it and your beautiful Hales." Brooke gave her best friend and roommate a friendly wink as she walked over to the door once there was a knock at the door. " I believe you're date is here." Brooke says as she opens the front door wide open revealing Nathan.

" Wow. Haley... you're... You look absolutely amazing." Nathan says as he walked over to her and leans forward as he kisses her cheek softly. He pulls away and brought his arm around from his back." These are for you." He says holding out a bouquet of pink roses.

Taking the roses from Nathan, Haley smiles softly as she brought them closer to her nose so she can smell them." Mhmmm they're beautiful, thank you." Haley says as she leans up and kisses his cheek." I am going to put these in some water and we can go." Haley says as she turned around and headed towards the kitchen to find a vase. After placing the vase of flowers in the center of the kitchen table, Haley walked back out into the living room.

" You ready to go?" Nathan asked as he got up from the couch and walked over to Haley as he held his hand out to her.

Haley nods her head." Yeah, I am ready." She said as she placed her hand into his. The feeling of his hand felt rough but also warm against her soft one and Haley likes the feeling. She exhaled deeply as she let's go of his hand as she walked over to the coat hook and grabs her jacket." We should probably get going." Haley opens the front door as she looks over her shoulder." Bye Brooke." She said as she walked out of the door with Nathan following behind.

" Have fun guys, don't forget to use protection." Brooke called out when Nathan closed the door behind him. Brooke started to look around the living room with her hand on her hips as she was thinking of what to do for the rest of the night. With Julian out of town Brooke has been trying to keep herself busy by working on her sketches. She had new designs that she wanted to work on for her new fall line.

After thinking about it, Brooke grabbed her book and curled into her favorite chair and started reading.

Walking into the restaurant, Haley was amazed with the way everything was set up inside. It also had a warm homely feeling as well. Haley was so distracted by the design of the restaurant that she didn't noticed the hostess was taking them to their table when she suddenly jumped a little when she felt Nathan's hand against her back leading her towards the table.

After Haley sat down and took the menu from the hostess with a thanks and a small smile. Opening up the menu Haley raised her brows as she couldn't believe the prices. She doesn't even charge this much in the cafe. The cost for food and drinks in this restaurant was crazy.

" Something wrong?" Nathan asked as he looked up from his menu and couldn't help but smirk a little.

" This restaurant just seems to be really expensive. Are you sure we can afford it?" Haley asked as she kept going through the menu.

Nathan chuckled as he nods his head." Just order whatever you want and don't worry about the cost. I got it covered." Nathan says as he takes a drink of his ice water.

" Do you think, they have macaroni and cheese on the menu?" Haley asked as she was browsing through the dinner selection of the menu.

" Are you serious?"

Haley nods her head." Oh, I am very serious and by the way, I grew up on macaroni and cheese. It's the food of the Gods." Haley says as she smirks and chuckled.

" Yeah, for five year olds." Nathan chuckled.

" Hey, don't judge," Haley says as she looks up from the menu and couldn't help but laugh as she smiles softly at him. Before Nathan came to pick her up for their date, Haley was very nervous. She was more nervous when she kept thinking she was might do something or say something that might end up ruining the date. But since they left her apartment and the moment they sat down at this table, Haley started to relax more.

Within an hour of eating and enjoying dinner with Nathan. Haley started to feel relaxed and for the first time in two years, Haley was exactly enjoying herself. All her nervousness went away. During dinner, Haley started to open up to Nathan more. They talked about their families and Haley talk to him about Karen's Cafe and why it was important for her to keep the cafe open after Karen left Tree Hill, to travel around the world Andy and her five year old Lily who is also Lucas's baby sister.

" Yeah, I remember when Lucas came home and told me that Karen and Andy got back together and that all three of them were going to travel around the world, on Andy's boat. Do you still keep in contact with Karen?" Nathan asked as he takes a drink of his lemon ice tea.

" Yeah, I do. As matter of fact, Karen called about a week ago. She said they are coming home for a visit sometime next month." Haley said as she finished with her dinner and takes a drink of her wine." Didn't Lucas mentioned it? Karen said she called Lucas a week before she called me and let him know that they were coming next month." Haley said as she wipe her face with the napkin,

" Yeah, I guess I must have forgotten about it. I have been busy for the past few weeks." Nathan said as he chuckled lightly." You ready to get out of here and go check out that sunset at the beach?" Nathan asked. When Haley nods her head, Nathan waved the waitress over and asked for the check. After Nathan paid for tonights dinner. He walked over to Haley and kissed her cheek softly as he grabs her hand and walks out of the resturant with her.

Leaning against Nathan's chest while they sat on the beach watching the sunset. Haley closed her eyes for a moment as she hums softly" Thanks for dinner tonight. I actaully had fun tonight." Haley says as she turned her head and looks up at him for a moment." Are you always this nice?" Haley asked as she smirks slightly.

" Only to beautiful women." Nathan says as he chuckled softly which Hhaley had to roll her eyes playfully. Nathan wraps his arms around her waist and pulls her closer as he kissed her temple." With this being our first date. I do hope there will be a second one." Nathan says as he lightly brushed his lips agiainst her shoulder for a moment.

" There might be. But I gotta think about it though." Haley says as she looks at him for a moment. Even though Haley is enjoying this date with Nathan. She still has her doubts. She still can't help but feel Nathan is only doing this cause he feels pity for her. Nathan could just deny it all he wants but Haley nathan knows the truth and so does Nathan,

" I can live with that." Nathan said as he turns his head slightly and kissed her cheek." I should probably get you back home. I gotta meet up with Clay in the morning, we are going out of town. Going to an high school basketball game." He said with another chuckle as he got up and helped Haley up on her feet.

" Potinal clients?" Haley asked as she brushed the sand off her dress.

" Yeah something like that." Nathan said with a grin as he placed his arms around her waist and walked towards his car. On the way drving back to Haley. It became slient between them. Nathan reached over and grabs her hand. Locking his fingers with hers, Her hand felt soft and warm against his. He started to wonder how the rest of her skn will feel against his hands and fingertips. He hopes to find out soon enough.

Walking towards her door. Haley took her house key out of her purse as she turned around and faced Nathan." When do you get back?"

" In a few days or two. I will call you." Nathan said as he leans forward and lightly brushed his lips against hers." Good night Haley." Nathan says as he gently placed his hand against her face and gently stroke his thumb against her cheek bone. He leans forward and kisses her once more." Bye." He said softly,

" Good night Nathan and bye." Haley said as she watched him walk away from her. Haley turned around and unlocked the door. Walking in the door and after closing the door behind her. Haley sighs softly as she leans back against the door. Placing her fingertips against her lips Haley grins softly as she could feel his lips brushing against hers. Haley can't wait to feel them against hers again.
