It's been two weeks since her date with Nathan and it's also been two weeks since the last time, Haley has seen or heard from him as well. This shouldn't really surprise her honestly. Nathan Scott is a sports agent and he does have a lot of clients and he does go out of town a lot. So, of course, Nathan would be too busy to see her.

Wiping down the counter, Haley heard the bell above the cafe door jingle when it was open. Haley looked up and noticed a man she has never seen before in her life, walking in.

"Hello sir, welcome to Karen's Cafe. What can I get for you today?" Haley asked as she smiles polity at the man. The man standing in front of the counter is taller, with jet black hair and broad shoulders. His face sorta reminded her of Nathan, but older.

" A cup of coffee would do just fine." The man said as he took a seat at the booth by the counter.

" Is there anything else I can get for you?"Haley asks as she pours a cup of coffee." There's Apple pie that just came out of the oven ten minutes ago." Haley says as she nods her head towards the Apple pie that was sitting on the counter cooling.

" No, thanks. this coffee would do just fine." The man says as he took a drink of his coffee.

Haley just nods her head." Okay, well if you do need anything just let me know." Haley says as she walked out and away from the counter. Haley started to wipe down the table when she saw Lucas walking in." Please tell me, you are here to work." She says as she places her hand on her hip.

" Um... can you give me a second Hales," Lucas says as she walked towards the man at the counter. Lucas stood right next to him and spoke to him in a very tense and low voice." What the hell are you doing here?" Lucas asks as he glares at the man.

" Nothing." Dan says with a shrug." I mean can't a man just sit here and enjoy a hot cup of coffee, without doing anything wrong?" Dan questions with a smirk." It's good to see you son."

" Yeah, I wish I could say the same thing about you. But unfortunately, I can't, so again what are you doing here? And I don't mean in mom's Cafe either. I mean what are you doing here in Tree Hill." Lucas says as he crossed his arms over his chest.

" would you believe me, if I said I just miss my sons?" Dan asked as he takes a drink of his coffee before setting the cup back down on the counter.

" Nope, not really."

" Yeah, I kinda figured much. Fine, I am here in town to talk some sense into your brother and of course, check out your brother's new girlfriend." Dan answers as he looks over his shoulder and watches Haley dealing with customers." You gotta admit though, it's definitely a step up from his last girlfriend." He chuckles.

" I think you should leave... now. Before I throw you out myself." Lucas threatens as he glares at Dan and gritted his teeth as he felt his jawline twitching.

" Fine, I am going. When you see Nathan, tell him to call me." Dan says as he stood up and lays money and a five-dollar tip on the counter. He then snorts as he saw the look on Lucas's face. Ignoring him, Dan turned around and walks over to Haley." Thanks again for the coffee." Dan says with a smile and a nod.

" Oh, it's no problem. Have a good day sir and come again."

After Lucas watched Dan leave the Cafe. He walked towards the back into the kitchen. Pulling out his cell calling Nathan to let him know Dan is back in town.

After their meeting with a new client. Nathan and Clay stopped by a diner to get some lunch before heading back to Tree Hill. Nathan has been out of town away from Haley for two weeks and he hates it. He hates being away from her for this long and he can't help but worry about her. Nathan knows that Haley is a strong woman and can take care of herself. He just can't help it though. Nathan can't wait to have her in his arms again and to spend some very needed alone time with her.

Hearing his cell going off in his pocket. Nathan sets his burger down and reaches in the back to pulls it out of his pocket. Once he saw it was Lucas calling him, Nathan answered right away." Lucas, what is it? Is Haley alright?" Nathan questioned with concern in his voice,

" No, Haley is fine, Nate. Dan is back in town." Lucas says as he sighs deeply." He was in the cafe just ten minutes ago." Lucas says he leans back against the counter. I am not sure why he is here but I have a bad feeling that he's here for a reason and it's not good."

" Does Haley know about him?"

" No, she just thought he was just another customer."

" Look after her Lucas and keep an eye on him, Make sure he doesn't go anywhere near the cafe or Haley. Clay and I are on our way back to Tree Hill. We should be home tonight." Nathan says as he hangs up before Lucas can say anything else." God Damnit!" Nathan yelled out as he heavy sighs and pinched the bridge of his nose. This is the very last thing he needs right now.

" What is it, Nathan?" Clay asked as he raised his brow and looks at his partner and best friend with concern.

" It's Dan. He is in Tree Hill." Nathan says angrily as he got up and grabs his cell and his car keys." We gotta get back to Tree Hill now." Nathan says as he turns and walks out of the diner. Nathan knows why Dan is back in town and it's not just for a friendly visit either. But none of that matters right now, the only thing that matters is Haley and her safety. Dan Scott may be His and Lucas's father but he is a very dangerous man, and him being back in Tree Hill is not good for them or for anyone else either.

" What the hell is your dad doing back in Tree Hill?" Clay asked as he got into the car after Nathan turned the engine over and backs away from the diner. Clay only met Dan once a few years ago when he first came to Tree Hill. Clay knew right away there was something not right with the man, especially the way he kept manipulating Nathan into getting back on the team, Of course, he knew Nathan was smarter than that and didn't feed into Dan's bullshit,

" Not sure. But I think I know why." Nathan says as he glanced over at Clay real quick and back on the road as they head back to Tree Hill.

" Ahh, Shit"...
