It was a busy Saturday morning in Karen's Cafe. Both Haley and Lucas have been working nonstop since nine am this morning. With her behind the register all day and with him serving customers and busting tables all morning, They barely had a chance to take a break. Luckily around noon, the cafe started to die down. Haley walked around the counter and took a seat at the barstool. Haley pulled her cell out and quickly texted Nathan to see if he wanted to stop by the cafe for coffee and lunch. Setting her cell down she glanced over at Lucas who was wiping down one of the tables.

" Hey. I forgot to ask. How is living with Peyton been going so far?"

Lucas stopped wiping the table as he walked over to the counter and sat down next to her." So far, so good. I mean it's way better than sharing a bathroom with Nathan." Lucas said with a chuckle. Ever since Lucas and Peyton moved in with each other. They have gotten very close and they seem quite happy so far.

Haley nods her head." I am happy for you guys. Remember that guy who came to the cafe a couple of weeks ago?" Haley asked suddenly,

" Yeah, what about him?"

" Who is he?"

" Didn't Nathan tell you?"

Haley just rolled her eyes as she scoffed." Every time I tried to ask him, he ends up changing the subject, or we end up in bed. Who is he, Lucas?" Haley asked again as she stared at Lucas as she crossed her arms over her chest." I know you know, so you might as well tell me."

Lucas sighs as he stares at her." He's our father."

" Yours and Nathan's?" Haley asked in shock as she raised her brows for a moment." No wonder he looked like Nathan a little just older." Haley said with a shrug and a small smile as she started to think about what Nathan would look like in the future, and she is starting to like it already.

" Yup," Lucas answered with a nod." The great Dan Scott is our father. Except he never claimed me." Lucas said bitterly.

" What do you mean?"

" My mom and Dan were dating in High School, well one night on the prom night of their senior year. My mom told him that she was pregnant with me, but instead of being happy and excited about the pregnancy. Dan told her that he was gonna take the basketball Scholarship and he wasn't gonna let some pregnancy get in the way of that. He even tried to give my mom money for an abortion. He wanted her to end it. He said it was a mistake."

Haley sighs deeply as she shook her head in disbelief." I am so sorry Luke, How come you didn't tell me this before?"

" Dan has been out of my life for years, and then all of sudden he pops up a few weeks ago all of sudden. I just never thought to mention it until now." Lucas said with a shrug.

" So, how did you and Nathan find out about each other?"

" About a month after my uncle Keith got me on the team. Nathan's mom came to one of the games and of course, Dan was there and just for a moment I thought he came to see me play and not just Nathan. But he just totally ignored me and kept his entire focus on Nathan."

" What happened with Nathan's mom?"

" Well, after the game Deb came to the cafe and introduced herself to us..Which I thought was kinda odd since she never once came into the cafe and introduced herself to us. And that's when she told me that Nathan was my brother... well half brother."

" Wow, I mean I've always knew you guys were brothers but I never thought half brothers. How did your mom take it?"

" She was pissed. She was pissed at the fact that Deb would just drop this huge bomb especially when she hasn't even told me about it. I honestly didn't think of us actually being brothers, I always thought we were two teammates with the same last name."

" But isn't Keith a Scott and Dan's brother?"

" That's the thing though. Keith never really talked that much about Dan. He said ever since Dan abandoned mom and me, he said Dan was dead to him and he had no brother. He didn't even know about Nathan being his nephew or the fact Deb was Dan's wife."

" He didn't know anything about it?"

" Nope, not until my mom told him later that night when we got home after she kicked Deb out of the cafe."

" Damn," Haley wanted to ask one more question when she heard the bell above the door jingle when the door open. When she looked over she noticed Peyton walking in." Hey girlie, what's up?"

" Hey, Hales." Peyton greeting with a friendly smile as she turned her attention to Lucas and gave him a quick kiss on the lips." I need you to take a look under the hood of my car again."

" Why?"

" Because, I think there's something wrong with the engine. It almost broke down when I drove it here. Babe, would you please take a look at it for me? I don't want it to totally break down on me on my way to work, Mia is coming into the studio to work on her new album."

" I am just gonna call the shop and have one of the mechanics come pick it up and I can drive you to Tric." Lucas offered as he grabbed his cell and called Keith's Auto and body shop. After one of the mechanics told Lucas they can be there in ten minutes, Lucas ended the call.

" One of Keith's mechanics can come and pick up the car in ten minutes." Lucas said as he placed his cell back into his pocket as he stood up and looks over at Haley." I should be back before they get here."

" You better, we got that afternoon rush to deal with as well." Haley said as she watched Lucas and Peyton walking out of the cafe with their arms around each other. Haley couldn't help but smile as she started to think about Nathan. When she grabbed her cell as she heard she got a new text. When she saw it was from an unknown number, Haley's smile suddenly dropped as she was very confused right now. Haley let out a very deep breath as she opened the text.

- Text message from the unknown number-

I'm coming To Tree Hill next weekend, and I really wanna see you babe. Maybe we can go out to dinner and catch up like old times. I miss you Haley.

After Haley read the text she quickly deleted the text and called Brooke. The moment Brooke answered, Haley told Brooke to get to the cafe right away as she needed to to talk to her right away. Ending the call, Haley got up from the barstool and started to wipe down the other tables as the customers started to leave the cafe. She needed to keep herself busy and not think about that text. It's been two years since Haley ended their relationship and now he wants to come to Tree Hill and see her again, to take her out to dinner.

Haley needs to come up with a way to get out of it and avoid seeing David at all cause. She also needs to figure out how she's going to tell Nathan that her ex is coming into town next weekend...
