A/N: Hey guys! Back again with another abstract kind of thing, hope you like it!

Her vision is blurry, whether from exhaustion or tears she can't really tell, but she blinks repeatedly to try to clear the view. Not that it's a good one.

It's dark and red and she can barely make out what's around her. But when she turns to her side Percy's worried green eyes fill her vision with astounding clarity.

"Hang in there Annabeth," he says, voice tight and it feels like the sky is falling all around her as he helps her to the side.

Her vision is still blurry and she can just make out the large grey structure she's leaning against. She slumps down, tired.

"Hey, hey," Percy quickly reaches to hold her head up, turning her so she can see his face. The lines on his forehead crease even further and she can see the cut on his cheek.

"Annabeth?"

"Hmm," she responds, focused on his eyes, losing touch with everything going on around her.

"Listen, you're going to be okay." He's fumbling around for something and her eyes slide to the blur behind him and it's getting harder to fight the way her eyelids want to close.

"Can't see…" she mumbles, succumbing to the darkness for a moment before Percy's touch jerks her awake.

"Stay with me," he says, eyes searching hers.

"Can see you though," she continues as he lets her go to keep digging. "I always see you."

She must not be making much sense, because Percy doesn't answer, just holds a bottle of to her lips. The water cools her burning throat, a thing she hadn't been aware of before then.

"Just give me a second, I know I have it somewhere," he says, putting down the bottle as she leans her head back.

A loud thud to their right causes her to turn but her vision is still blurry and she can't tell what just fell from the sky.

"Sky…falling…" Her lids are getting heavy again and she can't fight it any longer.

"No, no, no, Annabeth, hang in there." Percy's voice is desperate and she catches a glimpse of that vibrant sea-green before everything turns dark.

"No, Annabeth, tell me about the sky falling," she hears Percy say, shaking her.

"What if the sky falls?" she mumbles back incoherently, just barely hanging on to consciousness.

"Annabeth!"

She can't hold on any longer. Slumping even further back she feels the tug of the darkness.

"We'll play hide and seek among the stars."

The whisper is loud, by her ear. Something else is by her mouth but she can't register anything further as she slips away.

-.-

The stars are bright. Big balls of energy floating in the air, she could reach out and touch one.

She blinks, trying to get a hold of herself, ultimately unable to figure out what's going on.

But then, even amongst the dark sky, a hint of sea-green catches her eye.

A/N: And there you have it, what happened in this fic is completely up to your interpretation. My focus with this was more on the emotions and the idea of seeing the ones you love. It's a little abstract piece that I just felt like writing and if any love can make it through anything, it's Percy and Annabeth.

I hope you guys liked it, despite the ambiguous nature of it!

Also, this is going to be the last update of the year for this fic so I'll see you in 2021! If you want to read more of my work, I have a lot of other oneshots and drabbles over on my tumblr: forevfangirlwrites and on my AO3: foreverfangirlwrites! (And of course my How We Could Have Met 2 series here on fanfiction :)

Please Review! I'd love to hear your thoughts and interpretations!

And as always, thanks for reading!

See ya! :)
