AN: First I wanna apologize for not updating this story often as I should. I been so focus on trying to update my other stories that I sorta put this story on the back burner. Not to mention I sorta had writer's block when it came to this story as well. So anyway I'm back to writing more chapters for this story. So here's a new chapter for you to all enjoy. Oh real quick this is a little time jump.
It's been five months since Haley has finally accepted that her feelings for Nathan was one hundred percent real and she was falling madly in love with just like he was falling madly in love with her. Nothing was ever going to come between Haley and Nathan...well there might be one small detail that has come between them though, Haley still hasn't told Nathan about her dinner date with her ex or the fact he wants her back. Haley just wants to put the whole David mess behind her and never have to talk about it ever again.
While Haley rolls to her side and watches Nathan sleep, she starts to wonder how everything changed between them in just five months. Haley never once thought they would actually be together for this long. She was always afraid that Nathan would eventually get bored with her and move on to the next woman that came along. But once again Nathan has proven and showed her that she was the only one for him and that he doesn't need or want anyone else but her.
" Good morning beautiful. " Nathan said a few minutes later as he opens his eyes and grins at her.
" Morning." Haley responded back with a smile as she leans in and kisses him passionately and deeply as she placed her hand against his face as she slowly pulls back and hums softly. " How did you sleep? " She asked softly.
" I slept really good especially with you here." Nathan answered as he bends down and capture her lips with his once more. As Nathan kisses Haley with more passion and heat, he wraps his arm around her waist as,he pulls her more closer to his body. He groans softly as he shifts his body and rolls Haley on to her back as he gently opens her legs with his knee. Once he's settled between her legs Nathan smirks as he rubs his nose against hers.
" I am glad." Haley said as she placed her hand against his neck as she leans up and kisses him passionately as she breaks away and sighs softly." I gotta head back home and get ready for work. I'm opening the cafe today, not to mention Karen and Andy are coming from Florida on Andy's boat."
" Hmm, Yeah Lucas sorta mentioned they were coming out for a visit. They're gonna be here for a few days though right?" Nathan asked as he was trying to remember exactly what Lucas told him.
Haley nods her head as she sat up which made Nathan move to her side as he just leans back against the headboard." Yeah, then they are supposed to go to sailing to Spain and visit his mom."About two months ago, Haley talked to Karen over the phone and Karen mentioned that Andy's mom now lives in Spain and Andy hasn't seen in her years. Not to mention his mother wants to meet Lily and finally meet Karen.
Nathan nods his head a little as he looks at her." You know, you can always leave some of your stuff here and that way you won't have to leave and rush back and get ready for work. Or better yet, you can move in with me." He suggested with a smirk.
Haley snorts as she shook her head." Thanks, but no thanks. I am not ready to just move in with you just yet and besides I lived with my ex before and it didn't really worked out." Haley said as she climbed out of his bed as she got dressed into the clothes she wore last night. After she slipped her shoes on and grabbed her car keys and purse. Haley walked over to Nathan's side of the bed and gave him a quick peck on the lips.
" I will see you later." Haley said softly with a grin as she kisses him once more.
" I'll try stop by at the cafe later before my meeting with Clay."
Haley nods her head as she smiles." Sounds good." Haley said as she waved him goodbye and walked out of his room and then out of his apartment. Heading towards the apartment elevator, Haley pressed the down button as she stepped back and waits for the doors open.
As soon as the elevator doors open Haley noticed a mystery woman with long red hair with too much eye shadow and wearing a very tight black dress. Haley didn't say anything as she just nods her head a little as she stepped into the elevator as the woman was stepping out.
The moment the doors closed and Haley pressed the first floor. She couldn't help but snort as she never saw any other women dress like that this early in the morning, unless they were sluts. Haley never associated with girls like that. Not even in high school and she never has too.
All day the Cafe has been kinda slow, especially this afternoon. While Haley was behind the counter counting the money before putting it back in the register, she looked up and noticed Lucas walking in." Hey Luke." Haley greeted with a friendly smile.
" Hey Hales." Lucas said as he walked up to the counter and took a seat at the stool.
" So, are you excited to see your mom and little sister?" Haley asked as she closed the cash register.
Lucas,nods his head as he rest his hands against the counter." I'm very excited. I'm also excited to tell my mom that Peyton are now officially engaged." Lucas said with a huge grin on his face.
Haley's eyes went big as her jaws dropped in shock." What?! Are you freaking serious? When did this happen?" Haley asked as she couldn't help but to be very excited for her best friend right now.
Lucas chuckled as he could see the excitement on Haley's face." I asked her to marry me last night and she said yes."
Haley walked around the counter and threw her arms around Lucas's neck as she hugs him." Congratulations. I'm so freaking happy for you two." She said as she let's him go.
Lucas nods his head as he realised her." Thanks."
" Wait, what about Nathan? Does he know?" Haley asked as she started to wonder if she should tell him or not.
" Yeah, he knows. He was actually the first person that I told this morning, when I called him." When Lucas called Nathan this morning to announce his engagement. He asked Nathan to be his best man and Nathan accepted the offer.
Haley sat down beside him as she shook her head as she still couldn't keep the smile off of her face." I can't believe your getting married. I should call Peyton later and if she wants to come over tonight and Brooke and I can help her p!an the wedding."
Lucas nods his head as he stood up and gets ready to leave." I gotta get going, I'm meeting mom and Andy down at the docks. Andy's boat comes in at six." Lucas said as he gave Haley a quick friendly kiss on the cheek.
" Alright, I will see you later. Oh hey, I was thinking maybe we can have dinner here at the Cafe tomorrow night. Just like we used to back in high school." Haley suggested as she remembered when every time Karen would close the cafe after work. All three of them would have dinner before going home. Sometimes Keith would join them after working at the shop.
Lucas nods his head once more as he pushed the cafe door open and steps out." I think mom would like that. See ya Hales." Lucas said as he walked out of the cafe and got into his car.
After Haley watched Lucas drive away. She walked back behind the counter and grabs her cell phone and called Peyton." Hey girly what's up?" Haley asked as soon as Peyton answered the phone.
" Hey Haley, not much. Just at the studio working on Mia's new album. What's up with you?"
" Well, Lucas just told me the good news and I wanted to call you and say congratulations. Future Mrs. Lucas,Scott." Haley said with a giggle.
Peyton chuckled as she loved the sound of becoming Mrs. Lucas Scott. Thanks, I haven't even told my dad yet though."
" Why haven't told him yet?"
" Because we just got engaged last night and my dad has been really busy working on the boats. But I will tel him as soon as I get a chance to call him again, when he's not so busy." Peyton has been trying to get a hold of Larry for months now. But every time she tried to call, someone would always say he's too busy right now.
" Well, I am sure he's going to be thrilled that his little girl is getting married. Speaking of which. Another reason why I called, was because I was wondering if you wanna come over later tonight and Brooke and I can help out with the wedding plans."
" Actually I'm supposed to go out to dinner with Lucas and Karen tonight."
" Oh yeah, that's right. I had completely forgotten about that. Well, why don't we do it this weekend then." Haley offered. Haley loves wedding and she can't wait to help Peyton plan hers. She helped Brooke plan hers when she got engaged to Julian and just two months ago they had a beautiful wedding.
" Yeah, we could do that. " Peyton said as she accepted Haley's offer.
" Sounds good. I will let Brooke know and see if she's free this weekend. I talk to you later girly." Haley said as she hung up and set her cell down. When she heard the jingle of the cafe door as it open, she noticed Nathan walking in.
" Hey you. " Haley said as she walked over to him and leans up and gave him a quick kiss on the lips. As she step back a little, she noticed something was wrong as it was written all over his face.
" Nathan, what's wrong?" Haley asked as she reached up and placed her hand against his face as she gently stroke his face with her thumb." What's with the long face?"
Nathan sighs as he moved away Haley and sat down on the couch." My ex girlfriend Rachel showed up at my door just out of the blue."
Haley shook her head in confusion as she was trying to understand what he just said." Um, when did this happen?" She asked as she walked over to him and sat down beside him.
" This morning just after you left." Nathan answered with a sigh. This morning after Haley left and just before Nathan was about to jump into the shower, he heard a knock coming from his front door and when he answered the door. There was Rachel standing right outside of his door wearing a very tight short black dress.
Haley didn't say anything as she remembered a woman coming out of the elevator wearing a black dress. She just didn't thought she was Nathan's ex girlfriend, as she thought Rachel was just some random chick. " Do I need to worry about her?" Haley asked softly.
Nathan shook his head no as he brush strand of hair behind Haley's ear." No, you got nothing to worry about. It's over between Rachel and I. It has been for a very long time now. Besides that. Rachel isn't the woman that I'm in love with. You are." He said as he leans over and kisses her forehead gently.
" Promise?" Haley asked as she looks at him.
" Always and forever." Nathan answered with a grin as he pulled Haley's face towards him and kisses her passionately and deeply as he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulls her even closer to him.Nathan honestly has no idea why Rachel showed up his apartment or why she's in Tree Hill. But he has a good feeling that Dan had something to do with it and he's going have a talk to Dan soon.
AN: Again, I am truly sorry for the lacks of not updating quickly. But hopefully this chapter makes up for it. Also I want to let my readers know, I really don't have a set schedule when it comes to updating my stories. I just update them when I feel like updating or when I'm in a writing mood.
